never use the push in for terminating the wire use the side terminals been doing this for 30 plus years the plug connection when you push in comes loose over time can’t count how many service call I had to change out receptacle I wish csa would not allow this practice any more a fire waiting to happen lazy mans way of doing things trust me do it the right way and use the side terminals.

Works great. Replaced one in my house that was loose with this one. Cheap to buy.

Great price and product. Replaced 3 old outlets in house with these. They all work and have had no issues with them at all.

These are easy to install and fit in with my previous decor well. A nice update to my old outlets. The only thing I would change is next time I will add USB ports, but I just installed these in places where that wasn’t necessary.

These receptacle with safety shutters are a must have for any home with kids and pets. Before I used to be constantly worried that the kids would try and insert something that did not belong and cause harm.

I no longer need to feel like I have to put on protective plastic plugs. Super easy to install as well. I have replaced all receptacles with these. One less thing to worry about.

I got this receptacle yesterday and replaced an old beat up outlet with it. I love how sturdy and heavy duty it was compared to my older outlets. This had some good weight to it. I easily replaced my old and the plugs fit night and snug into it.

I will deffintly be buying more of. these as replacements for. my older outlets.

These receptacles will not meet current code because they are not TAMPER RESISTANT. If you are a home owner trying to update your home, please opt for the $20 (10-pack) TAMPER-RESISTANT, version of this product.

It will add about $3000 (per 2000 sq ft home) on to your resale value; give no fuss with home inspectors; looks cleaner; and gives the impression that the work was done by a professional. I am a Master Electrician.

First of all, my local Canadian tire did not have ANY “regular” outlets at all so I had to get the square model. Installed it, tested it and all was good. Within 2 weeks it died, I even wrap electrical tape around the out let to prevent any possible shorting out, it just died.

Had to go back to CTC and get another, only 2 left and reinstalled and so far it is working.

I bought this two weeks ago to replace an 12 year old Decora Receptacle that wasn’t holding plugs tight to the wall. This was simple enough to install following the instructions and holds plugs tight to the wall which is a lot safer.

And the tamper-resistant design is an excellent feature for an electrical outlet that is unobstructed by shelves, sofas, and tables.

I can’t believe this thing is approved. Width is a force fit in a standard single box. I’m not comfortable having only about 1/16” clearance between the side of the box and the wire screws. I tried the fit in a few boxes, including a new uninstalled box – same fit.

Disappointed.

This brown receptacle was impossible to find at Lowe’s, The Home Depot and two wholesale outlets. They carried white and black in this design, but no brown. Fortunately, we found the brown ones on eBay, and they are a perfect fit for our mahogany lined office.

The features on this plug are useful, but they do cost a little more than a conventional receptacle. Great design and functional, it will fit into any standard electrical box. It does get a little crowded in the box if you have two pairs of wires due to the bulkiness of the receptacle, but it will fit.

I bought a pair of 15 amp receptacles with dual USB charging ports to free up the outlets at the bedside. Between lamps, phone, watch and other devices, I needed two receptacles but only had one. The built in USB ports basically did away with needing a second receptacle.

Very easy to install, although I wish the ground screw was located st the back instead of underneath, as i didn’t have much clearance below the receptacle to get at it. Will buy a couple more to install elsewhere in the house.

Works with solid or stranded wire. Strip according to gauge on outlet. Leave wire straight and insert into the hole provided. Holes are clearly marked and identified. The hole directs the wire in between tightening plates.

The wire is clamped into place by a staged, preset,non-removable screw. Use a flathead or philips screwdriver for a really secure and tight fit, with no exposed copper or wire bending. Method is the same for neutral, hot and ground wire alike.

Quick, preset and easy. Cannot accidentally confuse line and load wires. Red and green LEDS assure proper installation.

Harder to find yet needed for my application. This unit is well built. GFCI and weather resistant receptacle. When there is nothing plugged in, there are what appears to be nylon closures that cover the holes.

Installed easily. needs a reset on the receptacle and it has worked perfectly since. Rather than waste the day looking for a 20 amp GFCI, just ordered from EBAY and went on with my day.

It looks really nice installed. I like that you can not see the cover plate screws. It is very well built and easy to install. The installation instructions were great. Even a beginner would be able to install this without a meter as it explains how to determine which is the line and load wires and how to install.

Good tamper free insures secure use. Easy to replace worn out socket with this new one.

Our kitchen was dark and dated. Outlets and switches were painted dark green to “match” soapstone countertops and backsplashes. The light almond switches, outlets, and covers complement the new quartz countertops and look fresh, clean, and modern.

Great online ordering process and curbside pickup. Got the outlets quickly and was able to install them that afternoon. The side screw clamps worked easily and effectively, just strip the wires to proper length then insert into clamp and tighten the screw.

I installed 10 outlets in less than 30 minutes. Not a fan of tamper resistant outlets as they require more force and finagling of the plug before it goes in. Its not bad for a lamp you plug in once but a bit of a nuisance if you plug something in often; like a razor.

Fits as described, not a lot more to say about electrical products

GFCI will work fine, however, there is a big design flaw on this product. at the back face, there are metal screw at each four corners to hold plastic housing. when you connect all 3 wires (black, white and ground wire) properly and ready to push it back to wall box, if ground wire will touch one of this screw at the corner, it would short the circuit and you will get surprise ‘”POP” and it would short the circuit.

So, before install this GFCI. COVER ALL METAL SCREW with liquid electrical tape or just clear nail polish to prevent for shoring the circuit. without it, it is dangerous!! BE AWARE!!!.

I was having a problem in my home with electricity flashing when I plugged into my receptacle. This unit stopped the problem completely and also stops the problem where you can reset from here rather than having to go to your panel box to reset.

I recommend this for all people to protect your home. Make sure you pay attention to the white wire(s) and how you connect them if you have 2 to connect. The load wire must be in the right place for the unit to work properly.

Old gfci had the reset button pop and really popped out. This was to replace outdoor outlet and knew I would use more in near future electrical work coming up. Beat anything I could purchase locally with relative quick deliver.

I found that the metal mounting tabs with the screws are not as rigid as previous versions I have used and found they bent when the device was forced in place against the wires.

Duplex plug. Great product but costs more in Yellowknife, NT than it does down south.

So, I installed this GFCI receptable on an exterior wall (outdoor). The quality is poor. This GFCI trips so easily it only works 50% of the time. My previous outlet GFCI lasted me 10years doing the same things I’m doing with it now, but this one lasted maybe 3 weeks.

It initially worked fine and didn’t trip often, now it trips and I have to keep resetting the darn thing almost every other time I attempt to use it. My equipment is only drawing a 12amp draw as well.

Isn’t this made with a 15amp draw in mind? I would not get this again, but I’m getting another brand.

the only minor complain i have is every other GFCI i have purchased came with face plates, these didn’t. that said these are a great quality and compared to Lowes they are a bit cheaper. install is straight forward.

the load side or the GFCI is covered with yellow tape so its idiot proof and makes sure a novice doesn’t get the line and load mixed up because it makes or breaks a GFCI install. at best a incorrect wiring of a GFCI will not provide any protection at worst some GFCIs will trip if wired wrong and not allow you to reset it leaving an idiot perplexed.

Disclaimer: the statement “idiot proof” is used loosely since there are various degrees of idiot. some idiots simply need instructions. other idiots get it wrong even with simple instructions and kill themselves.

Electric work tends to weed out the idiots and dispose of them. lol. If you consider yourself an idiot or arnt comfortable with BBQing yourself accidentally please get someone like a licensed electrician to put this in for you.

I bought this yesterday to upgrade. Present one is similar, except it isn’t tamper proof and yellow in colour but works fine. Green light on that it shows power, but nothing works when plugged in. Pushed reset.

Same. Faulty. Told to return it. May get non tamper proof one. Have had more luck. Shouldn’t make any difference.

It’s a standard middle of the road 15 amp outlet. Keep in mind that this is a 15 amp outlet so, contrary to what the review grinders have stated, it won’t work for any outlet. If you have a 15 amp breaker servicing your outlets, and you currently have a 3 wire grounded service you can use these.

If not you’ll need the proper outlet; don’t use a 3 wire outlet on a 2 wire service, and don’t use a 15 amp outlet on a breaker that is higher than 15 amps.

It’s a plug. You plug things into it. What can I say? A pluggier plug I never did see.

I bought this product knowing it has dual use/purpose for copper & aluminium wiring. It works great for situations where you don’t have enough of a service wire in the box you’re working in to be able to accomplish proper pig-tailing.

I love these outlets! They add a unique design element to my new home. My electrician had never seen them before and was impressed with their construction and ease of installation. One word of warning: You must order the face plates in conjunction with the outlets (and switches)! Unlike standard fixtures, the Adorne fixtures cannot be installed without the face plate and built-in bracket.

And the Adrone face plates are more expensive than standard plates because they include this bracket.

Took baby steps and ordered for one room first that included outlets and paddle switches. Looked great and super easy to install that resulted in ordering for the whole of the first floor. The ability to mix and match is amazing with three kids and their distinctive personalities.

I like these outlets much better than the standard outlets. The installation was very straight forward and the its constructed well. My only complaint, which I guess could be applied to any outlet, it would be difficult to have both outlets used at the same time.

Other than that, great stuff.

These legrand adorn outlets are very modern and sleek looking. A small change to a room that makes a big difference!

I purchased two GFCI outlets a month ago and I just love the modern look and it was so easy to install, I was looking for something pleasing to the eye and Legrand products does just that! I plan to change all my switches and plugs next.

These GFCI are the same high quality you can find in any hardware store. They meet the NEC requirements to be installed in kitchens, bathroom or laundry. I used mine to replace a faulty one at my basement where I have installed a water softener and filtration system.

Easy to install if you have some skills and if you know how to do it of course. Also, as many other GFCI outlets, these ones give you the option to protect more outlets connected to this GFCI. Great product at a great price.

Had someone try to install it and light switch worked but outlet part did not. I had seen a few negative reviews on this product but wanted to see for myself if it worked. Disappointed in the product because I’ve used other Leviton products that worked fine.

These are the GFCI receptacles I have been using for years. Just had to replace a new one though after it failed the monthly auto test. Not quite sure if it was an auto test fail or possibly from a surge / nearby lightning strike.

Not bad considering after installing over 100 in the past 30 years.

I have installed and tested the receptacle. It functions, but it’s too soon to judge its quality. I do find it peculiar that its one LED (green) is used as an “end-of-life” indicator. There is NO INDICATION whether the outlet is active or tripped.

Mine is located at a distant, poorly-lit point in a basement, which means that one has to walk over to the outlet to feel if the RESET button is raised or not.

I could have purchased a much cheaper brand, but I saw that it was BPA free. That sold me. Washes well and fits our 12-cup coffee maker just fine. I am happy with my purchase. Thanks.

easy to clean, and the coffee tastes so much better. I’ve had a few other brands, but so far this one is lasting longer than all the other ones I’ve owned. Three thumbs up!!

I have installed this A/C outlet on the side of my kitchen island/bfast area. So we are on our high chair and I have usually the Google home plugged into one plug and night light into others. But now having the USB A and USB C outlets in it makes me able to charge my phone or iPad while charge my laptop that has USB-C power port.

Depending on your needs, but I love the combo of USB AC in one outlet as you have multiple choices without need for any adapters. This is well made. Fits perfectly to any standard casing. Make sure to turn off the power before installing.

This is a very nice, simple, clean setup which allows you to charge your phone while still giving you 2 plugs. We use this on our counter behind the coffee maker, and now it’s not so cluttered with adapters.

I really like the way it cleaned up our clutter on the plugs. I also don’t have to look for an adapter. The only downside (which is just me being picky) is that the face plate didn’t match all of the rest of my outlet plates.

I ended up using one that I had instead.

I got this a few weeks ago and installed it in my bedroom outlet where I need to charge by devices more. The unit was easy to install with the existing wiring and the instructions were very clear. I am now able charge my phone and tablet without using up the two plugs.

Our first grandchild is a curious, exploratory toddler, so we realized it was time to upgrade the safety of our home outlets. We used Schneider Square D X Series outlets with the Tamper Resistant (TR) feature, which prevents anything other than a regulation plug from being pushed into the live socket.

This feature avoids dangerous or ‘shocking’ reactions for little ones…or those who just like to test things. We easily installed the white TR rockers and matching white squared corner wall plates throughout our home in an afternoon.

They have a contemporary design and white satin finish, which creates a nice visual upgrade as well. When inserting plugs into these TR outlets, you can feel a little resistance from the safety mechanism, a nice reminder of the protection and safety for children.
