There are many different types of tires for bicycles, and the type of tire you need will depend on the type of bicycle you have and the type of riding you do. For example, road bikes typically have narrower tires than mountain bikes, and mountain bike tires are typically wider than road bike tires.
The width of the tire also affects the rolling resistance, which is the resistance of the tire to rolling on the ground. Narrower tires have less rolling resistance than wider tires.
The tread of the tire also affects the performance of the tire. Tires with a smoother tread are typically faster on paved surfaces than tires with a more aggressive tread. Tires with a more aggressive tread are typically better for off-road riding, as they provide more traction on loose or slippery surfaces.
The pressure of the tire is also an important factor in the performance of the tire. Higher pressure tires typically have less rolling resistance and can be faster on paved surfaces. However, they can also be more susceptible to punctures and flats.
Lower pressure tires provide more comfort and traction on rough surfaces, but can be slower on paved surfaces.

Installation: Adult assembly required. No tools are required but tire levers are recommended. 1. Mount one bead of tire on rim by prying it into rim in one spot. Gradually work it over the rim flange for the rest of the rim’s circumference. 2. Slightly inflate tube to softly round it out. 3. Insert the valve stem through valve stem hole in rim. Push remaining tube into tire cavity. 4. Stating 6 from valve stem, work second d over the rim flange. Use tire lever as needed. 5. Check all the way around the rim’s circumference to make sure that tube is not being pinched between the rim and the tire and that the valve stem is centered in valve stem hole. 6. Inflate tire to recommended pressure (Printed on tire sidewall).
Warnings
Caution: Do not overinflate tubes. Fill tube with floor or hand pump only. Do not use electric gas station air pumps of compressors which can damage the tube. To avoid damage to tires and tubes do not use a screwdriver or other sharp instruments to mount bike tires. Check tires for proper inflation prior to ride for safety and to ensure maximum tire life. Reviews From Real Customers
I bought these because the tires that came with the new bike I bought were too wide for me. These work great.
The Continental Grand Prix 4 Season is a fast road bike tyre that provides plenty of grip throughout the year! Thanks to the DuraSkin fabric, the Continental Grand Prix 4 Season tyre also performs in extreme conditions.
During the Paris-Roubaix race, bikes equipped with DuraSkin are the least likely to get punctured. This road bike tyre is characterised by its excellent wear resistance and is built to last for countless rides.
In addition, the Grand Prix 4 Season offers excellent grip on wet roads and in low temperatures. The Continental Grand Prix 4 Season racing tyre is available in 23, 25, 28 and 32 mm. It can be used in various circumstances and caters to different comfort needs.
The reinforced double Vectran breaker layer increases puncture and tear protection, which makes the Grand Prix 4 Season the absolute best protected tyre in its segment!.
Bell Flat Defense technology provides a protective layer with increased strength and extra puncture resistance. BMX bike tires feature an aggressive, knobby tread for BMX tracks, dirt or pavement. A carbon steel bead allows the tire to be folded without damage for easy storage.
Please give a clue to you “stars rating” ie. which is high or low. lol. The tire is just what I wanted. simple, sturdy and it fits my rim. The price is great when compared to most others and the value of the tire seems to exceed the cost.
With the side knobs of the legendary DHF, which were somewhat widened for even better cornering grip, he has extreme cornering grip. The center knobs have tapered lugs for better acceleration. To the studs improve the transition notches when turning into corners.
A portion of the center rib has a paddle shape, they bury themselves during hard braking and help keep the bike under control. This provides better traction and rolling resistance decreases. And where there is no hose, also decreases the risk of punctures.
MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for the assembly with sealing milk than others “Tubeless Ready” tires. The bulge of our TR tire is completely covered like a real UST tubeless tires with a rubber layer.
Thus, the Schlauchlosmontage is successful for all rims with standard dimensions already at the first inflation and with little liquid. EXO Protection This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires.
It is very tightly woven, lightweight and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tire remains unchanged convincingly good.
MARATHON ALMOTION The next evolutionary phase. Revised tread design, fitted with the latest tire technology. Available as tube type tires with excellent V-Guard puncture protection fabric or state-of-the-art Tubeless Easy technology.
The new Marathon Almotion is safe, fast and agile. The new, powerful ADDIX compound boosts riding performance. Ideal for intensive touring by bike or e-bike (E-25). Anyone who wants to exploit the potential of modern tire technology wholeheartedly rides Tubeless.
Tubeless tires guarantee the lowest rolling resistance while maintaining a very high puncture resistance. Only articles 11654059 and 11654060 are tubeless compatible.
This lol hatchet is awsom! The steel is excellent and it takes and keeps a keen edge. You can’t go wrong getting ones, you will need a can of quick strip to get the blue paint off. Good chopping overtone.
The ultimate long distance runner, this tyre benefits from Continental’s durable carbon black mixture, a well regarded puncture protection system and the DuraSkin -anti-cut fabric. In varying widths of 23mm and 25mm, it’s a durable, tough tyre at a really nice price.
Puncture-Proof Winter Tyre with Advanced Technologies PolyX Breaker Technology: With its PolyX Breaker, Continental bring PKW know-how to the bike tyre arena – Polyester has been used successfully for years in car tyres and been tried and tested many times.
The extremely resistant polyester fibre is woven tightly to make a very high fabric density, which not only makes the breaker more resistant to foreign objects but also resistant to punctures. The rolling resistance is not affected either by the PolyX Breaker.
DuraSkin: Tyres with DuraSkin sidewall protection have to roll with the punches. These tyres are used in the harshest conditions. On messenger bikes, epic travel bikes crossing continents without wearing through and in professional cycling, tough tests such as Paris-Roubaix.
The high-quality polyamide fabric reliably protects the casing of the tyre and protects it from the worst conditions. These tyres stand out with their brown sidewalls and the slick natural rubber tread is designed to perform well in wet/wintery conditions.
No flats on 1st pair of 28mm GatorSkin tires. On 2nd pair the store mechanic install what may’ve technically been correct and same size tube in it, 700c x 28mm tube, but the tube kept flating after long rides, not during the ride.
No sign of tire damage at all and no bubble leaks found from tube. Located my old tubes; they were smaller 700c x 23-25mm which fit the rim perfect inflated. Put the 23-25mm tubes in and had no “tube” flats ever again.
Excess tube must’ve been pinching the stem or something. Only other flat in 10 years came when a truck must have shot a large roofing staple hitting my tire wall going all the way thru creating loud clicking sound suddenly of staple hitting part of brakes hardware.
I’ve been using these tires for many years and have found them to be quite reliable. Yes, I’ve had a few flats, but I’d like to think that number would been much higher had I not been using the Gatorskins.
I’ve been able to get what I consider good mileage out of them with nominal wear to the tread surface. However, what does give me cause for concern are the sidewalls. When I first started using them I began noticing black hair-like threads hanging off the sidewall close to where the tire is seated to the rim- *not* at the point of contact with the rim, but about 2-4 millimeters away from the edge of the rim.
Moreover, this happened not just on one rim or one bike, but it’s happened on multiple rims and bikes. I’ve come to the conclusion the sidewalls are simply delaminating on a thread-by-thread basis and I haven’t experienced a complete sidewall failure.
I just have to take a pair of scissors after the threads every so often. Just for reference, I generally use 700×23’s, but have had the occasion to use 700×25’s and 700×28 (only once). I had originally thought it might have been a heat build-up issue from using a trailer, but I haven’t used that in several years now and it didn’t seem to make a difference.
All that said, I like the tires- but I wish I could have greater confidence in the sidewall construction. If not for that, I would rate the tires with a “5”.
These replaced Continental 4000S tyres. The Gatorskin is a tighter fit so be prepared to use tyre levers for the last bit when fitting. They are tough especially on the sides because just as many punctures happen there as elsewhere on a tyre.
I’m in the Swansea area which has a lot of bikeways cos the Council wants to make the place into bike city and they are succeeding, but the roads are diabolical. Nothing is ever puncture proof but these Gatorskins are about as close as you can get and they roll along wonderfully.
I wouldn’t put anything else on my bike and I don’t really care that they cost in the 25 to 30 quid zone. My bike is a Cannondale Caad8. Steve.
The Goodyear 27. 5 inch x 2. 1 inch Folding Mountain Bike Tire is a black sidewall tire with medium knobbys for on or off-raod use. This 27. 5-inch black bike tire from Goodyear is for replacing worn or damaged tires on mountain bikes.
It is designed to fit a standard 27. 5 inch mountain bike wheel with a width of 2. 1 inch. Keep your bike running smoothly for the foreseeable future with this Goodyear 27. 5 inch inch Bicycle Tire that will give you a smooth ride with plenty of traction.
This Goodyear tire has a flexible bead for easier installation and it is equipped with supple sidewalls to provide a smoother ride. The rubber construction helps give it the durability it needs to last your child a long time on his or her bike.
Advertised sizing is not correct. The tires are 2 inches or less in tread width and the overall height is about 28 inches. Do not buy. I now have a front tire 28 inches in height and my rear tire (existing tire) is 29 inches in height.
The Goodyear tire is noticeably thinner than the originals, which are true to size 29X2. 1’s.
I would recommend making sure you get the right tires your bike actually needs. I’ve been plenty of cases where you think maybe it will and it just breaks. Not really the brands fault, more than the person.
I think its important to get replacement tires or spares especially if you’ve had the bike for a while. Even if its for your kiddio it makes it much easier for them

95″ Color: Black ISO Size: 559 Intended Use: Hybrid / Mountain / Urban Bead: Wire bead, Clincher PSI: 40-65.
I just want to state that this tire and tread design work incredibly well for my cycling needs. My travels are primarily over asphalt and concrete. I have found that the traction and over-all stability of the tire’s tread design is exceptional.
I live in a desert area of the US and rapid tire wear has always been an issue for me. I have 2 different tires types and tread designs currently installed on by bike right now that wear installed on the very same day.
The K838 still has the molded rubber teets still visible on the tire where the other tire is already showing signs of wear only after approx. 50 miles of riding, Wow! We are just finishing up our monsoon or rainy season here and the wet weather traction is something that I would rate as exceptional.
This area doesn’t get a lot of rain but when it does the streets become very, very slick. This tire almost seems to get even better under the wet and slick conditions. The paths that I ride this time of the year are usually dotted with dry washout areas of sand and decomposed granite, I have this tire mounted on my front wheel and it just seems to track right through the washouts steady as a rock, where as my rear tire with a lot more aggressive tread design actually starts the bike to do what is called fish-tailing.
I plan on purchasing another and just keeping the more aggressive tire as a spare. Did I mention “quite” the tread design very, very quite, absolutely no tire whine at all compared to the more aggressive tire on the back.
A pair of these on any ones bike would be a wise choice if tires are ready to be replaced, Excellent ride, handling, and no-noise make this tire a GREAT choice for replacement tire.
Simply the best wsy to go, if you have a motorized bike, I build motorised bike’s & won’t use any other tire. Work’s great for city or trail. I have bought 5 sets, from this seller. No problems, love the product!.
The channel at the center of the tire could easily puncture. It is what I wanted and expected beyond this design issue. A tire liner that is thick adds protection and solves the imagined problem.
A reliable and durable option for those who ride daily, the Dynamic Classic model gives you the grip and low rolling resistance you need for long road rides. This particular version is finished with the classic skin wall look, which has become very popular again.
Robustness Acknowledged as the perfect day-to-day partner due to its strength and durability. More Durability A strong tyre with good grip and durability. More Lightweight Thanks to its foldable beads.
The tires look very nice on the old Trek bike. They grip very good on the turns. The price was cheaper than other in town stores or online. The shipping was high, but coming from Spain, it was reasonable.
The tires 20-622 arrived in perfect condition and were fitted immediately. Everything was great. Very good price / performance ratio and good quality. Delivery time was acceptable

The Schwalbe One is fast and reliable at the same time. Our V-Guard, made from a special fabric, which is characterized by low weight and extreme cut resistance. is distinguished.
Comfy, Better grip then Primo Comet, though on account of some acceleration and slower in comparison to Primo. Nice design and pleasing look and fit to tiny bike like mine.
A great combination of comfort, grip and super low rolling resistance to deliver a smooth, fast tire. The big bonus is a surprising level of puncture resistance. No longer do you need to use rough riding, slow puncture resistant tires to avoid flats.
Classic competition tire which feels at home at the Cross Country World Cup or at marathons. Low rolling resistance, good self-damping and low weight make it the right choice for all race bikes. All of our city/trekking tires are rated to a standard speed of at least 25 km/h.
Those tires marked e50 are also certified for S-Pedelecs. With their high quality structure, puncture protection is high and the rolling resistance is low offering protection from premature wear brought about by the additional driving force.
My previous tires were halfway worn. I changed tires to try a tubeless setup for the first time, and also to improve grip. I ride XC trails most of the time and never do jumps, downhill, or anything crazy.
I do enjoy going from 15 to 30 miles distances with climb challenges. So these tires seem a good fit for what I do. I was able to install these tubeless in my cheap non-tubeless-ready rims by adding more layers of tape.
These are my first tubeless tires, but I had installed tubeless tires before for other bikes. I could say these were the easiest to install so far. Still you will need a compressor, and also install them first with a tube for several hours to straighten the edges.
These have more grip than the tires that came with my bike. With the stock tires I had a few close calls, that is why I wanted to improve grip. But, as expected, with the additional grip came more rolling resistance.
Classic cross country tire with low rolling resistance, good self-damping, and low weight. The 3-layer tubeless ready casing offers good puncture protection. PureGrip compound provides great grip and high durability.
Specs for the 26×2. 0″ tire: PureGrip compound. Performance protection. Tubeless ready. Foldable bead. 3/180 TPI. 50-65 PSI. Weight: 570g. Mfg PartNum: C1230090 Note that in general Conti’s may be a pain to install/remove on/off the rim.
Firstly, I’m a big Continental trail king fan and had always used the folding version in the past. I bought this 40 pair of wired trail kings to compare them against the folding version which are usually 50 per tire.
This price difference between the wired (tubed) and folding (tubed/tubeless) other that tubeless capability and superior materials is due to the fact that the wired ones are Chinese made and the folding ones are German made.
Both of the tires I received are seriously deformed despite correct installation using new continental tubes onto perfectly true wheels, I’ve tried to put some miles on them to see whether they bed in but after 30 miles they’re just as bad and pretty much un-ridable (on the road anyway).
This deformation must have occurred during manufacture. To be honest I’ve wasted my money, buy cheap buy twice.
What technology does it use in its construction? The Dynamic Sport is available in a Michelin Standard compound, Standard casing configuration with folding and wire bead options to choose from, in a range of different colours.
The triple layer 30TPI carcass offers durability and performance in abundance, prioritising rolling speed above all else. What is the intended use? Designed as an all rounder, bridging the gap between City/Hybrid and Road use, the Dynamic Sport is an incredibly versatile tyre with Michelin’s Access Line.
This affordable rubber provides balanced entry level characteristics across a range of weathers and paved surfaces, focusing on rolling speed compared to its sibling the Dynamic Classic. Our verdict A great entry level tyre with speed in mind.
This is a great value for the money! Compares to the Continental Ultra-Sport II wire-bead version. I only wished Michelin would offer a folding (lighter) version at a similar price point like Conti does (they have the wire-bead and folding versions).
Continental places more emphasis on lowering the rolling resistance, whereas Michelin seems to produce a more robust tire in this category. Conti marketing always had me sold, and I always had this special feeling when I put on a new set.
followed by the frustration of getting a puncture not long after. With Michelin, it is more a put-it-on-and-forget situation. They seem much more robust in this entry-level category. FYI: 60tpi is very good for this price point.
That works out to 3 plies x 60 at the center, which is the same as a Continental “180tpi\3”.
Delivered quickly, unfolded. Has been riding Michelin Dynamic sport for years because of the grip (and the color). Winter, summer, rain. no problems or slippery conditions. Will last at least 4000 km.
Product delivered within the period indicated by the seller. On the road, in almost a year, not a puncture doing more than 100 km a week. Good grip on corners and on wet roads. In roller, I did not imagine that it could hold so much.
Low noise and no traces of rubber. Quality / price I don’t think there is anything like it.

Our verdict One of the fastest road bike tyres from Continental just got faster! Predictable control and cornering as a result of the proven Lazer Grip technology with Active Comfort technology smoothing out the bumps.
One of the most dependable Road tyres in the Continental line-up.
The Blackburn 26 inch Comfort Bike Tire with Flat Protection is a smart choice for anyone who owns a compatible bike. Flat Protection technology provides a protective layer with increased strength and extra puncture resistance.
Our comfort bike tire features a carbon steel bead for extra safety, and tire strength. They are extremely durable and built to stand up to the elements. feature a new optimized tread pattern for easy, around-town rides.
Conveniently, these tires fold and unfold without damage, making them easy to transport from place to place. Blackburn tires are ultra-durable and made for adventure. The tires will stand the test of time, ride after ride.
Very good product. It comes like folded. So you open it up and make it round again. It may take some time. If it is cold, even longer. You will need tire spoons to install it too. Put one side in, then the tube.
After you install the other side of the tire, inflate the tube, deflate the tube, inflate to normal. This process removes the wrinkles or pinches in the tube.
This bike tire is made from high quality rubber. It was very easy to install. It seems to give a smoother ride with the neat tread pattern. Also has good traction. I will be purchasing another one definitely.
My bike keeps getting flat tires even though I was replacing inner tubes. With this new tire and a new inner tube the tire has held up, no flats. Apparently my old tire was allowing it to be punctured.
Well this tire is well worth the money. I waited quite sone time to review this tire to give an honest review. A bike tire is something that needs to be trusted if riding long distance. And this Bell tire is that.
Seem to be a good quality material. Seem to ride smoothly on both the road and on bike trail. Was easy to put on the bike also. Nice look. Had no trouble with control in the rain. I lije the tire and will not hesitate to buy another.
What technology does it use in its construction? The Vittoria Urbano comes in a standard 2C compound with a Rigid Bead, Nylon 20 TPI casing, available in a wide array of wheel sizes and widths to suit almost any bike.
What is the intended use? The Urbano features a modern style tread pattern, with a 1. 3 millimeter thick anti-puncture rubber breaker layer, providing reliability and protection in the Urban enviroment.
This City & Hybrid tyre boasts hard-wearing and dependable charcteristics letting you enjoy the ride, whatever the weather. Our verdict A fantanstic mid-level City & Hbrid tyre, at an entry-level price point.
I bought this tyre at my local store as they didn’t have any of the BTWIN TRIBAN PROTECT ROAD BIKE TYRE 700X28 in stock. First it was incredibly hard to install, I nearly broke my tyre levers trying to fit it, and secondly it provided a very hard and uncomfortable ride.
somehow it seemed much narrower than 28mm, also the walls of the tyre are quite soft so the ride is kind of hard but wobbly at the same time. once the Btwin tyre was available in store two weeks later I replaced it (with incredible difficulty) and throwed it away, a complete waste of money, This tyre is by far the worst I have ever tried and I’ve been cycling for over 10 years.
The perfect equipment for dirt jumpers and street riders looking for a large-volume, stable and lightweight tyre. The large version of the proven Allround BMX tyre can be used universally for dirt jumps, street and city cruising.
TechnologiesWire bead core The bead core must hold the tyre securely on the rim. High-quality wire is very well suited for this – the disadvantages are: Not foldable and somewhat heavier (approx. 50g more).
MaxxProMaxxPro Compound is the first tyre compound for bicycle tyres in which the components have been extremely finely ground. This mixture is optimal from Allmountain to Downhill: More grip, good damping properties, long service life, low rolling resistance.
And no stud demolition – a success of the exclusive Maxxis MaxxPro technology.
I have a hard tail that I ride through the streets a lot. These are perfect for it. Bike rolls along smoothly with ease. Tires are good looking. You would probably want a different tire for dirt trails though.
I bought them to replace ordinary road tyres 2 inch X 20 inch. These are 2.2 inch with amore aggessive tread. Also the recommended tyre pressue is lower for a more comfortable ride. I am over 80.
What technology does it use in its construction? The Dynamic Sport is available in a Michelin Standard compound, Standard casing configuration with folding and wire bead options to choose from, in a range of different colours.

I’ve ridden about 100 miles on these tires so far, coming from michelin lithion2 ion. These tires are riding smooth and handle tight turns well. Have not ridden in the wet weather yet and a bit concerned since the tires are slick all around.
Prices on tires have gone up dramatically but for value, and performance, more than satisfied.
The Michelin Dynamic Sport bicycle tires fill a nice spot in the road tire field. They look nice, ride well, have a reasonable life to them, and are a good price. We use them on 6 different bicycles in the red and the white side wall trim.
They give a bit of a flair to the bikes looks which is a nice touch. They have no tread pattern but we don’t ride in the rain so that isn’t an issue. We get at least a few thousand miles out of them.
Preference is for the 25mm, but the red side wall tires seem to be only available as 23mm’s. They don’t seem to be prone to any more flats than the other brands used including a couple with protective belting.
They are a good choice for those who put up to a few thousand miles a year on their bikes and aren’t too concerned about having the highest level of technology available.
I ordered these based on the price and they Look decent. Do NOT expect them to look perfect and the side walls look like a child drew the lines. Otherwise the color and fit seem like they are okay. It’s unlikely that I would purchase these again or suggest anyone else do.
I still decided to keep them since it is a budget build for me on this one. Follow up after less than 50 miles: Small stone on road tore the tire apart rendering it useless. I am not sure if the set I received was defective, but these are certainly is low quality.
The Michelin World Tour (ETRTO 35×584) is a multi-purpose low-cost tire designed for city use and trekking. It has a grooved profile to have more grip especially on rainy days and can be ridden on any bicycle with 650B wheels.
Depending on the type of terrain, it is recommended to inflate it between 3. 5 and 4. 5 bars. In short, it is a good tire at a very competitive price and from a manufacturer known worldwide as Michelin.
Please note: Despite the 650B size, this tire is not suitable for Mountain Bike (MTB) wheels.
Bought these tires a few years ago and I was extremely happy with the performance. Both on city and on mountain roads(not offroad). I thought most of the winter tires were similar until yesterday when I see the importance of a quality set of wheels.
I would totally buy it again if I ever live in a cold city or get an SUV again. Hats off to Michelin. Using ps4’s right now :).
At first glance back when I was shopping for them I kept thinking that the thread pattern was abnormal for a winter tire: very little thread dept with small openings and a very soft and rounded thread profile.
To me, they looked like a all-season tire. But, with such high ratings and Michelin’s impeccable reputation for tires, I paid over 200$ a tire. Unfortunately, my first impressions were right. These might be very smooth and quiet on pavement, like an all-season tire, they also offer the same level of grip on deep or wet snow.
At any given intersection covered in snow, these tires always spin on acceleration and skid on braking, always activating TCS and ABS respectively. In deeper snow on an incline, you will be left for dead in traffic.
You see, the problem with small thread openings is that it takes little to no snow to fill them up and then the only way to empty them is to get them spinning, see where this can be highly problematic for a supposed snow tire? For the love of god, save your good-earned money for some cheaper, actual winter tires.
My wife has a set of Champiro Ice Pro (Chinese Nokian copies) on her car which is similar to mine, and has tremendously more grip than these Michelins in real winter conditions.
There are many different types of tires for bicycles, and the best type for a given bicycle depends on the intended use of the bicycle. For example, a racing bicycle will typically have narrower tires than a mountain bike, and the tread on the tires will be different.
Some tires are designed for use on paved roads, while others are designed for use on off-road trails.
The size of the tire is also important. Bicycle tires come in a range of sizes, from 20 inches to 29 inches. The width of the tire is also important, as wider tires provide more traction and stability, while narrower tires are lighter and faster.
When choosing tires for a bicycle, it is important to consider the intended use of the bicycle, as well as the size and width of the tires.
