The Chuckit! is great fun for our 5-month-old chocolate lab puppy. It’s fun for my husband and me as well. We have a house full of furry family members and Truly, the pup, has been a wonderful addition to our family.

Since we’re on the older side (60) playing fetch can be a bit difficult as our health prevents us from performing significant physical activity. This toy is a life-saver. We used it tonight for the first time since the purchase.

Truly was able to burn off a great deal of her energy and I was thrilled to see her run like the wind. My pup is fast indeed! The Chuckit! design allowed my husband to pick up the ball without having to bend and aggravate his sciatica.

I think he enjoyed it as much as Truly! This will now become a part of her daily exercise routine providing me with laughter and joy. I highly recommend this toy for pups and dogs with high energy levels.

I was looking for a Chuckit Mini Ball Launcher and couldn’t find one anywhere no one had them in stock. Dfordog was the only company that offered to email me when more came in stock. And they did. That same day I ordered one for my Teacup Yorkshire Terrier who loves chasing balls but at nearly sixty I can’t throw them as far as I used to.

And I thought this would be just the thing. With in a couple of days it was delivered and I haven’t looked back. Teddy loves it he flies after his ball. Not only does the ball that came with the launcher but any size 2″ ball will fit in and work with the launcher.

I use Chuckit small breath easy balls. I just hope it never breaks. But at least I know where to get another one if it does. Thank you Dfordog from both myself and Teddy.

Hi, I’m an eight month old Red Heeler. I’m not bragging but I run way faster than my owner can throw a ball. Frankly, I’m a little embarrassed that she can’t keep up. Sometimes I just tell the other dogs that she’s my nanny.

Recently she bought the Chuckit Launcher and now I’m going to have to eat a little Crow. This I cannot out run. Man she’s a smart cookie. It’s tough too. On occasion I’ve been known to be more interested eating the Launcher, without success.

This toy launches the balls so far, and fast, faster than me and that says everything.

I have been buying Chuck It products for years. Multiple launchers in various sizes, the flying Squirrel, the volleyball sized ball with notches. The products have lasted forever. My medium size launcher finally was done after many years of play.

I bought a replacement at a Pet Store and it cracked and slowly the crack spread to where you couldnt use it. I bought another one on Chewy. com about a month ago. I went to use it this morning. The ball was stuck in the launcher, so it flew from my hand and hit the driveway.

I realize this isnt supposed to happen, but I never expected this PLASTIC toy to basically shear and break in a fairly thick part of the shaft. I really think that the material is not the same and not nearly as durable as it used to be.

Tough cause the product is fantastic, but I am questioning the quality of the plastic. PS, I bought a bunch of the rubber balls, which are way more durable than the fuzzy tennis ball ones.

I came across the Hyper Pet K9 Kannon and couldn’t resist buying it ! I have a high energy Jack Russell that loves to play fetch until my arm wants to fall off… the particular model I purchased will accept the mini Kong squeeker balls which are perfect for my size and breed fur baby.

He absolutely loves this product and will paw at it in his toy pile to play with it. Honestly I’m not sure if I have more fun with it than him lol. It has the ability to put a ball in the barrel and a indent on the side to keep another spare ball in case you lose one or to load the spare when your pet chases the other.

It also has a pull back locking charge hammer that locks in place and is activated by pulling the trigger, the rubber bands forces the the charge hammer rod to make contact with the ball and forces it out of the barrel sending it about 20-30’.

It’s literally a blast to watch them chase and locate the ball and return it back to you. The K9 Kannon has provided me with countless hours of fun and quality time with my pet and I’m sure you will have the same results go get yours today!.

My pit bull dog loves to play ball and when I had shoulder surgery I was unable to throw a tennis ball so I purchased the K9 Kannon. As we wear them out, I purchase another. This is probably my 6th purchase of this toy but the first of the new style.

The new style has more rounded edges and a heftier feel. It works like the older style but getting full extension of the ram is slightly more difficult. Range of the ‘throw’ is highly dependent on the age of the band in the Kannon and the age and condition of the ball.

New + New = more distance. My only complaint is that the ball that came with the K9 Kannon lasted for ONE, yes 1, throw. The glue used to hold the 2 halves of the ball together did not hold and the dog returned with a ball that was held together by the cover.

The ball is worthless for this use so I recommend that you purchase additional replacement HyperPet balls when you purchase the Kannon so that your best friend is not disappointed. All-in-all and defective balls not withstanding, my dog loves this toy and I will recommend and purchase again.

My kids have a difficult time with the chuck it stick but they love to play with their puppy. This is a perfect alternative, especially since they tire quickly. The under 5 group gets too close when they shoot it alone and suffer ‘slide bite’ from the pull back lever.

I hold the barrel, they stand to the side to pull the trigger and all is well. The above 5 group learned the proper grip quickly and have a great time. For me, I prefer the long handle chuck it stick because I get better distance but the dog sure loves the variety, and addinging more family members to the play makes a longer work out for him.

The dog, who loves fetch didn’t understand at first, we used treats to re-enforce the first playtime. It wasn’t needed after that. We couldn’t relaunch fast enough for him to be bothered with treats.

The Tennis Twist ball machine is a great favorite among my tennis students, both juniors and adults at levels from complete beginner to fairly advanced. It feeds an easy, consistent ball that’s perfect for grooving a stroke.

Learning to adapt that stroke to varying spins, speeds, and heights of incoming balls comes later. I use the Tennis Twist much more than my bigger, more powerful machine. The height of its feeds can be adjusted low enough for teaching how to slice low balls to the backhand or high enough to feed orange balls for kids’ overheads.

It’s small and light enough to take anywhere easily.

Bought this several years ago when I began learning tennis, as an adult. Great drill for forehand and backhand shots, driving from the baseline, and shot placement from the short court. Excellent workout for the legs.

Good for kids, youth and adults. The spring broke after years of use. Called the manufacturer and they sent a replacement spring – at no cost! Great service/support.

The machine does its job but the quality is substandard with cheap plastic. You need to buy your own rechargeable batteries as well. It takes some effort to fit the batteries into the chamber. Unfortunately this website does not accept returns due to change of mind.

There are products with better quality in the same price range. Shop around.

I have several Chuck-it launchers, and love the comfortable handle on the Pro. However, I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks, and the medium rubber Chuck-it balls I use, even the worn smooth ones, still stick and don’t release without a full power throw and a sudden jerky stop to force a ball release.

That sudden stop motion reduces control of distance and trajectory, and further creates elbow soreness after repeated use, so into the the bin it goes. I’m back to using my old base 18” model which works great.

I had similar ball sticking problems with a base level 12” launcher and a 25” launcher, too, so it seems like quality control issue in production. I don’t use the felt covered balls so I don’t know if it’s an issue with them.

When you get a good one with just the right amount of friction and resistance to hold and release the ball with your natural throwing motion, these launchers are great. Unfortunately, I’ve had three now that haven’t worked well with the rubber covered medium Chuck-it balls.

The balls end up bouncing on the ground in front of you.

The Sports Tutor Tennis Twist is a great cheap tennis ball machine! I was looking for a machine which was cheap and one I could use to get more consistency in my groundstrokes and volleys. This provides exactly that! It’s obviously not the best or most advanced tennis ball launcher out there, but it provides exactly what I need – balls at a decent (and adjustable) height, at regular intervals, and with a consistent placement.

Allows me to do all the drills I want to and improve. Much better than I expected!.

I had been using the 18” pro launcher with regular tennis balls, which are less than a dollar a ball at Target or free used at tennis courts. But our dog is a toy aussie, 14 pounds (I don’t know how she managed to get her mouth around the big balls, but she loved them!) and I was worried about her getting TMJ or something since we play with balls every day, for at least a half hour.

So I looked into the mini ball launchers. At first I got the 25” one which was too long. It would be hard to chuck balls short distances as we walk through the park – would have only been good for the big field.

And it looked like it might hurt me to use it – I’m not very big or muscular. So I ordered the 14” which is tiny but does the trick. It throws almost as far as the tennis ball pro in the big field, and is easy to control for chucking short distances.

Now I just need to figure out the ball situation. Chuckit mini balls (2-inch diameters) are expensive, like $5 each, and we do lose them occasionally down the waterfall or in the blackberry brambles.

And the ball that came with it was shaggy after the first outing. She’ll chew the nap off if I let her, and then it’s ruined. So I need to find a source for affordable 2-inch mini balls, preferably in bulk!.

We’re just bummed. We were replacing one that was lost in Central Park and we forgot what size it was. Turns out the one we lost was only like 18 inches I went to pick this one up (online order and pick up at store) and I realized when I looked at it that it was too big and the woman told me the only thing she could do was give me my money back and make me wait in this super long line for people who want to shop inside the store.

and I didn’t wanna wait in a super long line and I was honestly quite bothered because I would’ve let Petco keep the money and just give me the smaller size chuck it launcher but this woman would not do that at the Lexington and 87th Location.

She even told me it was the perfect size for my dog but it has little to do with the dog and more to do with the person throwing it. It is hard to use and awkward to use. I would’ve written a better review if I had better customer service.

I’m used to the royal treatment from Petco. Was caught off guard with the way this woman treated me.

My GSD loves fetch, but he chews the ball as he’s running back with it. The actual Chuckit! launcher is great, but he destroyed the tennis ball within a few throws. Frustrated, I thought about returning the entire thing, BUT Chuckit! also makes rubber balls.

The 3″ rubber balls fit the large Chuckit!, and they are PERFECT for the dog who chews on the ball upon retreat. I wish the rubber ball was packaged with the launcher. Still, I would purchase again. Deducted 1 star for the durability of the tennis ball.

It’s Brilliant. It sends the ball much farther than the smaller old ball thrower we had. You had to use that over arm which is more tiring on you. Well made , so easy to use. It goes so far with an underarm movement.

I bought the whistling balls and these go better than the tennis ball one. They also have holes in them which is good as the dog can breathe through them. It is good fun and wears the dog out in about 30 minutes of chucking the ball.

Worth the extra money.

We bought this for our Hungarian Vizsla and we literally use it every day! Great to use on a hill and throw the ball long distances to tire him out and use up all his energy. It is good quality and if you lose the ball like we did, you can use it with a regular good quality tennis ball from kmart.

Disappointed it came with tennis-ball ball -thought it came with the rubber one. I went out to buy some which are great, bouncy, chewy, very hard wearing. The launcher is a very tight fit, requiring an energetic flick to release the ball.

I suppose that uses a different set of muscles from throwing. Ball doesn’t go far and the curve of the handle directs it to the ground very quickly. I shall persevere!.

I was looking for something inexpensive to use to practice my backhand swing, since it’s pretty hard to toss to myself. I found this and didn’t expect much for $50, but I was pleasantly surprised. This little launcher has a soft toss, but it does give me what I need, a toss to my backhand.

Plus, I find I can get a pretty good warm up or workout using it. I place it near the service line to practice baseline shots, and I put it closer to the net to practice charging in from the baseline to return shallow shots.

I also alternate between backhand and forehand by using the sidestep between launches. I vary the height by placing the launcher on the ground, balancing it securely on top of my collapsed hopper, or balancing it securely on top of my standing hopper.

I also place it securely on my standing hopper on the other side of the net to practice net shots. This doesn’t rival the $3k machines you see but can’t expect it to at this price point, and it does clearly say that it’s for kids and beginners, so it’s not about speed or spin.

I used it to warm up before playing with my tennis group. Our organizer saw it and asked some questions. He then brought his wife to one of the meet ups, and she tried it out. She liked it, and they ordered one for her.

I think that says a lot. 🙂 This is a nice little launcher that I recommend for beginners and children. I also recommend it for anyone who usually practices by dropping the ball then swinging, since it’s definitely a step above that.

Note: It runs on 4 D batteries and holds about 10 tennis balls, wish it held more balls.

My pup loves chasing balls and playing fetch. We are visiting my parents and go to the dog park daily. After seeing a few people with the launchers, I order the 12. My dog starts to cry with excitement when she sees it and can play fetch for a solid 30 minutes – even with other pups in the area.

She loves it. I love that I don’t have to pick up a ball that’s been landing in a dog park and in her mouth. The launcher does “launch” the ball to go faster and farther then when I throw it. I got the 12 because I was concerned with launching it outside of the park (did that once).

However, many of the residents who have physical limitations with either picking up the balls or throwing them purchased the longer ones. They seem to be able to keep the balls in the park. Tip: The launcher has also different ball sizes.

I have the medium and it works with a few medium Chuck it balls that we have.

These are great! We bought another one to take with us when we travel. They last forever. Grandma can now play with the dog without risk of getting a bite (not hard, but grandma is fragile) and she can actually get some distance on the ball with this.

I like it because I don’t have to pick up the slobbery ball and try to pull it out of the dogs mouth! There is a little technique you have to learn, but it’s fairly intuitive. Great way to have good, clean fun with your dog!.

I need to give this two reviews, really, for two different dogs. Benny: australian shepherd/rottweiler mix. 4 years old when i adopted him. RIDICULOUS amounts of energy and play drive. Chuck-its were my saving grace when I had him, let me tell you that I am NOT exaggerating when I say that the only way I was able to keep him content all day was to walk nearly an hour to the nearest big park, stand on top of a hill and throw his toy down the hill for nearly an hour, and then walk all the way back.

Almost 3 hours of exercise EVERY SINGLE DAY. The only other toy that compared with this one at all was his lure pole, but he managed to break that constantly so this one was the only one that worked AND lasted.

Zero: labrador/rottweiler mix. 1y4m when I adopted him. Listed as medium to low energy by the shelter. He only just recently got his first chuckit (this specific listing) and he LOVES it. It takes maybe 15 minutes to wear him out with it (on flat ground) but it’s the only toy that really allows him to sprint instead of just kind of bouncing around.

It’s not the best toy for him since he needs more mental stimulation than physical, but it’s still an excellent addition to his collection. I may start using this before events where I’ll need him to be calm and tuckered out, such as routine vet visits or going to the groomer.

It does throw the ball FAR though, so this is not an at home toy unless you have a HUGE yard. I also highly recommend getting brightly colored balls that will stand out against the grass, as your dog is likely to lose sight of the ball sometimes and they need to be able to find it again (unless you want to walk out to show them where it is) Last big point is that you don’t have to touch the ball! It’s very easy to pick up a ball with this without even bending over much, even balls that have been broken some.

We bought once of these when they were commonly found in stores when our ShepX was a puppy. he LOVED this thing. Just seeing it, he would get very excited. We did have to buy a number of replacement bands.

More so once storing it in a plastic cabinet on our covered porch, in the hot and cold more than when it was inside. We had bought replacement bands over Ebay, as at the time it was the only place to find them.

The generic are cheaper, though that 2 pack lasted as long as one of the actual replacements made by hyperpet. It has a few rusty spots now due to being stored with damp balls on it. Buddy Boy crossed the bridge last summer, but we kept this as we figured he would want us to make some other pup happy one day.

We learned to launch high and short, hard hit ground runners, as well as long – far shots. Buddy learned which to catch right from the air, and which to catch after a bounce or two. In his last months, 2-4 simple shots and he was done – but he loved this thing most of his wonderful 13 years.

These are pretty neat. I originally purchased it because I have a high energy German Shepherd who adores playing fetch and I just couldn’t stomach having to pick up slobber and whatever else covered balls and frisbees anymore with my bare hands when he insists on one more throw.

It definitely allows me to toss a ball a lot faster and further than I am able to otherwise so it’s a win win. I would suggest getting the rubber balls for the launcher because they typically come with 1-2 chuck it tennis balls and those are terrible quality and tear apart immediately.

It took less than 3 minutes of our mini alligator dog to tear it up. I began using my regular Wilson tennis balls with the launcher and whilst the tennis balls are just a smidge too small, they seem to fit in the launcher well snd it does the job.

Basically, if you have a fetch loving dog, buy this! Amazon sells them for fairly cheap!.

This is a FAVORITE in our house!! My female mastiff will go insane when she sees you pick up the launcher! We don’t dare go to the dog park without it! When not outside throwing it for her, she carries the ball around the house trying to get you to throw it down the hall.

She has even been known to sleep with the darn ball. For two mastiffs, the soft balls do not last very long, they puncture them super easily, but the harder ones last forever in our house. A must for active dogs! We have two, one for our backyard and one to keep in the car for the dog park and trips.

100% would recommend!.

I have a border collie who is obsessed with playing ball. We had to buy her one of these to keep her happy! She is quick, and gets the ball slimy pretty fast. She gets joy out of the ball going VERY far and I love that I don’t have to pick up her slimy balls anymore 😂 we have gotten a lot of extra balls for this and all of them are great.

The most amazing one we have found is the my border collie will keep playing even when she can’t breathe. This ball helps her catch her breathe while she’s still able to play. It’s light weight and goes very far too.

Great idea but the ball didn’t last. Second play session the molding of the two rubber portions of the ball split inside it’s fur casing. So you’re really paying for a launcher to use with tennis balls.

I would not recommend until they get the gluing right.

The launcher is great and will save wear and tear on my shoulder. I can throw many more repetitions with this. The ball is cheap and won’t last long. It did survive our first 20 minute game of fetch.

I was looking forward to using this because it has more flex than the older Chuck It one we have, which is like swinging a pipe! Guess what, it doesn’t work with the Chuck It balls that we already have.

It is just a tiny bit smaller, and the balls don’t come out when they should. Pretty much useless as soon as the included ball is destroyed by your dog. This will be fast, too, since the ball is not nearly as tough as the Chuck It ones are.

Save your money, get one that will work with regular tennis balls and Chuck It balls.

This is a great launcher – especially for the price. The ball it comes with is smaller than a tennis ball, but it will also launch tennis balls. I tried it with the bigger balls and it doesn’t work – stick with tennis balls! It launches much farther that I can throw and my dog enjoyed the extra running and wanted to play so much more that I had a sore forearm the next day!.

I broke my arm and can’t throw as far as I used to quite yet so I decided to get this. It’s amazing, my dog loves is and was quickly burnt out from all the running. My yard is about 70ft from deck to fence and it went clear across the yard.

Could probably have gone farther without the fence but it’s amazing. And I can use it with other tennis balls if I do lose the one it came with.

so much better than picking up the slobbery ball every time. my pup can fetch forever if you let her so this thing def saves your arm too. also this size is perfect for medium sized yards! It can really launch, or can just get tossed which is great.

All in all glad i got this length :).

Have used this with both the dogs in the dog play yard. It lobs the ball that it comes with a great distance. I would recommend this for any person who would love to give their dogs the opportunity to run a distance to fetch a ball.

Ours love it and when I get it out they can not wait until I launch it. I recommend the this not be left to the dogs to play with independently since it one has a chewer the plastic launcher would likely be destroyed.

It does nothing for the dogs without being used as intended. It is absolutely a great idea for anyone who has a problem with throwing something far – for shoulder problems it is a great invention as it really takes the work of throwing away from one’s body and does that for a person.

The ball on the Jr. is smaller than what I would like to have for the dogs the size we have. However, it still works fine even so.

I’m an older dog mom, and never could throw a ball worth a darn. I had no idea how this would work, but finally figured I’d give it a try. Wow! A game changer! Shayne sees me put the ball in it, and starts running before I even “throw” it! My aim isn’t always great, and I can only do it from the side, not overhead, but it works, and it works well.

This is fantastic, and highly recommended.

I purchased this tennis ball launcher for my play time with my dog, a German Wirehair Pointer. He’s young and muscular and loves to fetch tennis balls and bring them back to me to do it all over again.

The reason I purchased this gun was to launch the balls farther than I can throw them. I’m 77 yrs. old and there’s no comparison. I can out throw this gun any time. Granted after repeated throws I would eventually tire, but as it stands now I would not recommend it if your objective is to launch for greater distances than you can throw in order to increase your dog’s exercise.

The gun is nicely built and easy to use. The concept is there but the execution just doesn’t get it.

I had one of these before and it lasted about 2 years with DAILY usage. The rubber band broke and I still haven’t been able to find a replacement, so I bought the cheaper BazooK9. It’s spring operated, clunky, harder to pull, not as accurate, and hasn’t the range of the K-9 Kannon.

I figured that with it being spring loaded, rather than rubber band, that it would last longer. Wrong. When it broke in less than a year I bought another K-9 Kannon. So smooth. Accurate. My dog doesn’t know the difference, but I do.

This thing is great. You and stand in one place and shoot a tennis balls 80 ft. My GSD goes nuts when she see’s me pick it up. I can exercise her and not kill my shoulder throwing for a hour. Easy to use, works with standard tennis balls.

Only down side, its hard for kids to use, because it takes some strength to pull it back. if you have a high energy dog? this thing rocks!.
