20 Best Tent For Glamping (2022 Updated)

We bought this as a sort of gazebo for outdoor entertaining in lockdown. It has loads of space, very good ventilation and its light and bright. Weve had it up for a free weeks now and used it for entertaining.

We have a three seat rattan sofa, 2 armchairs and a dining table in there and can still move around. It poured with rain one night we were in there and we were bone dry. Weve had a lot of rain since and not a drop inside.

It feels quite yurt-like because its one large room and due to the shape. We have had no condensation at all either. The only slight negative would be that if I were using it for camping I would only want to do that in warm weather as due to the great ventilation it can be quite chilly after the sun has gone in too.

Otherwise, I absolutely love it.

I bought this over 2 months ago , used 4 times now for 3 nights each time. The coloured bars make this tent so easy to put up! Takes 10mins to erect! 10 mins to pull down. Absolutely gorgeous, my son loved it too and he also bought one.

We are so happy with this purchase. My only criticism would be , it states it sleeps 8. I would struggle personally with airbeds to fit 6 in ! This is more a family tent of 4 with air beds.

My family member purchased in blue and we spent a couple nights camping with them. Great spacious tent that we could stand up in, has a great feature with the hinged door. Really easy to put up and take down (useful tutorial on line) great storage case on wheels.

Not over priced for the quality tent. So pleased with theirs I decided to purchase one myself in orange. Been camping together now. Pitched neatly beside each other. Many more camping trips planned for the future.

This Tent is high quality canvas and heavy duty stakes. Our first night in it, we were hammered by hail and heavy rain for hours. It stayed water tight with no issues. The only drawback is it does not come with a bag for storage and is quite large even when compressed and folded.

We found a XL waterproof duffle bag that works awesome but cost $120. I will be ordering the new version of the wall enclosure for the awning section as we will be using this tent for years to come. It is well worth the price tag.

Purchased the tent Memorial Day Sale 2022. First use was 4th of July weekend near Bishop’s Castle. Size: I’m 6′-1″ and was able to stand up to get dressed in. This was my first tent I’ve been able to do that with, and it was such a convenience.

Floor space; I had a queen size air mattress and there was still 1 1/2 feet remaining on each side, and probably close to 3 feet remaining at the foot of the mattress for clothes and and gear you may need.

The fly creates two vestiblues which I was able to have all of our shoes out of the tent and even our cooler to make lunch in the tent during the rain. The tent also comes with an oversized duffle bag and is extremely light in weight for what this tent has to offer.

Fantastic weather performance: When we arrived to our site, it was consistently drizzling, but setup was relatively easy being the first time. The corners of the the tent and and fly are color coordinated which I got lucky with.

There are only 4 poles which helped with ease of setting up. It continued to rain for another 2-3 hours after setup and all the water just ran the off the fly with no issues. Only minor issue was the inside floor got a bit wet during setup, but easily soaked up with a towel.

Night 2 was the same as night 1. Afternoon rain for almost 3 hours which, not one drop made through the fly or the tub. Fantastic! Night 3 was very minor rain, but heavy on the wind. Laying inside, the tent was so tight (even without any guy lines), all I heard was the wind in the tress, not one piece of fabric was fluttering.

I only wish I got to experience one night without the fly to see the stars. I don’t really have many cons. I would say my biggest inconvenience was, which is pretty minor is with my height, squeezing in through the fly was a bit tight with it cinched down tightly.

The other is that the picture shows two tarp poles making a little shade canopy. Those are not included, but can be purchased and maybe I missed the info somewhere, but discovered it in the carry bag with the setup instructions.

So that was a little disappointing to find out. All in all, a fantastic tent that I would buy again. It also didn’t hurt that with the sale discount, I got it cheaper the the 4 person version (at full price).

The Aurora Highrise is surprisingly simple to set up. We practiced our first set up in our great room with “help” from our 2 and 5 year old grand kids. Other than wrangling our little help-monkeys and yards and yards of gorgeous blue fabric, it was a straightforward process.

The rain fly has color-coded straps to assure that the correct sides are aligned. Slightly shaped aluminum poles snap together quickly and thread through sleeves along the top of the tent. We loved the handy sewn-in pockets for headlamp, keys and phone.

The 6 person tent will be great for when we’d like to keep our mountain bikes secure and dry overnight — there’s of room for 2 people, gear AND bikes. Heavy duty zippers, tabs and hooks all worked flawlessly with minimal hassle.

Extra tabs and strings have been added where fingers need a little more purchase area for tugging. We loved those thoughtful touches. The air flow is a great improvement over our experience with Nemo’s Wagontop tent.

While we didn’t have any rain during our outing, the fly covers just enough of the vented areas to assure you’d have coverage from weather as well as adequate airflow. Having two covered entrances/vestibules is super convenient.

The durable floor fabric should stand up well for those with dogs, kiddos and traffic. Packing up in the morning was simple. Flatten, fold, roll and go! Tent, fly and separate pole bag slip easily back into the 12 x 12 x 36 inch duffel.

I love this 8 man tent. Truth be told, it’s just my husband and me. So an 8 man tent is what some may call excessive for 2 people. But let me tell you, I love having so much space. I’m used to tiny backpacking tents so when I was deciding on a tent to use at drive up campsites, I decided to go big.

It was very easy to set up with 2 people (we didn’t argue at all!) and after the first time, I think I’d be fine to set it up by myself. We set up our bed in the main room like it was a master bedroom.

Being able to stand up all the way (we’re 5’4” and 5’7”) was luxurious. It has 2 large windows and a nice vent. Even when it rained with all the windows zipped up and the rain fly on, it was still breezy and not stuffy.

I saw a few other people mention the “door” between the main room and the ante room is a perfect circle so you have to step up and over to get through. We didn’t mind at all as it gives it some character (great for photos!) and it keeps the main room separate as the clean room and the ante room the more dirty room for wiping feet off and dirty towels and gear.

It would have been nice if we had packed a little dustbin and broom for this reason. The ante room you can almost stand all the way up in. We used it like a patio, storage and food pantry. We could easily fit a chair or two and a table for food prep inside.

The zip windows are on all 3 sides so it feels like a screened in patio. Only minor complaint was the bottom horizontal zippers at the entrance catch easily on the fabric meant to keep the zippers dry.

We were careful after it happened a few times and it was fine. Overall, I think it’s a phenomenal tent. I could easily see a family of 4-5 or a group of friends sleeping in it or if you want to feel like you’re glamping just 2 people like we did.

I car camp with my two dogs and this provides us with lots of room. I loved the screen area to sit in the evening keep the bugs off but still able to enjoy the outdoors. It’s also a good area to store food away from bugs and wildlife.

It’s easy to set up. I was able to do it by myself and it wasn’t a problem. The only negative is I wish it had a small opening to allow an electric cord in the sleeping area so I don’t have to run it through the front door.

Overall great tent!.

After reading reviews, I ordered the 10X12 and the front porch, ultimately to use at a campsite of ours alongside a river in Indiana favorable for fly-fishing. Regarding customer service, we placed the order in early March just as Coronavirus was beginning to spread.

The tent arrived, but not the poles (shipped separately) and so I raised questions to White Duck. They acted immediately to trace the shipment and determined that it had been lost, and said they immediately would ship a new set of poles.

Due to the shutdowns associated with the virus, I was ready for there to be further disruption, so I inquired about the timing of arrival, only to discover that very morning they had an earthquake which damaged the warehouse, injured, and cut power! They remained highly responsive in the turmoil, and managed to confirm the shipment had taken place and provide tracking information, clearly concerned that I receive all in time for planned use of it.

There was clearly a strong sense of personal responsibility that the company meet my need, even as they suffered under the incredible challenges of virus and earthquake. Regarding the product, I have nothing else to compare to, but I think it’s outstanding.

Every detail and need seems to have been thought of and met, including precise numbers of diverse stakes, a mallet, carrying cases, and cords all pre-attached to the tent and properly knotted, and buckles and hooks to hold flaps in well-considered ways and places.

The manual was a tad confusing but that did not long delay our assembling the poles and erecting the tent for the first time, which we did in our back yard for the experience of it. All pieces were as specified and none missing.

(I’m still a little confused about an included wire aperture and am seeking guidance. ) The clear roll-up windows arrived pretty wrinkled from shipping; my expectation is that situation will resolve itself, but have asked for recommendation from White Duck as to how address it.

The tent and poles are all heavy duty. and heavy to carry. Best to have two people pitching in. I had also bought A medium (Winterwell) camp stove, along with fire mat, double-wall chimney section, and flashing.

I was able easily using a sharp knife to cut the necessary hole in the tent’s stove jack and install the flashing, followed by the camp stove and chimney. (As an experiment, on a windy, overcast, 50 degree day, the temperature inside the tent rose to 94 degrees in no time.

)If we have need for a second tent for our campsite, I would not hesitate to order It from White Duck again.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. All I can say is WOW. We got this tent before our elk season here in Oregon and had been looking for a canvas tent that could stand up to the elements of camping on top of a mountain in November.

The tent was perfect size for two of us, and with a heater going it kept us warm inside while it dropped into the low 20s overnight. On our last night, there was a serious windstorm that went through and I had thought for a moment while laying in my cot “I hope this tent can take this storm, otherwise we are going to be in for some trouble”! The tent barely budged when the gusts hit, I was impressed! One thing I liked was how there was an overhang on the front that kept our gear dry and that we could secure the door open during the days.

Purchased the 10X12 Alpha wall tent. To say that I’m pleased would be an understatement. I ordered on Friday and received my shipment the next Wednesday. I had to open it up and put it together and the quality was better than I expected.

My nephew and I had it together in less than 30 minutes and the take down was about the same. I am excited to get it set up on our new property and put it to use! As of right now I highly recommend if you are in the market for a long term, large, wall tent.

Love this tent (or hotel, condo?) lol Definitely got a lot of stops and stares from the other campers. We only used it for a weekend so far so it’s probably too early to really say but it did rain almost the whole time and I had no moisture inside.

I bought spray rain protection but never got around to using it but it was recommended I do that. Plenty of room for several air mattresses. We had three queens and had plenty of room still. Set up was NOT as easy as I imagined.

It will be easier next time I’m sure but a little frustrating this first time. Not much for tips I can give ya there except start early. Definitely don’t do it in the dark! And it would be very difficult for just one person to put up.

I have used this tent for a solid 2 months this summer. It has been set in the same spot all this time. I started with the floor in but quickly realized this was for snow winter ise only. It is a sold rubberized flooring that holds any water in place.

Without fans water will need to be soaked up with towels. Left the door open while away and came home to a soak pool. The canvas and screen are strong and durable. We have had many thunder lightning and high wind storms this summer with hail.

90 mph winds no issues if staked right. The only issue I have is all cordage has degraded from the UV and need replacement. The small cord on the chimney cover went first. I duct tape some screen over the hole to use as a vent.

Set up can be done with one person 2 is better 4 is best. The setup was easy if you have set up tents before. I set 2 portable hammocks 2 chairs and a camp table with room to walk around. A battery operated fan saved most nights as there is little air flow even with all windows open.

This is definitely designed for cold weather camping but worked great all summer too. I would buy 4 for the scout troop in a heart beat if needed. I don’t give 5 stars on anything as there is always improvements.

Shopping for a hot tent and came across this. Almost passed it over because of the low price. While this is not canvas it has a canvas like feel and texture. It is a very heavy nylon tent material. It seems very strong, durable and waterproof.

This was very easy to assemble for a first attempt at a wall tent. One person taking about 45 mins to fully complete. I’m sure an experienced person would be faster. There are only a few cons I can think of.

First, this weights 100 lbs which makes it heavy to lift in and out of a vehicle but it rolls nicely once on the ground while in the bag. Most of this weight would be the steel frame that testifies to the integrity of the sturdy frame.

Secondly, the floor velcros to the tent walls and there is only a 10 inch strip of Velcro on the back wall. Fixable but should come with enough Velcro to secure the floor to the walls. If you wanted to cover the outside aprons with snow, water tubes or dirt then this wouldn’t be a big deal.

Thirdly, the pins that bolt the canvas sides to the frame is a pain in the butt to put in place requiring a great deal of pulling to get them in the bottom of the legs. This was where nearly half the time was spent during assembly.

Hint: It helps to start the frame on the 3rd (shortest length) snap hole then after placing the pins adjust the frame to take out slack in the canvas. The rised floor walls are high enough to keep water out but not drafts or critters.

We have had it up for nearly a month while storing some items waiting on a delayed shed delivery. All considered this is a great tent with much better quality than the price would suggest. We will be using this fall and winter at our family retreat.

I do believe we will get many years of use from this Ozark Trail North Fork and recommend.

Purchased this from Wal-Mart with mixed expectations. The design, size, and functionality were great, but I was concerned about quality and durability. You know, you get what you pay for. As expected, within the first season the seams along the roof began to degrade and tore.

During the first winter snow built up on the roof and the thin poles of the structure collapsed, ruining the frame and tearing holes in the fabric. A complete loss. Unfortunately this tent is just not made out of quality materials.

Very dissapointed. Spend the extra money and buy one that’s well made.

This tent was okay, first let me start with the positives, 4 rooms I mean HELLO SPACE! It was nice having rooms on each corner and a central space in the middle. We used this one in our backyard and it did fine.

Set up was okay (about 20 min in the dark). We did however end up returning this for a 3 room instant tent and here is why: for starters the 4 rooms seemed small, with a queen size bed it pretty much didn’t allow any walking space.

We had two blow up air mattress in the second space that spilled out into the center of the tent and the privacy dividers on each room seemed pointless as we couldn’t walk around the bed. Our son was comfortable with a twin blow up mattress and had tons of room in his section.

Also, we were able to put a 6ft table in the middle with chairs! So that was really nice but the “4th room” is really just a entryway so we used it more as a mud room. I am 6ft 1 and my husband is 6ft 6 and he felt very cramped and kept hitting his head, but I was comfortable and felt fine walking the space.

We returned this one and bought a 3 room Ozark instant tent which was better for our family of 6 space wise. Still a good tent just not for us.

This is my 4th Ozark Trail 14-person 4-room with 4 entrances TENT. I keep them up 24/7, 365 days per year, and they always last 9-months or more-that’s over a hundred camping days in sun, rain, and snow, until mine finally die from daily sun rot, pole break, or whatever.

Since I leave it up year-round, I sometimes lay a tarp over it, so it’s protected from the sun rot; slows the aging of the nylon down. So if you are going to camp out in your huge backyard any old time you want, like I do with my grandkids and dogs, (I have privacy fences, and a lot of room), or if you just put it up a dozen camping trips per year, and pack it away for the next summer, this is your baby!! You won’t be sorry, I promise.

It has a bathtub floor, and the walls don’t leak from even 4 or 5 sequential HEAVY days of rain! I have never treated mine with rain stuff. (I love, love, love to sit in there and read, with the pounding rain coming down all around me, all warm and cozy.

) In my room, I have 1 queen inflatable mattress-(I’m going to switch to a full because it’s just me, and a full size would give me some more space. ) In each of the next 2 rooms, I have 1 army cot with plenty of room to spare, with walking room, and a 3-shelf canvas camping end table, and storage under the cots, etc.

; in the middle room, I have a big easy chair, a small table, a twin inflatable mattress that flips closed, after you wake up, and converts into a comfy chair. All rooms have 2 windows that zip closed, an inside privacy door that zips closed, as well, All 4 rooms have their own doors that lead to the outside! I use the one ‘room’ for the entranceway with just chairs on each side.

And of course I have tons of camp lights, camp fans, sheets, pillows, blankets, games, books, a 100-foot extension cord that has it’s own slot to come into the tent. Plenty of comfort camping, here!.

I fully admit I’m a city girl and like my space. When our tent died last year we spent a lot of time looking at tents for our family of 4. We decided on the Base Camp and tried it out last weekend. It took about 20 minutes or so for my husband and I to set up – which is only 5 minutes longer than our previous, smaller tent.

We set it up with a queen air mattress on a folding frame in one wing (my husbands a disabled vet and sleeping low to the ground is a nightmare for him), 2 twin air mattresses on frames in another wing for the kids, turned the 3rd room into a changing room/bathroom (remember, city girl here) and set up a card table and chairs in the center.

Things we learned about space configuration: When you raise the beds with a bedframe, you really can’t close the curtains all the way. If you place the beds to where the feet point to the center room, the beds stick out into that room by a few inches and you can’t close the curtain all the way.

No frame should be no problem in closing the curtains. Within 2 hours of arriving at the campsite, the sky exploded and opened up in a terrible thunderstorm – hail, lightening, you name it. This went on for about 12-14 hours.

Having a space where we could all sit down and hang out playing cards, etc. was fantastic! Let’s face it, going camping and being stuck in the tent is the pits. Having room to walk around and DO something made all the difference – even my kids didn’t argue.

I think I spent half the evening looking around the tent with a goofy grin on my face announcing “I love our new tent!”. We did end up with water in the tent simply because when I mentioned seam sealant I was met with a scoff and “you don’t need to seal the seams!”.

We’ll be sealing them this week after it dries out – that was the *only* place it leaked in a storm that left 5″ deep puddles and lashed out with horizontal rain for literally hours. My only complaint is the weight of the tent when packed, but given the amount of fabric it’s to be expected.

What else is there to say? I love this tent!.

I’m not sure about the quality of the tent because it arrived three weeks after I needed it so I returned it without opening the box. However, the customer service at Camping World was exceptionally bad.

I ordered the tend on May 5th and they said it was backordered until May 7th. On May 25th, the tent had not shipped and I needed it for that weekend. I reached out to customer service via an email and online chat.

I never heard back from my email. The online chat representative told me that the tent was in the “process of shipping” and the order could not be canceled at this time. I never received any sort of shipping notification at all.

The tent arrived to my house last week, five weeks after I ordered it. I saw on the package that it had shipped on June 5th. That’s about ten days after they told me that it was in the process of shipping and couldn’t be canceled.

Now my husband has to lug this heavy tent and pay to have it shipped back. Terrible customer service all around. Would never recommend ordering from this company again.

Went camping for a weekend, got up after work, was easy to set up. The front area kept the tent cleaner than I have experience even with taking your shoes off outside. Loved being able to keep the fly off if we wanted to watch the stars knowing it wasn’t going to rain.

Didn’t want everything damp so we put it on before passing out and simple to do in the dark.

Better than anticipated. Camping world would sell more units if they gave a better description. Very nice family tent. Good quality. Withstood moderate storm first time used.
