20 Best Texas Bbq Rubs (2022 Updated)

Ordering and receiving items was good. Flavor of teaxs BBQ Rodeo Rub and Pig Rub had VERY Smoky flavor. Not needed when used as pre rub for meat that will be cooked in smoker.

I have been in competing in Pro BBQ for the past 8yrs and have cooked countless briskets, so I know a good brisket rub when I taste it. This rub is so well balanced with flavor while providing a great color that pro cooks look for.

The rub compliments the brisket while allowing the beef flavor to come through while adding those flavors we associate with beef such pepper, cumin, hickory flavor and touch of sweetness.

We purchased the Texas BBQ Rodeo Rub for our brisket and followed the recommended recipe. When we opened the jar the aroma was awesome. As was the pot pie.

I bought this a while back and have been using it on all beef so far. That’s about to change soon. I didn’t realize how good it was till I cooked it on a good ribeye last week, without adding extra salt & pepper like I did to the few roasts I cooked with it.

The roasts I put it on probably should have had more John Henry on them and zero of my own salt & pepper. I have another ribeye in the fridge with liberally applied John Henry’s. Next will be some chicken.

I KNOW this seasoning rub will go so good with chicken. Since my grill gave up the ghost, this rub has been a god send. I’m enjoying that smokey-sweet pecan flavor out of cast iron on the stove top in minutes.

Or sous vide roasts, seared in cast iron. So, so good. The flavor of this takes me back. There’s a flavor in there I remember from my childhood, so good. Thanks for great products ATBBQ.

Iv used this for a long time. This order was way over spiced. In the past its been great Something changed its never been this HOT. Im tossing it for something more milid like Im use to. Poor quality control.

My Son in law turned this on to me. Turns out to be my favorite dry rub. Great on pork, and chicken, ads a light BBQ sweetness. Will try it on beef next.

My wife really likes it on ribs. Slow smoked at 212 for 3 hours. Then remove and put in foil with more Sugar Daddy. Add honey and brown sugar. Wrap them up with apple juice. Back in the smoker for 1 1/2 hours.

Remove and enjoy.

This one is a game changer. My new favourite. You can throw on a thick layer and doesn’t have that over salted taste that some of the lower quality rubs have. The flavour of the bark blew me away. Only complaint is that we can’t get it in the larger quantities that are advertised on the sucklebuster website.

Best combo of sweet and heat, great set up with no binder needed, awesome bark and color. I literally won’t bother trying anything else, ever. 👍🏼

I found this rub around spring time & this was the absolute jackpot. This seasoning made burgers & steaks pop with flavor. For the love of every griller, please make 2021 a better year by bringing this back.

I tend to be a “homemade†seasoning type of guy but I decided to venture out and try some Meat Church rubs. This honey hog had a great flavor and it will definitely be apart of my Arsenal for here on out.

The subtle sweetness from the honey powders really complemented the coarse pepper within. Highly recommend.

Just made a delicious prime rib in the smoker with this rub and I have to say that it is so delicious! The large pepper flakes in the blend allow for better smoke adhesion. And the flavor is by far better than other rubs I have tried.

Next up. I’m going to make a texas style brisket with this!.

OMG this rub. It’s incredible – it is officially my favorite rub. The flavor profile is incredible; a little sweet, a little spicy and just has made everything I’ve put it on taste sooooo much better.

I use this on steak and brisket. I get rave reviews from the many people that attend my bbqs. I love the flavor profile on beef. I keep a good stock of this rub on hand at all times. There is nothing better and I have tried almost all of them.

Absolutely delicious! This rub is great on just about everything. Beef, chicken, pork, veggies. Hell, the other night I even put some in some white rice that I was cooking.

This has the right blend of seasonings and the perfect grind to create a great bark on my briskets. I’ve also used it on quality steaks, it doesn’t detract from the natural flavors of the beef.

This is good stuff! It really compliments any kind of meat, from beef, pork to chicken. It also works well with vegetables. Not salty, just full of flavor!

This is a fantastic BBQ rub. It has sweetness with a little bit of heat, a very nice balanced flavor. Amazing on ribs and chicken for smoking. It is best paired with a very light dusting of a salty compound applied first such as Killer Hogs AP Rub or Goya Adobo.

When the moisture starts to come up then apply a generous coating of The Rub. Sprits now and then while smoking with Coca Cola and be ready for absolute perfection. I have used this product a lot and was buying it from Malcolm Reeds site.

I was sceptical about the flavour these simple spices would bring out. I did Ribeyes 2” thick on the baby Webber q. I hit them with the AP seasoning 8 hours before I cooked them. Placed them back in the refrigerator until 1 hour before cooking time.

Awesome flavour! I also put AP seasoning on baked potatoes right on top of the sour cream and cheese. Kids loved them. I will always have this seasoning on hand from now on.

I could make my own but why when Meat Church does it for me. Pairs well with Honey Hog so try them both you won’t regret it. I was in academy this week promoting the heck ( church is still in lol) out of the VooDoo and talked several into buying it.

I felt that the rub had excellent flavor. The problem I had is this. I am older and spice and I are not friends. If I didn’t have that problem I would be totally on board. Because the basic flavor was so good, I felt it was only fair to give it what it deserved….

Use this mixed with the Black Dust Cowboy coffee rub spices for everything I BBQ. Typical of Savory Spice products this an incredible spice mix.

Good if you like hot stuff. tasted like peppers to me. Its a no for me because i can’t eat spicy stuff. If i would’ve known that I would’ve never bought it. I expected a little spice but it was overwhelming with spice.

I do more indoor BBQ than outdoor, and this stuff is the best! It is almost medium heat, but not overwhelming if you’re a tendermouth, with a nice balanced flavor. If you cut raw chicken into strips, and shake them/coat well with BBButtRub, slow bake, and you’ve got great buffalo fingers! I often finish them by baking for a few minutes on paper toweling, and it gets the excess grease out.

Next day, get ready for tasty chicken salad sammiches too. Now I made myself hungry.

No need to guess what seasoning to add to your fish,meat, or poultry. just use this one, and all the flavor you need is in there. Just adjust the amount to your taste, [some like heavier seasonings, and some prefer a milder flavor, you choose].

I have used the Butt Rub on salmon, chicken, and beef, and so far everyone said My cooking is so good. I found out about Butt Rub when I ate someone else’s fish, and it was just the best,,. well I had to find out what was used so my food could be as good.

I am so sorry I cannot get it at my neighborhood supermarkets, but glad I found it online. Bon Appe’tit.

I got the as a gift but now I buy it in bulk for ribs. It’s not overpowering sweet but brings a great flavor to ribs. Love it. Typically I use nearly two bottles for two racks of pork ribs, cover overnight then smoke.

Sugar is usually the first ingredient with a lot of rubs like this but this is white sugar. I was afraid to use too much for fear it would burn. Also, there’s very little paprika in this to give color.

My ribs didn’t have near the mahogany color I look for when I smoke. I’ll try this again and coat a little heavier next time and the make my final decision.

Cabela’s Sweet Rib Rub is the best Rib Rub I have ever had. I have tried other rib rubs and Cabela’s Sweet Rib Rub is so far much better.

I really like the taste but the bottle came with a solid mass inside it. Dug it out with a fork and sprinkled it on. Next time I used it, the contents were solid again.

I tried this on grilled chicken breasts, hamburger patties and pineapple slices. It was excellent.
