20 Best Plus Size Denim Jacket (2022 Updated)

This is NOT a Winter Jacket Coat as the name says it is. This is not lined, it is not thick, it is thinner than a Jean jacket. If you are looking for a cute light weight jacket you’ve found the right thing.

It is cute and fits well but it just isn’t what it claims to be.

I had to return the first jacket I ordered. It was my usual size but tight around the hips and arms. I ordered the next size up and it was larger around the hips but the arms were still were tight. Disappointing.

The jacket material is not even thicker than a shirt. It wouldn’t be warm but could layer over other items. It does look nice and I will enjoy wearing it.

I was torn between this jacket and the ex-boyfriend. On me, the ex one was very large over my shoulders and went well past them, and this one fit perfectly there. I weigh 120 lbs, and am a 34C, at 5’7”.

I got the Divided Blue which came and was in perfect shape. The one on my IPad looks washed and wrinkled and lighter in color than it really is. I ordered a Medium in both of these jackets, knowing that I would only keep one.

I sent both back. Obviously, I didn’t like the fit of the ex, but this one was really too small. I could wear it open, but I bought it with the fleece for warmth. My husband looked at both and his comment was to send it back.

I could snap it closed but never even get any kind of hoodie or anything other than a T-shirt on underneath it. Way too much money for that at $95. 00. I hope this helps if you are thinking about purchasing this jacket.

It’s Fabulous if you get the right size. By the way, I checked around on various sites looking for a better deal on this jacket and didn’t find any under $100 plus. One other thing I ought to mention is that this jacket is also shorter in length than the ex, more to just below the waist on me, and the ex hit at my hips.

Inside they are the same, lined with fleece, arms are quilted.

I have wanted this jacket for years; long before QVC had it in their inventory!!!! It is a jacket that is very difficult to find in women’s sizing!!! And, if you try to get the correct fit with the men’s version.

well. just don’t do it!!!! This jacket is very fitted and does run small. This silhouette has stayed true to its original DNA since its inception!!!! I ordered the XL. There is never one moment in any day that I don’t have either a plain or hooded sweatshirt on!!!! I am able to then, to put this jacket over any of them!!!! This jacket is also cropped; which for me is a big plus!!!! I personally am not a fan of denim jackets that hang down to my hips!!!! The Sherpa lining is through out the body of the jacket, while the arms are a quilted satin-like fabric.

This jacket is the quintessential, old time Levi Sherpa jacket!!! If this is what you have been looking for , like me, GRAB IT!!! I, myself, will love and cherish this find for many years!!!!.

I know this style is meant to be looser than the original trucker jacket but I was a bit surprised by oversized it is, especially across the shoulders. I usually wear a medium in Levi jackets but I sized down and bought a small and it’s still a bit big.

I did think about returning it but I’ve kept it as I like the roomier sleeves and I’ve struggled to find a decent white denim jacket. If it had been a standard blue one, I would have returned it. On the plus side, the denim is very good quality (as I expect from Levi) and it’s roomy enough to fit a jumper or something underneath so it’ll be OK for Spring and Autumn weather.

Absolutely beautiful! I loved every thing about it! The color shade, the design and the fit! Am 5’3 tall and 125 lb, i got small and It fits me like a glove, I usually wear small sometimes Xsmall and I really love the fit on this one, very feminine and very flattering.

Lengthwise it hits just below my waist so it is a bit shorter than my other denim jacket which is cool. Perfect to pair it with any casual dress for a cooler night. The cloth material is kinda soft and comfortable.

I washed it and dried it only once and it hold pretty well no color fading no shrinking!.

This was my first time getting anything from the Jessica Simpson line and I can say that I wasn’t disappointed at all. This is a cute denim jacket. The quality is great – it’s cut and sewn well, none of those random threads hanging from it like you see with some other brands.

The denim has a nice weight to it. I like the length of it. The fit in the shoulder area was a little tight but not too horrible. Overall, it’s a good fit. I haven’t been able to wear a lot because of the temperature in my area, but the two times I have worn it I have received multiple compliments.

I can’t wait until cooler weather to utilize this jacket more.

This jacket is just so cute and fits so well! It is very true to size, has some stretch so very comfortable to wear. It has the slightest distressing on it to make it look well loved and in style. It washes very well and seems like it will hold up well over time.

My one and only complaint is that it’s more of a cropped style, I would like it maybe 2 inches longer, but it’s not a deal breaker for me. Overall love my jacket and I highly recommend!.

Honestly pretty good jacket!! The material isn’t super light to the point where it feels too loose but it’s also heavy enough to actually keep you warm. Perfect on days when you can’t decide if you want to be warm or cool later since the material does keep u warm, but it’s also not overbearing so it’s fine for a sunny day.

I would recommend sticking with your usual size for tops if not smaller bc when they say oversized they do mean that (I normally do S and it’s perfectly oversized).

I love this jacket and have only been able to try it on and haven’t been able to wear it anywhere because it arrived at the same time as a cold snap that required a heavier coat. (Wisconsin). But I like the design/style.

I usually get my jackets/coats a size up so I can layer it in cooler weather, but the color I wanted (red/burgundy) was only available in my actual size. Still though, I can’t wait till it warms up a little bit so I can wear it.

I feel like the color I chose makes it look less like a typical denim jacket and it can be dressed up a little. The sleeves weren’t a problem for me as I usually prefer them longer.

This is a great jacket. I ordered several sizes larger than normal to get extra sleeve length; I am 6′ tall and ordering a jacket in the right size would have meant ridiculously short sleeves. Consequently, the jacket looks bulky and ridiculously large, but that doesn’t really matter for a casual denim jacket.

I wish OneStopPlus brands offered Tall options for all of their clothes, so I could have a more tailored look instead of always having to wear baggy, oversized clothes.

I LIKE THE STYLE OF THE JACKET VERY MUCH, HOWEVER, THE JACKET WAS COATED WITH FORMALDEHYDE WHICH NOT ONLY SMELLED AWFUL BUT I AM ALLERGIC TO. SO I THOUGHT IF I WASHED IT SEVERAL TIMES IT MIGHT LOSE THE SMELL, UNFORGENTALLY, IT DID LOSE SOME OF THE SMELL BUT ALSO LOST SOME OF THE COLOR OF THE FABRIC TO GIVE IT A WASHED OUT LOOK; I ONLY USED REGULAR DETERGENT ON IT.

I AM KEEPING IT BECAUSE I LIKE THE STYLE, BUT I DO NOT HANG IT WITH MY CLOTHES IN THE CLOSET, I LAY IT OUT ON MY WALKER SO AS NOT TO CORRUPT THE OTHER CLOTHES. THE FORMALDEHYDE DID NOTHING FOR THE JACET EXCEPT TO MAKE IT STINK!.

I received an email from Torrid saying they were experiencing shipping delays, but that was not my experience with this purchase. Shipped reasonably quickly, and arrived in only a few days. I have never owned a Jean jacket before, but after wearing a uniform most of my adult life I’ve been working on building up my work wardrobe and finally realized I had nothing but work clothes now.

I like to cover my arms but most cardigans tend to make me look frumpy so I was looking for some sort of alternative and saw this jacket on the website. I am so glad I took a risk on this Jean jacket! It looks exactly as pictured.

It isn’t too long, it is sort of cropped so if falls just above the hips, and had a flattering feminine fit to it. There is plenty of stretch, so it doesn’t feel restrictive, but the fabric is not thin and feels sturdy.

I cannot wait to wear this with a comfy summer dress or just jeans and a tee. Runs true to size. I wear a 0 and got a 0.

I received this jacket in the mail and was so excited because I have a light blue denim jacket from a different store but I have been looking for one with the darker blue. I seen this one on Torrid’s site and had to have it.

I’m a full 6x girl and this jacket is big on me. It has stretch which is good but a little too much which is bad. I wish I had purchased a five for a better fit. So in wearing it it feels kind of slouchy on me which I don’t like with my cute dresses but is okay if just throwing something on to run errands.

So I Fall in The Middle on this definitely size down.

I had the privilege of trying this on in the store to find my true size. I usually am between an XS and a Small and the XS definitely fit me better, so when it went on sale, I ordered it online and knew which size to order.

I LOVE IT! It is soooo comfortable and stretchy. I love the longer length and the fitted style so it’s not so boxy like the traditional jean jacket. I love the fading on the back and it truly does go with everything.

I got one of the highline tanks and it looks so good underneath this jacket. I will wear it a TON!.

I am 5’3 and typically wear a small on top and I got a small. I ended up returning it. I love the color, however I found that it was not very roomy. So if I were to layer it over a sweater, it would be a tight fit.

The sleeves are also a bit long. Rather than stopping at my wrist, it went up to my thumb joint. I will also say that this jacket has a very strong smell, like bleach. I didn’t exchange for a medium because if the small already had long arms, the medium would have been even longer.

These jeans jackets are so comfortable. Just the right amount for stretch. Really gave me a slimming look. I love it. Material is not a rough jean material like some jean jackets I’ve tried. Just hope the stretchiness doesn’t cause any kind of material loosening and sagging.

Hopefully holds it shape. Will be a very versatile look in anyone’s wardrobe.

Even tho the jacket isnt the medium denim it stated it would be – its actually DARK Blue Denim – it fits perfectly, washes well in cold water, i line dry most everything. But goes thru dryer nicely too.

I love the short sleeves during the 110 temps in so calif. I can wear with jeans, pants, leggins, skirts, dresses all year long. When cold out – layering is great long sleeve shirts under it. OR wear long sleeve jacket.

But love this short sleeve – and if they come out with other colors, will buy more. I have washed it 2 times, no fading, spotting, shrinking. I am 5’10” and the jacket hits just below the hips. Just right.

I’m very disappointed in the color. I ordered a light stonewash sanded, and what I got was more like a medium blue–way darker than what is pictured for the light. While I understand that colors can look different on monitors and there might be variations, this was totally different.

When I called to inquire if I was sent the right one, I was curtly told “yes, it is the right one, and it is probably a picture problem. ” The jacket also is blotchy with some sections lighter than others.

I’d like to exchange it for another light stonewash, but am afraid I would get something even worse. The jacket fits fine and overall was what I was looking for, so I guess I will just have to live with the unwanted color.

I am so glad I purchased this #09932 light washed sanded jacket! It is well made, and the embroidery is so nice. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the jacket to find that there were 2 inside pockets (I did not see this feature in the description upon ordering as it was somewhat vague).

If this will help someone who is on the fence about ordering this jacket. I am 5′ 1″ ish and 160 lbs. I ordered size 14W in the light washed sanded color, the sleeve length is 17″ (underside measurement from armpit to end of cuff at wrist which was perfect for me).

The inside pockets, one on each side, measure 7 1/2″ W x 7 1/2″ deep and I place my cell phone in one pocket, and my reading glasses in the other pocket. perfect for me, as I carry a smaller crossbody bag and could not fit both of these items in my purse.

This jacket is SO comfortable and one of the best purchases I have ever made. Also, the 2 outside pockets are deep enough in which to fit my whole hands, and safely hold my keys when shopping. I have to say, I have ordered a lot of clothing online from other places especially during COVID, including another denim jacket, and have never been as pleased with a purchase as I am with this WW jacket.

This denim jacket was exactly what I wanted, except for a quality control issue. The overall impression was good: med indigo color, comfortable denim, cut and general fit were right. BUT, the right sleeve was one size smaller than the left.

I tried it on over a long sleeved tee and wore it in the house for 30 minutes. Just plain uncomfortable with one sleeve smaller than the other.

This is a really cute jean jacket. I like the wash they used. I bought the 22 and it is a little big in the shoulders and upper arms for me. This is strange because this is the same problem I was trying to get away from after I bought another jean jacket from a plus size competitor, i.

e. too bulky in the shoudlers and upper arms. I’m ok with this issue because I think the jacket is really cute. It looks fine when I’m standing up. But when I sit down, it’s kind of bulky looking on me.

It should be noted that I have really broad shoulders. So I am suprised it’s big for me in the shoulders. If you are a pear shape, you might consider sizing down. A concern some might have is the lack of pockets I do miss having the pockets.

This is a beautiful Denim Jacket, only thing is that it run kinda large. This is the 3rd time I am ordering this Jacket, & only because it runs large. I have gone from ordering a size 18, then 16 & 14, to now a 12, which I know will fit.

I bought this boxy Liverpool jean jacket and the Classic Liverpool jean jacket. I kept this one and I kept the classic one in a light beige color. This one is actually more comfortable. Both are very cool looking.

The sleeves will need to be altered, which means extra money; however, I do not buy this type of item often so it is okay. I am afraid to wash them, so I may dry clean them at first. That will mean more money, so I might take the leap and wash them eventually.

I love the look and comfort enough to give these items five stars in spite of some flaws. One word of caution before purchasing: READ the size chart. It is different from other brands. I bought the wrong size at first and would have saved myself a headache and the expense of a return had I read the size chart.

I loved the color! I was thrilled the web site said this jacket was available in PETITES. However, the site does NOT allow one to order in petite. I took my measurements and went ahead and ordered the regular size Small, which should have fit, but it ran small.

The length was long, as was the sleeve length I am 5’2, 126lbs. Also, the fabric, though very nice, weighs a LOT. So, not a good travel piece. I would still buy this jacket if it were available in petites.

Jacket runs big and heavy material compared to other jean jackets I have. I got XS and jacket was way too big in shoulders and chest area and looked very boxy, not at all like pictures. Definitely not for a small petite frame unless they make in an XXS, which I did not see when ordering.

Also, did not like the heaviness of jacket either. I live in CA and it felt like it would be too warm to wear but maybe if live in a colder state would be great. Had to return.

This jacket is made of substantial denim so I think it’s going to last quite a while. It’s about the right weight to start wearing in the fall. I chose the dark denim and it looks very nice. The jacket fits true to size.

I love my new Jean jacket from Catherines! I had been looking everywhere for the Traditional Jean jacket, in a longer style. I finally found it! I like that it is cotton and stretchy. I can also wear it with anything and roll up the sleeves.

I bought this jacket in two colors. I love the style, fit and overall quality of the jacket, but I noticed after disposing of shipping materials that on one jacket the sewing of the front inner seam was done incorrectly.

The inner material behind where buttons are was obviously not laying correctly when sewn. As a result that inner material is folded out and can be seen when wearing. Since it is sewn together I can’t fix it or fold it back to where it belongs.

If not for this issue, it is a lovely jacket.

I rely on reviews so heavily but never take the time to review anything. This jacket, however, is my go-to piece with every outfit from fall through spring. It’s the perfect weight and a classic fit, true to size.

I have customized it with a number of pins on the lapels and recently left it on a flight. Distraught, I had re-ordered it for store pickup to be waiting for me by the time my cab dropped me off from the airport.

Now I just need to rebuild the pin collection as apparently the airline isn’t going to find my original, but the jacket is indispensable.

Bought 12 of these in multiple sizes for a wedding in October. The dark wash is awesome, they are not short and tight. Super comfortable. May run a little big but think that’s just the relaxed type fit.

Majority of the reviews state this jacket runs large. to me the jacket runs wide…shorter on the arms and true to size on the waistline. I’m a size S , 5”3 but I LOVE the “baggy look” (meaning longer on the arms, wide, below the waistline) so I ordered a size M.

Although, when I lifted up my arms with the jacket on, the sleeves went WELL below the wrists and the bottom of the jacket went above my belly button. Wasn’t the look I was going for. I will be ordering a L or XL in hopes of receiving the look I’m going for.

Other than the look, the jacket does contain a furry inside so it will get you through cold temperatures, the hood is big enough to fit OVER the entire head (which for me was great) and there is a string to adjust the tightness of the hood.

You can unbutton the buttons on the wrists if you like and the design of the jacket is true to the picture. Overall besides what I wanted in terms of the “baggy look” it’s definitely a 5 star. A MUST buy.

I’m 5’6” and currently 120lbs and purchased an XS. The jacket is cozy and comfy and has a slightly oversized look/feel. Even if/when I gain weight, I’ll have room so I’d recommend purchasing a size down if you’re usually a small (in jackets) but you’d probably be ok purchasing your normal size.

I also had my middle school aged daughter try it on; she’s 5’9” (yeah, she’s tall) and weighs 107lbs and it looked great on her; the sleeves are definitely long enough for the ladies with wingspan. Overall, I really like the jacket!.

This jacket is exactly what the title describes. It is very comfortable, yet is is very roomy. For women who are larger on top this is a great jacket, as it will button up most the way comfortably, even with a sweater on.

The bottom of the jacket is small, so if you button it the jacket will balloon up over the rest of your torso; that is why it is not modeled with the bottom of the jacket closed, in my opinion. The model displays exactly how a small woman’s shape on top gets “lost” with it on, so this may not be a great option for smaller ladies.

I plan to use this jacket as a quick “grab and go” option when I need an all purpose jacket that I don’t have to think about matching anything with. It would have been nice if it were made in other colors and darker shades.

While the denim is a nice color and seems to be a nice quality, the jacket is not at all as pictured. Everyone in the comments said to size down as it runs big. Definitely not the case. I bought my regular size and the arms are so tight, I can’t bend my elbows.

It’s also very very short. Several inches above my waist. I actually thought they perhaps sent the wrong jacket but when I scan the barcode on the jacket this is the item it brings up. Would not recommend.

I have been looking for a denim jacket and this one was perfect! The material is soft and comfortable, not stiff. It feels lightweight, plus it’s super cute with the embroidered flowers. I am short, 5′ and wear a medium.

I sometimes wear large because I am top heavy and the medium actually fit me good. I would say it is true to size! The only negative is one of my pockets did not have a slit on the pocket for the button.

I had to make my own hole but it was no biggie cause I liked the jacket so much.

I absolutely love it. It’s encouraging me to work harder to lose weight. My first denim in over 20 years. It feels amazing and I love the pockets inside too!

I’m a XL to 1x bottom but 3x ( I’m a 40 G-H bust)top. Bought 3x and this is NOT a stretch denim but fits very well. It’s also in style with todays fashions. Quite please would recommend.

I absolutely love these jackets! With so many colors and prints to choose from, you can’t go wrong. I have several and decided to get the tiger print for my best friend’s birthday. She loved it so much that now I want to get the same one.

(we are both year of the Tiger so very appropriate) They must have 4 way stretch because these are the only jean jackets I can actually button up. I have a 34H bust and it’s very difficult to find something that buttons up.

The large fits perfect!!! I have these jackets in black, dark wash, pink, reversible tan/floral, maroon and now the tiger print. I wear them with tank and maxi dresses, jeans, shorts, etc. Very versatile piece in my wardrobe.

I absolutely love the feel and stretch of this jacket. I have never owned a jean jacket and this one is definitely a great fit. It has some stretch which makes it comfortable to move around in. I think my only negative with this jacket is the cut is not what I expected.

I’m not super unhappy about it but I wish it was cut just a little longer and fitted in certain areas. Overall, I would recommend this jacket.

This jacket is amazing. I never wear jackets bc they are bulky and make my arms look bigger, but this one is thin and nice and stretchy. The material is perfect, super lightweight, great stretch, but not cheap or flimsy.

It looks great with everything and I love that it has snaps instead of buttons. Can’t recommend it enough. I am between a 1XL and 2XL and the 1XL fits great.

This jacket is SO cute!! It truly looks amazing. I love the oversized look! However, this jacket smells so bad/chemically out of the bag. I have washed it twice and there is still a hint of the chemical smell.

But. Once that comes out, it will be adorable!.

Thicker than a mens dress shirt, more like a Carhartt work shirt thickness. There are no buttons on sleeves, that’s a little awkward but is cuffable. I wear a 42DD/13 jeans, shirt will close comfortable, a little narrow in the shoulders.

I love love it. I’d like to get the dark wash. I love ordering from CS, they have fast delivery from Auburn, AL.

It’s a sturdy but soft denim jacket with sleeves long enough for me – which is a problem with all things long sleeve for me. I am 1. 73m, chest 125cm, hourglass figure and usually get a size 22/EU50.

This jacket is indeed BAGGY, but short if you have a large chest, it became a crop for me. I sized it down because the short look with the baggy looked odd to me, and the 20 still fit a little baggy and most remarkably: the arms were still long enough to fit to my hand, which rarely happens for me! It did come with a manufacturing defect (missed stitch at the sleeve) but for me it was an easy fix for me (though fiddly) and not worth condemning this to the landfill for.

One star less because of that though!.

I like that this jacket is just a shorter normal looking jean jacket, if you know what I mean. I bought my regular preferred size (46), and it’s roomy in the arms even though I think I maybe have thick arms.

I’m 165 cm tall with a short torso and wide hips, and it doesn’t end exactly in the right place. I would have wanted it a tad shorter so that it would end at my waist instead of the beginning of my hips, but that’s a “problem” I have with a lot of cropped clothes.

I like the over all style of it so much that I will keep it anyway, because I have looked for a “normal” looking/working cropped jacket for a while now and this is the best one yet.

I LOVED this coat and ordered it as soon as it was back in my size, I have the blue version and it is true to size, roomy, heavy good quality feel and looks great- but when I tried it on- absolutely horrified to find used tissue in the pockets.

Couldn’t keep it and had to return it and let Asos know. Clothes need to checked for safety things like that- it could have been covid for example. Not happy. Will not be ordering for a while because of this.
