Phil Helmuth’s book “Play Poker Like the Pros” is a great book for beginners, amatuers, and pro’s alike. Although much of his book is geared for new comers to the game, Phil’s insight on Poker Stradegy is great for anyone who loves the game.

This is the first Poker book I ever purchased, and it improved my game by leaps and bounds. Although I’ve come to find my own style, as he would recommend, I still use several fundamentals that Helmuth wrote on.

This book is a MUST READ any poker fanatic, I couldn’t lay it down! It will helps you poker knowledge & wallet grow greatly! And as always may your cards be live and your pots be monsters!.

Im just a beginner with dreams of someday being a poker legend. This is a nice book in my view. The main thing I like is that this book quickly teaches you how important things like position,reading ur opponents, and chip stack(yours & your opponents) are.

You can’t go wrong reading this book!!! Now I’ve taken what I learned from this book and moved on to more advanced books, but reading this book FIRST was right, as I am now a better/smarter player because of this book.

the book provides both beginner play and advanced play to make it valuable read more then once, actually numerous times as your skills develop.

I bought this book as a beginning poker player who is starting a home poker group with people who never played poker before. The book was great and has helped me choose which games to start with and what options there are for us down the road.

It also has tips on improving our play which we will use later. This is a great resource for beginning and novice poker players.

It looks tough, but enticing enough and I will learn from this book…thank you!!!

I am a beginner poker player and have been watching alot of poker on t. v. and wanted a referance guide to some of the terms that sound different. This pocket referance guide is just that. I enjoyed reading it and with it being pocket size can slip it in my purse and go to it fast to get information.

The only thing that I did not like about this referance guide is that it mentioned different types of poker such as stud, whaich was a little to take out of the context. Over all, for the beginner, I would recommend this book.

The plastic tray holding the chips was torn upon opening it and a big piece of plastic sticking up. The outside of the case is pretty good.

The case has dents, scratches also the chips plastic is partially open. I did not get a feeling that i am using a new set. It definitely feels like used ChipSet. I would probably return this, I was planning to gift this to someone, but now I cant as it looks second hand.

Anyways over all disappointing product.

I was excited about the price and skeptical about the product when I purchased this. The chips are heavy and easy to handle but just after three nights of playing you can see scratches on the chips. Also, the case itself is a bit flimsy.

The small rivets or aluminum strip that holds the case in tact will eventually need replacing. After opening/closing I started to notice they started becoming lose. Ok product for price paid.

This thing has a great look and great feel. But mine doesn’t have the spade on the inside of the top. I wouldn’t want it there, but just an FYI after looking at the image. A piece metal on the outside of the one I received was a little raised which immediately caught my attention, sort of like it got caught on something & pulled-up.

I haven’t tried to hammer it back in place yet, but probably will. With a cloth between the case and hammer, of course! The keys are flimsy & don’t work very well. They’re definitely cheap & little, like those in a child’s diary.

Not truly for keeping someone out. The poker pieces, cards and all items inside have a nice feel to them, too. Overall very nice item.

Th is poker set is more than I’d hoped for, especially at the low price! The carrying case is well- made, even comes with a couple of keys for locking. Also comes with 2 decks of standard Vegas-style cards.

But my favorite parts are the chips. These poker chips (300) are a heavy weight and well made. May be made of some kind of composition plastic, but feel and “sound” like the casino clay poker chips we remember.

Perfect set for “Poker Night” You won’t be disappointed.

This is the fifth card set I have brought. I brought one for myself years ago and now when each child or family and friends moves out I send them one of these. It’s a great set and for the really serious card players, or large group you may just need extra chips which they sell by them selfs.

I myself have had many hours of fun with my own set and hours of fun on the ones I gave as gifts.

The content is amazing for intermidiete players. Good quality in terms of content AND condition. Overall, good buy, and it is worth the money!

This is advanced poker theory. While this book will certainly make already good poker players even better poker players, it won’t do anything for beginners or intermediate players. This book addresses a lot of the theoretical underpinnings of the game that are rooted in intermediate maths and advanced game play psychology which will not mean much to people whose poker game isn’t “there yet”.

Before buying this book, you must be honest with yourself about where your game is. You wouldn’t expect 3rd Graders to enjoy reading Faust no more than you can expect beginning or intermediate players to really grasp this book.

With that said, if your game is “there”- if you are already a consistently winning online or B&M poker player- this book is one of the few “must reads” in the genre of poker publications. I made the mistake and bought this book way, way too early in my journey as a poker player.

I gave it away, since it meant nothing to me. Now, years later, as a winning player whose game is immeasurably more advanced than it was when I first got this book, I understand and comprehend it’s value.

This game is a fantastic game. Do not let the reviews stating that there is “no game here and it is completely random and luck based” fool you! This game is all about seeing who can form the best three poker hands based on drafting blocks with card faces on them.

The first part of the game is stacking lovely wooden blocks in a pyramid creating a stack of blocks which you will draft from the top during the second half of the game. Now at its surface this could be seen as “random building” but the more you play this game you will understand that building the pyramid has underlying subtle depth such as putting numbers that could form a straight near each other, or making sure to put one of your blocks near your opponents so they don’t have a whole slew of blocks in a row that they can see.

The second half of the game involves drafting blocks from the top of the pyramid down into your three poker hands which again if taken at face value seems basic. But yet again the simple rules mixed with the drafting from the pyramid result in a depth of choices.

Deciding which hand to assign your block to has many choices in of itself. Do I create two really good hands and not worry about the other? Do I only put a few blocks in each hand to keep my opponent guessing on what the end hand result will be? Do I draft a random tile that I think he is planning to take based on the blocks available? This creates a dynamic tension that builds into the final end game If you want even more options there is also a scoring based game where depending on the type of poker hand you have will score you a number of different points that you will compare to your opponents each round and then the difference is the winners score for that round playing to a certain number Now this long review suggests that this game is difficult to learn which is not the case.

This game is perfect for non gamers. I have taught this to my dad and uncles and every single one of them has been hooked by this game and have purchased it themselves. It’s quick to learn but offers those depth of choices that keeps gamers like me coming back for more.

This is such an awesome idea for a game. If you know how to play poker you will learn this game in about two minutes. It really is a GREAT TWO PLAYER game. There are not a lot of really good two player games out there but this is one of them for sure.

The blocks are great to handle and the game is simple but very fun. The wife and I love to play this. currently it is easily in our top five games.

How does anyone normal human remove the lighter from the poker with their bare hands? Is there an ancient ritual I was not taught by my elders? A spell only passed down through witches? It has to be magic because the only thing that got my clipper out was breaking the top of it off and removing it the hard way.

All it would take is some simple engineering by putting a hole in the poker where the refill spot is on the clipper and the issue would never exist again. Sincerely, Your Friendly Neighborhood Herb Enjoyer.

I have one for all my lighters, Bics and Clippers both. The only thing I would change would be for the case to cover all the plastic on the lighters. It would be nice too if there was a small hole to feed hemp wick through by the flame.

I drilled a hole myself and it works perfectly. Even without my suggestions I would highly recommend these to everyone. It would also be nice to have a tie-dyed Toker Poker. Thank you for listening to your customers and releasing one in yellow.

I love the smaller size of the Toker Poker Clipper! I’m new to the clipper lighter myself, the fact that it’s refillable , add a toker poker to it and. Great quality product that comes in clutch wherever you are.

People always ask, “what is that thing?? It’s so cool!”. Damn right it is! Oh and it makes for an awesome gift for your toking buddies!.

I really like them; nice quality. But they’re a Christmas gift for my husband, so his opinion is what really matters. But I’m sure he’ll Love them because it’ll be perfect for his “poker games”.
