20 Best Tile Cleaner Solution (2022 Updated)

Our kitchen floor consists of 18″ x 18″ tiles in which the grout mix had an additive that supposedly sealed it. However, it didn’t do much and the grout became dirty looking and stained even though we cleaned it at least once per week.

It got so bad; I finally had to purchase an acid base grout cleaner to clean it properly. I spent an entire day on my hands and knees using an oversized stiff brush a little larger than a toothbrush to get it clean.

It did look good when it was done. But, what a backbreaking chore! Unfortunately, I procrastinated sealing it and the grout once again reverted back to an eyesore. I received the new Hoover Renewal Tile & Grout cleaner hoping it would help, although I was skeptical as I had tried several different pretty powerful cleaners that did almost nothing.

Using my One Power cordless scrubber with the new formula, the results were better, but not that much better. A few days later I repeated the process and yet another slight improvement. In both instances, my One Power mode was set on econ.

The third time, I decided to experiment using a little different approach. With the One Power mode on full power, I wet the floor more than normal doing a much larger area to let it soak for a few minutes.

Then back to the starting area, to vacuum with slow deliberate strokes, making sure my strokes were vertical with the grout, not perpendicular across some on them. It paid off! The grout looked like it had when it was new.

In my opinion, overall, this is a fantastic product. The floor & grout were clean and the kitchen smelled wonderfully clean and fresh. No chemical or cheap perfume type odor. Now that the grout is clean, I can resume my normal cleaning routine to keep it that way.

No more scrubbing the floor with a toothbrush! And, oh yes, I still plan to seal it. soon.

After trying the wood restorer and was immediately blown away with the results, I had to go back for more! I ordered the Big Job Wood Restorer kit and wanted to give the enzyme cleaning system a try.

I was incredibly pleased and impressed with this product. I chose to use this along with the No Scrub Tile & Grout Everyday Cleaner. In my experience, I find if Rejuvenate Products are used as instructed, I noticed a definite difference.

The enzyme system difference is more visible the next day, subtle but a clear difference. It’s not a presto change-o difference if that’s what you’re looking for. However, in my experience, as I routinely use the grout cleaner when needed and the No Scrub Tile & Grout everyday cleaner as instructed, the enzymes do work, and it visibly brightened my stone floors in my kitchen and both bathrooms.

My negative is the gallon is way too expensive! I’m unfortunately out of product right now and wanted to buy the Gallon Grout Deep Cleaner, but not at that price, NO WAY! I will admit, I also used the Marble, Stone, and Slate cleaner during the week for quick clean-ups to preserve the Enzyme cleaning system for my weekly deep cleaning.

Not sure if it interrupts the enzyme cleaning system, but it didn’t seem to. I hate to use my regular household cleaners until my order arrives. However, I am excited to start over again!.

I have tried the overnight application and with the grout cleaner brush nothing works. I should have seen the reviews before buying. In fact lysol bowl cleaner or vim works much better then this. This is really expensive and no result at all.

It was supposed to be the strongest cleaner on the shelf. It was moderately effective on my kitchen floor which was only slightly discolored. Needs a lot of elbow grease and effort even to remove some of the dirt.

Vim works much better.

Recently we ran out of the Bona Hard-Surface Floor Cleaner and happened to get the new and improved version. Don’t waste your money! It streaks and leaves a sticky film and the With the new and improved formula, the floor is no longer shiny.

It is now dull and shows prints. The old stuff worked great! With the new and improved formula you are to use a damp mop which gets the floor too wet no matter how much you wring out the Bona microfiber mop, plus it still leaves the floor dull, streaked and sticky.

Bring back the old formula and I’ll give it a 10!.

The Bona Hard-Surface Floor Cleaner (Antibacterial Formula) is a great cleaning product and very useful nowadays. This formula contains 2. 4% hydrogen peroxide as its active ingredient, which is highly effective against most household bacteria, mold/fungus, and some viruses.

Following the instructions on the bottle, the kitchen floor was sprayed and left wet for 10min before wiping. The spray cleaned very effectively, leaving no streaks or discoloration on the tile floor (and kitchen counters, stove, oven door), and no residue/stickiness/film on any surfaces it encountered.

It even seemed to cut through grease quite well, off the stovetop after cooking bacon!!! The spray has a mild odor of a cleaning agent, not offensive or excessively strong, and left the kitchen smelling freshly cleaned.

Being a daily-use cleaner, no noxious odor is very important and this product seems to be great for this purpose. All in all this Bona spray was effective and worked great!.

I bought this cleaner to clean my tile floors because my understanding is that it’s a neutral cleaner. When the professional floor cleaning company came out to clean them, he showed me a crazy amount of film he had to work to get up.

This is the only cleaner I use. What should have only taken the company a couple hours now will take the entire day. And I have to spend extra money to have the film removed. Terrible because I have two large jugs of this stuff.

I’m so pleased with this multi-purpose foam cleaner. I have well water. Not only do I have well water but it’s extremely hard water. The hard water stains build up fast in the bathrooms and kitchen sink.

I was very surprised that I could see it working right when I sprayed it on my glass shower doors. I didn’t need to let it set in or scrub it. The hard water stains literally just disappeared as I was spraying.

That right there made me a believer and now I’m hooked. The worst is the ring that the water leaves in my toilet. I normally have to scrub it with pumice stone it builds up so quickly. Again it started working right away on the ring in the toilet bowl.

I now have a bottle in both bathrooms. As well as under the kitchen sink. Even though I clean and dry around it. Somehow hard water stains still form around it. The best part is there is no overwhelming chemical smell.

It’s just a slight pleasant scent.

Product worked well. At first use I was impressed but when doing a side by side cleaning using Viper Venom there was an obvious difference between the two products. The Viper overall cleaned easier and looked better.

GroutMaster does save money and it does do the job but not quite as good as other product.

I used grout master for an old tile floor at a gym with lots of traffic. After my first attempt it took a lot of dirt out but needed more. I came back the next day and hit it again at a higher dilution.

Again it came out good but considering how much I used I’d say it’s not that different than using viper venom or other products. Only difference is the cost. I feel this stuff goes a longer way but you need more to achieve good results.

Maybe it was the floor. maybe I should have used an acid etch as it was an old floor. I’d like to give it another try to see if I feel differently. It also leaves a pretty good layer of haze so make sure you flush and nutrealize.

I have spent so much money on grout cleaners. Most of them do not work. This product, it does! I just spray on the grout, lightly scrub using a grout brush (you can also buy those on a stick so you do not have to bend down) and let it sit for a few minutes and I mop up with clean water.

I am going to do sections at a time, but I have finally found a grout cleaner that actually works with less effort and time!.

This was advertised as the magic to renew old grout, unfortunately it did not deliver. Initially when it first arrived in early may ,I was eager to use, so I began with a test area. I used in heavy soiled area and not so heavy soiled are, using liberally on both areas, after scrubbling both areas with a grout brush there was no difference.

It was not super-expensive , but it returned it anyway that’s how disappointed I was.

This product is unbelievably easy, and turned our 20 year old tan grout from yucky black to original color with a little elbow grease for about 30 seconds! It’s not toxic smelling, and fast-acting! I have gone through 4 bottles and just re-ordered more to finish the downstairs! Also bought the sealer which will be our next job! Many shower cleaners have crazy scents and I’m afraid to use them because of their ingredients. This however, will tell you another story. I used this Shower Cleaner by Granite Gold on the walls of my shower.

It works very effectively in removing all the gunk and build up. The scent is that of a simple cleaning agent. The only downside I found was that I had to really rub hard to clean the area very well.

Just make sure to adequately spray the cleaner onto the surface. I like that it doesn’t require using water and just directly sprays the cleaner onto the surface. It’s super easy to use. The bottle size is good too that could last you a few months at least.

I used this product on the grout in my bath tube / shower area, following the directions exactly. After two applications, nothing has changed. Scrubbing after the second attempt did nothing. I’ll keep doing it until the container is used up.

We clean floors commercially and found ourselves asked to clean 10,000 square feet of the new textured Armstrong non-slip floors. We needed a quality cleaner that did not need to be rinsed, obviously, as these floors need to be cleaned frequently.

So very thankful to have found this Armstrong cleaner made for these floors! It cleaned beautifully with a commercial mop and with our low speed floor machine. Contract work made doable and our load decreased.

This product is the best mopping product. It is litterly “Once N Done”. Has a fresh smell and really does the job. I have been buying from Lowe’s in a larger size. Glad Walmart has the smaller size.

This is not an easy-to-find product (at least near us). But, it is what we prefer to use to clean our tile shower. Thankfully Do It Best made it very easy for us to order and have it shipped free to a local Do It Best hardware store.

I bought this originally to use in my bathroom reno; however, I used it just to see what would happen when prepping my aluminum siding for paint. WOW! I “mopped” it on with one coat and then rinsed after a couple of minutes and it took it down to the aluminum right where it needed to be.

It is wonderful! I wish I could find it in a larger size.

It’s OK at cleaning tiles and grout, but don’t expect a miracle as plenty of scrubbing still is necessary. My main complaint is the awful chemical smell that made me feel dizzy and nauseated despite adequate ventilation.

Due to the health hazard I therefore cannot recommend this product.

This product is really magical. I couldn’t believe how quickly the stains, water marks, and soap scum vanished. I sprayed it on, let it sit for a few minutes, and then wipe away all of the old filth with a scrubbing brush.

I have no problems whatsoever with this bathroom cleanser. I was hesitant to purchase it because of the reviews here. I spray it on the tub or sink surface, leave it for a few minutes before wiping it down and rinsing.

It doe a much better job than the chemical-laden product I had been previously using. I even use it in the toilets. Granted, smell is strong, but you do rinse it away and then it eventually dissipates.

I do wish it smelled more like the lavender cleaner, however, figure it is a small price to pay for a clean cleaning product.

Wow, I’m super impressed by this cleaner! I love Mrs Meyers scents, but I’m super picky about my cleaning supplies. Because I haven’t been able to find my regular shower cleaner for over a year now, I thought I’d give this a try, but really was not expecting much aside from a pleasing scent.

The scent is actually a little funky, but still better than most shower cleaners. However. it works amazingly well! It gets soap scum off better than most products I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a LOT). I usually scrub, then still have to use my fingernails to scrap every spec off, but not with this one.

I have a laminate kitchen floor but I don’t typically buy a floor cleaner specifically for it so I didn’t anticipate seeing any difference. I also tend to keep my expectations low on lightweight cleaning tools because my kids leave such a wake of destruction, including dried food and debris around the stools that my older kids snack at as well as the high chair area.

So when I started using this and it was leaving a clear path I was genuinely impressed. I was able to clear nearly the entire floor fairly quickly, and just left the worst of it to soak then swiped back over it at the end to finish up.

I already really enjoy using this system because it saves a lot of trouble in getting the mop bucket out and filled and wringing and drying with a regular mop – which I still do at times. But I think between this and my vac mop I might finally be able to eliminate the other process.

I’m glad to see other solutions being offered and look forward to trying more. If the experience might be anything like this i’ll be first in line.

I have the Swiffer Wet Jet at my home, and it is the best to clean our hardwood floor. I love it. It is easy to use and does its job perfectly. Now this refill makes me more satisfied with product, as it is so easy to use.

Just re,move the previous solution and replace it with this refill directly onto the mop. No filling bottles and the chances of spillage. And the mop is ready to use again. Simple, effective and wonderful!.

I love swiffer wetjet, its so much easier than getting out a mop and bucket no matter how big the job especially such a time saver for those of us who are busy. I love all the refills they have a good smell and leave your floors clean and shiny, I was really happy to see thet came out with one just for vinyl and laminate it works great on my kitchen and bathroom floors.

Not to mention that the swiffer wetjet is very convient and easy for anyone to use but also very durable, I bought mine 16 years ago when I bought my house and it still working as good as new. Never had any problems with my wetjet its probably one of the best purchases I’ve made.

I have been using this product for over 5 or 6 years now. When I first got it I was a little bit hesitant because a lot of times products promise things that they can’t deliver on. However, I love this product.

I totally, 100% recommend this to anyone who wants a clean kitchen. It gets tough stains off your counters and stove top, and those stains that you have difficulty with just spray it on and let it sit for a little while respray and wipe it down.

Most of the time I can use this product with a paper towel and it works perfectly, but on some occasions for the tougher stuff I need to use a scrub. Nevertheless, for the price and the smell even though which I also enjoy of this product totally recommend.

I purchased this on a whim one day because I love the Lysol brand. It’s amazing! I love the foaming aspect. The smell is not my favorite but its pleasant and I actually liked it a lot at first but as time has passed, it just didn’t grow on me, but I don’t hate it either.

More importantly, it cleans REALLY good. My home is older and we rent, and there are some areas of the bathroom that I’ve literally never been able to get the soap scum up, especially in the sink and around the drains, and this foaming bleach cleaner does the job easily.

I spray and let the foam sit for a few minutes and it wipes off in seconds. The bleach is quite strong, but I prefer stronger bleach cleaners in my home.

The grout on our floors were never sealed tiles were installed about 8 years ago grout is about a medium grey color. Well i have 4 small dogs that have accidents I wear my shoes in my home the grout got very dirty.

I seen a you tube video on cleaning grout it showed how to make a tool using a oxo good grip soap dispensing palm brush it has a hole in the center the you get a carriage bolt nut and washer put bolt nut washer onto the brush bought the tilelab tile and grout cleaner I got both the gallon jug and the1 quart spray bottle it did not say how much coverage started my cleaning sprayed on grout lines full strength small area at a time waited 15 minutes used the brush I had made with a cordless drill scrubbed grout then tile.

I can say it worked better than I thought it would tile and grout look brand new I am more than happy. Coverage all I can say is it goes a long way did not need the gallon jug. I was amazed with this product but the brush on the drill helped.

I do not own a sponge or string mop but my non-plugged-in steam mop serves as a tool-mop when I need it to. I have ceramic tile in my kitchen, dinette, both bathrooms which I was able to clean with just a single dose (2-4 ounces – I used 2oz as my floors were not real dirty) mixed with a gallon of warm/hot water in a bucket.

The mopping went quickly (as I followed instructions and sweep any loose dirt up first). I did need to change my mop-towelette (they are small) once but no real delay there. The solution did a good job at this light mop job and so far it seems to be drying quickly and steak-free.

My problem is that I don’t really mop this way anymore. I did not plug in my steam-mop so it was like a normal towel/sponge mop and other than not being able to squeeze excess water out, it worked well.

But, when I was shifting the bucket to carry to dump the leftover/dirty water, I sloshed and had to get out a big towel to clean up. Also, while I waited for drying process, I had to go barefoot not to leave shoe-residue on still wet floors.

So, in the end, it was not this product but this mopping method that I found disagreeable. Your ‘Squeeze and mop’ stuff works better for me (and uses barely over 2 oz overall) without the bucket, water and water disposal.

So, for my mopping needs it works better for me. But, for people with large areas (huge kitchens, whole-house tiling and/or stone, the bucket method by the batch may be what they do and this would be a good way for them to go.

I would recommend this product for those friends who still use the string or sponge mop method of mopping.
