17 Best Pads For Swamp Cooler (2022 Updated)

Every year I have issues finding pads for the cooler for my business. This year was no different EXCEPT, when I got online to try and find them, the regular places I had gotten them in the past were no longer in stock.

My old cooler pads were falling apart. I needed a new set in a hurry. The local stores were out. I ordered from Sylvane web sight and got them in 2 days. AND they were a little cheaper! The pads fit great and work great!.

Pads were delivered quickly. Package was in good shape when received. Fit was exact and came with attaching hardware. Install easily and has performed well since. Very satisfied with purchase.

home use, new pads seem to have to much space in design of pad where air comes through. water is pushed into home. contacted manufacturer to help with issue, still unable to rectify after a week of daily attempts.

I ordered the product pictured, in the blue and brown box as shown. The published specs indicated a perfect fit for my particular MasterCool unit, an ADA71 model. The product shipped to me was something different, a “Munters CELdek” universal set of rigid pads intended a fit a large variety of rigid media evaporative coolers.

As such, the package contained a variety of rigid media pads and a variety of different styrofoam pieces, which Munters says can be combined in various ways to fit different brands and models. I was able to put the pieces together in a manner that does fit my ADA71, leaving me with two extra, small, media pads, and two styrofoam pieces, I can’t use.

I could have bought the Munters product anywhere, but I wanted a truly fitted set of pads, as advertized by Tractor Supply, and I did not get the fitted set. Second, the Munters packaging said that the box includes two sets of water dispersion media, in different thicknesses, as needed to fit on top of the rigid media.

In fact, no water dispersion media was included in the package, at all. I am disappointed.

The set fits the Mascool 6400 CFM cooler perfectly. Only the two big pieces and the styrofoam spacers were needed for my cooler. Customer reviews elsewhere complained about the smell that lasted a long time after installing these pads, and I could notice the smell as soon as I opened the box, so I decided to rinse it throughly after installing the pads.

Here is what I did: First, I disconnect the cooler fan and turned on the cooler, which ran the water pump and soaked the pads. I could immediately notice that the smell got very intense. It smelled like a mix of bleach and some other chemical, and the water in the reservoir even developed foam on the surface.

After running it for 2 hours, I turned off the cooler, drained the water reservoir, refilled the water reservoir, ran it for 2 more hours, and drained the water reservoir again. The smell was still strong, and I realized that it would not go away easily.

Since the cooler is designed to purge water every 6 hours of continuous running, I decided to let the cooler do the job. That is, I ran the cooler continuously for 3 days with the fan disconnected, so the water reservoir was purged 14 times including the initial two manual purges.

When I reconnected the fan and ran the cooler, I could still notice rather strong smell in the house. I disconnected the fan again and ran the cooler with the fan disconnected for 3 more days. Now the smell is almost gone.

That is, if someone ran the cooler 8 hours a day without doing what I did, the smell would probably last at least 3 weeks.

Excellent find, Allergy and Air. A company I can see myself doing business with again, and again. This product is offered all over the place for up to twice the price, Allergy and Air beat everybody.

The replacement pads are equipped with Styrofoam spacers to accommodate any gaps that may remain present when replacing old pads. This pad is designed to fit several units and therefore the spacers. I assure you there is no difference in the function and actually find that aftermarket pads (I purchased locally) do function in the Mastercool units however the OEM pads do seem to provide better cooling.

Depending on your water hardness, you may find replacing these pads yearly ensures the efficiency of the cooling unit. A build up of calcium on the pad prevents the pad from absorbing water and consequently diminishes is effectiveness.

The product arrived with a hole in the box and consequently a 3 inch diameter by 2 inch deep impression in the media. This is the reason for a one star deduction. It wasn’t worth the time and effort to get an exchange.

Note the word UNIVERSAL which means styrofoam filler(included) must be cut into strips to raise the media high enough for the water distribution housing to seat against the top and a one inch media strip(also included) to seal against the side.

In an ideal world, this products media would exactly duplicate the original that came with the MasterCool cooler. This all said, this product does the job with a minimum of effort and I would purchase it again from Tractor Supply.

I like these better than the ones from Master Cool. I like the filter that goes across the stop instead of that fiberglass cloth that falls apart after a month or so. Came fast and was delivered earlier than they said.

Fit my evaporative cooler perfectly! Nice to have the refreshing woody smell (Aspens, of course) in my home and works much better than the artificial blue cooler pads. I would recommend and will repurchase!.

Black Raspberry Vanilla is the one I have opened now and have used it several times since getting it. It glides on smooth, fragrant, light to the touch and no irritation. Absolutely love the powders!.

I bought this panel as a replacement for the original panel that came with my MC18A Evaporative cooler. I am extremely happy with both of these items that keep me cool in the extremely hot Arizona summers.

Nice size OEM replacement panel for our portable humidifier. It went on easy but had to readjust placement as I put it up to high. Plastic screws bend to easy, stainless steel is better. Watch for very sharp edges on plastic grill! Sliced my finger! Wear gloves and be careful! Glad I could find a replacement and at a fair price too!.

I purchased replacement filters for my Honeywell Swamp cooler hoping that a new filter would stop the unit from leaking. Unfortunately, it did not. I wasted almost another $100 trying to get my Honeywell Swamp cooler to stop leaking all over the floor.

Replacing the filters did not work. No matter what I do this swamp cooler leaks and leaks and has totally ruined my hardwood floors. The worst part about it, Honeywell does not even make this unit. Honeywell sold the rights to some 3rd rate third party! Honeywell is no longer a great American brand!.

Back in 2012 we purchased a Honeywell floor model room cooler on wheels. The unit has worked beautiful all these years but the honeycomb filter was deteriorating badly. When we contacted the manufacturer they no longer carried the filter, but referred us to Sylvane.

I purchased a cooler pad for a 5 year old Honeywell CS10XE portable cooler, that I purchased, used. The unit itself, internally, was in terrible condition, and I had to make repairs. After repairing the unit and ordering the cooler pad, it works perfectly, and keeps my apartment cool.

I bought these pads to replace my set that are 20 years old. They shipped on time the fit was perfect and the water flows well over them. The one thing that took some getting used to was the odor when I first put the water to them smells like electrical fire.

I have been using them for a few weeks now and the smell has diminished to a tolerable level.

I use this product in a Honeywell swamp cooler. Sylvane personnel were very knowledgeable and curious. Without this cooling pad the evaporative cooler would be useless. Depend on Sylvane toget you what you need in stonefly manner.

This is a product that is so simple yet does wonders with n a hot day! It secures to your hard hat and keeps your head cool-which is a key factor in keeping your entire body from overheating. Definitely would recommend.

The only issue I see with this is keeping track of it-but I’m the type that would misplace her head if it wasn’t attached!.

This little helmet pad helps a lot in the Nevada heat. My sis is a heavy equipment operator in a mine, and these cooling pads help take the edge off of those scorching days. She also has a cooling vest, and sleeves to provide some relief.

First time testing, I work out as an electrician in the solar farms during the summer it is super hot , so this product caught my eyes, I tested it out and it did help reduce some heat coming out of my hardhat, but it was a little tedious going back and forth trying too cool it down, possibly needs more cooling beads, but great product.

I bought this not knowing what I’d get. I was looking for something soft, yet durable. Something with some grip that wouldn’t break off in chunks life regular regular foam does. The adhesive is amazingly strong.

I put it on very slightly off centered and there’s no fixing it lol. To avoid that, don’t prep the backing off right away and try to place it on the cooler like you would a screen protector on your phone.

Instead, place it onto your Yeti, center it, then hold down one side firmly while lifting the other end and peeling off half of the paper that exposes the adhesive. Lay it down from the middle out and press down in the same direction.

Then doing the other side should be a cinch. Yeti is simply the best. I love my 3 coolers.

I have two Sea Dek’s. One on my 110 Tundra is use as a fish cooler and one on my 35 Tundra drink/food cooler. Both are placed in the bow of my Parker 21SE. I am a heavy user of a trolling motor and the two Yeti’s with Sea Dek are my “stairs” to get up on the bow and deploy it and steer a course along marsh banks.

I fish Chesapeake Bay (particularly Tangier Sound) and it often get’s choppy which makes the trolling motor operation tricky. Sea Dek’s make the whole operation slip proof and I consider it a must have safety feature.

A slip overboard or into the boat could have very bad consequences. So Sea Dek is perfect for my application and recommend highly for anyone who uses their Tundra as a “step” or casting platform.

Bought this to reconfigure my 13 ft. NRS fishing raft using the Yeti 65 cooler as my seat instead of standard seat on cross brace. This dualed as my seat setup on Gates of Lodore whitewater trip as well.

While not totally cushy, works well and gives postive surface. And great help as a platform when accessing roof rack storage using as a psuedo step ladder. The Utube video gives good basic tips on installing.

I would recommend for any Tundra cooler.

We have appreciated the Ergodyne products, and hope this item works as well and the Cooling vest. We’ve heard good things about the pads that insert into the inside of the hard hats.
