These are an extremely good UHP tire for the price/milage warranty and performance. They ride very smooth and highway noise is very quiet on my 2004 Acura TL with OEM Optional 18×8. 5 ASPEC upgraded wheels.
Like others said, they take awhile to warm up but after a few miles the stop and go performance is excellent. Cornering is excellent and balanced but you can feel the tire wall flex a lot more than the Gold Standard Continental ExtremeContacts DWS06 which i think reign supreme in this tire class.
Rain/water drainage is excellent as well an on-par with the DWS06. It is summer right now and I will update my review when we get some ice/snow here in the Pacific Northwest. Also, time will tell how long these last and if they truly will meet their 50K milage warranty or not.
However I am confident they will, as my last set of Nexen tires were rated at 25K and lasted exactly that.
Installed them and drove around 1500 miles on my 2014 E350 4matic w/sport package. At the very beginning, they seemed to be louder then my previous (Nexen N5000) but not for long. After they “warmed up” the ride was magnificent.
Sailing all the way. Super grip, reactive and providing an easy control. Drove them during sunny and rainy conditions, including a big storm. The tires performed great, no “slipping” or hydroplaning, full control over the vehicle.
I have not driven them in snowy or icy conditions thus cannot provide feedback on that. But for sun and rain. they are worth every penny. I would definitely buy them again and suggest them to other drivers.
This is the third set of Nexens I’ve owned and they never cease to impress me. Had this exact type of Nexen (N’fera AU7) on my G37 coupe and the handling and grip were both impressive. Now I have a set on my Q50 and drove them through a very wet, snowy and slushy series of roads for over an hour to get home this morning and they handled incredibly well.
While my car’s AWD definitely helped, that system only kicks in when I lost traction, which didn’t happen often. I credit that very much to these tires. Very impressed with them and will always buy Nexen.

The 4 asymmetric grooves enhance grip and braking performance by draining water effectively out of the tires. The specialized shoulder and rib block help maintain tire stability and steering response when cornering at high speeds.
Price-wise less than Hankook or Kumho (its local competitors). Tire is quiet and supports maintaining a comfortable ride. It is very responsive in dry and wet conditions. There is s light hydroplaning noticeable during the rare combination of extreme downpour, high speeds and light cornering.
However, even then, the tire follows directions instantly, whether turning or braking. The tire even has a built in rim protector ring (meaning the sidewall bulges out a bit to help protecting the rim for those who can’t drive/park etc.
Hard to find. The manufacturer (US headquarter) does not list all sizes available on their website. Dealers (US) advertise them as all-season tires, you have to ask for this specific brand/model/size.
It does exist, as Walmart has it, and advertised it correctly.
I ordered on impulse because I don’t ‘need’ another Enhancer. I wear the Jai sunburst a lot and love it. A while back I had ordered the circle flower enhancer with gold accents to match my Jai flower ring and bracelet but there was no contrast or oxidation so back it went.
Scott must’ve read the reviews and boy this new one doesn’t lack for oxidation! You can clearly see all of the beautiful details. ( wish it had a bit of gold though). I really like that it is at an angle to sit more diamond shaped.
It looks amazing on all of my Jai box chains. This ones a keeper!.

So far, so good. Only had them on for about a week, but I could instantly tell the difference between these Nexen tires and the Good Year Assurance tires that were on the vehicle. First – these tires are virtually silent compared to the Good Year tires.
Next, they handle very well in rain and snow. Impressive quality for this pricepoint. At this point, I would buy them again next time I need tires.
Received them in a timely manner. Took them to Walmart Automotive for mounting. Rough ride, took back to WM Auto to re-balance. Still a rough ride. Took to Firestone for wheel alignment and another re-balance.
Techs there said it took a lot of weights to balance. They implied that the problem may be due to the tires themselves since I didn’t have this issue with the old tires that were the same brand.
I was amazed how fast I received the tires. So far excellent traction in snow. Only con tires have a little more road noise than the previous Nexen N’ Fera RU5 we replaced on suv. Overall I feel I made the right choice on these tires.
