20 Best Toppings For Cookies (2022 Updated)

I usually create my own colored sugars for my cookie baking. This year I decided to buy these to save me some time and trouble. I’m so glad I did! I got both the red and green for the Christmas holidays and they added that extra touch of color.

Wilton quality is great and both colors were dark and saturated. Just what I wanted.

I was having trouble finding these simple crystal sugars for my cookies in the stores. How great that I found your product – and at a reasonable price.

I’ve been buying Torani Classic Hazelnut syrup for many years and it has always been one of my favorite products. It used to have a delicious, authentic hazelnut flavor and aroma, and it made my morning coffee taste magical.

I once bought the regular Hazelnut syrup (as opposed to Classic) by mistake, and I thought it tasted and smelled much cheaper and more artificial. It had an almost alcoholic, extract-like aftertaste.

And it didn’t have the same wonderful smell! My most recent order of Classic Hazelnut syrup tasted cheap and aritificial like the regular Hazelnut syrup, and it was so disappointing! When you make an iconic product for decades and then suddently change the formula, you are making a terrible business decision, because you will almost certainly lose your most loyal customers.

I don’t know if this happened due to inflation, supply chain issues, or a quality control issue at the factory, or if Torani has decided to go the route of so many other companies and cheap out on quality to increase profit.

But unless I hear that the products were just inadvertently swapped at the factory or something, I probably won’t be buying their syrup again. What a shame. I’d rather pay more and still be able to get the original product than pay the same price for an inferior product.

I love, love, love the French Vanilla Sugar Free Syrup by Torani. If I didn’t know, and tasted it, there is no way I would ever guess it was a sugar free product. It has a satisfying, delicious vanilla flavor, like a freshly split vanilla pod.

The syrup itself is lovely and sweet and rich, with no strange aftertaste. As Torani got their sugar free version of French Vanilla syrup so right, I was excited to try the S’mores flavor of sugar free Torani, and ordered it as soon as I read all of the good reviews for it.

I’m sorry if you love this syrup, but- the first thing this product screamed on tasting it was “SUGAR FREE!” There is a strange, chemical, bitter something that hits the tastebuds first. You do get a sort of “chocolate” flavor, but it feels like a very low-end approximation of chocolate.

Like those kind of weird waxy, greasy, off-brand, suspiciously inexpensive chocolates that appear all over the shelves on Valentine’s Day and Easter. Their flavor is cut rate, making a Hershey bar taste in comparison like an imported forty dollar box of Lindt Swiss chocolate truffles.

I mean- Hershey’s is great, don’t get me wrong- but when you try imported chocolate after years of American chocolate- you can tell where the quality is. Of course, that is subjective. But in the United States, only a minimum of 10% of cacao content is required in chocolates, whereas in Europe, a minimum of 20% cacao content is required.

There are other differences also of course but the cacao content is the stand-out difference. But I would never turn down a Hershey bar. Yum. Back to this sugar free “S’Mores” syrup. Sadly, I got zero marshmallow, no graham cracker, and really, no chocolate flavors at all.

Maybe I got a bad bottle or something, because everybody else seems to really enjoy this stuff. Sugar free products can be kind of a crap shoot. Some are great: I’ll never be without the Torani French Vanilla sugar free syrup.

It’s delicious. But their version of S’Mores Sugar Free Syrup was just– not good. Oh, well. More for everybody who loves it, I guess. :).

I absolutely love my SF Cinnamon Brown Sugar and SF Cinnamon Vanilla so much I order in bulk. Very rarely do I order outside those flavors. When I use my flavors, I don’t have to ever add anything else.

Now, I give a 4 but wish I could do 4. 5 because I’m sure this is a one time thing but my delivery didn’t come as scheduled and notifications were lacking. I actually had to reach out this time. As long as I have been ordering, this is the first issue I have had.

Now, I stepped out of my box and I wanted to try something else so I jumped on the Pumpkin Spice bandwagon. Well I should have just let the wagon go by! Now, if you have ever tasted pumpkin from the can (not pie mixture) or cooked a fresh pumpkin for pies, you will know what the SF Pumpkin Spice tastes like And its no where near what a Pumpkin Spice Latte from a coffee shop tastes like.

I don’t want to have to add a bunch of stuff to make it taste like it should. I just want to be able add the syrup and half and half to my coffee and have a PSL. If you are looking to give something a regular pumpkin flavor then this would work.

The PS and the Pumpkin Pie flavor syrup need a little more tweaking Torani. I would be willing to taste test! 😉 Still loyal to you!.

IšverstiShow in original languageThis item came damage (the bag was slit and the items spilled into the box) but we used them in the past for several treats. These are very delicious as topping on ice cream treats.

We started using them on top of my dipped ice cream bars when patrons requested it. We blended them as a dry item in the blender, they come together like thick brown sugar granules but not clumpy at all, then after the vanilla ice cream bar was dipped into the dipping chocolate, while chocolate was still wet we quickly sprinkled this over the bar.

Patrons really like it, and I do to. These can be sprinkled on any dessert and would be delicious.

We love these chopped cocoa gems ice cream toppings. They go great with any flavor of ice cream. They taste very good and not over sweet. These are our go to cocoa gems whenever we run out.

These were beautiful colored sprinkles that came in a plastic bag within a small box to prevent any puncturing of the bag. They are a great ice cream topping and the colors did not run/bleed into each other.

A great addition to our Ice Cream topping selection menu. Adults and kids love adding these Chopped Cocoa Gems (just like M&M’s) to their ice cream treats. Food cost price to serving price is outstanding.

Haven’t had a Reese’s product that I didn’t LOVE. until now. I read all the reviews and noticed that the only positive ones (12 review with 3+ stars) came from persons who received a free sample, therefore an “incentive” to review favorably.

The remaining reviewers purchased their Reese’s Topping and gave POOR reviews. Poor, and very accurate. I have tried this topping NUMEROUS times, always hoping I would see some improvement. I would think that maybe I just got a bad batch.

Maybe someone responsible for storing or transporting the product didn’t handle it properly. Maybe I don’t know how the follow the simple directions. shake well, and do not refrigerate. “Shake Well” is an understatement.

I don’t think a paint shaker would be able to combine the concrete slab of peanut butter at the bottom of the bottle with the oil floating above it. I too, like another reviewer, have cut the bottle open to scrape out the thick, dry sediment of peanut butter to mix with the liquidy portion of the product.

I’ve tried storing the bottle up-side down. I’ve tried heating it in the microwave. All attempts to no avail. Might be a good idea for QC to sample a bottle from their local store. after it’s sat in the manufacturer/distributor warehouse, in a shipping container, in a grocery warehouse, to finally the grocers shelf.

I would seriously doubt that the quality of the product at the consumers end is anywhere near how it left the processing plant. So now, instead of trying different ways to make your product useable, I am going to find a new peanut butter topping to enjoy.

I as well as two of my girlfriends are Reese’s fanatics. For every occasion and just for no reason at all we give each other Reese’s. All the different types we are so excited when we find new ones ti try we even found the cupcakes as well as the ice cream.

I do have ti say the only disappointing product was the sauce for the Icecream. I keep buying it in hopes that it will eventually mix correctly or you have found a way to make it like the peanut butter sauce from Friendly’s.

To no avail you haven’t. I just purchased 4 bottles and again am disappointed. I went through two with oily discharge and so much peanut butter left in the bottoms and shaking so vigorously my entire family’s arms hurt.

So very very disappointed.

I just tried your peanut butter topping and I too along with the other reviewers totally agree that something is VERY wrong with this peanut butter topping, I was looking for instructions for use to see if I was doing something wrong as there was nothing coming out of the spout because it was too thick and like someone else said, just an oily peanut butter liquid came out because the peanut butter was inside the container would not come out because it is too thick to come out! It’s not like syrup to come out of the spout that you provide on the container, it’s too thick! You need to put this in a container like regular peanut butter is or Nutella because this isn’t working! It is definitely not like the liquid peanut butter that I assumed that it was that is always on a Reese’s Pieces sundae at Friendly’s! Everything is wrong here and you need some serious quality control with this product!.

OVER-THE-TOP SCRUMPTIOUS! There is something about name brand Reese’s that gives me so much more flavor and just the right salt and sweetness combo to put my dessert over the edge. If you are incorporating the chopped pieces in a pie or something, with other flavors, you may be able to get away with a generic imitation, but if you are garnishing a dessert, or mixing with ice cream, etc.

I would make sure to buy the real thing. Your flavor will be so much better and more satisfying that way. Even in cookies, I would really rather opt for the Reese’s brand, because the value for the optimal taste will be much more gourmet.

A wonderful topping for ice cream or frozen yogurt that everyone will enjoy. The chopped REESE’S PIECES are a great topping for vanilla ice cream. They taste great and are a great price.

Father’s Day celebrations made “sweeter†with smuckersbrand. My lil’ baker Sienna decided to bake her daddy their favorite brownies!!! So this momma thought why not jazz it up n make it “extra†by trying out these new flavors from Smuckers on something other than the usual ice cream!!! It was a hit especially the hot fudge, rich n decadent … caramel was good too but since it’s more runny, it will be better off on ice cream! Plus point was that these didn’t have the artificial taste/aftertaste… This momma is thinking to DIY my own coffee Frappuccinos !!! The possibilities are endless….

Not sure if something went wrong during transport, or that this was ordered during the summer months and not refrigerated during transport, but what would have been a great topping arrived in a large solid clump.

I had to chip away at it methodically with a large metal spoon. With a lot of elbow grease I was able to seperate into a suitable topping for frozen yogurt. Tasty, but might try to order again – only in the winter months.

The Chopped SNICKERS Bar Ice Cream Topping is very good. The quality is excellent, they seemed to be fresh and tasted great. I definitely recommend this product and would purchase again if needed. Perfect for ice cream!.

We use a lot of this , so I was delighted to find it available in 5 lbs bags as opposed to the 3 lb Bags that I was purchasing from a big box trade only supplier. The Butterfinger is packed with Frozen Packets, that may or may not thaw in the transportation process, however as long as it arrives with the bag intact, put it in the cooler and wait a day before breaking it up.

Do not use your Robot Coupe to do this , instead chop it up with a spade that has a chamfered edge, in order to get a nice consistency. The food processor results in too much heat and you end up scaring the melted chocolate.

As a sidetone, the first bag that I recd arrived on a 95 degree day and was completely liquid and the bag had broken, I sent pics and they immediately generated a replacement shipment.

Butterfinger candy is a fan favorite. These chopped pieces will taste great on ice cream treats. They’re also great mixed into other ice cream desserts and shakes. You’ll be glad you bought these in bulk, they’re going to go so fast.

These chopped butterfingers work great at our restaurant as a topping for our açaí bowls, yogurt bowls and oatmeal bowls. We also use them for those customer that like to add Butterfinger to their smoothies!.

First, I dislike that I can’t find it at Target anymore! Second, I Loved, the ingredients and taste!!There was no high fructose corn syrup! First caramel I have ever liked that didn’t just consist of regular sugar! It also had glucose which is sugar derived from fruits and vegetables and mostly used in health drinks and foods!! I’ve only found one other caramel so far that had similar ingredients and a little less fat and sugar per serving and did not taste good at all!!.

Fabulous hot fudge for dessert treats!! I love this brabd! Completely yummy and was the “icing on the caje” gor my latest ice cream cake. Very proud of my achievement on figuring out a GREAT OREO cake recipe.

Next time I will work with this fudge at a lower heat- it tastes wonderful!.

Good old Sanders hot fudge. Great flavor not artificial tasting. It’s consistency is thick not running and adds top any dessert. Ive been able to enjoy this for years thanks to my grandmother and her sweet tooth.

Really miss having a Sanders close to me.

It is really good at decorating you cake 🎂 or your cupcake 🧁 on top of the frosting 🧁. It is really yummy 😋 you could eat it with or without putting it on the cake/cupcake both ways tastes good. There are different varieties but I most go for the this one because it is simple and good.

It’s honestly the best caramel topping that I’ve tried so far! it’s rich and thick. i only used it for ice cream which it puts all the store bought caramel toppings our of business. this is my first time trying goat milk so I’m not familiar with the flavor of how it’s supposed to taste.

but it’s a taste i don’t mind.

This was the first time I’ve ever tried goats milk anything. I had a coupon so figured why not. Oh boy, its disgusting. Very stong underlying pungent taste. I didnt pick up any other flavor but that goat milk.

Warning to Goat milk haters. It completely has a goat milk taste. I’m not a fan of goats milk, but I thought with all the sugar it would still taste yummy. No. It’s like sweet blue cheese caramel to me.

I’m glad others with dairy allergies have the option, but I’m going for the cow variety next time.

I compared these white chocolate chips to the grocery store chips I already have in my pantry. Better taste, and better price. These go on the re-order list.

The Lily’s Milk Chocolate Baking Chips have a great taste. No stevia aftertaste and they are very close to regular sugar sweetened chocolate chips. In fact, I really prefer them. I’ve tried the dark chocolate chips from Lily’s and for me they aren’t sweet enough.

And I do not like the white chocolate chips at all. In my opinion, these are the best tasting of all of the chips that Lily’s makes. These do very well in terms of flavor and holding their shape in baking, as well as melting in the microwave or in a bowl over simmering water.

When I melt them, I add a tsp or two of coconut oil but you can add butter as well. I stock up on them in the colder months so that I don’t have to order them in the warmer weather and then have to worry about them melting during shipping.

This was a great price! Purchased it as a ice cream topping. Although the bag says it’s a mixed nut, I must say it taste more of peanuts than anything but it is still delicious and a great buy. Wasn’t powdery and there’s quite a bit in the bag, definitely recommend giving it a try!.

This mixed nut dessert topping is the least expensive than other stores. It tastes good to me and goes well on a sundae.

It really cool how this hardens when poured over cold ice cream. I also use this to make frozen chocolate banana pops. I peel the banana. Put a popsicle stick in the bottom of the banana, then freeze.

Once the banana is frozen I cover with the chocolate shell and chopped peanuts. Then wrap in parchment paper to keep in the freezer for when I want a chocolaty snack.

Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Shell Topping is the best to use to put one the top of you ice cream or frozen fruit. It would be moore helpfull if you could dip it in so you don’t get Chocolate all over the place.

I am always buying it for the kids because they love it on their ice cream. It taste just like the Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Candy Bar. I would recommend the Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Shell Topping for anyone to try.
