Admech has a major $ per point problem, but this box has enough good units at enough of a discount to make you not care. Would have been cool if the 25mm bases for the Skitarii were included as advertised, but I feel like that has to be the manufacturer and not the retailer in this case.

Just don’t turn anyone into a servitor over this.

If you want to get started with ad-mech this is a great way to get a variety of models. everything was easy to put together except maybe the dunecrawler. The chassis was a bit funky to assemble and the pads on the feet didn’t quite line up right but it looks fine.

Great selection of miniatures to start playing AdMech with. Getting this box costs far less than buying each of these models individually. Excited to assemble my AdMech army and destroy my opponents!

One of the most intricate models Ive assembled. The detail is insane. Be sure to use the citadel plastic glue, you will want these pieces to melt together. Super glue may not secure the tiny pieces

Very good speaker for music and fun for the sale price. For starters I got this for 399. 99 over the 699. 99 as it was price matched from Samsung website and now it stays like this on Best buy. If you like to hang out and mess with friends or family to do Cherokee, this is pretty cool as its good sound and allows for 2 mics.

DESIGN: It’s pretty big, so it’s tall and stands out. It didn’t fit in my car trunk or backseat due to my kids car seat, so I had to open it and put the speaker solo in the trunk, luckily I had a blanket.

It has a nice top where there are big buttons to control power, volume and bass. The small display is easy to see from distance. If your in a tight space, then make sure you measure or read dimensions first.

The speaker as shown sends the sound to the right and left, so it’s best you have it in an area that either the right or left side won’t be blocked off. If putting in a corner in a room, then one side will be close to the wall, not sure how that would impact sound overall.

This is also a pretty heavy unit, but the back has two handles so it can be grabbed and carried, but not a easy care depending on strength level. PERFORMANCE: I had a JBL sound bar and subwoofer 500 watts I had gotten as a gift, but the issue I had with that was the sound for movies was too inconsistent between scenes and I felt I was always putting it high for talking scenes and then once action or explosions happened, had to lower it back down.

This does a heck of a job for me in an apartment as I use it to connect my tablet or phone to it via blue tooth and listen to music to. I didn’t try the max sound yet, but I usually have it at 20 for casual volume and the bass button turns on the bass or bass boost which is pretty impressive.

It doesn’t hit as hard as the JBL with the huge base, but the sound is nice, crisp and really does the job for me. I connected it to my TV through blue tooth to use it when watching TV, movies, and playing playstation (call of duty) and This does the job for me over the JBL because the sound is more consistent across a whole movie.

The bass does a good job for me and though if your a big bass junkie, then you may be a little underwhelmed, but if your looking for a sound bar to get good volume over your tv and a speaker to use for music, then this can definitely do the job for you for the (SALE) price.

I heard the Samsung sound bar through the display at store and this speaker did way more than that think with sound and bass. To top it off it has way more watts then the sound bars that are more expensive.

The other cool thing that stood out to me was that it has lights on the bottom of it by the feet as well as the middle area where you see in the image the space/speaker. When watching a movie, TV, listening to music, or gaming at night in a dark room, its cool to have some light from the speaker as so many are into these new lights behind the tv or in their lamps that are different colors.

There is also an app that you can download to control the color or pattern when using for music. Overall: If looking for a good speaker for entertainment and good sound, this will do the job. If looking for the ultimate surround sound system for movies, then you may want to pass for a super expensive sound bar with speakers and all the new Dolby Atmos.

If not super picky for perfect sound, but want something above average, then this can definetely be used for all your purposes, just take into account the size of the unit and space it will take as well as speaker set-up/design.

I’ve had for 2 months and I use it for TV watching, movies and gaming and I’m satisfied and like it’s performance for the price. I even told a few others I know who were in the market for a new sound bar and looking at the 4-500 dollar ones, this will be better than those if you got the space.

First off, I want to say that I enjoyed this product so much, I bought two. They are extraordinarily simple to use, and the hardware feels rugged but high quality. The sound is good overall, but it can be a little lacking, with some songs sounding a little hollow in the midranges.

The bass boos certainly helps, but it is a bit much, since I prefer a more balanced listening experience. These speakers can certainly get loud. Since I am in an apartment, I usually only have the volume to 15% of max, and it has no issues filling up the space.

The ability to pair this speaker with other sound towers is what sold me on buying a second one, and I highly recommend staying invested in the sound tower ecosystem if you dig the sound. There are some issues I have with the system though.

At low levels, you can hear a small whine coming from the back of the system. It is pretty faint, but it is definitely there, and kind of annoying. It is not so loud that it is a deal braker, but I wish the speaker ran completely silently when no music was playing.

It happens to both of them, so I am figuring this is not a defect. I did not see this in any other review, so I am not sure if I am just susceptible to hearing it, or if no one else has experienced this.

The whine CANNOT, thankfully, be heard when the volume is increased, since the music covers it. I am also annoyed with the software and the interface. Although pairing your phone via bluetooth works great, it is a pain to set up stereo mode when you have two that you are trying to connect.

It has worked every time, but it is a bit of a headache to get it to work properly. I have also had major issues with Samsung’s giga party app. I tried it out once, and then quickly uninstalled it from my phone since the experience was so bad.

The review is 4/5 because of the noise the speakers makes during silent moments, and not because of the app.

I work from home and have my tower in my office. When I am on break, I connect to my tower and upbeat EDM music. I love to feel the bass and the music in my body and throughout my house. When my family and friends have cookouts and parties this year I ask if I can bring it and we use it to play music while we are together.

Other people can connect to it and play what they like. My friends like using the karaoke feature and use both mic jacks to duet with each other. I’m not too much of a singer myself, so I haven’t tried, but my friends seem to enjoy it as well.

I am not too much of a fan of the Samsung Tower app, mostly because I manage my music with other apps, but the tower plays and responds just fine. I am looking forward to buying a second one so I can pair them together.

Honestly, just the one is great, I don’t think I need a second one, but if I can pair them and use two as left and right channel, it’ll be awesome. Moving them can be a hassle, you have to be a little strong to lug it around yourself.

The handles give you something to grip and they seem sturdy. My family has a 3 floor multi level home. We live on the second and my office is on the 3rd floor. Moving it up and down the stairs to use requires some effort, but it’s worth it and honestly makes me feel like a strong guy.

I am happy with the purchase. This works well with my iPhone and my Galaxy.

An excellent kit, easy to put together with loads of options. Having some mechanical dog cavalry for my army will give me the options to move faster across the board.

Wild west outlaws 40k style. Reminiscent of the pistoliers/out rider set of old but with Mechanical steeds, and mostly mechanical riders. Set is full of character, and other options untouted in promo images.

These modals are great, you get to have horses in your WH40 game! Though mechanical, there still great to have in your army to fill out a fast attack slot.

Package had no bubble wrap/foam/protection; the box was somewhat dented but thankfully all the parts were undamaged. Good price, otherwise fine!

Twice the price of an imperial guard sentinel which does the same thing. Amusing nice looking model though.

Probly one of the best units in the admech list, even if the price is a bit high, tricky to build but looks amazing.

Purchased to replace my ageing Panny Viera plasma, and can I see a difference! After much deliberation, with support from Felix on telesales, I opted for this variant against others, as the screen tech is reputedly better for viewing in dimmer rooms, and also delivers better blacks.

As someone that enjoys movies, especially sci-fi this was high on my list of requirements. To test that I tried Terminator on Blu-Ray, and remembering this originates from 1984, it looks incredible. As a baseline that impressed me.

I also enjoy watching concert movies and having played older DVD source through to latest Blu-Ray content, it all looks superb and involving. I could be hyper critical regarding some backlight bleed, but this has not detracted from my enjoyment.

I am still making small adjustments to settings so it may be I can dial this out, noting I’ve already made some small adjustments to default settings as they were a tad bright for me. BTW the power saving brightness option is a handy feature here.

Picture presets are easily accessible via setup, even quicker using voice command. I’m still learning this feature, and may have missed something but it seems odd that after enabling the feature via the smart remote button, I’ve had to repeat the procedure a couple of times.

Not sure what that’s about so any pointers would be welcome if I’ve missed something. Sound quality was a point I was wary of, having read some less complimentary reviews, however the Amplify and EQ options are working well for me, so right now I don’t feel the need for a sound bar for day to day viewing.

For movies I can always go full-on via my AV processor if needed. The only real criticism I’d mention is that no charge cable for the smart remote is supplied. Solar charge is great in principle, less so in the UK.

in winter! Once hooked up it was 100% charged in an impressively short time. A small negative, but given the outlay, not including a cable that costs a few quid seems a bit mean!.

I am impressed with this tv. I came from a cheap 6 year old Vizio LED TV so I already knew that anything I buy today will be an upgrade but I was plesently surprised with the picture quality and features this TV offers.

The image is bright and vibrant making it possible for me to watch without having to close all my windows and shades. Reflections simply don’t bother me anymore. Game mode works well and performance is smooth and stutter free.

The universal remote feature allowed me to control my optically connected soundbar including powering on. Once I upgraded to a Samsung soundbar with atmos, things were even better. You can enable qsymphony as well as control everything on the TV itself.

HDR and SDR content both look good. I had to turn of many of the picture clarity settings off to remove the soap opera effect but that needs to be done on any other TV as well. The contrast and black levels are pretty good as well and I could not find and glow or panel imperfection.

The smart OS has all the apps I need and don’t need and the solar remote is pretty cool as well. I wish the stand was a better quality and not an eyesore but it dissapears right below my soundbar now so I am not bothered.

Overall I am very happy with the product.

Amazing kit, I would say it’s not a good kit for beginners, very hard to assemble but looks amazing when done properly!

The Ruststalkers/infiltrators are a really cool unit. You get plenty of extra bits for which ever unit you don’t build.

Sometimes the surround sound can be too sensitive and cause echoing from the TV. Sometimes the sound gets very static for a period but that is a minor issue. Static only happens for about 3 seconds or less.

I really like this Product. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting to buy a new TV for their home. It is very reliable for a great TV watching experience. It is definitely worth all of the money that it costs.

I would purchase this item again just to have one of the best products that Samsung has.

A perfect TV for those looking for a good TV that won’t break the bank. Don’t expect QLED or OLED picture quality BUT if you are upgrading from an older LED/LCD you will notice a nice jump in picture quality.

The jump in picture quality from a 10 year old Samsung was readily apparent. The unit is also very light weight so getting it out of the box is easily accomplished by just 1 person. If you have limited space where you are going to place the TV on top of, the distance between the leg stands is just shy of 35 inches meaning the TV can be placed on a fairly small coffee table, bookcase, or other piece of furniture.

Many other TV’s have leg stands that are extremely spread out, almost to the edges of the actual unit. With some adjustments the colour reproduction is very pleasing. I was very surprised how good 4k Netflix looked both in colour and how detailed the picture was.

The remote is decent but I found myself going back to my Cable providers remote as it just has more options. The TV has an excellent set up feature when you first turn it in. Easy to follow and get rolling within 5 minutes.

The sound is typical of that from a TV these days. Passable but not definitely not optimal. I was able to get slightly deeper sound by adjusting the equalizer but the reality is TV speakers are there as a last resort.

This is a great TV when you accept what it is. A mid range LED TV with good colour and picture. A better unit will cost hundreds more. But for the price I felt good having a name brand TV that has a track record of producing solid TVs.

Starting my first army and picked these up. Went together pretty easily. The only thing I would say is, if you are a picky painter, consider painting before assembling. There are some hard parts to hit after they’re all together.

I’m excited to revisit skitarii after building and painting them as my first ever Warhammer box a few years ago. Very fun kit to paint!

If your looking for some bits for a conversion, I used the hooded heads as cultists heads in a small conversion I did with some genestealee cultists and admech bits, needless to say, I love them, I wanted to make them look like the Ghost people from Fallout New Vegas and so far Success! Cant recommend them enough.

And the helmeted heads I used on some scions and they look freaking awesome.

A great way to get the most out of your Skitarii, especially since each 10-man Skitarii pack has only one of each special weapon when each team can take up to two. Highly detailed and very nice. Takes primer and paint well.

Of course, that detail comes at the price of durability, and the think pieces can easily become bent and broken. Otherwise it’s a great product and is fairly durable once assembled.

Very good unit both in game and a great one to build plenty of customization and very cool design. Would highly recommend

I had the opportunity to setup and utilize the Logitech Z333 Multimedia Speaker System with my custom PC build. As a gaming hobbyist and vlogger, I was in the market for a decent sound system for a great value.

Setup of the Logitech Z333 system was super simple with the RCA compatible inputs. The subwoofer, although standardly bulky, fits nicely underneath my computer desk well. The satellite speakers, although also a bit more bulky than preferred, fit well alongside my monitor.

With technology booming, I do wish these speakers were a bit more sleek and compact in design. Soundwise, audio quality is decent for the value of the product. Volume range is standard and pleasing. I find the clarity of sound to be adequate in middle ranges, and a bit less so as volume increases into the highs.

Overall, the subwoofer provides nice bass and power. The Logitech z333 Multimedia Speaker System works well for various multimedia outlets, including social media videos, music, gaming, etc. I love that the volume control is small, and simple to manipulate.

If you are looking for a good sound source for your PC at a terrific value, I recommend Logitech!.

Simple decent sounding speakers able to produce decent sound even from the next room. My wife likes to play music and then wander into other rooms in the house. These speakers easily accomplish this.

Another thing that I really like is that there is a “remote” volume control (it is attached with a wire, but, you can pull this closer to the keyboard) with a power switch and a headphone jack. I find this far more convenient than forcing me to find the speakers to adjust the settings.

On the “remote” volume control, I would have preferred a more visible placement of the power switch and a bass control. I own an older Logitech set of speakers that does it this way. On the other hand, you set the bass on the bass speaker itself and I rarely change this level, but it would be really annoying to have to crawl to where I have the bass speaker to change the bass level.

This does allow for a larger volume control. Not a huge complaint. I am really astounded at these speakers given the cost. I would not hesitate to buy them again.

I bought this headset less than a year ago and so far it’s been okay. The overall quality of the materials used is OKAY, but the design is extremely poor. 1/5 Just from normal use, my headset has cracked where each ear fastens to the band.

It’s apparently a common issue with these, which I wish I had known before purchasing. I recommend googling it. The comfort is about a 4/5, and the sound quality is decent, I’d say. 3/5. Overall the headphones lack bass though.

One thing that’s really terrible about these headphones is the Ghub software which is used with them. It will change your drivers on you without telling you. It also features a terrible UI, and is literally just bloatware.

I do like how I can use these when I’m away from my computer, the detachable mic is pretty nifty. I’d recommend getting a set of professional grade headphones over these though. Especially for the money.

I was so excited to get these as they were what I thought a “Great Deal” being $50 off but when I got home and started to use them I am so disappointed. They are heavy! The contact point below my ears are hurting after only an hour.

The sound is nothing special at all and not very loud, I had to spend so much time playing around with the settings in game to try and get the chat loud enough to hear team mates without the game being way to loud and even then it’s hard to hear them.

I don’t think people need a 6 foot cord to go from the headset to their controller either, that is overkill and a pain having to tie it up in a bunch. Such a lunch bag let down, I will be returning them.

Great product. Audio is amazing, Bass output warms my soul. No issues with mic audio. Teammates hear me clearly. Volume control on headset is easy to use. Battery life is great. Can use for about 2-3 days for 4-8 hour sessions before it starts beeping.

However, the cloth material irritates my ears after about 10-15 minutes. I have to place another piece of cloth between my ears and the headphones to use it for hours at a time. Also, it feels like it may just break in the area where the earpad rotates at the headrest sometimes, so I feel like I need to be a bit careful when picking it up and placing it down.

Still extremely satisfied though.

Very reasonable price for what you get. A trusted brand and the quality that you would expect. These are definitely not audiophile headphones nor is the mic going to be adequate for recording music but it is just a good all round headset for everyday use.

Worked perfectly first try on my Manjaro Linux PC, I simply just plugged it into my front USB port and I was away. This is perfect if your PC doesn’t have a combined mic/headphone jack which usually means the mic input is going to be extremely static (mine was).

Using USB as the interface means the audio is delivered digitally with way less static!.

Thanks again Elijah Gilbert for the recommendation. It is exactly as I wanted it to do. I work from home and have a lot of video conferencing and this headphone may be lightweight and not as expensive as other headphones that costs us more than $200, it catches real time conversations etc.

As for it being lightweight, no one uses it but me for my video conferencing and store safely too. Thanks PB Tech for making sure that your telephone lines are answered so that people who can’t walk into the store like me ( due to medical reasons) can have access to your wares like everyone else.

The directions were poor, like nonexistent. There was just a little drawing showing that the usb should plug into the computer. Says plug and play. When I first plugged it in I expected it to work and that I would hear the sound from my computer thru the new headset.

Wrong. After about 15 minutes of trying everything I could think of to get the sound, I finally Googled it and the Logitech website gave me everything I needed to know. In all, it took me over a half hour to get the right information to make it work.

The headset itself actually works great! But what a pain and a wasted half hour of frustration when it would have been so simple to include the directions. And they are simply: go to your computer’s “system preferences” and click on “sound.

” Then click on “Logitech. ” It cudn’t be simpler BUT WHO KNEW?.

Let’s start off with what you should do as soon as you get the speaker unboxed. Do yourself a favor and look up Samsung’s support page for the T40. Download the firmware update onto a USB drive and plug the drive into the speaker.

Let the update apply, the display shows the progress, when finished remove the drive and download the Bluetooth stack update. Plug the drive in, let the update apply, and your ready to rock. The bluetooth update in particular seemed to improve the performance of the speaker, gave it better bluetooth range.

Now that you are up and running, start streaming your content to the speaker using a phone, tablet, whatever bluetooth capable device you have and listen to your chosen media. Use the included remote to make adjustments to the sound profile as you see fit and crank it up.

The speaker can get loud, very loud, indoors it can blast you out of a room. That is a good thing though, plenty or volume for whatever activity you choose, indoors or out. My kids love taking the T40 out by the pool so they can listen to music or podcasts while splashing the summer away.

At night they love adjusting the lighting profile from ambient to wild dance party type light patterns. They also enjoy the included DJ functions which allow them to apply a few included sound changing patterns to their music.

The speaker is big, and weighs a decent amount, but the included carry handle makes moving the T40 around easy. We sometimes have it in a bedroom, the kitchen, the living room, the garage, outside, it goes all over the place.

The T40 is easy to use. Today’s kids are so surrounded by tech, my kids never even read the instructions, they just knew how to use it. There are plenty of options for getting your material to the speaker.

Bluetooth, USB drive, or direct connection. We have used them all and they all work, it’s just easy. My family loves this speaker, yours will too, give it a shot. You will be happy you did.

this is a big speaker so i figured between that and the samsung name this thing would rock. but alas it was a letdown in the most important aspect of a speaker’s performance. sound. i have a 20 year old samsung surround system where only the subwoofer and 2 satellite speakers still work so i was expecting some improvement with an ac powered speaker this size, from the same manufacturer.

when the music played it was a major disappointment. the bass was boomy but unsubstantiated. the mid and treble sounded like the speaker was broken. overall it wasn’t fun to listen to music. so i returned it and ordered an hk onyx4, which is not nearly as loud, but i think much better sounding.

i wanted to like this samsung speaker.

This is a nice speaker for your summer outdoor parties. It’s easy to move around since it weighs about 18 lbs. The speaker has bi-directional speakers on two sides and with a subwoofer on the bottom, so the music can be heard at a greater range.

That’s 300 watts of high power audio. If that’s not enough, up to three units may be synched and grouped together. There are many connection options, including bluetooth (two different devices simultaneously) and USB.

It also has two ways of connecting wired analog devices. One thing that is missing is a digital audio connection. I like the ability to connect devices that don’t have bluetooth support. This way you could connect a TV (non-bluetooth) digitally to the T40 in place of a soundbar.

The T40 plays all kinds of music, including MP3, WAV, WMA, FLAC and AAC. There are multiple sound presets to suit your style: Party / Standard / HipHop / EDM / Rock / Latin / House / Reggae. It also has an additional Bass Boost feature that claims to provide extra boom.

However, I am disappointed in the fullness of the bass. The overall sound is not as rich as expected. For amateur DJs, there are six DJ sound effects and six light modes. The tempo feature on the remote allows you to speed up or slow down the beat.

You can use the Samsung Sound Tower app (iOS, Android) to control everything right from your phone. The Samsung T40 Sound Tower is a great fun system for small backyard parties.

Great sounding speakers with huge presence. They’re easily able to go way beyond what desktop speakers need to be capable of. I guess part of the THX deal is the movie theater feeling the sub gives, always there, always over-emphasized.

If you find yourself with strange headaches while working and playing music, hit pause for a while and you might be able to see what I mean. The fronts are full range with phase plugs for pretty crystalline and lively highs.

The roll off between the fronts and the sub is interesting, as the “bass” knob is not a subwoofer control, it’s more like the “Tone” knob we used to have on our cheap boom boxes in the 80s. As you adjust the Bass knob, you are adjusting the satellites as well as the sub.

You can turn it all the way down for a pretty tame, wooden sound to try not to bother the neighbors. Thunderous and uncontrollable bass is available, there seems to be a point on the volume knob past 10 o’clock where these come alive.

I would definitely not recommend these guys if you had neighbors you can hear, since you’ll become the noisy one. You’ll find sub-bass all over songs where you’ve never heard it before. This thing needs a knob for the sub! I’m running these through a Sound Blaster Zx card via the optical output in an effort to try to tone down the bass, but that volume threshold on the right satellite is the only way I’ve found to be able to keep them tame enough not to bug everyone in the house.

I really thought about returning them for a little bit, but decided I’m keeping them for those times when I really want to crank it, because when you do, it grabs you by the face and shows you what loud really means.

They are not as sweet sounding or perfectly staged as the Bose Companion 5 set they are replacing, but with sound card adjustments, I’m able to customize the sound much more than I would with the USB connection of the Bose.

It’s like going from a Lincoln to a Shelby GT350, muscle car style speakers, so much power you’ll likely never use it, but having that headroom makes them fun.

I’ve been using these speakers for about a month now, and they still have a good sound. They replaced 25 year-old Creative Labs 2. 1 speakers, that didn’t have tweeters, so they should sound better. I use them primarily for gaming and now hear some high frequency sound effects I didn’t know were in the game.

I use a Sound Blaster Recon 3D sound card and I really like the optical input capability of these. The cords are long enough and the power, volume, and bass knobs on the right speaker are very handy, and have a good quality feel.

I wish the knobs had led indicators so I could see them in the dark, but I keep a small flashlight on my desk for that. When you plug headphones into the jack on the right speaker the speakers go silent, the sound is redirected to the headphones, and the volume knob then controls the headphone volume.

It doesn’t sound anywhere near as good as plugging the headphones directly into the headphone jack on the back of the sound card, because the sound card amplifies the signal with a DAC specifically designed for headphones, whereas when you use the one on the speaker you are listening to the signal tailored for speakers, so it’s quieter and less punchy.

Overall, very pleased and will likely keep these for the next 20 years. They also look good on the desk and, being dark gray, when I use low lighting, during game play, they are invisible.

It’s hard to believe this system can put out this much sound. The speakers are very clear, and the subwoofer really puts out some bass. It is funny to me how some reviewers expect to spend $200 and think the system should rock the entire house! If that was the case the product would always be sold out.

As far as I know to do that you need an A/V receiver with separately bought speakers and at least one subwoofer! Get real. You are looking at $1000 at least. The surround sound systems that come with speakers are nowhere near as good as adding bigger speakers to a separate receiver.

Anyway, for the price, I don’t see how you could complain. Switching inputs is a breeze. All you do is turn on the signal you want to use. The sound from only 3 speakers really gets the job done. Is it going to get really loud in a huge garage or living room? No.

But this is a computer speaker system. I am really surprised it’s as good as it is. It’s very good at home theater sound in a medium sized room. The Z623 is also very good but it doesn’t have an optical cable input.

You can get a digital to analog converter so you can use a TV or whatever you have with it too. I bought one and it was less than $20. The sound I am getting from my Z623 hooked to my TV with the converter is very good.

It sounds digital like the Z625. In my opinion Logitech makes the best computer speakers for the money. Happy shopping!.

After doing my research, I came to the conclusion that the Samsung Q80A was the best TV for my budget. And while it seems to have worked out okay, when I first saw the picture quality, I thought I’d made a huge mistake.

I initially just connected the TV to my wifi and used the native apps to do some streaming, and immediately noticed a hazy white cloud that started in the upper left corner and extended three quarters of the way across the top and a third of the way down.

I tried multiple apps with the same result, and even called Samsung to trouble shoot the problem (a factory reset seemed to help temporarily, but the haze gradually reappeared). But then I plugged in my Roku Ultra and like magic the picture looked great.

So bottom line, the onboard apps are terrible, but once you disable all the “smart” TV stuff, it works really well using external inputs. And frankly, I have come to HATE smart TVs and wish every manufacturer would stop making that the (usually) only option.

The software is often terrible, they often don’t offer all the services you want, they tend to stop supporting the apps within a few years hoping to make you buy a new TV, and they tend to be exponentially slower than a Roku.

And did I mention in this case, yield an incredibly low quality picture? So I’d much rather get a dumb TV for less money then be forced to pay for a bunch of sub-par apps that I’m not going use, and that are anything but smart.

But as pretty much all manufacturers do this, I guess I’m as pleased as I can be with the Q80A. As for sound, the TV speakers are also pretty terrible. but as I have a sound bar that I connected to the HDMI3 ARC channel, I’m getting really good sound.

So I probably wouldn’t recommend this TV if a) you don’t plan to connect a sound bar or surround sound system, or b) you plan to use the onboard apps for streaming. Otherwise, it’s got a good picture when using external inputs, good viewing angles, and certainly pops when displaying brightly colored images like you see on the sales floor (darker images are fine, though certainly not videophile level quality).

But for the price, I mostly got what I expected, and what fell short were things that weren’t as important for me personally.

Very pleased indeed with this television- pretty straight forward to set up, although takes a while to enter all the passwords etc for numerous apps (there is an online 250 page manual, so there’s potentially a lot to learn when I get the time).

Used to love the picture on our 11 year old Samsung plasma 55 that had just packed up- but this tv beats it by a mile. The picture quality is superb- bright, ultra sharp and with tremendous visual depth of field (a caveat- freeview non-HD channels will not overly impress, but that’s the streaming providers’ fault and not the that of the TV.

May also need to adjust picture modes according to the type of content being presented). However, HD and 4K channels are absolutely stunning. Equally good is the sound- much improved on older flat screens, and I don’t feel the need to buy a soundbar.

Indeed, the whole experience of watching it is akin to trip to a private cinema. TV comes with 2 switchers- one smart, with Alexa (and others, I believe) built in, and very few buttons (which takes a bit of getting used to as it is so fast to react), and a standard one.

The latter is of the usual format, but surprisingly rather cheap looking, with very small buttons cramped together. Also equally pleased that I bought it from Richer Sounds- my ‘place to go’ when purchasing hi fi etc- here in Plymouth.

This is my first time upgrading TV in about 10 years, I had a pretty high end panasonic which was great for the time, but wanted something with a smaller bezel, better colours, 4K support, and a bigger screen so I thought this samsung one looked like a good option.

Setting up the TV was fine, had no problems what so ever with it, it was all very easy, the power cable is detachable which is great, the stand all went together nicely and I had no issues. When I turned on the TV and finished setting it all up and updating it (took about 15 minutes) it immediately started playing random programs from the built in samsung TV plus thing, I spent about 20 mins trying to disable it until I found out you can’t.

This is a very expensive item, there shouldn’t be ads on it at all. I ended up just disabling the smart features all together. Another minor issue I had was the lack of a headphone port, or well, the lack of inputs all together, my 10 year old panasonic has support for pretty much everything, but this TV only has HDMI, USB, and Optical.

But I will let Samsung slide on this because as tech moves on we lose these things and can’t expect them to be around forever, a headphone port would be great though. Overall it’s a great TV but ruined by the built in adware.
