20 Best Tencel Mattress Protector (2022 Updated)

I was skeptical buying this with no true reviews but I’m quite thrilled with this knit tencel mattress protector. It’s so soft and I love that it’s not shiny on top. I would say that the design is similar to the ghostbed protector but with all natural eucalyptus fibers instead of sketchy mystery material.

I love that the waterproofing is substantial and has a completely silent rubberized texture. It is completely breathable and well suited for a hot sleeper. The surface feels less icy than my Layla cooling mattress protector but it is more comfortable to me and cost $100 less.

I would say this is temp neutral and regulating rather than cooling. My only complaint is the elastic band may not be thick enough to keep the sides looking flat and smooth. The water proof protection is equally substantial on sides but does not look as relaxed as the main surface.

My fitted sheet smooths it all out so it’s definitely not a deal breaker but I would like to see this upgrade in the future.

Just put the mattress protector on after washing it. Our mattress is not especially thick and there’s no extra top cushion, but the protector doesn’t fit very well. It’s puckered and pulls unevenly at the corners, as if someone sewed the edging to the top too fast.

I have to say I’m disappointed after all the great reviews. I’ll keep this one because a mattress pad is hidden under the fitted sheet, and I like the top material on the pad, but I won’t be buying anything else from Sijo.

I’ve been looking to reduce plastics in my bedding situation but also have water-proofing to protect the bed from the kids/pets. I was a little nervous that the water-proofing feature would make that awful plastic-y crinkly sound but it doesn’t, especially with the sheets on the bed! And I haven’t noticed any over-heating since adding this.

We purchased this Tencel mattress pad when we couldn’t get the Stearns and Foster 1000-thread count product in Queen size. We thought that model was the best but WOW: THIS mattress pad is now the bed softening benchmark by which all others shall be judged! It’s perfect sleep-inducing qualities include great fit, cloud-like snuggly soft and high quality fabrics and workmanship.

Also Made in USA and good warranty plus washed once so far, came out fine. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and came here to buy another one, sorry to see out of stock! Hopefully back soon!.

We love this mattress pad. We couldn’t handle the heat issues with memory foam, so this patterns pad is perfect for us! No more pain in the shoulders and hips. The only problem is that we no longer want to get out of bed in the morning because of how comfortable it is!.

Very satisfied with the Tencel Top Mattress Pad that I just received yesterday. The material is breathable with just the right amount of padding. eLuxury outdid themselves with this new Tencel addition to their mattress pad family.

It’s soft & luxurious to sleep on without the feeling of sleeping on an “over-stuffed” topper to achieve this result. My neck & back were comfortable all night with no aches & pains in the morning — a good night’s sleep! I also noticed that the Tencel Topper does not add heat or give “night sweats” which is probably due to the breathable Tencel fabric — all made in America — Thanks eLuxury!.

It slides all over the top of the mattress. won’t stay put causing the sheet to pop off the top corners of the bed. This happens almost nightly. The way this magical cover was described to me I thought it covered the complete mattress.

It does not. just the top and sides like a fitted sheet only not so fitted. Nothing special about it.

Don’t understand why I need this plus the other protector. But at least this one fits the mattress better. Also, I got a mattress with remote controls so the thing can’t be zipped up all the way, because there are no openings for the controls and the cords to go through.

Seems unnecessary.

It fits the queen Casper hybrid perfectly without lifting, but the material is very plasticy and uncomfortable compared to the mattress’s own pillow top. Bed sheets slide off too easily because of the slippery surface of the plasticy protector.

I love Malouf products and thought this was going to be a great investment and addition to my new bed and set up. Sadly, it was a tremendous disappointment. its not at all temperature regulating, as described, and the waterproof backing makes it very sweaty – like sleeping on plastic.

It’s also huge and slides all over the bed, pulling the sheets up and around. Sadly, It’s not returnable.

I first encounter this product at a vacation condo rental, and was so impressed with it, I wanted them for my home. I was concerned with the rubbery under lining, but having slept on them previously I was confident I would not have problems with heat or noise; and I have not.

I have a 22 inch deep mattress and the mattress protector fits very well, and it will fit thinner mattresses with the design of the side panels. The terry cloth top help hold the fitted sheet in place, no bunching up in the bed.

It is very important to follow the washing and drying instruction exactly for the warranty and to protect the product. Very happy with the price. I paid twice as much for the previous protectors and they were so thick with polyester and slick covering (for luxury) the fitted sheet would slide up the side and bunch up while I was sleeping.

These are prefect. I would highly recommend for adults to children’s beds, and for people with overheating at night problems. Don’t know about the waterproofing; I have not spilled anything in the bed.

I am very happy with this mattress cover from Linenspa, I was given this mattress cover to test out. I have young kids who occasionally wet the bed or spill things on their beds. I recently purchased a new mattress after my kids destroyed one so I wanted this one to last longer.

I like that this cover completely encloses the mattress. I have another mattress cover that zips up and enclosed the mattress but the zipper was so fragile it now doesn’t work, So I was very pleased to see the high quality zipper on this cover.

I like that when I need to remove the mattress cover to wash or change all I will need to do is unzip the top and leave the bottom in its place. I love how this fabric isn’t super hot and is flexible as well, other plastic covers make my kids sweat in the night and after a short time they rip and are useless.

Most of all it is waterproof and that is what I need to keep my mattress clean. This would be great for any beds especially for kids, grandparents, or guest rooms.

I went thru a couple of returns before I settled on this one. we got an expensive mattress and I wanted to have a protector on it. The quality is good and had no issues with washing. I did line drying.

Didnt want to take chances with damaging the liner. It has no smell and does not make any sounds when moving or turning around in sleep. It’s deep pockets fit my deep 15 inch mattress comfortably. Most others I tried were not deep enough to go under the mattress.

This is on the expensive side but it was worth the money.

I love this mattress protector. I was looking for something that would protect the mattress, but wouldn’t adjust the feel of the bed and wouldn’t make noise when moving around. That’s surprisingly hard to find.

This mattress protector is definitely well made. It hugs the bed well and isn’t noisy at all. I haven’t spilled anything on it yet, but I can rest assured that the mattress is staying cleaner!.

I was really hoping to find another great mattress protector but this one isn’t it. I had to wash it two times to get rid of he plastic smell. I’ve only had it less than a month and it doesn’t hold tight to my pillow-top mattress.

The elastic isn’t strong enough and it sags all the way around. Very very disappointed in this flaw especially at this price point.

Fantastic! Very plush and it doesn’t make any noise when getting in or moving in the bed. The wording is upside down but doesn’t matter since sheets go over it anyway. Expensive but great value for the thickness and fiber choice.

We have a split king that permits the head & feet to lower on each bed. We needed a pad that would protect the mattress from dogs & kids. It does that. Advert said it slept cool. I have found that not to be the case.

Since we added the pad, I’m sleeping much warmer than before. We had hoped that the pad would stay on better than the predecessor, although it says it will support the deep mattress up to 15 in and with the elastic edge we have found it’s ability to remain on the mattress about the same as before.

In fairness, with the two beds raising and lowering it’s a tough environment.

Fits my sleep number split top perfectly. Very soft on top and plush, the only drawback is the crunchy noise it makes when your moving in bed which I figured out to be from the waterproof material on the backing.

I have not washed it yet and I hope it will soften up to be quieter. Other than that it’s a win.

We were recommended to purchase this product along with our new mattress order. The sales associate demonstrated how this mattress cover would protect against all spills. However, that is not the case.

Anyone with children would know this would be the greatest product to have since bottles are always spilling and even pampers leak. Nonetheless, taking off our sheets to wash-without a doubt large rings of spills are displayed on our mattress.

We are beyond disappointed and In disbelief that this mattress protector did not protect against any spills and in fact ruined our new purple mattress. Total waste of money and time having to clean.

Purchased a $200 protector from them when I bought my mattress, per their warranty instructions. Blood went through the waterproof protector and down to the mattress. Apparently even if you follow ALL of their guidelines, they do not warranty “normal wear and tear.

” Do not purchase. Their warranty and customer service is a ripoff.

This product was provided for me to review The packaging was high quality, the fabric is quilted and feels luxurious. The zipper is sturdy and the size is generous. It fit my mattress with no problems.

You’ll want help putting on queen size and larger but that’s just because the mattresses are cumbersome. It’s hard to believe this is waterproof because it doesn’t feel like plastic, way better than other waterproof covers I’ve tried.

Likewise it feels nicer to the touch than other covers I’ve tried that are dust and allergy resistant.

My living room futon. well, it sucks. I need a new mattress, but COVID has hurt my funds. I was blessed with this and figured I’d give it a shot on the futon. I was instantly transformed into near-heaven.

My hip didn’t hurt 3 minutes into sitting down! I fell asleep watching a movie and didn’t wake up feeling like a pretzel! I absolutely intend on getting a second one for my own bed. The pocket is super deep and can certainly fit a thicker mattress – just be careful putting it on as the sides are delicate.

I sleep on a mattress that does not have a pillow top and is about 5 years old, this mattress pad has brought some comfort back to it. The materials used and construction of the pad is quite nice and is showing no signs of wear, after two months.

I have only washed it once and I did not put it in the dryer. It has some great stretch material to go underneath my mattress well and I imagine can even fit pillow tops with ease. The squares are ideal, in my opinion, to keep the polyester in place.

Zero issues thus far.

Mattresses are so expensive nowadays that I was looking for something to supplement mine. Starting to get a little hard to sleep on it so I wanted to put some type of mattress pad on it. High quality and lightweight, fully waterproof/protective, and actually stays very cool. I’ve used other cooling protectors and this one is a cut above the rest. Genuinely sleeps cooler and has helped me get a better night sleep.

You can use a fan if you get really warm and this super cools the mattress protector, highly recommend. I live in Southern California and it is warm year round.

I have psoriatic arthritis and I am in pain 24/7/365. The only time I am almost pain free is when I am in this bed. I am sleeping 6/8 hours with out waking due to pain. Freaking miracle. Somehow this mattress truly does not put any pressure anywhere.

Pairs very well with Tempur-Pedic mattresses, the extra stretch it has to it allows the mattress to contour as it’s intended. It doesn’t even feel like it’s there! This is a must for Tempur owners!

When I received this mattress pad my husband said, “What’s that for?” (lol) and I replied, “To add to our sleeping comfort, my love. ” He doesn’t seem to notice much of a difference. I do. It feels like a nice quality product out of the bag, there is no weird odor like some bedding products suffer from, and it fits the mattress very well without over-stretching.

And it does just what you’d hope and expect it to do. It provides a simple and soft cushioning to nestle into, yet isn’t overdone so that you feel like you’re sinking into something. I almost wish my bed was just a tiny bit firmer as a base to the softness tbh.

I was sent a Scott Living 300 Thread Count Tencel & Polyester Filled Matress Pad from the TryIt Sampling Community to test out and review. This item is very easy to put on a bed. It fits well and adds just enough extra height to ensure a cozy night’s sleep.

It also is light weight and doesn’t make you overheated or sweaty during the night. I especially love that it has diamond section stitched areas – meaning the filling won’t jumble or move. Another plus is that it’s perfect for those suffering allergies.

The only drawback I can see is that it recommends dry cleaning, which can get expensive. Other than that, it’s a great mattress pad.

Our mattress felt good in store, but sleeping on it at home has been so-so. My husband has been wanting a mattress pad, we finally got this one. What took so long?!? This is definitely like sleeping on a cloud! So soft, cradles your body for a close, comfortable sleep.

Recently I had an injury to my arm that required bandages and a wrap to keep my injury protected. Unfortunately, during the night it all got loose and when I awoke in the morning, there was blood down my arm and a small pool of blood on my bed sheet that had soaked into my Tencel Protect-A-Bed that had dried; happily when I looked at my mattress none of the blood went thru the Protect-A-Bed, it did exactly what it is designed to do that’s in its name – totally truth in advertising.

What made me even happier was how all the blood easily washed out, completely. I placed the stained section of the Protect-A-Bed into the sink with some cold water to soak and came back 15 minutes after I got off the phone.

When I returned to clean it, most of the blood floated right off, yes, the rest came out easily with a bar of soap, soft brush, and cold water – very happy! To complete the cleaning of the rest of the mattress protector, I placed it into the cloths washer, when it came out of the dryer, low heat, it looked great! Earlier this year I contacted Protect-A-Bed and worked with Denis, excellent customer Service.

Really liked my mattress cover kept me cool. I had returned my first mattress because it was too soft; but the next mattress I got was perfect. My last contact was Customer service with Melanie and she was awesome too.

Replaced a 13-year-old mattress pad I thought I’d never replace with this new Therapedic Tencel Temperature Perfection Queen Mattress Pad. Increased comfort was immediate! After a first washing, the new mattress pad easily fit over our Queen-size Select Comfort Mattress pad; deep pockets more-than-ample for tucking in underneath the mattress.

Pad makes no sound (like other mattress pads might), which is a plus – quiet, comfort! Would definitely purchase again (in another 10+ years?). Highly recommend.

The first thing I did wash was this product which wasn’t a problem. Everything seemed to hold up correctly. I love how this fits my thick mattress. I have always had issues with finding something that fit and stayed snug.

i love this Therapedic Tencel Temperature Perfection Mattress Pad. The stitching is tight and even. The material is super soft and has just enough fill for incredible comfort. I washed it in cold and tumble dried and didn’t notice any shrinkage.

It fits my 10″ high mattress perfectly and stays in place throughout the night. Although it is nice and plush it isn’t so thick that your sheets don’t fit your mattress when using it. If you have a firm mattress like me and need a little cushioning, this is the mattress pad for you.

I have tried this mattress pad for a few weeks now and I am not impressed. I usually sleep hot and, as you can imagine, during the summer months it can get a little uncomfortable at night. I thought this cooling mattress pad might help alleviate some of the warmth that tends to build up over night.

It didn’t. I was still waking up in the middle of the night hot. There are some good features to this pad such as it fits my extra thick mattress and it goes no nicely. It stays attached and is barely noticeable underneath the sheets.

It’s comfortable to sleep on. It just doesn’t cool. A little disappointed.

This Kathy Ireland pro cooling mattress pad is absolutely amazing! I have to admit I thought at first no way this would work, but I was wrong! It’s absolutely amazing in its ability to keep you cool! It’s very well made! I highly recommend this mattress pad! It’s also a great mattress pad for those who don’t need the cooling feature as it is thick and will protect along with cool! A must buy in my book! In fact we plan to purchase for our other beds and also for gifts in the future!.

I got this and couldn’t wait to use it, washed per instructions and then easy to put on my mattress. I love the straps on the side. Made of durable material so I know this won’t slide off. It was like sleeping on a cloud of dreams.

Sleep Philosophy was not a familiar brand to me until I tried this great mattress pad. It. Was easy to put on over my mattress. I love that it’s antimicrobial and an odor eliminator. Fits great on my queen size mattress.

Does not slide off or bunch like other similar products. This product is great and I highly recommend you get one!!.

I have been using this product for a few weeks now. it is very comfortable and was easy to use. It looks nice on my bed and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. It fit very true to size on my bed. It came out of the wash in great shape.

I got the Sleep Philosophy – 300TC Cotton Tencel Filled Mattress Pad Antimicrobial BI-OME Odor Eliminator and it’s great! If your looking for alot of support however it’s not for you. Other than that it’s super comfortable and provides a bit of padding while keeping us warm when cold and cool when hot.

I would definitely recommend it to family and friends.
