20 Best Teenage Face Cleanser (2022 Updated)

This cleanser has a gel like consistency, it is cooling when you apply. I have used it as a mask and a cleanser. I have used it for several weeks and haven’t noticed a difference in skin improvement.

My skin also didn’t feel clean after using this. I have used this on my bare skin and when I have make up on. If washing off make up, I feel that you should still double cleanse. I read reviews about how this product hasn’t worked on dark spots or discoloration.

I know this product contains niacinamide, however it is a rinse off. It may be worth trying a niacinamide serum. It did slightly dry out my skin, I have pretty dry skin. I always recommend for people to try it out because it might just work for you.

I typically use Youth to the People’s Superfood cleanser but when I ran low on my supply, I thought I’d do a lot of research and find another cruelty free/eco friendly cleanser to try out. I accidentally stumbled upon this brand thanks to Hyram and did hours and hours of research on the brand.

I was pleased by what I had found and decided to purchase a few different products to try. I was nervous because I really did love my last cleanser very much but I was mostly excited to try this more treatment based cleanser.

I have normal skin with slight texture and was interested in the niacinamide as a new addition to my routine. First impressions: I wasn’t sure if this bottle would be plastic or glass but it is in fact plastic.

I try to never purchase anything with plastic so I was disappointed about that. Not the worst of my issues though. Second, this is unscented and which I enjoy. Although, this cleanser smells like hand soap and I just didn’t love that.

After cleansing my skin, I moisturized my skin with my Milk Vegan Milk Moisturizer before laying down for bed. Usually, my moisturizer makes my skin feel so heavily moisturized and comfortable. This time, it completely soaked into my skin and I still felt tight/dry.

I added more. Still felt dry. Moments later, my nose tickled a lot and I thought nothing of it. Soon after that my entire face felt sort of like it was throbbing and itchy. I completely ignored it. My skin looked alright the next morning but I did have one new small blemish in the bridge of my nose.

I felt dry and tingly the rest of the day and after my second use of this cleanser last night, my skin has a tight burning sensation and I have little uncomfortable tingles/tickles that keep popping up all over my face.

I think this brand is interesting and I’m still looking forward to trying the two other products I’m waiting for in the mail but I am certainly confused about why this happened because my skin is completely irritated.

I will go back to using my YTTP superfood cleanser because it made my skin feel supple, bouncy, and never stripped or tight.

I wanted to see if the marketing was true about how amazing this face wash is, and I was very surprised and relieved to find out that it is. It really does have an original feel to it; kinda of like putting on a thicker snail mucin (but not in a gross way.

Lol). It moisturizes great, and leaves my skin feeling very soft, hydrated, and refreshed; not stripped at all. You only need two pumps max to get the desired coverage. I use it in my morning routine before applying my Vitamin-C serum, other antioxidants, and moisturizer, and after adding it for only a short time to my routine, I definitely have brighter complexion.

Nothing but love for this cleanser!.

I have battled with finding the right face wash for my oily skin my whole life. I’ve tried EVERY fad under the sun. Some worked for a very short period, others didn’t work at all. This however, this has been my saving grace.

I can use it as frequently as desired and the effects are always the same. Unlike competitors that you cannot use too often for fear of your skin drying out. This is the perfect combination of moisturising enough to not strip my skin, but not too much so as to make my skin even more oily than normal and acne-combating enough to keep my skin mostly blemish free.

I’m still waiting for it to “stop working” alike so many others did.

I received this product from Superdrug as a member of the Community and Wow! I am honestly so impressed with this cleanser. To tell you the truth I have had a “go to” cleanser for a very long time now, my skin is quite erratic and likes to break out a lot! When I finally found a cleanser that kept the breakouts at bay I swore I wouldn’t change but let me tell you I shall be! This cleanser has so many excellent points, it’s fragrance free, gentle, clear formulae, foaming without stripping your skin of its essential oils, it’s smoothing whilst also fighting acne, de-clogging and refreshing.

Whilst it is aimed for acne prone skin, it does still leave your skin looking bright and hydrating which is usually such a hard thing to achieve but wow does this cleanser do it! It’s my new go to cleanser 100% I cannot recommend it enough, I had heard so much hype about Starface as a brand and having never tried them before I didn’t understand why, but now I fully get it! Please try this!.

I recently purchased this product from target and was IMPRESSED. I use this foaming facial cleanser as part of my double cleanse product. I start with oil cleanser, then follow up with this foaming cleanser.

The packaging is KAWAII. I mean, I just love how this looks in my cabinet. But the product itself is great. Super clean ingredients, no scent. This truly washes away all the leftover dirt and debris the oil cleanser misses.

This leaves a great canvas for the rest of my skincare routine. Such a rockstar product. I will continue to buy this product. I am reading that this product has willow bark extract which makes SO much sense.

My skin is SQUEAKY clean. I do encourage QUICKLY using a hydrator/serum immediately after cleansing as this could leave your skin tight if you’re on the dryer side. Would recommend for anyone.

I received my Wash It Out gel cleanser on 4/5/22 and started using it immediately, morning and night, to cleanse my sensitive skin. I absolutely love how gentle this cleansing gel is and how clean and fresh, but never stripped or tight, my face feels after using it.

However, I read through the Wash It Out description on this site and nowhere did it warn me for what I would come to learn the hard way… you see, most days I don’t wear any makeup at all, so the cleanser was simply washing away oils and impurities from my skin.

But, one day I put a bit of makeup on (just foundation, cream blush and waterproof mascara, as that’s the extent of my makeup routine) and when it came time to wash my face with this cleanser that night, it removed all traces of my makeup except it didn’t remove even the slightest bit of the waterproof mascara I was wearing.

I was so frustrated because this gel cleanser states in its description on this site that it is “eye safe” which I incorrectly assumed meant it would remove mascara just like every other brand of facial cleanser I’ve ever used until now.

I contacted Versed customer service and was told that no, in fact this gel cleanser is not meant to be used to wash away any type of makeup and that I would need to “double cleanse” my face in order to remove makeup by buying yet another Versed product to be used in conjunction with the Wash It Out gel cleanser.

I feel that my beloved Versed skincare company was not transparent in their marketing of this particular cleanser and needs to clearly state on all of the marketing materials that this wonderful gel cleanser will not remove makeup and therefore you are forced to also buy another cleansing product in order to “double cleanse” to remove your makeup.

I mean, I’ve never even heard of “double cleansing” before this and expect that when I buy a facial cleanser that is marketed to remove oils and other impurities from the skin that makeup falls into the category of “other impurities.

” I refuse to fall into this trap set to sell more products and have been using another brand’s oil eye makeup remover I already had which Wash It Out cleanses off completely without any need to buy even more products as a ridiculous marketing ploy.

Overall, it’s a wonderful and gentle gel cleanser. Just not if you’re trying to cleanse makeup off.

Since I’ve gotten into the world of skincare, sampling new skincare products is one of my absolute favorite things to do. It’s one of the first things that I do when I wake up in the morning. I’ve sampled TONS of products by a lot of different brands now.

A “drugstore” brand that I have definitely been really impressed by, is CeraVe. The more products of theirs that I use, the more that I like the brand. Recently I’ve really been struggling with some pretty bad acne on my chin and around my mouth, so when I found a sample of their Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser I was relieved.

In the short amount of time that I’ve been using this cleanser, it’s been helping to clear up my face quite a bit. Now, although this is called a “foaming” cleanser, I’ve found that it doesn’t really foam up that much.

Nor was it that “creamy” either. It has more of a regular face wash consistency, or like hand soap, and seems to lather a little like soap in your hands. This doesn’t mean that it doesn’t work though.

It contains 4% Benzoyl Peroxide, so it has really helped to clear up my acne. When I say acne, I must clarify too, that I mean multiple, multiple, huge, painful, red spots all along my chin and around my mouth.

There were also a few regular pimples as well that are all but cleared up with only a few uses. Surprisingly, this cleanser made my skin feel very soft. It did not dry out my skin like a lot of other acne cleansers can tend to.

My skin also feels much smoother and perfectly balanced. It does not feel greasy or oily during the day. My face felt calm and soothed after using it, also a surprising feeling to have after using an acne wash.

my dermatologist recommended this to me (that’s how u know it’s good lol). i have hormonal cystic acne, redness and dryness prone skin. my skin is very sensitive from doing topical retinoids in the past, so there’s not a whole lot that doesn’t irritate my skin.

ESPECIALLY acne-geared products. a lot are way too harsh for my skin; but obvi integral to my skincare routine to help w the cystic hormonal acne. i find that this is the only acne wash that doesn’t irritate my skin or make it feel overly dry.

i feel like my skin is never flakey after using like w other benzoyl peroxide products. surprisingly very gentle and while my acne is, again, hormone related as opposed to external factors; so it doesn’t make it magically all go away and it’s not like i never get additional acne.

but i would say 100% this helps keep it at bay and improves acne that i already have. i would say if u have acne prone skin you’ll probably want some sort of topical to use in addition to this, bc yes it does work very well for what it is AND the price point, but like i said it’s not gonna be a cure-all (more than likely, obvi everyone’s skin is diff).

i will say i can’t use this every day though. it’s more of a twice or three times a week type cleanser (for me anyways!), otherwise it would dry out my skin. also i get body acne and i sometimes use this as a body wash as well and find that it works wonders for that too.

makes both your face and body skin feel soft and cleansed without the tightness or feeling like your skin is stripped. just purchased my third bottle, would def say this is a staple in my skincare routine,.

This stuff actually works! I’ll preface this review by saying I have suffered with acne off and on since my teens. Closed comedones, whiteheads and blackheads. This stuff is a literal dream! I always have a bad reaction to SA and I think that may be an issue for a lot of people who think a face wash doesn’t work or breaks them out worse.

This has benzoyl peroxide at a whopping 4% which is higher than any other OTC wash. A little goes a long way. I’ve been suffering from a breakout and bad reaction to another wash and moisturizer so I scoured the web and Influenster looking for something that would work for me.

I took a chance and bought this. I’m speechless. I washed my face mid day, and that evening I looked in the mirror and my acne flare up had already significantly reduced. Used it again before bed, and I woke up without any new acne and my acne from the day before was almost non exsistent.

For $20 this is a now I can’t possibly live without it! I pair this with the cerave night moisturizer cream and my face is about two days away from being instagram worthy (without the makeup!) I don’t like to hype products I don’t feel strongly about but I would go to bat for this.

It emulsifies somewhat but not as well as some other cleansing balms/oils. I like that it’s fragrance free but there is a slight scent from the ingredients. This hasn’t caused any irritation to my skin and leaves my skin feeling hydrated/moisturized.

Skin always feels soft after every use and not tight. It does remove light coverage makeup up but find that it doesn’t completely remove my spf and leaves behind a slight film on my skin. If you have acne prone skin I would would definitely use this as a first cleanse only.

I will say half the tube fills like air, which is disappointing. To be honest I’m not real sure how I feel about it, don’t really see the hype. Worth a shot to try for all skin types. It’s marketed as a makeup remover but I wouldn’t use to remove eye makeup.

I have sensitive, acne prone, combination type skin and have always struggled with finding a good cleanser. Anyone in a similar boat knows how hard it is to balance a cleanser that cleans your skin effectively, is non-irritating to acne, but won’t strip your skin and leave it dry and flaky.

For a long time, I was super hooked on my Youth To The People Superfood Cleanser, but the price tag made my wallet cry. Now, my wallet is crying happy tears over the sheer amount of money I’m saving with this brand and my skin has never retained so much moisture.

This cleanser is a little bit different than others, in the sense that it’s more like a cleansing balm. I think a lot of the negative reviews are from people who may just not be using it correctly. It starts out as a cream and becomes an oil that gently oil cleanses your skin, once dampening your face, it becomes this intensely hydrating milky texture that you then rinse off.

I’ve never had my skin retain so much moisture before, and my skin doesn’t feel dry or tight afterwards at all. I’m absolutely aghast at how underrated this product is, especially for the price. I love to pair this with other The Ordinary products, specifically their 10% Niacinamide Serum, their 2% Salicylic Acid Masque, Glycolic Toner, and Natural Hydrating Factors + HA moisturizer.

Their products have transformed my skin in just a few days, and have really helped me recover from a particularly bad break out. Seriously, this brand and their products deserve more recognition.

Cleansers aren’t a 1 size fits all, but I fell in love with this brand after trying their zinc serum & peeling masks (which, paired with my ‘clean & clear gel cleanser,’ completely fixed my oil & texture problem!), so I was excited to give this a try too.

However, I suppose this isn’t for people who, like me, are recommended to using “gel-like consistency” for their dry skin [via their esthetician]. After immediate use of this product, my forehead still felt clogged and textured, and oil production was visible on my nose just seconds after.

I woke up feeling especially congested, and chose to give this product a 2nd try – this time doubling the amount, and taking more time heating it up and massaging it in. *This was also on my ‘ordinary AHA/BHA exfoliation mask morning’, so I was curious if that would make a positive difference.

However, the results were the same, even with the mask that I swear by. I will be going back to my old drug store cleanser and just enjoying pairing it with the Ordinary serums and masks instead. **The BENEFIT however: was that on the small dermatitis patches I’d developed from wearing/reusing n95 masks 8 hours long every day, are now A LOT less flakier.

I’m not sure if it’s thanks to this cleanser, or the +HA Ordinary moisturizer, but I will keep this regime only for the perioral area until it’s fully treated, and my drug store cleanser for the rest.

Glad I got the minis!.

I was hesitant to buy this because I was worried it wouldn’t clean well or that it would just be a basic boring and drying foam cleanser. Boy, was I wrong. This has such a wonderful rich, creamy lather that spreads well over the skin without a need to add another pump.

One pump cleans my whole face. It thoroughly cleanses my face as well, I had a tiny (it was unnoticeable unless you got close to me) pimple above my lip, and I literally felt it wash away using this.

It was there before I washed my face, and I felt it when I started to wash my face, and suddenly it was gone! I am amazed with this face wash and I will never use another one because this is perfect for me.

I won’t say it leaves me feeling “hydrated” as some other reviewers say, but it leaves me feeling clean but not overly stripped. I follow with my serum and Cerave lotion and I’m good to go! I’m still in awe over the lather lol.

If you’re confused about what cleanser you need and have combo skin, I recommend giving this a try.

If you have this or have tried this and it didn’t foam up enough, try adding a bit more water next time or wet the hand that doesn’t have product on it then rub your hands together until you have the desired lather.

I have struggled with acne for as long as I can remember and have tried just about anything. My acne seems to come and go, and even the slightest inconvenience makes me break out. I have been using the Neutrogena Clear Pore facial cleanser for a year and a half.

This cleanser seems to keep my acne at bay but it can also make my skin feel tight and dry sometimes. It also made me purge for 3 months straight when I first began using it. Not fun. Anyways, I’ve seen and heard praises about the Cerave Foaming Facial Cleanser on Amazon, Google, Reddit, YouTube, TikTok, etc.

I decided to give it a go having high hopes because everyone else loves it. I will say that this cleanser made my skin soft, moisturized, and it foamed really nicely. But those were about the only things going for it.

Within two weeks I had small milia-like whiteheads all over my forehead and eyelids which has never happened with other cleansers before. My skin was oily constantly and my acne was rearing its ugly head with a vengeance.

I thought maybe it’s just acclimating to this new cleanser. I managed to keep up with this for a month before I booted it and went back to the Clear Pore cleanser. My skin calmed down within two weeks and the whiteheads disappeared.

Obviously this cleanser works wonders for other people but in my experience, I will not be using again.

this does make my face feel very clean but often dry afterwards (i use tretinoin most nights though so my skin is already easily stripped), it’s never made me breakout and has kept any acne from flaring up.

a little goes a long way, literally a pea sized drop will lather your whole face (not if you’re wearing eye makeup though). it is an amazing cleanser to use after getting sweaty or dirty and that’s the best thing i have to say.

i use waterproof mascara and this does remove it but i have to rub too much for my liking, and sometimes it makes my eyelashes clump together if i don’t use enough. my under eyes are irritated from the friction and it always feels like there’s some mascara left behind, i can’t rub my eyes without feeling like i’m tugging on my lashes.

it gets the makeup off, but not before it dries out my eyelashes and under eyes from having to rub so much. i use banila cleansing balm mainly for my eyes, then i double cleanse with this after just to use it up.

i won’t be buying again though, pyunkang yul’s low ph deep pore cleansing foam is my holy grail and i’ll be sticking to that. i bought it off ohlolly for like $14 and removes my waterproof mascara just as well as banila’s balm does, and it’s even better because it doesn’t leave my eyes foggy like the banila balm.

definitely try pyunkang yul or even banila over this if you’re looking for a waterproof makeup remover and cleanser that is truly gentle.

TLDR : 20 y/o ulta employee who recently discovered her current skincare brand wasn’t cruelty free and realized she had to begin on another skincare journey. I had been using La Roche Posay’s AP lipkar foaming wash and it was fantastic ! But : I had no idea they were owned by L’Oréal, who as a brand, is very not cruelty free.

I would like to mention some very very important things as to why I was completely devastated by this news : I’m allergic to literally everything, and I had finally found a face wash that I wasn’t allergic to.

I’m allergic to fragrance, rubbing alcohols, any kind of fruit extracts. Legitimately even a little bit of these ingredients causes me a full hive break out that leaves me with small, raised red bumps that scar by the end of the day and don’t disappear for upwards of a month.

I have atopic/contact dermatitis, and I wear long sleeves and closed chest shirts year round specifically just because I am so contact sensitive, especially around my neck/chest/shoulders. Anyways, with all of this being said, I was absolutely blown away by the fact that this not only worked, but it worked AMAZING.

i used this all throughout college and it was the BEST thing ever. i recent switched to cleansing balms because i wanted to try something new and better for travels. PROS: your makeup doesn’t stand a chance against this 1-2 pumps removed all waterproof makeup.

you can have multiple layers caked on and the strongest matte lip or eyeliner — this will take it away clean feeling afterward EVERY time CONS: traveling with this was a nightmare — you cant twist the pump closed without pushing the pump down and letting product out.

ended up putting it in travel containers, but i’m not a fan of doing so it does feel a little bit stripping, but not excessively so. i do have a thorough skincare regime that i follow to bring back moisture, though had a tough battle vs Lancome waterproof mascaras.

i did have to massage my lashes a bit. this does not melt away makeup fast like oil-based cleansers and removers do, so don’t expect that! my reason to switch to balms was because i wanted to do a little less rubbing on my face and have something easier to pack.

however, this is SUCH a solid product! i love it so much and keep some as backup.

I have been using this for 18yrs and still going strong! I was using the typical “teenager” brands prior to this and when living with a couple friends just out of high school, I ran out of my usual face wash.

One of my friends had this and let me use it and I have been hooked since. I have combination skin, leaning more towards oily. In winter, things get crazy dry including my skin. The rest of my body is itchy if I don’t use lotion but if I don’t put lotion on my face one day, it still feels and looks just fine.

This face wash is perfection. I noticed there was a slight formula/fragrance change a couple years ago and got nervous it wouldn’t work well for me anymore but thankfully it is. I’m starting to have a hard time finding this in stores however and have started.

Please please please do not discontinue this product!!.

For a face cleanser this one is pretty good especially that I can find it online or in my near store for a reasonable price. Compared to other more expensive cleansers that I have used in the past, this Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser actually works the same or even better.

To start I really love the texture of the cleanser. It’s a gel cream consistency to me that is not too heavy so when I go to message my face to clean it, it gives me a nice foamy action to help me out.

I love that while doing this, it doesn’t dry out my face. It actually gives it a nice glow and brightening action when am done. And what is best is that I can use it for every day cleanse but also to remove my makeup.

It is actually a makeup remover and cleanser in one. It even removes my waterproof makeup. What more can we ask for, right. All like I said without drying out my skin. Easy to use and doesn’t sting as well.

To begin with, I’d like to tell you that my skin is combination, with the first signs of aging (I’m 31 years old), I’m a woman, and I don’t have acne problems. In my opinion, this gel is gentle enough to use both day and night.

One of the things that caught my attention is that, although it is called a foaming gel, it does not foam very much. The texture is very light, the liquid is transparent in color and completely odorless of any kind.

I don’t apply it directly to the eyes, but if a little product gets in, it doesn’t cause irritation. It is much smoother than I expected. This CeraVe cleanser compared to others, such as Bioderma, I find it much softer.

I wonder how effective it will be for really oily skin. When using it I notice that it does not leave my skin completely tight, as it happens with other gels. One of the benefits of this CeraVe Foaming Cleansing Gel is that it is also suitable for use on the body.

And for the price it has, there is nothing wrong with using a greater amount of product. I like this because if necessary, I can take a single product with me on the trip and I can use it for both the face and the body.

Or, for example, if I don’t want to carry a lot of products in my gym bag. In general, it seems to me a fairly soft gel, considering that it is for oily and combination skin. It fulfills its function and does not give me any type of reaction.

But, as I say, I don’t know to what extent it works for younger skin or true oil or shine problems on the face. Anyway, I hope that my opinion about the CeraVe foaming cleansing gel has helped you a little to decide if you are considering buying the product.

To preface, I am a 19yo female with normal skin, leaning more dry in the winter and oily in the summer. I’m also acne prone and have recently finished six months of acne medication. I’ve been through several 16oz bottles (before and during treatment) and will continue to use it as long as CeraVe keeps making it! This cleanser is fantastic at removing my makeup and cleansing my skin! To remove my makeup, I take 2-3 pumps and massage it onto my face (dry, without water) before rinsing it off.

This cleanser removes everything, including mascara, and I do my second cleanse using 1-2 more pumps on wet skin. If I’m not wearing makeup, I massage this cleanser onto my wet or dry face before rinsing it off.

I always feel perfectly clean after using this cleanser. I never feel like it didn’t do enough, and I also never tight/dry/stripped. Also, unlike many makeup-removing cleansers, this NEVER leaves behind a residue after rinsing! It has has never caused a breakout, rash, or any kind of reaction.

This cleanser is basic in a good way. It removes all makeup without leaving a residue, leaves the skin clean without being stripped, and is drugstore pricing. No unnecessary bells and whistles! HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone and everyone looking for a classic cleanser!.

So I actually bought a bottle of this cleanser the day before I received this sample on the mail and I fell in love with first use. It is everything I want a face wash to be. It has a nice creamy consistency right out the bottle and for me it creates a beautiful luxurious type lather.

I see a lot of people saying it doesn’t suds up for them but I think you just have to use enough. It’s very moisturizing my face never feels tight or dry after but it does feel clean. I am someone who usually double cleanses when wearing makeup so I am not sure how it removes makeup on its own but just the texture of it I think it would do a pretty good job.

To me the consistency reminds me of a face wash I used to use long time ago called Neutrogena naturals fresh cleansing plus makeup remover so if you have ever used that then you would know the consistency I’m talking about.

I can’t get enough of this product I have 2 bottles as backup. I hope they never stop making this face wash it’s my all time favorite! Even for days not wearing makeup it’s an amazing face wash that cleans but doesn’t make your face feel like it’s being sucked of moisture.

This cleanser is beautiful. There are a lot of comments in regards to the new formula being worse than the old, that has not been my experience. I have always had dry skin and was previously using the CeraVe hydrating cleanser; however, I recently developed perioral dermatitis and my Dr.

recommended this cleanser in conjunction with a topical prescription. From the first use this cleanser alleviated all the dryness and irritation I’ve experienced. It was the first time in months that I have felt any relief.

It leaves the skin clean but hydrated. One note, this WILL NOT clean off makeup or sunscreen. You will need to use a cleansing oil, balm, or micellar water prior to using this cleanser to remove any makeup.

I use Banila Co. clean it zero cleansing balm. For those that have experienced negative side affects due to the new formulation I’d suggest the Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser. It didn’t work for me but has worked wonders for my younger sister (her skin is more sensitive than mine) and is at a similar price point to this product.

I’m also using the Cetaphil moisturizing lotion along with this cleanser and they pair very well together. If you need reviews for other products to help alleviate skin issues you may be experiencing, Dr.

Dray, a board certified dermatologist on YouTube, has TONS of unbiased reviews that may help you find what you’re looking for. I’d also suggest going to a dermatologist if that is feasible for you; though I realize, with insurance being what it is, it may not be for many.

Over the last few months my skin has been breaking out so bad. I was embarrassed and felt shameful about it, I would absolutely hate going out without makeup or wearing a mask. In my area, the mask mandate has been lifted and now when I wear one I feel so awkward.

I went to Costco and saw they had this on sale, after trying nearly everything for my face, both natural remedies and bottled washes/ointments, I was feeling like my face was just getting worse/no improvement at all I figured I would give it a try.

I was a little put off by the consistency as it’s not something you typically get when buying a face wash. It almost feels like you’re just putting a very thin and watery lotion (which I don’t mind at all, actually love it) on your face.

After the first, YES the FIRST night using it, I woke up and could already visibly see a different. My poor scabbed over face was soft and the redness almost completely gone. I tried it both ways, completely rinsing my face and then just wiping it away.

Either way it’s been doing wonders! I’ll wash my face in the shower at night, and then in the morning in the sink. Hot water to start, then massage and rinse with cold water and dab a towel. I’ve been using it for just about a week and my face is almost completely clear! It feels soft and I can definitely tell my face is much more hydrated and happy.

And I’m happy! Acne and scaring can be such a difficult thing to cope with. I’m definitely calling this a life saver!!!! And for the price, its more than perfect! Finding an affordable face wash/treatment is extremely hard especially having to go through spending so much to find the right one.

I thought I’d try the Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser after hearing lots of good things about it online. I must admit I was dubious as to how much it would actually do for me but I must admit, even from the very first use, this combined with The Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid Serum, I could feel a difference in my skin especially in the centre of my face.

I have combination skin these days so around my nose tends to get very dry and my cheeks were starting to feel like they were being stripped by my old cleanser, which is designed more for oily skin. I only need a pump or two of the cleanser to do my whole face and it has a very creamy, milky texture.

It doesn’t feel like it’s doing alot whilst you’re using it, which I guess is a downside for me, as I like to instantly feel like something is working. However, as soon as I wash it off and apply my serum my skin really, really does feel baby soft and much more hydrated than before.

At the moment I’m using it only once a day until my old cleanser has finished. I can only hope that my skin will keep responding to it for a long time to come yet. I brought the 473ml bottle when it was on offer for around £9.

99 but I already know it’s going to last me absolutely ages, so it’s definitely worth it’s very reasonable price point. Give it a try, hopefully it’ll live up to the hype for you too.

I’ve been always looking for a product that could help my acne prone skin and I was so thankful that I discover this product of COSRX-Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser. I’ve been using this product for days and it really mild and gentle to my face.

The fragrance is not strong and I love the smell i smells so natural. The consistency of this foam cleanser is really great thats what I really love the most of this product. You don’t need to squeeze a lot of the cleanser because just a small portion it really foams well that would cover into your whole face.

I heard so many good things about this by some youtubers who really are into skin care, and it seems everyone loves CosRX products. I bought this to help reduce my pore size. I have tried many, many cleansers, most containing 2% salicylic acid we no problems at all.

I can’t find a reason as to why this dries my skin out so bad. I am using it once every other day, hoping that my skin will adjust to it, but right now, it feels like it is stripping my skin of all oils, which I would think would be great, sense my skin is so oily.

First product ever to dry my skin out like that. I initially thought that this cleanser was ineffectual, but, this cleanser has actually done my skin wonders. Before using it, I would get several large pimples (not terribly bad, but annoying acne nonetheless) every week, and I would constantly be annoyed by some kind of acne flareup during the week — but once I started using this cleanser, I haven’t gotten any so far! I still get small pimples, but definitely not as many and definitely not the same intensity as before.

I believe that using this every morning has definitely contributed to my clearer skin and I highly recommend it. I use around a 1/2 inch long squeeze from the tube and rub it between my fingertips until it foams/lathers up into a nice amount of bubbles and then apply it to my face in swirling circular motions.

Unlike most other cleansers I’ve used, the CosRx Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Cleanser does not feel drying after washing it off, my face feels clean, but not stripped. As for the exfoliation part, it is a chemical exfoliation but it is very mild and gentle, not harsh.

this helped me a lot. I don’t have acne and never did, however, using this together with the other products of the bentone snail line helped me to get my mixed skin and recurring pimples under control.

It is really great to keep me from touching my face or scratching any pimple I might have open, because I always think about the money I invested in these products and that they will only help my skin regenerate and look more plump and fresh when I do not damage my skin.

It was also a help with fading some scars I had because my skin heals really slowly and I would always have darker spots in places where I scratched or where a pimple had appeared. I frequently re buy this line when my products are about to empty, and when I cannot get them on yesstyle in time I revert to othet websites.

It is however a little drying and totally strips my skin of its oil, so I only use it in the evening and never skip the rest of my skincare, since my skin starts to itch because of the dryness if I do.

I still like the product a lot though, since it is otherwise rather gentle.

I’ve never been a person too brand loyal for facial cleansers, I’d probably just keep buying whatever was on sale or whatever I saw in the drugstore if not for this. I got a little one as a gift three years ago and have never loved a cleanser as much since.

I bought the bigger size and it lasts forever! It makes my skin feel nice and I think it does a good job of removing makeup, even though I also use a remover with it. I don’t break out as much now that I have this + my skincare routine.

It feels luxurious too and you can’t top that! Like a mini spa feeling in my day.

I am impressed with this foaming face wash. I always have an issue with my pores. I even went for the dermapen treatment, and I stopped it after completing my session – I could not bear the pain. Then I try this Calendula Deep Cleansing Form.

Previously I used Ultra Facial Oil-Free; however, the effect is not the same. When I used this Calendula, I could feel my face was clean, and it was easy to remove the whitehead. At first, I thought it would make my skin dry.

Surprisingly it is not dry at all.

I was so excited to try this product, yet after the first time of using it, I knew it was not for me. If I had not spent the pandemic watching dermatologists and skin care enthusiasts online I may not have known what I know now about how your skin should feel after washing, and the way this cleanser leaves me skin is not right.

My skin is literally squeaky clean, as in, it actually squeaked as I washed it. I like that the packaging is simple and clean, but it also looks a little cheap and not as premium as it is. On using the cleanser foam for the first time I was already unsure about the texture as I moved it around on my hands, but I gave it a go and even though I knew I didn’t like it, I gave it a fair go.

When moving it in circular motions around my face it did feel smooth and leave my skin feeling soft, but I found it difficult to dissolve from my skin and I felt that I almost had a film over my face for the first of the morning.

I think it did an okay job of removing minimal make-up but not so good at removing full nighttime glam make-up. It just smeared it across my face. I also really didn’t like the scent. It just smelt a bit ‘off’.

I wouldn’t purchase it myself, nor would I recommend it. It reminds me of something I would have used when I first started using skincare as a teenager. I think there are much better products on the market for the same price.

I have combination skin, oily T zone and dry normal/dry skin everywhere else. I’m very prone to hyperpigmentation when I break out and it always takes a while to go away. Given. I have had this wash for a bit over 2 weeks and I HATE it.

My skin hates it and it feels horrible once washed off. Not only that but it makes me break out with under the skin cyst like acne. The wash also feels super cheap, like if you’re using a Spring bar of soap on your face.

It leaves a white cast and thin residue, no matter hard much you rinse or emulsify before placing on your skin. A little product does go a long way and for the size given, that may be a good value. However, I will not be purchasing this in the future at all.

Now, I have to spend money on products that will help me get rid of the skin issues this wash has caused. Nothing else changed in my routine, just the cleanser. So I know that’s what has been drying my face, making it look dull and flaky, plus my other products don’t seem to be absorbing well after using this.

The moment I go back to my YOTP cleanser, my face looks normal and my products actually absorb. Stay away from this.

I enjoyed washing my face with this product. It has a fresh almost minty scent. It goes on very creamy which feels nice and then lathers in a froth. When I rinsed it off, my skin felt a bit firm. I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing.

Let me preface by saying I am mid-forties, I live in Wisconsin and I have terribly sensitive skin. Usually this time of year my face is red, chapped irritated and miserable. I have spent fistfuls of dollars on products that claimed to produce the same results for half the amount I received.

I have bought organic products with the same ingredients, and did not do what Ursa Major does. Within 3 days my skin was completely transformed. The face wash comes in a huge bottle. It will take me months to get through.

It smells fantastic. They say leave on for 30 to 60 seconds for exfoliation and really, it works. My skin feels clean and tingly. Then I put on the golden hour recovery cream. My face never broke out like it usually does.

This stuff is pure magic! I will be using nothing else for years to come.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS. I know i may sound nuts but hear me out. I first got this product as a sample for free along with one of my previous orders. I started washing my face with it and was overjoyed, i looked great! keep in mind i was careful to not use any actives, no vitamin C, no retinol, etc, etc.

I do this whenever i try new products so i know objectively whether they work or they are just reacting to to other products on my face. I have always had pretty tough skin, i mean no matter what i put on it im usaully good, no redness no irritation.

ON DAY 4 of using this product, i had the worst breakout IN MY LIFE. i have never had hormonal or cystic acne before, and maybe even on my worse days i had one very small pimple, overall pretty balanced skin.

so not only did i get the worst red irritated pimples and bumps in my life, my skin barrier was completely gone. When i even washed my face with just water after using this product it burned terribly.

i have been trying to recover it for the last couple of weeks but i still have terrible sensitivity and irritation. On top of that my face is so itchy. This product pretty much permanently messed up my skin barrier, its going to be a while before i can go back to using anything but a simple moisturizer.

DO NOT USE. this will permanently mess things up. I’m in so much pain! note (I’m not really allergic to anything, I’ve tried a wide variety of skin care products and I’m always fine).

This last order I purchased the fantastic face wash and golden hour recovery cream. I had tried a sample of the fantastic face wash I received from a previous order and fell in love with it. My face felt clean and not dry or greasy after using it and the golden hour recovery cream it moisturized my face and did not feel creasy or leave me with large pores.

It also lightened the dark age spots and sun spots. Love the products. I know what my next order will include. Best part it is fantastic because I have extremely sensitive skin and allergies that it is hard to find something I can use.

I have tried many of Youth to the People’s other products and liked them all, so I bought the full size of this assuming I would like it also–and if I didn’t, well, it’s a wash-off product, so I could use it up and then switch to something else with little harm done.

Big mistake. My skin is pretty resilient–in fact, I can’t remember the last time a product caused a reaction like this–but the Superfood Cleanser gave me a bad case of contact dermatitis. I had scaly, dry patches above and at the corners of my eyes, my eyes themselves were irritated, and I had an itchy rash on my chin and around my nose.

It had to be caused by this product, because I introduced nothing else new to my routine. I have to wonder if some of the people in the reviews who say this broke them out also were suffering from contact dermatitis, since sometimes it looks like little whitehead pimples.

After a few days of using cortisone cream, my previous First Aid Beauty cleanser, and Cerave and Skinfix moisturizers, my skin is finally doing better, but I feel far more wary about Youth to the People as a brand now.

I normally steer away from fragranced products like those by YTP and am put off by brands attempting to make money by using trendy but meaningless terms like “superfood,” but I gave their products a try because I appreciated the mostly glass packaging, which is more recyclable than plastic.

I will use up the YTP products I already own but will think again before buying more.

Core ingredients are cold-pressed antioxidants from Kale, Spinach, and Green Tea. Other notables are Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Aloe, and Chamomile extract. Note that fragrance and colorant are present at the bottom of list.

The scent reminds me of the concoction I used to make when I was a kid – different plants I can find at home plus baby oil. Lol. I’m trying to find articles about Kale and Spinach in skincare, but can’t find one that would somehow shed some light if it can really do anything if added to cleansers.

All I can say about this is get it in my hands! My skincare journey has not been an easy one, and I’m always struggling to keep my skin in it’s best shape possible. Let’s be honest, we all struggle with this, right? Well, my skin is combination skin and I find it that if I use a moisturizing cleanser, my skin is so oily!!! Switch it up, to a cleanser for oily skin, and my skin is SO dehydrated! Yet this cleanser is my holy grail to anyone struggling with any skin troubles.

I’ll start with technicalities of the bottle design. Few people say they have troubles with the bottle leaking, now I’ll let you in on a little something… it’s very unlikely for that to actually happen.

I mean, there’s so many people that it hasn’t happen to. Don’t let that be the reason you don’t buy it. The design is really smart actually. It looks very nice sitting on the counter, and one pump is the perfect amount to completely wash your face nicely! Now, for the actual cleansing.

It is so amazing. I love to have a cleanser that you can feel clean your face, but not strip your skin of any oils. This is great as long as you throw on a moisturizer on after (as you already should be doing), so I can’t complain about it drying your skin.

Also, it really gets in your pores and sucks out all that dirt and leaves your skin feeling neither dry nor oily. This honestly is the best cleanser I’ve ever used and I’ve used too many to count. Something else people comment on is the smell and I don’t know why? The smell is so pleasantly clean and natural, not irritating or fragrance heavy.

I honestly love every aspect of it. The glass bottle is so nice, the smell is lovely, and it not only works but it preforms BETTER than other cleansers. The price is justified as it will last, so if you’re considering purchasing this product I hope it’s no longer a question.

I am 31 years old- have had all kinds of acne throughout my life without it being “severe” but enough of a nuisance to knock down your confidence. I’ve been on birth control, had on and off cystic acne without it.

I use IsClinical Products and have used gentle cleansers as my skin can be sensitive. However, I told my Aesthetician that I did not feel like the gentle cleanser “cut through” enough. She suggested this cleanser and I have fallen IN LOVE! i use it twice a day and it does not dry out my skin.

When there is a small break out- if i’m patient and consistent with a few washes, it is clearing up. I would consider my skin to be combination (oily in summer and can be very dry in the winter). This couples very nicely with my other Is Clinical Products!.

This is a WONDERFUL cleanser and will probably be my new “holy grail”. It’s a soft, foaming gel that is gentle and never makes my face feel dry or irritated. I usually let it sit for about thirty seconds or so, before rinsing it off, giving the actives a chance to really work their magic.

It has a slight cooling sensation, which I always enjoy. I HIGHLY recommend this cleanser for people with oily and/or blemish-prone skin. Sometimes, I’ll use this cleanser on my back to treat the breakouts that I get back there from time to time.

I recently learned that this cleanser is also designed to also be used on the scalp as an exfoliating treatment, which is very interesting!.

I am a great fan of Epionce Skin Care, and this gel cleanser has made a huge difference in my blemish-prone and sensitive skin. I have been using this cleanser for several months, and combined with the Epionce Lytic Plus Tx which I apply after cleansing, my complexion has cleared and improved dramatically.

This cleanser works into a light lather which lightly tingles as I massage it into my skin. This product has really cleared my blemishes, and the Lytic Plus Tx, which I apply afterwards, has also significantly enhanced the condition and appearance of my complexion.

I am, indeed, a very happy customer.

Recently, I have noticed I’ve been experiencing a lot of skin congestion and breakouts especially in my chin area. I recently came off of a strict diet so I attribute these skin issues due to that. I have a few Murad products that I alternate into my routine and being that I’ve only had positive results with the line, I ultimately chose this cleanser to combat said issues.

I love that you do not need much of this gel cleanser to thoroughly clean your face. A little truly goes a long way. You do immediately get a tingling/cooling sensation when using this cleanser but I have not found it to irritate my sensitive skin at all.

No adverse reactions whatsoever. My skin absolutely did purge after use in the beginning. It seemed like I was waking up to a new breakout every morning, however, about two weeks into using this every morning, my skin not only cleared up but this helped clear out the skin congestion.

Overall, it does work. I’ve been using it a little less now, mostly when my skin starts to feel congested again or during that time of the month and this helps keep all those issues at bay.

I started using this product last week because I noticed a few hormonal breakouts. I had a sample from a subscription so I thought why not give it a try? I only used it maybe 3 times at night and my face had broken out soooo bad from it.

I have combination skin because I have seborrhea and eczema. My skin is super dry in some parts and super oily in other parts but with both of those dermatitis’ it makes my skin pretty sensitive. I should have done some research before using this cleanser because now my skin looks like I just hit puberty.

My face has NEVER broken out this bad before and it seems like I just keep getting more and more cystic looking acne bumps as the day goes on. I definitely do not recommend this to anyone who has sensitive skin because my skin is also getting really dry, flaky, and itchy.

Not sure why it made me break out so much though. Do your research before you use it.

I have struggled with acne and oily skin my whole life, I’ve tried multiple products from multiple brands and I’ve had multiple bad experiences with quite a few products and this is definitely one of them – I’ve always heard amazing things about Murad and when I saw this I just had to grab it and I do love a few of their other products from other lines! This cleanser came in a acne set which also came with a mattifier SPF and a acne controlling lotion and the whole line for me was a no-no.

My skin became SUPER irritated while using these products. The cleanser burned my skin as soon as I started applying it, especially closer to my nose/eye area. The acne control product did nothing for my acne but left my skin red and sensitive and I have never been one to have sensitive skin.

The SPF went through the same path, I tried it for a few days to see if maybe it was just a bad first impression but it did the same for my skin and also made it sensitive to the point where it would hurt to wash it off.

I do believe it was bad luck sadly because like mention I’ve had Murad products that I’ve liked before but I wouldn’t recommend this line/product at all.

This is by far the best cleanser I have ever used. And I have tried A LOT. Mostly drugstore brands like Clean & Clear, St. Ives etc. I use this cleanser every day usually once in the morning and once before bed.

I follow it up with the Keep Your Balance Toner and the Holy Hydration Fragrance Free Cream. This has changed my skin for the better. I have combination skin, usually pretty dry but in my T zone it’s oily.

This is such a lightly purifying cleanser that is not harsh on the skin. This line is my favourite and forever go too. Highly recommend. The only thing I would change is the packaging. I wish they had a bigger size or at least a pump for it.

I tend to rotate a lot when it comes to my skincare products, especially my face cleanser, since my skin’s needs change based on the season, breakouts, etc. So I was on the hunt for a new face cleanser and really wanted to find something on the gentler side, as I had realized the cleansers I was using were way too stripping, doing more harm than good to my skin.

I was gonna pick up the very popular tiktok cleanser that shall not be named lol but the price was so high for a huge bottle I wasn’t sure I would even like. As always I stopped by the Elf products and noticed this cleanser.

Hydrating, gentle and only $6? I had to give it a try. And I’m SO glad I did. This gel cleanser is perfect for my combination skin. It really cleanses the skin well, leaving no residue or makeup behind but my skin does not feel raw, stripped or overly dehydrated.

The gel consistency isn’t too thick or thin, lathers well, and rinses away easily. Its gentle enough to be used everyday and for the price its such a steal! I’d love to see this cleanser come in a bigger bottle, though this size does make it great for travel.

I like this cleanser a lot, it’s not too expensive and it works well for me. I have sensitive, combo skin that is maturing (I’m 38, light combo skin, never had any cosmetic procedures/treatments) and it doesn’t dry me out, doesn’t irritate my skin.

My face feels clean and not stripped after I use it. Some cleansers leave my skin feeling tight and dry, but this one doesn’t do that. I think this would be good for a lot of different skin types. I’ve been using elf products since they started and I’ve been happy with nearly everything since 2004.

This is another product I enjoy and will continue to use because it’s so gentle on my cranky, finicky skin.
