20 Best Plus Size Maternity Leggings (2022 Updated)

I enjoy wearing stretchy capri length athletic tights in the Summer, so I purchased these because they are similar to my non-maternity clothing. I went with Medium instead of Small. I’m normally about a size 6, but I don’t like my leggings to be compression/skin tight, that isn’t as comfortable for me.

Pros: Great seaming detail on the legs! Nice space dye pattern! Fabric holds up great! Cons: Not quite as breathable as my regular non-maternity tights, feels a lil plasticy. *No pockets. * I would really like a keys or cell phone pocket on these – it would make life easier!.

I can’t figure out why these have such high ratings and reviews; they are terrible. For “active” leggings, must have been designed by someone who doesn’t actually work out in leggings. The material is cheap and sags and bunches with activity.

There is a huge, itchy tag in the back, and there is no crotch gusset at all (which is pretty important in a garment designed for activity). As soon as they arrived and I tried them on, I knew they were awful, but I live in Alaska and shipping a return wouldn’t be worth it since I got them for a pretty cheap price in the order.

Take my advice and go for Target’s maternity leggings instead!.

Very very comfortable maternity pants. They do run a bit big, but that’s ok because I’m only 11 weeks right now. I reordered them in medium (they haven’t come in yet), and I’m hoping that they will fit more snug like my other active capris.

The belly band is not too tight, but stays up. The pants are a little thin, but not see through. They are perfect for lounging, going for a walk, or running errands. I’m 5’0, 155lbs (wide hips) for reference.

As someone who practically lives in Torrid leggings, I was so excited to find these in a bigger size on clearance. I had previously had Torrid leggings for a past pregnancy and loved them, but I don’t know what they’ve done to them since, because these cannot be the same pants.

I am always between sizes in leggings so I got the bigger size and they STILL are so see through and have zero stretch in the legs. The belly part is fine, it would definitely fit through the rest of this pregnancy, but that’s about the only positive I can give.

Even more disappointing because I just bought three pair of the maternity biker shorts with my Torrid cash, hopefully getting them in another size up will make them wearable. Torrid, you can do so much better than this.

I had very high hopes for these leggings given the rave reviews, please don’t waste your money. These are completely see through, very cheap thin cotton material, no support AT ALL like stated in the description.

These are exactly the same as their regular leggings(which I also hate) just double the price and with a maternity waist. Worst maternity leggings I’ve ever bought, I’m so mad I bought 2 pairs. I wish I could return both but ripped the tags off one.

Before I even put them on I could tell they’d be see through when you put your hand inside, so not a size issue. TORRID NO ONE WANTS LEGGINGS LIKE THIS. Pricey thin see my whole butt leggings, I’m so mad!.

These leggings were my go to while pregnant! LOVED them as they are very comfortable, simple black, felt nice to the touch, didn’t make me hot, and had great length inseam and tummy part wise. They are just basic cotton leggings though that I feel I would have gotten better quality from torrid, specially with the price.

The rouched tummy maternity panel was put on very strange. Like a seen at the bikini line and then up on both sides. they are not thick and do t have much stretch and are the same as the shorts. I did love them though!.

I love these leggings! They are so soft, yet compressive and actually stay up with no sag in the crotch area. they fit just right all around. I am 22 wks right now, normally a size 27 jean (5’3” and 125 lbs).

I probably could have swung a size small but am happy with the medium – I followed the size chart recommendations and everything was TTS!.

All I can say about these leggings are wow!! Hands down the best maternity leggings ever! They stay up all throughout my workout, I don’t have to adjust them, and they aren’t see through. I was hesitant on buying these leggings because all the other pairs I’ve bought (not from here) but from other places aren’t the best.

They don’t stay up even if I’m not doing a workout. These ones are so extremely comfortable and I love them so much that I bought 2 pairs! I’m 25 weeks pregnant and I still have room to grow in them.

Love these leggings. My belly is not huge yet but I can tell they will be great throughout my pregnancy. Quality of these are great. I usually wear Lululemon, and these are comparable!

At around 10 weeks my pre-pregnancy leggings still fit, but were getting uncomfortable when I’d sit too long or wear them all day. When you’re already bloated and feeling all kinds of extra uncomfortableness in the tummy, it’s an extra bummer to have to think so hard about what to wear.

I was worried that I wouldn’t find maternity leggings that would fit well this early AND had the potential to work into the actual-bump phase of my pregnancy, but then the stars aligned and universe revealed Love the Bump Maternity Leggings (with pockets!!!).

I’m now at 12 weeks, I’ve had my new leggings for a week, and I could hardly wait to write this review to share how much I love them. They fit with just the right amount of support, but also feel stretchy and freeing like the best sweat pants.

Probably the most magical thing about them is I REALLY don’t feel any of the seams around by belly at all. I’m a high-rise legging person through and through (even without pregnancy) but I can usually still feel a separation between the under the belly vs above the belly areas — not in these, and it brings me more happiness than I knew a pair of leggings could give! I’m 5″7′, 155ibs and I ordered a M (I’m S-M pre-pregnancy, but went with the upper end in in these leggings for a comfier fit).

I bought these in the postpartum stage as a switch over from the amazing maternity leggings. I have bought and worn many, many brands of leggings in my life and I wish I’d found these sooner, because they knock every other brand out of the park! These are so stretchy, soft and comfortable and perfect for working from home, running errands, working out, wearing to bed- let’s be real- I never take these off! I love the crossover front of this particular style.

My favorite part is that you can wash and dry these over and over and over and they somehow still look great, unlike other brands that pill and fade. They are absolutely worth the price tag for this reason alone! My one and only complaint is that the color chai has been a little awkward for me as several people have made comments that they “thought I wasn’t wearing pants” at first glance.

However I absolutely love the other colors!.

These are my favorite leggings I have ever owned. They are so stretchy while still feeling snug and made of a good material. The waist fits perfectly where it forms to your body without squeezing or being too loose and falling down.

I don’t know if this is TMI but I always find putting leggings on right when I get out of the shower to be really uncomfortable because skin tight clothes on a damp body sticks and is annoying, BUT these are just so soft that they slide right on.

Seriously. obsessed. I am going to get them in every color. I have tried leggings from patagonia, alo, lulu lemon, and outdoor voices and these by FAR are my favorite. I mostly use them for yoga, light work outs, and leisure.

Prob wouldn’t use them for a high intensity workout or running but for everything else, GET THESE.

I really like these pants except for the back. The material is a little thin and I notice wrinkling under the butt/upper thigh area. I wish there were pockets in the back or maybe the motto texture from front on the back to distract from the wrinkles.

I like to wear these pants with a long cardigan that hides the slight bunching/wrinkling. Other than that, these fit true to pre-pregnancy size and are very comfortable!.

Purchased late in my second trimester, currently in third. However, I have the black faux leather Moto leggings which fit perfectly. These fit way too snug and can’t wear them. Contacted the company and they mentioned the faux leggings run smaller than the other leggings.

Yet I have a pair in a different color, so perhaps these were a fluke? Dunno. I missed the timeframe to return due to a move, but I will try to resell on a selling app.

These leggings are amazing. I bought them when I was in my first trimester, and am now in my 3rd. I have gained about 45lbs overall, and they have fit me the entire time. I’m so glad I got these, and will buy them again in more colors for future pregnancies.

I love the belly band and the support it gives – and the fact that they don’t roll down, at all! I am 5ft and they’re a pretty perfect length on me… slightly long, but not by much. Very glad I got them!.

I didn’t need maternity workout clothes my first pregnancy but this second pregnancy I definitely did and somewhat early on. I looked at these BP maternity leggings for quite some time and finally but the bullet and ordered a black pair and navy pair.

Wish I would have done it sooner! They are the most comfortable things ever! Comfort, style, price, check! They do not roll down during high intensity workouts. They provide the perfect amount of compression.

I’ll be ordering the fog color soon also. Just wish there were more colors to order.

4 stars because I like thicker leggings and these were on the thin side for me. However, they are not so thin that they become see-through. The material is soft and the waistband sits perfectly at the top of my belly (still quite small at 15 weeks).

The material seems it will hold up well to washing and wearing frequently. I should be able to comfortably wear these through my pregnancy having sized up.

I’ve always been really picky with workout pants and typically find 1 pair to buy 4 of and use them until they die. I figured finding maternity workout pants would be even worse. I found these and they’re honestly great.

They dont move, they stay over my belly, and they’re incredibly comfortable. I’ll most likely be wearing these post partum too since they’re so comfy and fit so well. I’m usually a L but bought an XL because you never know with maternity sizing.

The XLs are a little too big but I figure I’ll enjoy the extra bit of room months 8 and 9.

I was so excited to get these, as at 15 weeks, my regular leggings are finally not cutting it! Unfortunately, the size recommended on the website was clearly off, because they just barely fit and I can tell that once they’re washed, they probably won’t.

The material is soft but way less stretchy than I expected. I expected more give, more comfy. But they were just an odd material for leggings in my opinion; like a non-stretchy cotton. I feel like they will shrink where most of my leggings wouldn’t.

Super bummed I’ll probably only get a couple of wears out of them. Wish I had tried on before tossing the tags and/or that I had the energy to return.

I ordered these leggings at 13 weeks when my tummy is starting to pop. My regular pants/leggings are too snug but I don’t quite fill out proper maternity pants. I’m obsessed. The fabric is buttery soft and they fit my growing tummy so comfortably.

They are the perfect leggings for my growing body and I don’t think I’ll ever take them off. I love that they fit me now and I have room to grow with them. I ordered my normal, pre-pregnancy size and they fit perfectly.

These are the softest yet supportive leggings ever and I just checked back to see if they make other colors. Make more colors! So happy I grabbed these on sale but they are worth full price unlike many maternity leggings.

These are not see thru, hit right at my ankle, I’m 5’5 and a lot of full length bottoms are too long on me. They’re flattering too, legs & but look nice, gives some definition to your bottom. Buy them.

I’m in my second trimester, typically a 6, wearing mostly 8s now and the medium fits perfectly.

These leggings saved me towards the end of my pregnancy—they felt really supportive and I loved that they didn’t sag in the crotch or ride down even after I wore them all day. They were great for traveling, especially in my last trimester.

I’ve worn them a ton since I delivered too, since you can roll the waist down and the extra bump space kind of disappears. It was great to only have to buy one pair of leggings to wear during and after pregnancy! I’ve washed them several times (in a lingerie bag) and they don’t pill or show any wear.

And the fabric is really high quality! Would def buy again and recommend to all my mama friends.

These fit great, feel great, but are very thin! Definitely not leggings I would feel comfortable wearing in public; they are more suited to lounging around the house and the yard. The bump area of the leggings is wonderfully made and does not squish the baby at all! I just wish I would have read more reviews before buying to get an idea of the thickness.

For the price I was expecting these leggings to be great, and they are! They are super nice material and very black, no underwear lines or see through butt. I did notice the same problem other reviewers had which is the crotch is very low and sometimes uncomfortable.

When I tried them on for the first time I thought I’d have to return them because they required constant adjusting. But after washing and wearing them one time I haven’t noticed the same problem again.

I’m 5’8 and 22 weeks pregnant and heavier in the butt and thighs and the size large fits perfectly with plenty of elastic in the belly for growth.

I have been struggling to find maternity leggings that don’t constrict my growing bump, don’t stretch out, and are comfy. These are absolutely perfect in every way. The cotton is breathable and the waistband covers my early pregnancy bump without being too tight or falling down.

For sizing reference, I’m currently starting my second trimester and I’m 160 pounds and I purchased an XL. Length was great on my 5’5” frame. If you are on the fence, just try them. You won’t be disappointed!.

These are nice, basic, quality maternity leggings for a good price. Because they’re mostly cotton, which I wanted, they do initially bag out slightly, but over time they hold their shape well. I’m between XS and S and I went with S for comfort.

For me they’re a little roomy all over, especially from the knees down, so I just wear them around the house, but I’m really happy to have them. At 14 weeks they completely cover my bump and hit at the ankle.

Material is like a midweight T shirt. 5’0” 128lbs 34b 30” waist 37” hip pre-pregnancy.

My favorite go to leggings are the J. Crew Factory everyday leggings so when I saw that they had come out with a maternity version I ran for the checkout! Maternity leggings can be super hit or miss but these are everything I wanted and more.

They fit just like the everyday leggings but with a slightly larger front panel to come up over the belly (which doesn’t roll down!); it’s not a full belly panel and only just comes above my belly button but that fit suits me well and keeps me cool.

The quality of the legging is thick (even the belly panel) just like the everyday legging so as not to be see through, and they also keep their shape very well. I ordered my normal everyday leggings size L which fit true to size and also got 1 pair of XL for the tail end of my pregnancy to have some extra room.

I’ve never owned a pair of beyond yoga but after raving reviews and seeing it on many women at the studio, I decided to give it a try. The material is even better than what everyone have been taking about.

It felt so freaking soft and amazing to the touch. It was no regular off the shelf generic leggings. I was excited. I quickly slip right into my own first pair of beyond yoga. The material was great but the fit fell short.

I quickly notice the pants didn’t quite hug my body like it did on other women I’ve seen in before. I am on the average size with a much bigger bottom half and below average height. The pant was long, sat odd on the hip and showed off the toe in the front like no tomorrow (very embarrassing).

I was very disappointed because I’ve never felt a material like this in the past, but unfortunately cannot overlook just how the fit was not quite there. Hope one day there can be a fit for bottom heavy short ladies like myself one day.

LOVE these leggings so much. They are super soft, comfortable and hug you in all the right places as long as you get the right size. I personally like them better than the Lulu Aligns because they’re thicker and offer more compression.

These are great for low intensity workouts – I wear them to barre and they’re perfect. I haven’t tried them with running yet. I’m going to give my sizing experience rundown cause I went through like 100+ reviews and went by the size chart but still got the wrong size.

I’m 5’5″, 135 lbs, waist is 29″ and hips are 36. 5″. According to the size chart, I’m a small, but I found that after the first hour I was constantly having to pull them up throughout the day. I ended up trying an XS and they fit much better, stay put and offer the right amount of compression.

Customer service is phenomenal and let me exchange the size small (tags already taken off) for a new pair that fit me better. Highly recommend these! I have like 4 pairs and already want more.

These are the best leggings! I wear them while pregnant and postpartum. Especially perfect for the first trimester/ early second when you need a little extra room but still something form-fitting to stay up on your belly.

I wear these in a Large, size 14 when not pregnant. (As a size comparison, I wear the maternity leggings in a size XL that are almost the same minus the rounded belly high waist section, they are just tighter than the maternity version.

I prefer to wear the maternity version – less tight – than the regular ones when I am not pregnant).

I bought these and they were perfect! They’re a great workout material that you would expect. Legs fit really well, and belly has room to grow in. I’m currently 21 weeks, and the belly is a little loose on the very top, but was not an issue when I went for a run today.

There is not a band on the top (which I have seen in reviews of other maternity leggings) so these should be great to workout in for the rest of my pregnancy! I originally bought the maternity compression leggings, and was disappointed because they were more cotton feeling than I was expecting.

I am 18 weeks pregnant and I teach indoor spin classes as well as attend other group fitness classes at my local gym. I am just starting to show and my pre pregnancy workout leggings just weren’t cutting it anymore.

These leggings are super soft and comfortable. Im typically a size 8 or Medium and ordered my usual size. I love that they have a high waist but not too much compression. I feel like they will stretch and still fit as my belly grows.

My only complaint is that the lighter colors are a little see through so you may want to wear a longer shirt to cover your behind.

I bought two other pair of maternity pants that had the same name as these, so I thought they would be the same. The first two that I bought were SO soft, very stretchy – including the seam. Everything about it was forgiving and comfortable.

These on the other hand. I bought the same exact size and they are so tight, the seams don’t stretch at all, I could barely even get them on. Idk what the problem is. I was very sad because I was hoping for something other than black that isn’t a gaudy pattern.

For reference, I am currently in my second trimester. 5’9″, I have a significant bump but I’m not huge yet. I bought a medium in the first two and they fit very well. The medium in these did not fit well.

I got them on but could barely move.

These are amazing maternity and post party leggings! I am living in them in my third trimester! They have stretched and stretched over the bump as it grows without the material changing at all. I have a long torso so the high rise fit is perfect, but I can see them being a little tall in the back for someone with a shorter torso.

It produces amazing support and they are buttery soft! Highly recommend.

These leggings are truly over the belly and have a wonderful stretch. I’m 7 months pregnant and I can honestly see these fitting until I’m full term. I did size up just to be safe but they fit with some space.

Only possible negative I can think of is, the legs aren’t long. I’m 5’3 there’s a little bit of material left around my ankles. So caution to the ladies with long legs, I would say 5’7 and up, they may fit short on you.

Very nice quality, nice shade of grey. Very soft. I am 27 weeks pregnant and starts to feel a little compressed on my tummy. Second pregnancy so my tummy feels big!

They are a tad tight on the tummy (perhaps beware if you have a big big bump!) but they are nice summery leggings to wear with something long (also a tad see through too!) I kept them, but can see why others might return! Worth the order to try on yourself.

I do not recommend these leggings at all. They fit small, they have no stretch, and the maternity band is basically the same as any other high waisted leggings – no extra material or stretch. I’m 5’2 and 140lbs pre-pregnancy.

I’m usually a size medium for bottoms, and that is what I ordered. They were tight to get over my hips but I can get them on. They are tight to move in and suffocating on my 17 week belly. There is absolutely no way these will work as maternity leggings.

They are tighter on my belly than my regular non-maternity leggings! Sitting is very painful because they squish my belly. So they are being returned. At 5’2, they are the perfect length. That’s the only good thing I can say about them.

I usually don’t write reviews, but these deserved a review. I work 10 hours a day in a warehouse and wear leggings when I’m not pregnant, well I wanted to continue to do that but couldn’t find any that came close to my Victoria’s Secret leggings, until I found these.

I am a size 12 not pregnant, so I went with a Large. These are extremely comfortable, stretchy, and quality made, comparable to my VS leggings. The full panel doesn’t ride down throughout the day and is slightly stretchier than the leg part.

I am in love with these leggings, and it’s nice they come in a variety of cute designs and colors. Oh, and I forgot to mention they are NOT see-through!! These are worth it in every way!.

I got these to replace my “athleisure”/athletic leggings I wore before pregnancy. These were just what I hoped for! They are definitely comfortable and I will get some more colors! I will say though, I read the reviews before purchasing and ordered a size up.

bad move for me. I normally wear M and got a L. The L came in and were way too baggy in my upper thigh area/lower crotch area. I returned for a M and they are now perfect. I did not need that room at all in my legs and I feel like they will be perfect in the tummy as I keep growing (there is plenty of stretch in the bump band!).

I would not recommend sizing up unless you anticipate gaining some cushion in your upper thigh area. I am only really gaining in my bump so that is why TTS was my best move. everyone’s bodies are different!.

I got these leggings a few days ago and I’ve worn them twice already! They’re comfy, don’t squish my belly like others do. I’m tall, at 5’10”, honestly I was soo afraid these would be short. Finding long leggings are a huge hassle for me, it’s nearly impossible.

But these leggings are super long! I ordered large/xl. They fit perfectly! My belly was supported and the fit is great over the thighs and legs. I just had a minor issue though. I wish there was more support at the buttocks.

There was none and I really like leggings that lift and morph around the curves. I’d love more support at the back, and tbh, while everywhere else was extremely comfortable, I am sad to say that it wasn’t comfy at the ass.

That’s the only critique I have. Otherwise, these are great leggings!!.

Love them. Living in them every day of the week. I think I need another pair. So far have held up great to washing (I wash in cold water and started hanging to dry, but eventually started putting them in the drier and they’re fine).

They’re not at all see-through, really great stretch, no slipping down. They are very subtly ribbed from the top of the thighs and up, which I assume is what gives them their ability to grow with you as your pregnancy progresses.

While this is definitely not a problem, it does mean they should have a tunic or long shirt over them. They’re not like a pair of pants – they are leggings, and I style them as such. As with all non-denim, black pants, they’re a bit of a magnet for cat hair, but that’s not PreggoLeggings’ problem ;).

I wanted to love these beautiful maternity leggings on top of support a minority owned business but. the inseam stitching is prominent. It caused a great deal of irritation just during the try on. The fit and the feel of the luxe material justified the cost but I knew, based on the few minutes I had them on, that the stitching in the crotch and inner thigh area would cause some major discomfort.

Sadly, I’m returning and can’t recommend this product.

I loved the look and fit of these pants – I’m nearing my 3rd trimester and needed some maternity pants since mine were getting too tight! I did like the full panel with the crossover in the back, it felt very comfortable, however the pants themselves had many scratchy seams.

I pretty much live in these kind of pants so I need them to be soft and smooth, I felt like I would be dying to take these off after an hour, which is a shame because they really are pretty. If you don’t have sensitive skin and seams don’t bother you then these are great.

If you’re like me and need that soft comfort, these are a total miss.

I wear leggings pregnant or not on most days. I’m now pregnant with my second and have learned about all new labels for maternity. I have maternity leggings but none of them fit and flatter like these do.

They also don’t slide down, which soooo many maternity leggings and pants do. And they are not just plain leggings, they have the moto details which makes them so stylish. You can dress them up or down.

Seriously, you can’t go wrong with these.

Perfect fit and excellent quality. This was my favorite Christmas gift and I’ve been wearing them daily ever since!

It’s a bit loose on the band but it’s better than being too tight. It might seem a bit baggy on the front. I’m 36 weeks now and I wore this in a different colour for a good number of weeks so I decided to get another one for comfort.

It does run a bit big, but Id rather big over it being too small.

So comfy! Definitely want to buy more in different colours. Please make it black and some other colours! Usually 10 in bottom pre-pregnancy, and S is perfect and roomy.

The material of these is amazing. They are soft and breathable. I actually ordered two sizes, thinking that some days I might like a more supportive fit. I find both sizes to be too loose in the legs (and I have muscular legs!), but the smaller size basically cuts off circulation in the belly (I won’t be able to wear it until postpartum; I’m 26 weeks), while the larger size offers gentle but firm support.

They’re also a little bit long for me, but this is a normal problem for me at 5’4, (whereas the baggy legs / tight belly issue isn’t usually, even with maternity wear). I still love the bigger ones–they look more casual than sleek due to wrinkles/extra leg space, but they feel luxurious.

I love this pattern and color! It somehow brings out my pregnant lady personality more. I started wearing at 16 weeks with just some bloating, and the legs fit great and the waist doesn’t slip. Now at 20 weeks I’m growing into them and can tell They’ll continue to grow comfortably with me! 5’8” 128lbs size XS.

Love the quality of the leggings but sizing feels a touch wonky. I am 179 lbs and 5’8” at the beginning of my second trimester, and I ordered a M. They fit, and the fold over belly part has room to grow, but they’re tight through the hips and below the waist.

I’d stick with a M if I weren’t about to grow, but I feel like with even a little puffiness I’ll need a L so I switched them. Size up!.
