20 Best Tiles San Francisco (2022 Updated)

I needed to find a replacement for a discontinued 20+ year old Armstrong acoustical ceiling tile. After speaking to a Kanopi rep and sharing the current tile details and pictures, he recommended the Georgian tile as the closest replacement.

The tile was delivered in good shape and within the provided time frame. This was a cost effective and suitable replacement that met the expectation of the site and me.

As a facilities manager, finding matching ceiling tiles can be a trail. I went to my usual places to find a match to replace damaged tiles and was unable to. I went online found Kanopi. My matching ceiling tiles were right on the page.

Ordered it and had it within a week. That is awesome! Keep up the good work Kanopi.

Nothing wrong with these tiles except very poor packaging resulting in broken tiles, almost every single edge was damaged. Packaging consists of a thin cardboard “ring” around the edges of the pack of ceiling tiles with a thin layer of plastic wrap.

As the tiles are extremely easy to break and/or damage this packaging is unsatisfactory.

We Fell in love with this tile for the backsplash for our remodeled kitchen. The unique varied colors are a perfect complement to our cabinets and countertops. It arrived within a week of ordering well-packaged with every tile unbroken.

These are wonderful. Only one broken tile in the entire bunch. That’s quality shipping at its best!Have only been able to install 1/2 of the total project. Going up and around kitchen window best with two people.

Never ordered tile online before but a first for us and our remodel project! This was a special color I could not find at the home stores and thought we would give it a try! Went off a review. Most of the boxes came intact (really well packed minus delivery maybe slamming a box around) and only had a mishap of some broken tiles but Build.

com took care of a speedy replacement! Love the color, will be stunning in our new guest bathroom. You will not be disappointed with this tile, very impressed! Quality, price and tile finish 5 stars.

They are beautiful and will look wonderful as a small backsplash behind my bathroom sink. They are 3/8″ thick. To me they are a luxury item since they are so expensive with only 32 in a box and they are 2 7/8″ X 5 7/8″.

The description of them says they are 3×6″. Guess they are counting the grout lines. Suppose to cover about 4 square feet.

The tile is beautiful but rather expensive. Some of the tiles arrived with broken and chipped ends, though the packing seemed thorough. The tiles have very different finishes on many of them. I’m not sure yet if I like that part of them.

The spritzy blue glaze on them is much heavier on some than on others. This may turn out looking fine—not sure until they are installed. It may or may not add to the “handmade” look. I may add to this review when I have installed them.

Loved this tile! Exactly what I was looking for and it arrived great. One set of the tiles arrived not in box but it was all bubble wrapped and was all intact. Unfortunately, the color was just a bit off from our countertops and with our lighting it had a pink/beige hue in most of the kitchen.

Where we had natural light it looked great but we don’t have much natural light so I have to send it back. No fault of the tile itself would still highly recommend just check color.

I?m so happy with this tile in my kitchen!! I was having a hard time finding a white that wasn?t stark white, but still a bright white with some texture. This is the perfect match. It made it so nice to be able to order samples and see the tiles in person.

Beautiful soft cream tile with a subtle sheen. Installed along with small white hex and soft gray tones in a bathroom remodel. Best decision we made! Painted the baseboard trim to match the tile to visually extend the wall height.

Using this tile on the floor. It has a casual, slightly industrial feel and imparts a calming atmosphere to the space. I tend to find hexagonal tiles boring, but this mix of patterns is great and added accent tiles (randomized texture and color) to make the pattern more interesting.

This is for a bathroom renovation still in progress.

This tile looks great in our 120+ year old home- like it might have been the original floor tile. I would say it isn’t for everyone- if you are looking for bright and shiny new looking floor, you may be disappointed with the appearance of this tile- it has some intentional discoloration to give it an aged look.

It cuts beautifully; not a single chip or broken piece for the whole project, so we have several extras. If you usually over-order to account for some breakage, you may need fewer tiles than you think.

Trying to come up with some other place to use these in our house! Maybe the pantry could use a new floor.

Very heavy, high quality tile. I am not sure how easy they will be to cut and install but I love the tile. They will be installed in our master bath. Vintage look as I expected. UPDATE: Our bath has finally been renovated and we love these tiles.

We used white beveled subway tiles on the walls as contrast. We used Polyblend Charcoal grout on the walls and Polyblend Pewter grout on the floor. It’s a small master bath so excuse the photos. The shower glass has also not been installed yet.

I like that this is a true white and has a slight iridescent sparkle (as mentioned by another review). It is a good size tile, and the quality is there. I ordered a full size sheet to work with my designs.

I am not sure about using it in a high traffic area (floors esp) since it has easily flaked off on some of the edges. However, it is grout free in the sheet, so the grout would like;y help protect it once installed.

I can tell it is a softer material though because of this. It would look beautiful on a shower wall.

I have installed a large amount of tile over the years. I love natural stone mostly due to the variations in the tile which creates its uniqueness. When selecting tile, I try to get it from the same lot so although the colors vary, the variations aren’t too drastic and the room comes together still.

When I received the 30 square feet of the Carrera Marble (for a half bath) there were sheets of pure gray tiles and pure white with few of the white with gray veins, which is typical for this type of marble.

I’m a large room it wouldn’t be a huge issue by in a smaller bathroom, it is hard to hide the extreme variation. In the end it looks good but not great.

I bought these for the shower floor of our new shower to blend with dark floor tile and gray subway walls. They are pretty; a lot of variation in color. I was hoping for more dark veining and artistry in the layout.

However having a less than stellar tiler, the floor still came out beautiful and I’m in love with my new shower. Speed of delivery, price and packaging were excellent. I didn’t see a single damaged tile.

I have a normal size house (1300 sq. ft. 2 bed/2 bath). Because the living room / kitchen is just an open space, I’m not having any upper cabinets (I just have one big wall cabinet which opens up the entire space and provides plenty of storage).

I needed a tile that would make a “statement. ” O!M!G! This tile is just STUNNING!! You walk in the front door and BAM!! It’s beautiful! The colors are kind of muted so you’re not blinded, but deep and rich enough that it’s.

(I don’t know) just enough. One word of caution – measure correctly. I don’t measure anything which makes my GC crazy, and when I had to order more, I bought the wrong size and the pattern didn’t line up.

Tile looks hand painted and has so much character. Put it in my girls bathroom and laundry room. Texture is matte and very good for a bathroom floor. It is also very forgiving in terms of being able to see any dirt.

I only wished that build. com had a recommended tile grout color. I ended up needing to contact the manufacturer for a recommendation.

We purchased a porcelain tile for our hallway shower walls. It chipped when the installer had to cut it, don’t think that he used a wet saw to cut it. Love the tile, just didn’t like the tile job that he did.

Didn’t have an edger tile to go around the tub either so had to use a metal trim. Didn’t caulk around it, until we asked him to come back to do it because it left a gap between the tile, metal piece, and the wall.

The tile comes uneven. Not recommended. The NFM installer verified this.

Love, love, love this tile! Very clean lines and excellent color (we got the green). This will add a splash of color to an otherwise black and white bath. The tile is very thick, so I’m sure it will be a little more challenging to cut, but it’s going to bring my design together perfectly!.

love this tile. it has an antique feel to it, solid with depth of color and a matte finish. this tile is to be mixed with the white Kings Manhattan tile in a large living area. we ordered a box of each to move the pattern around the house to live with it for a while.

so far it is on the top of our selection list.

When we renovated our vacation cabins kitchen, this tile was the jumping off place for the entire design! I love it! Its beautiful, functional and durable. We used it as our backsplash, but you can also use it as flooring.

Gorgeous tile with a hint of grey. I love the shimmery effect the glaze has.

The tile went way beyond my expectation! seeing it installed made the whole space come together, a fun unique pattern that goes with any color palette. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for some fun in any room.

One item to note if you are a DIY’er you will need a large tile saw since most saws do not fit the larger tile format. Homedepot has a great rental option!.

We have a very small powder room and wanted a striking accent. This tile was perfect. We only needed 6 tiles do do the entire floor. Its hard to install due to the weight the tiles will carry when buttered, but being we only laid 6 it was quick and worth it! There is a slight gray sponging over the pattern that looks very computer generated to me, but I still liked the overall look for this area in our house.

These are exactly what I was looking for. Love the color and the patterns. Really made a statement in my powder room. We installed ourselves – first time laying tile – hexagon tiles aren’t the easiest for a first time project.

I do recommend you order more than the standard 10% overage. Because of the pattern, I was not able to use any of my off cuts. I was super lucky because what I ordered was exactly what I ended up needing after breaking only 1 tile.

Absolutely fantastic tile! The relief is excellent, and colors pure and accurate. I’ve been wanting these tiles for some time, and if you have ever been to Barcelona, you know why. Worth every penny, quality perfect.

I chose this floor over 18 months ago before we began building our house. Even though it is black it makes the room look larger! I love the magical pattern – can look farmhouse fresh or industrial or modern chic.

The color is gorgeous! Just what I expected. The tile is stamped Made in Spain on the back and has a beautiful handmade look to it. This is not smooth uniform tile. Has little imperfections that give you the character and look of handmade tile.
