20 Best Titanium Pry Bar (2022 Updated)

Got sick of the heavy steel in my tool bag (not that it can truly be replaced), this little guy is just wonderful to use for most framers and builders. I get it’s pricey, but if you’re a builder boy is it worth it.

I gave it 4 stars, because it was too easy to dent and damage the tip when you hammer it in to grab the nail. Obviously you have to be a bit more careful and shouldn’t use it on large nails, but hey I had to push the limit.

Otherwise it’s a great tool, especially how the support structure has been cut out to make it even lighter.

Though its expensive its a nice upgrade over my steel nail puller from the home improvement store. I purchased this in an attempt to lighten my rig a bit. Its notably lighter. The claws are sharp. Havent found the dimpler to be especially useful.

Great Titanium nail puller worth paying extra for over the steel version. The purpose of this bar is for pulling nails and not prying boards themselves off of decks so if you want a wrecking bar for demolition then obviously you are going to use a large bar over this nail puller.

I have been needing these and they don’t disappoint. Good price and sturdy. I have beat on the handle with a hammer on several occasions and they have held up well. I expect they’ll break at some point but am impressed they haven’t yet.

Sturdy and capable. Only minus is the handles are hard to clean, but that is minor.

I bought these on a whim. It turns out these are great. I have used them for nails; pulling and digging out, removing trim, scraping paint, and on and on. They are quickly becoming my favorite tools.

I have purchased several more sets for gifts.

I lost my 50 year of pry bar when replacing a subfloor. I used it to get under laminate and subfloor material before a larger pry was used. Unfortunately I lost mine and were able to find these on line, which work GREAT.

And, I got two for one with a great price. I would recommend highly.

I’m a professional finish carpenter. I always have one of these in my apron and use it constantly all day long. Strong and durable. I have used these for decades. I found one on a commercial job back in the 80’s on a job site.

It was the same thing but made by Red Devil. Still have it but nice to have sharp new ones.

A finish carpentry prybar/scraper is one of my go-to tools when doing any type of finish trim work. Ive usually gotten the blue gray bars at Home Depot or Lowes. I saw these tight and stay in the steel bars for around $18 and decided to give them a shot.

These things are freaking awesome!! The bars taper to a nice thin, sharp edge. This allows for getting into tight spots and scraping caulk like a hot knife through butter. Also, they are stainless steel, so there is no paint that will rub off, and they maintain a spectacular appearance throughout usage.

Everyone at work wants me to get them a set of these bars. They rock! I am happy and recommend this item to anyone in need of a tool like this.

Heavy duty! No chance of bending these bars. Super sharp as well! Placed the order on a friday evening, they were at my door on Monday with standard shipping.

I purchased these small pry bars for general construction & mechanical work. I use them mostly for removing nails from salvage wooden baseboard & door trim. Very good quality tools.

I’m a professional Finish/Trim Carpenter who works on high-end custom homes. I use flat/pry bars on a daily basis and had one of these gifted to me a while back. Unfortunately I lost the pry bar after a little while so I decided to buy a new set.

These aren’t the most rigid/sturdy pry bars I’ve owned but they get the job done 95% of the time. There’s a similar set of blue painted pry bars that HD sells and they are more rigid. What those don’t have is the almost razor thin/sharp ends.

The thin ends comes in handy quite often when removing mouldings. The thin ends allow me to remove boards while causing less damage to the moulding and whatever it’s attached to. And since they’re stainless steel, they don’t leave any blue paint marks behind like the others I mentioned.

So overall, these are the pry bars I carry around and use every day because they’re better at almost everything than the alternatives.

My husband loved it. I got it as a stocking stuffer and it was just what he was wanting. Thumbs Up.

Great tool for the money and works as it should

The mini pry bar is a wonderful addition to my daily work at an open pit mine here in Utah. It has a wide shaft and is heavy duty for any small hand held tool you need to pry metal and rock with. But the larger bars have a smaller shaft size which makes them difficult to get any leverage with because they just bend before you get much pressure on them at all.

They look great and feel great in your hand. I have a couple Matco bars and they do wonders, the dominator set compared to the matco is no competition. They will obviously work for lighter duty jobs and are probably superb for lighter weights as the shaft length to width doesn’t match up well to allow the maximum amount of pressure before the bar bending to a curve being used on heavier metals and materials.

Bought this set to take to work and liked um so much Ive kept them at home and took my craftsman set to work. Very well made and these things have some weight to them. You can really see and feel the quality.

Really like the handles aswell. Have really put out on um and have yet to have one over flex. Have bought quite a few Mayhew products and am really impressed with everything so far. USA made quality at an affordable price.

Buy them you wont regret it.

I have been missing a quality pry bar in my tool box for a while. After I had a seized steering shaft that required the use of on I decided to find one. While looking through a tool store I stumbled on these Milwaukee pry bars.

A set of 4, lifetime warranty, excellent price. I have lots of Milwaukee power tools, might as well try these too. Turned out I used the strike through feature on the first job, trying to break apart an exhaust joint on a Diesel Particulate Filter housing.

The small pry bar worked excellent to get the piece apart, and the large one helped get the assembly back into the vehicle. I am glad I found them. They will get lots of use and abuse.

I’ve had these pry bars for over a year as an automotive technician and they have held up great. As another reviewer mentioned, the chrome finish does chip at times, and mine are well worn, but I didn’t buy these for aesthetics! The sharper angle on the pry bars is good at times and more difficult at other times, but there’s give and take in any design.

I lost one of my pry bars and was disappointed to find that I could not order them individually. Ended up ordering a professional quality pry bar off of amazon that works fine, although I prefer the Milwaukee handles.

The case/tray is nice to have as well, although if you’re not working out of a large toolbox you may have difficulty using it, as it’s not as compact as some of the tool truck pry bar trays. Overall, tool truck quality at an excellent price, would recommend to anyone, apprentice or master technician.

These are very high quality steel and can be sharpened to pry apart close fitting parts. The I beam construction allows the leverage to be applied to the correct point. I used them within first week I owned them.

I was looking to buy a putty knife to use to remove tack boards without damaging my finished hardwood floors and there just happened to be a store associate stocking an item next to me so I asked him which putty knife would be best.

He told me there is something better and walked me a couple of isles over and pointed me to this item. He said that it has the small thin piece that helps, and you pull one strip up and move on to the next one.

After I got the hang of it, things went quickly. Thank you to the store associate!.

Very handy for finish work. Excellent for trim removal where marking/denting the molding is unacceptable; the broad, thin blade spreads the force over a large area. Durable, spring steel; taping with a hammer and hitting a nail did nothing to the blade.

I have a pellet stove that needs to be cleaned after each use. The larger pry bar of the three is great for scraping the creosote from the burn pot. It is thinner and much easier to scrape the creosote off.

Wish I had this several years ago.

I like solid feel of the pry bar. It should be able to handle some abuse. The one big draw back is the sharpness of the point on the carbide tip. If you have it clipped to the inside of your jean pocket it will poke you if you bend too far forward.

It would also poke your hand if you brush it while reaching into your pocket. I don’t understand why they made it so sharp. Most carbide breakers on knives or multi tools are more rounded on the point.

Still plenty focused on the point of impact to break glass but not enough to injury the users if they press against it.

Just got it recently and I find the pry bar very fun and fascinating. The titanium is extremely stiff and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to bend it, not that I’m going to attempt that much force. Nice little tungsten carbine tip which is good to know that I have, just in case I need to bust a window.

it surprisingly makes a great fidget tool as well. Gonna keep this one me for a while.

Of course this isn’t going to replace an actual crowbar, or claw hammer, but all I was hoping for was something that could open a box, scribe, or maybe do some light prying without being ridiculously large.

This turned out to be quite a solid little piece of machining that will do all I ask of it and more. Win!.

Stiletto Trim Bar (5 oz. ) is an awesome tool for removing delicate trim for reuse. The bar is light, easy to carry in a tool pouch, long enough to provide leverage for this type of task, and has a sharp tail for breaking a paint bead and getting under the edge of moulding w/o the damage you tend to get w/cheaper bars.

Yeah, its not the most inexpensive bar around. But unless someone steals it on you, youll never have to buy another.

Replaced an old beat up trim bar, same configuration as the Stiletto. I wear my tool belt just about everyday so I could immediately feel the difference in just a few ounces of less weight. I also have the dimpler framing nail puller from Stilletto which I use when framing.

Just buy it.

I bought this as a gift for my fiancee who is in carpentry, and has been slowly replacing his belt tools with lighter weight titanium versions. This replaced a Stanley trim bar that was double the weight.

He hasn’t been using it for more than two weeks now but so far there are no complaints. He’s been using it on the job and in our home renovation and it’s performed as expected while taking a few ounces out of his tool belt.

Before I used to use a razor blade and very slowly would dig into the gaskets and such to separate things. But after using this that I bought on a whim I see how useful it is and how it gets into small nooks and crannies and you can hammer it with a mallet into small spaces.

It’s now part of my immediate toolbox said that I carry with me at all times.

This tool just happened to be at the right place at the right time. I didn’t expect to find this tool at autozone but used my reward credit to get this. Wear some gloves if your using it for heavier hammer work to help with the vibration.

That’s all and I got it cause it was a nice flat pry bar.

They seem to be just as good of quality as the name brands. I would recommend these for the price.

Well this is a rod. It’s a very special rod with a beak hook at the end. It’s a rod that can be used in the way a rod should be used. Beak hook rods are among the most vaulted rods ever devised.

Good tool and good price, around 20$. Matco tools has these with a slightly longer and extra long versions with decorative features but otherwise same design but much higher price, 110$ And 140$

I bought this to pull seals, etc. at work. It lasted about 6 months before the adjustable mechanism gave out. While it was working it did everything I asked it to. For the money I would buy it again and plan on running down to my local shop to replace it under warranty.

While some have complained that these tools are not that strong I argue that it all depends on how/where you use them. If you’re tying to lift the side of a building or roll your car back over it probably will fail you.

However, if you use them in a realistic manner, in my case in the automotive industry, then it will do the job perfectly. Not to mention that the heads, albeit hard sometimes to move, are adjustable.

So imagine if you only needed a small lever assist on something; you simply have to rotate the head and bam! it works.

I’m a Snap-on fan but these do seem really really good for the price. They are way cheaper than the Snap-On ones. The finish isn’t great out of the box but I just used a wire wheel to get the excess clearcoat off the foot.

Once that was done they work great.

I bought this set of pry bars for changing lawn mower tires. I know I will use them for many other jobs, but at the time I bought to help remove and replace lawn mover tires. Replacing the tires was still a pain in the back side, but was much easier with the pry bars.

These worked great for overhauling my CTS-V’s supercharger. I had to pry the snout off of the supercharger body, and the various sizes of pry bars in this pack made the job simple.

Good for the price . Just as good as SO or Matco stuff. You break it bring it back. You break it you shouldn’t be a mechanic. Just saying

I mainly purchased this pry bar for the opposite end, which is a drift pin. Good quality. Made simple work of aligning several 3/4 inch holes at the base of my amateur radio tower. I was able to make the holes line up in seconds by lifting a 2000 pound 70 foot tower.

The right tool for the job. Great price.

Bought for one purpose, to bend a thick metal bracket back in place. Worked fantastic! Had to use a lot of force and the bar held up well, not like some of the bent ones residing in my toolbox.

I’ve owned this for at least 10 years and it has been used on numerous jobs including demolition and trim work. It has not chipped, bent, or broken. The edge thickness is just right to ne tough but still get behind most things.

If a very thin edge is needed I use a scraper to get it out a little bit for this to fit. I have two other shark prybars for various sizes and they are all great.

Better than any other similarly shaped bar. Puller end is sharp and shaped correctly. Flat end is also shaped correctly (good curve, wide blade) and thin to get behind trim with much less damage than almost any other on the market.

Stores. Indespenseabl finish carpenters tool. Well machined and light enough to carry in your toolbag Lost the one I had for 18 years. Glad I was able to find a replacement.
