15 Best Telescopic Pool Pole (2022 Updated)

I’m a first-time pool owner for about two years now, inground pool. A lot to learn. I’m a buy-the-best-I-can-afford type person and have learned what is cheap and what is not over the two years. THIS pole is NOT cheap stuff and worth every penny.

The reviews were good and I took a chance on a new (to me) brand, Splash. This was purchased with the Splash net and both are of very high quality and design. Been using about a week now and don’t foresee any problems in the near future.

I would buy this again.

I’m very disappointed in this telescopic pole. After the 3rd time using this product the pole connections did not hold extension poes in place. I’m in pretty good shape where I go to the gym about twice a week and it didn’t matter how hard I tried to hand tighten the white coupling nuts which hold the extension poles in place they would come lose when I tried to sweep my pool.

The length that works is about 5ft. Do not buy this telescopic pole if you need something longer than 5 ft.

At first I was impressed. Reducing the length for storage was great. The problem I’m having that at very hard “hand tight”, it the pole sections still telescope (shorten length). I can tighten it with channel locks before and after each use.

It is not what I expected.

This vac pole is a thick gauge, light, with great locking cams. Highly recommend. Pool Supply Unlimited sent wrong item, but quicky shipped the right item. Great customer service.

Having purchased both aluminum and fiberglass poles in the past this is by far the best one. It’s sturdy and the locking mechanisms lock tight, no more slipping sections. It is also the longest pole I have ever used.

That cut time off. Time will tell how well it will last. I would, and have recommended this to my friends.

I’ve been in the pool service industry for over 20 years. This is by far the best pole I have ever used. The dual cam and collar locks are by far the most secure around, a must when you’re using a steerable vacuum head.

The tubing is lightweight and incredibly strong with very little flex. I would 100% recommend this pole to any service technician in the business. Simply amazing.

This poles seems like a good idea: stores nice and compact and then expands for use. However, there are some practical issues. First, I had to tighten the connections down pretty hard in order to keep the pole from slipping.

Once tightened, it was difficult to loosen especially because I had wet hands. Second, I tried to fully expand one of the sections but what I didn’t realize is that I had expanded it too much and when I went to use it, the pole twisted in the connector and cracked it.

Yes, it was user error but it would be nice if the pole had a marking on it to indicate “maximum extension” seeing that there is a spot where the connector will break. I used this for about 6 months before it became unusable.

Sturdy, light-weight, attractive and super easy to adjust. The grey colour looks much nicer than the aqua blue ones out there. I have seen some concerning listings with review photos of the rod being bent, but having used the product, I really have a hard time imagining that happening under normal circumstances.

Hasn’t broken or rusted or anything. I just recently moved to FL and purchased this for my pool since the previous owners used a pool service. I was skeptical with some of the reviews but like most DiscoverMyStore purchases i figured ill try it if it doesn’t work i will send it back or just call it a loss.

Well as soon as i received it I went right into my backyard and started getting all the nature preserve pine needles and maple leaves out of my pool. Yes i used this along with the hydro tools rake net and skimmer net as well, obv.

LOL. I’ve used this everyday since, no screen enclosure yet so of course it’s getting a lot of use! (Not only that because the trees are on the nature preserve there is no cutting them down!) If you go with anything go with this pole and these 2 attachments as well.

The rake is awesome because it has a lip so when you just walk along the pool it picks up the pine needles and leaves that went to the bottom. The skimmer i use for the floating leaves and bugs that fly into the pool.

The pole also extends at 2 points, you just unscrew the white parts and make it shorter or longer to what you need. I recommend it!***. com.

I was amazed to begin with by the pool pole being 20% thicker. It is still light, to carry, however, because it is made from anodized aluminum. It is built well, but not too heavy. It is extra long to get to where you need to work in the swimming pool.

It is a pro deluxe which makes it super nice. I love the plastic with the handle around it for storage and carrying. This keeps it clean. It adjusts easily, attaches easily to the rest of the pole as well as to the leaf screens, etc.

It is smooth, no way to get cut on it, also the gripper handle is just awesome. My favorite part of all, is the extra thickness to make it last much longer, but yet it is light to use in the pool being made from aluminum.

It is longer than the pole we previously had, so that makes it easier to reach further out in the pool and to the bottom to pick up leaves, dirt, etc. You can also make it shorter than the 15 feet, if you need it shorter, that is also a great feature as you can make it the length you need for the job.

I believe the 20 percent more thickness is the main reason I would recommend this pole to people over the other ones on the market. I would tell my friends, this pole is professional and 20 % thicker and will last much longer than the other poles.

I own multiple telescopic swimming poles. I have to say this is a great buy! It is strong, easily detachable and love how you can take it apart quickly on the spot as needed. Don’t get me wrong it is strong, but not rock strong.

I was going to use it to also help me move gigantic big rocks that accidentally fell to the bottom of my pool, but I could feel that it might buckle. I decided not to do this. I have a rock solid pole made by Stanley Commercial Grade and it is rock solid, problem is the middle locking area does not stay put and the pole does not stay in place.

I have been looking for another Stanley Commercial grade one and cannot find one.

We have a large in-ground cement pool, about 30,000 gallons. We use this pole for our vacuum and brush/sweeper heads and have had no problems with it bending or warping in the deep end (which is what we were worried about after reading other reviews).

We love it, works for us! We also bought the U. S. Pool Supply Professional 16 Foot Blue Anodized Aluminum Telescopic Swimming Pool Pole, Adjustable 2 Piece as well to test out to see which we like better.

But we love that pole just as much – no bending or warping on that one either. Both work great for us, especially in the deep end applying pressure while sweeping/brushing.

For the price I don’t think you’re going to find a better pool Pole. I bought this to replace our old telescopic pole. That adjusted by opening Clips which had broken. This pole adjusts by turning the pieces.

I prefer that because obviously the clips broke on my last one and now I can’t adjust the length at all. I just used the new Paul to brush and skim out to the pool. It was a lot easier to handle. Adjusting the length is very easy.

I like the fact it can be used at 5 ft which made things easy when it came to brushing the spa. I would buy this pole again and I would recommend it.

After 35 years my old pole’s twist cam finally gave out. I purchased the Blue Wave pole on April 23, 2019. 90 day warranty. It lasted 93 days before the plastic front ferrule cracked into a dozen pieces.

The pole was not fully extended nor under extreme pressure. So cool! Make sure you purchase an appropriate saw to cut up your Blue Wave Pole for Pools so that it can fit into your recycling bin!.

I love this aluminum pole. It’s universal size fits all my nets and brushes for my pool. It’s long enough that I can walk the perimeter of my pool and scoop up and debris my vacuum missed. When I opened my pool this spring, I made the big mistake of using the net to scoop muck off the bottom so I bought this one hoping it would fit all my accessories (and, it does).

Next spring, I’ll let my robotic cleaner clean the muck and use the pole to pick up what it might’ve missed.

I received the Mainstays 14 ft Telescopic pole. This pole is used to clean out swimming pools. It arrived is two pieces. Both of those were about 4 feet long. After loosening the blue knobs on the main pole, then extending the pole, tighten the knobs back to make sure the pole stays extended, and finally attaching the other 4 feet pole, you have a 14 foot long pole.

It can be adjusted to a shorter length. I know of a couple of different attachments, that are purchased separately, that go on the end of the pole. One is a skimmer head and the other is a brush. The skimmer head is used to dip out leaves, bugs, or anything else that does not belong in your pool.

The brush allows you to scrub away any algae that may have accumulated on the bottom or sides of the pool. The pole is made out of aluminum. I have owned a couple of these in the past. I have never had them to rust.

The pole is also very strong. I end up hitting the side of the pool with the pole to get any thing stuck on the skimmer to fall off. Smaller, flimsier poles will dent and bend the pole. The heavier, telescopic pole does not dent or bend when I do that.

This pole is great for above or in ground pools of any size.

We received this Mainstays 14ft Telescopic pole today and we immediately took it out of the box and I might mention that it was packaged very nicely with bubble wrap around it in the box so that it would not be scratched.

We attached it to the Mainstay pool net that we had bought to go along with it and it fit perfectly in the slots. We took it out to the pool and started using it to catch all of the tiny bugs and debris that were on top of the water and it worked great.

I also had some stuff that was on the bottom of the pool floor and I just took this telescopic pole and inserted it in the water of the pool it worked really good and it got it all in one scoop, I was very impressed.

I look forward to having this when there are leaves flying around and getting in the pool as with this it will stay nice and clean with very little effort. I also like it that I can scoop up quickly any bee that lands in the pool so that nobody gets stung.

It is made very well of good strong material and it has like 3 levels of reach for however long you want the pole. It is a wise investment and it will last a long time.

I love this pool pole! It’s sturdy and easy to bc extend. The reason for 4 stars is that it was difficult to attach the 2 poles. I was afraid I would have to return it. Luckily I thought if coconut oil.

Rubbed some on the inside of one of the poles and it worked! The poles attached and I didn’t have to return it. I recommend this product with this one caveat.

Cheaper poles are worthless. This is the minimum quality I would buy. I broke mine after a few months of light use. It was my fault I guess since I was lightly prying against the side of the pool to break the suction of the vacuum against the bottom of the pool and once the tubing bent it broke clean through.

I would have hoped for a little thicker tubing, but lesson learned. It does bend when fully extended moving the manually plaster pool vacuum from one end of the pool to the other. The cams usually hold pretty tight.

Will consider buying again or upgrading to something with a lifetime warranty.

I like this telescoping pole, but when I had it extended to brush the deep end of my pool the extended piece bent very slightly and now it won’t retract inside of the other pole. Really disappointed because I’ve only used it a couple of times since I recently purchased it.

I wasn’t even putting much pressure on the pole, just pulling the brush upwards towards me instead of pushing the brush away from me. Something I’ve done several times in the 20 years I’ve owned a pool and maintained myself.

Never had a pole bend like that and really surprised how easily it bent. I’m over 60 and no hulk either.

I bought this pole to go with the top quality leaf net that I bought at the same time. This pole is easy to work and the adjusting mechanism is quality and woks quickly and efficiently. I really like this pole and its quality.

The only thing that concerns me about this pole is that it is metal and conducts electricity. With it long length it is easy to bump into power lines near the pool so it is important to be careful when you have it fully extended.

However, the fact that it is metal makes it top quality and I think it will last me a long time.

The sad truth is, all pool equipment bites the dust due to chlorine and sun exposure. I know that I am lucky to get a season or two from a pool skimmer. I compared this new skimmer to another I recently bought, and heres what I found.

– The plastic mesh screening was about the same weight/density and wrinkly (not drawn taut to the frames) for both, and the competitors cost considerably less than this one. – This skimmer has plastic shaft, and we do have to sometimes bang the frame against a hard surface to get leaves, bugs, etc.

to release from the screen. This no doubt weakens the shaft over time and it breaks. In fact, this is an exact replacement for one where the shaft broke (and it wasnt that old). The competitors skimmer has an aluminum shaft, and to be honest the shaft is what usually breaks after repeated use.

– There is a thin or waterfall edge to this skimmer which does well for trying to lift items off the bottom of the pool. The competitors skimmer with the aluminum shaft but a rolled edge will be fine for surface skimming (which is where most of the debris is), but will not do well for trying to lift items off the bottom of the pool.

Therefore, we are going to use each skimmer for specific purposes; the aluminum shaft for topside and this thin-edge for underwater. Overall I would recommend this skimmer for the reasons above. If you are a pool owner, you cant expect any kind of equipment to last more than a season or two unless you constantly rinse items with fresh (unchlorinated) water and store out of the sun.

These things help extend the life and most of us dont do that. Opinions are honest and 100% my own. I test items bought at full price and at a discount, and am truthful in both situations (as I depend on the honest reviews of others in making my own purchasing decisions).

This will sound crazy but I have a miniature poodle who has bad cataracts. She has fallen in my pool twice. The first time I almost lost her because it took so long to get to her. So, I bought this soft basket net and the next time she fell in, I was able to fish her out immediately.

Probably not a use that the manufacturer anticipated, but I am so grateful it works!.

I have had this leaf rake for several years. It works very well and was inexpensive. It is more flexible than others which makes it easier for a single pass with good results. The drawback is the connector from the pole to the rake deteriorates.

I believe the UV destroyed the white plastic but only on the connector. The rake is fine but you can’t use it anymore since the connector is hexagonal and nothing will fit it. This new one is Blue in color and my hope is that the UV will not destroy the hex connector.

Either way, I will continue to buy and recommend this leaf rake.

I purchased this pole to have a brush attached for brushing the pool. It is sturdy, easy to adjust length, locks so stays put. Much better for me vs twist lock for adjusting length. still feels good at full extension.

Prior to purchasing this pole I used two of the standard twist cam pool poles. Being that vacuuming involves applying torque to the pole to jog the vac head, I would cinch down each pole with wrenches at my preferred lengths and then switch out poles as needed.

Now I have one great, easy to adjust pole. My wife now has a happy Cabana Boy.

I am 63 and have always done a lot of my own household work, but a couple of years ago, I slipped off a ladder and fell, and my wife banned all ladders and roofs. Our house gets a LOT of leaves and twigs year round, and I got sick and tired of paying a hundred bucks for some 16 year old to jump up on my roof and blow off the leaves.

So I bought this product with the idea of adding a garage broom and brushing the leaves off by myself. I went to LOWES and bought a slightly smaller and lighter weight push broom for $13, Then i had to throw away the stupid pole that comes with it (what a waste).

Anyway, this was 15 inches wide instead of a typical garage push broom of 18 inches, but only weighed about HALF as much, and that is the SECRET to my success. This telescopic pole can easily lift the broom head to it’s full height, but when you get it to about 15 degrees above level, it starts to BEND under the weight.

At that point, I usually put the bulk of the weight on the ROOF and NOT THE POLE, which is probably the right way to go about this. Anyway, the POLE works GREAT and I am extremely pleased with it. Now I brush off my roof about once a month, concentrating on built up piles of twigs and leaves, which are the root of my problem in the first place.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT!But you have to understand that it has weight limitations when fully extended (as one would expect!).

Used, $ quite friendly, delivered well cared for. The tool is seemingly one of the best production telescoping tool available for the general public. I have not used it as the attachment head will not work for my tools.

No problem? I ordered another head to fit my needs.

I haven’t yet used it as I bought it to string lights in a tree for Christmas. However, testing it out I determined it will do the job perfectly once I devise a nook for the end. It’s a little wobbly when fully extended but even then a great improvement over the 1 x 2’s I was using.

I can’t really judge the quality yet because I haven’t used it yet.

i didnt know you could buy a pool poll extension repair kit after years of not giving it a second thought my pool pole stays full length for as long as i wast it to now.
