20 Best Plus Size Maternity Jeans (2022 Updated)

I was initially skeptical that these jeans would be keepers, but boy was I wrong. Transitioning from skinny jeans to the baggy style was a challenge, but these were a dream. Not only are they stylish without making me look like I’m swimming in denim, but the fit at the waist is perfect.

Sometimes high-rise jeans can give me jelly rolls and I’m a thin person. Not these! A fit that buttons without squeezing, allows me to bend without pulling in the crotch, and doesn’t give me diaper butt.

These jeans are versatile enough to dress up or down, and comfy enough to wear all day long. Definite keepers!.

These are 100% cotton, there is no polyester. Both the Paige website and Nordstrom’s says poly but. I can assure you it’s not – tag 100% says 100% cotton. I am a 5’4, 150 lbs, and took a size 29. I am consistently a 28 in Paige but these ran snug due to the all cotton.

Once I was able to get them past my hips, I was in and ready to rock the day! These are incredibly cute with a tennis shoe, flat, or block heel. They fit snug and after one wear have loosened comfortably in a few of the tightest tight places but not too loose where I already don’t want to wear them or that they bag.

Got tons of compliments – they have a very competitive look to the popular Abercrombie 90’s Ultra High Rise without the ULTRA high part. Very happy with these!.

These jeans were almost perfect but I sized down because the site noted they run large when I should’ve stuck with my initial estimate. I wish sizing across styles would be more accurate because I’m a 25 in one pair of Paige pants but couldn’t comfortably wear the 26 in these.

The size chart is also not accurate, so it makes it difficult to select the right size. Also beware the color on the website is over saturated; these were less blue than shown if that’s why you’re getting them.

Otherwise, the fabric was soft and weighty and I liked the cut.

I Absolutely love the way these jeans fit and look. Not to mention how comfortable they are standing and sitting. I was 14 weeks when I purchased the medium and now at 22 weeks I finally started to fill out the belly area more.

I don’t anticipate needing to buy another pair in large, through the next trimester but if I need to, I will be purchasing these exact pair in a size up, in the same dark wash color. The length was also perfect in the medium, I am tall and have long legs so this was a definite concern when I ordered them.

Much to my delight and relief, they were plenty long in the length of the leg for my 5’6” self.

Super comfortable! Just the right amount of stretch in the fabric not too thin or too heavy denim material. They are a bit long for a short girl. The length would make a long legged lady very happy! They are more of a straight leg than a skinny.

The cut and style really made my backend look way better than I expected (yay!!) Theses are pretty great jeans! I’d buy a pair if I were you! At 7 months and 132lbs I got the xs size and there’s plenty of stretch left to grow into.

They looked and felt almost like real jeans. I don’t wear leggings, jeggings, or other tight pants when not pregnant, so finding something like that while pregnant has become the Holy Grail. These jeans fit, but they didn’t come up over my butt.

They were too short on the jeans part. I don’t need the stretchy material on the back anyways. It felt like the pants were falling off, so I sent them back. Very sad as they came the closest to real jeans.

I’m loving these maternity jeans, thank you Torrid! The only other pair I’ve bought were some generic Walmart ones, size 2x & they don’t fit good at all. These are so comfy, and the elastic maternity material is really heavy duty feeling.

It doesn’t roll down, at least not yet. I’m 22 weeks, so still have lots of room to grow into them. Love these a lot & will likely get another pair. sn: I’m surprised Torrid doesn’t have more maternity options & absolutely nothing in stores, which is a bummer.

An associate told me to size up when I asked… I was shocked at her answer, that’s not really how maternity clothing works… :-P.

I am so happy torrid finally came out with maternity jeans! These are the first jeans I have bought since being pregnant that actually fit me. I am 22 weeks pregnant and these fit perfect now and also have room to grow/stretch in the belly.

True to size, I wore a size 20 in torrid jeans pre-pregnancy and a 20 in these jeans fits perfect. My only wish on these jeans is that they would come in the extra tall inseam as the tall is just a little bit shorter than I would prefer.

But I can make it work given how comfortable these are.

I got this since no other store makes plus size maternity jeans. I love torrid but something about jeans never fit right on me. I’m a 22 in jeans but waist a 22 my thighs are big but I do have a pooch from 3 kids and now my 4th.

The jeans from the front is too tall, what I’m saying is all jeans for me don’t fit right because there for more love in the belly then what I have so the maternity part start way above my bellybutton.

And because there mot Jean jeans they slid down on me. If you never have this problem with there jeans then they will be perfect.

I have been on the hunt for maternity clothes. As we know plus size maternity is hard to come by if you refuse to look like you are wearing a tent! I was so happy to see Torrid was starting l carry Maternity items and immediately purchased these jeans.

The belly panel is SO soft but sturdy! I didn’t find myself having to pull the jeans or panel up when wearing them. Definitely plan to grab another pair (or 2) when the cooler months hit!.

FINALLY!!! A plus size maternity jean that fits! I have an apron stomach so I thought I should size down. Good thing I did, they fit great. I’m 5’4” with a long torso and short legs so I got the short inseam and it’s great.

The band over stomach is thicker than non plus sized jeans and honestly I’m here for it. I feel much more covered and protected. I will be buying another pair as well.

Giving 4/5 because the baggy front of the crotch has too much fabric. I am a size 4 and tried on both the 2, and 4. Initially like my jeans slim in the thigh so the 2s were great but the band was way too tight.

(I’m 15 weeks) went with my reg size 4, lot better. I wore them all day at work and the band is really irritating is my only dock. idk if it’s because my lower back already hurts and even the slightest pressure sets it off? But I like how the front covers the entire belly.

the back just is shallow and kinda takes time to get used to it I suppose!! Overall the Jean is super cute color and wear. The band is irritating. I’m living with it! Maternity jeans are hard to come by.

loved these a lot – I was 16 weeks when I got them, and I hadn’t gained any weight at that point but regular jeans were still uncomfortable around my tummy. unfortunately, once I hit that 17th week, I was consistently gaining 2 lbs a week LOL.

now i’m 20 weeks and these are starting to get uncomfortable around my belly which popped overnight, it seems. I’m sad they didn’t last very long, but will move on to the full panel 🙂 I did size down in these – I’m regularly a 16, pearish shaped with a foopa left from my previous pregnancy haha, and I went down to a 14 – they fit perfectly.

Even though they’re getting tight in the waist for me now, I don’t know if i’d size up bc they fit perfectly in the butt and legs. I’m shorter – 5’3”, and I did have to cuff the ankles.

Recommend these. I wanted a straight jean maternity option and these are it but didn’t want to pay big Abercrombie bucks. TTS (pre preggo size). Remind me of another pair of non maternity straight jeans I also got from Target.

Haven’t worn them just yet as it’s still hot outside so hoping they don’t stretch too much with wear. But I feel like with the straight jean style you can get away with a looser vibe. I’m under 5ft tall so did have to cut them myself which is to be expected.

Material ist sehr stretchig und leiert etwas beim Tragen aus. Das Bauchbündchen ist eher aus festem Stoff. Hose riecht leider sehr chemisch. Auch nach dem Waschen noch. Aber preislich dafür ok.

Einziges Manko: die Nähte wo das Bauchband am Jeansstoff vernäht ist reißen recht schnell. Wenn man die Hose hochzieht muss man sie umbedingt am Bündchen ddr Jeans ziehen und nicht am Bauchband.

Je mets habituellement un 38 (avec une morphologie à tendance taille fine et un peu plus de cuisses) et là j’ai dû prendre un 40 qui est presque juste au niveau des jambes (alors que je porte encore certains de mes pantalons classiques).

Si vous faites de la rétention d’eau ou que vous êtes en fin de grossesse ce jean risque d’être juste car peu élastique. Mais il est vraiment très joli porté.

Seul bémol : il est un peu serré aux jambes, ce qui fatigue quand on le porte toute une journée (mais j’ai les jambes fortes, en particulier les mollets).

These jeans make me feel like a cool mom or almost mom. I’m in my second trimester, pregnant with my first, and these are very comfortable to wear already. I fold down the band because that part is still quite big on me.

The only part that was disappointing, I feel like these run a tad bit big. I bought my pre-pregnancy size but could’ve done with one size down, unfortunately by the time I got the jeans and went to see if I could exchange them, the size I wanted was sold out.

I can still wear them but they tend to slide down which is annoying. I’m hoping as my belly gets bigger they will fit better.

I have hips so I made sure to double check my measurements and ended up going with a 32. When I got them in they were huggggeee. So I sized down, those were still lose, so I sized down again! And they are perfect! The material of the Jean is stretchy so you really can get away with sizing down if you feel comfortable to.

My body has changed so much with my first pregnancy I could go off of my pre pregnancy size. First pic was the first pair I got it that were way to big (see around waist) second pic is the size I kept! I’m 5’1.

152lbs. 20 weeks pregnant. Size 30 jeans.

Much lighter in person. Also wish on the waist, the denim wasn’t cut off so far down the fly. I wish the denim fabric came up a little higher. The way it is makes it only really able to be worn with long tops.

The inseam was also longer than I hoped.

I feel so comfortable wearing this jeans. Great quality!

They’re super comfy! I could wear them all day. I have long legs and while the leggings are short on me and go above my ankle, these jeans fit at the ankle. I would honestly prefer them a little longer or available in a tall size, but otherwise they are perfect.

The quality is really great, I can tell these pants will last.

I bought these in both black and indigo and liked them so much that I went back for another pair of each. It’s my first pregnancy, getting close to 3rd trimester now, and I had given up on maternity jeans til I found these.

They fit well and are comfortable and flattering. The elastic is a good quality so they don’t slide down. They seem to wash well, though the only negative I’ve found is that the black ones do fade a bit after washing.

Would love for them to stay a more true black, especially since I bought them to wear to work.

This is my second pregnancy, I HATED maternity jeans the first time. They were so uncomfortable, they dug in at some spots but sagged in others. I wish I found these last time! These jeans are so comfortable with soft fabric and best of all, they are flattering.

Cute but a bit snug! The jeans look exactly like the picture so that’s always a bonus. However the actual jean itself has little to no stretch, so there’s not much flexibility which is kind of a no-no for an ever changing pregnant body.

I’m 6 months pregnant (with 3rd child) and these size L fit me perfectly at the moment, but probably won’t in a month. I’m weighing about 64kg now, hips 103cm, and height about 160cm. So if you want them to last a little longer, I’d size up twice, not just once like I did!.

Awesome quality. Material is expansible, confortable. Finish detail are very good. Size is perfect for 1. 70m 58kg before pregnancy, now 62kg. Skinny to the leg and ass, wide to the belly. Very fashio and confortable Will go up to 70kg with big belly i think.

I got the lighter wash and they look good and fit well. But unfortunately the inner thighs started pilling on the first wear. I washed before wearing, delicate cycle and air dry like I do for all my denim.

Hatch said pilling shouldn’t happen, but also tried to say the pilling in the pics and video they asked me to send looked minimal. It’s not minimal, it happened on the first wear, and they just shouldn’t pill at all—none of my other jeans have done this, maternity or regular.

They also said they haven’t heard of this issue, but there’s another review about the jeans wearing through in two months. Customer service has been frustrating—they’re saying they won’t refund because the jeans have been worn, and are offering a “one-time exception” for replacement or store credit, as if this is somehow my fault but they’re still willing to help me.

Hatch should stand by their products and refund defective merchandise. I would avoid these jeans if your thighs have ever even brushed against each other. And based on the customer service (read the Yelp reviews, I wish I did), I would avoid Hatch.

I placed an order for the maternity boyfriend jeans I tried them on and they seem to fit okay, I wore them for about an hour around the house to see how they would wear and they got so loose that they’re falling off my my body.

I paid over $200 for these jeans because I heard great things. I just talked to someone on your customer service team and they will not allow me to return or exchange these jeans. This is crazy I paid a lot of money for these jeans and I only wore them for an hour and the jeans did not wear great.

I just wanted to exchange them for a smaller size. I still have the tags and she won’t let me return them. I’ll be sure not to recommend this company because the return policy is ridiculous.

At 17 weeks – True to size for me. I ordered 28 & 29, even though I wore a 27 prior to maternity. ended up exchanging for a 27 after all. wondering if I will wish I had the 28 when I’m later in term, but for now, just felt like it kept sagging & falling down when walking around.

Denim material is very nice quality – just the right weight & does stretch a little with wear, so 27 became most comfortable after a few hours in it & molded to my body nicely (much like my normal jeans).

Feels extremely flattering & very comfy now. Personally not a fan of distressed look in general, but really liked the lighter wash & fit.

These are wonderful!! I’m not even pregnant, but ever since my children were born ten years ago I’ve had a belly. I’m definitely going to be ordering more. These are true to size, super comfortable, and flattering when standing, sitting, etc.

If you go down a size these are extra flattering. I would like to see a version of these same pants in a bootcut version (without the extra flare). Also, try not to pull upward on the maternity band above the pockets because the seams aren’t completely secure on one side.

Walmart-these are gold-these would do great if you market these in your plus size section as well! High quality and I would recommend ordering two pairs: your regular size and one size down (for those times when you want to be comfortable or a tighter fit).

These maternity jeans are so cute and feel like such great quality at first glance. The denim is soft and stretchy, as you want for all maternity clothes. The buttons are cute and make these jeans look hip and less like maternity clothes.

Trying the jeans on, they felt a little snug, but overall great. I thought maybe I could size up so I’d be able to wear them a little longer with my growing belly. Took the jeans off, and to my surprise, the elastic inserts were totally destroyed! It looked like an elephant had been wearing the jeans.

It was shocking considering they were only slightly snug. How could someone past 3 months pregnancy even hope to wear these with such cheap elastic?? Very disappointing as the jeans are absolutely amazing in all other aspects.

The elastic is so damaged just from trying on, that I don’t think I’ll even be able to wear them out. I’ve never experienced this with any other elastic band maternity jeans, or really any type of clothing.

I was a little skeptical about ordering these jeans by Sofia Vergara at first, but after wearing them and seeing myself in them I am glad that I did. These are very flattering for any body type, and the reason I know is because it hides my pudge and love handles/muffin top and I don’t own another pair of jeans or shorts that can accomplish that, so indeed I was wowed by this factor.

Also you DONT have to be pregnant to wear these in my opinion because I am not, nor do I have any plans of becoming pregnant in the future. These jeans are perfect for anyone who is on a weight loss journey and at that transitioning sizes stage where you are almost in your snug skinny jeans again but still have just a little ways to go for them to look like they fit easily and not wrestled/tugged on! The distress detail is placed well, and adds to the overall quality of these jeans.

One last thing I wanted to mention was the price for these jeans are EXTREMELY REASONABLE and affordable to most any budget. They are even below the average price of most on the market today!!! ($32.

I purchased these jeans for my daughter to wear during her pregnancy. She is a professional, but they can wear jeans every Friday as long as they look professional and fit well. These jeans fit the bill! She wears a size 4 pair of jeans pre-pregnancy.

Therefore, I used the size chart and ordered her regular size 4 (27), and they fit perfectly. She was skeptical about wearing jeans and wasn’t sure they would be comfortable. After she had worn them several times, she commented that they are super comfortable, soft, and feel like leggings! They look great on her!! We ordered a second pair to rotate them throughout her pregnancy for jeans Fridays and weekends! For another buyer’s reference, my daughter is 5″3″, athletic, and has a curvy hourglass shape.

I purchased a few pairs of jeans while pregnant and these are the only ones I wore more than once. These became my staple pants. They are comfortable and form fitting. My belly was covered and comfortable.

The pants did not slip down like other maternity jeans. I purchased them at about 3 months in and was able to wear them throughout with no issue. I even wore then in the first couple months postpartum.

I normally wear a size 6 and the size 6 fit like a glove despite pregnancy weight.

Love these pants. I noticed some reviews about smell and mine didn’t seem to be very bad. A slight odor but not exactly unpleasant and went away with first wash. Otherwise the fit is great and these are insanely comfortable.

The band goes up and over your belly but it’s super soft. The band, in my opinion, does not provide much support but for me it’s a nice change in rotation with some other options I own so I feel like I can breathe for the day.

Highly recommend.

Bought these at 15 weeks as everything else was uncomfortable. They were a little big at first but now (at 21 weeks) fit perfectly. Not sure if they’re going to last through my whole pregnancy because the band already seems snug but they’ve been great for that awkward in-between stage.

I’m usually a size 6 before pregnancy and wished that I’d bought an XS – I found the S became baggy after a couple of hours of wearing them and needed to be tumble dried to keep them skinny. I’m also 5”3 and these jeans are very long so had to roll them up.

Would love to see them made in petit sizes.

The jeans themselves fit fine in the leg and bum but the bump panel is faaaar to tight. I’m only in my first trimester (of third pregnancy) but already find the bump panel unbearably tight. I’ve worn them twice, I may wear them once or twice more if I’m only going out for a bit, because I’d have to take them off after a few hours as they get far too uncomfortable.

It’s annoying because in order to get the bump panel to be big enough I’d presumably have to go up two sizes, so the jeans would them be way too loose everywhere else. The panel is simply not made with a stretchy enough fabric.

I got those jeans in black (although I would say it’s more washed black) and the cream colour. I love the shape of those jeans. I am usually a size S but bought size M to be more comfortable and it’s not too baggy at all, just the right amount of skinny but comfortable.

I think the S would have been too tight. They are also very soft. The leg arrives just at the ankle, which is perfect for me (for ref. I am 5’3). Not a great fan of the cuts on the leg and at the ankle but it’s not bothering me too much and since they are the only comfortable skinny jean in dark grey/black I have tried (I have tried many!), and for the price, I have decided to keep them.

Overall I’d say they aren’t bad. The material is a bit stiff but you expect that from new jeans. The thing for me is the fit- it’s not great. First it makes the bum flatter (ok maybe when I wear them more they will shape up right) but another thing is in pregnancy your hips are wider even if you’re size 4 prior so I wish they accounted for that.

I’d I’d get 6 it would be to big for me as is in most cases… Also the bump part while stretchy it’s not stretchy and roomy enough for the third trimester. I think second is where your best aim is. Since it was final sale I’m saving them to wear after delivery before my midsection shrinks back to regular size.

I’m 5’3 prepregnancy 125 lbs. Usually wear a size small. Currently 152 lbs, 27 weeks, hanging low. I bought the US6 L30 (medium). And it’s perfect. I did return the US4 (small) Cuz it was too small. But that happened with 2 other pairs from different companies I ordered on this site so no judgment there.

These are great and I now wear them 2-3 times a week because I love them so much. I do agree that the waistband is a little tighter than some maternity pants but I appreciate the shape this creates (picture perfect bump, no lumps, which is important for a US size 14 like me) and I don’t have to pull it up constantly throughout the day.

Probably will hate them come the third trimester, but that’s really all pants in my experience as a STM.

Very disappointed with A PEa in the pod. I ordered these jeans in November in Two sizes, they never arrived. But I was still charged $300. These were supposed to be my splurge maternity jeans, instead I just got ripped off.

I’ve called and emailed and called and emailed and nobody will get back to me. Horrible customer service – beware before purchasing from here. Recommend Gap maternity jeans – better price point and responsive customer service.

Great pair of pants! I searched for 4 hours to find a pair of jeans that I thought would be long enough and didn’t have an overbump panel. These fit my posterior like pre-pregnancy jeans whereas the other jeans I’ve tried on have sagged in the back.

I’m only 4 months along, but expect these to fit the entire pregnancy.

These are a very classic pair of skinnys. They don’t look maternity and have great stretch (both in legs and side panels). Only flaw is in the stitching of side panels, it’s bulky and doesn’t lay flat.

To me it was irritating and itchy after long day in the jeans.

I love these maternity jeans and they are perfect for summer! Crisp white material but not see-through! I’m 22 weeks currently, and I think they will fit me throughout my pregnancy. I am normally an 8-10 in jeans and purchased these in a 10.

The adjustable belly band is so helpful and keeps them from rolling down. I also appreciate that the belly panel is thin material—it doesn’t feel too hot! Because I am only 5’1, I did have to get them hemmed a few inches.

I’ve been looking for reasonably priced, comfortable, high-quality maternity jeans since finding out I was pregnant, and these hit the mark. The denim is crazy soft and has just the right amount of stretch.

Also, I find that they stay up when wearing throughout the day, and are NOT see through. I ordered my normal pre-maternity size, and found the fit to be an exact match, especially since they’re so stretchy.

If you are on the fence about these, get them!.

First let me say these maternity jeans are super comfortable! The full belly band at the top helps keep them up without having to tug on them. I bought my pre-preg equivalent size (8) and they fit true to size.

Material is very soft and stretchy. The downside, the “ankle” length style is very off putting and not accurate – way too short. Maybe it’s an ankle length if you are petite to begin with. I am 5’9 and these are nearly capris on me.

They look a little rediculous. I would return but already cut the tags and would be a hassle. So instead I’ll keep and just wear around the house or cover with tall boots for the winter.
