20 Best Tires For Subaru (2022 Updated)

I had a set of 4 installed recently. My 2013 MKZ has 19 Inch low profile tires. These were one of the cheapest tires available for that size. I had experience with the Eagle-RSA in the past on other vehicles, and found that they wore-out too quickly.

The F1 Asymmetric provide excellent handling in wet and dry conditions. They provide great grip in light snow. I was surprised that I could get a name-brand tire, with a high mileage warranty, for this price.

These are an excellent buy. I noticed that the response on these tires were slightly better than the stock Michellin Primacy tires that came with the car. If they dont wear out too quickly, I’ll be buying another set in 4 years.

The tire came a couple days early, pretty fast really. I got a used tire with 100% new tire tread for a bit more than half of retail. As the disclaimer stated, there may be a professional patch and there was.

It was a very small nail hole in the tread that I’d have been hard pressed to find if the patch had not been there to show me where to look. Otherwise the tire is in perfect condition. I have no qualms about riding on this tire.

I am very impressed with Walmart Tire Center and this Goodyear Assurance tire. I usually buy tires at a nationwide chain tire store but my Korean tire was no longer available and the replacement tire was twice the price I had paid in 2018.

Then I found my tire at Walmart and it was a Goodyear Assurance All Season Radial which is a better brand anyway and way cheaper. Instead of $219 at my local tire store the Goodyears were $124 which is a great deal for a 235 55 R19 tire with a 600 A A rating.

I purchased the tires online and called my local Walmart Auto Center for an installation appointment. They said come on down. The total installation with road hazard warranty and lifetime rotation and balance was $104.

Amazing! I couldn’t be happier with the quite comfortable ride and traction. And an extra bonus, the tire is NOT made in China. Truly a great tire at a great price. I saved $365 on the tires, installation and road hazard certificates.

So do your homework and I’m sure you will end up buying from Walmart as I did. And act fast because tire prices are climbing fast.

I purchased warranty on tires in January at City Station Walmart; keep in mind I have purchased at least 3 sets of tires in the past. These tires had great reviews but 4 months in and tire needs replacing.

In May I had a blowout and reached out to Walmart, they couldn’t find my info in the system so ultimately I had to purchase a tire closer to where I was (NTB). Fast forward it’s been 3 more months that have passed and I still have no replacement tire.

I spoke to Robert at City Station and he claimed he coifing my info in the system, hmm. After 3 attempts he finally found the info, gave it to the manager at the Walmart in S. C. Where I reside but not w/o telling the manager “she should have kept a copy of her decos deal she wouldn’t be going through this” now we all know receipts fade or get lost but if it’s input in the system, with the tap of your fingers it should be in the system and might I add I spoke to 3 other associates before Robert and they were able to pull up my info with no problem.

Now, the manager in S. C. Has been working on getting in this tire for 3 weeks now but so far the truck has not delivered, recap I bought tires in January, need replacement in May and it is now the middle of August and let’s not forget I reached out to corporate by phone and emails at least 5 times and have been redirected to reach out to the store I initially made the purchase from.

What’s next?.

I was planning on replacing my tires on my Kia Sorento as the tread was getting low and I drive a lot of miles per week. I was happy to see that WalMart had Kumho Crugen (which is what I had been running on my car) in stock so I put a set of 4 in “My Cart” to be ordered.

Before I could order them to be shipped to my local WalMart (Epping) I got a flat tire on my way home from work. The tire couldn’t be repaired so the decision of when to get the new tires was made for me.

I went to my local Walmart and asked if they had any Kumho tires in stock. They said they didn’t but they strongly recommended the Goodyear Assurance Outlast tires which are made “Exclusively” for Walmart.

They told me they have great reviews and are “as good as the Kumho Crugen Premium tires”. I asked if they gave the same smooth ride and if they were quiet, like the ones I had on my car. I was assured that they were quiet, rode smoothly and will be great in the snow.

So far, they’re WRONG on two points. The tires are anything but smooth riding. I’ve had the torque/tires checked twice at 2 different Walmarts and told them each time that the tires give a feeling of having loose lug nuts when going down the road.

Both times I was told they were OK. Also, they certainly are Not QUIET on the road. I have just over 2100 miles on these tires in the last 2 months so I can certainly say “Don’t Buy these tires”. I’m not only disappointed with the tires, I’m also very disappointed with the people that recommended them to me.

We’re talking about dumping an inferior set of tires on a (senior) customer at a cost of just under $600. I should have just used my wifes car for the 3 days it was going to take to get the Kumho tires shipped to the Epping store and installed instead of taking their word on the “Exclusive” Goodyear tires they sold me.

I’m stuck with running these tires for now.

I am preparing to purchase my third set of these tires as I think they perform quite well for the price. I have a set on my 2001 Tacoma that I use for hauling light loads and pulling a small camper and they have performed well for this purpose.

The second set I have on my 2017 Camry XSE. These are low profile and they handle well with a quiet and smooth ride. Since I’m so satisfied with these two sets I’m ordering a third set for my Impala.

I have many thousands of miles on these tires and think they are great. If you want a good performing, quiet tire at a reasonable price then I recommend these. Most of the negative reviews are nonsensical and some complaining about delivery times which have nothing to do with the tire performance.

The only reason I gave this 1 star is because there wasn’t a way to give a ZERO. I have had nothing but problems since I purchased them. All 4. I have already had to replace the front left tire and now the front right tire is going bad.

There was a 1 year warranty on it and I called just slightly under one year and they never sold me the tires with an odometer reading to show that I never drive because I work from home since 2014 and then Covid hit so I haven’t been out since March 10.

I had to find a friend to take it to Discount Tire because the bays are or were closed at Walmart and they ended up selling me another tire. I highly suggest you don’t even think about buying these tires.

Now I have to find someone to take my car back to Discount Tire (as I am a Senior w/underlying conditions and don’t go out) to fix my 2nd FAULTY TIRE. If you never listen to another thing in your life Please listen to this DO NOT BUY THESE TIRES.

The tires themselves? How would I know? I just had them installed. I’ve had Solarus tires before and was very satisfied. Installation? Now, that’s a different animal. One of my pressure sensors was bent and the technician or Auto Manager wanted to blame it on a previous installation.

This was the first tire replacement on a new vehicle. It is now intermittently coming on since installation. But (and this is a big BUT), I believe it is from tire expansion during heat up on long trips, due to too much pressure in one of the tires.

I will verify this very shortly. The only other conclusion would be the damaged sensor. The fact Walmart is willing to change it if the sensor is, in fact, damaged, is the only reason for the 3 star rating.

I have a 2021 Chevy Blazer RS I’m running in a 265/50/20. Which is the same overall diameter as the stock 21in wheel and tire set up. I have put around 5,000 miles on them and they have handled everything I have thrown at them! I drive around 30,000mi a year.

I do mostly 2-Lane back roads. Occasionally one lane dirt and gravel roads. We just had our first snowfall with accumulation and these handled it better than any other tire I have run. With wet roads they do really well, no hydroplaning so far! Dry traction is amazing these handle dry roads as well as any all season or touring tire I have run.

The road noise is well managed for an all terrain with very minimal tread growl at highway speeds. As for tread ware I can’t comment but I hope they do well. As far as fuel economy goes, I have seen a slight decrease in MPG around 1 MPG.

But for all the other things this tire does so well it is well worth it!!! I will always consider and recommend Cooper from here on out!! Well done cooper!!!.

i have always trusted cooper us made tires as I have had them on my other vehicles and no exception here I have the ht3 tires on my service work truck now for almost 5k miles. I do mobile mechanic and go to were the job is so tires are extremely important as my truck is heavy but not a 4 wheel drive as I occasionally go off pavement.

I have always trusted cooper tires for long time , but due to finances I had to run other tires I was not very happy with but got me by. The cooper reputation is what bought me back. I had found a great dealer whom I would recommend as its family owned and great caring service.

I was told about these ht3 tires and decided to give them a try and glad I did!!! they ride comfortable, quiet and do go great both off and on road, we get heavy downpours and the wet weather doesn’t seem to affect them.

going up a steep muddy driveway I had no issues. I have yet to find anything negative about these tires. there is no comparison to other tires I had. also the warranty i consider is much better.

This is my second full set of Cooper Discoverer LT tires. They offer good road handling on most highway surfaces. Off-road traction is almost as good, especially on wet roads. The tire design reduces noise so it is not noticeable while driving on or off surfaced roads.

With this tire, my Ram gets 20 to 21 mpg without towing and 18mpg towing. The only down side is that this LT tire lasts about 43,000 miles of normal driving on my Dodge Ram 2500. That’s about three years until they need replacement at a cost of about $300.

Gained 12. 4 in milage 6. 0l. Steering very responsive feels like performance very quiet and smooth the bumps no long we got bad roads who doesn’t. teeth rattling thats what i wanted most was noice and smoother.

I have 4:10 it really gets on it with 265. They drive and stay going down the road well. My older wider taller worn bfg felt like alignment was off but it was t they woukd hit a bump the. Go that way with no hands.

The 17×9 they look real wide but contact patch is about 9 in hes wide. Wonder know id i. Could stretch a 245 might look even cooler. They hold a high diameter there about 3 and a bit. At 60psi instead tire shop put at 80.

They really shoulder up more flating out tread more.

I’ll be honest; I drive fast and I’m hard on tires. I corner tight, I brake heavy, I accelerate hard (for a Corolla. ), and I like to be where I’m going. I enjoy driving, and I do it in one of the most brutal environments in the world for a tire; on the sun-baked scorching hot asphalt of South Texas roads.

These just passed 20k miles of hard city and highway driving and they’re still holding strong. Lesser tires de-laminate and bubble on long summer trips, or the sidewalls soften up and start to handle like garbage with city driving.

Not these. These have survived potholes, gravel roads, my wife, and highway-speed evasive maneuvers that would have torn the sidewall out of a lesser tire. They’ve got the grip to come to a quick stop, they stick like gum on aggressive take-offs, and they’ve kept the car on rails though water that could have easily had me hydroplaning.

I’m ordering another set to go with a fresh suspension overhaul and alignment, but they’re still in great condition with far more tread left than I would have expected after the miles and abuse I put them through.

I’m very critical of most products I buy, but these have exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds and earned some props. Nice job Toyo folks; you really nailed it with these Extensas. If these tires can survive me and the scorching Wild Horse Desert, it’ll be a cake-walk for the more temperate climates and drivers out there.

The Toyo extensa hp ll are a solid choice for aspiring driver confidence. The silica rubber compound will give you great tire longevity and with the well designed directional v pattern, they’ll provide an exceptional high level of grip.

In a rwd platform, the backend is grippy but I notice the slightest wiggle in play even with smooth throttle and corner entry/trail-braking, very manageable for experienced drivers but I’d properly go with a smaller sidewall choice for sharper control and it’ll definitely help with front steering feel.

Tires arrived in timely manner and were as indicated. This particular tire size in this brand has become hard to find of late. BB Wheel did not have them in stock when I initially tried to order. They notified me when the tires became available though in limited quantities.

I give high enough praise to these tires! Put these on my 2017 Explorer Sport (20″ 255/20 R20) on Nov 22, 2018. I drive them ALL YEAR (I don’t switch to summer tires). Three years later I have put 85,000 km on the tire and there is still 3-4/32″ of tread left; but winter is upon us and it is now time for new ones (if it was summer, I could go a few more months on these tires).

The Ford factory supplied tires lasted 1. 5 yrs and 49,000 km. Excellent winter handling, no noticeable increase in road noise, excellent summer handling. If you run these all year long, you save $200 per year in tire swapping each season and hassle of storing tires.

After 3 years, I have saved $500 by not swapping tires which is 41% of the cost of new tires. So, even if you don’t get as long of tire life, it is still cheaper than buying summer and winter and swapping them each season.

This tire has the best traction of any winter tire I have ever used. It also is pretty decent on bare roads as well in terms of ride quality and noise. Doesn’t seem to negatively affect my gas mileage like others have.

Other reviews say they wear fast, but I am not putting many miles on my vehicles these days so I care more about traction than wear. So far I haven’t noticed them wearing faster than usual, but I haven’t really gone far enough to really notice.

OK, I have been driving for over 50 years and am sane, healthy and still working full time. These are the best winter tires I have ever had the pleasure of using. I have only had them about one month, but in that time I had driven in freezing rain, 30cm of unplowed snow, rain washing away the snow – then freezing and more snow.

I drive at highway speeds every day and at no time have I ever felt uncomfortable with these tires. They are used on a 2008 Ford Ranger pickup.

Sidewalls of my Firestone Firehawks GT are severely cracking on my 2018 Charger r/t. Mileage is 16,500. Tons of tread left. but these tires will not pass inspection. This is nothing else but brand failure.

Great quality tires at a great price. I purchased these on sale last week. I saved $ 30. 00 a trie. I’m very happy about the free shipping to my home. The only thing I don’t like is that my local Walmart service center doesn’t pick up the phone.

It took me days for someone over there to answer my phone calls and when they did I couldn’t get an appointment.

First, to set the record: Tirebuyer is a great place to buy tires. That is, if you already know your tire. I had previously bought Dunlop Tires, and was trying to re-order. Ah, but they don’t carry Dunlops anymore.

So, here is the problem with buying tires online. I ended up buying this Firestone Tire, sight unseen. Hands-down, this is the WORST tire I have ever bought/driven in over five decades of driving!!!!! The tires “roar” down the road with a sound akin to a bench grinder: humming so loud the interior of the car is a deafening cavern.

The vibrations even come up the steering column. Interestingly, of all the previous reviews, only ONE other customer wrote a negative report. and this one also spoke of “the noise. ” I am telling you: this is the worst tire on the market for noise.

But, I give kudos to Tirebuyer: 1. ) if you know what you are buying, this is the place to buy, and; 2. ) They stand by their 100% return guarantee. Trouble is, I am now out the Installation/Mounting Fee twice over for the Firestone tires, and now ones I have ordered to replace them.

So much for any savings!!!!! I have LOST a ton of money on this deal. BOTTOM LINE: these Firestone tires are pure 100% garbage. not even worth using to set fires at a riot!!!! LOL!!!!!.

2006 RWD ford explorer. Old tires were squirrly on a nice day. Only drove this vehicle on dry days. Thought I’d try a set of winter tires and bought 4 cooper true north. Whoa. Night and day better traction in wet and ice snow conditions.

It handles better than my 4wd yukon with these winter tires. 2 deg right now, snowing, ice everywhere and just got my kid to his game. Had to share. You want a set of phenomenal tires for these conditions, These are them.

I bought these tires and had them installed on the 27th of September and on the 2nd of October we got 40 cm of snow. This is probably the first time I’ve guessed right about installing my winter tires in a timely fashion.

I chose the Cooper tires based on experience with Discoverer M+S tires that I’d used on a Toyota FJ for over a decade. My new tires, Discoverer True North, are on a Subaru Outback. I’m impressed with the grip and control the tire offered in accelerating and stopping on ice and in deep snow.

They are also significantly quieter on dry pavement than all but a very expensive set of Bridgestone tires I had on a BMW I’d previously owned. My installer told me this was the only set of these tires he’d sold.

That’s a pity because they seem to work very well. I bought them based on past experience with Cooper tires and a very positive report from Consumer Reports. My decision seems to have been a good one.

One of my very best Walmart experiences. the tires arrived in a timely manner, I was contacted immediately, I schedule an appointment to get them installed, the installation took only about an hour, the Service Techs were professional, clean and courteous.

As for the performance of the tires. I was almost ready to sell the vehicle because the all season tires, with < 8k miles on them, performed so terribly on snow and ice (NE WI) that I thought I couldn't use just a front wheel drivev SUV.

These snow tires are remarkable. Since having them installed I’ve been through a 3 inch and a 6 inch snow fall and it’s just like driving my four wheel drive truck. The difference in throttle, brake and steering control is amazing.

Yes putting four new snow tires on isn’t cheap but it’s well worth it when you consider the cost of just one trip into a ditch or another vehicle.

Great tires for the money and I believe underrated and or overlooked by many. The tread groove directional pattern is excellent on both snow and ice. This tire is slightly narrower through the road contact mid section thus allowing greater transfer of weight to the road surface.

It is the opposite to summer requirements as a narrower tire provides better surface grip. This is a snow tire not a mud and snow or 4 season hybrid which is ok in the city but a mess in a country setting.

All channels including the ice channels go to the base of the tread not like some tires where the grooves stop halfway. The soft rubber compound stays flexible at low temperatures and this tire I find is much lighter that a lot of other snow tires I have had, It is also an attractive tire once mounted on a rim unlike some bulky versions.

It also rides quiet on the road on my older f-150 fx4. Love this tire and recommend it to anyone on a budget looking for a great snow tire.

Purchased 4 Winterforce tires. Have had extremely good luck with these in the past. Since mounting them on the vehicle, my vehicle was in the shop 3 times with what we thought were alignment issues – in addition, the performance in the snow didn’t compare to Blizzaks or Arctic’s I have on my other vehicles.

We decided to switch back to the previous tires and it drove straight as an arrow. In compliance with their policy, since they were mounted and had roughly 100 miles on them, I understand I could not return them; however I would have liked to purchase another set from Priority.

I could not get a reply from Customer Service about if there would be any assistance or discount in another purchase. Don’t waste your time with wholesale, support a local shop where if there is an issue with your tires, the warranty is hassle free and you’ll have support.

These tires have exceeded our expectaions by a mile. We had them put on last week and the same night we picked up our 2wd Chevy S10 from Walmart, we had a snow storm of a couple inches of wet slippery snow.

On our 30 minute drive home, we passed several vehicles that were going around 20 mph while we were able to go the full speed limit of 55mph without any trouble. I did put 280 lbs. of sandbags in the bed over the rear wheels but I never expected the traction to be so good on a lightweight pickup like ours.

With the previous tires, the truck would break loose from the road even in mildly damp rain conditions.

Well made quality snow tires. I use it all year round because they handle well on wet ground. I live in Virginia. Summers are short thus the tires last me 2 years. I replace them every fall season. I hope the manufacturer of these tires do not sell out and continue to produce them.

The HTR Enhance WX2 235/45R18 have been on my car for about a week. They balanced very well with minimal weights needed. The car rides quieter than on the General AS05 tires these replaced. Haven’t driven in rain yet.

I mounted the tires at a local Walmart auto center, and was very disappointed to learn you cannot buy the Roadhazzard protection they offer at the store because tires sold via Walmart. com are not available to the Walmart store in case a replacement is needed, or so was the story I was told.

And Walmart. com does not sell Roadhazzard on line. I did read where Sumitomo provides a limited Raodhazzard; will check.

I properly rotated and balanced the tires at Walmart, and my vehicle was aligned the entire time the tires were on my vehicle. However, the tires do NOT meet the manufacturer’s advertised tread life.

Walmart will have you replace all four tires with a brand they have in stock (they hate “dot. com tires”), and ignore the manufacturer’s warranty procedure regarding tires not meeting expected tread life.

The tires are quiet and rarely hydroplane. They are good in snow and bad in mud. The manufacturer also makes Solar, and these tires do not meet advertised expected tread wear.

I put these tires on my Mazda 3 2010 and they feel amazing! Way better than the new but cheap tires my car came with. It has made a huge difference. It hugs the the road, handles wet conditions great, and just overall good tires.

I’ve only had them on for a week so I can’t speak of wear and tear but they’re holding up good so far.

I bought these for my daughter’s RAV4 AWD. Quiter then OE Bridgestone. Extreme improvement in wet and standing water. Really good in sloppy farm road wet fields. Have not had severe snow (packed/frozen/iced over) condition but 4″-6″ of fresh wet snow no slipping, sliding, traction control induction.

The the amount of siping and channels evacuates water, grips the road and the tread extends down to the sidewall for increased traction. I have been a Master Automotive Technician with Toyota for eight years and Master Tech for twenty.

I always praised Michelin ride and handling but COOPER has stepped up. The SRX has become my favorite SUV/LT replacement and the new Enduramax for the small SUXs SUV.

Put a set of the SRX on my wife’s 2015 Explorer a couple years ago. We properly maintain air pressure and rotation schedule. We’re down to approx. 1/2 tread life left. They have developed a high pitch whine to them that is absolutely annoying.

Never had this issue with any other Cooper tire in 35+ years of using them. Performance is still good in all weather situations so far though. Will not purchase another set.

After reading reviews I chose the SRX based on reviews of traction, quiet ride and gas mileage performance. I was also looking for a higher tread-life tire for my 2016 Silverado. The tire performed well for the first 20,000 miles or so but then tread wear became an issue.

Regular rotation didn’t seem to help. I even checked my vehicle’s alignment and other suspension possibilities but that didn’t make a difference. At 40,000 miles, the quiet has been gone for the lasts 5,000 miles or so.

The longer tread life certainly didn’t come with the set of four I purchased. I’ve bought other Coopers and have loved them. This model is one I won’t buy again because the promoted benefits didn’t come true with my purchase.
