20 Best Toddler Hair Brush (2022 Updated)

I love my Fridababy Thick or Curly Hair Detangler Wide-tooth Comb & Bristle Combo. I definitely recommend this product to everyone with thick or curly hair or have kids with thick or curly hair. I have both really thick and curly hair.

I have tried so many different types of detanglig products. Both detanglig spray and detanglig brushes that didn’t work at all. That’s why I absolutely love this product because it actually works. I love that it isn’t pulling or breaking and damaging my hair.

It is really gentle on my scalp. Also you can use this product on both wet or dry hair. The lightweight ergonomic handle makes it so much easier to hold on to. I love that the brush actually stands upright which is a total first for me.

I really like that it also comes with a slide-in case that protects bristles and makes it easy to take take with you as well. DON’T USE WITH BLOW DRYER AND DON’T PUT IT IN BOILING WATER. The Detangler is so amazing and easy to use.

I use it on both my hair and my kids hair as well. Thanks to this product there are no more tears, running away and standing upside down from my kids which is absolutely wonderful. I absolutely love this Detangler that actually works so much better than any other products that I have tried.

I am not exaggerating when I say this brush is the best brush I have ever used for my daughter’s hair. She’s 4 and has her hair down to the middle of her back. The texture of her hair is like mine, fine, but she has a lot of it.

She always wakes up with a proverbial rat’s nest (as my mother referred to masses of tangles) smack dab in the middle of the back of her head. I used to dread brushing her hair in the mornings before school.

Now, with this Frida Baby Detangling brush, i have no worries. With a brush that had the same detangling claims as this one, I would use detangling spray but it would take at least 5 minutes to work my way through her hair, oftentimes longer.

I still use the detangling spray but only where it’s needed now, and start in with the Frida Baby brush and it takes 2 minutes tops to get her hair smoothed out. I honestly don’t know what the secret is with this magical brush.

The bristles are spaced out a bit and are thin and flexible. It comes with a handy cover to keep the bristles’ shape. The only improvement I could see with this magic wand is maybe a bit of grippy coating on the handle which is still quite comfortable to hold as is.

Not that I expect it to any time soon but I will definitely be buying another one of these when this one shows signs of wearing out. I HIGHLY recommend this brush for the tender-headed lil one in your life.

We wanted to give this brush a try since it says thick or curly hair my daughter is five and has very long hair never cut before. We started using after showers and it worked amazing it was easier to brush than any of her brushes and she didn’t fuss so thats a plus for us.

We then tried it when her hair dried from a shower and it was a bit harsh on her hair I started at the bottom working my way to the top and I felt the tugging and pulling then I heard something fall it was a piece of the comb a pick broke.

I think this brush is great but maybee not for her hair length if it was shorter hair it be amazing but there is many hair types out there you must try for your self or childs hair. I think for hair to thin it wouldn’t be that great as the bristles of the comb hurt a tad bit I tried on the top of my head and bothered me a bit.

I think the hair on the comb is quite normal we all loose hair daily and its going to wind up on our brush daily, I did notice some smaller hairs on the floor when I brushed her but her hair is a bit damaged on the ends so that may be the reason for that.

Besides those things the brush seems its quite good great quality I do love the ease to clean it after every use and the brush cover keeps it clean and look organized easier to carry along. I do understand this brand is focused on younger users but like I mentioned above we were curious about this brush and love trying new brands and see what works on my daughters hair she has had long hair since she was born.

It’s soft, does it’s proper job as a brush without being harsh on a babies head and new hair. I have had no problems with it, nor complaints. A strand of hair may fall out every once in a while but seems well constructed and that hasn’t been something noticeable nor a problem at all.

Weird but probably to be expected, smells exactly like a goat, even after washing, but thankfully doesn’t make your baby smell like a goat too. Made in China.

We absolutely love this hair brush. The goat hair bristles are beautiful & soft. They glide easily through damp & dry hair. The wooden brush itself is also beautiful & great to hold. The overall look gives it an O’natural look which I absolutely love as a eco friendly Mum.

I used this set for both my son and daughter when they were born. The combs are gently on their hair and have a sturdy quality. They have lasted for years. I would recommend this product for first time parents.

We recently bought this to replace a version we had (and lost) awhile ago. My daughter no longer cries and runs away when I try to brush her hair. She refuses to wear hair ties, so we keep it brushed as much as possible to avoid severe tangles.

It’s gentle enough that the tangles don’t bother her as much when I’m trying to get her ready in the morning.

Unlike many baby combs and brushes, this set is sturdy. The comb has a handy rubber grip in the center while the brush has a rubbery end for easy handling while holding a fresh washed baby in one arm and having only one hand free for grooming said little one.

I wish the narrower bristled end of the comb was a little smaller for fine baby hair but otherwise it’s a good set.

This really is the sort of baby brush set I wish I’d got when my daughter was first born. She’s almost 18 months old now and this set is is still suitable to use on her hair. The set includes a comb and two brushes.

One brush has soft goats hair bristles and the other has ridged bamboo bristles. The bristles seem to be well attached and the goats hair brush hasn’t shed any bristles while I have been using it. They’re a bit larger than most baby brushes I’ve seen in the past, there are though a good size to use on my toddler.

The handles are made from beautiful finished and ergonomically shaped solid beechwood. The handles appear to be varnished and the wood sealed. The company logo is pressed on the the handle. I think they look really well made and presented.

My daughter has short, fine and slightly curly hair; I’ve tried both brushes in her hair and they both work on it. The bamboo bristled brush helps to get the knots out of her hair and the goats hair brush helps to make it look smooth and tidy.

There’s also a comb made out of solid pear wood. My impression of this was that the teeth were slightly too wide for it to work properly in my daughters hair type. The whole set comes in a reusable cardboard storage box.

The set is lovely and it’s something I would consider giving as a gift to new or expectant parents as it’s something I would have liked to receive and found useful when my daughter was first born too.

We have little soft bristle brushes, the traditional small kind, but this brush is something else: it straightens her wavy hair and makes it so shiny, and because the brush is made of goat hair it’s so soft and she actually enjoys me brushing her hair every morning.

I’m sure the soft brush has helped us with her cradle cap which is pretty much all gone now, and there’s no risk of the brush interfering with the soft spot either as it’s so smooth and gentle. The handles are a good size for adults to brush their little one’s hair, and generally they feel lovely.

They look great, being handmade with all natural materials, and would be a thoughtful and appreciated present for any new parent. I can’t recommend this enough. I haven’t needed to use the bamboo bristle brush as of yet but I’ve used it on my own hair and it’s great and non-tuggy, so I’ll have to wait for my little one to get more hair.

But overall, this set is just what I needed to keep her hair healthy and managed, and it’ll only be used more as she gets older. What a lovely set, and for a good price too!.

I think this set is rather expensive but it is beautiful and would make a lovely gift. However, when it arrived, shaking it made the box sound like a rattle. This is where I discovered that the silica gel packet had split open inside; I think it had got caught on the bristles of the brush or comb.

Do bear this in mind when opening around small people. The outer box was wrapped in cellophane. The main box makes a lovely presentation box and I think it is all beautifully put together. The bamboo comb is light, soft to use and feels sturdy to use.

The bamboo hair brush is padded, comfortable to use and not rough on the scalp. The goat’s hair brush is delightfully soft and gentle; ideal for newborns. I like that both brushes have a carry loop, although be sure to keep them away from babies.

This is all excellent quality and lovely to use. It is perfect for young babies and a good set to have when cradle cap sets in. I highly recommend it, just be careful about the gel insert.

The gifted mother of the brush is using it to brush the baby’s hair and it is helpful to put him to sleep. The couple was thrilled to replace the plastic brush that the hospital provided. They were afraid to use plastic one his newborn head.

These are so cute! I give these a 4 stars simply because I was not able to use the brush as much. My girls are one and their hair is starting to grow out – the brush didn’t do anything but I am sure that for a baby with a little bit of hair, it would work fine.

Now the comb, I use on a daily basis. Like I mentioned, my kids’ hair is growing and esp after they wake up their hair is a little tangled at the ends. Very easy to run through afterwards and after baths.

This is such a cute Minnie brush and comb set. It features a Minnie head on the comb. While the top of the brush is shaped like Minnie’s with a pink polka dot bow. Minnie’s name is also wrote across the back of the brush which makes it even more cuter.

The bristle are soft and brushes my daughters fine hair smoothly. This is a great set for newborns and infants to have. And if you gently rub your baby’s head with the brush after bath time it is also great to help get rid of craddle cap.

This Disney brush set is so adorable and appears to be of great quality. It has the signature Minnie Mouse head with pink bow and is just perfect for any little princess. It’s so eye-catching and makes my little one want to try brushing her hair herself! She’s able to hold it well thanks to the easy-grip handles and the soft bristles don’t hurt her head.

The comb also makes it so easy to detangle her hair.

This brush is great! I purchased it based on the good reviews and I’m so glad I did. As part of bedtime routine I’ve always brushed my daughter’s hair (aka peach fuzz at some points in her little life) and we never dealt with any cradle cap.

I can not determine if that’s because of the brush or because she just wasn’t going to get it, but I don’t doubt that it helped! She also loves having her hair brushed. On nights she’s getting fussy because she’s tired and ready for bed, I’ll brush her hair and she’ll smile and calm down to be ready for bed.

I ordered sprouts learning brush and comb combo for my toddler who I was trying to teach how to brush her hair alone. Overall it is a very well-made adorable set, and it’s perfect for a little hands.

She has a very fine hair and this brush does not rip it out so I would definitely recommend it for anyone with baby fine hair! The only thing to be on the lookout for is when they try to brush your hair they are very hard brushes so when they get bored brushing your hair and they smack you with the brush it actually does hurt.

First of all I just love Fridababy products, the quality is extremely high and they are perfect for little babies. This set of hairbrush and comb is perfect for my 2 month old infant:gentle care is great for my sensitive baby and his skin.

He has dandruff, so what I did I put a little baby oil and then slowly brushed it off with the comb and then with hairbrush. It did help me to clear his head skin and he didn’t even notice that I was brushing which is great for me because earlier he didn’t let me to brush his head.

I also use the set while bathing, I think it helps to get rid of extra skin that most newborns have. It’s great that it doesn’t take a lot of space so I can use it on the go, it fits any bag and even pockets, great for outside before we take pictures.

The case is very convenient, innovative as it’s so little and covers brush and comb so it doesn’t expose to potential bacterias. Overall this is the best Infant hair care set, in my opinion.

My son has a ton of hair for a newborn and we use this brush and comb combo all the time. We is the hairbrush in the bathtub as well to help really get the soap throughout his hair and do help remove any dry skin.

I love how the comb and brush clip together in a case. I have used other baby brushes and combs and I prefer this one over the others because of the curved shape and ease of use. Love that the comb is held in my palm to make the combing that much more gentle on their little heads.

I really like how it curves to the shape of baby’s head. Work well on fine wet infant hair. Doesn’t create more flakiness. I don’t care for the comb too much. It’s just a comb. but I like that it can all be store together nicely.

The color of the comb is a nice gender neutral color. I always look for things this color so that there is some cohesiveness in my diaper station drawers and diaper bag. I hate everything being all mismatched.

If I could change one thing. I’d make it easier to grip while brushing my baby’s hair. I have dropped it several times.

With hip length hair I was skeptical this little thing could pull its weight and put a dent in these tresses but seeing as I’m a tiny thing myself I should have remembered the adage about small packages and dynamite.

It would take me many tearful frustrating hours to tame a knot on a single side, now maybe 45 minutes and I’m all knot free and styled. My only gripe? I constantly drop the brush or it flies out of my hand, I’m still trying to acclimate to such a different design.

I have a couple of these. One I use for my hair, it is naturally curly and colour treated. I find this gentle, but effective at removing knots and generally smoothing out my hair, without breakage. They now do one with a handle which I think would suit me better, although this one is quite comfortable to hold, I think a handle will make it more efficient, as my hair is quite long.

The other one I have, I use on my cats bedding (I’ve labelled it to avoid mixing them up lol) she’s a hairy cat 🐱 and this works a dream on faux fur furniture and blankets – the vacuum cleaner is useless as her fur is so fine.

This is my favorite hair brush. It detangle a my hair so easily without hurting. The bristles are short and very bendable which makes it so that if you come across a knot while brushing the bristles slip away from it.

This is really good because you shouldn’t force a brush or comb through a knot. You need to brush it out with short, very light strokes starting at the ends and working upwards as the hair untangles.

This brush is perfect for that. It helps release the tangled hair without catching on the knot in a way that hurts or damages the hair. This is the only brush I use now for detangling.

Bought this for my daughter and she loves it! Doesn’t take a lot of effort to get the knots out and it doesn’t pull as much as other brushes. My daughter has fine, thicker in between wavy and straight hair.

Would definitely recommend.

This brush is not for curly heads! Ouch! The brush literally grasps every single hair in your scalp. It took off way too many hairs and it was just too harsh. I usually buy Wet brushes because I do not feel anything while detangling my jungle and I was under the impression this would do an even better job because the bristles are different lengths.

But, no no. This brush it good for straight her I bet. My fav thing is the design because I hate grabbing handles on brushes.

I purchased this at Tjmaxx because they didn’t have my go to brush. The print is very cute however it is not as smooth when taking out tangles. Especially after the shower. But it was super cheap like $3 you can’t beat that!.

I hemmed and hawed for weeks about this purchase, trying to decide between the sensitive and extra. I nearly purchased from an unauthorized seller and I’m SO glad I found b-glowing. Purchasing from an authorized retailer is super important.

Beyond that, this brush is amazing. I have super fine hair that’s on the thinner side of average. I did end up purchasing the extra bristle in pocket size as well, and the verdict is that I love them both! The sensitive provides much gentler scalp stimulation.

The extra distributes my scalp oils a bit better but I find that I use these brushes together (my hair type just falls in between the two categories it turns out! Neither is definitively better for me).

I’m not suggesting everyone buy two bristle types in two sizes, but because I did and they both work for me, I can say for sure that if you have a sensitive scalp and/or very thin hair – the sensitive brush is heaven sent.

I love it and it is gentle and effective on my really long, baby fine hair. My hair density falls between thin and medium, so the extra bristle also works for me. If you want to give your mane the TLC it deserve and improve its overall texture and shine, this is an investment you won’t regret.

The brush’s bristles are so soft! It worked great on my little guy when he was an infant because I wasn’t nervous about the texture on his head! Now, he uses it himself and I trust that he won’t hurt himself when using this soft brush! The comb is perfect for quickly swiping out knits and tangles!.

I got this set in pink, and although I really love the comb, I had a problem with the brush. My daughter got it wet once, and I tried to dry it quickly but ever since then it has a bad mildew smell that transfers to her hair.

It’s soft for newborn heads, but is too soft to be much use after that.

My mother in law got this for my daughter for Christmas. My daughter has long hair that tangles super easily and takes forever to get the tangles out. No matter what brush I use or how slow I go my daughter always whines about the hair brush either hurting or snagging on her hair.

I’ve tried using detangler but if you use too much it makes hair sticky and greasy looking. This brush pretty much eliminates me having to use so much detangler and my daughter does not whine when I brush her hair no more.

I like that the unicorn part is machine washable.

I received this product from Try It Sampling for my review. My daughter really loves this brush. She hates her hair brushed but will actually let me brush her hair with this. It is super cute. The bristles are really soft and bend really easy however since they bend so easy they do not seem to tackle the tangles as well.

My daughter still has the bad tangles that we can’t get through with this brush. Otherwise I would have given a 5 star.

Me daughter LOVES her tangle pet!! Not only is it adorable, but it actually works great too! It’s perfect size for my daughters hands so that’s a plus too. My girl is beyond tender headed so brushing her hair can be a chore sometimes.

With her tangle pet, we haven’t had one issue! I also love that the brush head can come out so you can throw the pet in the wash if need be. Definitely get more for stocking stuffers this year!!.

I ordered this brush based on reviews from others. I was super skeptical on how it would work on my crazy hair (my hair goes from normal on top, to thick in the middle and course underneath). Every brush that Ive ever tried was either terrible or just meh.

THIS FRAMAR brush is absolutely amazing, toral game changer! 3-4 swipes and my hair was completely brushed. No pulling, or struggling to get it to brush every strand. What would normally take 10 min to thoroughly brush my hair, now takes seconds.

No other brush compares to the wet brush. It gets through knots like nothing I’ve seen before. The wet brush gets through teasing from ombre and balayage which helps save a hairdressers life as well as all those little kids that haven’t brushed their hair in months.

This brush changed my hair. I used to barely ever brush my hair because it would get frizzy after. This Wet Brush doesn’t make my hair frizzy at all. I can brush my hair all the time and it won’t get frizzy.
