20 Best Tank Top Undershirts (2022 Updated)

Really like these underwear tanks, even better than more expensive brands that I have bought. They look, fit, and feel better. Long enough to tuck into boxer shorts. Launder well. They fit close to my body and look sharp under a white shirt with jeans! Nice clean lines.

Ordered XL, received MEDIUM I’ve been buying these ribbed T-shirts for myself and family members for decades. I am so disappointed. the quality is significantly decreased. The material is VERY THIN Re-order? Choose color T’s? Different brand ? Undecided.

Whatever I choose going forward, receiving some thing other than what I ordered was very disappointing.

You might think that there is nothing special about an undershirt – what could they really do differently?Well. my son thinks these are positively great. He gets too warm very easily, and regular undershirts wouldoften just be stuck to him instead of helping him stay comfortable.

We ordered a set of the X-Temp undershirts for him to try. We were not new to X-Temp items – all the family has the X-Temp insulated underwear (aka “longjohns”) and love them for their warmth and lightweight, comfy feel.

These shirts were no different. My son has to wear all black as part of his work uniform. We got the black X-Temp undershirts, which he wore under the polo uniform shirts. He loved them. They wick away some of the body heat without getting (and staying) damp.

He is also uber sensitive to scratchy materials, so it was nice to have something that didn’t bother his skin. I was worried that they might shrink up or fade in the washer (we bought black shirts), but neither case has happened.

Two thumbs up to Hanes for the great technology that goes into something as “everyday” as an undershirt. Things like these make life just a little bit less stressful.

I completely love these shirts. I stole them from my husband. I initially got them for him. But, they are unimaginably comfortable. These shirts have a lot of stretch to them. I am not a small person and they fit me perfectly.

I love that they are not too heavy and they do not roll up while wearing them. The multiple colors is a plus too. I love that I can choose a color to match my outfit. I am not stuck with the same color over and over.

I would recommend these. I have no issues with them. They are put together very well. Plus you get a good value for your money. They are a 6 pack. Who doesn’t love a good deal? I know these are totally worth getting.

These shirts were absolutely awesome! They fit perfectly with extra length to stay tucked in all day! The quality has been awesome there’s been no issues at all! I absolutely plan on buying more in the future! Even though they’re white I have not had issues with stains.

The couple times I’ve spilled something after they got washed they were completely white again. I’ve had a great experience with these shirts for the price I paid. These were a great value! I would buy them for my family.

I’m 41 and Fruit of the loom has been in my life since I could walk. There’s nothing that can compare to Fruit of the loom it’s fit, texture and durability. I’m proud to raise my family on Fruit of the loom and I hope my daughter raises hers as well.

Can we talk about the fabric? Incredible the softest sweaters I’ve ever worn and now the most incredible tanks I’ve ever worn. Fruit of the loom you can really do it all.

I got these about two weeks ago and I’ve been wearing them at work. They’re just what I’ve been looking for! Light weight, moisture wicking and balances out the cool from the air conditioning. They fit great and feel great.

Mof of the time I don’t sense I’m wearing them.

I was skeptical about the brand so I gave it a try. This is something I will be recommending, feels like you are not even wearing them. True to fit, quick dry other than the cotton ones. Even bought my wife this brand and she likes the feel of the fabric.

These are the best and most comfortable under shirts with great fabric in good price. Fits perfect chest and length. I have thrown my old under shirts & ordered two of these packs. Highly recommended!

From both husband and wife: The last 2 or 3 times we have purchased your A-Shirt Tanks, as well as tanks for women, we’ve noticed a changed in the fabric quality! We used to love your tanks. The fabric is thinner, stretchier, & warps out of shape.

The men’s shirts we just received are super long as well. We noticed in other reviews they are stating the tanks shrink up to baby size after one wash. We hope these are being made long to compensate for the shrinkage – we’ll have to see.

We could easily rip these tanks just by pulling them apart with both hands. It states the shirts are still 100% cotton, but these aren’t the same tanks at all. Long-time customers can tell the difference – the men’s tanks are too thin & stretch & the women’s tanks warp out of shape but have no give.

You all are doing something different. We may have to switch to another brand! The women’s panties, so far, remains the same. I sincerely hope you do not change their quality!.

Thought I should post a review on the Jockey100% Cotton A-Shirt Tank – 4 Pack , I purchased @ jockey. com. I have to say in a world where good customer satisfaction is hard to come by I must congratulate Jockey on a job well done.

You can tell the company takes the time to produce an outstanding product. Starting with the packing its amazingly done with a square cut out on the front so you can feel the material without having to even open the package.

Also has colorful sticker that describes the stay cool technology. Not only is it well priced, its a 4 pack. I have purchased many items from jockey over the years and have always been satisfied. Well done Jockey, and thanks for doing right.

Very soft, very comfortable. Have ordered in a couple different sizes and they seem to run true to size. I wash them on normal cycle with my regular t-shirts and dry them on low heat and so far there has been no noticeable shrinkage and no loss of shape.

Seem to be pretty well made as there has been no issues with seams coming undone and no pilling from the laundering. Very pleased with these and wear them daily. Have already purchased them several times and will buy again.

My only issue is that the website can’t seem to keep them in stock, otherwise a great shirt and I highly recommend them.

I love the square cut look. It’s a great way to switch up from the normal tank top look, while still having a minimal feel to it. Fantastic material. I originally ordered a small. I’m 5’5 150-160 lbs and while they fit, it gives a very snug look.

I ordered two sets of the medium and I much prefer them for a bit more room. Still form fitting, but not skin tight. My only gripe is that these are rather long in length. I generally fold mine up a bit to make sit a bit closer to my hips.

Over all, I will be buying from this company in the future.

Love them! I’m 6’3 220 with a mild athletic build and they really highlight my upper body definition. Although they did get slightly shorter after the first wash the length was still good for my height.

Will be ordering more in the future.

At my ripe old age, no one believes how old I am, I still have a solid upper body. These would help make someone who is not so well built look hotter. Unfortunately, when men get to a certain age a thin waist becomes nearly impossible, and these consequently make a dad bod look bigger than what it really is.

If someone has larger than a 32″ waist these are not for you even in an XL. Sorry guys.

It’s hard to fine to ask Ralph Lauren athletic shirt and black. So I have and the fact Dillards has them makes it easy on me to order and get them online the best ever.

These are great under shirts. Appearance, quality, feel are all A1. The odd thing is they are extremely long. Perhaps size down, unless you want a gown. I was extremely dissatisfied with the delivery though.

It took an excessively long time, and my package looked to be picked & pocked at.

These look so cute on my son. The sizing seems a little small but the quality is nice. Like most they stretch as you wear them and become loose after a day of wear. No worries they go back to size after a wash.

Over all I love the material. Not itchy and no tag to bother my kiddos sensitive skin. Would purchase again for sure.

These are garbage! Obviously they are for children but they are ridiculously tiny. My 5yr old had to struggle to put these on. I didn’t even want or like the rib texture, but he thought he would so I bought them.

I wanted just plain, smooth tank tops, but these were all they had in store. Never again! I’d return them if I still had the packaging.

Nice tee for our four-year old (about to be five) to wear under his shirts here soon! Weather is changing and we went to make sure he stays warm at school and during the night. We purchased size 2T/3T for our soon when he was three and he was able to wear until he turned four! He still can wear them, but they are a little short now.

The color and softness of this shirt are pretty good. The color seems brighter than I expected but I know that sometimes colors look different in a picture on the computer. The fit of this shirt however is what made me give the shirt a 3.

It’s very large & loose at the top which I can deal with & expected. However at the bottom it hugs your stomach in a way that makes me want to size up but then I’d really have a lot of excess shirt on top and under arms.

Unfortunately I am not happy with how this fits & will be returning it. This shirt is probably great on other ppl. But for a curvy girl like me it just hugs in all the wrong places.

I bought these shirts to give me some added visibility when I am hiking, which includes some public gravel roads with blind corners and elevation changes that make visibility important. These shirts are really a great buy for the money.

Bright, cool, durable, colorfast, low-shrinkage. My only comment, and this is not a criticism, is that these are very generously cut. I bought a large, assuming shrinkage would shrink it down to medium size.

Well after five washings they are still real loose. I am going to buy some high-viz orange ones in medium size.

I usually buy these items from a local retailer, but it’s September and the retailer is going in for school clothes. Does me no good when I can’t find them in the stores so I went to the on-line store.

Was skeptical because a number of times, vendors make subtle changes to items that are sold by retailers as opposed to their direct sales department. PLEASANT SURPRISE! These are the exact same that you find in the stores.

The only difference is that there are more colors to choose from!!!!!! A Plus!!! Simple. Well- made. Economical. The fabric is a substantial grade of cotton and they wear well. Gentlemen I leave this as a quality control professional of 40 years- The ink that you’re using on the tag in the T-shirt flakes off during washing some of it gets on other clothing but when I wash my tanks together he gets on them as well.

I must say the quality of the shirt is impeccable I have bought three times from you In less than a month. because I had to replace the cotton tank tops I’ve had from fruit of the loom you wash them three times and they fall apart I have washed your shirts five or six and they’re still just as good as if I receive them brand new fantastic quality.

The ink on the shirt it’s not good. Being involved in the printing business years ago I’m sure that inks have come along way that you can get them more to soak into the fabric a waterproof type of ink or a rubberized ink.

It should add little to no cost to the actual shirt.

I’m 6′ 1″ with a 29″ inseam, so I’m all trunk. It’s not awesome. I wear the tanks layered (a size down) as undershirts. I really like the cut and material but I do have to cinch my belt down to keep them tucked, especially if I am doing an activity like yardwork where I am constantly bending/reaching.

If you would make an XLT size with a few more inches of tail I would be in heaven. And don’t make the mistake of making the arm holes extra long. The other undershirt makers do that and it causes the armhole to gape way too far down.

Purchase this in the color white and black for my husband back in July 2021. After going through many wash and drying, the shirt is still in great condition and is still soft. By far my husbands favorite under-shirt/tank to wear.

He said it is comfortable, soft, and has a good stretch but holds form. A bit pricey, but you get what you paid for. Would definitely recommend. Five stars easily.

I HAVE PURCHASED THESE T-SHIRTS IN THE PAST FOR MY HUSBAND CAUSE HE’S VERY TALL AND IT WAS NICE MATERIAL AND QUALITY BUT I ORDER HIM SOME NEW ONES I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED IN QUALITY AND MATERIAL IS CHEAP.

These shirts are of very good quality. They stretch just enough to have a good fit and long enough to tuck in your pants without them riding up when you move around.

Bought these for hubby in the multi dark colors. The fabric is so soft and colors don’t fade after washing. The fit is perfect. Will buy these again.

I thought that you got what you paid for and decided to make the investment over a year ago. I owned over 40 pairs of underwear so I didn’t wear them much but after close to 8-10 wears I noticed holes.

I’ve had underwear for over 5 years and haven’t had holes and tears. I feel used and gotten… I saw that Kevin Hart moved over to fabletics and now it all makes sense… more affordable and durable. I don’t have it like that to spend this type of money on drawls for them not to last.

Very disappointed but what do I do at this point but throw them away.

Have bought multiple pairs and styles over the last 2 to 3 years. They look good and are comfortable but they DO NOT hold up at all. 10 or so wears and you will start to see wear signs. By 15 or so wears, many are falling apart.

When I compare these to Mack Weldon or Calvin Klein it is clear that Tommy John are just not as well made and are more expensive. As I said, they are comfortable but they do not wear well.

These are great tank tops when new, but they are ridiculously overpriced and they are difficult to wash. If you put them in with your regular laundry they get dingy quickly. If you put them in with your whites and use a little bleach then they turn completely yellow.

I’ve bought a bunch of these over the years and the yellowing from bleach seems relatively new. I won’t be buying any more.

This cotton classics tank 5 pack is absolutely amazing! They are true to size and fits perfectly. The cotton is thicker which is awesome because they will last longer. These are definitely a must have.

You can wear them with anything and they look amazing. I recieved this as a sample and this is 100% my own opinion!.

Overall, these are good basic undershirts. I like the soft ribbed cotton and they fit perfect in the chest. Unfortunately, after one wash and dry, the length will shrink by a couple inches. Stitching also frequently comes undone at the hem and you’ll have to cut/pull threads.

I’ve bought packs of these over the years with the same issues every time.

These are perfectly fitting, durable, breathable, soft, cotton tanks from Calvin Klein that I love to wear to layer either in fall or winters under my dress shirts and sweaters. Keeps you cool and wicks moisture away.

I’ve been using regular tank undershirts for a few years, but they never really fit well. They were typically too short and would gather to the center of my chest. Then I found these shirts. I absolutely love them! They are plenty long enough to stay tucked in and they stay put across my chest.

I ordered more and am throwing out my old undershirts.

Super cozy. Fit well. Easy to wash. Air dry. Light weight and breathable. Great to keep you covered without sweating you to death.

My son loves these shirts. He’s a larger guy so he sweats, but these shirts kept him cool and comfortable

After wearing the shirt for a little while I realized I think I should have gotten a shirt in a Large (LG)size. For me personally, the shirt doesn’t go down as much as I would like it to but that may just be personal preference.

Also, the sleeves seem a little short but that may just be my preference again. In all shirts I am a medium but I may buy a large in the next and all other shirts from Tani. I also have a large in their silk cut shirt and that fits me very well.

This shirt in the cotton however does form to my body very well which is hard to me to find in t-shirts.

Fits well, material for an undershirt is very nice. The arms however, are surprisingly tight, and I do not have large arms/biceps.

The quality of the shirt was great but even though they tell you to size up I still think it felt small. I wear small in most shirts and ordered a medium. My arms are pretty small, and a medium shirt was snug on the biceps.

This was described as a t-shirt but I think it’s better suited to an undershirt.

It’s got a very good quality. You only had XL size. So I bought it. It doesn’t not fit me. My size is actually 2XL. Can you please include the 2XL sizes in you size chart ? I can’t wear the XL I bought.

Great shirts but should have gotten larger size I’m barrel chested so the shirts ride up. Large instead of medium

I got these to wear under sheer tops even though they’re technically men’s and I am female. I got a small because I wanted them to be close fitting. I usually wear a womans medium or large top. The shirts are very soft and they wash and dry nicely.

My only complaint is a the shoulder seam they used a type of plastic which I assume was to prevent stretching at the seam. This plastic irritated my skin but I’m pretty sensitive generally. I sew so i was able to resew the seam, cutting off whatever was used that seemed to bother me and now they’re perfect.

If you have sensitive skin, these may not be for you.

Nike Dri-Fit Everyday Cotton Stretch is a great tank shirt to wear as an undershirt or to sleep. I am a female and I prefer to buy the men’s tank undershirt because they are thicker and more durable.

I live in an area that has hot weather often and these undershirts have been keeping me cool and dry during the day and night. Soft and not thick. Stretch. Slim fit and comfortable. Made of 95% cotton and 5% elastane.

They wash well and did not shrink. I highly recommend to those who want a quality undershirt that is soft, comfortable and keeps you dry.

I really haven’t worn a Nike tank top until now. I always go for the cheaper off brands. But not anymore! Nike makes a high quality tank top that fit perfectly with a nice above average feel to them, smooth and soft, a sturdy feel with a durable and snug sensation seamlessly taking the shape of you body perfectly.

O my so comfortable. No lie I am picking up at least 14 more of these. Perfect for a sunny day with out an over shirt and perfectly fitting under a good every day shirt! Best ever!!!.

This a-shirt has been the only one I’d buy for many years. I am tall (6’1″) and most brands stop exactly at the waist, and if you order tall, the material quality goes thin to keep the pricing the same.

Even in normal sizes, pretty much every major big box multi-pack brand has been see-through and scratchy out of the pack for over a decade. I spent years trying different brands and Mack Weldon is the only one which works for me.

Also tried Tommy John cool cotton, which fits great but too thin and doesn’t insulate well. I am moderately fit with broad shoulders (46″ chest) and average waist (36″). The Mack Weldon large fits perfectly.

Length is comfortably below the waist. Straps are slightly wider than Hanes. Scoop is round but sits about the same as Hanes, situated exactly below the second button of a dress shirt. Thickness is insulative and warm with no draftiness.

Perfect for adding a layer while sleeping. Edges are about as thick as any other, but softer and slightly less noticeable outline under a dress shirt. The big reason I am writing a review now is to applaud the addition of gray and blue.

For several years, all that was available had been white. Still no black, but at least with a dark blue option, I have some new options in the summer. Still rotating (6) of the white, bought (3) of the gray to check up on the quality and it’s the same exact fit and softness as ever.

I have long been on the hunt for my ideal rib tank, and this is the first one that I’ve been psyched about! The first thing I noticed about it is comfort, softness, and stretch. Very noticeable right away, and you can tell it’s excellent quality.

I have only worn it twice, but it’s the most comfortable rib tank I’ve ever worn, and I can tell it’s going to last a long time. Will definitely get around to buying more. And I would buy it in black and grey, if I could.

It’s much more shear than I was hoping. My goal was to have an around-the-house tanktop/sleepwear, but I’m not trying to let everyone see every detail of my nipples. The pain of a white fabric, I guess.

The fabric is soft, which is nice. But it really is only useful as an undershirt.
