The Tough Tesla Lighter 2. 0 – Outdoor Waterproof Dual Arc Plasma Lighter initial charge was fairly fast and each time I use the lighter, I get a light the first time. The case is easy to open/close and the lanyard is a nice touch with the built in whistle for an around the neck carry.

Can be easily stowed in a pack somewhere but make sure you secure it so your friends don’t walk off with it. Because of the arc technology, this lights quickly so be prepared around easily lighted tinders.

When lighting go at the power button from the side of the lighter (like traditional lighters). REASON: the button to start the lighter is located just over the push release button for the cover. I found a few times that I was not paying attention and put a bit more of my finger on the button than anticipated and the tip of my finger was scarily close to the arc.

If I had winter gloves on while doing this, that might be an issue. Tight space lighting is an issue due to the cover so take that into consideration when using, but it lights a LOT faster than a normal flame.

Over all, this is gonna be my go to lighter and part of my bugout bags.

So, the lighter arrived the day after I left for vacation so it was sitting around for a while. Opened it up, checked it out and accidentally left it outside. Was sitting inside doing stuff and a HUGE thunderstorm started: wind, driving rain and occasionally, it looked like midday outside because of the lightning, Eventually, the power went out: it’s ~23.

00, no lights, no nothing. Then, I remembered the lighter. Reached outside, grabbed it and clicked the button for the light: lit up my entire deck. I was impressed. Then I figured: this thing’s on its original charge – who knows how long it’s going to last? Found a candle, popped the lid and pressed the button – the little arcs lit the candle almost immediately.

This is after it had been rained on for a long time and sitting in a puddle for part of that. I have other similar light/lighter combination tools, but the ergonomics on this one are, to me, way better.

The Hammer and Axe rechargeable flameless lighter is excellent. This was my first time using a lighter of this caliber as I am use to the usual types that are always out on the market. It came in handy for so many occasions, without failing like traditional lighters will do sometimes.

The best part of this lighter for me, is on those windy days when i am outside grilling. Most traditional lighters would leave you frustrated because the lighter will not light in windy conditions. Not the case with Hammer and Axe rechargeable lighter, I get results every time with no issues.

I love the fact that I do not have to use a butane refill to keep the lighter going. It is amazing to be able to just plug it in and charge it up. The design is perfect allowing me to be able to bend and set it up however I need to so that I can light up quickly.

Too many great things to list about this lighter, but one thing is that it will not disappoint me.

I am making a survival kit with everything going on in the world. I needed lighters, matches etc. I tried the Rechargeable Flameless lighter. Im amazed at how quickly this lighter catches a flame. I tested a piece of paper and it caught fire immediately.

This is an awesome lighter to jave. Its well made. Safe to use for camping and outdoor activities. This saves alot of time with lighting matches and running out of lighter butane. Its definitely something every household should have around.

Got the lighter about 4 days ago. Used it to light candles. Works amazing. The flexible neck helps when the wick is down low. Also used it to start a few camp fires. Head fits great in the small holes in my metal fire pit.

Effortlessly lit the paper to get the fire rolling! Even in pretty strong winds, it lit the fire with no issues. I’m definitely going to grab a few extras. Would be an amazing camp lighter.

I like this a lot, because with other torch lighters, it’s possible that you accidently depress the button (ie in your pocket) and release gas, if not ignite the lighter. Some of my torch lighter buttons seem to press too easily and release butane.

Since the zippo torch is secured underneath the traditional zippo enclosure/lid there’s absolutely no way for it to do that. Although I don’t know that the zippo torch insert vents heat out the sides well like my Xikar lighters.

Will have to see. I have used standard butane from Zippo and other brands bought at convenience stores, and it does clog the torch over time. It stands to reason that a more pure butane (ie sold at cigar store) would perform better.

I clean my torch heads with a swab and alcohol. Alternatively you can depress the butane right into the torch heads, and or use a can of compressed air (non flammable type), or all three methods, and that will usually clear any debris/carbon build up.

If it looks sooty, clean it. For safety sake, you want to empty the butane that’s in the lighter first, and let the torch heads cool before doing any maintenance.

Well for one. it is definitely NOT wind proof! As for the amount of lights before recharging. I was able to light 60 cigarettes before it went dead after a complete charge. Is it worth buying? I’d say no.

a bic lighter will light faster and more efficient and will last close to a carton of cigarettes if not more. I would bet the battery fails well before the claimed 600 charges. I will repost when this happens.

Amazing little sparker lighter. Lightes paper instantly. Would make a great survival tool for fires, after all not staying warm is the biggest killer in a survival situation. Fits in your pocket well, a bit smaller than a Zippo lighter.

This is such an amazing tool for starting fires I have ordered them for some of my friends. I love the way that it “buzzes” when the plasma arc is activated. I also love the way that when paired with a solar powered power source, it can be recharged making it a great survival tool as well.

I bought one of these for my son’s birthday and got one for myself as well. Both of us were shocked (in a nice way) to see how it worked. It is amazing and definitely makes a great gift. I was wondering if I could carry it on a plane.

So I checked and to my surprise, it is not allowed either in the carry on or checked baggage! So, you can transport an assault rifle as check in but you can’t put a plasma lighter in??? I’m going to check deeper on this because it is really strange.

Very disappointed with this product. At $30, it was the most expensive lighter I ever bought and I gave it as a gift. They took it to use on a camping trip and I found it a few months later in the garbage can.

Charged it up to use myself and immediately after turning it on, it lit one time and that was it. It was dead after one attempt. What is this lighter good for? If you dont have an outlet with you- you are just out of luck.

Worst product ever! Buy a whole case of bics instead for the same price.

Despite reviews that it doesn’t hold a charge and only last a few lights I bought this item. Here’s the deal, it does hold a charge, but a few tips. don’t over charge it! I use a Droid turbo charger for it, it charges from empty to full in about 10mins, pay attention, when the charger blue light stops blinking and goes solid disconnect it fast.

There’s an on and off switch and if you don’t turn it off after every light yes the charge won’t last long but duh that’s expected. So a lot of negative reviews on this device pretty much comes from people that don’t know how to maintain a battery.

If you turn off after every light it will last you over a day or two or more for sure and for 10mins of charge that’s pretty good. Also make sure you drain the battery all the way before your next charge.

It’s a cool lighter and works perfect no complaints at all. One strange thing no one seems to have mentioned is that it makes high pitch noise when you light it. Like something only a dog would hear or me apparently lol lastly keep it under the 8second time frame for lights, I usually do 3-5 second pulses.

Well after seeing the Atomic Lighter on TV, I had to try one. Well after it arrived fast & I charged it per instructions. I got about 30 lights & it needed a re charge. OK, Its new & I figured it will take a good charge after a few uses.

Well the best this lighter can do is between 50 – 60 lights & it needs re charged. YES I counted! I had to buy a USB AC adaptor to charged it in a wall socket (Yes was shown on TV, but NOT included) & immediately removed it from charge upon it completing the charge cycle.

Well that’s a bit short of the 100s of lights they say this lighter will provide. As another said: You have to turn it off in between uses, well I did that & still only got 60ish lights until it needed recharged, so much for that method! Its a nice lighter, well made, a bit heavier that standard lighters of this size, but its more of a novelty item than a total replacement for fuel filled lighters.

I had never heard of an Arc Lighter. It is so cool. It fits perfectly in any pocket. The feel of it allows for an easy grip without worrying it will slip from your hands. It isn’t too heavy. I bought one black, and one orange.

I let my son pick his color, he selected the orange one bcuz he’s a commercial plumber and he’d spot it better if he put it down and walked away from it. Also orange is good for camping too, easier to find.

It was one of his birthday gifts. He was so happy to get it. He said “I’ve been wanting one of these”. I was glad to hear that because my son researches every product he purchases and that comment meant that I had made the right choice.

I love that it has 300 uses (will have to keep track to see if that is accurate) and is rechargeable. It’s a USB so I can practically charge it anywhere and I don’t need to purchase another cable to make it compatible.

It also comes with a lanyard, which will come in handy during camping season (also in hunting season). All in all I see no negative sides to this lighter. Get one now (or two). I kept the black one, but I might order the orange too.

I have purchased two Stealth Angel Arc Lighters. The first was in black and I bought a second one in orange for two reasons. First I liked the way the first one worked. Second, I have two emergency kits.

Both kits have charging units that can be recharged via an electrical connection, or by using the four, fold-out solar panels built into them. One of those charging units was all black. The other has an orange panel, and I wanted the Arc Lighters to match the charging units so it would be easy to know which kit they came from, and to keep in mind which had been used most recently and might require charging.

What an amazing little piece of gear! Add the little Stealth Angel solar charger to your bag and NEVER have to rely on a disposable or fuel lighter again Seriously, I am 65 years old and unless I lost it, I have a lighter that will last the rest of my lifetime! As a former smoker, a Bic lighter on a cold windy day was a pain to use.

And that’s understated. This little lighter worked so well the first time I used it that I wasn’t sure if it was working after decades of Bics and Zippos where you had to turn a striker and make a spark to ignite the fuel.

Boom, press the tiny button on the side and a hot blue plasma ‘flame’ is there effortlessly This little lighter is a big winner!.

This lighter delivers on everything advertised. The USB recharge socket is well secured. The active surface is also well protected. The tinder storage compartment is a wonderful idea. The option to remove the storage compartment altogether for a more compact unit is a nice ooption.

The reason I’m a bit disappointed in my purchase is that the lid must be completely unscrewed and removed to use. If using in the dark or in challenging situations there’s great potential to drop the loose lid and lose it.

This seems a very inportant oversight on the designers’ part.

I purchased this Cross-fire Plasma Lighter for my emergency grab bag. I have not try starting a fire with it yet, but I am sure that I could easily start one. Not as light as flint and steel. Charge it up and push the button.

The lighter produces two cross-fire arcs that could light anything. The handy storage can be used with the lighter to store Insta-fire fire starter. Or use the lighter without the storage. Construction is very durable.

My main concern with plasma arc lighters was the risk of turning on accidentally while in storage and staring a fire. What sold me on this model was the dual precautions of having both a screw-on cover cap over the arc points, and the need to press the start button 3 times before it will light.

I also like the storage compartment for tinder. Have only used it once, but it seems very rugged and well made. USB connector is slightly crooked out of the unit, but it did not affect it charging. Can’t give it a 5 until I’ve used it more.

I don’t smoke so I’ve never used lighters for that purpose, but I’ve always wanted a good lighter for lighting the fireplace in the winter and fall, lighting campfires when out camping, and for lighting candles.

This Electric Lighter is the lighter I’ve been waiting for all my life. I know that sounds melodramatic, but it’s true. This lighter is very safe because it doesn’t have flammable fuel inside, so it doesn’t stand a chance of exploding if accidentally heated or dropped on a hard surface.

I’ve seen butane lighters explode a bit when dropped. This electric lighter lights things instantly and safely. You can hold the button down for a sustained time of lighting something without the danger of overheating the lighter and causing yourself to get burned.

This is true for two reasons; the lighting tip is about five inches from your fingers and there is no fuel in the lighter to overheat and cause a big flame-up and small explosion. The tip is so far from the body of the lighter that there is no danger at all of you getting burned or your clothes catching on fire.

You can operate this electric lighter with gloves on because of this fact and because in order to activate the lighter you simply press a button. No flint wheel right next to a flame. It is a spark tip that is inches from your fingers.

There is virtually no way you can get burned by this lighter. It is extremely safe, especially when compared to conventional lighters. When not in use and if you then want to put it in your purse or pocket, simply slide the safety switch and the lighting button cannot be pressed.

So you don’t have to worry about the chance of accidentally lighting the inside of your pocket or purse or anywhere else you store the lighter. This also makes it relatively child-proof with small children.

It’s just an all-around safe lighter. I’m very impressed with the amount of thought that went into the design of this lighter. It comes with its own charger and charges up quickly. It fits any Android standard charger end so you can use your phone charger to recharge it.

I recommend this lighter to anyone, smoker or nonsmoker.

The lighter works. It is a bit slower than butane in lighting lighting fluid on charcoal. Basically it must be touching the coals for 5+ seconds to ignite where a decent butane lighter takes a second.

But, as described, the wind is NOT an issue,,, it doesn’t blow out. Also, it is great for candles with wicks,,, better than butane. I haven’t had it long enough to recharge it or guess as to whether it will last.

Works as stated. Charges quickly and lights instantly. The arc is quite narrow so it works best on paper or very small sticks, 1/8 in or narrower. Ignited both the small sticks and paper quickly. Worked well in light wind but don’t know how it would react to strong wind.

Hitting the wood with the arc caused it to go out but it lit back up instantly with a push of the button. A safety switch prevents accidental lighting. Seems like a good tool but haven’t tried it at a campsite.

Oh no. It doesn’t use conventional fuels, like butane, propane or fossil fuels. It uses an internal battery to create a plasma arc that will light nearly anything on fire. The plasma arc is beautiful.

You will want to touch it. DO NOT TOUCH THE PLASMA ARC!!! I am ABSOLUTELY SERIOUS about this. It is really hot and will hurt. None the less, this is a really awesome survival tool, great for camping or EDC (Every Day Carry) Kits.

Not waterproof as some youtube testers found. Not sure how long it charges or last but lights candles and cigs and tinder well. Fun toy, but I would be sure to keep 3-4 other fire sources in backpack/camping setup, matches, ferro rod, flint/steel, Bics/Zippos.

I would not rely entirely on this device.

No fuel, no problem. Winter is no longer an issue with my new lighter! Normally if I leave my lighter in the car overnight, the next morning it won’t work right away, but now with this bad boy, I have no issues with starting a fire.

I have 4 different models of single torch lighters from Xikar. The Tactical, the stratosphere II, the Flash and this tech single. The Tactical is excellent. The other three leave much to be desired. The Tech is the best of the other 3.

The biggest issue is that the adjustment valve even on low throws a huge amount of fire. It could be that it is not broken in yet. It is a reliable tool though, works every time and has a large clear tank so you can view how much fuel is left.

Huge fuel capacity that you can see the fill level. Strong double flame. A real “go-to” cigar lighter that is affordable considering the Xikar warranty that is one of the best in the business!

Great quality and a terrific warranty! A lifetime warranty what more could you ask for. The fact that they stand behind their products with a lifetime warranty really says something!

I like the recharge part but it’s little hard to slide open needs different type lid to slide open. Use it for hunting / in windy weather. But lights great after get slid open

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. Elegant and beautiful with a bit of nerd. Love this candle lighter. It is sleek and elegant in design and the lighter is not a flame but electric.

It’s very easy use. It is rechargeable and comes with a usb connection but you do need a usb plug adapter to charge it, it comes with the usb but no plug. But most people have at least one hanging around.

Definitely recommend.

This works awesome lighting candles. So far I’ve used on some 3-wick candles and single wick. Very cool product. Wish I would have known about these before I bought a bunch of cheap stick lighters.

These were given as gifts. Very well received. I kept one for myself. The charge last a very long time. Safer than matches.

I really like the rechargeable lighter so far. It came charged. I used it immediately. I like that you can recharge it and not buy batteries or butane refill or you have to just throw it away. That’s a waste.

Like all old kids I like to play with my new toy. Warning: DO NOT TOUCH THE SPARKS!!! Their bite is far worse than their bark. I even unscrewed all the pieces and put it together differently to have a bigger storage, just for fun.

I do wish they would have put small “O” Rings between the threaded pieces to make it water proof. I plan to go to the store and fix that. Great item. Dr. Mark.

I had bought another lighter from another company and it didn’t work. They sent a replacement and it didn’t work either. I love the color of the Modwix and it worked immediately. Will probably order a 2nd one.

I was so tired of always burning my fingers trying to light my candles, or try to find a cute one to display. The great thing is that these will never run out, eco friendly and are so aesthetic. Anyways, I’ve now ordered 5.
