Some cons that it has is that the remote controller does not work if you are too far from the TV. Also the batteries that come inside of the remote don’t last very long and you have to replace them with your own.

Sometimes the surround sound can be too sensitive and cause echoing from the TV. Sometimes the sound gets very static for a period but that is a minor issue. Static only happens for about 3 seconds or less.

I really like this Product. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting to buy a new TV for their home. It is very reliable for a great TV watching experience. It is definitely worth all of the money that it costs.

I would purchase this item again just to have one of the best products that Samsung has.

A perfect TV for those looking for a good TV that won’t break the bank. Don’t expect QLED or OLED picture quality BUT if you are upgrading from an older LED/LCD you will notice a nice jump in picture quality.

The jump in picture quality from a 10 year old Samsung was readily apparent. The unit is also very light weight so getting it out of the box is easily accomplished by just 1 person. If you have limited space where you are going to place the TV on top of, the distance between the leg stands is just shy of 35 inches meaning the TV can be placed on a fairly small coffee table, bookcase, or other piece of furniture.

Many other TV’s have leg stands that are extremely spread out, almost to the edges of the actual unit. With some adjustments the colour reproduction is very pleasing. I was very surprised how good 4k Netflix looked both in colour and how detailed the picture was.

The remote is decent but I found myself going back to my Cable providers remote as it just has more options. The TV has an excellent set up feature when you first turn it in. Easy to follow and get rolling within 5 minutes.

The sound is typical of that from a TV these days. Passable but not definitely not optimal. I was able to get slightly deeper sound by adjusting the equalizer but the reality is TV speakers are there as a last resort.

This is a great TV when you accept what it is. A mid range LED TV with good colour and picture. A better unit will cost hundreds more. But for the price I felt good having a name brand TV that has a track record of producing solid TVs.

We bought the TV about 3 months ago so have had time to work out how this unit is to ‘live’ with. We found an exceptional deal with Appliances Online (approx AUD $2500) which was up to $1000 less than some retailers.

As with any large TV it’s a slightly nerve shredding task to attach the stand and handling a large fragile TV is difficult. However the overall setup and tuning was extremely easy. It looks great with the stand being stylish and keeps the TV very stable.

Picture quality and brightness are great as you’d expect from a 4K HDR TV. Our last TV was a 8 year old top of the range Samsung 1080p HD TV but found the backlighting slightly blotchy – no such issues here.

On the new TV despite ‘only’ being edge lit and not full array I was surprised at the contrast and uniform back lighting even during night/dark scenes. I can’t comment on sound quality as it’s always been hooked up to a home theatre system.

The remote is probably the most polarising aspect of this model. It has very few buttons and at first might seem a bit ‘budget’ orientated and somewhat short on features but in fact has turned out to be mostly the exact opposite.

It’s an unusually small if somewhat stylish remote that fits very comfortably into your hand. WIth so few buttons I’m now able to use it without looking at it – a good thing since the buttons are small and not backlit.

The only downside I’ve found it that you can’t just punch in a channel number – you have to either flick through the channels using the up/down button or go into the on screen menu to flick through the channels there.

Slightly annoying but not a big issue. I am very surprised and impressed that when we connected a new Playstation 5 in via the HDMI game port that the PS5 will turn the TV on when itself is switched on and inversely once the TV is turned on and the game console channel selected it will turn on the PS5.

The TV remote can also be used to scroll through the PS5 game menus too. One note worth mentioning is that the game port needs to be used and functions enabled via on screen menus on the TV to allow full 4K HDR 200Hz refresh when using a PS5 to its full graphic capability which also seemed to require a higher spec HDMI cable than the one that came with the PS5.

Overall a positive experience so far and highly recommend for a balance in my opinion of price, features and quality.

this is a proprietary smarttv platform, not androidtv. it means you may not find the app for this tv unless it is very popular. what makes me infuriating is its dlna function. 1. when you add a new file in your nas, samsung tv will detect it.

however, when you delete the file, samsung will not reflect the change. in other word, samsung assumes you may add things to your video library, but never delete them! 2. the idea of play video files locally is that i can have something to watch if the internet is down.

unfortunately, its dlna client is 100% internet dependent. it means even if you are trying to play a local mp4 file from your nas to samsung tv on the same local network, it will not work. technical support is no help.

no more samsung for me, period.

I have had a few so-called smart tv’s and was never really impressed. I would still hook up an external device to stream content and never really use the “smart” features since they were normally slow and difficult to navigate.

After getting this latest Q70T 4K, I am nothing less than impressed. The picture is beautiful, which is why I bought it. Little did I know, just how awesome all the other features were. I’m not sure if the fact that I have a Samsung phone makes everything so much easier or not, but all I have to do is tap my S10+ on the tv and it will go into mirroring.

That alone was pretty cool. After pairing my phone, I didn’t even have to put in my WiFi info. It automatically labeled my source inputs, it took care of a lot of the tedious things that make you not want to get a new tv because you don’t want to have to set up again.

The biggest thing that blew my mind is the Samsung TV channels. I had no idea! All I do is stream so I canceled cable and have internet only. After seeing that it had that, I figured there was some sort of subscription or something.

Nope, all free. Overall, I am extremely happy with this tv. I am still working with the voice controls, but I am sure that is me. You can choose from multiple platforms (Alexa, google, Bixby, etc) and I just haven’t made up my mind which one I want to use.

I’ve had a number of LG OLED’s over the years my first being the E7. What I can say without doubt is that each year they continually improve and add features. The C2 being the latest iteration. First impressions the box…not very exciting but it’s clear to see that LG are paying close attention to their green credentials.

Previous models came in a heavily branded and glossy box this year its a more understated and plain brown box, much better for recycling I’m sure. Once inside I was happy to see the remote has been updated as it has remained the same for the past few years, still very good feel in the hand and the great gesture control I have gotten used to.

The supplied stand is sturdy and was easy to put together the tv will eventually be going on the wall I just haven’t decided what wall bracket to go for yet. One area where I would like to see improvement for 2023 models is better cable management, the C2 does have some basic cable management but I wouldn’t consider it very robust.

On powering up for the first time I was pleased to see LG have improved upon the initial setup, from previous experience this could be a little tedious but it’s clear to see this is something they have worked on and the tv is much better for it.

I don’t use a TV Ariel and get everything via my sky box which is connected to 1 of the 4 high speed HDMI ports, it was detected first time and the input labelled correctly. 2 of the 3 remaining inputs are taken by a PS5 and an XBOX Series X.

One of my main reasons for purchasing the TV was its gaming features and the fact that all 4 HDMI ports are full bandwidth, some competing TV’s only have 1 or 2 full bandwidth ports. My other big use case for the TV is the inbuilt apps of which there are plenty to choose from! I watch a lot of YouTube, Netflix and Amazon prime and all of the apps perform well and open quickly.

The TV’s interface has changed to a full screen layout which I must admit I preferred the older style which only took up the bottom half of the screen, however the main thing is that it performs well and is quick to respond and intuitive to use and didn’t take long to get used to.

The picture quality is great regardless using an external source or the inbuilt apps however this is something I have come to expect over the years from OLED displays. Overall I’m extremely happy with my purchase and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this model to others seeking a premium full featured TV for either content consumption or gaming.

The LG OLED65C24LA is my first foray back into home AV kit that isn’t just something slightly above the budget offering. Having just ‘made do’ for the better part of the last decade, my kids are now that bit older, so I can (just about) trust them not to smash anything – plus, they’re on the games consoles even more than I am now, so I decided an investment for all our entertainment needs was in order.

Having run the rule over the much vaunted C1 from 2021, I was intrigued by the early talk of the C2 actually managing to be an improvement on its forerunner – not so much that you’d necessarily upgrade from one to the other, but for anyone who hasn’t upgraded their screen in the last five years, this was going to be a treat for the eyes! And what a treat it is – moving from 50 to 65 inches, I knew my lounge was big enough for the screen once it was in place, but getting it there was quite the trick! Even though this display is incredibly light yet surprisingly solid, this size of panel is really just beyond the limits of manageable for one person to manoeuvre and position effectively.

The good lady wife was on-hand to assist, albeit with hushed mumbles of ‘it’s too big’ – now it’s in pride of place, the screen sits perfectly in my field of view from my favoured seat. But it’s a stunning looker wherever I sit – with patio doors to the north of the lounge and a large window to the south, I had been hoping that the talk of the C2 being able to handle reflections really well wasn’t just fluff – it’s not, whatever this filter or coating is, it’s incredible! Even with light pouring through the front blinds, it has to be a particularly static dark scene and for me to really go looking for the reflections before I notice anything off-putting.

I’ve kept my old soundbar plinth for now – it’s served me well for six years, it’s not the most full-featured but it still sounds good; that said, the pseudo-surround effects put out by the speakers on the C2 really were quite impressive and I probably will try it out more over time – just not when I’m playing back all my metal favourites that require that extra oomph in the bass department.

Fantastic remote and slick interface – the kids are already controlling by voice and pointer – apps are really snappy feeling, but I can’t help but wish I could cast direct to the C2. Enjoyed loads of UHD football and 120hz gaming – like honey wearing silk, so smooth! My telly for the next decade!.

I recently received my 65 inch LG C2 Oled and have been thoroughly enjoying using it on a daily basis with a variety of content. The delivery was was swift and without issue, the tv was securely packaged inside the box and easy to take out.

The TV is very light and the instructions are simple and straight forward enough that I was able to put it together on my own. The size of the TV was perfect for my space, and the slick design with the slim bevel makes it look even bigger in person.

The TV has got 4 high speed HDMI 2. 1 ports, one of them being an Arc/E-Arc port, making it easy to pair with a sound bar/surround sound system. Also, being HDMI 2. 1, it supports 120 Hz 4K HDR content, this ensures you get the best possible picture and performance from your devices and content.

Being an avid gamer, I spent some considerable time playing on my PS5, and the TV excels at this, it has a dedicated Game mode, that reduces the input lag of your controller and ensures you get an amazing picture in addition to silky smooth performance, there’s a lot more I can mention, but suffice to say, you wont find a better TV for gaming.

In regards to Movies and TV shows, the TV supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos; in addition to picture presets and Filmmaker mode. You also have the option to go in and finely tweak colours, brightness, contrast and all the other usual settings to your hearts desire as well try out the AI Picture mode, which tries to enhance the picture based on the content you’re watching; make sure to turn off the eco mode to really experience and enjoy the full brightness of the TV.

In addition to all this, there’s a bunch of other nifty features such as Universal Control, Web OS, a simple intuitive and fast performing user interface to access the TV settings as well as the Smart TV features and Apps.

Another cool feature is the Gallery mode, which displays different works of art which changes based on the time time intervals you set up. I have a Soundbar, it was easy to connect via the E-Arc port, going in to the settings and toggling on E-Arc ensures you get the best supported audio format and you can link your Soundbar to TV and use the built in sound modes to find the best match to the content your watching; Game, Cinema, and even AI Sound.

I am extremely pleased with the TV, it looks truly outstanding; gaming, watching movies and TV shows have never looked so good, I can’t recommend the TV enough, it’s the best TV I have owned!.

This is my very first 65″ and 4K TV. The QN60B Samsung QLED 4K Smart TV is absolutely amazing! It’s incredibly thin. Before I even did setup, just after installing it on the wall, I noticed that after using my Samsung phone, the TV had automatically recognized and connected to my Samsung soundbar through the software.

It recognized the series and everything. It automatically switched the volume over to the soundbar so that my Samsung TV remote volume buttons actually control the soundbar and not the TV volume. I didn’t have to download another app or find some deep-hidden setting.

It also easily connected to my Amazon account and for the first time, I can change my volume just by telling Alexa!!! The ease of having everything pretty much connect itself was amazing, no having to dive too deep into a manual or have to find some loop hole to get something to work.

One word for this TV? EASY! All of this in and of itself was awesome but the video. Oh my gosh, you would have thought this was a 3D TV. My husband and I watched The Walking Dead and it looks like you are standing right next to the actors.

It is so crisp and clear and we noticed how much detail in the picture we’ve never been able to pick up on before. We saw details that we had missed before because we can finally see!! Between the size and the QLED 4K, it reminds me of VR.

We watched a movie with the kids and even though it was an animated film, the picture quality makes it look like you are right there with the characters. It’s funny because we saw more of the mannerisms displayed by the characters in the way they moved and in their expressions – I felt like I was watching the movie for the first time.

Now, I haven’t previously owned a Samsung TV with this capability, but seeing it in QLED 4K, it changes the way you see movies and characters. My family and I are gamers. When we tested out with the Switch and played Mario Kart, we were thrilled that although we had to break up the screen for the four of us, it was so much easier to see! We each had 32″ for our viewing square!! I could make out better where I was going, was able to better see traps, and overall had a greater appreciation for the upgraded picture quality.

The kids absolutely loved it and wanted to stay up to see more movies in the better quality. Even the sound seemed better (matching electronics?). It’s amazing how much of a difference 4K is! I have received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.

*I received this product at discount price for my honest opinion* I bought Q60B 65″. I was skeptical at first reading all reviews comparing OLED and QLED. I tested this TV with all types of media: Sports, Movies, Music Videos, Photo Slides and used the Samsung’s OS for TV.

I believe this TV surpassed all my expectations. You can’t go wrong with Samsung. They have built this TV considering every aspect and functionality user might want in their TV. Let’s see each major aspect in detail: QLED and Quality: This 4K QLED Technology is very pleasing to the eyes and only noticeable difference to OLED while viewing this in Dark.

Other than QLED has everything if not better. I like how rich and smooth the display is for all kinds of content. Remote: I love how remote is solar powered and can charge with Type C cable which is normal for today’s gadgets.

There are no hassle with AAA batteries at all. Remote is small and compact and has all buttons needed and screen guides you which button to use OS: Samsung’s Tizen OS have all apps that you need and has organized everything perfectly.

It is smooth, fast & user friendly. Initial Setup was very easy to use and provided all the steps needed. (Samsung account needed but not mandatory). You can sync and add your TV to your phone(Smart things App).

You can control some of the features right from your phone. You can even use it as computer with Dex. I love new features added like google Duo, MultiView screens (even you can save vcariants of your multiview), Supports Bixby, Google assistant and Alexa.

TV Size: TV is perfectly shaped with very very small bezels which make viewing superior. Moreover, TV is also very thin in depth which is perfect for mounting on wall or putting on stand. There are so many slots for HDMI cables and are placed on the right along with buttons for controlling the interface.

Things to Improve: – I noticed small blur while playing high action games like COD and rarely response time takes a hit but nothing major – Limited to 60hz is also not high profile for Gaming but it gets the job done and not noticeable after playing for few minutes Other than these caveats, this TV is perfect for consuming all kinds of media and ideal for your needs.

You will not go wrong with this TV.

My initial thoughts while unboxing the 75” Samsung Q60B was how impressively slim both the width of the TV is as well as the bezel around the screen. This replaced a 2017 55” LG and even with the big upgrade in screen size, the Q60B still feels less obtrusive in my living room since it sits so much closer to the wall.

That being said, I was a bit disappointed when I noticed a gap between the back panel of the TV where it attaches to the screen in the top left corner. Definitely a slight manufacturer defect that I wouldn’t expect from a TV in this price range.

Luckily it doesn’t seem to affect the image quality but as the other three corners sit flush with the screen, it is a noticeable defect. After getting the TV mounted and turned on, the setup was pretty straight forward.

The SolarCell remote is awesome and can be charged with the built in solar panel on the back or via usb-c. The picture quality is incredible. I felt like I was watching newly remastered versions of existing TV shows.

There’s a noticeably wider range of colors than previous televisions I’ve had, but I will say that out of the box, the default picture settings can be a bit hot when it comes to whites or brighter scenes.

As far as gaming, there are times where dark objects on screen can be hard to differentiate from dark backgrounds. I do believe this can also be corrected by adjusting the picture settings, but it stood out as something I’d need to look into and work on.

Who do I think this TV is for? If you’re like me coming from an older, smaller entry level 4k television and you’re looking for a feature loaded TV with a size upgrade from a reputable brand that won’t break the bank, I highly recommend the 75” Q60B.

It looks more expensive than it is, and it’s got the tech to keep you happy for years to come. If you’re a gamer and willing to spend a bit more to get something with a 120hz refresh rate for your next gen console, you might want to hold off.

I was not pleased with this TV, primarily due to the software/operating platform. My kids’ top used app right now is HBO Max and this app would not run properly on this TV’s software. Other apps worked okay but there was still lagging and delays with overall performance.

Likewise with the remote, the TV was slow to pick up the signal when pressing buttons from the remote control. I would push a button and nothing would happen so then I would push it again, and the TV would execute the command twice which was pretty annoying (e.

g. , press the arrow right button to go to a specific app, nothing would happen so press the arrow right button again, and it would move two apps over). The other complaint I have is with the phone app that Samsung insists you must download.

I was inundated with a ton of ads to purchase upgrades and additional services and never could quite get the actual app to work properly. Many of the features in settings were unavailable to me and I never figured out why.

For example, when Best Buy came to pick up the TV (I returned it for reasons stated above), I realized I neglected to log out of all of my apps. I tried to quickly do a factory reset of the TV, and the option was unavailable to me.

There were a couple other instances where Samsung directed me to certain features and options in settings to fix XYZ issue that were also unavailable to me (can’t remember off the top of my head what they were).

I have wall mount hardware that was used for my prior TV that included universal screws to attach the mounting brackets. The instruction manual specified a certain size screw, but the specified screw was too short to attach to the brackets.

I ended up using a screw that was a couple mm longer and it worked out quite well. I read many of the one star and negative reviews on this TV and noticed how Samsung frequently came back with the fact that this is a budget version TV and not intended to be at the level of quality of their more expensive models.

Fine, but sell a TV that has software that works properly. I replaced this one with a different brand and did further research on the operating platforms. I was not impressed with this software (Tizen) and will be sure to steer away from all TVs or products using this platform in the future.

Ordered 75 inch Samsung smart tizen led on 12th July. was delivered on 20th July, as scheduled (awesome, 5* rating). Points I noticed: 1. The TV was kept upside down in the transportation vehicle when they got it out.

It’s transporter responsibility to keep it Right side up (0*). 2. The movers got it inside home in correct side up. Opened infront of me. Took pictures. Took signatures (5 to 6 signatures and I don’t know where I signed.

I was not given time to read. Not right standards. 0*). 3. Bestbuy should ensure that they allow time to plug the TV and check the screen. Majority of sophisticated TV’s have damaged screens as I read from various review channels.

If they wud have waited 3 minutes, it could have saved time because the Screen has internal bloating (refer pictures). Now I have to wait for them to allot time and pick it back again (waste of time).

0*. 4. In a proper boxed condition, if the screen has lines, then either the packaging was not proper which led to the screen getting damaged while transporting or the TV was faulty from beginning, which is Quality Check responsibility.

Who’s responsible here, Bestbuy or Samsung? 0* 5. I have to wait another 10+ days to get another set and don’t know if that is excellent or again faulty (it’s a nightmare to think). 0* 6. Storage: it’s a 75″ TV with extra spacing for box.

As unpacking was done by movers, i wasnt sure how to pack it back. Anyhow, gogle helped. Now, I have to store it until next piece arrives. Had to make large vacant space to store. Loss of space. 0*. Samsung and Bestbuy, they both need to upgrade their standards if they offer transportation.

I don’t know whose fault was this, but as a customer, I lost my TIME (time is precious for me), storage space and no TV unless the next piece arrives. it was an anniversary gift to my Spouse and now it’s in VAIN.

My surprise to my Spouse, gave me a surprise thru bestbuy/Samsung. But I still trust the Samsung brand as I have been using it from decades. considering human errors I am giving this one more chance to keep the trust on Bestbuy and Samsung.

I was extremely impressed with the picture and features on this TV, so much so, that I purchased a second unit for my Garage. Very sharp and high resolution with great color rendition. Very intuitive navigation software is easy to use and packed with great features.

The initial setup routine prompts guide you through the startup-configuration process seamlesy. The setup took less than 10 minutes and automatically downloaded and installed the available firmware updates.

I use both of these TV/Monitors with multiple inputs: Digital Antenna (Local TV Channels); HDMI – Blu Ray Input; Ethernet Internet (Hardwired) Streaming; HDMI-PC Input; USB – External Hard Drive Access and even Wi-Fi – for Streaming from my Smartphone – all function flawlessly.

The exceptional Input Reception Sensitivity for the integral Digital TV Tuner allows me to receive Air Channels which my older TV would not display due to low threshold signal strength. The free Samsung Digital TV Channels offer very good program content and is an added Plus.

This TV affords a lot of “Bang” for your “Buck” and outperforms many higher-priced TV’s and is a cut above many Competitors’ models based on my research. One thing that I wish Samsung would offer is a provision for storing an electronic copy of the comprehensive version of the User Guide directly on the TV proper (I use the USB-Connected External Hard Drive to view my downloaded copy of the User Guide for ready-reference).

EXCEPTIONAL 4K OLED TV the sound and display quality of the LG CX to me are immense, family compare the AI sound pro to that of a sound bar (there opinion) and say its great! I had done alot of research and went with the CX.

4x HDMI ports @4K120fps + Freesync Premium for the up coming new consoles. Comes with a Magic Remote which is basically a wireless mouse for TV. The web OS software built into the CX is broad and includes all the popular apps, super fast and responsive OS compared to friends and familys 4K TV’s.

My first purchase for a 4K TV is this one and i have no regrets, ive seen many 4K TVS in action and this one just stood out above the rest. Do some research on how to take care of your OLED before purchasing, OLED tvs are susceptible to something called “banding” which can appear either vertically or horizontally and look like lines that can be seen during certain movies, you will see a shadow like line or lines appear during movies or gaming scenes, believe me you cannot miss it.

Should you encounter this problem with the LG CX here’s abit of info: “banding” is a manufacturing fault, a panel defect. Should you be in warranty going through a claim and the manufacturer states: “banding” is within “spec” of your LG CX.

Tell them, which is your consumer right to request the LG CX TV specs in writing so that you can have an independent assessment done. They are not “spec” at all and by consumer law this would not be fit for its purpose making you eligible for a refund or replacement.

I personally would not be happy experiencing this issue and for the price would not accept it either. This doesnt get 5 stars simply due to care required for a TV and potential risk that comes with this technology.

I would also recommend getting an extended warranty for this TV. UPDATE. A few months after I wrote this review i experienced heavy banding, under warranty i received a brand new CX which i have now had for almost a year with no troubles.

LG customer service were really supportive and helpful as they understand this can happen with new technology and gave me peace of mind throughout the process and returned me a new CX as fast as they could.

I cannot speak for others however i do know that many people have had good experience with LG customer service regarding the CX.

It almost been a year since I had this tv. Bought it brand new. The picture quality is fantastic but I noticed it’s operations where difficult to use. Firstly you have to have cable otherwise when you turn it on it’s completely VERY loud static.

If you don’t you would have to research to find a feature in the settings to put a screen saver as a starting point. For a brand new tv in this day in age, I find it dumb to ever start that way, you know everyone streams everything.

Secondly, it’s not customizable at all. There really isn’t a point to have settings. It has programed setting that is one or another and the differences are very little or complete opposite (ex. Dark or bright; hd dark or hd bright) I wish you were able to choose an option and adjust the brightness like all other tvs.

I mean even tvs 90’s had those features. Then I started to have real problems. Because it is a smart tv it wants to do things for you but in my tvs case it thinks I should switch to hdmi when nothing is plugged in.

I could be watching a show on Netflix and then the screen pauses and goes to hdmi 1 with the screen saver on because nothing is connected to it. and if you don’t have the screen saver it would be the VERY loud static (it scared me, my girlfriend and her cats half to death, poor critters sprinted into the next room hiding under the bed).

I spoke with lg a few times about this issue. I had technician come out and install a brand new motherboard, problem wasn’t fixed. He came out a second time and the problem wasn’t fixed. I called them again, frustrated, and they said they would have to order the motherboard again, but it’s on back order and they don’t know when it is coming.

So I asked for my refund and they said they need 3 visits from a technician to before they believe me that there is something wrong with the tv. I sent them videos of it happening and nothing, waiting for a part that is on back order that has already been replaced.

I also had to have the entire panel(screen) replaced because there was a line through it.

Living in a small studio flat and using my TV as both computer monitor and TV I needed a sub 50″ screen size and the best quality image possible. Also essential to me were 4 HDMI inputs and optical sound output to my high end audio system.

Quality and not price was my main criteria as I spend hours each day working on my computer and in the evening relaxing and watching the TV or a movie. My eyes are more valuable to me than saving a few hundred pounds on the cost of a TV set! I seriously considered the Samsung Frame, Sony Bravia and Philips Ambilight 43″ models but none of these sport the OLED technology which in my opinion renders them inherently inferior.

Fortunately this LG OLED48CX5LC obviously does and by packing the same number of individually lit pixels into a smaller screen size at the same 3840×2160 resolution means the definition at my viewing distance is substantially better than their 55″ version whilst the feature set is otherwise identical.

Whether making the price of their 48″ several hundred pounds more than the 55″ version can be justified on this basis I somewhat doubt. I suspect it has more to do with the fact that they have you over a barrel if you want a “smaller” TV with an OLED screen.

But as in all things you get what you pay for and quality costs! Having had the TV for just under a week now I am unable to comment on reliability as only time will tell, but what I can say is that I am delighted with the image quality achieved from all input sources.

It is easy to see why What Hi-Fi and others have awarded such glowing reviews to this TV. The most obvious immediate thing is the fact that, courtesy of that OLED technology, at last black is truly inky black and white is pure white.

This may sound a bit daft but having now seen for myself the difference this makes to the whole rendition and perceived colour pallet, I could never go back to a non OLED screen unless absolutely forced to do so.

Also, unlike my previous TV which was an (at the time) high end back lit LED Samsung, this TV was basically picture perfect out of the box with no need to fiddle with numerous screen settings in order to achieve an optimum display.

It was a pleasant surprise to discover that NVidia’s G-Sync is supported which will make occasional game playing on my computer all the more enjoyable. Although I am surprised, and rather disappointed, that LG don’t currently (9/4/21) offer Windows 10 drivers for download from their support site and with the GeForce 1050Ti graphics card in my computer I am currently obliged to run at a 60Hz refresh rate to avoid annoying screen flicker.

Hopefully LG will address this anomaly in the near future. It was also rather irritating to be confronted with several different “manufacturer’s warranty registration” phone numbers, one stuck on the screen protection film and others on the numerous bits of paper encouraging me to register my product.

These lead not to LG but a third party well known “insurance” company who delight in ripping off the innocent by extracting monthly premiums. Not necessary thanks due to Richers excellent 6 year warranty! Equally galling to be told that the “Guarantee Confirmation Code” you are instructed to make a note of on your LG paperwork is apparently “no longer issued and redundant”.

Obviously LG were unaware of this when my TV was manufactured and put in its box three months ago! Finally trying to login at “registermylg. com” has thus far proven a completely fruitless exercise as the link to login following registration of your new account does not work.

Failure to attend to details like these are irritating but sadly not uncommon nowadays. Those things aside, what really matters is that when it comes to the actual product the LG OLED technology is an absolute winner and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this TV.

Despite the premium price it is a genuinely premium product and worth every penny!.

There are a lot of online reviews of the A1 that summarise it as not quite as good as the C1, buy the C1. Most of these are American where the price difference between the two is negligible which is not the case in the UK.

So, addressing the ‘negatives’ first, what does the A1 lack that the C1 has? It doesn’t do 120Hz, VRR, HDMI 2. 1, and it’s a little dimmer. If you’re using this TV for gaming etc, then the C1 may be the better choice however we’re not gamers and for TV and Movies this panel is awesome.

The brightness has never felt lacking, even in a brightly lit room during the day and nowhere near maximum brightness we’ve never felt it dull or unable to compete with the ambient light in the room.

We have the TV mounted on the wall, and it is a little thicker at the back lower down than we expected, it’s understandable but given how razor-thin the actual panel is nearer the top, it would have been nice had this bulk been distributed a bit more evenly.

The actual image quality is nothing short of astounding, the out of the box colour calibration feels good, and as it’s OLED it delivers the infinite contrast ratio and inky blacks I’ve been searching for since LCD replaced CRT technology.

The sound is mediocre at best, but that’s the case with all TVs – get a sound bar, you won’t regret it. I’m not a fan of “Smart TVs” but it’s impossible to simply buy a good ‘non-smart’ TV now (I literally just want a panel, the Sky Q, Apple TV, and Blu-Ray Player deliver the content!) but I’ve used the LGs own Netflix and Prime Video apps and they work well and as expected, being able to AirPlay directly to the TV is a nice touch too.

It’s most disappointing, however, to see LG join the other TV manufacturers cluttering the Home Screen with advertisements or sponsored content (at least they’ve stopped short of Samsung who now put it in the menus and input selectors as well!) and use technology which monitors what is being shown on screen to target advertising (they are at least transparent about it, and it’s turned off by default) however when I buy a physical product I do not expect the manufacturer of that product to subject me to advertising – they already have my money – it’s a bit different when it’s a recurring service.

This invasive content aside, the UI is clear and responsive, and will likely meet most people’s needs. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone.

So this is my largest TV that I’ve had so far and it doesn’t disappoint! Going big serves it’s purpose. You get a massive 77 inches worth of feature film space all decked out in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio which is all encoded in the television.

You can adjust the blue light filter to ON or OFF in the picture settings which works great “ON” for sci-fi adventures such as Snowpiercer, Raised by Wolves, or DMZ. The blue filter color pops off bright with various hues of blues and greens that the film or tv producers work with in their production (See Snowpiercer photo).

I advise to turn the blue filter off when watching films or shows that have lots of red and orange hues. Turning it off will allow those colors to pop off the screen brighter (see Blade Runner pictures).

I actually toggled it on and off while watch Blade Runner: Black Lotus & for the show Raised by Wolves. Blade Runner: Black Lotus features various scenes with blues and greens, but also with pinks, and bright reds, and orange.

Meanwhile Raised by Wolves is set on an alien planet where the sun light is obscured at times giving the world a deep pacific ocean blue look. Here’s where the blue light filter works best bringing out a rich blue color on screen.

However the planet’s light changes at times where shutting off the blue filter works best so that the orange and other hues work best on screen (see picture). You can either toggle it between scenes or set the blue light filter permanently on or off to the desired effect you would like to watch the entire series or films you’re watching.

The smart remote control is intuitive and very easy to set up. The smart magic remote can easily control your other devices such as a PS5. It intuitively recognizes a device attached by HDMI to your smart tv and when you turn your device on, the tv automatically turns on with it to the desired output ready to use.

Another cool feature is the LG ThinQ app that runs on your phone (see picture). You can control your tv and other LG connected appliances with this app. How cool is that? The sheer size along with the various features (Film/TV apps, Live Channels, Web access) that’s pack into this 77″ beast is well worth it!!!.

Just bought this from Argos for a bargain price, got it home and started the process of unpacking it and setting it up. To say it has minimalist instructions is an understatement! Biggest bugbear was trying to get the screws into the holes in the middle of the legs, but managed it after a few goes at it.

Plugged everything in cable wise from my old TV and went through the tuning in process and hey presto got some pictures. Next I went online and registered the TV for its guarantee. Finally started playing with the remote to find out what buttons do what.

Found I needed to update the software and did that, which added a new feature, Screen Care, this helps you keep your screen in the best condition, even guarding against screen burn from the dreaded Logo’s in the top corners, which is a very good addition to have.

I have tried all the different settings on each type of screen but can’t just get it right, there is always something that looks like it needs adjusting. Well its early days yet, but so far I am pleased with my new LG OLED TV.

I bought mine from Argos solely because they have a £100 extra off code (LG 100) for LG OLED TV’s, and I am very glad I found it at such a bargain price. I don’t think anyone will regret it if they buy this model, only downside is the lack of HMDI slots, there are three but one is for ARC compliant sound bars.

I have a Sky Q box and the Sky aerial goes through this then into the normal terrestrial aerial socket not the free sat socket. I found that the LG remote can also control the Sky box when it comes to changing channels just select the HDMI socket that is being used by your Sky Q box from your home screen.

Or just hold down the speech key on the remote and say HDMI 1 or Hdmi 2 whichever Sky is using and you get presented with the usual Sky screen and then can select channels, recordings etc from there with the LG remote.

TERRIBLE Television. I bought a 46 inch Bravia 12 years ago and it has been awesome!! Still works great today. I got this one as a gift in May of 2022. Now, 5 months later, I’ll be watching something and the screen will go black.

Sound will work but no picture. So, I turn it off and back on and then I have no sound or picture. I have done all the reboot sequences recommended (unplug for 60 seconds and turn on, unplug for 60 seconds and hold the power button for 60 seconds, leave unplugged for 8 hours) sometimes it will come back to life, most times the led flashes a red light 5 times.

Since it’s only 5 months old, it should fall under the 1 year warranty. I try to do a claim with Sony warranty and they have confirmed it needs service but will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help because I don’t have a receipt.

I’ve told them repeatedly, it was a gift from my parents and they no longer have the receipt. Bottom line, avoid Sony at ALL costs. They WILL NOT BACK UP THEIR OWN PRODUCTS. Total garbage from a company I trusted.

Went through a period when it would reboot daily, at times in the middle of watching something, at other times after turning on. Now the rebooting is not an issue, but in a period now in which chromecast does not work.

It was working for 6 months. Usually, would have to fiddle with it for 5 or 10 minutes but it worked. Then one day chromecast stopped working. We have a Britbox subscription that we used to watch via chromecast since the TV doesn’t support Britbox, i.

e. , can’t be installed- another negative. A year ago you couldn’t install Sling. It’s now supported. Great picture, but last Sony I buy. Too many headaches with the software.

This is a very good TV. I love everything about it, except for the audio issue. But Sony’s support is among the worst. I bought this TV last year in March within a couple of weeks I noticed that the TV intermittently switches from tv speakers to AVR.

When I contacted the vendor it was one day after their one-month return policy. They refuse to address the problem and referred me to the manufacturer. I called Sony and troubleshooting the TV my daily tedious activity.

I spoke to 6 or 7 tech support individuals. From April to June they had reset the TV 5 times. This is burdensome because of all the apps I have with different passwords that I have to reset after I reinstall them.

By mid-June, one tech decided to replace a part of the TV that may be causing the issue. By the way, this audio issue is a known problem with this TV other owners of this tv reported that Sony had to replace the part of the TV for them.

So, when the local tech called me to replace the part I wasn’t comfortable bringing a stranger inside of my house because Covid-19 was still raging in NYC. I called Sony and voice my concerns. They understood and we agreed that I will call back when things get better.

This week I decided to call back to replace the part because the warranty period is ending. I spend one hour and a half on the phone talking to different people. They wanted to go through the troubleshooting steps again to see if they can fix the issue and asked me to reset the TV again.

I tried to explain that the TV has the latest software and that did nothing. All they wanted is for me to reset the TV when all reviews from other owners explain that the procedure does not fix the audio issue.

They know after a reset they are going to ask me to observe the TV for a couple of days and call back. All they do is giving the customer the runaround so a different tech will deal with the issue the next time they call.

If you buy a Sony product pray you never have to deal with their customer service.

The XR-55A95K has some great features which include acoustic surface audio+, this means that sound comes directly from the screen thus greatly enhancing your visual and audio pleasure. This is made possible by actuators delicately vibrating to create sound that moves within the picture so that dialogue and effects can be heard from precisely the right places.

The unit also has two sub woofers. Other features are Bravia Core, HDMI 2. 1 and Google Tv. The Sony XR-55A95K is well served on the connectivity front with an impressive array of functionality with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, Ethernet, HDMI.

There are 4 HDMI sockets on board and although only two of these are 2. 1 48Gbps standard, all four sockets support Variable Refresh Rate and Auto Low-Latency Mode. The two 2. 1 standard inputs also cover eARC, 4K @ 120Hz and Auto Tone Mapping.

There are two USB inputs, Main and Sub satellite tuner ports and an RF input. The Bluetooth connection is 4. 2 and there are also speaker posts so that the TV can be used as a centre channel in a surround sound system for their Sony.

A 3. 5mm socket is also present for use with composite video or centre speaker output. This Sony smart TV has QD-OLED technology or Quantum Dot, which I’m led to believe is designed to be a composite of the best qualities of both OLED and QLED know-how.

Now, I’m no techno geek, but whatever the technology is, the one thing I do know is that it produces an absolutely stunning picture quality across the entire screen, with excellent clarity. The panel is to all intents and purposes, entirely visible screen, due largely to the fact that the bezels, top, left and right are a mere 7mm, with the bottom one just slightly chunkier.

It’s on this bezel you’ll find the IR for the remote and a microphone. Viewed side on, the unit at 43mm in width, isn’t perhaps the slimmest I’ve seen, but it’s hardly what you might call cumbersome and looks just right to me.

The television comes complete with table stand for those not wishing to take advantage of the Vesa sockets on the rear of the unit which are positioned 300 mm apart and although I don’t intend at this moment to wall mount this one, for those who are, they 6mm machine screws are already in position at the back.

The stand can be fixed to the unit in two different positions, with the slate at the front and the stand at the back, or with the stand at the front. It’s good to have the choice and although I’ve fixed the stand to the rear of the telly, fixing it with the stand out front would allow you to have the unit pretty much flush with a wall or whatever.

The choice is yours. The stand itself has quite a weight to it and secures the telly comfortably once all fixings are in place with very little movement once in its final position. As I mentioned earlier, the cowlings, or rather panels that come with the telly are designed to clip onto the back of the unit so as to neatly cover the input sockets and connection wires leading from or to them and serve the purpose, once all are in place, to flush off the rear of the television neatly.

Also, even if the sockets or inputs are not being used, the panels will help in dust protection for these ports. The Bravia CAM that is included in the pack has a connection port at the top centre of your Sony which, once located properly will snap magnetically into position.

I believe Sony’s intentions for the cam go way beyond the video chat functionality that is its present capability and to add such features as Ambient Optimisation Pro. AOP would apparently, be able to adjust picture and sound settings based on your location within the room you are viewing in, although I’m not quite sure if I’d personally be happy about the tv constantly changing my settings.

Other possible advances being suggested for the camera are Gesture control, Proximity alert, possibly to prevent children sitting too close to the screen and an auto power saving function. At the moment though it appears web chat is its prime function initially via Google Duo.

As I mentioned earlier there are two remote controls which ship with your smart television and although I was initially confused by this, I have been reliably informed by a friend of mine, who is far more techie than I, that this is the norm now.

The aluminium fronted, smaller, more chic looking remote control, covers most of the major functions/Apps with hot-keys for Bravia Core streaming service, Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and Google assistant/Microphone, and of course the usual volume and channel up/down.

The other remote is a more general control with a number pad but it does share some common controls of its way nicer brother. I’ve only used it fleetingly as my preference is for the slimmer more ergonomic remote.

There will undoubtedly be many more technically driven reviews of this terrific smart television in magazines and on the net and this review is only my personal interaction and experience with the XR-55A95K so far and to that end, I hope this review has been of some use to you.

I found this to be an outstanding piece of equipment from both a visual and sonic perspective and although I’ve a lot of tweaking still to do to achieve my idea of entertainment heaven it’ll be a pleasure doing it with the Sony.

Wow, what can I say, it definitely earns the ‘Master’ title and although not a huge leap in regards to OLED technology, there’s an important key leap for a better overall visual experience, namely the brightness.

It’s very much on par with LED with specular highlights that now punch through and with the advantage of pure black of OLED, we’re onto a new era of visual experience technology. An increase in colour volume can most definitely be seen with surprisingly positive results in older TV shows all without it looking oversaturated, being down to Sony’s amazing processing algorithms and decades of experience in TV/Film production and broadcasting; Sony being the only electronics company to be involved on both sides.

Of course HDR and Dolby Vision experience has certainly gone up a few levels and after two weeks of daily use, the TV should now be broken in and looks almost spectacular, making me revisit my modern SDR/HDR and older movie collection.

In regards to sound, I think it’s a first for Sony in recent models, employing surface acoustics and surprised at the results. Unlike me previous TV, which sounds good too, for dialogue the directness is superb and no longer emanating from below but at ear level, especially if you’re like me and don’t just follow trends to hang TV’s 6 foot high but rather at the “correct” height for the true experience.

The inclusion of bass drivers, though not earth shattering, do actually had some depth even to the timbre of dialogue but also be heard even in some movies, making every day listening a better experience.

The surround processing/effects are not so pronounced but stereo separation does sound really good. For the ultimate movie pleasure, you’d still be better with a dedicated surround receiver but won’t require it as much for general viewing, as I would previously.

Getting to the design, in my opinion Sony’s design house are masters in what appeals to the senses, who strike a chord and balance for many of the public but with enough edge to make them standout and appeal to the eye, unlike let’s say Bang and Olufsen, which would appeal to less but are of course also masters of design for some.

I have been a fan of Sony design ever since my first cassette Walkman, going onto Discman, MD, Aibo and many other what I call art technology in electronics from Sony, having owned many from the brand too This monolith style TV is no exception and is sublime, especially having the stand on the rear, a minimalistic clean design which is my penchant.

The stand by the way is very heavy, seems the whole weight of the TV and physics will tell you, it makes sense, as the TV is very very unlikely to topple. As the TV uses Google operating system, it’s more fluid than the previous iteration, with a snappy feel moving from options and settings, exactly how it should be.

There’s plenty to explore, adjust and tweak also with the usual Google Android play market accessible to add more interaction. Ok, to the not so great. No technology is perfect and neither is this TV.

I’m somewhat disappointed in the true accuracy of colour and although it very near it’s not. This TV commands a high price and for that I expect around 99% correct coming out the assembly line. Mine has a slight green tint and can easily be seen, especially in green foliage and whites.

Now granted, my profession as a photographer will see such details quickly as I’m use to using calibrated monitors from Eizo, but for the cost of a TV which I’d feel is targeted towards true movie connoisseurs too, it should be better.

My preference would be to include the measuring tools and license, as I know how colour/light shifts over time; one would expect it, especially to command such a premium. I guess I will now need to buy a license and tool to remove the green tint and to attain the true accuracy.

Also one slight niggle with the remote. It’s a perfect size, better than my previous premium Sony remote of the XH9505, feels nicely balanced in the hand and eliminates the clutter BUTI don’t understand the logic to remove the Forward/Rewind buttons, they are very much used in my use cases on apps such as Youtube and similar; does not make sense.

Also, I still had wished they included smart buttons, allowing you to assign either apps or settings to a few buttons; we don’t always have the need for Netflix/Prime/Disney. So, overall, it’s obvious I adore this TV, the best I’ve ever owned and more than the majority of people won’t be disappointed owning it but I do wish Sony allowed all owners experience near perfection in the colour accuracy, though they’ll still have the best experience compared to the competition.

My personal rating 4. 5 stars.

First of all, I would like to say that the Insiders did a great job updating us on delivery and having tracking available for something as expensive as this. Initially I had planned to pay a professional to fit the TV because I had never wall mounted a TV before.

However, I decided against that because luckily my dad is a construction supervisor so already had all the necessary tools to do the job. It turned out to be easy, only took us roughly an hour to wall mount the TV and most of that time was actually spent looking at the instructions inside the box! The TV is thin at only 2cm wide! The remote is very comfortable and quite light, but the best thing about it is the motion controlled pointer with gyroscope.

This allows for much quicker navigation of the menus than most TVs, including typing text on apps such as Youtube which we use frequently. The TV turns on instantly, timed it at roughly 3 seconds. The picture is amazing, especially when watching 4k content, however surprisingly even standard definition content looks a lot better than my old TV as the colours are much more vibrant.

The TV has great viewing angles so even when looking at it from the corner of the room the image will still look exactly the same as looking at the TV head on. What I would say is because the TV is near a window I have had to increase the brightness in the settings for daytime viewing but this TV does get very bright if you need it to, I only had to slightly increase the brightness to get a clear picture – up to 65 (originally at 50).

With blinds/curtains closed and in particular with the lights off is when the TV looks amazing and the colours pop even more. Be sure to remove the protective film that is installed on the TV once you have wall mounted it as it unnecessarily makes the picture blurrier.

The TV comes with 4 HDMI 2. 1 ports with all the latest tech built in such as HDR and VRR. This TV is future proof for at least the next 6 years, especially for video gaming. The input lag is super low on this TV which is great for gaming and for something like Xbox Series X as it has all the necessary features to take full advantage of the system.

In fact I would say the Xbox is lagging behind as very few games currently run at 4k and 120fps with HDR10 or Dolby Vision, an example of why this TV is definitely future proofed. There is a great game optimizer option which allows for all sorts of settings to make your games run to their full potential.

Highly recommend to all!.

Coming from an older Plasma (a GT60, which was still going strong. , ish), I was expecting quite a wow factor & I really was not disappointed. I’d been following the progress of OLEDs for a while & even though I wasn’t tempted by a QLED, I had compared the pros & cons of each, with the only definable advantage of the LEDs being how bright they can get.

Now, upon initial viewing of the G1, I honestly don’t understand how people can say OLEDs aren’t bright. I was VERY surprised with how bright the screen can get. The missus has said on numeous occasions that it’s too bright at times (I have altered the settings with the help of Vincent, of HDTV Test fame), so it’s not the Vivid setting burning her retinas out.

I guess in part coming from an older plasma set, it was just too much for her to handle :’) The magic remote is a nice upgrade over the old remote, as having a pointer is a very welcome bonus & is just a really good QOL improvement.

As I didn’t want to wall mount it, setting it up on the feet I bought for it was simple, though lifting it from the packaging & placing it somewhere flat is definitely a two person job. Getting through the initial setup & into the meat of it was easy enough & I had “expert” settings ready to go to give me the best picture.

& what a picture it is. For movies the blacks are nice & inky. The colours are rich & pop out at you & with this being the Evo panel, HDR content really shines. The sound is rich & clear & is certainly a stepup from my old plasma.

The only downside I’ve found so far, is when I recently visited the cinema & as you do, I couldn’t help but compare the big screen to my little 55″ at home & the G1 trounced my local cinema screen. This isn’t something I’d noticed with my old TV, but having used the G1 for a while now, the graininess was more prevalent & it didn’t look anywhere near as rich – victory for home entertainment! Speaking of home entertainment & as with most smart TVs nowadays, the G1 is compatible with the latest apps & has specific buttons for Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime & Rakuten built into the remote.

For gaming the G1 really comes alive & is the main reason why I wanted the G1 over any other set. As this was my 1st foray into HDR, the PS5 is improved no end & now my games look so much more vibrant.

Response time is up there with the quickest on the market too & the G1 just has me covered going forward & makes me just that much more excited about the future of gaming.

After doing my research, I came to the conclusion that the Samsung Q80A was the best TV for my budget. And while it seems to have worked out okay, when I first saw the picture quality, I thought I’d made a huge mistake.

I initially just connected the TV to my wifi and used the native apps to do some streaming, and immediately noticed a hazy white cloud that started in the upper left corner and extended three quarters of the way across the top and a third of the way down.

I tried multiple apps with the same result, and even called Samsung to trouble shoot the problem (a factory reset seemed to help temporarily, but the haze gradually reappeared). But then I plugged in my Roku Ultra and like magic the picture looked great.

So bottom line, the onboard apps are terrible, but once you disable all the “smart” TV stuff, it works really well using external inputs. And frankly, I have come to HATE smart TVs and wish every manufacturer would stop making that the (usually) only option.

The software is often terrible, they often don’t offer all the services you want, they tend to stop supporting the apps within a few years hoping to make you buy a new TV, and they tend to be exponentially slower than a Roku.

And did I mention in this case, yield an incredibly low quality picture? So I’d much rather get a dumb TV for less money then be forced to pay for a bunch of sub-par apps that I’m not going use, and that are anything but smart.

But as pretty much all manufacturers do this, I guess I’m as pleased as I can be with the Q80A. As for sound, the TV speakers are also pretty terrible. but as I have a sound bar that I connected to the HDMI3 ARC channel, I’m getting really good sound.

So I probably wouldn’t recommend this TV if a) you don’t plan to connect a sound bar or surround sound system, or b) you plan to use the onboard apps for streaming. Otherwise, it’s got a good picture when using external inputs, good viewing angles, and certainly pops when displaying brightly colored images like you see on the sales floor (darker images are fine, though certainly not videophile level quality).

But for the price, I mostly got what I expected, and what fell short were things that weren’t as important for me personally.

The good: Delivered and installed by Geek Squad who were accomodating in every way, putting the Q80A together and placing it on my living room stand. One feature I liked was the base which allowed placement on most TV stands.

In a well lit room and away from distracting reflections, picture and 4K resolution were fantastic. Works well with eARC to connect existing A/V Receivers and Soundbars, no sound delay when watching content with Dolby Atmos or DTS.

LOVE the solar powered remote and works with external devices like Apple TV and most Blu Ray players! The Bad: Perhaps I fell prey to panel lottery, yet my Q80A had light bleed issues at the bottom of the screen.

Tried tweaking brightness settings and picture presets to minimize the bleed, sadly the defect remained a distraction especially during dark scenes with widescreen movies and dark room viewing. I gave the Q80A a second chance with a replacement, unfortunately that too had light bleed at the bottom and upper left hand side.

This defect combined with distracting blooming/halo effect from the Full Array Local Dimming feature (noticeble with dark room viewing) was unacceptable for the amount of money spent, even at a sale price.

BB sales rep tried to tell me blooming and light bleed were normal and you had to buy the more expensive Samsung OLEDs for improved viewing. The Best Buy personnel who picked up my flatscreen for return balked at the sales rep’s opinion and agreed with me that no one should pay any price for display defects, period.

Very pleased indeed with this television- pretty straight forward to set up, although takes a while to enter all the passwords etc for numerous apps (there is an online 250 page manual, so there’s potentially a lot to learn when I get the time).

Used to love the picture on our 11 year old Samsung plasma 55 that had just packed up- but this tv beats it by a mile. The picture quality is superb- bright, ultra sharp and with tremendous visual depth of field (a caveat- freeview non-HD channels will not overly impress, but that’s the streaming providers’ fault and not the that of the TV.

May also need to adjust picture modes according to the type of content being presented). However, HD and 4K channels are absolutely stunning. Equally good is the sound- much improved on older flat screens, and I don’t feel the need to buy a soundbar.

Indeed, the whole experience of watching it is akin to trip to a private cinema. TV comes with 2 switchers- one smart, with Alexa (and others, I believe) built in, and very few buttons (which takes a bit of getting used to as it is so fast to react), and a standard one.

The latter is of the usual format, but surprisingly rather cheap looking, with very small buttons cramped together. Also equally pleased that I bought it from Richer Sounds- my ‘place to go’ when purchasing hi fi etc- here in Plymouth.

Excellent guidance from the member of staff, who was completely impartial and not at all pushy, and extremely well informed. Complete with 6 year guarantee and delivery the next day (oh, and the same price or less than the online retailers).

I purchased this TV with the intent to play Nintendo Switch games and stream shows and movies using the built in apps. So far it works well, and I haven’t had any issues with the image quality, aside from “HDR 10+” sometimes causing peoples’ skin to turn bright red or orange in certain spots, which I noticed while watching 4K HDR content through Prime Video.

This is not my main media machine, so it functions well when I just want to play games or watch media on a big screen. DISPLAY: I’m guessing the TV is true 4K, as all the streaming apps that have 4k available automatically stream at that resolution.

It’s pretty good for when I want to see Richard Hammond crash again and again in 4k on a big screen. Like I previously mentioned, the HDR is somewhat “meh”, causing some minor coloring issues, and there is no option to disable it.

If great HDR is what you’re looking for in a TV, this isn’t it. If you don’t care for HDR content, this TV is good enough. The default color accuracy isn’t that great, and you will need to adjust the colors yourself.

The TV comes with an expert color tuning mode that I didn’t use, since the basic settings were enough to get the colors I wanted. GAMING: I’ve only used my Nintendo Switch with this TV, but I’ve had no issues using it.

Just note that the TV uses some kind of upscaling to match the Switch’s 1080p output to the 4k display. Interestingly, I think switch games look better on this 55″ 4k-upscaled output compared to my 24″ 1080p gaming monitor.

INPUT LAG: If you plan on playing any fast-paced or fighting games, like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, MAKE SURE THE PICTURE IS SET TO GAME MODE. The input lag is unbearable on anything other than game mode, but once game mode was active, the input lag was almost identical to my gaming monitors.

STREAMING: The OS is fairly decent, with the downside of lagging with certain apps I’ve tried, such as Crunchyroll and Prime Video. There’s a second or two delay when navigating the menu in Prime Video, and in Crunchyroll, the app is just short of freezing when you try to exit out of playback.

Other apps, such as Apple TV and YouTube work very smoothly. I have not tried other streaming apps, but I can attest to the performance or lack thereof of these four apps. I would recommend using a game console or a dedicated streaming stick over using the built in Google TV OS.

One negative side to using Google TV on this TCL is that TCL forces you to sign in or create a TCL account in order to access Google TV. That’s another account you have to create and another company you have to entrust information to.

That’s about the only big gripe I have with this TV. OVERALL: Pretty decent TV for when I want to watch stuff or play games on a big 4k screen. Google TV can be a little sluggish, but you can always get a dedicated streaming device and plug it into the TV.

The HDR isn’t that great.

So far so good. There are so many choices out there at so many price points and so many options that I circled for quite a while. I finally decided to purchase this TV and I’m very happy with it. It’s got a beautiful picture, it set up nice and easy, The remote is not too big for my hand which may sound funny but for some of us it’s a consideration lol.

I like the versatility of what’s available on it and what you can do with it I haven’t had much opportunity to explore a lot of it but if I’m not complaining up front it can’t be that bad. The only negative so far that I may have come across which is only negative based upon the mount that I already have from my previous TV.

The mounting holes on the back of the TV are very low to the bottom. A wall mount I have uses two separate rails attached one on each side of the mounting holes. I mounted it as far down the bottom of the rail as I could but the TV still ended up 6 in higher on the wall and the previous TV of the same size because it’s mounting holes or towards the top.

And the scheme of things it’s not terrible except I don’t have much wall left to raise the picture that its now blocking. So just be aware of how you want to mount and hang your TV even if you don’t get this one We look to see if the holes are spaced appropriately for what we want to do but I didn’t really pay much attention to where they were located on the TV set.

As for the size as a man I wanted the 75 inch TV It said my blood but it was obscene It was so big for the wall as with the 65-in have been. The 55 was really the best for the room size even given the upgrades from the 4k And that combined with the lower price made this an even more appealing choice.

finally, as the cherry on top it was delivered right into my office where it hangs now within 2 days and for free. Can’t beat that!.

Bought this but I’m debating what actually it does better over the $125 cheaper recent Android TV model I was planning on returning (or a similarly priced TCL Roku TV). My major motivation was integration with Google Home but also upgrading from 1080p.

(1) Fast on functionality doesn’t appear to include wifi and ethernet connection so nothing but a fast on attached roku or other dongle can turn it on by voice. Wasn’t fixed over Android TV. (2) Google Home streams Apple Music with subscription but sending it to this TV and my non-Atmos/DTS+ sound bar is horribly choppy.

(3) Google Assistant on the TV and it’s integration with Google Home system has been working poorly, has been unresponsive and I can’t figure out why. It’s worse than previous generation Chromecast with showing connected services like camera footage.

Nice that it adds Dolby Digital Plus and eArc should those be of value (not with my soundbar!), certainly an upgrade over 1080p in terms of video quality. Appreciate that it does do digital audio pass through.

If it doesn’t work better with Google Home, really seems that overall package is less than a TCL Roku TV plus an Chromecast or the older Android TV (or maybe even smart 4K TV) with a 4K Roku box. Definitely consider if relevant, some of these things may get worked out but clock is ticking.

I lucked out and found a whole pallet marked open-box because the boxes got wet in transit. We paid 340 for one, tested it before leaving, and it worked fine with no evidence of moisture. That was months ago and we use it daily.

For the price we paid, its an amazing TV. But had I paid full price, I probably wouldnt be as happy about it. The good:The image is pretty great. The screen is super bright and the fake 120Hz effect tricks my brain sometimes though I wish it was true 120Hz, because it does not have DisplayPort using it as a computer monitor via HDMI theres obvious lagging and skipping of the mouse cursor even with a high-end GPU.

But streaming Home Deliveries USA Prime or HBO Max has some decent realistic motion. USB storage: I also use an external 2. 5 SSD and the TV easily plays any typical file, even HVEC/H. 265 as large as 4GB, and it emulates a higher framerate making the playback look as good as any popular streaming service at 4K.

Awesome. The bezel is super thin, which is super sleek. I connect it to my external Bluetooth receiver that goes to my hi-def A/V system, and there is minimal lag. I connect to my 5G WiFi network and also have the ethernet connected, so no issues with lag or streaming.

There are also tons of apps and extras that can be downloaded from the Tizen app store. The bad:The interface is painfully annoying. Seriously. Sometimes Im nearly frustrated enough to throw the remote through the screen because I accidentally pressed the back key one too many times and it goes to the home screen.

Or the interface lags so bad you think you clicked to go to one page but its somewhere different entirely, because the cursor will jump 4 or 5 places when you navigate in any particular direction. Sometimes, when clicking through an on-screen keyboard can be so annoying because the cursor jumps around 5+ times in any direction when you press the arrow key once.

If they put any of that amazing Samsung processing power toward the U/I maybe it woul.

I have owned a few other “smart” TVs prior to this one, and I would consider those to be “dumb” TVs! The clarity and picture on this TV is amazing. Whether you are watching cable, streaming, or even using connected devices, this has been the best experience I have had by far.

I do lots of streaming, such as Youtube, Prime, and Netflix, and have had the greatest experience with them all. I also stay on the internet constantly, and being able to do this from my television is unlike anything I have tried.

There’s nothing like being able to see the content you watch and do on a big screen like this. Using the browser on the TV became more favorable than using my computer or even my phone. I also love how if you don’t have a sound system, you can use a Bluetooth connected speaker, and the sound is amazing (and wireless!) I also love the fact you can upload your pictures and video gallery, and feel like you are watching home movies on a what feels like a theater, all from videos and pictures taken on a smartphone.

Having a Samsung smartphone makes the experience so lovely, because everything connects seamlessly, as well as giving you TV and phone extra features when using them together. Not that I would think there would be any issues with any other smartphone being connected, it is just awesome to use a Samsung smartphone with a Samsung TV, because the usability of the TV is even easier to get use to, since it has the same platform, setup, and settings similarities.

We bought this to replace a 47″ HD Smart TV where the video board had broken. Buying it was easy enough and after unpacking it and spending half an hour mounting it, the new TV wouldn’t go into ‘Set Up’ mode – specifically we couldn’t select any of the set up options using the Volume button on the remote control as the TV’s set up requires.

The TV wouldn’t even switch on/off using the power button on the remote. We checked the battery voltage for the included batteries and they were both fine at 1. 6V. When I pointed the remote at my mobile phone camera with the phone’s Photo app, I couldn’t see any infra red light when I pressed any of the remote buttons, so the remote was DOA.

After spending 10-15 minutes texting with Samsung support (who asked me to do everything I’d already done), they offered to send a new remote. We declined and decided just to return the TV and get another one.

So less than 3 hours after we bought it, we drove the 16 mile round trip to our local Sam’s Club, returned it and bought an identical one. This time, as soon as we had been scanned at the store exit, I opened the box, took out the remote and popped the batteries in it.

I think pointed it at my mobile phone with the camera app on and could see the infrared light pulsing when I pressed the remote buttons, so I knew this one was OK. We got it home, mounted it on the wall and it set up as expected.

What I found really disappointing was that we’re charged a $6 recycling fee here in CA on purchases of TVs and other electronic goods. Despite selling a TV that wasn’t working, the recycling fee wasn’t refunded when I returned the broken TV.

So I ended up paying the recycling fee twice, once on the TV that was DOA and a second time on a TV that actually worked. That is hardly customer service for a Plus membership. We’re glad this thing came with a 3 year warranty!.

Our last TV (also an LG) had the image fade out after many years of use, so we recently purchased this one. We opted to acquire another one from LG because we were happy with our last one. This model includes various projection possibilities, but we don’t see much of a difference between many of them, while some may.

For games, I use the game setting, and it looks fantastic. It has a fantastic sound. I was thinking about getting a soundbar for the previous TV, but now I’m more certain I’ll get one because the sound quality on this model is so fantastic.

The instructions for setting up the television set should be updated.

This TV has been everything i could have hoped for. I bought this TV 3rd party off of OfferUp. I did a lot of research and i needed a tv that could handle 4K gaming and streaming. I have to say i am always impressed with LG and the price point they fall under.

This TV has been nothing short of amazing and i would highly recommend all LG TVs. I have noticed a lot of issues other people seem to be having with connectivity, i have to say i havent had a single issue.

Stream all apps seamlessly. GREAT PICTURE, ALMOST BEZELLESS, LOVE MAGIC REMOTE.

I suspect that well-documented design flaw with the wifi also screws up other things. I have several persistent glitches, including wifi reception, wired connection drops, dropped and laggy reception of the remote control signal, app errors, image loss, unexpected shut offs, sound unsyncing on all sources including wired cable.

I’ve never had a such a buggy piece of. technology. And it’s all due to design flaws and bad construction. Online there’s handy support advice like “pull it off the wall, remove the back panel, & fiddle with wires.

” Seriously. Once a day, I find myself saying “I hate this tv”. After 3+ years, I’m determined to never buy ANYTHING from LG ever again. If I could afford to replace it, I’d have done so years ago. Do yourself a favor and buy any other brand.

Using Personal artwork requires using a USB to upload pictures to the TV or uploading to your Samsung account and logging into the account on the TV. Using a USB, all of the photos that I tried to upload were larger than 4k and the TV could not resize the images and use them.

That is a suprise as other TVs I have used have not had a problem resizing photos. One thing that seems to be missing is the capability to schedule artwork. For example if you want nature photos between 6am and 9am, and family photos between 9am and 3pm, and sunset photos between 3pm and 9pm, and Web Space Telescope pictures between 9pm and 6am, then you will not find that feature on this device.

That is why the 3 star review; the Frame is just a regular digital photo device with the most basic of shuffling and scheduling features. These to lack of features are the reason for the review title “Dumb Digital Photo Frame”.

The flush wall mount is not really flush like shown in the marketing pictures. The 43″ has a much better wall mount, and is nearly flush. The 55″ does have a gap and it is about the same space a painting or flat back picture would be.

My sits about 1/2″ away from the wall at the top and is nearly flush at the bottom. I did not use the included foam spacers on the bottom of the TV, otherwise it would have the 1/2″ space at the bottom also.

The frame around the edge of the TV is about 3/16″ further away from the wall than the actual back of the TV, so the edge of the units (both 43″ and 55″) can never really be flush with the wall, as you would expect with a metal frame picture with a hallow back.

Adding the Samsung custom frame pieces do not close this gap. The cable is poorly sized at only 5M long (<16'). It should either be 1. 5M or 15M long. The 5M length make a mess of wires if the control box is below the TV, and the 5M length is not long enough to make it up the wall to the attic and back down to an adjacent room to put the control box out of sight.

The control box has the USB connection, so don’t plan on putting that in the attic, however using a USB extension cable I did not try. The 15M cable is available from Samsung and is another $300. The “invisible” cables are not compatible between all Samsung TVs.

It would have been preferred if the TVs were $100 less and you had to buy a separate cable for $100, that way you could get the cable you required. We also have the 43″ 2022 model hung in portrait mode; when in portrait mode Amazon Prime does not work, nor do any of the other apps that do not allow for resizing of the display.

That was a suprise.

I returned it to be honest. I didn’t know there was a difference between BESPOKE vs. non-BESPOKE products by Samsung and Bezel meant for TV’s until after I purchased this item. Basically, my friend and I saw The Frame and even on display at Best Buy it was absolutely gorgeous.

After running to 3 different Best Buys, we , it was obvious based upon on conversation amongst each other in front of the sales guy we wanted The Frame for the flush feature and painting-like display.

When we both got home, after a 2 days, we were so disappointed it wasn’t the item we actually wanted or saw on display. There is a difference between The Frame with or without Bezel feature and I recommend verifying any product by Samsung prior to purchase.

There is a significant difference aesthetically and financially. My friend ended up keeping his but I had to return mine b/c I noticed the colors weren’t consistent across the display panel. There was a section of the TV in which the colors displayed were different than the rest of the image.

It is really hard to see but I can pick up on visual hues every well. Also, the black points were well achieved but in contrast, the brighter colors seemed more off and the balance between dark and light was not visually pleasing.

In fact, my brother had the same problem with a different Samsung TV model. These Samsung TV’s, however, were manufactured in 2021. Apparently, there is a significant improvement in the 2022 models and beyond b/c many had this inconsistency.

A huge deal breaker for me was the speaker sound. Recently, Sony Bravia changed up their technology and the speakers on the TV are insane b/c it comes from every point behind the TV display vs Samsung which in the speakers are set on the bottom in one location.

The sound level of a Sony Bravia at say 30 is the equivalent to a Samsung TV at 80. And it’s very annoying considering its rigid emitting sound from one focal point and the sound quality isn’t as rich as Sony Bravia.

My friend, however, he is okay with it and kept his TV. He was disappointed but he got over it. The price he purchased his for was a great deal for the size. He is a very picky person yet he kept it out of inconvenience to deal with the return process I guess and he had already mounted it on his wall.

It just depends. I do highly highly recommend making sure the TV is 2022+. It seems as though there is not much of a price difference yet significant difference in quality and change in technology. Hope this helps!.

Use case: this TV is going into a multi-purpose bedroom that is also an exercise room. This tv will only be used to display art content and look like a picture frame for most of the time. However, this will also be used to display workouts on an Apple TV via Fitness+.

I do not have much opinion on the built in apps and other Samsung software offerings because I disagree with their ad targeting, data collection and reselling practices. However, the cost of the tv is only as low as it is because of those data collection and brokering practices.

Would I opt out of most data collection practices if that could be easily done while not suffering a lesser software experience for my tv purchase. ? Yes, yes I would. Is that currently possible? No, no it is not.

The Pros: Good picture quality for the particular screen tech The complimentary digital art is attractive The one connect system is attractive in theory The Cons: The one connect connector cable is too dainty and not UL rated for hiding behind walls.

A UL rated option is available for an extra 300. 00 which is rather ridiculous considering that the VC point of This product is to not look like a tv. The included wall mounting solution is rather finicky and not at all particularly easy to level and mount (they’ve given the bare minimum effort in the wall mounting solution for the 43 inch model).

I’ve had this tv for 11 months now and I definitely regret buying it. At first everything was okay. Nothing spectacular. Big size for a good price with decent quality. Then the problems started. It’s nearly impossible to keep my PS4 connected to this tv, as the tv will just stop registering that the PS4 is connected.

Sometimes it doesn’t even connect initially so I don’t even get the opportunity to experience the black out screen in the middle of a game. The tech support is useless. The people are nice and all but all they did was tell me to do everything I had already done – because I found those troubleshooting methods on google prior to wasting my time by calling in.

Now, I’ve encountered a new problem. My tv says it’s connected to the Wi-Fi, yet none of my apps will open and nothing will stream. Funny though – every single other tv and electronic in the house will connect.

Overall, this tv was a huge waste of money and has been nothing but frustrating. Just about the only thing I use this tv for anymore is to play movies from my flash drive. At least that still works – for now.

I highly suggest you don’t let the price hook you and spend a bit more for a tv without so many problems. Just google tcl roku and you’ll see how many other people wish they hadn’t purchased.

TV is great for about the first 3 months then as we were watching TV the screen starts to appear cracked. No one touched the TV and no one was near the TV. Customer support is a joke as they blame me for the crack when I have explained that is appeared on the screen as we were watching TV.

Customer Support Response: Upon checking the picture you sent, your TV has an internal crack on the screen. We regret to inform you that this type of issue is not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.

This damage might have occurred while transporting or moving the unit or any other activities that might have hit and damaged the panel. The panel of the TV consists of parts that are on the surface and inside of the screen.

Therefore, there are cases wherein damages may not be visible on the outside but are visible once the TV is turned on. With this, we encourage you to check with the retailer if they cover this type of issue with the TV.

TCL reserves the right to exclude this type of damage from warranty claims as stated on the Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty found in your TV Manual. Will never buy TCL again and I encourage others to not buy TCL because after you spend your hard earned money on this TV you will have to spend your hard earned money again in a few months to replace the TV.

The picture on the TV was OUTSTANDING!. until it wasn’t. I purchased this tv online on February 13, 2021. By the first part of July, there was a fine, multicolored, barely visible line down the left part of the screen, which slowly turned colors, increased in size until it was an inch thick, solid black line about 18 inches in on the the tv screen.

so you pretend you are looking thru the prison bars. I first went to Walmart and was told that they didn’t do anything to “fix” issues, I needed to contact TCL. I was trying to run the farm here and having to deal with some IT person was not high on the list of priorities, so I put it off until the first of November.

The first response from TCL was prompt, but I didn’t realize that I only had 72 hours to reply or else they would assume the problem was “solved”. and we all know about assume. Anyway, I have run their trouble shooting ideas, and nope, that black line stays.

This morning, I woke up, turned on the tv and the only colors I had were blue and orange, so I ran the factory reset, by this time I figured I had nothing to lose. The color is back to being true, for tonight, anyway, and I resolved the volume issue by going into the DISH remote program and so I can at least turn the sound up and down now.

I have just reissued an email to TCL, and they sent back their automated message. I have no idea if or when they will respond and/or fix the issue, but I did expect the tv to last a few years, not a few months.

This is a great tv, until it isn’t. and then prepare to look thru a line or have weird colors appear. when the DISH tech showed up to hook the tv up for me, he was impressed with the price and the clarity.

I’m sure he would not be so impressed now. Buy at your own risk, don’t expect help from your local Walmart, and even less help from TCL. I’m screwed, we all know it.

Have owned the 65 inch Sony A8G since September 2020, thereby writing this review after approx 1. 5 years of ownership. This TV is good for watching movies and for the low quality cable tv. Sony processing is on display here since it clears up satellite broadcast well.

For high quality content like streaming etc it is a good performer. For 4K movies it is not as bright as conventional LCD screens but that is to be expected based on the technology. It is better suited for a medium to low light room during the day due to the average peak brightness of this TV.

The TV sounds really good and is sufficient for regular TV watching IMO. Recently have had to get service done for this set since it stopped working, turned out the main board was malfunctioning preventing the TV from working.

Sony Service centre diligently replaced the main board in a very short time. It is working as it was earlier.

If you know technology and thats a big “IF” then you would know that this “computer monitor” is not a tv. You hear it from me “COMPUTER MONITOR ” and, if you call it a tv then you are not into technology.

I had bought a 60 inch 120hz Samsung and realized the picture in 4k UHD On my living room wall just was not popping the way i had liked. Now, the model # for that purchase from best buy was not cheep.

So after getting my wife’s approval, i researched, and reviews, and more research with the understanding my purchase was going to be pricey “PRICEY” i had made my mind up after looking at : OK, NOW, I RATE MONITORS AS I WOULD CARS AND REALIZED THE THE BENTLEY WAS THE SONY BRAVIA, 65INCH 4K,UHD,ANDROID ASST, OLED MONITOR.

$3,223 dollars my wife was beyond herself! Sony is number 1 on the market with LG trying and Samsung is digging deep with Vizio trying. Sony is number 1 and keep it up.

First off the 4 out of 5 rating that I gave: let me explain why. It’s been about 3 years I have been with “Android Bravia” tvs, since day one Sony Android Smart TV Digital Turner software is just a poor design and just a real annoyance to work with, editing them is painful as it list some 999 empty channels which shouldn’t be visible at all but they are so when you tune it to local broadcast services the tv just randomly throws them in amongst the 999 channels which basically makes it not worth your time to even try to remove unwanted broadcasts stations, this is just a terrible experience for broadcast channel editing.

Next is “bloatware” like games, music, videos which should all be optional installs but their not and you can’t remove them. Users also cannot use external hard drives for installing apps on, instead you’re forced to use the limited internal SSD (16GB which is actually less once system installs).

Android Security patches and OS Updates. Vastly outdated by months if not a year or more at the worst, this is not excusable as Sony is a multi billion dollar company that can easily afford to pay software engineers to Enhance, patch and update these TV’s.

The latest example of this lack of commitment to OS updates is the exclusion of Android 9 to A8G users like myself, Google has design vs 9 to run on hardware with limited resources like Smart TV’s. Some internet articles claim that “Sony” thinks only A9G’s and X850G’s can run Android Pie (9) which is apparently a false claim as Google Engineers say otherwise thus my new 2019 A8G will never receive OS updates not because of hardware specs but because the marketing team at Sony said so, this is not responsible act by such a big company.

Finally is that IR remote, it’s 2019/2020 now and other brands have moved to newer Bluetooth remotes. “Google Play” button, I truly believe that most users will never use it and it should be removable with an optional “YouTube” button as most I believe would rather.

I also believe that there should be an OLED Panel without any speakers in it as when one is spending this much money we’re gonna get a dedicated home theatre amp and or a decent sound bar, internal speakers are a waste of space and money.

Other than what I have said this TV is a good performer from motion handling to colour accuracy, it’s one of the best OLED’s on the market even with its flaws. Thumbs up for me.

I picked it because the picture in the store was the best of their 70-inch models. When I got it home, packaging was very good with no damage or missing pieces. However, there was no User’s Manual and only minimal instructions for attaching the feet.

Nothing about the outlets or their locations or functions. However I was able to figure it out based on experience with a past Westinghouse set. The remote was very basic and, of course, did not come with an instruction sheet to identify the buttons and their uses.

Going to the LG website was useless since they didn’t offer a manual for that model or that remote, although they did have a manual that listed various voltages and frequencies for the technicians. My wife was able to experiment with the remote enough to get the cable signal and the Roku signal which is what we use.

I turned the set off that night and back on the next morning, only to discover that the buttons on the screen for the HDMIs identifying the cable and Roku were now missing. With no troubleshooting help available, I finally took the remote and the TV model number to Best Buy and they identified an obscure button on the remote that would expose the HDMI buttons.

This worked as they said. The set itself is great with a very realistic picture and good sound, but I am very disappointed with LG in failing to provide adequate instruction to those of us seniors who are not electronic-savvy enough to get by.

If this was a cost reduction for them, it was a very poor choice and should be corrected. There is no reason why a customer should have to do research to get basic information. Maybe that’s the way they do it in South Korea, but it doesn’t work for me.

At the least there should be a printable manual available on the website and an 800-number to call to talk with someone who can speak clearly and with knowledge of the issue. I will remember this the next time I consider an LG product.

Quite a disappointing TV, even for an entry-level model. Unfortunately, TV came with serious build issues whereby the entire front panel was half glued to the bezel almost as if they forgot to glue the panel correctly.

While it happens, or shows shoddy build quality. The picture on the display itself is certainly decent but lacks good contrast even for a $600 panel. Glare is terrible, color is good although not great, shadows are decent and motion artifacts are very apparently.

WebOS, even for a new 2022 model TV, is good but laggy on this particular display. This is an average entry-level flat panel and there are much better choices out there. Personally, you can’t get a good TV of this size for less than $700-800 since you’re just giving up way too many features that are a necessity for a good viewing experience – main points being contrast, brightness, color and glare.

Adding: sound is pretty bad, even though expected, it’s one of the worst sounding TV’s I’ve used irrespective of price.

Not happy with this TV. It is extremely slow and not responsive at times. If I turn it on and select home to view all the apps, if it sits idle for more than 2 minutes it auto jumps to another input.

When selecting the settings I count up to 9 Mississippi and then the tv responds. The remote sucks can’t see anything at night. Most of the buttons on the control I don’t even use. The sound isn’t the best also even after messing with the settings.

Honestly, I wish I could return it but I don’t have the luxury of traveling as I can’t drive and now I have to live with this. I’m thinking of calling tech support but for what? doesn’t seem like something that can be fixed but should be replaced! Maybe I’ll give it a try.

Because to pay for a 2022 TV I expected it to at least be responsive. It’s the reason why I bought a new tv cause the old one as over 7 years old and guess what? They both respond equally as slow. Pretty ridiculous.

I give it a 3 star cause the picture is good and the size isn’t bad. But let me also add that the settings on the TV don’t take, it always changes back to its original settings and at night it’s so bright it hurts my eyes.

It’s frustrating and it should just work!.
