20 Best Toddler Summer Shoes (2022 Updated)

Adorable sandal! They can be dressed up or dressed down to go with anything! We buy this sandal every year. Fit is always great for my daughters wide foot. Great quality, always looks like new when wiped off! Size is always spot on.

This is a classic, quality, leather sandal. The velcro strap is easier to use than a buckle but it still has the buckle look. The size matched Stride Rite’s chart. My daughter and I love these sandals and are so thankful for a leather, closed-toe option!.

My four year daughter loves her first big girl sandal. We selected this style because it had a closed toe design to reduce the tripping hazard. Also, it has a really sturdy and padded strap around her ankle.

The soles are great too – thick for safety, great grip, and flexible for kiddos to play. We originally ordered the size 12 but it was too long. I ordered the 11 instead and it was a perfect fit. She has been wearing her sandals all summer and they still look new.

You cannot beat the Stride Rite quality so they are definitely worth the investment, Cheaper shoes fall apart and look old so very quickly,.

We have a small stockpile now of these great shoes since we first got on to them when our eldest was 2. They are absolutely perfect for kids in the summer. The colours are awesome too. They are waterproof, let sand and water slide through, and are easily washed (hosed off!).

The best part, in my opinion, is that they hold on to their little feet like shoes so that they can truly run freely. No worries about tripping or having them slip off. It has all of the benefits of a crock, plus the benefits of a summer running shoe.

Kids can easily get them on and off too. They last from season to season too. The only time they have gotten really scuffed is when our 2. 5 year old spent an entire summer stopping his fast-moving scooter by dragging his foot behind him 🙂 I do find then run a bit big as well – you want them to fit their feet relatively snugly so they hold on to the foot.

For instance, our 6 year-old just started wearing size 13 running shoes (Nike and Asics) and we had to get her size 12 in the Jefferson shoe. The size 13 (which we kept for next year!) was too big.

Purchased for my 2 year old great grandson. This is the only pair of shoes he will wear now. He can put them on by himself. Sometimes he wears them with socks but he likes them without, also. We are potty training and when he has an accident they can be easily cleaned.

I am ordering 2 more pairs for him. I love the bright summer colors.

I plan to use these shoes as water shoes for lakes and rivers with sharp rocks and zebra mussels. I have used a pair of these previously, and I love how they drain water well and dry quickly. These shoes also look cute if they are worn on land too.

I like the versatility. I found the unisex sizing to be a bit wide, but the shoes are still okay on my narrow feet for my intended purpose.

Native shoes are available for kids in toddler, little and big kids sizing. The info for the sizing is not clear on the site in correlation with the Native sizing chart – C or J for little or big kids.

Associate confirmed that they were junior sizing – J(size#). WRONG. Received C sizing for little kids. Have to return.

Great shoe, they stay clean and my son is very tough on shoes but he actually managed to outgrow these rather than them being worn out. They do develop holes underneath but that is usually when he has just about outgrown them.

Not the best for peak summer as they do get sweaty, but excellent for other times of year. Can be worn with or without socks. Great shoe.

I’m one that never writes a review actually its my first. I hope I can save a lot of moms. As soon as I put my sons feet in the shoes he took off and never looked back. I’m a new mom but Im use to seeing the old school ways I grew up.

My grandmother would put lil bells on mine when I was a little one. These shoes are generational in my family every one had a pair. My baby started walking at 10. 5 months and even better with the hard bottom shoe and ankle support.

I have Spent a lot of money on other pairs of shoes and it all came down too one.

These go back to the days where my mother would only allow this type of shoe for first-time walkers in my family! Even thereafter until 2-3 toddler, so I was elated to see that they were still available! Not only that, even better.

They’ve been modernized and are sturdier than ever. They really help my twin granddaughters with keeping their balance, as well as looking adorable. I received so many questions about where did I get them from and so many compliments about how cute they looked.

I highly recommend. Some may feel they are a little pricey but you can’t put a price on a babies feet, ankles and stability, they are well worth it.

The shoes are great quality and value. Great old-School quality like my children wore. !!! Brought this pair for my grandson 9 months. One thing the sole is not slip resistant enough, please add more non-slip material to the soles.

Absolutely love these new Nikes I got for my son. I went with the white and they go with everything! The velcro makes them much easier to put on than most of his shoes and he seems to be walking great in them (he is a new walker).

I will definitely be buying them again in his future sizes!.

My toddler is currently a size 7c in Nikes. I ordered these in 7s and they fit like an 8. Other than that they are cute and comfortable. Now I wish I could exchange them for a 6, but they are sold old.

Disappointed with the sizing inconsistency.

These shoes are too cute! Exactly what I was looking for but unfortunately they run a little bigger than other size 8 toddler shoes I purchased from Nike as well! So he can’t wear them right now but we are keeping for when he can !.

I initially bought a size 25 which is a size 9; however the shoes were too small and I ordered a size 10. The shoes I received were again a size 9 and I m very disappointed because my granddaughter loved them.

The process to return the shoes is frustrating too.

I received my purchase of Fox Squeaky Toddler Shoes Thursday evening in the mailbox but didn’t have a chance to open the package and inspect the shoes until Friday morning. Very cute shoes and nicely made.

BUT the right shoe did not squeak. I went on ikiki’s website to find out what to do and tried the suggestions in the FAQS section to get the squeaker started, but even after a couple of attempts as suggested, the right shoe still does not squeak.

Sent an Email for assistance in the afternoon, and within 1-2 hours received response from Kyle L. with 2 Emails, one to inform me that he has sent out a new replacement pair and even checked himself that both shoes squeak, and one to provide the shipping label for returning the original purchase.

I was able to get the original pair packaged back up and to the post office before the end of day. Thank you again, Kyle L! I had previously purchased Bee Squeaky Toddler Shoes for my niece, and it was a very nice experience also with receiving a very cute pair of shoes (they squeak, so there was no need to contact Customer Service then ☺️).

While I have no first hand experience with your product, I have personal knowledge of those that swear by your shoes!! As a retired PT, I love everything about them, but. I am definitely not fond of your description of the new sloth character as Lazy (“personifies the idea that laziness is the mother of invention”).

Pfft!! Have you met your clientele?? Determined! but not lazy!! Sloths are definitely NOT lazy. Stridor personifies an individual who is created uniquely and wonderfully. He goes about his day being the best Sloth he can be.

his best self. Stridor, and the youngsters who wear your shoes, are NOT Lazy just because they are a little slower than their pals. I would say that they all imbody the phrase, “slow and steady wins the race!” or “be the best you that you can be!” Consistently stride towards excellence in those areas!! I recommend sensitivity training and education for the team who created your description of the Sloth shoes!.

My review is based more on aesthetics than the comfort. Size-wise their true to size. Usually wear an 8 and these fit as expected. Seemed comfortable when I wore them around the house for a bit. Can’t say how comfortable they are after a full day of wear.

I didn’t buy these with the intent of using them for running or training. I was looking solely for a fashion sneaker and just didn’t like the colorway of these. I like the combo of the grey & blue, but was hoping the mesh part of the shoe was a lighter color than the grey suede.

It’s pretty much the same exact color so it just doesn’t appeal to me. I ended up returning and buying a different style/colorway of New Balance.

I love these shoes! They’re comfy, cute & stylish. I’ve received multiple compliments on them. I was having a really difficult time finding tennis shoes without the mesh toe area (which in my experience rips very quickly).

I saw these & decided to give them a try. I was nervous about the light color getting dirty very quickly, but even when they have gotten a smudge of something on them, it’s very easy to wipe down. I didn’t give 5 stars only because they’re not the MOST comfortable shoes I’ve tried, but still very comfortable to wear all day.

I wish they had a memory foam sole inside. But would definitely recommend.

I love how lightweight this shoe is! The width is perfect and it beats most of my sneakers (I have a lot!) for comfort. It’s flattering on the foot too. The color was exactly the same in person as it was on my computer monitor, so I’m very pleased about that.

I’ve worn it with pants, but am looking forward to wearing this with shorts and a dress or two, come summer. That reflective stripe at the heel is a nice touch too. Probably provides a little additional visibility at night.

We absolutely loved the shoe, except my son is going thru a growing phase and they have already quickly stopped fitting him! We are soo upset because there aren’t any shoes similiar to this one in the next size up.

The shoes are still brand new looking. Our local Dillards sells Stride Rite shoes but they are never in stock. If there is anyway y’all could help I would so be willing to buy more, as my son has problems with his feet and legs and your shoes help him so much! Thank you! We love your shoes!.

My son is a little chunky so we love how these are wider! Got his foot perfectly and give him extra support when he was just learning to walk! Little pricey but so worth it for the quality and the way they held up all summer! Bought them in 2 different colors because we loved them so much!.

These shoes are by far the most worn pair in my daughters closet. She’s worn them way more times than I can count and they have held up so well- they still look great! I highly recommend these. I would buy another pair of they had her next size up available!.

This particular style of vans are my absolute favorite for toddlers! They’re the absolute cutest and have a Velcro opening to help get their little feet inside. My son has wide feet and complains the first day or 2 of wearing them but they stretch out and be up being super comfy and his favorite shoes! My daughter has average feet and fit her perfectly! Get them…In all the colors!.

These are cute and stylish, and my son was so excited to match his dad. Unfortunately they run more than a size small and were tough to get on. Otherwise the shoes are very well made. We ended up ordering a few sizes up – he typically takes a 12.

We got these for our toddler. The quality of the shoe seems great so far – he’s been wearing them daily for the past two weeks – and the flexible sole is great for new walkers. We sized up so that he’ll be able to wear them a little longer, but even in the smaller size we found the width the be good (and his feet are quite wide).

Bonus: we get compliments everywhere we take him in these!.

My 1 y/o is a crawler still and I had her wear these shoes to daycare today. Not only did they repeatedly come off her feet, they are ruined. One day at day care and the silver fabric is pulled and shredded.

One day and the white toe box is scratched and the scratches go into the material (which, is not a hard toe box). My other daughter only ever wore Nikes but this one has chubbier feet and yes, these were easier to get one.

But now they look like trash. The Nikes she had been wearing still look pristine and actually do stay on her feet. If the material of these Kai shoes can’t withstand crawling babies, why do they make them in small, crawling baby sizes? I am so disappointed.

I just received these in the mail today for my 10 month old – the size 3 is a bit large, but they’re the closest thing we’ve been able to find with a real sole that almost fits her! They seem very supportive, and stable.

The blue is almost “denim,” and the accent colors makes them neutral enough to match most things. They seem true to size, we own a pair of Stride Rite in a size 3 and they seem to be the same width/length.

Very cute. They sell this brand at Target but apparently its their “basic” line. You can tell a difference in quality, and fit. We are a fan of this brand, and will continue to buy their shoes. The price with the Anniversary Sale makes them the same as the basic line from Target.

The pair of sneakers are very cute. My 2 year old granddaughter currently wears size 5 and so I bought a pair of size 6. The size 6 is way too big for her. I expected that size 6 will be a little big and so she can wear thick socks and grow into them, but the shoes are pretty wide.

I will return them.

My 9-year-old opted for the iridescent glitter clog Crocs. I kind of wanted her to get the teal ones instead because the air descent has a white inner sole, however, these have turned out to be easy to clean with a warm, wet rag & mild soap.

I know a lot of people who have made fun of Crocs because of how they look but they are so comfortable. Both of my kids wear out shoes fast. Not Crocs! Had their feet not grown so much this year they would still be wearing the old pairs that they have.

My daughter doesn’t wear these to school, but if she did she would have no problem playing tag or sprinting in them because she does it all the time at the playground after her karate class. MMA teachers will love that their students have crocs because they are easy to slip on and off.

Then when the teachers need the students to carry stuff outside, they just simply swipe down the straps and continue.

I bought these for my little lady last summer as an easy on/off shoe to wear to gymnastics and playing in the yard. She has gymnastics twice a week and wears them every time. In addition, she put them on after soccer games and now wears them to bad from softball practice.

Once softball games begin she will be changing from cleats to these shoes afterwards. The shoes are still in great condition and will easily last another month or so before I replace them; only to size her up.

I completely expect to have no problem selling the ones she’s wearing now.

I love crocs. They are so comfortable. I remember when they first came out. They reminded me of garden shoes. They didn’t appeal to me until I saw my co-workers at the hospital wear them. We work long standing and walking hours.

My feet and ankles didn’t ache during and after work. These shoes replaced those hard Dansko I had. I have the pink sparkly ones and my 3yr old daughter has the white sparkly ones. Perfect for spring and summer and the outdoor water stuff we do outside!.

Got these in black for my son. It’s good because they don’t have laces so he can put them on himself and doesn’t have to worry about tying laces throughout the day. The only thing is if you push down /step on the back of the shoe as if they are not fully on your foot (son’s first time putting on sneakers by himself) they will start to crease and remain like that so you have to be mindful in pulling up the back.

Other than that these are great sneakers. And they are true to size. Bought on sale. Kind of expensive at regular price though.

Bought these for our 11 year old son who’s very happy with them. Comfortable to wear , not tight across the top of his feet like some we’ve Bought before. Apparently very stylish lol. Only negative issues are the laces seem a bit thin and also it will be difficult to clean the trainers if they get dirty.

Other than that extremely happy with them.

So happy that I can purchase the adult women’s equivalent size in Youth sneakers. Such a better price point!! Now getting to the review. The Nike Crater is everything!!!! The style , fit, and color way are dope.

I got the bone/crimson, etc color. I love them. I’m a Nike sneakerhead, and collect most new releases. Nike has dropped some Bomb styles, for 2021!! Looking forward to 2022, selections. All I can say is IF they have your size in stock.

These shoes have odd sizing. I have twins so I like their outfits to match. It was IMPOSSIBLE to find shoes to fit them both. They were either WAY to big. Falling off their feet as they walked or just barely fitting.

I bit the bullet and bought the closest I could find for them both as I was told these shoes were great! And very close to a more expensive brand. Within 30mins both my boys had layers of skin taken off their feet and both fussing in pain.

Waste of $40 bucks for us. I absolutely do not recommend.

My then 3yr-old son wore these all last summer and they were great for the price. He has a high instep and can’t wear any slip-on shoe, while natives are super cute and more durable, they just don’t work for us.

The small Velcro tab makes a huge difference. Summer programs don’t allow any open-toe shoes so traditional sandals are out. These aren’t the most durable shoes out there so depending on how you use them and how much you use them, you might want to buy more than one pair.

I buy 2 colors and rotate them but my nephew probably goes through even more than that in a summer. But I didn’t pay $30 or $40 for them so I’m ok with that.

White paint scrapes off within 24 hours. Might be nice for an older kid. Horrible for a toddler who plays on the floor. These were bought in Aug. 22. Most of the reviews here are older. Now I see why they are buy one get one free.

This sandal is perfect for my granddaughter. it keeps her toes covered but still gets the air so that they done sweat. Perfect for a warm day. She can still run around without it slipping off. Best purchase this month.

Bought these for my son 2 weeks ago he has worn them 3 times the stitching started to come apart on day one and now the fabric has snapped and have had to throw them away. They look great and he found them really comfortable but really not practical for wearing.

my twin grandsons wore them once to school the stitching was unraveling and they were not the quality you except from brand jorden. we bought 3 pairs for all my grandsons big disappointment

I really like the shoe its functional fashionable and really supportive allows my daughter to run and play she loves them.

Cute shoe, but I have not witnessed the easy slip on factor they are marketed to have. Previewed the Nike website and they recommended ordering a half size up. That is valuable information that should be in the description here.

I’d say maybe go one full size up. I ordered a half size up, because I purchased them for the fall and they are still a perfect fit and don’t allow the easy slip on.

These shoes are so cool.My grandson wants to wear them every day. They are easy on easy off. He can do it himself. They shoes give great support as well. Very happy with my purchase

I like the sneakers and the concept, but it’s not super easy for my 6 year old. It took some practice, but overall I’m satisfied and more importantly, my son is satisfied with the product.

I was really disappointed with these for my one year old son. He’s just establishing walking for the first time so I wanted to get some Clarks shoes as I trusted the brand. I feel the child’s foot and walking hasn’t been considered at all with this shoe.

The sole is thick, hard and has no flexibility. My son has real struggle walking in them and is so good at walking normally. I’m really disappointed in Clarks for not considering babies’ first steps and supporting them.

Maybe style is more important to them. I wouldn’t recommend these. I’d advise parents to look for a shoe that supports their child’s natural footsteps. Babies feet are so soft and vulnerable. Choose carefully.

Look at the sole, not the shoe.

City Brights Have Changed. We have had multiple pairs previously and they were always great. Especially because you could chuck them in the washer and drier when they needed a clean. BUT they have changed, you can no longer tumble dry them.

I didnt check the label as previously it hadnt been a problem and once dried the backs of the shoes had melted and gone so mishapen and hard that they were unwearable. Such a shame as the service assistant sold this pair to me as washable/canvas so i just assumed.

Besides this issue they are great shoes and my toddler finds them very easy to get on and off alone.

Bought for my 2 year old in infant size 6, look and fit comfortably, seems happy lots of walking and running ! so far. Rated only one star away from 5 stars as due to the only complaint heels rubs a bit making his heels a bit sore initially, so hope these will soften in time.

Like that they are machine washable, and quicker fastening velcro straps. His previous shoes were also machine washable, washed well everytime, they were the T- bar buckle summer version, which he has just outgrown despite wearing them most days with socks in wintery weather!.
