20 Best Tights For Winter (2022 Updated)

I bought these thinking they were sheer like pantyhose. I was pleasantly surprised to find they are tights with the neat design. I’m thinking they will look special with my black turtle neck sweater dress.

Cant wait! Wish this virus would go away so I could go somewhere and wear these. Oh well, there’s always next year, I hope.

These tights feel absolutely wonderful. Just enough shine. They are dark gray so you can wear them with anything. Really Really nice! Thank you Zulily!!!

They looked so cute when I initially put them on. Throughout the day, I noticed there was an unraveling at the seem in the crotch area. By the time I got home, there were two big holes. I only got one use out of them.

These tights are a bit hard to get on at first because you really have to stretch them as you wriggle into them. But the payoff is that they’re very comfy once you do pull them all the way up. No sagging, which is so important.

I purchased the navy color, which is a really dark navy as opposed to a light or bright navy. I got the L/XL size, even though I’m not as tall as the sizing chart indicates. Glad I did. I think it’s wise to go by pounds rather than height in the case of tights.

I ordered true to size and find these tights to be very uncomfortable. The day I wore them, every time I sat down and stood back up the waistband would start to roll down. I was constantly fixing it and had to go into the ladies room and adjust them a few times.

When I got home, the first thing I did was take them off! I have not worn them since and regret buying these. I liked the tights I bought previous to this brand. I think they were Linea brand. I suggest sizing up if you buy the Memoi brand.

I do not like these panty hose! To begin with the front and back seams over my belly and behind are huge and bumpy. The bumps can be seen on the outside of my dress! Ugh! Shameful that Nordstrom sells an item of such poor quality.

Moreover, the stockings stretch and become baggy when worn! I do not at all recommend this item.

I bought three pairs of fleece lined tights to wear under my skirts and dresses and sometimes under my pants as a way to layer and keep warm during the cold weather months. I like the colors of the tights, I like their style.

I like that they’re comfortable against my skin and the fleece inside doesn’t pull my leg hairs out if I don’t shave my legs. Also, i like that they are thick enough to not be able to see my skin beneath them, but not so thick that they can’t be worn under a pair of tight jeans or a thin pair of stretch pants.

Most importantly, they keep my legs warm! I would purchase these leggings again in the future, they’re good quality and do the job they’re supposed to do. I think it would be cool if they made a nude pair in a few different “nude” shades.

The colors were perfect, the price was right, and I was excited to get them, BUT it was impossible to get them on!! They were made all wrong. Straight up and down, without any give in the material. I can not figure out how anyone could get into them.

I sent them back for a complete refund. I would advise the company to take them off their inventory!.

Had a couple pair of when these first came out a couple years ago, THEY were warm & fuzzy. THESE are HALF as thick for more money, and a sincere disappointment. ALSO: I only ordered one pair in black & ONE pair in grey, but was billed for & received TWO pair in grey, which no one @ Amerimark would even TRY to fix/make good.

Very underhanded. Not the warm, comforting tights that I’d purchased before, by a long, long mile. Return the quality & fix your online ordering system, stop double-billing repeat customers who will NEVER be “loyal” customers NOW.

This is my 3rd pair of aubion riding tights and these last pair did not fail to impress me. o wanted something comfortable as I’m a size 16 These did the trick really comfortable and very warm on those winter days with the fleece lining.

Only bad thing would be to say maybe some pockets for phone etc would be nice.

Good weight for a riding tight and ideal for cooler days but dont expect them to be thermal. Comfy and quite quick drying if caught in a light shower.

They are great. They’re the most comfortable pair I’ve worn and warm too.

I bought these today in the store. Let me re-phrase that, I bought TWO pairs today in the store. These are amazing and the price was right too. Very comfortable, very stretchy, great length (I’m 5’2”) and they don’t look super long (they’re long, but when you pull them up they don’t look like you have a bunch of extra material – the stretch helps with this), snug, well-made, and they better never get rid of these.

I did not know Dick’s came out with their own line. It was my first time in the store today in a long time due to the pandemic and I am so happy I saw these. They’re not thick, but not thin either. I forgot to do the squat test, so unfortunately, I can’t comment on that.

Very basic. No creepy, weird lines, cutouts, or pockets. VERY nice thick elastic waist band which is probably what sold me the most. It will keep my fat hips in line and I won’t have to worry about pudge rolling over a thin waistband.

Very slimming and flattering on. They do have a moderate slick shine to them. If you need a good pair of every day, comfortable leggings, get these. Perfect for the gym too! I’m 155lbs/size 8/10 and bought the large.

The medium wasn’t that different, but I’m between sizes depending on designer – they’re just more snug. I decided to go for the large just because I plan on wearing them on lounge days as well.

Just received these last week. I have never written a review for anything before. but these leggings are great! My favorite leggings in the past were Lucy, but they went out of business and I have been searching for great leggings ever since.

So many leggings these days are high waist and they don’t work for me. These truly are perfect. Not too high, not too low. No sagging. Great pockets on sides which actually fit my phone. I am 5’3″ and weigh 138lbs and the size large is perfect! Wish they had more colors, I would buy them all! Also, such a great price!!!!.

These were a Christmas gift from my parents as I mentioned I needed some warmer clothes for running. Not sure how well they will do in temps below freezing, but I run hot and was comfy in them in 35 degrees.

They’re also extremely comfy and have pockets. I have a size small and they are a little big in the waist, they have a tendency to pull down a little with my phone in my pocket. I’m 5’7 and tend to have difficulty finding leggings that don’t stop above my ankles.

These bunch a tiny bit at the bottom, so for someone who is tall they should be pretty full length! Great por of leggings for the price!.

Although these Tights are designated as Winter wear, they are not all that warm. They definitely do not protect your legs from wind. In fact, I could feel the cold breeze through them just walking to the barn even though there was only 2 mph winds.

They are comfortable to wear – no scratchy seams. Soft brushed interior lining. Horse hair and barn dust brushes right off the smooth exterior. No cell phone pocket, which is too bad. There is a small interior pocket to hold ? A key maybe? Wide comfortable waistband which doesn’t roll.

Other than the wind & breeze cutting right through the fabric, my biggest issue is with the sizing. I purchased 28R which sags at the rear and is loose and drapey down the leg. I then ordered 26R which was very difficult to get on over my heel/ankle, was tight on the leg and up over the rear.

The entire Tight was too short (crotch wouldn’t come up high enough and waistband very uncomfortably too low with full-seat seam hitting right along top of my bum). I am 5’4”. Therefore, there is no suitable size for me, which would be 27R as there is such a disparity between the 26 and 28 fit.

First the good, very warm, stretchy, and comfortable. Pockets are a huge plus and the wide waist band holds the belly in just right. They do run a bit big but I usually layer a thermal under my winter breeches here in the mountains so that’s not a negative.

My biggest complaint is the Orion Blue color. It’s a lovely light blue to mid blue color in the photos. Upon arrival they were very dark, almost Navy. I was really excited about the color and thought I had been sent the wrong pair.

I kept them because they are functional in every way advertised and that’s really what mattered most.

These seem soft and super warm, but they are made so strangely! I take a 30 in most breeches, so I ordered a medium. I cannot get them more than halfway up my thighs…and they grab around my calves. They also seem not very stretchy.

A friend at the barn who wears a 26 tried them and said the same thing…they grabbed around her thighs with no stretch and were too big in the waist. Maybe my pair is defective? I cannot imagine who these would fit.

The quality is great and they’re very warm. One thing to note is that they do look quite chunky as they’re very thick but they still work under a regular pair of black tights for winter but they do make your legs look thicker.

If you’re short and on the thinner side these ‘one size’ tights might be a bit too big for you. I’m 5’2 (158cm) and usually wear an S and these are a bit big on me and bulge up around the knees and thigh area so have to adjust a lot to make them work.

I’m pretty satisfied with these tights. I got the black ones. They keep me very warm during the fall in Canada (and it feels like they’ll be warm enough for winter too). The only downside is the length of them; I’m 173 cm and I can feel that they’re a bit too short for me (although I can still wear them quite comfortably).

I think if you’re more than 177-180 cm, you shouldn’t buy them.

These are soo warm and comfortable. I wore them to sleep (I get super cold during Winter it’s no joke) and I wore them under my uniform pants at work all shift. The slimming effect is comfortable AND flattering, and the fleece layer is low profile.

But I have to dock one star because the pair I got doesn’t have additional reinforcement on the toes!! And the material there is a bit flimsy. I get the impression a hole will be worn through sooner rather than later and this could have been avoidable.

If I remember I will even come back and update when this happens lol. Such a shame for a nice pair of tights.

If you have tried older versions of TNF’s Winter Warm tights, this current design is quite different in both materials and fit. Overall, not the biggest fan of the changes. The good: – Hardier front fabric is more abrasion-resistant and wind-resistant – A slide-in thigh pocket has been introduced which holds phones and gels well – As a shorter individual (5’6″), the new shorter length is perfect for my proportions The bad: – While the material on the interior is still fleeced, it is much thinner than the previous version.

The slight degree of wind resistance is nice but warmth has been the tradeoff. As someone who was looking for more of a thermal performance tight, this was disappointing. – The materials are more constrictive compared to the previous version, including the stitching.

This gives the tights a tendency to ride down along the legs slightly. Tying the drawstring on the waistband will keep it in place, but the tightness around the thighs from the stitching makes it less comfortable.

– The fit around the thighs seems to run small while the waistband fit as expected. This is possibly due to the reduced stretchiness in the fabric. This means that you may need to size up to fit your legs.

The waistband might be looser but this can be remedied with the drawstring. For sizing reference, I am 5’6″ and approx 165 lbs. Overall, I like the addition of the pockets but I miss the previous version.

It’s a shame it’s been discontinued. I’m still using them for running just around 0C but I’m not confident it will handle lower temps (-5 to -10C) well. I’ll look forward to the next redesign.

These are warm tights for cool weather running. These are comfortable and keep the important bits warm. I’ve run in these twice in 45F weather with one day drizzly and they performed very well. My thighs or calves were kept warm throughout the run.

My legs did not get wet or cold in the drizzle. These tights leave a little above my ankle exposed (I’m 5’9″ 145 lb) but longer socks are always an option. The waist band is wise to use else these tights will ride down.

The small of back pocket fits my iPhone 6 with a hard case well so I don’t have to use the right leg pocket, although the pocket will fit larger phones quite well. The lack of one star is I feel these tights ride a little low but that will not stop me from using them.

They do the job and I can’t wait to run in colder weather with them.

So these do run small, I went up a size to what I normally buy in tights and they fit comfortably, getting them on at first was really tight but once up they fit like a glove. I am 5’7 and the length is perfect, hits exactly as a full length tight should, the high rise waist also comes just over my belly button which I love.

While these do feel warm I am yet to take them on cold trail. The material is thick and feels comfy, they feel like a soft shell jacket for your legs! I am happy they aren’t fleece lined, I want to wear them on high output hikes in cold weather and don’t want the fleece for that.

These are designed for active pursuits and not cozying up with a coffee in the snow. I would have liked to have seen more renforcement in the bottom but I can see without it, it does give much more flexibility.

If you are on the fence if you should try them, but they seem like the type of tight you are looking for, get them. I think the other reviews unfairly shamed these.

These tights are fantastic! I run about 10kms 3 or 4 times per week throughout the winters in Winnipeg (plus some cross-country skiing on weekends), and these are definitely my favourite pair of winter running tights.

They got HEAVILY used this past winter and are holding up well so far. They’re snug without being too tight, and they’re actually long enough for me, which is extremely rare even though I’m not insanely tall (about 5’9″).

Having that extra length is essential for winter tights so I don’t know why it’s so hard to find. My only (minor) complaint with these tights is that they won’t take you much past -10 deg. C. They still work well as a mid-layer on colder days, but don’t expect to get away with wearing them on their own when it’s below -10!.

Primarily using these for winter running. The waist is a good height for keeping warmth in and keeping my top tucked. Inside is soft and fuzzy. Good range of motion with these, similar to a normal non-insulated tight.

Draw strong at the waist is always appreciated. I probably won’t choose these for the super cold or windy days of winter, but as we get into the colder months I think these will be a staple.

This is my first pair of winter running leggings and I love them. I’ve worn them a dozen times now in temperatures down to -5°C. We’ll see how they are when it gets colder. The quality is great. The waist is high enough for me and with the drawstring they stay up.

I’ll be trying out other Craft tights after this. At 5’5″ and 170 lbs, size L fit perfectly. I don’t mind the extra couple inches in length in winter.

I am super happy with this pair of compression pants. The MCS system works well yet it is the overall compression of the garment that I am impressed with. The Light Speed Compression Tights significantly reduces my lower extremity muscle fatigue and reduces cramping in my gastrocnemius bilaterally.

They also help me stay warm on the cold mornings and I do not suffer from any chaffing. The zipper pocket is just big enough to hold my ID and medical insurance card. I highly recommend these for anyone who runs.

I am 5’9″ and weight approximately 165 with more leg muscle mass than upper body muscle mass. I wear a medium and they are tight and take a little work to get on yet this is how they are designed. If the size is too big, you will not get the compression control you might be after.

WOW these are INCREDIBLE. Being 2XU, I knew that they would be exceptional in quality and craftsmanship but WOW these Force compression tights have exceeded my expectations. I’m a natural bodybuilder, training legs Tom Platz style twice a week as well as punishing them on the track and 10,000 miles a year mountain biking / road biking.

These tights are the ultimate for anyone wanting to train legs. I can get deeper into my squats and go heavier. The feeling of compression on my gluten, hams, quads and calves is incredible and they do show off your bubble **** which causes many glances! They are exceptional on your knees too.

Just incredible but I’ll be moving size up very soon due to my leg growth. Well done 2XU. 100% perfect.

Before buying this compression tights, I was reading some reviews on the website about it and to see how good it was. I then went to a Rebel store and did some fitting with a ‘L’ size, with the guidance of the Fit option on their website.

I’m 5 foot 7 and have some chubby thighs, and these tights are great! I bought these because I have enrolled myself in a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class so I needed something that stay puts on my legs and waist (or hips?) and it didn’t disappoint me.

It was super comfortable that it feels like it was part of my skin. So I rated 5 stars. If your thinking of buying this, I suggest that you do a physical fitting to really see if you have the right fit.

These are a disaster. Why even make tights with y-seam crotches? They’re not comfortable, they’re not durable, and they do my butt no favors. The fabric is already starting to tear around the crotch seam and I’ve worn these exactly once, for less than 6 hours.

Also the cable design only goes up to about my mid thigh, so wearing these with mini skirts is out of the question. Even more so because the ugly double seam extends down well past my butt. I wore these with a knee length dress and when I bent over, it looked like I had a saggy diaper on.

The only nice things I have to say about these is that they’re soft and warm. But there are equally soft, warm tights out there that I can actually wear with mini skirts. In summary: they run short, the crotch is weird and unflattering, they’re coming apart at the seams after one wear, and the sweater design stops at the mid-thigh.

Avoid these.

Fabric is polyester, so it does feel synthetic. Other than that, it looks like photo and does have soft, felt interior. Feels thick. I gave it 4 stars because I am always a S/M (medium best) and these were tight when I pulled them over my upper thighs.

I am 5’2″, 125lb, 137 hips, with chubby legs (thickest part measures 21″) and I would recommend going up a size if you don’t want to struggle pulling them up. If you have skinny legs you should be okay, but if you’re my size or bigger it’ll be more comfortable to size up.

It will still fit, but is tight and I had to pull gently for fear of ripping it.

They pull down at the crotch after a while. I even went a size larger to make sure they weren’t too small or just fitting. They fit me perfectly and are snug around the waist initially. I pull them up well over my thighs to make sure they aren’t being pulled from my knees also, but they just slide down.

Then you have to keep pulling them up very awkwardly every 30 minutes or so. They get worse with each wear also. They’re soft and comfortable before that though, but I can’t use them at all.

Love the look, very comfortable, but they are slippery! The silicone seating isn’t really silicone. Kinda plasticy… they’re slick! But I still wear them. Maybe I’ll gain a tighter leg because of it? Haha.

Style of the glitter is very cute, however the wider waistband tends to roll down a bit. The pocket is great. Material is nice. Fairly good grip. Good quality!

Excellent. I am fairly tall and reasonably slim-formy age! I like the fit, look softnee and general comfort in wearing of your tights-but prefer to buy your leggings as they are more useful i. e. can be worn with socks+more convenient.

My first purchase was from independent store Browns of York-but they say they are no longer stocking the leggings-nir tights which is a pity. Is there another store bear Harrogate which still stocks them-I have not found one? Please do in navy as well as black.

My wife thinks they are wonderful. Warm, supporting, comfortable, and the silky feel is, apparently, gorgeous. She also likes the price. She has Moreno wool tights as well, but they’re not for everyday wear because of their cost, she says.

alittle darker than I had imagined they were going to be but fit well and very warm and cosy colour charts could be improved as well as grey tights I have also had red ones, nothing wrong with the tights and I have kept them but I really wanted pillar box red so I was a little disappointed.

name your colours more appropriatley. ie Pewter and pillar box red which every one understands. keep it simple.

I was so excited when I found these – I was looking specifically for the kind of sweater rights I used to have in the 90s, and these looked just like them. NOPE. I’m only 127 pounds and 5′ 3″ tall, and bought the L/XL because I didn’t want them to be insanely tight.

Well, I could barely even get them on, and they were squeezing me to death! The tights I loved from the 90s had a very soft, cotton, truly “knit” feel, and didn’t strangle you. These aren’t that knit material at all – they are definitely more like opaque panty hose with the cable pattern in them.

I was so disappointed in these, and returned them. I only gave 2 stars because they seem like nice quality otherwise.

My name is Erik and I have been snowboarding for 24 years now. I look for warmth and comfort when I buy base layer. I tried on a Medium first, but it was a bit too tight, so I went with the Large. And at 184 cm it fit perfectly.

I tested the Eivy tights in the cold winters of Norway riding a whole day, and didn’t get cold even once. The pros is that it keeps you warm all day and it doesn’t move that much. It sits so tight that it supports my knees, which I need now that I am getting older.

A con is it sits very tight so it might not be for everybody. But if you like it skin tight, this one is perfect. All in all this is a definite buy. You might want to think of how you want it to sit on your body, after all this is ment for female, so you might want to consider a size up if you are a man.

These are the third pair of Eivy tights I’ve bought in the last 2 years because can you ever have enough? I love the print, but most of all I find they have the perfect ratio of warmth to breathability on the mountain.

Recommend to anyone on the fence.

Given a few earlier reviews, I was concerned about the sizing. I am 5’3. 5′ and weight 138. I bought the size 2, which others close to my size had found too small. The tights fit me just fine. They are completely opaque as well, which is what I wanted.

I find they make a certain style look pulled-together and complete So, I would recommend them.

Exactly what I was looking for. Heavy black-out style tights I can wear with a knit dress in the fall. They keep my legs warm enough with temps even in the low 50’s. Best part: waist band come up nice and high.

No rolling or falling down. Very happy with my purchase and will buy more.

If you’re looking for a workhorse pair of tights then you’ve found your mark. Opaque? Check. High-waisted? Check. Durable? Check. I wear these nearly every day for my office job.

I bought these last season in the gray & black. When they were still $89. 95. I would not pay $100+ for them. They are baggy, especially in the crotch area which looks really strange so i only wear them with tunic tops.

They get stretched out after just putting them on for one wear & the only thing that helps is washing them again. Washing them, even when following care instructions & turning them inside out to wash they are pilling SO bad, it looks awful.

And I’ve only worn them for one winter thus far. My first pair I got previous season (2019) are significantly thicker than the newer ones from 2020. Significantly warmer too. They are still wicked pilled & awful looking as well.

Better off buying the cheap ones & replacing them every year unless you like the pilled pants look. Quality has gone down & price has increased. Very disappointing, LL Bean. Was really hoping these $90 (now $100) pants would hold up for at least a couple years.

I cant even return them because the pilling was considered normal wear & tear. Theres no way the amount of pilling these pants have is normal for one season. Would not buy again, especially with the price increase.

These fleece tights are very warm and suitable for most outside activities in 35-40+ degrees. The outer material has definitely been improved, over previous versions. However, these tights have a serious problem with pilling.

This is the second pair I’ve bought, hoping that LL Bean would have addressed the issue, as several other people have mentioned it in their reviews. My fleece tights pill all along the side seams, on both legs.

I have to use a pill “shaver” to keep them looking decent. For $100+?? Also, why are the tights more baggy in the thighs and tighter in the calves? I am 5’5″ and weigh 133lbs, so my thighs are on the slim side.

When I buy tights, I expect they will fit like tights, all the way up. For $100+, I would like to see a better product from LL Bean, as it is usually my online go-to for winter clothing.

I will start with the positive: LL Bean stood by their promise of quality and took my return back without complaint, not even charging me the return shipping. The quality on the black fleece leggings was terrible.

Fabric was thin, weirdly shiny on the surface, and not stretchy. The workmanship was poor, too. The waistband was sewn crooked and was huge. I have the same pants in green, four or five years old, in the same size as the black pair and am really sad that I could not keep the new pair.

Thank you LL Bean, though, for your good customer support. I hope you are able to reissue these leggings in the future. My advice would be to cut your losses and dump this batch.

Redrew a large got a medium. Returned and ordered a large and got extra large! I think they must just grab a pair and order is filled! Color was good though

These tights are comfortable to wear and have a sturdy feel to them. Likely to become my go-to basic tights from now on. Swedish Stockings also encourages you to send old tights to them for the recycling program they’re developing.

The only downside is they come in a plastic pocket inside the cardboard package.

Quality product with a fair price attached of course ! My most important feature was color ~ Outstanding!!
