18 Best Tire Valve Caps (2022 Updated)

Ordered these last fall/over winter. Finally installed them this spring (car is squeezed into a corner of the garage over winter). They fit as one would expect, had to fiddle a bit with 1 of 4 to get the threads started.

Look good at normal viewing distances. Mission accomplished. Kind of expensive for what they are, but should last until someone steals them/I remove one and forget to reinstall it.

Wanting to add a pinch of style to my wheels, I picked up a set of these a while back. The price seemed a bit expensive, but I figured they’d be worth the added style. When they arrived I was quickly disappointed with the construction of them.

I’d used generic chrome stem caps before, and while they had a nice metal look to them, once they were in hand it was easy to tell that they were plastic. These Mustang caps were the same way. Nonetheless, I liked the design and put them on my wheels.

Though, after putting them on, part of the metal stem is still exposed, making it look sort of messy when someone gets close enough to examine the caps. I had these caps for a month or so, until one day returning to the parking lot to find them all nicked.

Had to dig out my old caps to replace them. Altogether, I wouldn’t recommend getting these. -$15 for a set of 4 -Don’t cover the entire stem cap -Plastic Construction -Take note that they can be easily stolen For the same price you can buy a large bag of plain metal/chrome styled plastic stem covers online and get a similar look.

The extras also mean you can replace stolen/worn ones. While these caps look very nice, they’re not worth the price with their plastic construction and poor fit.

Honestly bought these to get my order eligible for free shipping. Glad I did, as they added a nice detailed touch to accompany the new rims. They feature an o-ring on the inside of the cap and the GT logo matches the factory logo.

Little pricey for caps, but seem to be good quality so far.

The tire valves installed by tire dealers are entry level junk. I have had 2 passenger car valves crack at the base causing a slow leak. The valves were installed on LT rims along with LT tires on my RV.

They were not rated for 80 psi. At least the other 2 valves were the proper ones with a brass tube all the way thru to the inside of the wheel. I think that the TR416 type of valve will not fail in service.

They will be used on my 2 Mercedes S class diesels.

With the Raiders becoming a hot commodity, these valves are now hard to find!! So glad you still have them in stock!! Ill be sure to order more from you again soon…

I have a fairly new car and I had the valve caps that came with it. The air in my tires had a slow leak. My mechanic suggested I get new valve caps. I decided to get these and I’ve had them for a few weeks and noted the air pressure has remained stable in my tires now.

They are keeping the air in them. The others I had, only screwed in 3/4 of the way to the end. These screw in all the way to the end so I can’t screw them down any further. I have a Hyundai Elantra and they fit my car perfectly.

These are easier to take off and on than the ones that came w/the car. If you have a slow leak of air in your tires, you may want to try these. This did the trick for me and have had steady air pressure in my tires since using these.

I have not had to put air in my tires since using these.

These valve caps always come in handy. I have 2 boys who are rough on EVERYTHING abs who also LOSE everything. We have several bikes and the caps always come up missing at any given time. Keeping these around ensures that I want be constantly looking for lost caps, which are very hard to find.

Less time putting air in bike tires while bike are in storage for the winter months.

Somehow we are always losing our valve caps. like seriously. Our car tires, bike tires, etc. There is always one missing here or there. These fit great and work for any tires with a Schrader valve, so they are very useful to have on hand.

They feel sturdy and fit tight. I should probably buy a couple of extra sets!.

I’ve read recent reviews on this product and other metal/steel valve caps. I had to switch out the ones I recently bought because they were all metal. When the metal of the caps react with the metal of our tire stems it becomes corroded and hard to unscrew.

Get these!! They are the improved versions of the old ones. These are lined with plastic on the inside so the metal doesn’t come into contact with your tire stem.

These are very nice, & l’m quite certain they are constructed of some sort of metal. Although, l searched all over the packaging, & even asked the cashier. And still couldn’t find anything for certain, however going by the weight of them.

They are almost certainly made of metal, & not cheesy plastic. They look very nice, & have a useful textured finish, so you can grip them easily for tightening or loosening them.

The Slime barrel valve cap in gunmetal finish adds a nice touch to your alloy wheels, particularly for matching coloured rims. Far better than the default plastic caps, the metal caps provide a more positive grip for removal and don’t interfere with the pressure sensor.

An inexpensive way to add some class no matter the vehicle.

Hard to screw up valve stem caps, but they are nice. O-ring in them, long enough to cover threads, where I’ve seen a few fall short. Put them on a new F-150 as some fine citizen stole one of mine. Would purchase again.

Bling for the beamer. One more set of ///M’s (I think the roadster has 16+ ///M’s on it now). These look nice. BMW OEM in original packaging. These are all plastic with a chrome finish and nice clear window for the ///M.

I was hoping replacing the metal caps the dealer put on would help with a slight wheel imbalance I thought might be from the heavier metal caps and the already mild highway vibration did improve a little.

I take these off and put other caps on when I use wheel cleaner because the instructions say they are sensitive to harsh cleaners; makes sense and is not asking too much.

I love the M badge. They suit my 97 M3 perfectly. They appear flawless and come in a good case so they dont scratch. My only issue is I with they were aluminum. Im sure the plastic is fine (and lighter for all you speed junkies).

Id just like something with a little more integrity.

Purchased one pack of these around 6 months ago. Now they are 20% off and I,d love to get some spares, but seems the 6 shops closest to me have zero stock, and the system won’t let me do a mail order either.

Horrible caps. Did not even use them. Plastic under anodized aluminum. I like most Slime products, these are poor quality. Buy something else.

Anodized aluminum looks nice, just wish these caps where all aluminum since plastic insert seems to break free from aluminum part way too easily. Looks like glue is the next step.

The quality is very good and will dress up your rims The only thing I strongly suggest is that you purchase an electrical grease to put on your valve stems. We use this grease in the trade to stop corrosion because your dealing with two different metals.

Your stems are brass and the caps are aluminum. They will corrode and you won’t get the cap off. This happened to my friend and he had to replace the valve stem.

I got these because they were more money than the ones packed in a 5 pack so I assumed they were stainless or at least good quality. they are chromed plastic with a ford sticker on them. Dollar store stuff here.

They bring a certain bling to your rims. They are made of plastic but for the price they’ll do. So far so good!

Please do not buy these. They will react with your metal valve stems and corrode themselves to the valve stem. While trying to free one from my valve stem, the whole stem broke prompting me to have the whole TPMS valve replaced at a tire shop.

Buy plastic instead.

I live in North East and when I tried to unscrew these caps, I realized the caps had corroded and it took lot of effort to remove the caps. I am going back to the old plastic caps, they last for ever and do not have this problem.

I just purchase a used luxury car and needed four luxury looking value stems. It was great to see that Autozone had an amazing selection. It took me all of three minutes to find exactly what I needed.

These valve stem caps were a great touch with everything else blacked out.

Looks good, originals off and these on very easily. These valve caps look much better than stock.

About as basic a product that one could buy, but they appear to be nicely made of metal and should last a long time. Their shape will help prevent them from rolling away and getting lost while working in a garage.

Price is reasonable as well.

I have found equivalents for much less at Pep Boys or even Walmart. This was an impulse buy for me while I was ordering mats. still I am satisfied with the quality.

They look like good heavy duty caps. really like the bright green top on the caps. This is very useful for remembering which tire is filled with what product. Having several different vehicles I will be using these for sure.

Cap is also of very good quality. GOOD idea !!!.

These caps have a simple clean look. They have a chrome look and have a simple design. Not over the top but have a clean good look to them. They look good against my chrome rims I think better than the black ones.

Give the tires a good look also they are easy to unscrew with the design. It gives you a little more grip when un screwing them.

Overall pleased with my purchase. Not quite as nice or built like my previous caps (which I can’t find anymore) but they are a good substitute none the less and less expensive. They are a perfect fit for my aluminum stems and won’t corrode.

They do, unlike my previous caps, screw down the stem all they way so that is a cosmetic bonus. My last caps were short and went only about half way.

I ordered these Slime Tubeless Tire replacement valves on accident, thinking they were for bikes. They will still get put to good use on a machine that needs them. They come in packs of two, so you even have a backup after making your repair.

Both valves look to be in perfect condition, and with a trusted brand like Slime, I’m sure they’ll perform great.

These tire valves appear to work better than the average tire valves. They are more secure on the tires and quite durable. They are very sturdy as well. I love the design of these valves. This is a great product and I hope they last a lot longer than the ones I was currently using.

First off these screw in from the bottom. I should have looked before cutting into the package, now I cannot return them. Second, the website online shows made by Pilot. When I picked up my order from the store it shows made by X Racing.

I went to another auto store and purchased the ones that screw in from the back.

These Skull valve stem covers are just what I was looking for my 06 Soft tail Harley Davidson. look good and match with all the other skulls I have on the bike.
