20 Best Tent For Suv (2022 Updated)

Bought this and am mainly very happy with it. East & fast to set up. Spacious and great standing room. Last night it rained …. Woke up to a puddle on the floor and the end of the suv where the door is open , is wet – other than that , we like it.

We LOVE this tent! There is so much space to spread out and walk around and get dressed comfortably without hunching down. We are using this tent with a 2016 Mazda CX-5 and it works great. We have been putting our bags and things in the trunk of the car and sleeping in the tent.

We did have an issue getting water in the tent through the part that goes over the car, but we just zipped up the back door next time it rained and were completely dry. Highly recommend this tent! Easy to set up and take down too.

The tent is great and really spacious. I was actually not expecting it to be this big. It’s easy to install, took us around 10min (2 persons) the first time and less than 10 the second. The tent seals well with the car (Honda CRV 2018) but there the wires were not long enough to attach at the front of the car.

I ended up attaching the tent to the wipers at the front and the wheels at the back and it worked well. The only problem I can see is the quality of the zip, I feel it could break fast as it’s really hard to open/close.

I’m also not too sure the tent would work well in a really rainy weather.

Fits a Tesla Model 3. Quality heavy material. Can stand up inside the tent. The seal to the trunk has some gaps but I think you can fill it with towels. It takes two people to install the tent. I like the two doors and of course the trunk entrance.

I was able to roll back up the tent and put it back in the tent bag. Tent is heavy. I usually backpack or car camp, so this tent attached to my Tesla is luxury camping.

I’ve had an opportunity to use this tent twice at this point, once with the Prius hooked in and once as a free standing tent without the car attachment sleeve. I’m really happy with this product. For me it worked just fine.

The fly offered a bit of shading and extra warmth for some cold nights of camping. The many options for entry and ventilation made the tent breath nicely with no condensation problems. Standing up in a tent was a priority because we need the privacy for clothes changing.

We have not been on our summer camping trip yet but I put this tent up easily at home after unpacking and reading instructions. I am a 59 yr. old woman so two people would be able to put up this tent in less than 20 minutes.

Nice handled storage bag with directions attached to the bag, separate bags for poles and stakes. There are several car tents available but this one is the best-the car sleeve part is completely removeable if you can’t or don’t want to use you vehicle-very versatile.

First I was surprised that the ‘used’ product arrived more like ‘new’. It was in the original packaging and if it was ever opened it certainly was never setup. Speaking of setup. it was a little confusing until I found how it slips over the open tailgate door.

From there it went quick and easy. I expect the next Setup time to take about 10 minutes total. I bought it as an emergency overnighter for trips that are just a little too long to do in a day. It’s in the back with an inflatable full size mattress that fits perfectly in the back of the Sequoia with the two back seat removed.

This shelter allowed us to make a 2006 Element into a fun van(ish) camper for an extended road trip last summer. Extra ventilation it affords is great and it creates a much less claustrophobic interior space.

Easy to set up but do a trial run at home because attachments are generic not vehicle specific. Good rain protection and handled wind well. Did a great job of keeping out droves of mosquitoes in northern Newfoundland.

I mean HORDES! Complaint about the cheap, long pole to create the arch. Broke it second day out by forcing bend a little too much. duct taped it and survived. On way home had a custom MUCH improved aluminum pole made at MEC.

For the price this item did the trick!.

My husband and I used this tent on our 2020 Hyundai Tucson and it worked perfectly. Great fit, didn’t let in any bugs or water (and it rained all night long). It was simple to set up & made it a lot nicer to sleep in the car by giving us some extra space so we didn’t feel too cramped.

Would highly recommend!.

Used this while camping for three nights in October BC weather. Tent held up well, kept warm and dry (little condensation but thats expected). Little tight for room as there were 2 of us and a medium size dog who slept between my legs.

My advice is shop around for a good mattress that fits well in between your trucks wheel wells for extra comfort, i might buy a second mattress to put under my existing one for more comfort. Set up wasn’t that bad either, the instructions were very helpful.

I bought the one with the awning which was nice to have to stay dry prior to going into the tent.

I searched for a fair price on a Napier truck tent for several weeks. I typed in “used” ans scored this from a dude in Georgia,who only used it ONCE,and then sold his avalanche. I got this for less than half!! I’ve been assembling by camping equipment, since then and I’m just one or two items from putting all the pieces together.

If you’re a single camper (with a dog) like me,and you just wanna get a quick getaway weekend,under your belt, then this is the ABSOLUTE best way to go. (Hint) Pre assemble your tent in the driveway.

Put your bedding and gear INSIDE the tent. Drop the tent,put your tonneau cover back on. This will help speed up your setup when you get to camp. You’re Welcome, L. C.

We purchased the tent for our Avalanche. It fits it perfectly. Could be just a tad less tight, but we are really happy with it. If you have an Avalanche the tailored one is amazing because the area from the bed to the cab unzips for full use of the truck.

Its awesome! The first time setting up takes some figuring out. But the second time will be a breeze. I took it down by myself. It was really easy and stores well. Bonus, it lines the entire inside of the bed.

We camped using this tent the other weekend. It was awesome. The fact that you can open up the back of the tent and remove the back window on the Avalanche allows you to utilize the entire pickup. I would recommend setting it up ahead of time to know how to get the tent up.

First time it would take probably about an hour. Once you know the steps it takes about 10 or 12 minutes. My kids loved it.

I am not going to go over all the benefits of being in the truck bed over the ground. There are lots of reviews on that. My experience camping in the Napier Backroadz tent. Build quality is fantastic.

Our latest camping trip with it was during tropical storm Cindy. Boy did it rain. But inside the tent. PERFECTLY DRY. The campground was flooded but we were dry. That speaks volumes to me. It did not waiver in the rain or wind.

It was strong. The only downside I can see with the tent is the way the door opens. It opens down instead of to the side. So you have to climb over the door mesh to get in. I can just see something getting snagged on the door and ripping the mesh.

That did not happen but I could see a potential there. Don’t let that discourage you from this tent. It goes up quick and is good quality. Not like one of those Wal-Mart brands. It is worth the money.

Oh and it fit my 1997 Ford F-150 perfectly.

This is a wonderful product. I love tenting but have a phobia about sleeping on the ground. This tent was so easy and quick to put up. We put it together on the ground and then easily lifted it onto our truck bed.

We also lifted it off and left it assembled when we took our truck the next day and then easily lifted it back on at night. It was perfect!.

Just spent the weekend with this tent. The product is as stated,the quality is good it does what it should do. This trip we received rain for the first time in weeks and did it rain, solid downpour overnight and the tent remained dry, full points there.

I give 4/5 because of personal things like the design of the back door which allows rain in when entering and exiting. The fit was good overall and the design good. Zippers are OK but because of the rear door design they receive a bit of strain and could stand to be sturdier as well the poles are a bit undersized.

Would be nice to have some color selection to better match the vehicle. Can”t stress enough the advantage of being up off the ground in heavy rain situations. The full floor adds extra protection and in general the tent was roomy for two.

We took the Rightline truck bed tent with us on our cross- country honeymoon trip from Nebraska to Maine, and slept in it every other night. It’s actually pretty comfortable sleeping in the bed of a truck with a foam pad below (not included), and feels more safe and secure than a ground tent.

Park the truck anywhere within reason, and sleep for the night. It’s spacious and private enough to change clothes in. It went up in less than 5 minutes with one of us doing each side. The tent fit our ’14 Silverado (just like the one in the pic.

– same color, too) perfectly. It won’t scratch the paint. It comes with a little storage bag, and fits under the back seat. It’s made of durable but lightweight fabric, and is stylish and functional.

It comes with a rain hood. There are a couple of pockets on each side of the interior to store your cell phone, etc. in. We’ve used it more than 10 times now, and it’s still in new condition. The one feature I would add (that could likely affect other areas of the design, though) would be a pass- through from the tent front into the cab of the truck (provided it has a sliding rear window, of course).

That way, you could run cables for charging devices, listen to the radio, and even possibly use the vehicle’s heating/ cooling system for the tent. This wasdefinitely a good buy at the discounted price I paid, and I’d unhesitatingly recommend as sleeping quarters for anyone who wants to be able to just get in their truck and go.

I really love the concept of the Backroads Shelter and would like to have given it 5 stars. My concern with the design is the fear of tearing the fabric when opening/closing our sliding side door of a Sprinter van.

Perhaps it works better if a roof rack is used to hold the shelter in place. Or maybe I’m using it wrong. Anyway, to open the door, an object was needed to hold up the side of the fabric so that the door had clearance and wouldn’t catch or scrape the fabric.

I’m going to toy around with it, perhaps try a swim noodle on the roof to given it height. Tried it on the back of the van and opening the doors caused the same problem of rubbing against the material.

Might need tennis balls on the corners of the doors. Everything else about it is wonderful, we will work with it to get it right for our needs. Thank you!.

This thing is great! The only thing it needs are grommets on the vehicle end. For my trailer I have to use suction cups to mount it so grommets would be better to keep it close as possible to trailer.

The attached mounting straps work but they let it flop around in the wind a bit. I’m considering getting an awning rail with sliding eyebolts to attach too. Not sure I trust the suction cups to hold for very long.

I’m testing them now,so we’ll see. Also,it would be great to be able to put adjustable poles there rather than having to attach to a vehicle. So basically grommets in all four corners would create other configuration options.

Also, I added the poles to the end with the door for better air flow, nice to feel the breeze. I took some pictures but have no way to attach them, oh well.

Sometimes I just need a little shade during the day. The two main poles make it easy to set up and the third pole is used to create a dome. I was able to set it up myself. To attach it to the roof, I used a folding stool because I’m short.

This is so much easier to set up than the tarp systems which usually require two people. The longer sides are nice to stay out of the elements or to use as a tent. I laid out an REI tent footprint to create a tent with a slightly open bottom.

This set up with a bug net, created a great glamping tent in the misty fog.

I am really happy with the extension. Super easy setup. Held a queen-size air mattress with lots of room to spare. Negative is this really is just a screen tent with a rain fly, so price is a little high, but still worth it.

There are no coverings on the windows, must use the fly if you want privacy. The tent stayed totally dry through a thunderstorm, but it did collect water in the connecting tube underneath the bumper.

Held several camp chairs and a table, great for waiting out the rain.

This worked great. It attaches to the truck tent very nicely. VERY easy set up. We enjoyed having the additional interior space both for the kids to sleep in and to keep various camp items in with us as well.

The windows DO NOT have covers. The rain fly must be in place to provide privacy and any light restriction. If the Link tent were to be used without the truck tent there would be no cover for the back window.

All in All this worked well for our family!.

This is a great space so you’re not stuck in the truck bed when it rains. Only reason I gave it 4 stars on appearance is because I just dont like the giant NAPIER logo on the sides. But. Whatever. Great tent, dog loved it.

And as always the service at autoanything is just amazing. Seriously, they always seem to make everything happen for you.

I’m using this tent with a 2010 Subaru Forester, and it fits great. Some small gaps between the ‘boot’ material and the surface of the car, but by design it’s just not going to have a 100% seal there.

The ‘boot’ features a stretchy elastic part that encloses the rear of the vehicle, with a second ‘extra’ flap of material that lays just inside the stretchy part to help keep out bugs and rain. I’ve never had issues with bugs getting in, even having a light on inside the tent all evening.

I’ve used this for a little over a year now and it has never once rained (I live in West Texas), so I can’t speak to its ability to keep water out, but I *can* speak to its ability to withstand heavy winds, and it does that very well.

I typically only stake it out (and secure the straps to my car) and don’t use guy lines, and it’s been fine through plenty of high plains windy nights. Adding guy lines would certainly make it even more solid.

The zippers on the windows and doors work well and I’ve had no issues with them snagging or breaking. I currently put my portable toilet in the screen room. It’s plenty private, and this way I don’t have to leave my dogs to walk to the campground facilities.

I love the screen room feature for this reason. The height of this tent makes it feel very spacious. I love the skylights, and how much air flow you can get inside. I’m a woman, and I can put up this tent by myself in about 5 minutes.

I ditched the carry bag a long time ago, only because I needed to fit this tent in my cargo box on top of my car and the only way to do that was to take everything out of the bag and place items individually in the cargo box.

This works great for my needs. I would like to get a hard-wall camper someday, but honestly this thing is pretty dang nice for a tent. I needed something affordable that would be more comfortable after adding a second dog to my pack during the pandemic, and this fits the bill.

I love that I can utilize the back of my car as well as this tent– I currently have a mattress in the back of my car and use the tent area as ‘living space. ‘ I’m thrilled with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who can’t quite afford a camper but would like a bit more comfort than a regular tent.

Did a lot of SUV tent research. Found a few much cheaper tents but none appeared to be able to accommodate large/full-sized SUV’s like this tent. I’ve got a Suburban and it was so nice and cozy having the rear connected.

Plus the side screen porch along with the extra rain cover added extra insulation from the late evening/early morning chill. The overall construction of the tent (material, sewing, poles, straps, clips, stakes, etc) are legit.

Only time will tell if everything holds up to justify the price tag (which is definitely not cheap). But after one 3-day camping trip (with a 7 month ago btw) I’m very impressed and pleased with the product.

Its a great tent – we love the fact it can attach to the SUV easily but yet stand on its on, if we need to take the vehicle out and about. Its easy to assemble and the height is GREAT – very spacious.

We loved the big screen windows and the added flaps for them if needed for privacy. Also the roof screens that you can see out above if you don’t have the rain fly attached. The added shade in the front also helped in providing reprieve from the hot sun.

It was comfortable inside the tent and didn’t feel too hot from the outside heat. The whole unit bagged up is about 40lbs so pretty dense but holds a big tent. Otherwise the whole tent itself is lightweight once assembled.

Very happy with the Napier 82000 – it will be put to good use in the coming years!!!.

The weather was sunny when we went camping with this new SUVtent. The tent is easy to setup and attach to a Subaru Outback. Its a 2 person job. The poles are strong and the tent sturdy when fully assembled.

The tent stakes are not good and you should purchase another type that will hold the position in the ground. The ones supplied with the tent are ¼” round galvanized steel pegs with a smooth surface. They turn (rotate) when pulled and will let the lanyards slip off the hook.

I can highly recommend this SUVtent but the problem with the stakes prevents me from giving it an all star recommendation.

I have just spent five days traveling and camping using this tent. Two days were very warm and three were very rainy and windy. There definitely was a learning curve in terms of getting a good fit on my car (Hyundai Tucson) and putting it up.

It is easier to put up with two people, however, I will be using it mostly as a solo traveler. One I got it set up, it was perfect. I added some magnets along the inside to enable a better fit and an assistance against bugs getting in as recommended by another one of the reviews.

Provides great entry, added height in my lower vehicle and ventilation when sleeping in your car. It performed better then expected in the rain and I stayed dry. It stood up to the water front wind. I would purchase it again and recommend this product.

I am looking forward to more adventures.

I bought this over a year ago and finally was able to put it to the test. It worked flawlessly on my Subaru Outback. The only thing I would mention is that the instructions tell you to attach the top straps second but it’s easier to attach them first.

Otherwise the tent keeps slipping off the hatch. Also, the shape of the Outback puts a lot of stress on 2 points inside the tent so I recommend placing something spongy at those spots. I used to small kitchen sponges.

This kept me dry even on a very rainy night.

I have only installed the tent once and have not had any other experience with it so my comments can only be on the quality of fabrication and ease of use. It appears to be adequate for the intended purpose, although fitting it to my vehicle will require a few minor modifications.

(These things I knew before purchase. ) I’m installing it on a Scion Xb and expect to use it in an area that has an extreme amount of flying insects, ticks, deer flies etc. and considerable rainfall.

I have designed many mobile fabric structures over the past 65 years and feel like I received my monies-worth, however only time and use will tell.

This rating is given by a novice tenter. Pros: The tent is lightweight and the carrier is made out of the same material as the tent. When you re-package it to fit back into the carrier I rolled over it with my body to squeeze the air out of it.

I’m sure this is common with any tent. This particular tent is 9’X9′ but it takes up more space by the time you set the stakes at each corner. We stayed adjacent to our friends’ camper so we weren’t able to attach the tent to our SUV due to the limited space we had but the tent was easy to set up without using the SUV side.

We didn’t have any substancial amount of rain (sprinkles only) so I can’t comment on how well it will hold up in a true rain. Cons: This is the design flaw. It was very disappointing the two windows not part of the SUV and door openings didn’t have an inner plastic to zip closed to help keep some of the colder night temps from coming in the tent.

I found that very odd and disappointing because it seems it would be standard to have that. This is why I only rated the tent with a 3. Other than that the tent held up to my expectations. Unfortunately, I would not buy it again or recommend to a friend since it did not have windows that could zippered to close.

I set this tent up in the yard to test set up. Because of the 3 criss cross shock pole design, your friend will come in pretty handy, as the bowing poles set the tension to keep it up and tight. The side access sleeve port to your vehicle on the right hand side is impressively large, plus it will separately close off if you want to drive away, the tent will remain.

I will stretch this sleeve side open over two passenger side suicide doors on my 2003 Silverado and it fits fine. I recommend you do a test set up and don’t wait until you are “out there” to learn. Everything comes in a carrying bag for each component and all fits into one main bag with handles.

Don’t misplace your setup directions. You’ll do fine on this. It’s pretty big with a 100 square footprint and over 7 1/2 feet high inside. Really big screened windows and seems well stitched everywhere.

The floor is large enough to host a card table and 4 chairs easily. It has a separate rain cover, removable when dry weather permits.

Set it up in garage so unsure about water proof but appears to be ok. Bigger than we thought it would be. Fairly fast to set up. Doesnt have solid panels on 2 sides. Net only so u have to put the rainfly on.

Would have liked to have option to skip that but it doesnt take long. The vehicle attachment is really easy at least with our Jeep trailhawk. Just clipped around the cargo bars on top. Looked like it had a lot of options.

Not sure how would handle in windy conditions. We wanted to leave our 2 bikes on the back of the Jeep and it is big enough to do that and still put a queen air bed in. Of course u cant open the back but the bikes r still on the Jeep and out of slight.

This is perfect for a small canopy for tail gating or dog shows. It’s very well designed to adapt to any mini van or suv. The sand bags to hold the legs in place worked very well in wind.

No need for roof top tent! For small money you get same comfort and less gas consumption. I’ve been using this for more than a year and very satisfied. Protects from rain and wind too. Adds about 15 cm to the sleeping length.

I might give this a fifth star once I actually get it into a true camping environment, but it did at least ace the backyard test. I won’t go so far as to say it was easy to erect, but I’m a 70-year old woman with only a passing acquaintance with tents and I had it up in about 90 minutes (some of them more frustrating than others).

Attaching it to the back of the car (a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek) was the easiest part. The tent is big — 8’x8′ — and tall enough to stand up in (a great feature) so the tent poles are very long and thus unwieldy — it took forever to get them threaded through the mesh sleeves because they kept catching on the mesh, then coming apart when I tried to work them free inside the sleeve.

Once that was accomplished, I had to brace each of the far ends of the poles against a patio rock in order to get the necessary bow. But this process would be a LOT easier with a second person. From thereon in, it was quick.

I didn’t really expect an airtight fit with the hatchback but it was surprisingly close. Some strong magnets closed up any gaps. Reviewers elsewhere have complained about cheap zippers that break immediately upon set up but my thought is that is the tent needs to have a little give when it’s put up — if the material is stretched too tight, yes, the zippers will be forced and probably will break.

So far, the only reviewer complaint I agree with is that the door zipper does not run along the bottom of the door, only along the sides and top. This means that access is through an inconvenient V-shape at the side of the door (unless you unzip the entire door every time you enter and leave).

But otherwise it seems sturdy and well made, is very roomy, has good windows and air flow, and sleeping on an air mattress in the car is going to be a game-changer over sleeping on the ground.

I plan to use it with my SUV. The 8 x 8 floor area is roomy, and then there is the room in the back of my SUV. Putting it up was pretty straightforward – not difficult. I did watch the helpful assembly video a couple time first tho and recommend that.

The only slow down was sorting out and attaching all the straps that extend from the tent to the vehicle to attach it to the SUV- a bit confusing. I did get them all attached and secure though. But that will probably come easier with using it a few times.

The quality of the materials and workmanship is good. I am a 70 year old, 5′ 3″ woman, and can assemble this myself. That it can also be a stand-alone tent is a bonus.

This is a very good quality tent. Well made of good quality materials and workmanship. A bit complicated to set up the first time because it is so versatile and will fit a variety of hatchback and barn door SUVs.

This is a large very spacious tent with great headroom. I use it with a Dodge grand caravan and it’s perfect.

Watch some YouTube videos first- that’s my first recommendation. I’d done that, put it up once that season and then tried to use the instructions included the next season (because I’d forgotten how to assemble it from the year before.

yes, my brain is getting older) and I was so frustrated I just about threw in the towel. I remembered that I had such an easier time putting it together on the ground and then putting it in the box and strapping it down.

I won’t make that mistake twice. Seriously, there are better ways to install it rather than the instructions given- do yourself a favour and spend a few minutes exploring some alternative installs. This tent is very roomy and well vented.

I’m short but a very tall person would be able to stand up in it comfortably. There are a lot of neat features and overall, it does what I need it to do- shelter me and keep me up off of the ground. I haven’t used this in the rain yet, so I have yet to experience the performance in less than stellar weather but it was really windy the one night I had it up and it was fine.

I used a fold-up step stool to get in and out of the truck I am unable to use the step features on my bumper and it works well. All the zippers work fine so far but they seem flimsy- I’m expecting that they won’t last.

I’m pretty happy with my tent. The set up is a sore point, so it loses some merit on the scoring but as I said and many before me, watch how some other clever humans figured out a solution, so follow their lead.

The quality is okay, as I mentioned the zippers seem flimsy but I just go gentle with them. It is pretty cool to back up to lakeside and wake up to that view in the morning though. That makes it worth it.

This is the best tent purchase have Ever made. I bought the original blue one back in 2004. Used is every year in the summer and fall for camping. 12 times a year probably. No issues at all but as with anything over time things do wear out.

Only reason having to purchase a new one today (2/25/22) is because my dog tied to jump into the tent while doors were zipped shut. dog trashed the tent. On cold nights used the propane Buddy Heater in the tent.

it’s really a perfect setup. Being off the ground makes a huge difference. Sure hope the tents are still as good as my 2004 model I have Sportz Truck Tent II. Love this tent!.

So far so good. One of the elastic broke in a pole so I bought a repair kit and Best Buy refunded the cost of the kit with no lost camping time. Pole colours and “pipping” were better on video than actual.

Like the bright colours better for first time up. By second time down to about 25 minutes with only one person doing it. Appears to have a lot of room and fits my F150 well. Quality of zippers will take some time to answer.

With the addition of 2 8 x 10 tarps was able to enclose the outside 5 x 5 Flap so I can stand strait or put a portable toilet there if I want. I am 6 foot 2 and can stand up with a bent neck in the tent.

Other than the broken pole and question of quality of zipper would have gotten a 5. So far perfect for my needs!.

I don’t know if the one I have is defective but in my 33 years, I have never had an issue like this with moisture. The outside is totally dry, but woke up to the inside soaking wet. I literally had drops of water on my face when I woke up.

I’ve had cheap tents that never even had that issue. I also expected better quality for the price. Thin and not well made. I gave it 2 stars because I do like the design. Just wish it was better quality and better insulated.

I will be returning this. DO NOT RECOMMEND!.

Tents great. Install was a little tough. ISSUE is they changed their brackets that secure the tent to the vehicle with out changing their website and with out telling us when purchased. The bracket advertised would have worked just fine but the new U brackets leave a massive gap between the rack and the bracket it self allowing the tent to slide around on top of the truck.

We sent them photos and explained the issue. After confirming it wouldn’t work the company offered to charge 50$ to send us the old CORRECT SET UP. terrible customer service telling us it’s our responsibility to replace if it does not fit.

Big let down for so much money. Later after much conversation. They sent it at no cost. But still be aware you will be getting a u bracket not a flat one.

After over a year of research and debate, I finally decided on the Tuff Stuff Ranger. The included annex, boot bag, gear hammock, and pre order discount offered by OffRoadTents was too much value to pass up.

Assembly, watch the tuff stuff video on unpacking, assembly, and mounting. The video is missing the segment on how to bolt the aluminum rails to the bottom of the tent, however, youtube videos from other manufactures show how to complete this step with one person.

I mounted my tent at the height of my trucks bed rails. It is possible to lift it up there by yourself through creative thinking, but two people would have made it much easier. I do wish the mounting bolts were just a little bit longer,.

my bars are 15/8″ Unistrut and the bolts were just barely long enough, I’d prefer about 5mm longer. First setup and use. The ladder is designed for a true roof top set up. The ladder only locks into one position and that is fully extended.

Fully extended at the bed height of my Chevy Colorado was not possible. I needed to drill two holes so the ladder would lock into the height I needed. At 360 pounds I was nervous to climb in at first.

This thing is rock solid!!! Ventilation is good, even though at bed height you lose the use of the window near the cab. Rode out a thunder storm my first night out high and dry with my 6 month old Lab puppy.

We both slept soundly. Very happy with my purchase so far! Next we’ll see how long it holds up.

Great rooftop tent, but plan on two people to install and remove. Directions are vague and video is missing sections, but we figured it out just fine. May need to adjust the ladder with a few drilled holes.

Spent the day on forest service roads and it fit securely on my 4Runner. Camped remotely in Minnesota 20 degree F weather. Through rain and heavy frost we were level, dry, clean and warm. Everything we expected.

Next, we are headed to the beaches on the Gulf of Mexico. Love the tent. (Get the Annex and Awning too. Great buy!).
