I had prior, same size and simliar ASICS sneaker- only difference is color. In the store they felt adequate And because the previous pair was good I was hoping these might “wear-in” after a bit. Bad decision on my part.

They’re too snug. I’ll take part responsibility for not being more discerning, but I’d also like standardized sizing. But they will be the best looking sneakers that will be sitting unused in my closet.

I’ve bought these shoes a bunch of times. They’re very comfortable, durable and look good. They are my everyday casual shoes and even though I had bought a pair not long ago, a great email promo came along so I bought this pair in a different color as back-up shoes.

I used to buy another brand (because I lived near a factory outlet store), but the uppers on that brand always wore out at the toes. So I’m an ASICS fan for life.

These shoes are exclusive to exercising (walking, running, jogging). Perfect for treadmill and natural terrain. This is my second pair of ASICS and I prefer these as they are more comfortable for long wear.

The color design is exactly what I have been looking for. Please don’t discontinue these.

This is marketed as a neutral shoe for underpronators who are prone to plantar fasciitis. That’s me. I underpronate because I have high arches. I bought this shoe for all those reasons. When I got them, the fit was good, but the sockliner is a completely flat piece of memory foam; not a hint of arch to it.

I tried the shoes and it actually made the top of the arch in my left foot hurt–which is a whole new kind of ache in addition to my usual plantar fasciitis. Unfortunately, the usual arch support inserts I use aren’t a good fit in this shoe because the heel cup of the insert raises my heel height, so the ankle of the shoe rides lower around my ankle, which feels unstable.

I contacted customer support to ask them if they have any suggestions on an arch support insert that would fit this shoe, and rather than answer my question, they responded with a very unhelpful email with a link on how to return them–they didn’t answer my question at all.

The info on returns states: “Merchandise must be returned in its original condition within 90 days of purchase. Returns received after 90 days will not be accepted. Original condition is defined as: All tags still attached to product.

Material must be unworn, unwashed, and unaltered. Merchandise must be in its original packaging. Return shipment must include the packing slip. ” Well, I can’t return them: they’ve been worn; I did remove the tags, though I saved them in case I needed to return; and my order didn’t come with a packing slip.

So these shoes were a very poor choice for me because they lack any arch support, and the brand, well, it’s apparently a poor choice for me as well since customer service ignored my actual question in favor of a useless form email on how to return.

This was my first ASICS purchase in several years, and I thought I’d try them again, and I’m very sorry I did. A bad experience all around, and now I’m stuck with a shoe I basically can’t wear.

Pros: – Plenty of room for all my toes and a bit of a bunion – Normal, non-flashy colors. Don’t feel like clown shoes. – I like the laces actually. A bit of texture to them so they stay tied. – Nice grippy soles – Light-weight Cons: – An usual amount of padding (imo) at the back of the shoe/ankle area.

I walked 3 mostly paved miles in these the first day and was starting to get a blister at the back of my ankle. – Zero arch support. I mean z-e-r-0. – Soles aren’t as cushioned as my last pair of Asics Overall these shoes are fine.

I know they’re running shoes, but I’m going to mostly walk around my neighborhood or aerobicise at home in them. Once I get some inserts to raise my heel to avoid blisters and provide some arch support I think they will be great.

I can’t blame Asics too much for the ankle blisters since it’s a problem I have with most shoes. My big concerns were color and having enough room for all my toes.

I waited several weeks before posting this review to see how the shoes felt on my feet and I’m here to say these shoes are great. I bought these to walk around my 1. 7M sq ft warehouse for work. Concrete floors, climate controlled and I walk about 6 miles a day.

These shoes have stood up to the challenge. I have BIG FAT feet like Sasquatch/Fred Flintstone and ordered these in a 13 4E and have zero regrets. Plenty of room in the toe box and the gel heel feels great all day.

The typical swelling of the feet through the day doesn’t seem to be an issue with these shoes as with other shoes and boots I have. They are light and feel cool on the feet with excellent breathability.

Overall I am extremely pleased and only time will tell about the longevity.

My feet hurt bad enough that I’ve bought from other brands very expensive walking shoes. I’ve tried multiple brands of sneakers, the ASICS brand is the only tennis shoes I wanna buy going forward. I have never felt more comfortable sneakers, it feels like I’m walking on clouds.

It’s also more reasonable priced than others I’ve tried in the past. I own about 5 pairs of ASICS now. I love them, wish I knew about these back when I worked as a cashier and was a cosmetology student.

Always on my feet. However I can enjoy them for theme park days or if event come up where I need to be in my feet a lot. This is a fabulous product, well worth the money, I highly recommend.

This is my 3rd pair. It usually lasts me 18-24 months of daily walking the dogs (scent hounds that pull ALOT!) Approx 4km as well as an all-rounder type shoe. I need the traction for all sorts of surfaces being sealed paths, grassy areas and light gravelly paths.

It does lose its grippiness when the blocks wear out and can be slippery on mossy concrete areas. Comfort levels is above average, fits securely around the foot and takes the shock away from the knees.

Value is great. Asthetics is okay in black, but it does look like a dad shoe. I’ve recommended this.

I run in hot, cold, rainy, muddy, and rocky conditions and these shoes roll with the punches. I have none spurs in one of my heels and these shoes (along with some gel inserts) absorb enough impact that I’m rarely in pain.

Well worth DWS’s price. I’m buying another pair today to keep the train rolling.

I’ve been buying Asics Gel Ventures for years — from model 6 thru model 8. I walk just over 3 miles every day, mostly on concrete. I normally get the 4E width just for the added room in the toe box.

These have always been flawlessly comfortable, and I typically get about 6 months of wear. Definitely recommended.

I normally wear ASICS Gel Contend for my gym workouts. I decided to try these Gel Venture for more outdoor walking (on trails and dirt) activities. They do run true to size, but the laces feel too short if I use the last hole.

There is not as much cushioning in these as in the Gel Contend. I appreciate the darker colors that aren’t pastels, that’s always a bonus for me as I actively seek out darker workout shoes. They have a slightly different BIL’s inside than the Gel Contend and frankly don’t feel as supportive, but the padding in most exercise shoes wears out super fast these days anyway.

Nothing extraordinary – good or bad – to say about the shoe construction and fit. It is comfortable, fairly light, and pretty much everything that I expected — except the color. The gray/orange combo is extremely bright! I will keep them and wear them.

I go through trail shoes so quickly, I was really going for affordability over fashion because I know that I will replace these within a couple of months. In the meantime, I’ll give the neighbors and fellow trekkers something to talk about – the obnoxious orange color of these shoes! I would recommend these shoes.

I wear ASICS Gel exclusively for my jogging and hiking and I buy two pairs so I can trade off. I jog and walk every day at least 5 miles. This is my first try at the Venture. The fit is a little different from my last ASICS Gel shoes.

Cushioning is fine as is traction. The toe box feels a little narrower and I hope a little more breaking in will alleviate that. I’ve been happy with the durability of my previous ASICS shoes and I hope the Venture will be no different.

This is a great line in all colors. Priced right, and respooling is economical. I use this on spinning reels. I like to troll straight line with crankbaits for Pike, walleye, smallmouth. I use 10lb test.

I am trying the Solar collector for catfishing rivers, 15lb test. Using UV lights at night. Any problems, like tangles, usually is my fault.

Berkley Trilene is the only monofilament I will use. As an avid angler I use the xl on my ultra light and bass rods and the xt on my heavy musky, catfish, and surf rods. The knot strenth is great, the abrasion resistance is great.

Low line memory! With so many reels to spool Tackle Direct is the only place I’ve found that carries the line selection and size spool selection I need. Great service too!.

When I started fishing as a child, I began with heavy line, and have never stopped. My brother had gone to walleye clinics which preached finesse fishing. I informed him that with 6 pound test like I could keep the lure makers in profits for snapped off lures.

Trilene 12 pound does not snap off, nor does it have to be retied all the time. I have in years of fishing, equaled and excelled past people fishing with light line and with spider wires which proved to me that heavy line is not a detriment to casting, drifting, jigging or trolling.

I like having line on that I do not have to worry about in being cut and not losing fish.

REAL, UNPAID FOR REVIEW!! Do not DISBELIEVE all of the reviews saying this comes new, in box with stains. The edges never fluff up, it is nothing like the pictures in the ad. It is flat and is all you can feel is springs, you cannot feel the memory foam padding at all which is about 1/2 an inch thick in reality.

If you are on an extreme budget and going to use a box spring with this, MAYBE it could work, but I am finding overall that beds packaged in a box just is not ideal (I’ve tried about 5 now and it is no fun returning an opened mattress at Walmart Customer Service).

Save a little longer and go for a 12 inch memory foam of a better brand if at all possible! I would not even suggest this for children (I have two kids) because I don’t think it is best for your back to have big springs under you without at least 3 inches of a foam pad, even then I don’t think it would be comfortable.

This mattress is not comfortable, nor is it high-quality. It is about as comfortable as you would expect in a pull out sofa bed. Possibly something in an RV. Do not purchase this mattress as a regular mattress as it is not sufficient.

I use it in a guest bedroom I am creating so family can stay with me while I’m having surgery and through my recovery process and honestly I am self-conscious about it. I would absolutely return it without hesitation if I could do so, but since the mattress is heavy and large and I do not have a truck to move it I am sort of stuck with it.

If the return policy is still good in a month once I have recovered from surgery, I will return it then. If there were a different return policy, one where Walmart would come and get the mattress from me I would definitely do that.

I can feel the springs in this mattress, as well as the wooden slats of the bedframe through the mattress itself. The mattress is very springy so when you sit on it it bounce up and down. Definitely not a good quality one trying to sleep.

It is also very shallow, so it does not sit at the proper height on many good friends. Overall this mattress looks feels and even sounds cheap. You get what you pay for, so don’t ignore the fact that this mattress is very inexpensive.

Do however ignore all of the reviews praising this mattress. It really is not very good, so spend some extra money and get something better.

Ordered the king size and it shipped super fast. First time ordering a mattress online or that comes in a box, so I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into & was really taking a chance with this purchase.

My fiance & I were wowed from the moment we got it out of the plastic. Feels extremely high end!!! Sleeping on it you would never imagine it is at this price point! Amazingly comfortable and supportive.

It strikes the right balance of firm and soft due to the mix of textures I assume. Definitely will never buy a non-hybrid mattress again. For the price it seriously is a must. Another thing, I was really worried about the thickness and height of the mattress being too wimpy & cheap looking but that ended up being a non issue.

It actually looks very sleek & streamlined, and again very high end which I love! We have a modern & slim bed that it goes excellent with. (Not sure if this mattress would work with more burly bed styles.

) Overall this mattress exceeded expectations and it doesn’t disappoint!.

It was time to replace my walking shoes. As I entered DSW the sales associated asked what I was looking for. She was very helpful in directing me to the recommended brands for women’s walking shoes for my personal activities and even gave me a mini-review on each model.

This was the first shoe I put on and it fit like a glove. It was cushy as I love the gel feature. Just roomie enough in my metatarsal and hugged my heels. The laces were just the right length so they wouldn’t become untied.

I am thrilled with my new ASICS – GEL Venture 8 running shoe and my feet, legs, and hips are much happier too!.

I bought this in Orange/grey color but the quality of new models of Gel ventura is really bad. The shoes tore within two months of using. I only used them for walking 10K steps a day but they tore from inside at the heel.

Sponge is totally gone. Earlier I used Gel Ventura 6 for hiking and it worked for years but this one didn’t work for even 2 months. Same thing happened with Gel Ventura 7, and I returned them. But this one I cannot return as I am past my timeline because I didn’t use them immediately after I bought.

The quality is degrading with every model.

I bought these recently while on a shopping trip with my husband. I hadn’t planned purchasing any that day ~ until I saw the terrific selection of Asics. This Brand has always been a favorite for me because of the support, comfort and the great variety of styles.

I definitely was not disappointed this time either ~ they are Oh, So Comfortable. My feet are very sensitive and I have back issues that demand well fitting shoes with great support and these fulfill every requirement.

I am so happy my husband decided to go shopping that day at DSW ~ and I am delighted with my Asics Gel Venture shoes.

Was looking for a new pair of workout shoes, and could not find the right shoes at the right price where I normally buy shoes. After a quick web search, found Rogan’s Shoes, and found the shoes I was looking for.

I normally buy ASICS, so knew my size. These shoes were exactly what I expected. Delivery was very fast as well!.

ASICS is a well-made brand, and I have several pairs. For some reason, I didn’t like this style of this sneaker. To me, they were reminiscent of an orthopedic shoe. It’s not always so easy to find the right look unless you try them on in person.

I did purchase another pair that I liked much better.

Very comfortable sneakers! But they fall apart when wearing less than a month. Unfortunately, i didnt begin wearing it immediately when purchased, so the “return” time frame ran out. Such a shame with such nice comfortable black sneakers and the front falls apart so quickly!.

As someone who, while in my pre-fatherhood days of logging 75+ mile weeks at paces typically between 6:00 and 6:30 per mile, is just getting back into running, the Clifton 7 was my default place to start after taking over a year off.

My last experience with the Clifton line was the 5 (I have worn every edition other than the 6), the improvements to the upper and weight reduction were a strong positive. Unlike many other reviews, I actually preferred the responsive foam reformulation in the 4 and onwards as opposed to the overly soft 2 and 3, as it was more durable and gave more bounce through the lifecycle of the shoe.

The 7 picked up right when I had left off but has a more open upper with a gussetted tongue, something sorely needed in every version sans the OG. My only concern with 75 miles in is the longevity as the sole is showing a decent amount of wear.

I have heard the 8 outsole was reconfigured to increase durability so I am looking forward to my next pair for comparison. However at this point the wear seems to be mostly cosmetic and has not effected the traction or midsole cushioning.

I use the Clifton 7 for my daily runs, longs (I alternate the 7 and the Mach 4 for long runs) and recovery runs. Other than speedwork, as there are much better options for that case use purpose IMO, the Clifton 7 remains what the Clifton has always been about, a supremely cushioned and comfortable ride for logging a ton of miles at an incredibly light weight and a variety of paces.

The questions over durability are the only reason I am not giving 5 stars, but RR Sports was, as they always are, wonderful to deal with!!.

I absolutely LOVE my Clifton 7s – best athletic shoe I’ve ever worn. I have problem feet/ankles/knees/hips due to rheumatoid arthritis and my 7s made walking for exercise SO much better. I loved them so much that I wore the soles down and the treads off, so I began looking for a replacement.

My local running store did not have the Clifton 8s in stock in my size, so I tried the Bondi, but they didn’t work for me. The store clerk suggested I order the Clifton 8s in my size directly from the Hoka website.

I was super excited to get my new shoes, but SO disappointed when I tried wearing them. The 8s are SO different from the 7s! THE GOOD: The only positive change is that the laces of the 8s are shorter (I always had to double or triple tie the laces of my 7s so as not to trip on them).

The outer sole still seems to offer good cushion. THE BAD: There’s something about the heel that feels stiff, thick and irritating, and just doesn’t fit comfortably for me like the old one. Also, the lining fabric is slick and sweaty/not breathable.

The worst changes, though, are in the toe box. The toe box is too narrow – and I do not have a wide foot. When I stepped forward, I could feel the edges of the insole irritating the edges of my feet where the insole and shoe meet at the sides of my feet.

Adding to this discomfort is the fact that the laces of the 8s start further toward the front end of the shoe than in the 7s, which caused the first lace to cut off my circulation at the base of my toes making the top of my foot tingle.

I tried loosening the laces, but then my foot was too loose in the shoe. I’ve sent them back for a replacement and am going to try the same shoe in a wide, just to see if it’s any better though the toe box, but I don’t have my hopes up too high.

I really hope the next version is improved!.

Read this if you’re a runner and don’t know if you need to size up! After a 10 year hiatus from distance running, I decided to pick up running again and needed new running shoes. Honestly, there are so many options out there I didn’t really know where to begin.

I just want to run a few miles a week so I didn’t want to spend a lot, but wanted something that offered good support because I’m not getting younger. I checked major sport sites and these shoes seem like they’re the most popular for a mid-price range.

As I’ve had zero experiences with Hoka before, I wasn’t familiar with their sizing. I read reviews on multiple sites and it was a mixed bag – some said they ran big, some said small, some said wide, and some said narrow.

I checked all the size charts and they weren’t particularly helpful, either. For reference, I am a solid US women 8 in most shoes – sneakers, heels, boots, sandals. Width wise, I am average – not narrow, not wide.

I’ve never gotten wide shoes in my life, but certain shoes like Converse do feel tight after walking for a while. For running shoes, I always sized 1/2 size up. I used to wear 8. 5 in Asics with thick running socks.

Anyway, I filtered down the reviews to those who mentioned running and it seemed like most runners suggest to get your regular size instead of sizing 1/2 size up as you would with most running shoes.

So I decided to get a size 8 in regular/medium width. With modern technology, I was able to pick up the shoes from a local sporting goods store 20 minutes after ordering. I tried them on in the car and knew I made the right decision – there was some wiggle room from my big toe and the width felt perfect.

Even if I wore thick running socks, it should still be a comfortable fit. Once I got home, I went for a 1 mile run and they felt fine on asphalt/concrete. Obviously, it’s too early to tell if they’re actually right for me, but I’ve had running shoes that immediately hurt, and these didn’t do that.

I am excited to see how.

I like that there’s a questionnaire to help you find the right type of shoe for yourself. This helped me to select the Clifton 8 with high arch support which is wonderful. It’s the first time that I’ve had athletic shoes where I didn’t have to buy a special insert to give me the support I need.

I also like the higher back heel design because I have to use a heel lift inside my shoe due to a leg length discrepancy. I have to add a half inch heel lift under the insole. Since your insoles are rather thin, I wore these around the house for a bit before venturing out in them to make sure that I could tolerate the edge of the heel lift which I normally don’t feel under my other insoles.

Not too bad. Also having the extra high back on the outside is great because if the back of the shoe behind my heel is too low after putting in the lift, it causes problems with the shoe slipping off of my heel.

That is not the case for these shoes. Finally wore them to the gym and all I can say is the cushion is great, support is great and I had no heel slipping out of the shoe. So far, so good. I’ll have to wear them a bit more to make sure these are as great as everyone says.

Looking forward to continuing to try these out and hoping that I like them enough to buy a pair for normal every day walking. Was also a little apprehensive about the mostly white color but I’ve already gotten compliments on them.

The pattern with the blue is pretty cool.

Love this bed. Only gave 4 stars because the mattress and the headboard have a big gap between them. I would recommend purchasing a thick mattress topper to close the gap between the headboard and the actual mattress because it just looks weird.

Other than that, the mattress is comfy. The bed frame was easy to put together. Two people put this bed together in under an hour and without a power drill. We used a good old fashioned screw driver instead, that’s why it took almost an hour to assemble this.

The bed seems sturdy overall and the felt fabric on the headboard and sides gave the bed a real modern look. I recommend this bed.

This mattress is ideal for my guest room. The word “plush” in the description might be a bit of an over-reach, though. For me, it’s a bit on the firm side. However, other buyers who read this should note that I personally prefer hybrid mattresses to memory foam, so take that into account.

It arrived well-boxed, and was easy enough to move from the delivery area to my bedroom. I followed the instructions – which were easy to understand – and the mattress inflated perfectly to its pre-designed fullness with no trouble.

There was no chemical/factory smell, which sometimes happens. All in all, this was an economical buy, and I would buy it again for the application that I mentioned above.

I’m sleeping on a cloud! Wonderful softness, but supportive. I’ve always preferred “foam” to innerspring mattresses, but with many of the memory foam, the sinking is way too warm in the summer here in Houston.

This mattress gives enough support for back without being too firm. Topped with a nice cover, however, I am using a mattress protector. I let it grow for 3 nights before sleeping on it. With the very cold temps, it took a bit longer to expand.

It seems very even in depth now. No noticeable odors. Yes, I would recommend and order this again. Great price on sale!.

This was not the 1st Hoka I had tried on but this was the first I ended up buying and loving. When I ordered this shoe, it was after becoming more serious about increasing my weekly mileage and starting to train for a half marathon.

After finding out that my real shoe size was a size down but in a wide, my options were limited. I wanted minimal drop coming from NoBull trainers and Altras. I had never purchased a shoe with this much cushioning thinking that I didn’t need that but when I started to add to the weekly distance, I really started to feel it.

The Clifton’s were an immediate positive change. From the first day running in them, I have no more foot pain. The amount of cushion took a few miles to get accustomed to. Upper: light an breathable.

No weird rubbing or pressure points on my 9. 5 2E. Heal counter kept me in the shoe with a runners knot. I appreciate the gusseted tongue. I did not experience any weird or unwanted foot movement inside of the shoe.

Midsole: I do like the cushion for those high millage weeks or those slow steady runs. I would not recommend this shoe for speed work only because there are so many lighter options. I would not term the shoe as “heavy” though.

I do also like how full contact the sole is. To be clear, this is not a “bouncy” sole which I prefer on long runs. I want something to shield me from the abuse and that is exactly what the Clifton has been able to do for me.

Overall: Great workhorse of a shoe that can take the mileage. The Clifton renewed my interest in the brand so much that I purchased a pair of Rincon 3’s as well. With my overall pleasure in the purchase, my wife has also make a Hoka purchase.
