20 Best Tape For Stucco (2022 Updated)

We use foil tape in dusty and oily environments. This part number tape does not work well for that. This tape does not mold to parts and tears whenever it is pressed firmly against. Even after cleaning the area very will with alcohol it still would not stand up to vibration or weight.

I do not recommend this product for Industrial use. 3 stars because my company may have went cheap to save money and it did not live up to our standards. It very well may work for home uses.

I used this as a base patch for a hole BEFORE applying my fiberglass body filler. It’s perfect if you know what you are doing.

This strong double-sided mounting tape takes the place of nails and screws. Yes! Finally, a way to avoid additional holes in my walls. I was surprised by how quickly it bonds together and the weight it holds.

I started by using the mounting tape to add a few pictures to my wall. It was super easy to apply and I love that it is not permanent. I also used the mounting tape to hold up the cord of my mini blinds, hold a purse hook on the side of my desk, and a small picture on my office wall.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this product.

I purchased this product as an alternative to where I couldn’t place nails in a door. So far I am very impressed with its mounting ability. Time will tell with the longevity of use, cost was fairly reasonable just over $10.

We lease our office therefore we cant do any permanent modifications to the walls, thats where this mouning tape really comes in handy. We use this to put up art, degree certificates and paperwork. I even use this to secure cords under my desk.

Granted this deals with adhesion only. But I was working in subzero temps and standard Gorilla tape wouldn’t even think of sticking in those conditions. Emergency bodging required duct tape of SOME sort and the T-Rex tape adhered in below-frigid conditions with NO problem.

As the season warmed I did not note any adhesive performance of T-Rex fall below that of Gorilla tape. Given I could usually find T-Rex (also USA-made) tape for 1/2 to 2/3 the price of Gorilla tape, T-Rex tape has now become my benchmark/standard for duct tape in all applications.

Both more costly (Gorilla) and less costly tapes BOTH fail to perform as well as T-Rex IN MY EXPERIENCE. Therefore T-Rex has now become a standard stocking item on my homestead for these reasons.

I purchased this double-sided tape from Ever Build as I have used it before to stick down vinyl flooring in my main bathroom. This time I used it to stick down vinyl flooring in my En-suite bathroom.

The tape is excellent and really sticky (just be careful to keep your fingers off it as it can get a bit messy trying to remove it). It doesn’t like being removed once it had been down a few days either so take care to stick it down first time around.

At £6. 69 per roll it’s not cheap and I used a total of 3 rolls in my small 2m x 2m En-suite bathroom but I suppose I could have made some savings by leaving a few staggered gaps around the the edge of the floor area.

Stocks were in short supply too and I had to travel to 3 separate Toolstation stores in Gloucestershire to buy the last remaining roll from each store (clocked up a lot of extra miles over two days as two of the Toolstation stores were closed early due to staff shortages)! I would recommend this double-sided tape.

Fab tape. I use it on a number of items, including sticking undercupboard LED strips, whereby the supplied peel off adhesive properties leave a lot to be desired. Also to stick minitrunking to surfaces that cannot be drilled.

The tape is exceptionally crystal clear, and has good grab qualities. I have even stuck extractor fans to bathroom tiles with it, where it was too risky to try and drill. Just make sure you dont rush its application, and use sidecutters or sharp scissors to cut.

Always a good idea on the tiles to clean the area first of any residual silicone, and clean with some methylated spirit or solvent first then wipe dry with tissue,before applying the tape. Thats just me being a bit over the top, because as I said, the grab on this is good.

Expensive, but a good tape to keep on the van at all times.

I bought this tape to rejoin the seams on a large awning (5 X 3 metres) where the stitching had failed (20+years), Relatively easy to apply. It is only a couple of mm thick so does not cause a ‘bump’ as the awning is rolled in.

It has survived the recent very hot sunshine so seems to be doing the job so far. It was relatively easy to apply – leave one side of the protective tape on until the other side is stuck on. Being rolled up for two thirds of the day no doubt renews / reinforces the bond.

An extremely cheap and easy solution to my problem.

I just moved back to Ohio from Colorado and my garage is too small for a project Lotus 22 Formula Junior and an Alfa Giulia Spider. First I had to build a deck above the garage and second I had to label all the boxes of parts.

That’s where the Pegasus Super Racers Tape comes in. The Lotus consists of a frame, a nose and 7 milk cartons of parts. Well, at least 7. I had a few plastic parts bins left over from the move, for things like the replica Anasazi vases.

These were emptied out, the car parts were spread out over several boxes and then each was labeled with Pegasus Super Racers Tape in color white. This tape will not come off the boxes and the writing in felt-tip pen can be changed when you add parts into the box.

When not labeling boxes, I keep the roll of tape in the trunk of my old Alfa just in case something should go wrong — silly to think of, something going wrong in that car. Still and all. it might be possible.

Not great tape. Bought the red racer tape last year and this silver tape is no where close to the same. Tears too easily length wise . Flimsy and hard to work with.

Used the burgundy color to mend a TaeKwonDo mat that had aging velcro strips and a few cut vinyl pieces. The tape is very sticky, matches the color perfectly and has resisted to a bunck of kids walkind, falling and sliding over it, all day.

Very satisfied. Saved us a lot of money on buying new matx.

Great tape for holding stuff together. Very adhesive. Hard to get it off your fingers when you’re trying to put it down on something. My only complaint is is I think sometimes it works a little bit too good.

The Gorilla tape is some of the strongest and has tremendous adherence properties of all the top brand ‘duct’ tapes on the market. I originally purchased the roll to assist in strapping a transmission to a floor jack and it worked lie a charm! The tranny weighed about 800 pounds and the Gorilla held it to the jack super tight.

Just like the glue, the Gorilla tape is now a staple in my toolbox!.

I have used duck tape all my life for everything. This stuff is better. Only draw back is – My girl friend tried to use it, and was having a hard time dispensing it, because it was so stick. So I got stuck doing her little project.

I’ve used Gorilla tape for years as a trucker. Great for tarp repairs, holding shrink wrap, managing excess straps, etc. Stays where you put it. Around the house it’s even more useful.

I was painting interior trim and this was handy so I used it to mask the painted drywall. The tape has “Exterior” printed on it, so I partially blame myself for using it. But I never expected what happened — pulling off not just the paint but in some places tearing the top layer of paper off the drywall.

Made a complete mess that I now have to patch and repaint. I would ask manufacturer to print “DO NOT USE ON DRYWALL” as extra warning to people like me. I’m sure it deserves more starts when properly used, but I give it one star for not sufficiently warning me of the damage it would do.

We put down pre-finished bamboo floors in our houses as soon as the plaster is done. That means we have to protect the floors while all the interior trim work is happening, as well as while all the messy subcontractors are coming in and out with their muddy boots.

We cover the floors with a rolled cardboard type floor covering, and tape it down around the edges with the exterior blue tape. Even after being taped directly to the pre-finished surface, and being walked on for at least two months, the tape came right up without taking the finish off the floor.

I was nervous about leaving it on for that long, but it worked beautifully! I highly recommend it!.

I use rolls of blue tape every year, to adhere my posters to the walls. Guess what ?! The blue tape sticks to the wall, stays on the poster yet doesn’t harm the paint !! Scotch Blue is perfect for me !!.

I used this for the plastic flap connected to one of the bulk meat drawers down the bottom of my freezer. Something dropped and completely cracked it. Probably about a 15cm long crack. I put this tape on both sides of the crack.

In the chilled damp environment of a freezer for well over a year it’s still holding completely tight and strong. Like I can grab the part right where it’s cracked and use moderate man force to try and bend it and the tape holds completely and it’s as strong as if it was never cracked in the first place.

Strike that, it’s now stronger than it was before. The tape is also near invisible as the plastic is also completely clear.

Adhesive is really good. I purposefully bought this because my home has a catflap from the outside wall into my kitchen. Until I get a professional to brick it up I have placed bubblewrap on the external wall over the catflap and secured it with clear Gorilla tape to keep the winter cold out.

It works a dream, no more draughts. The tape has stuck to the brickwork well and not come away in the rain and winds. It is certainly good as an interim measure. I have not tried the tape on other surfaces yet.

Gorilla Glue Tape Is great. When our almost two foot in diameter domed ceiling light fell and hung only by the electrical connection, this great tape held it to the ceiling until our electrician could arrive.

It only took the paint off partially in one tape section, but we will worry about re-painting later. Damage would have been far more catastrophic, dangerous, and costly without Gorilla Glue Tape. We have used this great tape for years for many other things, but usually for normal things like packaging and minor repairs.

I’ve now used this tape for three projects. If the surfaces you intend to stick together are clean (especially make sure you are completely free of silicone sealer residue, dust, loose or aging paint, aged wood, or similar) then this tape will stick and hold very well.

It does not adhere to surfaces that are of questionable soundness and it won’t stick to silicone sealer residue AT ALL, EVER. I just mounted some polycarbonate windows to a fiberglass boat, and the initial adhesion appears to be very good.

In my case I’ll secure the pieces in place with intermittent screws to minimize potential gaps as the materials flex in the heat/cold. For two earlier small projects, like holding my radio receiver in my truck’s cup holder, and for holding some foam blocks in place to protect heads from hitting screw ends, the material appears to be working as well as expected.

Two things I concur with from other reviews are that the backing is hard to handle and the material seems unreasonably expensive. Overall, this is a good choice for bonding materials, just make you choose the materials and prep them properly.

I bought this to hang Christmas lights outside in a rainproof area. They fell down several times. This tape costs a dollar a foot! You only get 5 feet on a roll. Too bad it does not hold. You would be much better off with a different brand.

I used to think Scotch was a good name. Maybe for the thin clear tape for wrapping gifts. But not this tape. DO NOT BUY! You will be sorry at the low quality and inability to hold AND high price.

We use it for a multitude of projects. Whatever you hang with it will not come off without effort. We put up promotional vinyl and canvas banners, mailboxes, exit signs, restroom signs, hand sanitizer dispensers, pictures, comm boxes, suggestion boxes, decorative pieces and coat hangers.

The only problem you will have with this tape is trying to get something down after you hang it. Also, the red plastic backing is the devil to peel off.

This tape is tenacious, long lasting & strong. The easy tart-off feature means I don’t need a knife or scissors in my back pocket all the time. I don’t know if it comes in white, but the black gets hot if left for prolonged periods in sunlight.

It is the best tape! I have been using this tape for a long time now. I use it on huge boxes with super heavy load that I send internationally and it never failed me. The boxes are received after two months and they are very in tact because of gorilla tape.

Gorilla Black Tape does exactly what you expect, it sticks firmly and holds. We are using this tape it to hold a plastic carpet protector down to a doorway matt. High traffic has not caused this tape to let go or shift.

This literally cannot hang a camera that is not even a pound. I’ve tried everything. Followed the intrucstions as written. Cleaned both surfaces, taped vertically, had it on a flat surface, held it down for 2 minutes.

Within 10 minutes it dropped the whole thing fell. CARPET TAPE HOLDS BETTER THEN THIS. I have some off brand carpet tape that literally holds all my cameras inside and out better then this. I had to use it because this stuff literally didn’t work.

Do not buy! I even tried hanging it with duct tape holding the sides of the camera just to see if it was the actual surface rather then the tape. The tape fell and the off brand duct tape had everything hanging in place because this tape is literally garbage.

Bought this because I had just flown in to San Antonio to pick up a used truck to drive home to El Paso. As soon as I touched the rearview mirror, it fell off the windshield, which was severely cracked and had a few starburst cracks too.

My intent was to replace the windshield once I got home so I could either invest in a kit to reinstall the mirror, or use a small amount of this Gorilla Glue Mounting Tape, which cost $2 more. I opted for the GGMT, since I would have plenty left over for other uses.

I cleaned the surface, attached a 1″ piece, pressed firmly, and held my breath as I let go. It held with minimal vibration for the entire trip home, over 600 miles. The next day, in the warmth of El Paso’s temps, the mirror began to sag, but the GGMT had done it’s job and got me home safely, and I still had plenty left over for other purposes.

this product is great. it is easy to use and can hold up to 30 pounds. we used it for pictures in the house. but can adhere to many different surfaces. can adhere to metal, glass, wood, stone and some plastics.

can also adhere to rough surfaces in additional to flat ones. this can be cut to whatever desired size you need. we have not tried to remove. the website has clear instructions on how to easily remove when you are ready.

i can think of many projects that i would use this for other than decorating.

Product is fine. Store is filthy. Don’t think front door has been washed in months. A young salesman proudly told me he was unvaxxed getting way too close. I immediately went to manager shaking. He was nice.

But who Woolf want to go into a filthy store where you are verbally accosted for wearing a mask!.

If you need a review about “Gorilla Tape” then I am wondering what planet you just flew in from. “Gorilla” products are known to most people and I use it for everything. It is most certainly, the single girls best friend.

If you have never used it just buy a roll and try it. The small rolls are really handy. I carry one in my purse for whatever needs fixing.

love this stuff. Anything Gorilla makes. worked for my project, and I always have something to fix / patch. Has many uses. Price was fair as some Gorilla products are over priced, the size is perfect for what I needed.

I purchased this for use in sealing spoked motorcycle rims. This tape is amazing! The engineers at 3M pulled of another great win in the realm of adhesive products. If it can contain 45 psi, it should work for most any sealing job you can throw at it!.

used this tape plus marine adhesive sealant on a spoke motorcycle rim to run tubeless.No loss of air in 500 miles.

I’ve been using 3M 4412N tape for a number of years and there simply is no other product like it. Price was good and delivery was quick.

I used the green tape to mask 4 rooms in a house i had to paint the old classic the ceiling tiles from the 70’s. Two rooms i taped the ceiling trim first, then attached my plastic with another strip directly to the previous applied tape.

The other two rooms i applied the tape and plastic sheeting directly to the trim, with only one layer of tape. I have used frog tape both the green and yellow for years even for this same application and never had trouble.

This time it was a disaster. After applying the first coat on water based primer, when i went back to spray the second coat, 2 rooms had then plastic on the ground cuz the adhesive had apparently failed after being coated with primer.

Keep in mind i made certain the tape was sealed to the trim securely the entire length of the trim, so there would be no bleed, since this was stained trim. I also had cleaned the trim before applying to get any dust off.

Also, where the tape had failed to stay adhered, when attempting to put new tape, it would not stick at all to most of the surface of the trim. I had to use clear packing tape to stick the new protective plastic in place.

I left the other walls that didn’t come off. So i proceeded to spray the second coat. As i was going the green tape started to fail on the walls that were still up after the initial failure, causing overspray to get on a lot of paneling and trim before I realized it had came loose behind me.

As you can imagine, now i have a big mess to try and fix, and it wont be with this tape ever again, this much i promise, cuz it will cost a considerable amount of time and explanation to the owner as to why these issues exist, since they hired me so problems like this didn’t happen.

After the second primer coat was dried, upon returning, almost all green tape and yellow tape I had used had failed and the wall plastic was on the ground when i returned. It made me sick to loose all that time and money in supplies, only to have to do it all again as well as remove primer from 50+ year old paneling and triim without ruining the finish.

Good luck with that, so nothing i have to say is good after this experience. I have used frog tape for years and always recommended it. Never again they changed something in the adhesive and it is inferior to the previous product.

And there is nothing anywhere to alert the consumers of a different product, same package same label. All in all, I lost week of labor and hundreds in supplies due to this mistake. At this point i will have to switch back to 3M, they stepped up their game the last few years after frog tape came along, so hopefully i can depend on their products being consistent in the future.

The world we live in is so pathetic and greed stricken, if there is a product that actually works right or better than expected, never expect it to stay that way, cuz big business or big brother can’t have something that actually only requires one application, one usage, like it should.

Instead they gotta change everything so they can increase sales volume after they “almost” get the job done, but still need more to finish it. Just like modern medicine. No cure, just monthly treatments and more meds to treat the side effects of the others.

I felt a certain ambiguity about painters tape in general – it was better than masking tape but not as good as promised, across the spectrum of brands, just buy whatever is least expensive. So when I started hearing about FrogTape, it was mostly from Pinterest ‘influencers’.

you know, the ones who make you read their 3 generation lineage story to find the paint color used in their home. Where’s Waldo but with word vomit. Anywho, I was just convinced that this green stuff was no better than all the blue brands, just more expensive.

Had a little extra change burning a hole in my pocket in Lowes one day, picked up the green stuff ‘just to prove myself right and all those influencers with the perfect coifs and perfect figures and endless budgets wrong’.

UGHHHHHHHH!! As far as the painters tape market is concerned, in 2022, FrogTape is bullfrog-length leaps and bounds better than the competition. Well worth the price, comparatively. If ya can’t rip it down 9minutes and 59 seconds after applying the last coat, it’s least likely to rip the paint, least likely to rip and leave a green sliver, most likely to not cause anxiety and anger after 27000 hours of shoulder-agonizing rolling paint and wrist-agonizing cutting-in.

Just get the FrogTape!.

I have painted plenty of walls in my life. I have not painted any in quite some time but decided to paint five rooms in my house. I purchased Frogtape for the first time and used it on all my wood trim to prep for painting the walls.

I used my nails to seal it to the trim for a nice tight fit (as I have done with the blue and white tapes in the past) and took it off immediately after painting (working by sections) as I have done (and as instructed on the package) and voila!!!!! Hands down THE BEST painters tape I have ever used!!! There were a few spots of paint on the woodwork as expected.

I don’t expect perfection on anything because of user error (may not have gotten tape right up to wall) and the nature of painting (which can produce bleed etc. ) but with a simple wipe with a damp cloth or cotton swab, I had near perfect results! This tape is by far the most superior painters tape I have ever used and I have already recommended it to friends.

I will never buy another! Thank you for making my life easier and my rooms more beautiful. Bravo Frogtape!.

The product is not what is said in the description. Its not a pop up and you have to build it. Very thin material and lasted 9 hours before it ripped and scratched my car.

If your painting you need automotive grade tape! Doesn’t bleed through and removes easily!

Only bad is don’t get it wet or use it in the sun or it wont come off clean. Also don’t leave it on more then three days or it wont come off clean. In normal day to day body shop use it works great.
