20 Best Plus Size Fleece Jacket (2022 Updated)

It runs very large. I had almost their exact same hoodie from a few years ago and it was exactly this size for reference. Had to to send this one I bought back – 10. 00 postage yikes – and exchange it for the less size.

Hassle. What’s worse is they don’t have exchanges – I had to buy it again and then send the other one back. Could be better. Lastly, out of blue color in either hoodie I wanted.

I love this sweatshirt. It’s the second one of these that I owned and I actually bought two this time. they’re soft. they’re just the right weight and they’re extremely comfortable. My last one saw me through at least four years of daily usage and repeated washing.

They do not have a drawstring hood if that’s what you’re looking for but these things are wonderful. I would recommend these sweatshirts in this company to anyone. I love the roomy sizing.

I have worn the Hanes version of this hoodie for years and have found it great for everyday wear, but a little less forgiving size-wise than I would like. I have also intermittently ordered JMS clothes and am frustrated at the sizing: I’ve order d T-shirts that by the size chart should have been roomier than a smaller size Hanes, but when I received them they were too tight (years ago they were very relaxed fit).

Based on the T-shirts running small, I ordered larger in this and it is so big it is unwearable for me. The fabric also doesn’t feel as thick and warm as my regular Hanes. Wish I could try them on in a store!.

Columbia’s Womens Benton Springs is a product that used to be made out of quality fabric. As the years go by it is definitely declining. The reason why I gave this particular one a 2 star is because after receiving it I realized that the sizing and cut is a bit off.

This was purchased in a large but it fits closer to a medium. I can safely say this because I own all different sizes in the Women’s Benton Springs which I purchased from Columbia and also from other stores.

I must say that although the sizing and cut is quite disappointing, it’s certainly a lovely shade of purple. As a loyal customer of Columbia, I am going to start looking for another brand to love and trust if Columbia’s owners continue to fail their brand.

I have expressed my disappointment several times over the change in their logo. The stitched( embroidered) look is so much classier. Why did a company whose logo stood out on their fleece pieces and other things have to go and cheapen the brand so drastically? First of all the quality of your fabric is not the same.

Secondly, mistakes are made at times in the cut and stitching. Thirdly the hoods on your jackets are too short. Despite all Columbia’s shortcomings I have staunchly support them over the years. To add to my disappointment they change the stitched looked to a tacky strip of cloth.

Columbia’s CEO or whoever made the decision, certainly did wrong by their brand. My review is not to deter anyone from making a purchase because I own and still purchase lots of Columbia’s wear. As a matter of fact, I am addicted to Columbia according to my family.

I buy them all Columbia wear especially the fleece pieces like the one I am reviewing. My review is to let the customers know that Columbia is a company who was and can still be at the top of their game.

A company whose product is a staple in my home. Columbia is a company that they can trust. Please buy their products knowing that when you buy the Women’s Benton Springs you are only receiving 60 percent quality for what used to be a 100 percent quality product.

I still love you Columbia because I know that you will and can make a comeback. Start by changing the tacky logo on your Benton Spring and other fabrics then move on to better quality fleece pieces. etc.

Very disappointed with this product. The material isn’t what I expected from a fleece. It’s like a brushed felt material and is fussy, but not very soft and not at all plush. Most disappointing was the length.

It’s way too short to be comfortable for a tall person (I’m 5’9). I kept trying to pull it down to avoid the draft on my lower back. I tightened the stretchy cord at the hem, but that just made it ride up more towards the natural waist.

I wore this once and was so focused on how uncomfortable I was due to the length, that I won’t reach for it again. Very pretty color and it fit true to size, but ugh, I don’t want to have to keep messing with it to try to feel comfortable.

This is the fourth Benton Springs Full Zip Fleece jacket I have purchased. I absolutely love them. I wear them over a tee indoors in Montreal winters. With the full zip, I can easily take it off when I’m moving around.

This fleece is an absolute essential for me when travelling in more temperate climates. Because it is bulky when folded, to save packing space I use a compression bag. I also like the zippered pockets and the high mock neck.

The sleeves are a little long for me so I simply get them shortened. I’m 5ft 6 & 185 lbs and XL fits perfectly.

When I stumbled across the killer price on this North Face jacket, I was skeptical that this was a 1. A legit company & 2. Whether or not the coat would be a legit NF. To resolve my concern, I called the company.

I spoke with an agent quickly, and she was both helpful and reassuring. She confirmed that the products were authentic, but did explain that they may not come with tags or original boxing due to the fact that they purchase these from the outlets & warehouses of these companies.

She was right, in that my coat came without a tag. She was also right in telling me that their products are authentic, because as far as I could tell, this coat is legit. I even brought it along to a local North Face face this summer and compared the 2 closely.

They are the same. It arrived in perfect, clean & unused condition. The only thing “lacking” was the tag— which made no difference to me. That might be less than desirable, however, if you were planning to gift this item.

I do recommend this coat, though. Put to the test in 35 degree WI weather just last night, I stayed comfortably warm through the length of my sons flag football game. :).

My husband and I have been traveling the country vanlife style for almost 2 years now and this has been my go-to jacket and I have 4 of them. It is super soft inside and out and fits with a good balance between fitted and relaxed making it very comfy to wear while being cute! This jacket is not the warmest in the world with it having very little wind resistance.

But I like this because I am a cold person and I can wear this jacket on those cloudy 70f days without getting hot. For when it is colder I easily layer over top, with a simple windbreaker It becomes surprisingly warm.

This jacket is also surprisingly resistant to little rain and breaths reasonably well while hiking or other outdoor activities like biking. It is also durable and hides dirty well which is great for travel when washing it can be infrequent.

With how soft and comfy the jacket is I have even been known to sleep in one on chilly nights which says it all!.

North Face why did you ruin a tried and true classic. My osito jacket from 2010 is amazing in terms of materials, quality construction and fit, everything is great. Love it so much I bought my mom and daughter one too.

The 2010 jacket gets plenty of wear is so versatile and even with almost daily wear, it is still soft. I decided it may be something I’d like to have another for back up etc and so I purchased the 2020 black version.

It is terrible, the fit is off, the quality is awful, it feels more than a half inch thinner in comparison with my old osito and the zipper feels cheap and thin like it may break around any moment. It is not as warm, it is not as comfortable and just everything about it feels and screams cheap quality.

Probably won’t last. I would purchase several if you bring back the previous design and previous quality soft and fuzzy material and sturdy zippers and zip cords that just feels more significant and durable.

I bought this jacket years ago and it has been the best jacket I’ve ever owned! It is not heavy and bulky, which is great because I am petite and bulky jackets always swallow me up, its uncomfortable to feel like a giant marshmallow walking around everyday.

Even though its not heavy and bulky, this jacket is still super warm and cozy. I can’t wait until the weather gets cooler so I can wear it again. I have worn it so much that the stitching around one of the cuffs is finally starting to come loose and the black fuzzy fabric has faded from so many washes, but I still love it.

Its still warm an cozy, even after all these years. I am planning to buy another one sometime soon, just to have one that looks a little “fresher” for nicer outtings. I am so thrilled they are still making this jacket.

I just wish the logos were still in white stitching, it was such an iconic look to have the black jacket with the white logos, but that’s just my opinion.

I bought this last year and Love this fleece jacket! It keeps me so warm and I don’t have to layer up as much. I wear this baby often & even though it’s been washed & dried Many times, it’s still great! The one I have has the thumb holes, tho.

Got it in Black, Heather Gray, Burgundy( maybe called Raisin) and the Peach color, last year. Just ordered the Green one.

I’ve been a fan of Old Navy fleece jackets for years and years – they’re well-priced, super-soft, and give you just the right amount of warmth. I recently purchased this fleece for a steal – $9! – and I ‘m so happy I did, I can see this being a go-to piece during the cooler months.

It’s not bulky, making it incredibly easily to layer, and it’s just the perfect comfort wear. I’ll probably get more!.

I bought a similar style last year with different sleeve types and this is the same style but in new colors and new sleeve cuffs! The pockets are real deep to fit anything and the colors are dark but so pigmented.

The emerald green is gorgeous and the fit is very flattering! I will be coming back for more colors!.

I purchased two of these fleece zip jackets in different sizes because I wasn’t sure how roomy they would be. I normally take a 2X so I purchased a 2X and a 3X and surprisingly, I like them both. The 2X fits very close to the body.

I only wear a lightweight top underneath. I wouldn’t call it snug or confining, though it is certainly fitted to the body. The 3X fits a lot roomier, I could easily wear a sweater underneath. I wear the 2X on cool days when just a light jacket is needed and I wear the 3X on colder days with extra layers underneath.

While roomier, the 3X is not so much so that it looks like I’m wearing an ill-fitting jacket. So, it’s a matter of preference as to how you like your clothing to fit. I always prefer loose fitting clothes and based on reviews I read I thought I would like the 3X more.

I’m happy to have the 2X because I didn’t have a jacket this style, with this fit in black, and it’s lightweight and comfortable to wear in stores while shopping without getting overheated. Sorry if this review confuses shoppers, but I like them both.

snug vs roomy.

I bought three of these jackets in the same order in three colors during an after Christmas sale. I also sized up to wear over sweaters. The navy and black jackets were back ordered until this spring.

The pink jacket I received shortly after order fit perfectly. Although they were ordered and labeled the same size, the fit of the navy and black jackets are about a size smaller. Not sure if this is a result of maybe being manufactured in a different site due to the back order? I received the navy and the black jackets in separate shipments several weeks apart so I don’t think it was mislabeling.

I was already familiar with this fabric. It is warm, but not at all wind proof for those that don’t know.

I have bought a lot of these in the last year or two. I wear them more now than my sweaters. They are so lightweight and warm and they launder beautifully. They are very comfortable to wear under a coat.

They dry very quickly if I get rained on. There is a wide range of attractive patterns to choose from and the prices are reasonable. I order them in Petite because I find the Regular length to be a bit too long for my taste.

Very very pleased with these. I only wish they came in either a v-neck or crew neck option then I could replace all my “hand-wash only” bulky, heavy sweaters with these.

I am pleasantly surprised with this purchase. I have not ordered anything from this company in a while because the sizing became inconsistent. I was very concerned about how the sizing and fit of his jacket would be and to my delight it fits perfectly.

It will allow me to wear another item of clothing underneath with no problem. I only gave four stars because I have not washed yet and don’t know how well it hold up to washing and drying. I am short so this is a little longer on me.

I am very unhappy with the smell on the clothes I bought. I am currently washing the pants again to try and get rid of the smell. It is like an oily smell and very strong. I hope it will disipate with this washing.

I have never had this problem with Avenue before. If it still stinks, what should I do? Return it?.

Jacket runs small. I couldn’t zip it up but fortunately it looks good open like the model is wearing it. I always read the labels before washing the first time. I’m glad I did because it says line dry.

Had I seen that in the description, I would not have purchased it.

I ordered 2 of these jackets and they aren’t really “fleece. ” The fabric is like a smooth, medium weight thickness fabric that sweats shirts and sweat pants are made from. There’s a nice bit of stretch to the fabric.

They are not lined inside the jackets, which I like because otherwise they’d make me feel so hot wearing them. I live in the south and don’t really need to wear heavy coats. I ordered 2 different styles: a red one with leopard fleece lining the hood and a mustard color with black fleece inside the hood.

The hoods are not removable. They seem to be well made and they fit me perfectly, true to size. The pockets have 2 sturdy snaps that keep the flaps in place and the same snaps run down the front. The sleeve cuffs have faux tabs with a black button.

Both styles I bought have very nice looking detailing. I’m happy with both jackets especially for the great price!.

I ordered this product a week ago and I received it early in the day exactly when I was told to expect it. This jacket is more beautiful than in the picture. It is a perfect fit, and I usually have trouble with my size because I am a petite woman.

It has a zipper that goes from top to bottom with a snap on top and one on the bottom. The hood is a good fit and doesn’t slide down off my head. I love the check print and the inside is nice and warm.

I am so looking forward to cooler weather and a chance to show this jacket off. Thank you Zulily for this great product. By the way, this is my first time ordering from you guys. You didn’t disappoint me.

I love the concept of this jacket with a cute Buffalo plaid pattern, zipper front, frog buttons, and a hood. Unfortunately, the sleeves were a little short and wrist openings were wide with no ribbing or ability to adjust.

The fabric was soft but had that strange subtle roughness that feels cheap and it didn’t hang well. Finally, the frog closure construction was very cheap, with a shiny vinyl that didn’t look like it would wear well in cold weather.

Am disappointed to be returning it.

In comparing this pullover to the men’s pullover there are distinct differences. Men’s : thin, low pile fleece with Eddie Bauer logo stitched on the chest, and fit is better. The women’s top I received is thick, cheap looking fleece with a tag in the side seam at the bottom with the Eddie Bauer name.

It is terribly unfitted and the sleeves are a few inches long. It is not an attractive top. I am keeping to wear around the house but wouldn’t wear it out. I was dissappointed since it was on back order for two months and once I received it there was nothing about it that seemed like the one my husband ordered.

I had to order a Columbia fleece that was more fitted and made of nicer, low pile fleece. I feel the quality of Eddie Bauer has been very disappointing compared to years ago. For reference, I am 5’4′ and 115 lbs.

I bought a small regular. It is very big.

This was my first and most likely last Eddie Bauer order based on my bitter disappointment. I am accustomed to poor quality and poor style as I cannot afford brand name products. This winter I decided to surprise myself with a well known brand Eddie Bauer fleece sweater.

Perhaps my expectations were too high, but the sweater has no shape, very thin, super light weight (like styrofoam), oversized and already seem to be worn out. Looks wrinkled, sticks together like it was washed over and over again.

To return the product the company charges ($7) to print out the return label. It seems to be more than the value of the product itself. Truly feels like a waste of resources. Without a doubt, I trusted the brand name Eddie Bauer to receive a quality product with quality service.

Very disappointed with my experience.

Runs small- I recommend getting one size larger than your normal size. I’ve had my eye on this blazer for a good while. I finally took the plunge when it looked like Eddie Bauer might discontinue this.

The cost is more than I typically like to spend on clothes, but I’ve liked everything I’ve bought in the Departure line, so I was willing to try it. I’ve never found a blazer that was comfortable enough that I’d actually wear it.

until now. I’ve had this blazer 2 months and it works great for church, for business casual meetings, casual get togethers, and for travel. I’ve already used it for all those purposes. The blazer is light weight and travels well.

I got the navy color and am pleased with my purchase.

Love this coat for taking my dog outside in cold weather. It’s handy with a generous hood that keeps you warm and dry. I like the fabric. It is easy to care for. I have washed it many times and it is still in excellent condition.

It is a little on the heavy side, but I don’t mind because I mainly wear it for warmth. It is a generous size and fits well over sweatshirts and other warm clothes. It is my go to jacket when I need to go outside to walk my dog in the winter.

I think the word that best describes it is “cozy. “.

Great coat for winter; is very warm, but not bulky. I hate to drive with a winter coat, but this one is great. It is actually warmer than most of my winter coats.

I have been searching for a jacket that is comfortable to drive in & run into a store. Love the side pockets that r needed for keys & small coin purse. The length of it which to me is so important also the hood for in bad weather! Perfect jacket cause I get to hot in a heavy coat any more!! Love it it came on white for date night! Buy again!!!!.

The body and sleeves fit very comfortably and the fleece is a nice weight for cooler fall weather and evening chill. Love the kangaroo pocket with zippers too! But the shape of the hood ruins what would be a perfect hoodie.

The hood is meant to be like a turtleneck when it’s not being worn, but it felt snug around my neck. When I wore the hood, my head looked like a Teletubby. The opening just needs to be larger so it doesn’t look like a porthole or turtleneck, and more like an ordinary hooded sweatshirt.

Sorry, I had to return it. If you are ok with the weird fit of the hood and don’t mind looking like an astronaut, then I recommend this product because it’s well made (quality material & durability).

This 1/4 zip is so very incredibly comfortable and it fits me perfectly. I am a big guy. My shirt size is 2XL. Sometimes, the premium outdoor adventure brands cut their sizes small. A 2XL fits more like an XL.

you get the picture. I have recently purchased a few pieces of gear from The North Face and they each seem to be cut as described. Some guys prefer the more tapered, form fitting top which accentuates their small waistline and the ‘V’ that they worked so hard to get.

I almost have a ‘V’, but I been stuck on ‘U’ for a while now. If you have a ‘U’, or if you are just wanting a fuller cut piece of outerwear, this is the fleece for you. It fits great, feels even better.

and it has the iconic The North Face logo on it. The North Face TKA Glacier 1/4 Zip just might be the perfect fleece top.

I had worn this brand/style fleece for many years and decided to get new one. They are totally different than they used to be. Thin, cheap fabric. Do not like the “small band” at sleeves and bottom-used to be a hem.

After about a year the fabric is all “pilly” and wearing think on elbows. I ordered same size I wore before and this one fit like a garbage bag-straight cut and way too long-I had to alter it in around waist area.

Not worth the price. Will not buy again. Quality has gone downhill. Ordered my husband the men’s and it immediately got 3 tiny holes after washing. His fit was good, but same cheap fabric.

The sizing of this is so off compared to other target brands. I got one last year and ordered a 4x. It was massive so I returned. I tried this one in a 3x (other brands I’m around 18/22) and it’s the same, if not bigger than last years 4x.

Decided to return and will just go with getting an Eddie Bauer when they go on sale since their sizing is cohesive.

This is super comfy! I like how it’s the same style as a north face but without paying an arm and a leg for one. I’m 5’5 130lbs and after reading the reviews I played it safe and ordered a medium but I definitely could have gotten a small.

But the medium still works fine! I can wear a sweat shirt underneath and still be comfortable.

I’m 5’6, 135 pounds and a medium fit me well. I usually go between a medium and a large but I like things to be a bit looser. I liked the color blocking and the pockets are always appreciated. I wear this indoors in the winter and it can be worn outdoors for the fall.

I now have 4 of these jackets and I am very happy with them. They provide me with the comfort and warmth that I need. Because of some medical issues, I was always complaining of feeling cold. With my fleece jacket on, I am comfortably warm now.

Added plus is that they launder beautifully! My only disappointment is a discrepancy in sizing. When I ordered my first 2 I ordered petite medium. They are a little big on me through the shoulder width but I’ve accepted them for at home use.

When I ordered my next 2, I ordered petite small. My heather gray which arrived first is also big and measures up with the first two. My heather blue which was back ordered came a couple of weeks later and fits perfectly.

It does measure smaller than the first three. Overall, the warmth wins me over. I love them! I will recommend them to a friend but I would caution them about sizing.

I wear this over my scrubs. The navy is true to color and goes well with the “UA Advantage” brand navy scrubs our hospital requires that we wear. The sleeves have fitted “cuffs” at the end that pull up easily when I have to wash my hands, or just get my sleeves out of the way.

I also want to address my experience with lint, because this was an issue for other buyers. When I bought this jacket about 3 years ago, no issues at all. This time around, I only had lint stick to the shirt I had on under the jacket after the first washing.

There were no other issues with subsequent washings. The amount of lint on the lint screen in my dryer was comparable to lint left behind for any other sweatshirts our family puts in the dryer. I would buy again.

I was so disappointed. I ordered these jackets a while back which is my normal Blair size. They were so big all the way around that it was hysterical. I am very short, so, while I expected the sleeves to be ridiculously long on me, they at least were wide enough to pull them all the way up to my shoulder.

I then ordered 2X jackets. They went around me and snapped , fitting just like they should. Unfortunately, the sleeves could fit a long armed skinny woman. The sleeves would only go barely above my elbows, not beginning to reach my shoulders.

I can’t wear a jacket with sleeves that don’t reach my shoulders and that I can’t fasten the top snaps. I give up. I think I’m finished with Blair. I’ve had sizing issues at times in the past.

I’m not a polyester fleece person. They pill, they burn, they feel gross when you sweat in them. I’ve had a bunch, mostly gifts, and disliked them all. This one, I love. I’d been looking for something warm and casual for around the house, but that I was willing to get splashed with dishwater, that wouldn’t melt on the wood stove when reloading logs, and that I wouldn’t mind wearing out the elbows propping myself up on the wood floor in front of the TV.

I was leaning toward a coarser wool cardigan that I could throw over my nicer work clothes in the evening, but I’m old enough that I can’t pull one off in an ironic, hipster way anymore; they all just made me seem more ancient than I already am.

This fleece caught my attention online because of the color. It’s entirely subjective, and I usually don’t shop by color, but this specific orange, with this specific gray, in this particular pattern just struck my fancy.

So, the next time I was in Freeport I stopped by the store to try one on. To my surprise, I loved it – the fabric is like no fleece I’d felt before, and it fits like it was tailor made for me. More specifically: POSITIVE + The fabric is weird and awesome.

It’s dense, a little stretchy, smooth on the outside, and fuzzy on the inside. To me, it’s more reminiscent of neoprene than to other fleeces I’ve had. + The fit is perfect. I’m 6’2″, 42″ chest, 195 lbs, with long 37″ arms.

The Medium Tall is perfect over a T-shirt. It is slim and long and just feels and looks great. Thank you to L. L. Bean for making Tall sizes at all, and Medium Tall at that – this size is very hard to find.

Bean “tall” sleeves tend to be short, but these ones are perfect. Note that if I was planning to wear this over more layers (e. g. button down shirt) I would have opted for the Large Tall; this one would be tight over more than a T-shirt, especially in the arms.

Neither size is inherently better; just pick appropriately for how you plan to wear it. + I love the simple construction. It has one breast pocket for carrying my phone, and that’s it. No gaping side pockets, extra zippers, hood, etc.

– just a basic, trim top that does it’s job admirably with nothing extraneous. Oh, and the pocket actually fits my large phone, with room to spare. + The neck is tall and snug enough to keep drafts out, without being restrictive.

+ This is a true half-zip – the zipper comes fully half-way down the chest. I was looking for something with an open front, but this is just as good – a little less convenient, but also without a bulky full zipper that inevitably distorts the shape.

It’s a good compromise. NEUTRAL o The entire inside is fuzzy, including the arms. This feels good on my skin by itself, or over a short-sleeve T-shirt. It’s a challenge to fit a long-sleeved base layer through the fuzzy arms, though.

Again, perfect for my intended use, but I’d be frustrated by this if I planned to layer it and/or take it on and off more than I do (e. g. hiking). o The construction seams are simple overlocks. I’d prefer those high-end ISO 607 flatlock seams that you can only get from a commercial machine.

The existing serged seams are functional, though, and acceptable for a fleece of this price. NEGATIVE – It has permanent wrinkles that were present when I bought it, and that haven’t gone away after repeated washings.

Even light ironing or steaming did not fix them. It must be a feature of this fabric that it creases and won’t go flat again. They’re copious and noticeable. It always looks like it just came from the bottom of a huge pile in the back stockroom.

– The bottom hem tends to curl up. I’m constantly doing a Picard-type maneuver to tug it flat again. This seems to be exacerbated by the fact that the side seams aren’t vertical, but rather curve frontward toward the bottom.

It’s subtle, but the seams and curling can give this man’s garment a hint of femininity that I don’t enjoy. I’m pretty obsessive, though, so most people would probably never notice. If you like fleeces, and you only need the simple features that this one includes, I think you’ll enjoy this quality garment as much as I do.

I’m still on a quest for a natural fiber outer layer, but if L. L. Bean makes other clothing from this material, I may again be tempted to the dark side and consider adding a second synthetic fleece to my wardrobe.

I bought this sweater fleece in a gorgeous purple color (Bright Sapphire) 2 years ago and have loved wearing it three seasons out of the year. It’s warm, it’s comfortable, and it fits my short-waisted frame perfectly.

To my frustration, though, one of the pocket zippers recently stopped working, and the Bright Sapphire color was discontinued. Hoping to replace it, I ordered the Arctic Blue, which is a beautiful shade, but to my surprise it has bright white pocket lining that’s visible anytime the pockets are unzipped and doubly visible anytime someone sees the inside of the jacket.

This odd design choice makes the jacket look cheaper than its fleecy peers and more likely to show dirt, so I sent the Arctic Blue back and ordered the Teal Blue. The Teal Blue is really more deep green than teal, but that’s okay with me.

What’s surprising here is that it has navy trim rather than a trim in a darker shade of the same color, as is standard on other sweater fleece. I’m keeping it because it’s still fairly attractive, and it has gray pocket lining instead of white, but I think it would be much prettier with a complementary seam color (darker teal) as is the case with the other sweater fleece jackets.

If the Arctic Blue had had gray pocket lining (instead of white) I would have kept it instead. Ultimately I’m just sorry that keeping either fleece involved an unexpected compromise in design. But at least I won’t be cold this season.

On a happier note: I had to call the Freeport store to get the teal fleece in my size and was bowled over by the superb and efficient custom service I received after the team somehow goofed and pulled the wrong color for me the first time.

LLBean continues to wow me with their generous treatment of customers, and that will keep me coming back even when I have fleece design frustrations! :).

The color blue is beautiful and the sweater jacket is made using a high quality material. Unfortunately we live in the south and although we have a winter, the jacket was for my 96 year old father in Assisted Living who spends a great deal of time outside walking the grounds of the facility.

it seems to be a little heavy for everyday use. I was trying to buy him another sweater jacket that he had purchased 10 years ago from you and still uses. Although you had one for women, you did not have a lighter material for men.

Also, we had to buy an extra large for my father because you only had very dark colors that were not as beautiful in the regular size. So he has to roll up the sleeves a little bit and he feels it’s a bit long.

I have found that’s because we live in a warmer area of the country by the time we decide to purchase something for winter, your colors and sizes are picked over. We are originally from New England and have retired to a South Carolina Beach area.

We love the quality of your products, but this is not the first time that we have been disappointed with the lack of variety of sizes and colors because you don’t have them in stock. Your customer service representative tried to help find the oldersweater weight but for some reason you did not have it.

I have bought a “fresh” new one every Fall for 3 years now. I live in the Midwest and since I am usually always wearing a shirt and sweater in the winter, this is a perfect jacket for going to church, running errands etc.

Even on the colder days of winter I wear it with a ruana scarf over it to keep me warm. It is not lined and I like that fact, less bulky. the only reason why I buy a new one every Fall is it is washable! But after a few washings each season it just looks tired and faded.

For the price, why not just buy a fresh one?!! I give the old one away to a thrift store and someone else can be blessed by it. I like the sleeve length and the way it is long enough to cover my thighs, and is not bulky.

Bought the purple and was pleasantly surprised to see a big improvement over this same style I ordered about 2-3 years ago: it now has a full lining. These coats are a great way to dress up a little over a denim jacket or the anorak jackets, even tho I am wearing jeans or leggings.

They are true to size with sleeves that are long enough for me (a hard thing to find in coats, shirts, sweaters, etc. ), but they are roomy enough to add a layer underneath in colder weather, and now the full lining makes that even easier.

Probably not warm enough for extended sub-freezing weather up the in the north, but great for winter days here in SC. Colors on both coats I have purchased are true and not washed-out. This is a longer coat, too, so it can easily hide extra pounds.

These jackets are super cute! I have one in three different colors. They don’t pill, and at almost 5’8” and 160 lbs, I can definitely button them up and they come down past your booty. They even fit nicely when I was 55 lbs heavier.

The pleats in the back make them look very stylish and classy. It’s fun to dress them up with different scarves and hats, but these are also great for casual wear. The only thing is that they are great for late spring and fall — I live in the Pacific Northwest and the wind does go right through the material, and while a little rain is no big deal, if it’s pouring I imagine they’d get very wet.

Good product. Well made, comfortable. Good fit, good fabric, good colors. BUT the brushed fleece lining, which is soft and comfortable at first, soon starts to pill. The result is a ‘lining’ that gets more and more scratchy as the pills develop into harder and harder little pellets.

SUGGESTION – skip the brushed lining and use a fabric that does not pill. Could be just a heavy tee shirt material. Don’t know what cotton terry is, but maybe that would work.

I have a full rainbow of colors of these snap fastened fleece jackets. I wear one almost every day of the year–on a winter, of course; on a summer day this jacket is the perfect weight warmth for overly refrigerated air conditioned spaces; on fall or spring days, it’s just what I need for change-of-season months.

I prefer a cardigan style jacket as opposed to a pull over sweater or sweat shirt because it’s easier to take off in a hurry when the inevitable “hot flash” strikes. (It’s perfect for women of a certain range of generations.

so comfy and well made, snaps stay strong for years! I have several now, buy them when good promos come along. the fit is true once you figure out you right size. the chart says 2X for my 46″ bust, but womens XL turns out to be just right.

minor complaints, the sleeves could be a little longer and the back tends to be shorter than the front, not a flattering look. I do detest the unfair, unkind, blatant fat-shaming pricing, even wide shoes! is this prejudicial practice legal in this day and age?? because of this I am now going boycott haband until this practice is corrected, and hope my fellow ” real size” women will do the same.

I’ve been using this jacket for a couple of weeks now in the San Francisco Bay area and overall I’ve been very happy with it. For some context moving forward, the weather’s been mid 30s- low 40s in the morning up to low-mid 60s during the day (and quickly dipping back into the low 50s once the sun has gone down!).

First impressions, I’d say it’s heavier than it looks but doesn’t feel heavy while wearing it. I could see this being somewhat of an issue if you’re a weight weeeny for backpacking (as I’m sure there are lighter/warmer combos) but for anything outside that situation, it’s not an issue.

My jacket is a burnt orange color (or I think that’s what you’d call it). I wish it was a little brighter, kinda like the REI rain jacket from a few years back but that’s a rather minor quibble. Fit is very good on me and, maybe more importantly, consistent with some other recent REI products I’ve used.

I’m 6 ft tall and somewhat thin at ~150lbs and the men’s small was a good fit, even when wearing a few layers underneath. I’d say it was comfortable by itself (aka just wearing a t-shirt underneath) to the low 50s while active and if you threw something heavier underneath (I wear a midweight merino wool hoody a lot) it was fine into the upper 30s.

It also works great when sitting around in a rather cold room typing at a computer over that t-shirt/hoody combo as well. I don’t believe the jacket is claimed to be windproof (or even resistant for that matter) and that is indeed the case.

I’d say this was maybe one of the few negatives for me personally. I do around 30 minutes of bike commuting every morning (towing my kid so not that fast or strenuously) and even the wind generated by doing that was enough to make the jacket not ideal once the temps were below 50.

I have another jacket that is windproof that is a better option even though it’s not as warm. That said, if you’re using this for hiking (or just in general), throwing a windproof shell over it would fix the issue.

It has not rained in the past few weeks so I cannot speak to how well it performs when damp or wet. I like that there’s a little bit of stretch to it…makes it easy to use the thumb holes (another personal favorite feature of any jackets!) but have the jacket sit a wrist length when not stretched.

There’s also not a ton of pressure on the thumbs when using the holes because of this stretch. The outside is reasonably soft and somewhat smooth (at least compared to the inside). I thought the quilted pattern on the inside took a little getting used to (not saying its uncomfortable but it’s my first time with this pattern so it’s just a bit different).

Overall, I’m very happy with this jacket and look forward to trying it out on more adventures! I’ll try and update this review if I find out other things of note!.

Overall, there is a lot to like about this jacket, but the fit is a bit off for me, and the weight and warmth dont match my needs for either a warmer outdoor jacket or something lightweight for around the house.

I love the color and feel of the fabric – soft sage green-gray and with a quilted look and feel. The main fabric itself doesnt feel thick or heavy and I’d gauge the insulation factor to be around that of a thick flannel shirt-jacket.

The pockets are spacious and well placed, and the arms are on the longer side – which I prefer to be able to pull over my hands and actually use the thumb holes. The biggest issue for me is with the sizing, more on that below, which I think contributes to it feeling heavier than I would expect for its light insulation and the seemingly lightweight fabric.

As for the sizing, it feels more like a mens cut, enough that I double checked to make sure I ordered a women’s size. It fits okay in the torso and sleeves – not too loose or too tight, but there is so much extra space and fabric around the shoulders and upper chest and the hem is the tightest part, falling past my hips cover most of my butt.

This is an awkward length and feels like it should be a few inches shorter for a normal hip-length jacket or a few inches longer and looser for more of a tunic fit. I’m pretty average height and build and my REI-brand down jacket fits me fine, so this seems to be a different cut.

It would probably be great for women with broader shoulders and/or narrower hips, but wasn’t quite right for me. I wore the jacket around the house, on a short hike, out with friends, and walking around the neighborhood and, despite the fit issues, it was comfortable enough to forget I had it on and I enjoyed it overall, and handled going through the washer and dryer with no issues.

First off, know that I love jackets and have at least one for seemingly any weather. A new jacket must therefore claim a spot in a niche—either supplanting one already in use by outperforming it or filling a need I didn’t even know I had.

Unfortunately, the Flash Power Air Jacket does neither. The first thing I noticed was its weight—too heavy for the amount of warmth it provides and too heavy to be a light jacket for mild weather. It is also not a coat I’d want to carry in my pack if it was not needed.

When sweating, it didn’t move moisture quickly enough. Nor was it stellar at repelling moisture or drying fast or cutting the wind on cold days. It felt more like an underlayer, and this is how I wore it on most outings.

Sizing is always tricky. I wear a M or L in most brands, and I own both M and L REI Co-op women’s jackets. The jacket I tested was on the larger of the large size range, but not in all ways. Mostly I found it wide enough, but not too wide, to move comfortably and even wear a decent warmer layer beneath, but it was long in the arms and waist.

I don’t like how it flares at the waist especially for active pursuits—it allows too much air movement underneath in cold weather. I do like the deep zippered pockets and low profile collar. I was not impressed with the quilted waffle pattern on the inside, which reminded me more of a cotton blanket than high-tech insulation.

The main problem with this jacket is that there are plenty of other options on the market that do what this jacket attempts to do, but they do it better and at a comparable price. Plus, importantly, they are lighter weight and more packable.

I really wanted to like this jacket more than I did, and it is the first piece of gear in a long while that I would not recommend to others. I ended up wearing it around the house on cold days and occasionally for urban walks on the warmer days, but not grabbing it for hiking or biking or cold weather pursuits.

The Cragmont Fleece Jacket runs big. If I’d gone with a small, while it would’ve been a better width for me, the sleeves would have been too short. This being said, I’m almost 6 feet tall with long arms.

Since the sleeve length on the medium fits me just right, I can see why sleeves would be “long” for the average-sized purchaser. It is very comfortable and soft with a relaxed fit. It’s a good layering piece: a sweater and shirt can easily be worn under it.

I chose the Bleached Sand-Hawthorne Khaki colour way and am stoked I have the newer style with the zip pocket on chest as opposed to the flap pocket. I’ve worn it quite a lot since purchasing and quite like it.

Please keep in mind since this is a fleece, it’s not rain proof nor is it solidly wind proof. I’d like to purchase the black one in the future.

I love this warm and fluffy fleece jacket. It’s a very great style for layering. Love Love Love the color. Only cons, it’s a little short. Would of love to have it longer, like an extra inch or two (but it’s not so short that you shouldnt get it).

I’ve been looking for a fleece shirt for a while now and this one is definetly a greater quality when you compare to other similar style. I love oversize sweater, so I took and XL (I usually wear Medium or Large in other brand, but I find The North Face is always a little tighter).

Overall, I love it.

I ended up returning this in store. The seams on the sleeves did not match up with the seams on the shoulders. I think it must have been a purposeful design decision (which obviously I don’t understand because It made it look like sleeves from a larger size had been accidentally sewn on a smaller sized body piece).

Overall I like the material and ended up exchanging for a fleece of the same material that had the typical sleeve design I was expecting. I am honestly curious what the thinking was with the sleeve design on this piece, but maybe it just looked weird on me because I couldn’t tell from the photos on the model.

I really like the Karen Scott products and some styles are hard to find. This jacket is sporty enough to wear with jeans or dress up with slacks. Nicely made and as always Karen Scott products are true to size.

This jacket is so comfortable. It is light weight. Pockets big and love the inside pockets. It is perfect.

Received in good time, just as described. The jacket fits well and the color is terrific. Will be taking this on an Alaskan cruise and haven’t used it yet (in Texas in July) but I think this will serve me well.

The fleece is soft, good color and price. Good start to a trip.

I loved this hoodie and the full zip version! I bought several different colors and even doubles for when one goes the wash. I was thinking that this was going to be my go-to favorite hoodie and was looking forward to new colors, but I can no longer do so.

They got rid of two design features that set this one apart–raglan sleeves (the diagonal seam instead of vertical where the sleeve meets the main body) and longer sleeves with the built-in thumb hole.

I see they kept the price the same with a worse design with less features! Fantastic. What were the designers thinking? If they change it back in the next season, I will update my review, but doubt they will take customer suggestions seriously.

I bought this item online because they don’t carry it in-store near me. I feel in ,love with the purple color I think they call it blackberry. When I received it I was a little bummed. I thought it was a regular fit and ordered my regular size small.

If you are busty the slim fit small in this item will not work. I had to sadly return it. Luckily they have medium online and I will order that one. They did not specify on the description if it is slim fit or regular fit which is a bummer.

They need to because there is a big difference between the two sizes. The product itself is great quality! The color is vibrant and the sweater is fleece and very warm. The zipper is so cute and unexpected, you can zip it up if you are cold or zip down a little if it gets too hot.

It’s unique for sure. I would recommend this item just size up if you are top heavy. The slim fit for North Face really is slim!.

I was really looking forward to getting this North Face jacket. It was a rocket ship, so it came quickly. Excitedly opening it, I discovered it was completely the wrong one. Wrong style, wrong size, wrong colored lettering.

I was so disappointed. And of course, being a rocket ship, by the time I called, the one I wanted was sold out. The lady I talked to on the phone was very sweet and apologetic and I was refunded my money.

I was also allowed to keep the wrong one, which I was happy I didn’t have to ship back. But the wrong one doesn’t do me much good since it is completely huge in size for anyone in my family and was only a quarter zip with a big pocket flap in the front.

Just disappointed, Zulily.
