20 Best Telephone For Seniors (2022 Updated)

I am a senior looking for a simple phone for 5% talk and 95% text. I bought this phone for the additional possibility of using apps and browsing the Internet on the go. One of the reasons for my choice was it did not require a Google account like other Androids do.

Here is my experience. I had the Lively Smartphone 3 activated at Best Buy. Right then I felt the keyboard was overly sensitive and resulted in multiple characters at a single stroke. It was also very hard to press the right key in the microscopic keyboard.

It is also chock-full of tiny icons without any explanation of their functions and you have to possess the skills of a hieroglyph expert to figure them out. Felt quite unfriendly to this senior. It is also full of many behaviors undocumented in the manual.

For example when I got stuck at the very first screen called Android Set Up screen with the cryptic message below it which said “Swipe up to unlock”, I had no idea what swiping up was and what was to be unlocked.

Finally after lengthy Internet searches I found out that you have to slide your finger from bottom to top to open the home screen. Why don’t say things in simple English like Open The Home Screen any more? I also tried to browse the Internet to open my brokerage account and typing the URL was a nightmare because there was no indication how to overwrite a part of the URL without retyping the entire thing.

Finally, when I managed to open their website, it looked very different from what I see on my laptop and even the logout link was missing. Anyway, I am very disappointed by the phone and will have to return it and eat the balance of unused data.

For me it was a total wastage of time and money. Surprisingly, I see many positive reviews so there must be many 22-year old seniors with eyesight better and fingers more nimble than mine. I cannot fairly comment on the camera or the battery life not having used it long enough.

Don’t buy, incompatible with apps. Posting this for my Dad, a veteran with this phone I tried to set up for him with e banking and vet apps. Can’t install the banking app, can’t install the Veterans Admin Health Apps; the apps refuse to install because the Jitterbug’s Operating System is TOO OLD.

All Jitterbug Smart phones, even the newest Smart 3 runs Android 7. 0 and there is NO UPDATE plan. Just skip these phones until the vendor comes to their senses and updates the OS immediately to Android 9 or higher and makes a commitment to stay up to date.

Granted, the interface and Home Screen for seniors is great. It really is. But that’s NOT SUFFICIENT… The compatibility of these “senior friendly” systems must be kept up to date with the latest OS for security updates the phones need to be safe on the internet and meet install requirements of Play Store Applications that you will likely want to add to the phone.

And this company does NOT keep up to date, making this phone OBSOLETE on purchase, unless you “never plan on adding any modern application, like electronic banking or VA apps” that I’ve failed to get installed recently.

The Jitterbug phones aren’t speed demons, but they can get the job done if they at least have the chance to install the apps. [Own a Jitterbug Smart 2 running Android OS 7. 0 Nougat].

Mom has one, I’m the tech-support guy, and we’ve been using it about 8 months now. These things are probably the easiest-to-use senior phones out there, but they still have major, inexplicable issues.

Mostly with their user interface. You can somewhat control what options appear on the home screen. But several unwanted options (internet, etc. ) cannot be hidden. Stripped-down, super simple, is the only way to go when you’re dealing with 80-year-olds, but Lively can’t be bothered to improve your options here.

Making a call is not easy. It’s oddly a five step process. If the contact only has one number it still makes you select it, still makes you choose between call and text, and finally lets you “place call.

” Try explaining that to your grandma. Also, if it’s easier to use the SPEAKER option for some people, it’s hard to tell if it’s enabled or disabled: The button is either blue or white, but the icon stays the same and it just says SPEAKER.

Voicemail. Accessing “visual” voicemail is also a way-too-many-steps process. Visual voicemail should be dead simple, but this is another 5-step series of button pushes that could and should be greatly simplified.

Again, if an 80-year old can’t manage it, than something is wrong. Spam: No way to quickly block spam callers/texters. You have to leave the Lovely system, get into the Android system, and copy/paste numbers you want blocked.

Ugh. Finally, OS updates undo all the access and permissions you’ve already enabled or disabled in the past. Why doesn’t it save them? And the UPDATE banner doesn’t go away, either, so you kind of have to update.

I am not a heavy phone user by any means: -4hr 47min screen time with 3hr 50min of which were used for internet browsing (wifi and mobile data) and another 50 min voice messaging and chatting no screen app usage: – 4hr 11min podcasts and audio books – 2hr 37 min on GPS tracking (Strava) – 29 min of calls Basically with 12 hours of use, the battery lasts me 2 days on single charge (even then I stay above 26%)! Over 1 day and 15hr of idle, phone has used only 8% of battery capacity, which I think is outstanding power conservation.

Outperforms my iPhone7, iPhone 12 mini, and friend’s iPhoneSE 2021 (even when one considers they have smaller batteries). I don’t buy phone for the photos, but the camera app and the image software are impressive.

There is also a little “toggle” which allows to share photos to your favorite app right after taking it, saves a few taps. Besides the 2 day use on single charge, my second most liked feature is totally tricked out design and ergonomics (size, fingerprint reader, and gestures) = 100% one-hand usage in any situation with no hassle.

Some people complained about fingerprint reader being slow and inaccurate. Perhaps because I don’t have a case over it and my finger is always properly placed against the sensor I have not had anything but flawless and quick unlocking of the phone/apps with fingerprint reader.

For my needs the phone is snappy with crisp response and no reservations there. I can tell Pixel4a is slower than iPhone12 mini, but we are talking few milliseconds? You only notice the difference because you use them back to back or simultaneously, but one can’t really say either one is slow.

If this Pixel 4a had aluminum frame and IP68 resistance. it would be the perfect choice for me. The only negative I have to say about Pixel 4a is that when I turn YouTube videos to full screen mode, I can’t go back to standard view because the button is at the very corner of the display (almost at the bevel) and it doesn’t detect the finger taps.

Display in this corner detects “google assistant” and various buttons in other apps just fine, but in YouTube full screen mode it doesn’t work for me most of the time. Lastly, it is not a gripe, however, I am really curious how is the plastic frame going to hold up without dust/water resistance.

Anything past 24 months of use would be certainly a win for me.

Incredible mid range phone that competes with flagships. I won’t get into the camera in great detail, which others have already reviewed, I’ll just say its awesome. I’ll focus on the other aspects of this device.

First off, I’ve been an avid user of Pixel devices and am going on my third one. As of this review, the pixel devices will continue to provide unlimited high quality uploads to Google photo, which is incredible and I sincerely hope that continues for all future pixel devices.

This phone comes with crash detection, similar to what you would find on Life360, all without an added charge. This isn’t something you ever want to use but just adds another layer of peace of mind without any added cost.

Now for the things I love, keep in mind google is a software/data company and that is where this device shines. With robo calls on the rise, this phone automatically dumps those calls and my phone doesn’t even ring when an identified spam call is incoming.

When anyone calls and the devic.

I’d like to start by saying this phone sucks harder than someone trying to get a golf ball through a garden hose. I love androids over iphones, but the amount of times this phone glitches out, closes out of things in the middle of you using it, updates every second of every day, touchscreen glitches, etc.

Is beyond ridiculous and makes using this brick of a phone as agonizingly frustrating as possible. The user interface is trash, I hate the way everytime I try to scroll to the right or left I end up going back a page instead, and the way Google tries to force you to save payment information or use one of their useless random google services each time you download an app is so shady and irritating.

I wanted to really like this phone, because objectively it should be good from the specs. But after having it, the Huawei cheap 100 dollar phone that I had before this phone was legitimately better in almost every way, which is depressing.

Google, fix your trash. (I’ve had this phone for over a year now, so all these issues are consistent issues).

This phone feels about right — nice screen, perfect size and decent camera. I’ve had S series and note series Samsung phones in the past but this time I wanted to give one of their A series a go and liked the clean lines of the A32.

AMOLED is important and so too regular updates but equally important is smooth operation and this is the one area where I think Samsung cheaped out a bit. The G80 is by no means a bad chip but it would have only cost Samsung a few dollars more to have used a Dimensity SOC and this phone would have been almost perfect for the money.

I am not devastated by the use of the G80 as it performs very well under most circumstances but with other manufactures using better silicon in cheaper phones I do wonder if this was a missed opportunity.

Regardless, I love the phone and have no regrets buying it. I bout the official Samsung S-View wallet case for it and it looks superb. There are some better value phones out there for the money but at the end of the day they are not Samsung and they certainly won’t be receiving the updates Samsung is promising for this device.

All in all I am happy.

I bought this phone a week ago and so far i am plesently surprised. I decided on purchasing it because of the price point, battery life, screen size, and fingerprint reader. Throughout the week i found that i only need to charge it every other day even though use Spotify to stream music or podcasts my entire 8 hour work day and during my commute.

The fingerprint scanner has proven reliable, if your having trouble with it i recommend adding your preferred fingerprint 2 or 3 times and ensure your finger is clean. The performance is way better than what i expected at the price i payed.

Its faster than the a21 i had previously. Dont expect to run 14 apps at once though. I also dont play games on it because thats not my thing. Movies come out crystal clear and play smooth with good sound quality.

Calls come in clear and with the volume all the way up it has hurt my ear at times. Not a bad thing because some people talk super quiet. Ive had no one ask me to repeat myself. Connection seems strong unless im in a rural area where no phone has service.

Internal storage is smaller than i would like but a sd card helps upgrade the phone. The camera takes a decent picture and it has most of the modern features. I will continue to use it everyday and promise to update this review if anything changes.

Before you buy just remember its a 79. 99 dollar phone. If your expecting s22 ultra super features you will be disappointed. Also Its 4g and ive never used 5g so cant compare. plenty fast for me.

As a long time Samsung mobile user, I have very disappointed with this once. The fingerprint scanner is next to useless for starters which makes answering calls a pain let alone accessing the phone for anything else.

The camera is unimpressive and I don’t get the same quality of pics I was getting on my Note 5+ or my S8+ even those models are so old. I didslike that when I try to MOVE pictures from the Gallery into a folder, they remain in the Gallery and the folder.

I was given support on a work around but that didn’t work at all so appears to be a defect. I used the supplied weather app widget to load up a couple of different world wide locations to get time and weather but on the old phones, I was able to carousel the view between those locations via the widget without my having to open the app, go to the menu and select which other location I wished to view.

Grrrrrrrr. I don’t get any light flash notifications to indicate I have messages waiting. All in all, a very disappointing phone – it does the basics but that’s all. I will be changing to another brand going forward.

I bought this for my 89-year-old mother for large buttons and the four extra buttons at the top. The good: The screen is nice and clear with big fonts and the buttons are a good size. The user interface is much better thought out than the Panasonic I sent back.

The volume rocker is useful but. (see below) The top four buttons are the reason I bought it and they great. You can use them as normal speed-dial or as emergency calls to four people where the press A and then calls all people on A, B, C, D until one of them answers.

Very long standby about 8 or 9 days The base is excellent as you can make calls to the four people on A B C D buttons and receive calls from anyone. If you can’t find your ringing phone just go to the base.

If you can’t find that either then you’ve got problems beyond the scope of this review!! The Neutral: The voice quality is not great but my mother understands everything said. I don’t know if it is the phone’s speaker quality or my line.

The Bad: This phone is more for the elderly and one thing they need is volume. Like many have said, the max volume isn’t that high. The phone doesn’t have speed dials on the main keypad – the four, A B C D buttons are all you get.

This is a silly decision by Siemens considering it is meant to be a £100 phone. Also, the ABCD buttons are really meant for their automated emergency functionality so why not put normal speed dials on the main keypad.

Now if you want to call your daughter, son, or a close friend for a chit chat you have to go through the phonebook. A very stupid decision by siemens, practically every landline phone at that price has keypad speed dials.

You don’t have to be elderly to appreciate a good quality phone. Sound is excellent – both for hearing aid user and somebody with good ears. Good features for those that want them but can be simple too.

Good finish to it. Nice look and feel. Thoroughly recommend. Bought to replace old Gigaset phones that had done their time. Delivered in good time too.

This quad handset is a replacement for another Gigaset which I was struggling to use, as my hearing has deteriorated, and I was mainly using the old one on loudspeaker especially on a conference call, Although slightly put off by the size of the buttons, they are easy to see and use and it’s also easier to see the letters than on my old phone.

We had a bit of difficulty registering the handsets as they all needed doing on the base station. The next issue was with the answerphone. We have a 1571 voicemail system which supposedly takes 21 seconds to kick in and the answerphone was set to auto with a response time of 18 seconds.

On that setting 1571 answered first and it took a while working out the problem. Now we have set it to answer after 10 seconds, it works fine but it doesn’t leave very long to answer the phone, although once you’ve done that the recording does stop.

The button to increase volume during the call is very useful and the general sound quality is good. When I put my hearing aid onto loop though, I got a buzzing sound, which I don’t think should be there.

It would also be useful to have a louder volume for the ring and a better selection of melodies, as the majority aren’t suitable for people with hearing impairment. We’re using the 1970s ring which is fine.

Our old phone handsets told you which one you were using on the screen – this one doesn’t unless you make an internal call and it highlights which one you’re calling from. These are all minor issues but I’m surprised that in some respects our new phones are not as good as the old ones, despite being the same manufacturer.

like the functions, The digital answering system saves up to 17 minutes per voicemail. Other features include dedicated call blocking buttons on the base and handset, baby monitor, digital phone book, noise reduction and key detector compatibility.

I also love the range of cordless systems outside the house for yard work etc. A huge investment for us. We have an older version that we just wanted to update. Will buy again and also recommend. Great Intercom, we use it a lot , instead of yelling your wanted, supper’s ready you’re needed at a location, the Intercom is the answer.

I purchased this phone at Office Depot in Jupiter ,Florida based on the suggestion of my very capable point man Keion. Since I still have a Landline this phone set up was a great choice for my needs.

It has many features which I don’t use since I just need the basics. So far I am very pleased with this phone and can recommend to potential buyers. It serves my purpose well. Manfred H. Braig.

Not thrilled. Replacing previous Panasonic set. This one was more difficult to set up and doesn’t have nearly as many places to use a “back” option. Instead, you have to hit “exit” and start the whole process over again.

From what I can tell–and it hasn’t been worth the hassle to pursue it further yet–the one-touch dial and speed dial are pretty much the same thing, so what’s the point? The handsets have fewer features and also don’t include the “back” option.

Harder to read and no volume control button on the the side that could be used while still holding the phone to the ear while talking to someone, a function I used frequently. Now you have to take the phone away from your ear and try to find the small print that tells you what to push for volume.

Also, in setting it up as well as in use, it repeatedly throws the intercom option at you–which, shock! can’t be backed out of–and I don’t have any interest in using one phone to call another inside the house, so I don’t know why they keep pushing that.

The instruction book is difficult to understand and on many things it’s been easier to simply try various things and see what works rather than read their convoluted descriptions of how to use what. Twice in two days I had calls during which the people at the other end simply stopped being able to hear me.

Don’t know if I got a lemon or if it’s a more cheaply made and overpriced version of the last version I had.

Having owned the 1st gen SE for five years the battery was shot and I was contemplating replacing it for a while, but I’m glad I waited for the 3rd gen SE to come out – with the same A15 chip as the current flagship iPhone 13, and even the upcoming iPhone 14, it has performance to spare and is future proofed as far as any phone can be.

Apps launch instantly, mobile 4g and 5g speeds match wifi performance (depending on the signal of course). I find battery life to be excellent – after a full day of use (for me that’s at least 3 hours screen time using web, navigation, email, texting, photos/video, a few 10 min calls) I often still have 60% battery left the next morning.

Whilst the LCD screen is small and unfashionable with its bezels, it is adequate for all my daily needs including email, etc. if you know you need a large screen for work or gaming, you’re unlikely to be considering this phone anyway.

For those who prefer a pocket sized phone, the screen is sharp and works well in all lighting conditions except direct bright sunlight where high contrast text is legible, but subtle tones and details in photos are hard to see (I’ve yet to see a screen that works well in such conditions).

It also retains the home button and Touch ID which I appreciate and prefer to Face ID, especially when using banking apps and Apple Pay. The main camera is adequate for most situations and has Apple’s latest image processing so the quality of photos and video is high.

The front camera is of a lower resolution so selfies are not to the same standard. John Lewis sell at the same price as other retailers, but include a 2 year warranty which no one else does so represent excellent value for money.

By today’s standards this is old, but old doesn’t necessarily mean bad as the SE is lightweight, comfortable to use and easy to carry on your person. The Camera The camera lenses/sensors are the same as the previous SE from 2020.

There is a 12 megapixel lens on the back and a 7 megapixel lens on the front. However, although these are the same as the previous model the images this phone takes are fantastic, thanks (in part) to the SE’s new image processing.

The Battery The battery should comfortably last over a day with medium use thanks to the larger battery and power efficiency of the A15 Bionic chip.

5G 5G is another big plus for this phone, but it’s only useful if: a) You are in a 5G enabled area b) Have a good data (SIM) plan For the price the iPhone SE (2022) this is the most powerful phone you can get, a phone which will last many years to come.

iPhone SE 2022 Review I felt compelled to write this review after I had read so many other reviews before making this purchase. And I think this little powerhouse of a phone deserves it. I have just spent a year with the IPhone 13.

But moved to this phone. The iPhone SE 2022 is quite literally punching above its weight. With the same A15 Bionic CPU that is found in Apple’s flagship model (13 Pro), extended battery life, 5G network capabilities and the option of larger memory size.

This mobile really stands up for itself. One thing I’ve read so much about from trusted reviews and other comments is the criticism of the form factor / screen size. For me, the size of this was one of the MAIN reasons to get this phone.

I don’t want a huge, heavy phone in my pocket. The 4. 7″ is in my opinion just perfect, and with the iPhone SE you hardly notice it at all. Its easy to hold and use and very light. It also uses Touch ID which I actually prefer than FaceID as it’s quicker and more convenient.

It was a shame to hear that this could be the last time Apple support this smaller size and are moving the next SE to a larger screen, another reason why I wanted to get this version before they do. This phone for me is perfect in every way, and if you are able to, I would go for the larger 256GB memory size to really future proof this device.

I had reservations about switching to iPhone as I’ve been an Android user for the past 10 years or more. The reservations I had were about the battery life, iOS, being locked to the apple store and the lcd screen on this phone.

The specs on paper are nothing to write home about and if it was an Android I would have probably bypassed this phone. So glad I didn’t. 1. The battery life is amazing, I’m a moderate user, calls, banking, messages, watching YouTube and using sat nav.

By the end of a day I still have around 40-50% battery left which I never got on my Android. My Android phone had a 4500mah battery and this one I think is 3400, I’m not sure what wizardry they have under the hood but it’s incredibly efficient without compromising on performance.

The Apple store has all the apps I was using with Android and all apps work smoothly and seamlessly. My Android phone was a super amoled compared to this lcd the Android screen is better but marginally.

The Liquid Retina display on this thing is amazing, and yes the blacks are not as deep as an amoled but the difference is very little, I was so pleasantly surprised. Face unlock is super responsive. The iOS does take some getting used to but I adjusted very quickly to it.

Only negative points were remembering all the passwords to the apps, downloading my CDs onto the iPhone which I watched a YouTube video and managed and having to buy a usb adaptor so I could charge the phone.

Apart from these minor gripes I’m so glad I switched this really is a well built and quality phone. Yes you can get a very decent mid range Android with better specs but this will blow it out of the water.

It took me ages to take the plunge but do not regret it one bit. Furthermore, got this with a further 10% cash back from Very. Win win.

I really do like this phone, and the Straight Talk Customer Service was very helpful, which is why I gave this 3 stars. However, it was a pain to get it going. First, I did not realize Apple doesn’t send a way to charge this phone.

They send a charger, but nothing to plug it into, like a wall adapter. When I got the phone, I was broke and having to quarantine, so it was another week before I could go to the store to purchase something to help charge the phone, which meant I could barely use it for the first week.

Also, I almost threw away the activation and SIM card because they blended in so much with packaging. I was looking for a big red card and instead it was in a small gray envelope attached to the plastic wrap.

I only found it a week later after I got a charger, because thankfully I saved all the packaging. Then the phone still would not activate, and I had to spend all weekend getting this fixed. Thankfully, I was able to chat with Straight Talk customer service, and they were really helpful.

It turned out after spending all day today trying to get this fixed that it needed to run an update for about 30 minutes before working right. I can say now I like a lot about this phone, like the camera, having more space, and the sound quality.

I had to buy wireless earbuds, but I am able to use some $25 Skull Candy bluetooth ones instead of buying higher dollar Apple ones. I’m also glad to see Spotify is compatible, because that is the main app I use.

I think I will love my phone now that I can finally use it, but it has taken about two weeks of worry trying to get to this point.

This phone is fast, it’s simple, and it’s easy, much like previous iPhones. I admit the lack of home button scared me at first, as I had previously only owned an iPhone 8 and iPhone 6, however the transition is smooth and rather satisfying to swipe away the apps rather than click… a feature I had not noticed before in previous makes.

I admit when making this purchase I bought it for the camera, I had hopes of this amazing camera I could use for photography or simply to just take photos of day to day life and capture the exact beauty… whilst this camera does come with noticeable improvements from previous iPhones, it isn’t amazing.

I would have wanted something more from a camera that had been the main focus of the phone. Despite this, the camera is still good! The features to expand photos to get more of the scenery in is amazing, the way it makes dark photos lighter, or even the detail you can capture in video, especially with higher settings.

Something I had noticed that I wish this phone had, is fingerprint recognition. Whilst yes, the face recognition is cool, there are times where, it simply doesn’t recognise my face, or I’m wearing a mask so I can’t use it, or I’m laying down in the dark cuddled up in my blanket, face smooshed to unrecognisable proportions… and those times I have to type in my passcode just to see my notifications in further detail because the phone cannot see me.

I have noticed that android phones still have the finger print recognition, despite the lack of a home button, and as well as face recognition. This is something Apple must think about in its upcoming products.

I miss the simplicity of fingerprint recognition and it’s the one thing this phone is lacking. As for battery life. It isn’t amazing, but it isn’t as bad as previous generations. There is still a lot of work to do when it comes to battery life, especially when comparing my iPhone to my boyfriends android, his can last days where as mine is lucky to last the same day, with both of us using our phones just as much as each other.

As for the waterproof features… yes this phone is waterproof, though even getting water inside the charging port will prevent you from charging. This feature helps to protect your phone from damage caused from water meeting electricity in the charger needed to charge your phone… you are also given the option to force a charge if it is an emergency and are warned of the risks.

The best option for this is to having a charging pad, rather than a charging cable… though it isn’t exactly something I would have wished for a “waterproof” product to have. I think the next step is to find a more water friendly way of charging without there needing to be a risk warning at all, yet still being as handy as the lead charger, in which you can still pick up your phone.

As someone who has never used a smart phone until now, I would say this is a fairly good one. It depends on what your needs are. I just wanted a phone that is easy enough to learn to use. (My old flip phone was actually fine.

I just had to change it because the cell phone carriers were phasing out the 3G phones so my flip phone would no longer work by March 2022. I didn’t get another flip phone because the ones that were available didn’t have much to offer and were worse than my flip phone.

So basically I was “forced” into getting a smart phone. ) The iPhone SE seemed the easiest to use because of the home button. It was also smaller and more lightweight than the regular smart phones. I won’t give it 5 stars because comparing to my old flip phones the battery doesn’t last anywhere near as long.

It also doesn’t come with the charging adapter, just the cable, so you have to buy the charger separately. It is very cheap of Apple to make their phones like this. It doesn’t come with instructions either (another cheap move) so you will spend time googling stuff online if you have any questions about it.

I am not tech savvy at all so I did a lot of that the first 2 weeks. If you just want to talk, text, and take an occasional photo, this phone is okay for that. I found the video to be poor quality when uploading it to a computer but maybe I just can’t figure out the right setting for it.

That’s why I wish it came with detailed instructions. The iPhone SE is pretty good for a first smart phone and more affordable than the regular iPhone so I’ll give it that. But it is not for everyone.

My parents for example could never figure this out and would have to settle for what ever flip phone is available these days. I would actually give it 3. 5 stars if that was an option.

I got the SE 2020 after my iPhone 7 I owned for three years started acting strange and gave up on me. It took five months to get a new phone and when I got the iPhone SE 2020, I’m absolutely happy with it.

This thing is incredibly inexpensive and had a home button like my old 7 which is nice. I don’t mind the SE 2 not having 5G since that’s less of a concern to me. My 7 doesn’t have 5G either but I certainly don’t mind it since it has LTE which still gets the job done.

Battery life seems pretty decent to me too. The camera got a nice quality but then again, I’m really not much of a photographer and I rarely take photos with it. Not sure about gaming which I don’t play often unless I’m bored or if I have free time although I’m thinking getting a decent tablet for gaming.

And the best thing is that my SE 2020 is on MetroPCS which has decent and excellent service in my hometown whereas my iPhone 7, which is on AT&T, has very terrible signal; I could barely get any bars on it when I’m using my 7.

But when I’m out of the house and went to the park yesterday, my SE 2 got a pretty great service (it has like three or four bars) so that’s nice. The only issue is that I wish my SE 2 had 128GB of internal storage for reasons but other than that, the SE 2020 is a great phone.

It serves me well. I hope there’ll be more iPhones with home button in the future. Not everyone needs a $1k gigantic phone. (June 9, 2022).

Knocked 2 stars off (iPhone = 5 stars) because of the 3rd party conditions. The description is wrong for ‘includes:’ you do not get USB Power Adapter. You must buy USB-C Power Adapter separately ($20).

You do not get a lightning to USB cable. You get a Lightning to USB-C cable. Devices that you’re going to connect to or charge with must have a USB-C connection. If no USB-C connection, you must have or buy a USB-C to USB adapter ($20), or have a USB cable (slower charge) to then connect to your older USB-connection device.

Be warned, there’s a short time frame to activate for people w day jobs in order to qualify for the $140 promotion. Difficult to coordinate one’s schedule with their short availability of in-store personnel (3rd party/not Target) to activate the iPhone outside of Black Friday.

Call to see if person is scheduled/available in-store before you go outside of Black Friday. The iPhone itself is excellent. Because of the short time, difficult-to-find, qualified, few in-store personnel scheduled, I wouldn’t recommend unless you have the time in your schedule to meet their schedule.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The first phone they sent me was defective, it overheated. Then the company replaced it and sent me an iPhone 11 pro max, but that phone was also defective. this time it was the screen and GPU, the iPhone was lagging on SUBWAY SURFERS.

Then they replaced the screen on that phone, but that did not solve my problem. I contacted them again, which is a very time-consuming thing to do because you have to basically spam a couple of times for them to respond, one time they didn’t respond for 5 business days.

Finally, they sent me another replacement phone, but when I went to pick this one up, the store would not give it to me because this Device Care company didn’t communicate with them properly so I had to drive back, wasting a ton of fuel and time.

When I tried to contact them afterward about this they sent me an email saying: please do not contact us. , Then I had to call them without my caller id so they would call me, After a week or so, of dealing with that I finally received my replacement, which is now my current iPhone, but it is still defective and has screen lag.

I do not have the time and energy to contact this unresponsive company again so I am just dealing with the fact that I can’t play even 50-megabyte games on my iPhone. I would really suggest not giving your business to this company.

I bought this phone about 2 weeks ago. Let me just say it’s in really good condition. It does have a few scratches around the corners of the phone, and tiny scratches on the screen, but nothing that is terribly noticeable.

The camera’s work and look amazing. The speakers work well, and I can hear crystal clear when on the phone with someone. All the buttons work, I can’t find a big flaw that would alter my rating in anyway.

I would suggest for someone who isn’t looking for mint condition phones to get this. I had an Iphone X and finally convinced myself to upgrade, I couldn’t be more happier. With the price as well. yeah it’s a 5 star! (Not to mention the battery last 8 hours from 8a-4p of me working and when I get home last me all day of scrolling on tiktok until 10pm for bed and that’s when I plug it up.

here is an honest review from someone that has hated Apple products since the ipod. I have always been android all the way. Every phone I have had since I can remember has been either a Samsung or lg.

Enter the IPhone 11 Pro Max 😁 after a while debating on learning an new operating system and function of a different phone ( with Samsung it’s not that hard to go from one to another) I decided to get the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

And honestly I’m glad I did. The cameras are amazing, the last android I had was the note 9 and upgraded from that. The Samsung note 20 ultra with its 108mp camera would be working over time to get the quality of the cameras on the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Also storage is better with the iPhone 512 gigabytes as oppsed to 256 or 128 with the note 20 ultra. Battery is amazing as well. Quick charging and it holds all day and then some. I’m a heavy app user and I have yet to run the battery out in a single day.

When I finally ran the battery out on the iPhone it was charger 50% in 30 minutes and a full 100% after just over and hour. Even with rapid charging it holds. I’ve never used apple earphones and I can say the my are a whole different world of sound and clarity.

Even though I have to connect my head phones with the iPhone through the charging port ( honestly that’s what kept me from getting one when I initially got my note 9 instead) it doesn’t effect battery life negatively.

If anything it gives it power and better sound from what I can tell. Customization is a little different from android phones. On my note 9 I could download Zedge and get all the ringtones, wall papers, and notification tones i wanted, not so much with iPhones ( however the camera in the 11 pro Max makes up for the lack in customization.

I’m still mind blown about it. If the 11 pro Max can make it through a 2 year contract that I have the. I may be just be an apple customer from now on.

I finally upgraded from my Note 10+ that I got at launch all the way back in 2019, and my experience with the ultra relative to it has been pretty positive. But while the S line has been on a bumpy road with features additions, removals, combinations, and design changes, the only thing radically different between 2019 Note and 2022 Ultra is the 44 extra pixels of height on the display.

It’s the same boxy design (which I like), the same curved sides (thankfully much less intense this time around), same S pen (almost exactly the same even), and the same Samsung experience we’ve gotten used to with OneUI.

However, I am happy I upgraded, because while I didn’t gain any features, everything I had before has been upgraded and tweaked to be smoother, quicker, and more powerful. The display is much brighter, and is just as easily viewable outside on a bright day as it is inside at night.

The battery, while I’ve heard it’s lesser than the S21 Ultra, is still miles ahead of the 5-6 hours my Note was left with by the time I upgraded (I had never replaced the battery), I’ll easily get 8 or 9 hours off a full charge and I’d consider myself a power user with many background apps as well as processing heavy daily tasks.

S Pen thankfully has all of the features it did before, I’m one of the few who finds practical use for Air Command when watching YouTube propped on a table and don’t need to reach my arm across to skip or change the volume, and especially when taking photos from distances or if I need to hold a specific angle and tapping the shutter button would ruin it (I can’t be the only one with that problem right?).

Speaking of photos, the cameras live up to the hype on this year’s Ultra. I’d heard complaints and gripes since the S20 but when I finally jumped it seems Samsung has ironed out most of those. Point and shoot picture taking, without any fancy zooming or photo modes, is class leading, and while you lose zoom options in the true 108 MP mode having a photo with a ton of detail can be cool and enhance it in most situations.

Wide angle is basically perfect, with the great color and detail persisting across the lenses, and the zoom is mind blowing and very freeing. The best uses I’ve found for the zoom are wildlife or nature photos, where you can frame something exactly and get it in crisp detail.

Zooming up to 60x is usually the most you’ll get away with, although I’ve managed to get a couple stunning shots at 100x, which is impossible on my brother’s S21 Ultra. The night mode is so good it’s almost a catch-22 (pun intended), if you take a picture at night it’ll automatically do a long exposure night mode photo and the result just looks like daytime, complete with blue skies.

This does mean if you want to preserve the dark night look, some adjustments or post touchups will be needed, although it’s better to capture all the detail now and adjust later than to lose it all in the dark from the beginning.

A good tip for using the camera is that photos never end up how they do from the viewfinder, there’s a ton of post process done on every one (something you can turn off in pro mode if it’s not your fancy) so you might just need to take a photo to see if it’ll be good.

Video performance is pretty good but can be hit or miss, although admittedly I don’t take many videos. The same great color performance carries through most of the time but lighting can be a bit off, especially when you have a bright light in a dark room (i.

e. a TV screen in a room at night) but it’s usually taken care of with quick adjustments with the brightness slider. A good benchmark for video lighting is plays, as in live actors across a stage. Being a large dark room and wanting to capture what’s going on can be tough for a lot of cameras but with a couple taps the S22 catches up and creates a surprisingly balanced and detailed video from what would normally be very non-optimal circumstances for phone cameras.

Overall I think it’s definitely an Ultra phone, it’s got all the big numbers and lives up to them for me, even if they might not have in the device’s between my Note and now. And while there aren’t any new features compared to my Note, it doesn’t mean this isn’t the swiss army knife of phones, heck, electronic devices.

As a tech enthused type I often need to do specific tasks for this and that and in specific ways for this device or that one, and this phone works every time when I use it, although for productivity my desktop computer is my first choice when I’m home.

Samsung has made a very refined device, bringing all the best features from past devices and upgrading them to truly be worthy of the name Ultra. I’d recommend the phone to anyone looking for the absolute highest across the board, even if it doesn’t do anything incredibly interesting like fold in half or have a ring light built in.

I bought this phone, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, the best variant of their 2022 flagships, a month ago and I absolutely love it. It’s the best phone I’ve ever had, and that does sound cliche, but I will explain why I say this.

Samsung is a consumer electronics company that’s been around for over sixty years – it’s absolutely clear that they know their material. Their camera features which they’ve built into this device are absolutely above and beyond what I’ve seen on other phones, and even other dedicated cameras! I believe I read that consumer electronics companies (maybe it was just Samsung themselves!) decided that the best camera a consumer has is the one that is on their person at all times – Samsung most definitely follow this philosophy closely.

The cycle for taking a single, simple yet extremely high-quality, high-resolution (nominally 4000×3000 pixels – depending on color range and variety going up to six megabytes) picture can be completed in maybe five seconds depending on how long it takes to line up the shot – a grid and AI can assist with this – but if you can spare 15, you can make a Single Take session, which captures multiple photos and videos from different angles.

And there are professional features included which I have not yet explored. The customization afforded to the user compared to my previous phones, which due to their operating system have been comparatively locked down, is absolutely overwhelming.

I don’t believe I’ve discovered half of what this phone can do at its core, and I’ve got a while yet, I suppose, before I do. From motion wallpaper, custom icons and sounds for each app, multiple home screens and widgets, to varied ways to navigate the phone’s interface – including eliminating the navigation bar and going full gesture mode on the full display – you’ll never lack ways to make this phone your own.

Samsung also have you covered with this phone if you use a computer heavily! If you use Windows 10 or 11, you can use their app called Phone Link, together with the Link to Windows feature on the phone, to send and receive messages, make and receive calls, look at and transfer pictures, and stream the screen wirelessly! The best part of computer integration is this: There is a feature called DeX, for Desktop eXperience, which describes it to a tee! Download the special app on Windows or other platforms, connect via a USB-C cable, USB-C to A cable or (most conveniently) wirelessly, and you have a whole other operating system overlaid, but integrated with the host! Here, the potential for interoperability is greatly increased, and some phone apps have greatly expanded UX (User eXperience) if used on a desktop – many times you can access their tablet interface or even other special functions! Bottom line – get this phone if you want a full exploration of all that consumer mobile devices can do, and many things you didn’t even know were possible on handheld devices!.

I’ll try to make this review short and concise as there are probably plenty of detailed reviews that have been written or video recorded. I’ll try to breakdown the areas which I have a problem with after I give an overview perspective.

Overview Perspective Having not owned a Samsung smartphone in close to 10 years (my last device was a Note 3) I can see that Samsung has come a LONNNNNGGG way in improving the design and functionality of their devices.

The S22 Ultra is definitely one of the best Android devices of 2022 and with Samsung’s commitment to 4 years of OS upgrades and 5 years of security patches, the S22 Ultra will be a solid device for years to come.

Area of Contention #1: Software. Touchw. I mean Samsung One UI (;-) is a MARKED improvement over Touchwiz of yore – however, it is still a fairly “heavy” Android skin that seems to still stand to be improved upon quite a bit.

I am coming from a OnePlus 7 Pro (still running the ORIGINAL Oxygen OS (11)) and OnePlus WAS known for having a light Android skin tweaked for performance and battery life. Samsung could take some direction from OnePlus for tweaking their skin for better battery life and performance and leaving the extras that they add into their deployment of Android as plug-ins or software that can be loaded from the Galaxy Store.

One of my main gripes with the software concerns Bluetooth in the following regards: 1) The BT device menu popping up EACH TIME you turn on the BT radio (it is MIND NUMBINGLY ANNOYING) 2) Not being able to see the battery life of the connected BT device directly in the status bar (as I can on my OnePlus) (and instead having to long-press on the BT icon (when the device is connected) from quick settings to see the battery life of the connected device.

This is a HUGE miss and one that should be a STANDARD for Android as a whole (let alone the S22 Ultra). I could go on and on with other little details, but overall – OneUI has much room for improvement that I hope gets better with OneUI 5 and beyond.

Area of Contention #2: Battery Life I know that there are many factors involved in the battery life of a device and that battery life is a subjective topic person-to-person – HOWEVER, the battery life for the S22 Ultra SHOULD BE MUCH BETTER.

Yes, I can make it through a day on a charge (I have the charge setting enabled to limit charging to 85%) and I only charge my device when I need to and not every night (I am trying to extend the life of the battery for as long as possible).

However, with my OnePlus 7 Pro – I can EASILY make it a Day and a half before having to charge that device versus the S22 Ultra where I am true to have to top it up first thing in the morning following a previous day’s use.

I know that this is attributed to how the software and OS is optimized and there’s not much that I can do about it (other than uninstalling apps that I don’t use). Area of Contention #3: Speakers Performance.

Okay, there’s no easy or nice way to put this but. the speakers on the S22 Ultra are pure sh!t My OnePlus 7 Pro has a pair of speakers that blows the speakers on the S22 Ultra out of the water (and that device is 3+ years old!).

For a $1000+ device, I expected speakers to be top-of-the-line and competing with the speakers from iOS-based phones – but instead, they are just pure trash and that is unacceptable. If I didn’t invest so much into this device (case, screen protector, vinyl skins, etc.

) – I would highly consider trading this phone in for the new Pixel 7 Pro. I may even consider trading this in for the S23 Ultra if that device has an improvement in the speakers (volume output, better bass tones, etc.

) (YES, the speakers are THAT BAD). In conclusion, the S22 Ultra is a solid device that will MORE THAN fulfill your smartphone needs. It has areas that desperately need to be improved upon if Samsung continues to price this device in the $1000+ territory, but for the price, you’re getting a device that will serve its purpose and then some.

First of all the phone is described as Grade A. Upon receiving phone you could tell that this phone has been significantly used. The color on the side were practically rubbed off and could see the base color underneath.

To the point where I debated on returning the phone for a day or two. I also noticed the screen had been replaced and a poor job at that you can actually see on the screen where the suction cups were pulled so hard that it damaged the screen and could actually see the shape of the suction cups on the screen.

The phone speaker was low during calls I had to actually clean it out with alcohol to be able to hear the caller on the other end. Face ID is also hot or miss doesn’t completely work all the time. It also seems the camera glass was replaced and was not cleaned when installed.

Pictures and videos at night are so blurry due to the dirty lens that can’t be cleaned from the outside. I was also given a charging brick with the phone that started to smell and smoke the night I finally decided to use it.

I was given a 10% partial refund for the issues with the phone. I’m sure if the phone were to be replaced it would be replaced with phone with just as many issues on account of the reviews. It seems like a great deal but save your money and buy refurbished from a trusted seller.

After using this phone every day for nearly a year and a half I’ve come to form my own take on this device. At first glance the Iphone 11 is a large yet slim looking device, much larger than my previous phone the Iphone 8.

At first, I thought this would allow the phone to be more vulnerable to getting damaged when dropped although even when in a basic case with no screen protector the phone as survived every drop. For its larger size the phone is light weight and able to fit comfortably in my clothes pockets.

A positive to this phone is that it is larger, I am a little bit on the taller side so the phone is able to fit comfortably in my hands, it’s nice to watch videos on and I had no problem adjusting quickly from the smaller size of the Iphone 8 to the size of the Iphone 11.

This might be a con for shorter people, women and children might not be able to fit it as easily into their hands or clothing’s pockets. The battery life is outstanding with the Iphone 11 being fitted with the newer batteries, I’m able to go about 8/9 hours with heavy usage and about 15 hours on a regular day of being active with work or school with light to moderate usage.

Maybe you forgot to plug your phone in the night before (I know we have all been there) or you’re just caught at a bad time and need a little extra charge, 20-30 minutes of charging is worth a few more hours of screen time if you need it.

Another addition is the new ultrawide lens camera which allows you to capture more of the environment, creating more opportunities to capture even more of a crisp clear image with the amazing camera.

Videos are also of amazing making it very easy for me to film better quality (4k 60fps) videos while doing various physically intense activities like long boarding or running making it very easy for anyone to get into videography or photography.

The speakers are another thing to note having the ability to play a loud music in a quite room making it enjoyable listen to outside or to blast music while in the shower. As for the IOS it is as good as its ever been still loading applications at super-fast speeds making everything you do on the phone like Face ID, watching Netflix or using a heavy app as smooth as butter.

Overall, I have no complaints for this phone, it crosses everything off my list of things I want and need in a phone and goes above and beyond. This phone will easily last me years to come and I’m excited as well as satisfied.

For weeks Tesco stores had increased the price of the A13’s to 179 following a labeling problem. As we wanted to upgrade 2 x A20e phones this priced them out of our market, so when we spotted the same phone on the Tesco eBay site at 139 we jumped at them.

I ordered 2 on Friday, they arrived Tuesday (not Monday as promised) Slightly bigger & a little heavier than our old A20e’s. Most Samsung Galaxy’s work in the same way – so things like ring tone, camera etc work like my old phone.

It was a (fairly) simple process – even for a 61-year old – to move existing numbers & smart switch from old phone to new. As we are already Tesco Mobile customers, & having existing Samsung phones (& chargers – none came with new phones – enviro-friendly, apparently), we simply saved our numbers to the micro sim, & using the lead provided, we followed the Smart Switch app to transfer our photos messages & (most of) apps onto the new phone.

Some more “personal” apps (ie: banking etc) do not transfer using Smart Switch (tip – dont wipe your old phone until you’ve checked/compared) The whole set-up on 2 x phones was completed by me within a couple of hours.

This a nice phone for your basic needs. Its runs the lastest Andriod 12 uodate along Samsungs latest One UI 4. 1 update. It has a extra upgrades from the 5G version. The biggest upgrade is the display.

Its 10x better than the display on the Galaxy A13 5G and the Galaxy A32 5G. It’s a 1080p screen with grear colors. The phone has dual sim abd both sim slots actually work. Now here are the downgrades.

The storage is limited to 32GB, the total ram is limited to 3GB. The phone isnt slow by any means. Ive already received one updatr from Samsung that address performance issues. Now the phone runs much better than it did out the box.

Ive added a 128GB, the updated software also features Samsung’s Ram plus feature that lets boost your total ram. So that helps with performance. The battery life is amazing, I average 8-10 screen on hours daily.

It does feature quick charge (no charger in the box, only the cable) but I have an 18w fast charger already. The cameras are great. Better than the a13 5g. This phone has a wide angle camera, unlike the A13 5G.

Overall it’s a decent price phone for the price. It has many perks. So im happy with it.

After AT&T shut off my 3G Samsung Rugby suddenly, I needed a new flip phone that is solid. The one AT&T wanted to substitute was cheap and flimsy. I have no use for a smart phone as incoming and outgoing calls are all I need in a phone.

The Sonim has a lot of features I don’t need and getting used to it takes some time. Call and voice quality are fine and no issues with battery life. Loud volume is great in a noisy enviroment. Pairing Bluetooth to my vehicles took some time, but everything works well.

Texting is a nightmare. For instance: if you hit the 2 key while texting you should have the choices of a, b, c, or 2 but you get random words to choice from and letters not in alphabetical order. The phone is very sturdy but thick and heavy.

I tried using it for a week but it was too frustrating to use texting and voicemail. I returned it for a refund.

Heavy duty phone, I had to do a complete phone reset to fix a few bugs. After that, worked great. Easy to set a few command functions, and does have Internet and works really good for a small screen.

The browser icon is not how to get to the Internet though. Top left function button opens up (my notifications) then scroll down to search and press that and just put in what ever site you want. This was not in the pdf info I could find.

I am satisfied with this phone. Not like the Kyocera of course, but at least I don’t have to take the battery out 20 times a day to get a signal. All in all, for a flip phone rating. 5 star for the extra features that newer flips normally don’t have.

The Coral color is such a cheerful true bright (almost neon) Coral, it makes me happy. For the colors alone, I am sad that Apple has discontinued the XR. I love how the light/brighter colors don’t smudge like the black phones.

I do worry about being able to find parts for it, cases, etc. but I should not worry so much because neither of my XRs had lasted a year without major problems. Crashes often. Problems with the sound and mic leave me unable to use dictation and hear anyone at all on the Coral phone without Speaker on, which makes it awful for public use.

The camera is cloudy. I’m hoping I can get that fixed. I know that using your phone can make things clog, stick, etc. but I never had those issues with my regular series iPhones, all the way back to iPhone 4.

These just seem junkier. My black XR has also had sound issues. I like being able to use a waterproof phone purse because there’s no home key but these Facial recognition phones keep recognizing me and turning the volume, way, way down when I’m on the phone.

A long series of steps shuts off this automatic volume adjustment, but I’ve had to do it several times. It just starts doing it again, out of the blue. The StraightTalk service is the worst. When I got my 2nd phone, they transferred service and shut my main phone off, despite begging and explaining 20 times.

Then, when I went to reactivate my new phone, I begged them to give me 2 separate phones with different numbers and Apple IDs but they linked them. I got the new phone for more storage so it was pointless.

They said I HAD to have the phones’ Apple IDs linked which I know is not true from when I set up a new phone. Now my phones ring at the same time and I can’t call my phone to locate. Everything that goes onto one is on the other.

Straight Talk won’t separate them unless I start over with a new SIM and I don’t think they provide that anymore and hear the BYOP cards are a nightmare, plus I don’t know if they work on Straight Talk phones.

I understand that this is a review of the phone but since it is only useable with Straight Talk, I have to review that. as well. They had improved greatly before Covid-19. I will never again reactivate a Straight Talk phone if I need storage (though I did not choose to deactivate and begged them not to).

I will only buy new phones and set them up myself. I spent over 11 hours on the phone to them trying to sort out the mistake, to no avail. Good service isn’t cheap and cheap service isn’t good, but I’m broke so what can I do? All that aside, I will sorely miss my colorful phones.

This mint iPhone XR is a great phone at a great price. Keeping up with technology can be daunting these days. I choose to stay with state of the market models rather than state of the art. Personally, I buy my used Apple iPhones and iPads a couple generations back.

Swappa gear meets my needs. These folks are a terrific source for used technology at a fraction of the price of brand new models. As an engineer in the computer industry, I am well aware that most of the gee-wiz features and functions of the latest technology are rarely worth the often insane prices charged.

In my experience, the bells and whistles rarely justify the price. I just replaced my iPhone 8 Plus (great phone) with an iPhone XR (frankly, a very minor upgrade — nearly the same phone minus the home button).

Savvy buyers often buy mint used gear and turn it over every couple years or so. Candidly, this way, the out of pocket cost for staying relatively current on personal tech become more like a small rental fee.

Swappa is the best place I’ve found to get mint condition used products at attractive prices. After several satisfied purchases, I am completely confident the item I see listed on Swappa is the product I will receive.

So here’s my opinion – I can’t stand the whole “Apple” vs “Android” battle with people. To each his own. What works for you is best for you. That being said, this is my personal opinion: I have had IPhones for years.

I do not get the newest one every time they come out. I treat my phones well with a protective case and screen. But I also live a busy active life and drop my phones and they get bumped around a bit.

iPhones have always been great for me and durable. When upgrading to a new phone the transition is always easy and I never lose pictures / data / accounts because the transfer of info is always easy.

I love how easy it is to share things with other iPhone users. The cameras are great and getting better. I have no complaints and would highly recommend. I will say if you want a phone and you are very concerned about the camera feature, the Google Pixels cameras are superior BUT from what I have seen in the new iPhones, their cameras are catching up.

And from recently transferring /upgrading my husbands Google phone, the process is not as easy and he’s having random issues with not receiving basic phone notifications and things. So overall, it’s all about your needs, and life style but in my opinion, you can’t go wrong with an iPhone and I have been happy with mine.

I bought the new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 512GB, phone on Sunday 19th June 2022 at JB HI FI Forrest Chase. My previous phone was Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and it was a great phone, but I do miss the micoSD plus Samsung Pay does not do magnetic strip thing anymore, oh well, what can I do and/or others.

This new Galaxy S22 Ultra is insanely smooth such as 120Hz with QUADHD+. I currently don’t have a case and screen protection at all, I don’t mind if I drop this phone that cost RRP: AUD $2149, when it was released earlier this year.

The battery is a big difference such as 4500mA on the previous phone and now 5000mA, better & faster processor and efficient chip on S22 Ultra, solid built phone. Camera system is truly amazing with 4 camera at the back compared to just 3 on my previous phone.

The Camera software and hardware is much different with them both as the S22 Ultra is a whole new level with pictures and videos quality even with low light. The apps are much more stable than the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra for some reason, not sure why.

This phone battery is being protected by the 85% maximum charge capacity which in terms longer battery life as well as degrading at a slower rate. Overall it is the best investment for me personally, it maybe out of your price range or if you have enough I suggest buy it.

This phone might or might not suit you, so please ask your service provider such as Telstra, Vodafone, Optus or others. If you are buying outright please ask the sales representative and ask as many questions before purchasing this product such as JB HI FI, Samsung, Officeworks, Good Guys and other retailers.

If you can please research your own as well such as reviews, canstar reviews, choice reviews, Google reviews, retailers stores reviews and others. If it is right for your needs the go ahead and purchase this Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 128GB or 256GB or 512GB or 1TB (Only at Samsung online).

Please don’t take my word for it as personal preference is different to me and you and to others. You might like it or hate it or neutral or love it or the worst ever phone, no one can ever agree to the same phone or others, we are all different ways of thinking.

Just in general please feel the phone at one of the retailers such as a demo or at their stands, whichever suits you. In terms of purchasing this product I saved approximately $524. 00 RRP for this phone, therefore I spent $1625 for the 512GB S22 Ultra.

This phone is a very nice phone but the release stock was rough as many people didn’t receive it on time due to supply issues which I understand but once it arrived I began to use this phone daily from second week of March I believe.

Display: The screen is amazing and pretty much most Samsung amoleds are these days. I have used the note 20 ultra and s21 ultra and this one is amazing in color reproduction, clarity and it’s very very bright just like those were.

Camera: the main camera is sharp and vibrant and packs a punch in various shooting situations, the wide angle is great in sharpness and color and has a pretty wide field of view. The telephoto 3x and 10x and great and I think best telephoto on any phone currently due to having both 3x and 10x optical giving more clarity at those zooms and further digital zooms.

The night mode is improved and pretty amazing. The night mode on Samsung phones were already amazing but wow it’s even better here. One of the best cameras I’ve used. If anyone is wondering though this camera vs iphone 13 pro max I would say this one is better due to the better overall.

Iphone 13 pro is amazing but this is even higher. Battery Life: The battery the past almost two months has been pretty good and easily gets me through my day considering that this phone does so much.

I do wish it to last a bit more though and maybe that’s asking too much haha. I have been spoiled a bit by the iphone 13 pro max which the battery lasted for days without a charge but this phone is way more feature packed than any iphone although I love iphone too.

45 watt charging is overdue upgrade and it’s fast enough to charge up while I get ready for work or when I’m about to go out so no issues there. Performance/Software: When the phone first released it was quite buggy the software.

To be frank it was jittery and stuttering all over the place but the March update fixed so many bugs and now the phone runs much smoother but there are still bugs here that hopefully Samsung will get rid of in the coming months because as of right now even though the phone is running nicely it’s not as smooth as last years s21 ultra or even the note 20 from 2020.

Hardware wise this phone is More powerful than both of the phones I just mentioned but so far the software bugs are my only real gripes so if someone is considering this phone I’d like to share my experience on that.

It’s just the overall 120hz doesn’t feel entirely smooth and Polished as it seems to drop down, along with some stutters in scrolling, and animations. Once everything is polished I will give it a five star.

Overall quite a nice phone just wish the software was polished out of box.

First, the phone was delivered without any instruction manual so I had to find things on my own. I wanted a simple basic flip phone so my first impression was this would be just perfect. However, things went south quickly.

Inconsequential differences were immediately apparent such as limited selection of ring tones and backgrounds. However, a fully charged battery, with little to no use throughout the day, barely lasts the day; for comparison, my old phone battery would go three days without a charge.

No matter the setting you choose, the “back-light” on the phone stays on for extended periods which I believe is the main contributing factor. Three weeks into owning the phone, with very little usage, the menu buttons started to function intermittently.

The keyboard is extremely sensitive and often requires multiple pecks before registering the selection. I have found that a “light” touch is the preferred method for this phone. Reception is intermittent at the office.

This may have something to do with my location but my old phone didn’t have near the reception issues this phone does. I almost always have to go outside to get a good signal. Texting can be frustrating on this phone too.

If you select the incorrect “backup” key while typing, strange characters (usually theletter “s”) begin to appear on screen and many times will not go away; cancelling and starting over is the only good solution.

This is very frustrating when approaching the end of a long text message. The physical aspects of the phone seem very good; I would even suggest “robust”. It’s a little larger than my previous flip-phone (one reason I chose this brand, for the larger screen) and the colors are pleasing.

I also like that when the phone is in my pocket I don’t accidentally turn down the phone volume; that was a huge problem with my previous phone. I’m sure it’s possible I just got a lemon and I need to continue to make lemonade for as long as I need to.

Finally, the only reason I did not attempt to return the phone (it’s still just one month since purchase) is that I was so excited when it came that I tossed the original packaging. According to the warranty, original packaging is required for return/refund.

The amount of use it gets (I’m not a big phone person; two to three calls per day plus a couple of texts) doesn’t justify replacing it just yet.

Where do I begin? This phone is not elderly/user friendly. We purchased this for my grandmother who had come from a perfectly fine LG flip phone of 7 years. She doesn’t really know how to navigate things, as it can be a bit difficult for her to understand.

It took me a couple days just to teach her how to put the phone on speaker. She has accidentally left this phone on airplane mode for weeks at a time and could not figure out how to take it off. Same with the flashlight.

She often complains how if she’s on a call and someone else calls her, she’ll lose both lines trying to accept the second call. Two of the WORST experiences we’ve had with this phone include how the call waiting beep WILL.

NOT. STOP. Often times my grandma is on long calls with her church’s prayer line. If someone calls her during this time, it’s “boop-boop. Boop-boop. Boop-boop” over and over EVEN AFTER she hangs up! I don’t understand how that’s possible.

The only way to get around this is to remove the phone’s battery. The other worst experience is at times the phone’s numeric buttons will suddenly not respond. As my grandmother lives 30 minutes away and it is not always easy for us to get to her, it was very frustrating and worrying going some time without seeing a call from her.

Overall, this phone was an absolute ripoff at 50 bucks. This phone should have never been manufactured.

I received exactly what I ordered. It took some time to get used to the phone since I’ve never used this one before, but now I’ve had it for awhile and I like it. I had a 3G phone and needed a 4G. My provider’s SIM card works just fine with it.

Many of the other reviewers seem to have problems that can be solved with the settings on the phone. The manual can be found online, as almost all manuals can. Even though I don’t use it, the phone has Internet access which makes it a tad bigger and heavier than my previous flip phone.

If I had to complain about one thing, it would be that to me the phone looks like a toy cellphone. But that certainly doesn’t affect it’s operation, which is fine by me. I hope to use this phone for a long time.
