20 Best Tampon For Beginners (2022 Updated)

I purchased this product at my local Walmart, what caught my eye was that this tampon brand has no chemicals, no dyes and is made with 100% natural cotton. I loved the packaging and the inspirational message in the box and the product itself however, the applicator needs improvement!!!! I’ve pinched myself down there many times attempting to insert a tampon, I also had issues of the applicator falling apart if I drew the plastic applicator too far.

Overall, I love the concept of this product but I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing #VeedaCanada #InspirePeriod.

I’ve been happily using Rael tampons for the last couple of years. My stash was running out so I ordered a ton more, only to find that they now… suck! Like the other reviewer KaseyT mentions (because yes I had to come back to the site to see if I missed something about a redesign) the applicator is a nightmare! Putting a tampon in is NOT supposed to be a 2-hand job.

I, too, notice the longer rectangular shape. So far it’s fine I guess because I’m on my heaviest day, but I’m afraid to see what the new “regular” ones are like. I’m so bummed and extremely confused.

I thought I was set for life finding Rael. Back to the drawing board. UGH.

I bought these because they don’t have chemicals and are made from organic cotton. Now that I’m into a little over a month of use, I can definitely say these are not very good. They’re just okay. I wouldn’t recommend them to women who have a very heavy flow or even just a heavy flow.

My periods are very heavy the first two days and these really don’t hold well with that. They constantly leak. Even the ones that are the super absorbency leak all the time. I have to change them so frequently because they don’t absorb as well as others.

I really wanted to like them because over all, Seventh Generation is a good brand, but these are just not good.

I switched to organic tampons about a year ago and love seventh generation products, so I really wanted to like their tampons. Unfortunately, they felt like they would start to slip out throughout the day, or they would leak through and when I would take them out there would barely be anything absorbed.

I tried all different sizes and I had the same problems with all of them. I write this review in hopes that they find a solution to this problem and maybe I’ll try them again in the future.

I bought these last week because I was in a pinch. I was looking forward to using something different, but ended up having to go back to ANOTHER store to buy a different brand because I couldn’t get a good grip on the applicator once the “fun” began.

I tried 4 different ones, all with no luck. The cardboard is super slippery at the base and bends too much, causing the internal piece to get stuck. 0/0 wouldn’t recommend.

Tampax always comes with reliability, ease of use and a brand I can trust. However, I don’t see any great change to these cardboard ones from their predecessors. One of the reasons I use plastic applicators is because they insert painlessly, even when the area is tight or dry.

I’d love to use cardboard since I know it’s more environmentally friendly (quite frankly, I’d use a cup if that were an option for me as well) but they just don’t make the insertion easy and painless.

I know Tampax is a brand that is more attuned to women’s needs but some women just have certain challenges with their cycle that make certain options out of reach. I think if they can craft the top with the same smooth dome you find with plastic, it would make a difference.

Nonetheless, these are very good quality. The wrapper and other elements, aside from the tampon itself are all paper. Not waterproof in the slightest so I would store them in their own small bag if tucked into a purse.

They’re lightweight and the tubes didn’t have any issue with sliding on application. The tampon itself expands and absorbs predictably and reliably. There’s truly nothing wrong with the product itself, it would just come down to preference.

Some women just have far more limited options but if you can do cardboard, this is a reliable choice.

These Tampax tampons with the cardboard applicator are the original period protection women had used and trusted for years. The regular tampon will last up to 8 hours with really comfortable protection.

They expand after inserted to your own shape , as they call form fitting, and have something they call a protective skirt so it doesn’t leak. It basically stops leaks before they happen. So you do feel confident that there won’t be any leaks, but still still feel comfortable I am so grateful that are still available for use.

The cardboard applicator is biodegradable which is much better for the environment cause we all know the plastic is not. I feel that is something ladies should start thinking off. Yes it is a small thing, but all theses small things add up.

Theses were always the best, different and new products always come out but we always go back to the original cause it is always the best. I highly recommend this to all my female family and friends.

I have been a user of Tampax tampons for at least 30 years on and off. During all of those years, I’ve consistently been happy with the quality of their products. To be honest, the only reason I don’t remain loyal to this brand is because of price, paying for less expensive alternatives when it’s an option which is usually the case.

However, if there is a sale or I have a coupon, Tampax is my go-to brand! I can’t say the cardboard applicators are my favorite, though. Unfortunately, they don’t go in as smoothly or as comfortably as the plastic applicators (which again cost a little bit more).

The cardboard applicators don’t hurt or cause lingering pain, but I can feel them sometimes. Long review shorter, if you want high-quality tampons and want to pay less than the price for plastic applicators, Tampax cardboard tampons have you covered! But if you don’t want to have even a tiny twinge of discomfort when inserting your tampon, I’d go with plastic!.

This product works great. I usually have a heavy flow and i was skeptical about switching to an all natural product. I feared that there would be leakage from a natural product but I was completely wrong this product absorbs just like Tampax if not better! Im committed now and have spreaded the word.

I’ve been using LOLA for over 4 years and I can’t say enough good things about them. I love that they’re applicator free for a significant reduction in plastic. I love that they’re organic. I love how comfortable they are to insert (I’ve used others and they can be pretty rough and uncomfortable).

I’ve never had an issue with string breaking or a faulty tampon (which is pretty darn important as this is not something you want to leave room for error in!!) and now I love that you can order up to a six month’s worth of supplies at once to reduce carbon footprint even further.

A really lovely brand and a great experience. I’m planning on using Lola till I don’t have a need for tampons anymore. Oh and I guess this may not matter to some but it’s a personal touch I love- the blue hues of the wrappers they look so good when they’re stored it just makes the whole unpleasant experience just a bit better.

These are wonderful tampons! I use them with a reusable tampon applicator to be environmentally friendly. I would give them 5 stars, BUT I have a lot of trouble getting them out of their individual wrappings.

I spend a long amount of time trying to lift the corner to rip the plastic off, but there’s just no easy way to do it. If your intention is to do a quick tampon change these might not be for you. It would be great if there was a perforation or tab to rip the wrapping off to make it a seamless experience.

I have been using re-useable pads for the past year but this month had a particularly heavy period, seriously heavy and sore! After a couple days I couldn’t bear the sweaty damp feeling between my legs anymore(even after constant changing) and remembered I had bought a pack of these in case of emergencies at work.

Let me tell you what a relief!!! My skin felt like it could breathe and I didn’t feel unhygienic nor could I smell anything unlike the pads. Perfectly comfortable and the applicator is a dream, total peace of mind when I have a Tampax Compak in! Took a couple pain killers and honesty felt back to my normal self.

Won’t be looking back!!!.

The compact tampons are an amazing product. I have used for years and years and are by far the best product on the market. Applicators always work. But they’ve recently changed the colour of the applicator to a garish bright blue and it’s terrible.

They used to be a more subtle, discreet colour which suited the product far better.

I have always liked [brand:ob] tampons though I’m not really a fan of tampons in general (but sometimes I use depending on the situation). They are so small and compact (basically unnoticeable in your purse).

There is a convenient plastic packaging that removes easily. Great absorption and simple removing.

Product is tightly wrapped. Needs to be opened up slightly before putting it in or it’ll fall out. It’s awful that they don’t have an applicator. I recommend finding a better product

The only reason I’m giving this 4 not 5 is the price. Work just as you’d expect however these are so pricey compared to other 100% cotton tampons. Was expecting them to be different than other tampons or biodegradable packaging but they are not.

I love that ulta is selling personal care products like this and wish they’d expand what they offer.

I’ve been buying the organic tampons from Blume for months now, and I love the tampons, but more importantly, I love how accommodating their team is. They were so supportive of my needs when I told them I had to move mid-lockdown and needed a change of address on a recent order.

I’ve also tried their facewash, DayDreamer, and it’s so soft and gentle on my skin. It’s been awhile since I reordered but a little goes SUCH a long way that I never felt the need to subscribe. Will definitely be reordering.

I did have an allergic reaction to Meltdown but that is because I had an eczema flareup at the time where even all of my previous skincare was causing me problems. Interestingly enough, the only thing that did calm the reaction at the time (before I had to go medication for a later, unrelated flareup) was Daydreamer !! <3 So in love with this WOC owned business <3.

These are amazing. Soft and absorbent and discreet! You can literally do anything, even be intimate and the guy will not be able to tell. This is a game changer. I know many women who would like these to become more available at a more affordable price but so far a lot of women have never even heard of them.

Tip: They do have different kinds available. So if you get the stringless ones and you want them with a string you can tie your own on. Plain floss, (not mint!), works and is very strong. Also they have wet or dry ones.

If you prefer wet and only dry are available you just wet it a little before inserting. Simple, clean, no mess easy to use. And like I said a GAME CHANGER.
