I’m enjoying Colgate’s Baking Soda Peroxide Whitening Toothpaste in Brisk Mint as it definitely bubbles up and provides a clean feeling! Although I appreciate this Colgate toothpaste has a standard anti-cavity fighting % of Sodium Monofluorophosphate 0.
076% (0. 14% w/v fluoride ion), I would prefer it if this this product came in a double pack combined with either a separate toothpaste or revamped with added ingredients to make for anti-gingivitis, tartar-protection, more plaque build-up removal, acid-erosion protection tooth sensitivity protection so that the baking soda and peroxide feature is an additional bonus.
I feel that Colgate ‘s Baking Soda Peroxide Whitening Toothpaste in Brisk Mint does provide fresh breath, which isn’t advertised on label it’s main goal is to provide that bubbling/foaming effect associated with a deep clean.
When using Colgate’s Baking Soda Peroxide Whitening Toothpaste, I personally feel it’s necessary to use a 2nd Toothpaste in conjunction that includes all the factors I listed above (anti-gingivitis, tartar-protection, a patented stannous fluoride activity, plaque build-up removal, acid-erosion protection which is key bc {acids in everyday foods thin the enamel, weakening teeth, leaving teeth less white, more sensitive}, tooth sensitivity protection, whitens also, helps remove surface stains, fights cavities also, and freshens breath, adds a blue tint which can add an instant whitening effect, plus it’s American Dental Association accepted.
) In order to get the full effect of Colgate’s Baking Soda Peroxide Whitening Toothpaste, I personally feel one needs to floss, then gurgle rinse with Hydrogen Peroxide (that says on label “safe to use as an oral rinse,” spit it out, gurgle rinse with an antiseptic mouthwash, spit it out, then, gurgle, rinse with a little Hydrogen Peroxide swished until it bubbles up, spit it out.
Next, add half a pea sized amt of each toothpaste combined together onto the toothbrush, brush gently for 2 minutes with circular/updown motions, (U should see the Colgate Toothpaste’s Baking Soda bubble up from the tiny bits of Hydrogen Peroxide left in between teeth!) I hear water picks are game changers, but don’t own one.
yet. One can always take baking soda from home and Hydrogen Peroxide (the one that says safe for use as an oral rinse) to create a tiny paste while scrubbing their mouth during the process instead, so I guess I was expecting an effect similar to THAT, but although this did not deliver what I had hoped, with adding products, it provides additional lovely cleanliness that’s not too abrasive, which is important! Remember to massage those gums, certain toothpastes are too abrasive nowadays or not effective enough (charcoal toothpastes have been proven to not work per Periodontists, Many Dentists, credible Research, but if they work for U.
keep using them! I’m just giving my personal thoughts. ) If this routine genuinely improves my teeth (as I’ve used the other toothpaste alone before) so this will be updated to give you a full answer on whether I’d repurchase, but as of now, I would not.
It’s affordable, though! I truly don’t believe in brushing teeth process directly after eating as this just pushes food particles deeper into your gums. Think about cleaning a dirty dish with a lot of grooves and food build-up.
Would you scrub that immediately? Or rinse it out first after reaching into those grooves once it soaks just a tad? I truly believe that hydrating w/water will at least break down some of the grime on your teeth before entering directly after a meal or carrying those floss/toothbrush hybrids to use in a bathroom, keeping it clean! Hope this helps!.
