20 Best Thick Toenail Clippers (2022 Updated)

Very simple – it didn’t cut either mine or my husband’s nails. The amount of force I would need to apply to “force” a cut is more than I have. Also it was difficult to place.

I have had a German pair of snippers for over 40 years and never expected to find another really good pair of them at least at a good price. These are terrific and fit the bill!!! Thanks

As a Nurse I have had problems finding a suitable tool for cutting toenails. These are perfect If you or a family member have problems with thick toenails.

I bought these tweezers 20 or 30 years ago. They were superb. The pair I just bought is almost as good as Revlon tweezers which cost about 1/3 as much. The entire jaw surface area is suppose to meet.

Not just the edge of the surfaces, the entire surface area – like a high quality pair of pliers. These don’t do that; they only meet at one edge. The toenail clippers are good. They have an effective non-slip grip which also serves as a catch bin.

Most, not all, of the nails automatically fall into this bin. The flaw is in the design – the jaws don’t open wide enough to EASILY get around toenails. (You can fit them in, but it’s sometimes a struggle).

Because of this, the toenail clippers work better on fingernails since fingernails are thinner than toenails. If you read reviews that say Tweezerman tweezers are no longer precision tools, believe it.

I am a caregiver for my spouse and regularly trim his very thick toenails. Finally I have clippers that I can easily grip and that are strong enough to cut through his 70-year old nails. The advertisement for these clippers states that the clippings will go directly into the case instead of falling on the floor.

I have not had that experience. However, I don’t mind as long as I have an ergonomically designed tool that is sharp enough and big enough to cut through his nails. Thank you Tweezerman!.

These are a decent pair of very solid feeling toe nail clippers. I know they are recommended for men (forget that) they work the same on girl’s toenails too! The handy little nail clipping catcher is great, just ensure you’re tipping it up so the clippings don’t fall out.

The best part is the straight cutting edge, this is the way podiatrists have been telling us how to cut our toenails to prevent ingrown nails for years.

I actually bought two nail clippers from different companies. This nail clipper has a padded handle that prevents my hand from slipping. It’s light weight and well balanced. I have arthritis in my hands and I found it easy to use.

This is only the second review that I have written in my fifty decades on the planet. I have purchased multiple nail clippers in the past few years in an attempt to get one that actually clip my nails well and easily.

Most have the same problems of either being poorly constructed or not being sharp enough to clip the nail. TWEEZERMAN to the rescue! I’ve used the Tweezerman fingernail and toenail clippers for approximately four months.

The first thing one notices when removing them from the packaging is that these clippers are solid! It’s difficult to find solid products, so I was thrilled with the weight and sturdiness right away.

(If you are old enough to remember how “solid” automobiles and appliances used to be, you’ll know what I mean by “solid” clippers. ) After testing them on a snag on my fingernail right after opening, I could not believe how cleanly and easily they clipped my nail.

I literally smiled and got excited. I ended up clipping all of my fingernails, just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. It wasn’t! I then tried the toenail clippers and had the same wonderfully clean results.

After I submit this review, I am off to purchase two more sets of these!.

These are my all time favorite nail clippers. They always make great clean cuts, have a good spring like action to them and don’t fall all over the place on you when you’re trying to squeeze them. They are perfectly sharp and don’t slip out of my hands at all.

I would love if they had a case specifically for these though. I would also like a curved toenail clipper in addition to the regular flat edge. I love the curve of the fingernail clippers. It’s a perfect size.

I deal with tremors as well and these are easy to use for me!.

I’m glad I purchase these. I think Tweezerman does a fine job in producing self-care products. I have tweezers from them and they worked wonderfully. These nail clippers are just as great. They clip the nail cleanly without needing much pressure.

I am especially appreciative of the curved edges on the smaller clippers. I have to say my nails are much cleaner-looking around the edges because of that. They’re of fine quality!.

These Bezox model MD-121 nail clippers appear to me to be well made, good quality. They feel good in the hand and do not slip when you squeeze them. They have a spring clip in the handles that returns them to the opened position when you relax your grip.

They even come with an extra spring in case the original spring breaks! They have a good blade angle that makes trimming with both hands easy. The blades are VERY sharp. So, it’s quite easy to cut through the nails and since they are well sharpened all the way across the entire blades, you can cut nails on the end areas of the blades or you can make a larger cut across most of the nail.

Just be cautious when cutting the edges of your nails around the cuticles. It’s easy to get the blades into those areas, but be careful that you don’t cut too far in, such that the blade can inadvertently cut into you skin and cause it to bleed.

If you just pay close attention and go slowly, this should never be a problem. I like these clippers and would recommend them to anyone who wants clippers that are easy to use, fit the hand well, and can easily cut through thick toe nails with accuracy.

They are worth the money.

Best cutter I have had for the last few years and I have had a few issues with my nails. How long this will last I don’t have any idea. But since the cutter is brand new hopefully for quite some time.

Great grip for holding the cutter as most are metal and slip in ur hand while cutting the nail. 5 star for cutting.

I like this product because the cutting head comes to a long narrow point and is ideal for getting right into the corners where my nails tend to bury themselves into. They are also comfortable to hold.

This nail clipper is the most unweidly devise I have ever used. First it is way too small and 2 it is impossible to function as a nail clipper especially for toenails.

This one will get the job done quick and easy. This is my favorite toenail clipper, it’s easy to use and sharp, it can cut regular nails and thick nails. They work very good on senior nails, great grip and angled for easy cutting.

I lost my old Mehaz clippers and had back to the old type of straight toenail clippers. Took only one cutting with the old ones and I knew I had to find another pair of the Mehaz. I found them online at Walmart.

Placed the order and they were here in four days.

I have very thick nails on my big toes. These are so easy to use, and they cut right through them with no problem. I love items that make my life easier and these definitely fit in that category.

If you have hard toenails or fingernails that won’t cut with a brand new pair of clippers then these are your solution. I have used them both on my fingernails and toenails several times. It won’t let you take to much off at one time.

The blade has a guard to put on the blade when not in use. Having two handles to squeeze to cut the nails-they are cushioned- which help a lot! I don’t have ingrown toenails or fingernails. These clippers have a slight curve to the blade which is comfortable.

I got the idea to buy these clippers when I took my 92 year old father to a podiatrist. They used something very similar to cut his hard as nails toenails. I bought these primarily for my husband. He is a little intimidated by them, but I think he’s just an old dog set in his ways.

I used them on my much shorter toenails and found that you can cut very precisely. They are very easy to hold and feel very secure in your hand. They cut like a scissor would which I think makes them superior to the regular toenail clipper.

These clippers are sharp, wide opening, and are finished perfectly! I have thick nails and they do the trick! I recommend them highly! A word of caution: As with any fine, sharp tool, extra care is needed to not over clip.

In the market for new toenail clippers after Scholl springs broke on first use (they were not great at getting under my nails anyway). Came across these cantilevered ones and thought that I would give them a punt, partly because I was intrigued by the engineering.

In the event, I can say that they have exceeded my expectations, and raised the bar about what I should expect from nail clippers in future. They are very well finished, having a heavy and professional feel.

The cutters are very sharp and effective, the cantilever mechanism making light work of cutting through the thickest nails, and tending to retain the nail clippings for tidy disposal, rather than pinging them off to the four corners of the room.

As they are so well finished, they have been great for trimming, and less painful in use – the Scholl sprung-style clippers now feel like they were blunt and inefficient items by comparison. The accompanying nail file was a welcome bonus.

Powerful cutters for older peoples thick toenails, does the job well quality product considering buying a second set. The design means you need less power to cut nails, nice polished stainless finish.

I purchased this clipper on 1/19/2021. I used to swear by them but here lately both the toenail clipper and the fingernail clipper in this series are very cheaply made plus the lever used to clip eiher has a sharp point on it making it uncomfortable to use or the angle is so steep that the clippers are unmanageable.

Plus blade on the toenail clipper is smaller that in the past models not allowing for enough blade to trim the nail. I still have the ticket and am planning on taking it back to the place of purchase.

Admittedly the angle on the lever was so steep that I could not exert any pressure to clip the nail. i tried to straighten it just a bit for handling purposes and it snapped. Looks as if its made of pot metal.

won’t purchase this brand or series again.

Hard to tell what is what. did not realize there were that many different types of Clippers out there. I use Revlon toenail clippers on my fingernails. I have rheumatoid arthritis so those little Clippers don’t work well for me so I use toenail clippers.

The ones I have are just as basic Revlon toenail clippers. They works very well and they’re very sturdy well made. I like the size better, it’s easier to hold on to. I do not like long nails on me. I think they are very pretty but I personally like my nails.

I think they are very pretty but I personally like my nails on the shorter side. Like them well groomed and painted but I clip them. My hair and nails grow very quickly and we have pets, if I want to paint my nails I have to do it at night whenever you things asleep.

I did not lime this product. Metal shards came off when clipping my nail the first time. I wish i could sue this company but the metal didnt go into my nail bed. I am very upset about this product. It needs to go.

Go with a different brand. Doc if metal shaving come off and get photos. My hands were wet.

I received a stainless steel JAPONESQUE Pro Performance Toenail Nipper for free from TryItSampling, and I love it! I used the nipper on my toenails, and I felt like the cut was more precise compared to standard toenail clippers.

The blades are very sharp and easily cut my toenails. I also like that the blades are hand sharpened. It gives it a more artesan touch. The no slip handles are nice, and I like that they come with a little sheath to cover the blades when not in use.

For years I have purchased only Tweezerman. I did extensive research and testing before coming to the conclusion – Tweezerman!!! and only Tweezerman. I would enthusiastically tell every guest who came into our pharmacy looking for a personal grooming product – Tweezerman!!! and sold many.

Imagine my dismay when I bought the clipper set and the fingernail clippers failed to perform at the highest level of quality I have come to expect (and rely on) from Tweezerman. Oh dear. This is the most amazing toenail clipper. For years, I have struggled to attempt to do a complete and straight job of cutting my toenails, sometimes leaving sharp corners, which I notice when they catch on a sock or other piece of clothing or bed linens, and often cutting one too short, causing discomfort.

It’s a straight nail clipper. Since Walmart doesn’t carry anything but their name brand that splits your nails instead of cutting. I bought these to be delivered to my house. Guess what good old UPS sent to my Post office box.

Nice toe nail clippers. They have a good feel to them although these are a slightly lighter weight than my previous clippers of the same size. Nice finish, super smooth operation, with excellent precision cutting blades.

The dimensions are: 3 and 1/8 inches long (8 cm) by 1/2 inch wide (1. 2 cm) at the blades. 3/4 inch in depth/height at its tallest point. I would recommend this item as a good bargain for budget toe nail care.

Nail clippers are pretty standard in my opinion. I got these at Target and they do the job just fine. I’ve had them for quite awhile and they work just like they did when I first got them. Great to keep in a purse or makeup bag for clipping things like tags or random strings!.

I really like the grippy part of this tool. Clips my nails easily and doesn’t leave the nail needing to be sealed like some clippers. Works well for fingers and toes just like it’s supposed to do 🙂 Would definitely recommend for at home nail trimming.

I have a lot of issues with nail clippers due to my left hand from an accident when I was 19. These were very easy to use in my hand. I do wish there was maybe a bigger version for my husband. For what they are, they are a tad pricy, but they will last a lot longer than normal cheap clippers.

I bought this toenail clippers so I could have two pair. I like both pair. The reason that I got this second pair is because it takes so long to get my older clippers back from having them sent to Tweezerman’s free sharpening service.

It takes two to three months to get them back. I think that you should try to get them returned in three weeks. I would like for you to send a free mail in envelope whenever you return the sharpened clippers.

I have a really bad ingrown toenail on one of my big toes, unfortunately, and I bought a pair of these and was able to at least shape it so I could paint it and make it look normal, for the beach during summer.

But it grows back, you have to continually keep up with it. I think the only actual permanent fix for it, unfortunately, is probably going to be surgery, but these are at least helping me hold it off, for now, lol.

Although I had a bit of a problem with the first pair I ordered, Customer Service Representative James Meere stepped up and replaced the damaged nippers. These toenail nippers are particularly precise for cutting thick nails.

They don’t leave chips, rips or what I called “shadow” of the nail. The nippers make a clean cut and enable you to get to those ingrown nail areas without any issues. I highly recommend these particular type for ease in taking care of your nails!.

These are great clippers! I love this brand of products and they are affordable! I always buy this brand and they don’t break easily like some of the others. If you’ve never tried these! You should grab a pair to try.

Seriously these are the best. I know it’s gross but I have been doing my own pedicures for years. First a soak in baby feet which makes your dead skin completely fall off. Then these clippers which clip an entire nail cleanly, leaving a nice line and then polish.

I also use this clippers on my fingernails. I have had my pair for ten years. I soak them in peroxide once every two months. They have maintained their sharpness.

I like all Trim products from clippers to tweezers. These clippers are sharp, easy to use and durable. Does not leave my nails or toenails feeling rough or jagged. I don’t know that I have ever used a product besides Trim when purchasing clippers but if something is not broken do not try to fix it.

Summer is here and it’s sandle weather. I bought a longer nail clipper since my hands hurt alot from fibromalgia. These are a good shape to get right under the nail bed. It’s pointed front helped with my ingrown nail.

It’s easy to use and gets your nails short as needed.

If you’ve ever had nails that curl inward this is the product for you. I would recommend this brand as it is sturdy yet efficient and gradually painless. I would definitely recommend this affordable accessible brand of clippers to just about anyone and everyone.

The packaging is the generic cardboard and thin plastic. The machine itself can become squeaky, but other than that, it works well. If you have sensitive ears, steer clear. This item is very cheap, so it’s great for the price.

I hope this lasts a while so I don’t have to buy another one, but I would gladly do so until I had the money to upgrade to a *less squeaky* one.
