20 Best Th9 Farming Base (2022 Updated)

I bought 3 of these to raise my chicks this year. I would be happy with them until I checked on my chicks and they would be cracked, all the water having leaked out into the pine shavings. They would be great if they didn’t just break and leave the chicks with no water.

I have had several of these and they work well with the glass Mason jars. I set them on top of a 6×6 block of wood so they stay cleaner (the chicks don’t kick as much bedding into it that way). I set it in the corner of the cage/tote to stablilize it.

When they’re small, I add 2x chunks of lumber as steps in front of the 6×6, then as they grow, they don’t need the steps anymore. Just be sure when you’re screwing the base onto the jar that you don’t cross-thread it.

I’ll be picking up another one just to have an extra on hand. I love ’em!.

Probably would have gotten a hanging watetet-this one is nice because it fits with a small mouth mason jar but it’s gets dirty with chick crud pretty quickly.

I love these little feeders for my brooders. Easy to clean and there’s less stool in the feed than the long plastic feeders I have for chicks too.

It fit s my glass mason jars perfectly(The regular opening ones not wide mouth) I will be ordering another

I ordered two of these to get my fall planting started. I live in south Texas, so starting seeds can be tricky without something like this. It’s just too dry and hot. Anyway, the germination station is sturdier than those flimsy things home improvement stores sell.

I like that the lid has vents you can open or close. I don’t know if I will be using the heat pads because it is still 90 degrees out, but they are of a nice quality. This was my first time buying from Blain’s.

I am totally impressed. They shipped it very quickly and it got here in three days.

The mat works as expected. The cells for seed starting are much smaller than expected. Shipping was good package arrived quickly and undamaged.

Having just received and set up my station, I cannot yet say whether or not it really helps with germination and the strength of my seedlings. I can say, however, that each part of the station is of good quality and the instructions for use are clear, and that it is indeed keeping my seeds warm and moist.

The mat instructions say it is capable of keeping your seeds 10 – 20 degrees warmer than room temperature, depending on whether you have placed it on an insulated surface or not. At my house, this puts it in the 70 – 80 degree range, which is just what my seed packets say I should have.

I will check back in, in a couple of weeks to give an update on performance.

I was really happy with the quality of this Tram 1410 ant. well built out of stainless steel and the main hub looks to be maybe brass or bronze that has been very heavy chrome plated, I used a dab of dielectric grease when I assembled it, it was larger than I thought that it was going to be and I had to pick it up from the post office because it would not fit in the mail box.

it is roughly 3 foot high and about 3 foot wide at the base, I installed all of the arms finger tight and then used a small wrench 9/32 the gently tighten the small lock nuts, I then installed the antenna on a 10 ft.

high piece of 1-1/8 PVC pipe and locked down the 2 allen head screws that hold it to the pipe, I needed 100 ft. of low loss cable to reach my scanner now I am just waiting for my UHF to BNC adapter to get here from China so that I can hook it up and see how well it brings in a signal.

so far I am very pleased with the 1410 Tram. very well built!. I will write back to this review after I have tried it.

After years of making discone antennas from various plumbing parts and brass brazing rods, I decided to try the Tram antenna based on what I have read and the pictures I have seen of the quality assembly the Tram antenna has.

Because, once this antenna is installed, I will not want to be endlessly climbing up on a second story metal roof to service it after a wind storm or bird landing! The fact that the Tram antenna uses stainless steel rods, nuts and hub assembly means no corrosion with good strength, and was a very big factor in choosing the Tram antenna over other name brand antennas, especially the antennas that use fewer rods, or poorer quality materials.

While my home brew antennas worked very well, the rods would end up breaking from the wind or occasional large bird landing on it. I decided that due to age and other health issues, I do not want to keep climbing if I can avoid it!.

Quality is very good and this makes it an excellent value. (E-Bay $37. 00 free shipping) I have several dis-cone antennas and this makes for a perfect attic antenna to compliment my multiple scanners.

V/UHF reception is on par with my Diamond dis-cones. This antenna does not have the low band coverage nor the capability to easily add a vertical whip, yet HF-MW reception is fair. So. it’s not designed for low band! Overall a super value and easy to assemble.

Typically this antenna sells for approx $50 so if you can find it for less, you can’t build a dis-cone cheaper considering it’s made using stainless steel elements.

My daughter really enjoyed putting this kit together. The pieces are bright, and colorful. Her only complaint was that there was no piece to put in the horses back when you remove the saddle. She has another lego set that allows her to do that.

And of course, Lego is so super expensive. Besides those two downers, a great set.

This is a very nice starter LEGO set and my 4-year-old had a lot of fun playing with it. It is quite an easy set to build, although, my daughter needed some help from her daddy, but that just added to the fun.

The pieces are well made and have fantastic bright colours. Once constructed, the structure are sturdy and can withstand play. The characters that came with the set are adorable, too. Hours of fun to be had with this set.

Would be nice to get some additional LEGO Friends sets to add to it as well. Definitely recommend.

What a lovely bit of lego, my little girl loves playing with this. Provides great educational benefits as promotes hand eye coordination, she loved telling me the colours she could see. Loved how this got us to spend some time together as I helped her to put together as she isnt confident but can easily be done by a child on their own.

Brings out a child’s imagination, will be buying more for Christmas, provides hours of fun and great for development. I love this and so does she!! Definitely recommend for everyone, such a joy listening to her playing happily with it.

I had to install a stair and porch railing on 25 year old poured concrete. The railing had to pass local codes so had to be sturdy. After doing research I opted to purchase these Simpson Strong Tie deck post brackets.

They did the job perfectly. The only problem, a minor one. was that I had to shave down the 4″x4″ posts to fit inside the brackets. That was easily solved with a belt sander. The quality of these brackets is superb.

The thickness of the metal is such that you would be hard put to dent it with a 4 pound hammer. The posts I installed are sturdy and solid and easily passed inspection.

These Simpson Strong-Tie EZ Base have made my deck building super easy. Attaching these to the top of the deck with supports screwed to the stringers under the deck top have made it easy to put on 4×4 posts.

I don’t have to cut the deck top boards for through 4×4’s. Just anchor the base with lag screws to the top of the deck and lag screws through the drilled holes in the side of the base and your done! The result is a very strong post to attach the railing.

The quality of the base is made well and the price is good too. I will recommend them to my friends that may be building a deck.

Sturdy. Quality paint finish. Post fit is snug – you’ll have to drive it home. Because of the tight fit, if you install the base even a little bit off-level, it will not be a vertical post, as I found out, and is ‘on me’.

ALSO USED THE BLUE LOC-TIGHT ON ALL THREADS. BEEN RIDING THE BIKE FOR A WEEK NOW AND THEY WORK GREAT.

I can’t say enough good things about RAM and their products. Excellent design, extremely durable, reliable, simple to use, and customizable. I have a canoe, boat, float tubes, and a kayak. ALL have been fitted with ram mounts and I am easily able to move my fishing electronics from vessel to vessel with easy and simplicity.

They offer superior performance to any similar style mount system available, I would choose RAM over anything else in a heartbeat.

It doesn’t have suction?? It bolts fast. I love ram mounts. Use many of them in different configurations over several years and have never been disappointed. Forget suction cups. They will eventually fail and possibly damage your electronics from dropping.

It was spilt all over the inside of the box. 2/3s of the bottle empty. Then when I read the dosage on this item, it only cover 1!!!!! 7. 4 gallon feed!!! What?? Save your money. Even if this $20 bottle was full, it wouldn’t had fed one of my rubber trees a single time.

The product came quickly with very good packaging. Even extra seals to prevent leaks. I feel like they actual care about how their customers products arrive which is amazing. Because I would never order online.

But during this pandemic they came through in a pinch and I would highly recommend there company. Im still yet to run their product a whole cycle. as of now I have nothing but praise for this company and their ability to completely satisfy in such a hard time to find basic needs.

As of now fox farm nutrients and soil are my go to. and I would love nothing more than Michigan growers to appreciate this amazingly useful company that was here for a s when few where.

Too wide for treated pine 6×6 posts. They are in and look great but bent inward due to the 1/2 extra spacing. Customer did not want the recommended rough 6×6 cedar theses would fit perfectly.

I am making a tall playhouse using 4 x 4’s as risers and theses ties are better looking and seem more sturdy than the typical nail-on galvanized style. I like that I can use the double holes for bolts to better prevent movement during use.

Be careful when ordering as there are versions for typical lumber dimensions (a 4 x 4 = 3. 5′ x 3. 5′) and also a R version for Rough cut dimensions (a 4 x 4 = 4″ x 4″).

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. My sons loved this set because they love to garden. Everything is divided into separate packages and there are separate instructions for them so it makes it much easier to put together.

They spent a long time putting it together because it is a bigger set. It is high quality with lots of fun new pieces they didn’t have.

The animals are AWESOME! A lot of people are complaining about the price of the set, but there are 4 minifigures and 8 animals in the set. All of those special parts make the set worthwhile. The build is quite simple, but it is for young children so it has to be easy to build.

Anyone who wants a more complicated barn can always build it themselves out of their own bricks!.

The waterer base is great for your newly hatched baby chicks. I thought I may need to put little pebbles inside but NO. It fills up with water a little at a time while they drink so it is very safe for your baby chicks (they will not drown).

You can put a small mason jar or a large mason jar inside it. Another plus about the product is what it is made of. It will last you forever.

I prefer these over the smaller plastic ones for baby chicks. However they can be used with baby quail if you add some pebbles. For baby quail I use the smaller plastic variety most times.

I really like the metal dish, I do wish it was a little cheaper, as you just get the base and add your own glass jar. It is good quality however and I do like it.

Easy for an 8 years old to handle and cart around. Stayed in place plenty good for our backyard needs. Price was well worth the product.

I wanted to have a set of bases for kids of all ages to use and not get hurt on. These store well and just get placed on top of grass or dirt

Reading previous reviews I purchased this rolled-up set of bases with a constant reassurance that they would go flat. All I needed for my little one was a base to give him an idea of where to stand and where to run.

We’ll, after a month of being out of the box, they are still wavy, wrinkled, and anything but flat. Complete waste of money. Spend a little more and buy a flat set.

Your product is very easy to wire up and antenna install was easy. John Deere tractor pre wire for radio and works great with this system. Like the small size of radio because it make install a lot easier and more location to install.

Would recommend to anyone. Works better than the cb they are replacing. My use will be for short range communication combine to cart tractor. Escort vehicle to equipment moving moving down roadway.

It is a very compact unit that will fit unobtrusively in your vehicle The display screen is clear with a variety of back light colors. Good clear audio. The display is 8-segment LCDs so menu function labels are cryptic and hard to understand until you get used to them- squelch shows as “59” (Sq).

The ghost antenna works OK but without a VSWR meter it’s hard to say how “well”. The 1/4-wave mag-mount that comes standard works just as well. The mirror mount is VERY substantial but I doubt it would fit a rollbar as advertised.

Been a CB guy for close to 20 years with my Jeep groups. GMRS blows CB away, and I’ve been really impressed with the Midland products so far. I purchased a couple of the handheld units and was blown away at their range and clarity so I stepped my game up with this unit.

We’ve got some land up in the mountains where cell phone service is entirely non-existent, and the Midland GMRS radios allows us to communicate with ease from just about anywhere we need to. I have this particular unit mounted in my 5th wheel, with the antenna mounted on top of the ladder to the roof.

Was surprised with the “heft” of the unit as well. Was expecting some cheap plastic case, not here, nice metal (assuming aluminum?) case tells me this will stand up to years of use. I’ll be ordering 3 more (probably the 275 model) to go in my Jeep, my wife’s Jeep, and the tow rig.

Also will be pleading with my wheeling buddies to get their GMRS license as well as these are WAY better than CB. I look at it as a good compromise between CB and Ham. Has some of the performance of Ham, without having to pass a test (I know it’s not that hard) but the units themselves are much simpler and easier to get your buddies to switch over to.

And did I mention how much better these are than CB? Just this weekend my wife and I were in the mountains and were too far out of range for our CB’s to work from my truck to her Jeep, but our Midland handhelds worked great.

Looking forward to having these in all my rigs and camper (plus the handhelds when we’re out of the vehicles).

This magnet is in its own league for quality. Top notch product well worth the cost. Truly the “Snap-On” of magnets. I use it to mount large high power LED light to for use doing mechanic work. The light is not easily knocked off.

I also like how the ring around the outside of the magnet itself is filled in with hard plastic so it doesn’t get all the little bits & shavings of metal stuck between!.

We bought these magnets along with 65lb. pull and with broom holders, put these all together to make holders for our wrap poles for our conveyors. After several weeks of usage, everything is working out very well.

The housing is weak where the bar clamps to saw. It can easily crack and distort allowing the bar to move around and get loose. Then the oil will leak down out the bottom instead of going into the chain bar.

Mine failed after 3 cuts on a large log. (It was a refurb item) Also the tension adjuster screw just presses against a hollow plastic protrusion and will punch through in a short time. If you take the saw apart you can press a 1/2″ piece of 3/8 round bar into that part of the housing to reinforce it.

This saw is very poorly engineered. Way too weak for its size.

I got this because I was having problems starting my gas chain sa. Usually I would get mad enough to say screw it, and buy another chain saw. Since I’m getting older and don’t know if my non starting gas chainsaw was a mechanical problem or was caused by my loss of physical strength an agility problem, so I decided not to buy a new gas chain saw, but instead get a high amp electric saw.

I’ve bought three different reconditioned lawn/garden tools on EBay with excellent results, so I got this model and I’ve had great results. The real clincher is that since it is factory reconditioned and it has the same warranty as new.

These posts anchors are easy to use, work great and also look nice. The only negative has to do with the product description. It needs to state that anchor bolts are required for installation and not included.

I like them but the description said it came with the screws and washers but it did not.

Good for Baby Chickens first week of life with plain 1/2 pint mason style jar. They were able to drink right away and it was too small to cause drowning concerns. I did not have to put anything in it since it was shallow, so it was super easy to keep clean.

They graduated out of it within 2 weeks, but it was worth it in that time.

This is the best waterer I’ve found for hatchlings. I wish it had taller sides so bedding didn’t get kicked into it as much, and I wish they had one that held more water. I brooders with bedding I cut the bottom off of plastic cups to fit into the recess in the bottom – and that helps keep the bedding out.

Nice product, i have many of these quail waterers you can use them with any jar that is same size ring as a reg canning jar ring. I use pint jars in my brooders and quarts after they are out in a grkw out area.

Very sturdy and durable. I am 5?3? and my biggest horse is a little over 15. 2h and the step works fine. Also excellent for stepping into and out of my pickup truck. Slight disappointment was an ugly, dull finish.

I did not pay attention to that when viewing on line. Aside from that, a good mounting block.

Just the right height for mounting. Very sturdy yet light weight making it easy to take when traveling to trail ride. Makes mounting so much easier, especially when you get a bit older and the spring in your step has left you.
