20 Best Tires For Tesla (2022 Updated)

Have these on a 2011 Silverado 1500 and have put 10K km on these tires in a wide range of driving conditions. In short, if you’re looking for a tire to use year round in mixed on/off road driving I would definitely recommend these tires and would buy again.

I do 80/20 on/off road driving and have had Michelin Defender LTX and Duratracs before and was looking for something in between the performance of these two. On road: the Coopers are quiet and smooth with no noticeable difference in ride quality/handling from the LTX, no noticeable affect on mpg.

Better road manners than the Duratracs, especially at highway speed. Off road: the off roading I do is light. Mostly gravel/dirt roads, wet grass, and light mud (at most half a foot). The Coopers do great on gravel/dirt, the rock ejectors do their job and the truck feels planted the entire time through corners and hills.

Zero issues with wet grass, flat or on a hill. Would not be my top choice for mud, the Duratracs really shine here. Coopers have some slippage in deeper sections in 2WD where the Duratracs wouldn’t. In 4WD the Coopers can take on mud conditions with ease where you have stock clearance.

Winter: The Coopers do very well in snow, zero issues, no noticeable difference from the Duratracs. Better on ice than the Duratracs, but ice is ice so nothing is going to beat a dedicated winter tire.

On ice there is slippage (with an empty truck bed) when accelerating from a stop in 2WD, but in 4WD have had zero issues. Overall a good tire in winter conditions. The Coopers are a great year round all-terrain tire for a truck/SUV and perfect for my needs!.

I bought these to replace the OEM tires on my 4Runner and I’m very happy with them. I have a couple thousand miles on them so far and have driven in all conditions, dry, hot, wet, snow, ice, dirt/gravel roads, and a little bit of mud.

They have handled all conditions very well and have given me a sense of confidence/safety that I was looking for. Compared to your standard highway tire they only added a slight bit of noise, definitely quieter than other tires in this segment that I’ve experienced.

I wasn’t able to notice an MPG decrease either, maybe. 5mpg loss if there is any difference. They cut through water very nicely, they’re really good in the snow, especially fresh snow, and they are showing no damage or signs of wear so far.

I will say if you encounter mud often look at other tires, these seem to fill up with mud and lose performance very quickly. The only thing holding them back from 5 stars for me is that they are not fully siped, so about halfway through the life of these tires the sipes will be gone and your water/snow performance will decrease.

My next tires will have full depth siping.

I purchased these for my 2016 Honda CR-V AWD. a bit more aggressive than what you typically find on stock CR-V’s, but my Michigan exploring and photography sometimes takes me through rougher back roads and 2-tracks, even during extremely harsh and heavy winters.

Let me tell you: These tires ROCK! Since the majority of my driving is still on paved roads, after seeing the awesome but fairly aggressive tread, I was really concerned that these would be noisy, handle rather loosely on the curvy paved roads, or be uncomfortable or sketchy when hitting rough spots on the highways at higher speeds.

Immediately after getting them installed, I was pleasantly surprised and almost shocked at how quiet these tires are, and how well they grab the road and handle through curves, turns, and day-to-day driving including on the highway where they absorb bumps well, and still feel solid.

I have much more peace of mind venturing out into rougher areas now as these grab through the dirt and mud extremely well, and although I haven’t had them through winter yet, have no doubt that they will also be exceptional performers in the snow.

I’m actually really looking forward to that! My wife’s 2011 CR-V is due for new tires this fall, and I’m very seriously considering stepping her up to these awesome tires as well! Besides their exceptional performance, they look awesome too!.

These tires are absolutely amazing. I’ve had them for a year so far and it looks like they have maybe worn a few 32nd of an inch. I may have driven 8-10,000 miles on them so far. I purchased the 265/70/18 size for my 2010 Ford F150 with a leveling kit.

It is a little larger than the stock height and just a hair narrower but they perform amazing. My previous AT tires would spin out from a stop if you were on wet roads. Now, it is almost impossible to make these tires spin.

They plain out hook on wet roads and even mud. Yesterday was the first time I got to try these tires in soppy and very slick mud. I went hunting with my friend where he took his beater suburban down a narrow, muddy hunting road that was just as wide as my truck.

Sure enough he got stuck and I had to pull him out. It had plenty of traction in 2wd as long as I kept moving when I was navigating my way to him. Once I got to him, I finally had to put it in 4×4. These tires were digging hard, cleaning out and throwing mud everywhere.

I was able to tow his truck out about a half mile in mud so slick that it was hard to walk in. I never once got stuck. These tires are amazing for the price and I will definitely be getting some on my 2 door jeep wrangler soon and my 4 door jeep once the noisey mud tires that are on it wear out.

Also, I would like to mention that these tires look amazing on my truck. They look more aggressive in person than in pictures. They will be awesome for jeeps, trucks, and SUVs. They will give you the ability to go anywhere you want within reason and some places you probably shouldn’t be.

I bought this set of 4 tires for my 2019 Ford Ranger Pickup about 2 months ago and am so happy I did. These tires stick to the road so well when turning and are superior in rainy weather. I have no doubt they will do great in the snow but I’ll have to wait until winter to confirm this.

I was so impressed I bought a set of 4 for my wife’s 2015 Nissan Rogue. They look so aggressive, and she immediately commented that she doesn’t even have to use the brake when turning corners now! Although in my truck they are quiet, in the Rogue they are a little noisy; however, the performance is so great, we can live with this.

I put a set of the Cooper Endeavor Plus tires on my wife’s 2017 Subaru Outback a few weeks ago and they’re a dramatic improvement over the OEM Bridgestone Dueler’s that came on the car. The Cooper’s are quiet and help to smooth out our crappy Detroit area roads.

They also balanced out exceptionally well with very little weight needed. The tire crew at our local Madison Heights, MI store were also great to deal with and their skill may have helped with the balancing.

I have no complaints at all with these tires and I’m considering purchasing a set for my Chevy Colorado pickup when the factory Goodyear Wrangler’s finally wear out. For the money, it’s pretty hard to go wrong with these.

I bought these tires because they supposedly perform well in wet weather. That has yet to be determined. The 2 stars is because it appears that they missed a step in the QA department over at Cooper.

The tires had loose rubber all over the place. It’s like they came out of the molds and went straight to Sams Club. If I had to do it over again, I’d just stick with some Goodyears or Hankooks.

Bought a couple of months ago, didn’t look like a good winter tire, but am really impressed with the grip on snow and ice. Have cooper AT3’S on my truck, these endeavors were put on wife’s terrain and mother in law’s escape.

I purchased these tires for my wife’s Ford Escape Titanium. The original equipment tires were Continental which went almost 40,000 miles. My wife and I are pleased with the Goodyear Eagle RS-A2. We both noticed that they Goodyears are noticeably quieter and feel very stable.

We haven’t driven the vehicle in snow or icy conditions but on wet and dry pavement, they seem to be doing great. These tires were on sale at $120 per tire which was a saving of about $400 for the set compared to the Continentals which I never liked.

If I have the opportunity, I’ll add more to the review after we see how they do on snow and ice.

Priority tire was a lifesaver. I needed a tire for my only service vehicle and they shipped one the same day I ordered it. I was able to get by unti the tire arrived and my down time was very short.

Tread gone after like 10-20K miles. Not off-roading or anything like that. Some gravel driveway travel, but not enough to wear the tires like this. Even wear-down while rotating tires as one should. Just seems the rubber wears down faster than warranty.

I had never heard of this tire until they were on the car that I purchased a few years ago. They handled so well during the rain and snow that I decided to buy them again instead of going with the well known brands that are a lot more expensive.

I have no complaints.

Have about 3500 miles on these tires in all weather conditions. I drive mountain roads daily. Traction has been very good, even on snow packed roads. I am getting at least 5 mpg better has mileage on the highway over my previous Michelin pilot A/S 3 plus tires.

Tires are very quite and balanced with very little weight. Best tires I have found for the money.

Love these tires…they handle better than other tires I’ve tried….and they were brand names tires.

So far so good! The gentleman at the Los Lunas store did a Great job!! The tires are well balanced. It has only been a week and one weekend since the installation. The tires look good, are quiet and grip the road well.

The price was nice compared to Discount.

Great tread pattern, warranty, and price point. I live in east TN mountains, travel a lot, and have a 30 ft pull behind RV. Have to use a reliable tire for overall use, and seasons. Ram takes a 265 but I always step up to 285 for wider traction and height.

Not a 4×4 so I need that sure grip and water dispersement.

Nice and quiet ride. I originally had Michelin LTX tires on the truck. The Coopers are quieter and provide a good balanced ride. Dry traction is very good, wet traction is also very good! Snow and ice to be determined.

Loose sand and off-road driving wasn’t an issue. Smooth and good biting surface. Mud traction and driving is ok. These are obviously not mud terrains but performed decent in the sticky clay mud and river washes.

Tires performed well under towing and full load in the truck bed. I was on the fence about the tires because of the price point. Don’t let that fool you! The tires are at a excellent price point and hold up as good or better than most premium brands.

1000 miles driven in various terrain and no issues. I did however choose a different tire shop to install and warranty the tires by purchasing their replacement certificates. Wal-Mart is hit or miss in our area.

So for consistency of tire repair/replacement and reliability of service. I went with Discount Tire. I did get a large screw in the tire day after install. It was repaired promptly and without issues the tire held up during back country driving with no issues.

I only have about 10K miles, however have been quite impressed with these tires. My first road trip was from OK to VA, and poured rain the whole time. I was pulling a trailer, and had no issues with traction, hydroplaning, or braking.

Second road trip was from OK to CO. Dry pavement, tires were very quiet (no noticeable noise), absolutely no issues. I’ve been in Co for the past month with some mountain roads, snow, and ice. Traction is great, and felt comfortable on rough roads, mud, and some snow.

In the past two days we’ve received over a foot of snow here in CO, and these tires are awesome! Traction and braking are far better than the two previous sets of Michelins on my 2017 Expedition. Unless the mileage winds up being far less than the Michelins, I would definitely buy them again.

At only 10K, it’s too early to judge that aspect, however at this point I am extremely pleased.

The tires that fit my vehicle include 4 tires listed as Michelin Latitude Tour including the one that came with the vehicle when new. There are also 3 tires with a slight increase in price on each one, called Michelin Latitude Tour HP.

The one that costs the least ( by about $11 a tire) has a treadwear rating of 440 and the most expensive one is rated at 400. There is also a slight weight increase from about 32. 68 lbs to 34. 28 lbs ( extra weight means the engine must work slightly harder to turn the tire).

The Michelin Latitude Tour HPs all have treadwear guarantees around 90,000 kms and the factory installed Michelin Latitude Tour tire has a treadwear rating of 600 ( higher number should mean longer tread life but is a manufacturer rating) and a tread guarantee of 110,000 kms.

I have never gotten the kms of the guarantee on any tire and usually half of that. I check my tire presure at least once ever couple weeks or when temperatures change by more than 10 degrees celcius and I rotate the tires every 5000 to 8000 kms.

I drive like a grandpa with no quick starts, heavy braking or highspeed turns I’m okay with getting 55-60K out of a tire because Michelins that I buy are quiet ( except near the end of their tread life) handle well, and I get better than the fuel mileage that the vehicle is rated for by about 1 mpg on the hwy.

Great tires so far! Went from 16″ to 17″ and I think these might be smoother and definitely quieter and have better road manners than the OEM Hankook Kinergy GTs. Slightly firmer than the 16s over potholes but to be expected.

The other pluses outweigh that con. I wish there are more MICHELIN PRIMACY grand touring summer tires sold in the US.

These are originals on my 2017 Ford Edge SEL. Have about 51T kms. and need replacing. Only used about half the year as winter tires applied in season. Always check tire pressure and rotate as required.

Good traction and braking but poor longevity. Rather surprised as Michelins are usually true to their claim. Will look for a suitable replacement.

These Tires were original to my FWD 2014 Buick Regal Turbo. Rotated every 5K miles. They were comfortable, decent performance and overall good tires. I recently replaced them with Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 Plus.

These last a good long time, 100,000 miles, 50,000 miles each tire on the drive wheels which is right on par with the warranty. The reason I didn’t purchase these again is because they are really expensive.

I understand that they are touring sport tires so they have to be both comfortable and have good performance and tread life but when i switched to the continentals, the new tires were just as comfortable even though they’re ultra performance all season.

These tires run even more expensive than the critically acclaimed Michelin pilot sports. The MXM4s also have pretty thin soft side wall, maybe for comfort but it was flushed with the rim so no protection from curb rashing the rim.

The rubber compound is softer which makes for great stopping in wet but the trade off is they don’t last as long as rivals, especially for heavier vehicles like EVs. Overall a Good tire, but for the money you can buy a tire that offers more for less, including offerings from Michelin.

I purchased the Primacy Tour A/S ZP tires in a 245/40 19 size. This is a nice tire overall and matches with my Infiniti Q50S AWD nicely. I have about 30,000 miles on my odometer. However, I noticed a faint vibration sound at highway speeds.

There is no real vibration felt, but I fear time will only make this condition worse. The tires were Road Force balanced at time of purchase. The vibration sound got worse over time and after about 1000 miles I took my car in to my dealer describing and recording the noise I was hearing in the cabin.

We inspected the shocks, the front and rear drive shafts, the wheel bearings, checked the run-out of the wheels themselves and they are running true. We put the tires on their Road Force balancer and the weights were spot on.

The car was brought in a second time to the dealer at a later date as the vibration sound on the highway was slightly more noticeable and was distracting my driving experience, pulsing anywhere from 12-16 times a second.

Again, we looked at all suspension and driveline components, put a stethoscope on all rotating sections of the drivetrain and bearings, and the car checked out solid, checked out by the dealer’s master mechanic on this second visit.

So, the car was lowered from the hoist, a second mechanic got in the drivers seat and the car was lifted again. With the car started and running about 15 mph while up on the hoist. Being AWD all of the tires were spinning in the air.

We could see that as the tires rotated, each tire had a high spot, perhaps at a seam? The left front was the worst but each of the tires had that one spot that was high with the rest of the tire surface running true.

All of this pointed to the tires being responsible for that pulsing sound heard on the highway. Going back to the tire dealer, they graciously agreed to replace all of the tires, however they are currently on backorder.

For the meantime, they offered to put the tires on the Road Force balancer while we wait for backordered tires to become available, Being the third time these tires have been on the balancer, they once again were spot on and no adjustments were needed.

I am concerned that the replacement tires will have the same issue. I would have switched over to some other tire, but it is very difficult to find a Run Flat tire in this size, with a 94 load rating, a V or better speed rating, and a tread width comparable to the OEM tires.

While the Bridgestone Driveguard would be the next best replacement tire, its main drawback is the tire width is only 7 inches compared to the OEM Dunlop SP Sport 5000 tires at 8. 7 inches. That seems like a huge compromise for cornering traction.

(btw, the Dunlop SP Sport 5000 tires are by far the worst tires in every measurable category, and of any tires I have driven on in my 40+ years of car ownership. Are you listening Dunlop?) Ideally, I would have preferred to purchase a 245/40 19 Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4, or any other premium performance Michelin All Season tire.

However Michelin does not offer any other Run Flat tires in this size. I prefer to keep the run flat tires as no spare or spare mount is built into the car. Going back to the replacement tires, they will again be the Primacy A/S ZP.

I hope they don’t also have those high spots. If they do, I have no idea what other tire I would run. Michelin, you have an opportunity to provide a 245/40 19 tire as a replacement for 2014-2021 Infiniti Q50’s and other brands for Ultra High Performance Run Flats, and hopefully without the high spots like that with the Primacy.

I will say this though, the Primacy is a very respectable tires on many fronts. Outside of the high spot issue, the tire is impressively quiet, the drive is comfortable yet performance is available when asked, the cornering is exceptional even when pushing the car in the roundabouts, has excellent road manners over expansion cracks, very good in wet and dry, and frankly a great tire for those looking for a capable tire for general and spirited driving on the back roads.

The high spots take away from what would be rated as an excellent tire.

I bought a used Honda Accord V6 Coupe that had these as OEM tires. Two of the original tires were worn below my comfort level heading into winter in WI. My dilemma was to spend money on four new tires, upgrading to a much better tire at a much higher cost.

Or to buy two replacement OEM Michelin MXM4’s to get me through winter. I chose the latter. I was hesitant to buy new OEM replacements because of the terrible reputation they have. But I’m pretty happy with these.

The ride, noise level and handling of these MX’s are very good. Again, wouldn’t be my first choice if I had to buy a full set but I have no regrets for the money spent. All I can say about longevity is that the tires I removed, also MXM4’s were wearing evenly and still riding smoothly at about 45,000 miles.

Just not enough tread left (IMO) for the upcoming winter.

I have a 1990 Miata and these were some of the only few tires that were available for 14″ rims that were a name brand tire. That’s not to shame on cheaper brands, they can be very surprising in terms of value.

I ADORE these tires, especially for my rear wheel drive car. I’ve had them on for this season and last season as my dedicated winter tires. my others are performance summers. My dimensions are 185/60r14.

These tires first and foremost have amazing grip in slush and ice, similar to Bridgestone Blizzaks and Nokian Hakkapolitta 7’s, though those tires I’ve tried on other cars, as they aren’t available with a 14 inch diameter.

They have a great sense of road feel and your limits with grip, even in icy conditions, which comes in handy for controlling oversteer. They also do not have a tendency to “plow” or understeer in heavy snow.

On dry pavement they have soft sidewalls which is to be expected, however are decent in cornering grip, for a snow tire anyways. They perform flawlessly at any cold temperature and only start to get very soft around 60 degrees, which is to be expected.

They also have tend to have a “floaty” feel at higher speeds and you might find yourself swaying slightly and needing to correct. For reference, my alignment specifically my toe settings are within spec.

The tires have some noise especially on wet tarmac however they’re MUCH quieter than Blizzaks. I took a trip last year from New Hampshire to Ontario, down to Kentucky and then back. Different weather and temperatures, road conditions, and lots of highway and they were sturdy, straight, and decently quiet.

I’ve put 18,000 miles on these and they have plenty of life left. Overall these are wonderful, and less expensive than some other snow tires while offering huge value and performance. I’m very happy with these tires and they come in many different sizes and widths.

I worry about Michelin continuing to offer these tires. Nobody has 15 inch tires anymore, nevermind me with my tiny 14’s. If the company is reading this please continue to offer them in this size! You’ll absolutely have at least one customer (me!) for a long time to come.

These tires came with my 2018 Tesla Model 3 LR RWD and have been pretty good overall, but they didn’t last. For the performance of the car (mid-low tier by Tesla standards), they held up pretty well as far as traction in the warm dry and wet.

Even at very low tread (seen in pictures), they gripped a steep, rain-socked driveway all the way up with no problems. Tire rotations at 10k miles FEB2020 and 18k miles NOV2021. By service logs, treadwear was 6/32″ at 13.

5k miles and 2/32″ at 19k miles. I ran them longer since I was surprised it was already time to change the tires that are rated for 45k miles! They finally started to feel a little off when changing lanes on the highway, probably due to going bald at 28k miles.

Like many others, I am disappointed in the wear and probably won’t get these again.

Great, maximum use tires for the rough stuff. not a daily driver tire, serious mud,snow,rock workhorse. But you have to give a little. sreixt attention to air pressure , especially when temps are above 60degrees.

noisy, will “hump” up if sitting, will shake your teeth out on pavement when cold or sat for a while, but smooth out when warmed up. again, not a highway or daily driver tire. have used these for year for winter tire and mountain tire, and crawling tires.

Bought a set of 4 Q78/16 swampers for my 82 Toyota. Great mud tire. Tall and skinny (which is exactly what I wanted). Deep tread and ride much better than I expected. I didn’t bother balancing them. usually with swampers it’s kinda pointless.

and they actually ride really good. Bottom line is if you want an aggressive mud/off-road tire in an old school size these are a pretty good option.

These tires are awesome for anyone who is offroad and on mud and rocks allot. I have these on my off road vehicle and they have not failed me in 5 years. Very puncture resistant and they get traction in practicality any conditions.

This is my 2nd set and even with 4/32nds of tread left they still grip good. They do wear quick on the road but I use them on an 90% offroad vehicle and they’re nothing short of awesome. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for offroad maximum traction!.

I bought 4 of the Cross Climate 2 tires from Costco in October of 2020. They are superior on wet, icy snowy roads. In the past I have hydroplaned on other tires and on these, I don’t. I have a very difficult time getting the tires to break loose in snowy icy Roads ( I’ve tried!) get them rotated every 5-6000 miles because I drive A LOT.

I put 5000 miles on in February-march of this year on a road trip to the South. I have had 2 flat tires due to nails etc that they were able to repair. But 3 weeks ago I had a flat driving into work.

I changed the tie for the donut spare and called Costco to get in to repair it. When they saw it the next day they said I blew the tire and would need a new one. But they are having trouble ordering it Because of supply problems from Michelin? and they are trying to get the tire from another store.

It has now been 3 weeks and I finally broke down and bought a full size rim and spare because I need a car to get to work. I am a single, 59 year old woman who has only one car, and I need it to be drivable.

Hopefully you can start getting a supply chain going with Costco again so I can get my warranty replacement tire.

I got these tires for my Tesla Model 3 AWD to replace the stock Michelin Primacy tires. The first thing I noticed is that they make a bit more noise (something you notice in an EV). The wet weather performance has been pretty good, however, which is part of the reason I got them.

I drive on a lot of steep hills with curves, so having a tire with decent cold weather performance for freezing temperatures was key for me. I recently had the chance to try the tires on roads that have seen actual snow and I thought they did pretty well.

Got stuck on a steep incline covered in ice when I had to stop for traffic, but did not slide backwards and after switching to Slip Start, I was able to make my way up. There was a little lateral slip on ice bumps, but I never felt out of control.

Although brand new, I can’t help but be impressed. These replaced a set of Vredestein QUATRAC 5’s, and the difference couldn’t be more stark. I was alarmed at how squishy and wander lustful they were for the 1st 200km, they didn’t care for hard cornering.

exhibited harmonic distortion at cruising speed (120km/h) and in the end, didn’t last that long. On these so far however, noise is nearly non existent, a unicorn rarity for snow rated tires (mine is a sensory deprivation chamber of a car, even the engine noise is an artificially piped in soundtrack).

The handling even at the edge has been superb, the high speed stability rock solid having just driven for several kilometers at 160 Km/h (@ 100MPH) without any drama, and speaking of drama, we just had the 1st wet slushy snow of the year, which also included a drama free panic stop, and they performed admirably and securely.

Even if these were to suck in deep snow, I’m still extremely happy with the choice. I had picked the Vredestein’s because a) they were one of the only All Weather choices I had for my car 2 yrs ago, and b) they were, I thought, a good “value”.

These are hands down, a much better no compromise choice.
