17 Best Titanium Drill Bits (2022 Updated)

After breaking 2 bits from another brand, I went out and bought this 21 piece from Craftsman. I used 1 Craftsman bit to drill the remainder 4 holes on my utility trailer project with no problems. The quality difference was amazing.

I will only use Craftsman bits in the future.

This is my first drill and drill bit kit. Can someone please explain the logic in excluding the flat screw bit in the set? It would be so convenient to have a flat screw bit in the set, so all the pieces can be kept together.

These things a little and I am sure easy to loose. I would love a 22 pc set that includes everything I need.

I purchased this about a month ago at Lowes and it has been used at least half a dozen times. The drill bits are of good quality and durable. The bits are very usable and of a good variety to be useful in many appications.

The price was actually better than a competitors that did not have the shoulder on the drill bits.

The title pretty much says it. Good fit, good grip, and I’ve been using the same pair everyday for a month now. I’m a carpenter, not an accountant, so they get plenty of use. They’re no good when its cold, but why would they be? Get’em now.

And you better buy twenty pair, because since they’re good gloves they’ll stop making them or some engineer will “improve” them and we’ll be sunk.

Bought this in 40 ft. length to tie my RV awning down with so I wouldn’t have to put my awning up when the wind gets up. So far it has worked great. It is very strong and I would recommend it for whatever your need may be.

I’ve been using these gloves for a few years now. M-F every day I am gardening all day with these gloves on. I’ve tried others but have not had anywhere near the combination of agility and toughness.

After washing they are a little tighter, but stretch right out to fit your hand again.

Great gloves but don’t the manufacturers know that there are people with BIG hands. I’ve been everywhere including the manufacturer (Kinco) website. I would gladly pay a little more for 2XL, 3XL, & jumbo size gloves.

2 of my 5 man team have large hands and they will be cold again this year since I can’t give them insulated gloves that are reasonably priced.

It’s like all the IRWIN Titanium Coated drill bits. Cuts well and outlasts standard drill bits

On the first use the thickest and biggest of the drillbit broke. Tip was sharp but it cracked way too easily for a drill bit that are supposed to be durable. Love Milwaukee products but this one needs some improvement.

I love Milwaukees’ products, and collect them. But 3 or 4 of these broke almost immediately. And to the same drilling tasks that comparable bits had lasted weeks. Disappointed. But would love a free sample if they release a revision of these ;).

They break easy, and dull even easier. I will NOT buy Milwaukee twist bits again – a waste of my money.

Had a completely stuck lug nut on my 2004 Dakota. It would not budge from liquid penetrant, heat, a breaker bar+cheater pipe combination, or with a lug nut extractor socket. The only option was to drill out the wheel stud.

Used each bit in the Milwaukee set, one-by-one, increasing in size to remove metal. Each bit held up well to cutting against the wheel stud. Used bar & chain oil as my cutting lube. After using the 3/8″ bit, the nut still would not budge, so I finished with a 1/2″ ordinary black oxide bit.

At that point, the lug nut extractor socket was able to get the nut to turn and spin off. The Milwaukee set did most of the work of drilling out the wheel stud. Would recommend this product.

Bought this set specifically for drilling out Mopar rivets on my 20 year old truck’s ball joints. Got through 7 rivets on the passenger side going from small up to 1/2 inch bits 5+ hours lubricating the pilot holes with WD40.

Got to the driver’s side a few weeks later and noticed I wasn’t having as much success. well of course not because the bits need to be sharpened. Makes sense to me, after drilling out 7 hard steel rivets they would need to be sharpened.

12 hours total drilling, drills getting hot, bits getting hot, sometimes locking up, but not one breakage.

These drill bits are extremely hard but also extremely brittle. These bits are the prime example as to why manufacturers don’t make extremely hard bits for hand drills usually. If used correctly these bits will last quite a long time, if used incorrectly they will break first use.

If you know what you are getting these bits are fantastic. And I will buy more.

I bought these to replace an aging set of drill bits that I have. Price was good, titanium coated, multiples of commonly used sizes, great case. However, when using these with a good quality drill, I had 3 go dull within a few uses and one snap in half.

Was using them to drill out some rusted/seized screws and found the coating came off almost immediately and would lose their “bite” rather quickly. Went back to the older set and the rest came out. Was not applying too much force or trying to have them go through thick metal – they were small Robertson screws.

Would not recommend and would not buy again. You get what you pay for.

Well designed, manages to fit all the bits I need for use around the house (2x of the most common ones) while keeping the case quite compact and not taking too much room in my tool bag. I’ve only used it a handful of times to drill wood and metal boxes, but they seem to cut pretty well and don’t really walk.

I’d give it 5 stars if it was just a tad easier to pull the bits out of the sleeve.

Very good quality for the price. Get this if you are looking for a single drill bit that’s included in the set.

5 stars for the bits themselves. 3. 5 stars for the case. Milwaukee quality bits. As good as expected. IF you know the pros and cons of titanium. Titanium is a COATING on the bits. When the coating wears off, the bit is just a regular steel (or high speed steel, HSS) bit.

They CAN be resharpened, but the bit tip will not be titanium coated any more. That’s why I definitely do NOT recommend these for metal. Use only on softer materials, and the titanium coating will last longer, AND resharpening a dulled bit will not cause the bit to stop functioning well with soft materials (though it will not function AS well once the titanium coated has worn away).

For metal drilling, use cobalt bits (and: do plenty of research before buying. TTP Hard drill bits, 5% cobalt, are my choice for a hand drill vs. metal. ) Con: while examining the product for this review, pinched the crap out of my finger when closing the case.

Pinched at the hinge, where my pinky naturally “sits” while holding the open case. It’s forming a blood blister now. Note: remove the little clear plastic “supports” underneath the drill bit holders (one on each side of the case) before levering out the drill bit holders.

Warning: bits are quite sharp. I didn’t cut myself, but I recommend using gloves when removing drill bits from this case. The case seems hefty, not likely to break with rough treatment. The latch, however, is not as heavy-duty as I would like.

I can imagine it growing brittle and breaking with age, or perhaps even breaking with rough treatment. The drill bits are a LITTLE difficult to remove from the new case, I expect that will be less of a problem with use.

MY WISH LIST (for purchasers, these are “cons”, for you, Milwaukee, if you’re reading this, these are suggested improvements) – I wish the case latch were heavier duty – I wish the bit removal and push-in pull-out of the bit holders was less stiff – I wish each row of bit holders pivoted separately.

As it is, it’s difficult to read the size markings on the bits in the back row and a little difficult to pull out the shorter bits. (Only one pivoting “hinge” on each side, each side has two rows of bits) – I wish the case hinge was a solid full-length rod, no gap, no pinch – I wish that you offered a 1/16″ to 1/2″ impact-rated titanium drill bit package that increased bit sizes by 16ths.

You only get up to 1/2″ bit with the 29-bit set. It would be really nice – for price and size – if I could have bought an 8-bit set (by 16ths), or even a 15-bit set (by 32nds), that included bits up to 1/2″ size.

(The Milwaukee 10-piece and 23-piece impact-rated titanium sets only go up to 3/8″, you have to get this 29-piece set to get up to 1/2″ in a boxed set. ).

I have been using Milwaukee power tools and accessories for years now. I live in Canada and tools and accessories and the prices are over inflated. I do agree you need to get what you paid for so I bought this 29pc drill bit set for $100.

00 Canadian. That was the biggest waste of $100. 00 I ever spent. All these bits are breaking at the hex shaft on there first use. I tried going back to Home Depot where I bought them from with a handful of these broken bits.

Home Depot tells me there is no warranty on drill bits. I fought with them because they did cost me $100. 00 and they said I was SOL. So I only have 4 original bits left out of 29pc’s. Never again will I buy any kind of Milwaukee bits.

I bought these to go with my Milwaukee drills. These are titanium and built to last. They hold up better than any other bit I have used. They range in size from 1/16 to 1/2 inch in diameter. They are also quick connect into an impact driver.

I will mainly use these for metal and wood projects.

This is an inexpensive cobalt bit package considering the number, sizes and quality of cobalt bits you receive. The bits are not cheap bits in the sense that they are poorly made. They are not production bits however and will not hold up under constant uninterrupted use without sufficient lubrication or if run at the wrong drill speed for the metal being drilled.

If you take the time to look up metal drilling requirements on the web, use a slow feed and don’t exert lots of pressure when you drill, they will not lose their temper, will not lose their cutting ability and will last a very long time.

A great set to have when you’ve tried everything else and your only option left is to drill out damaged fasteners.

Useful tool. Needed 11/32″ drill bit to bore 4 holes in 4X4 Simpson recommended cap post support connector. FEDEX ground delivery to Oregon from midwest delayed and slowed the project. 11/32 inch drill bit hard to find in my area of Oregon.

Would recommend to anyone requiring bore hole for recommended Simpson support.

Although have seen an advertisement, and I knew all those features, they sounded like little bit overemphasised. SO I know those drill bits have to god. At leas not worse than others. But i have never thought it would be that good! Look, the trick here is Impact Drive.

If you use them in a regular bit driver it is one thing but if you put them in Impact Drive, this thing go through metal lake butter. It just flies through. I cannot describe it. No words will help you understand.

You have to feel it. Only then you know. Highly recommend!.

The case is awesome the bits look really nice, however all the bits have fallen out of place and I cant see the bit numbers on the bits. If I can get them in the right places then I will hang them on the wall.

Cheap container in the loose ends filled out. They don’t seem very sturdy

I have not used them yet. When i do i will gladly let you know.

Tried with the drill bit and worked fine. Strong bits for DIY projects.

The slippery Ti coating keeps the aluminum from building up on and in the flutes. Will buy more.

This 21 piece Hart brand titanium drill bit set is fantastic. I love the fact that the tips of each drill bit 1/8 inch and larger are a split point tip that helps prevent the bit from walking when initially trying to start drilling.

Another great feature is several of the very common size drill bits are quantity of 2 each. The largest drill bit, the half inch drill bit, has a 3-flat shank. That’s great for drills that don’t have a larger than normal standard chuck.

All of the smaller drill bits are not shanked because they fit in a typical standard drill chuck. It is the half inch size and above drill bits that typically don’t fit standard drills. I wish all manufacturers would do this.

They are extremely sharp and drill rapidly but like with any drill bit you have to be careful not to overheat to preserve long life. The provided case is surprisingly small considering it’s 21 drill bits in total, but it is neatly organized.

I would expect these drill bits the last a long time as some of the prior titanium drill bits like I owned in the past. Walmart’s advertised price for this drill bit set is a great value.

As a homeowner I was looking for a good quality tool bit set that would be there to tackle any job at any time with bits all in one box. Bosch is always top quality and for the price I thought Id give this 50 piece set a crack.

This is a great addition to my collection. I feel confident in the quality of this drill bit set, not just the brand. I believe for the price you cant go wrong. Anyone starting out DIY who wants to grab their first drill bit set then look no further.

50 pieces is more than enough for assembling things at home inside and out and general repairs too. This is a win win for any homeowner like me who doesnt need to break the bank with an expensive set.

Very pleased with the quality of this set. Good selection of drill bits and screwdriver bits. Handy retractable knife included and counter sink bit. 3 small sockets which I didn’t realise would be included.

All in all a brilliant set.

Bought myself a new Bosch cordless drill before Christmas, and decided to add this set of bits to go with it. I used the masonry bits for the first time today and they are absolute garbage! Drilling a couple of 6mm holes to locate plugs for screws in a brick wall, the bit turned into butter! At first I thought the drill itself was just low on power as I was getting nowhere fast, but on closer inspection the bit had turned into a centre punch! I stuck an old Black & Decker bit into the drill and the 2 holes were sorted in seconds.

Haven’t used any of the other bits yet, but if they are anything like the first one then this set is a complete waste of money – happy enough with the drill though.

It would seem every tool box drill to bits. Whether your a DIYer or Handy Man or Pro drill bits sooner or later are needed. These Warrior drill bits are an super great deal and are plentiful 29 bits.

A really nice hard shell case is another great feature. FYI I also have 2 Warrior cordless drills that I love. Warrior I find is a good choice and very good product for the money. You just cant go wrong for these products.

Even a Pro should have these for a back up having to hold up the job because of broken drill bit is not necessary with these great deals. I bought 2 sets and glad to have have them in my tool box.

I needed decent drill bits in small fraction steps. This set filled the bill. While not anything to write home about, they work for most applications if you 1) don’t run then too fast & 2) keep them lubricated with oil, WD40 or something similar while drilling.

I bought the small bench grinder to resharpen them. The key there is knowing how to do it. For the money, they work if you use them correctly. If you’re going to put then in a drill and pull the trigger full throttle, with no coolant, they won’t last.

Not much will. Spend the money on better drill bits if you want long term use.

For the money you annot beat for just general drilling. If they wear out you just go buy a new set. I keep one set that i work out of and as they get dull or break i just pull one out of the spare set and replace it.

If i get low one from the spare set i get another set when i am in the store next. I then throw the dull one into a bin of drills to be sharpened. Get to that once a year or so. Great price for a decent set of bits.

Great addition to my range of drills etc. Really compact and lightweight container giving you all your basic needs for the drilling/screwing jobs. Decent price when compared to other suppliers.

Bought as a present for my youngest son who is just moving into an unfurnished property with his girlfriend. Nice assortment of everything he needs, plus a bonus of a snap-off knife.

I used this to drill through my vehicle frame. The steel was at lease 1/4 to 3/8 inch thick. I have a set of good DeWalt drills that could not do the job. This drill did; It drilled through that frame like it was drilling through wood.

Nice and easy, no vibration, make sure you use good drill oil or wax to hold down the friction temperature. I do recommend this Milwaukee Red Helix 3/8 in. X 5. 12 in. L Steel Thunderbolt Drill Bit.

These bits are awesome! A strange point configuration to be sure, but they perform great. Boring 3/8″ thick Type 304L stainless steel; 13/32″ bit, no pilot holes, work pieces held with a jig on the drill press table, 300 RPM, heavy pressure / high feed rate, oil lubricant applied via squirt can, about 20 seconds per hole.

Most holes produced a continuous cutting from each flute.

You would think, being a Milwaukee product, that this bit would be high quality. It’s not. I had to purchase three of them just to put ~20 holes in 1/4″ steel (yes, using low speed and keeping the bit lubricated).

The first bit only drilled 6 holes before it was completely dull. the second one, only 2. I’m beyond disappointed in this product and have submitted a complaint asking for a refund of the two additional bits that I shouldn’t have had to buy.
