20 Best Toppings For Salad (2022 Updated)

I just love this stuff! I look forward to having a salad so I can crunch all the seeds. I used to be able to buy this product at my local Costco. Apparently, they aren’t going to be carrying it in the winter.

I can’t find it anywhere so I decided to check out the internet. I can’t remember what it cost in Costco but it was a little high, I thought, so I looked at it as a real treat with my salads. The cost buying it here seemed a little higher than what I paid at Costco, but I can’t swear that it is.

It has the seeds I love, pumpkin and sunflower, and a little sweetness with the dried cranberries. UhOh, I just found out that my son has been eating them by the handful. “No”, I told him (he’s an adult) those are for my salads!.

This is one of our favorite products. We normally get it at Costco but Costco is over an hours drive from our remote rural location. So we found a way to buy it on-line and absolutely love it as a salad topper or in addition to many other things.

This is the way to shop as far as Im concerned! Its a great deal with fast, free delivery and good folks to deal with.

Costco used to sell these Salad Toppers, but they. Were only a seasonal product. I was glad to find them on eBay. I use mine in homemade bread.

I love this product but the price makes it almost cost-prohibitive! It was much less expensive when I was buying it at Costco, so I know the manufacturer’s profit margin on this is huge!

I saw this combo on the shelf and thought it looked like a wonderful ingredient for this holiday season. It is! I started with it as a topping for pumpkin cranberry bread. Then as an add on to oatmeal.

I put it on top of a pumpkin pie before baking. All were fantastic. You are limited only by your imagination. I am on my 2nd bag. I must buy more before they are gone!!.

This Cranberry & Pecan topping is absolutely amazing!! It is so good and taste so wonderful that I am literally eating it straight out of the bag as I write this review. it is the perfect blend of sweetness, crunch and soft.

Soft cranberries, in fact the softest plump cranberries you can ever imagine; and sweet, crunchy pecans- honey roasted to perfection. This topping would go good on anything- French toast, pancakes, salads, ice cream, yogurt, sandwiches, cookies, cakes.

I tried the cranberry and pecan topping from Fresh Gourmet. It has mostly cranberries and smaller pieces of pecans. The pecans are heavily processed so that they are almost like a rice crispy texture.

It tasted similar having an airiness to it. I added it to a salad and again, the cranberries flavor was the only thing that really carried through. I may possibly take the nuts and separate them out.

I will use it in overnight oats and also slow-cooked oats. It is a fantastic value for the price with all those cranberries. Not sure if it could be used in cookies in place of raisins for oatmeal cookies, but it probably can.

My wife was putting the Gourmet Topping brand on her cereal every morning and then it was no longer available. We were making our own using dried fruit and nuts. Not very convenient! Then the Members Mark came available.

We have been pleased with all the Members Mark products and I believe this topping is better than the Gourmet brand. The Members Mark brand gives Sam’s Club more control over quality and availability.

We had been buying the Fresh Gourmet Topping Cranberries and Pecans, but since they are no longer available, we tried these. While they taste good, the bags are filled with many cranberries but few pecans.

We like them in tossed salads and oatmeal, but wish Sam’s would bring back the Fresh Gourmet Topping brand. It seems that better tasting products are often replaced with those of lower quality.

I first purchased it for the cranberries and because I enjoy pecansvery much. I started snacking on them and was impressed with the combination of lightly salted sweet and honey roasted crunchy pecans.

I was looking for a little sweet and crunch to add to my salads but was bummed to see how much sugar was added to any dried cranberries. These had a low carb count even though the ingredients included sugar.

One tablespoon is a serving and there were supposedly 14 in the bag–the problem was, the bag made me only 4 salads. So I’m thinking I maxed out my carb count and got more sugar than I bargained for.

Be aware when you use these, that you should actually use a tablespoon to measure if you are on a restricted diet! But yes, taste great!.

I have tried these cranberries & almond toppings many times and love them on salads and my morning yogurt. Very fresh, crunchy & delicious!

Great taste, I only use a sprinkle or 2 but my end end of the week the product still tastes as fresh as the day I opened it. Cranberries are not too tart, not too sweet. It’s the perfect salad and sandwich topper.

I’ve also just grabbed a pinch for a snack.

Oh yum! I love all the blends of the Salad Toppins on a salad! It’s a nice blend of mini croutons and seeds along with crunchy bits. It really adds texture and enjoyment to a salad that I found in other blends by the same line.

I really like this shaker and how it makes a simple meal elevated for a small amount of money.

You are forever getting rid of items I like. The Hershey bar with Reeces Pieces. The V8 fusion fruit juices. The Rustic oven Artisan Bread etc. I know you don’t have room for everything but why do you have to get rid of the good stuff.

Env: development There are times when I want something a little extra with my salad; something beyond the usual assortment of vegetables and dressings and that’s when I reach for Salad Toppins from McCormick.

The pieces stay crunchy while you are enjoying your salad but you need to make sure the lid is closed properly to prevent the contents from getting soggy or absorbing moisture. The mix is an interesting blend of dehydrated vegetables like onions, carrots, bell peppers, parsley and soybeans but there are also sunflower seeds and a hint of sugar.

This isn’t something that consider spicy or salty but if you are watching your sodium intake you need to add the 70 milligrams per serving to your daily total. The bottles sell for about three dollars at most of the grocery stores and one of them can last me about a month in the summer.

McCormick has a couple different flavor blends for the Salad Toppins; I tried the Southwestern version and it was a little too salty for me but everyone else that tried it really liked it.

The Roasted Garlic Salad Toppins didn’t have enough of a garlic flavor for my taste but I did love using it with honey and teriyaki sauce to make a pork tenderloin marinade. Env: development.

This salad topper tastes good, but it’s mostly cranberries with very few pecans (it’s like 10% pecans and 90% cranberries). I probably won’t repurchase this because I prefer more nuts mixed in. I’d be happy to pay more if the ratio was better.

The pecans are glazed and taste like junk candy. Not healthy at all. Pecans are very good and healthy in their natural state but not sugar coated. Very disappointed. I wish they would make these without the glazed candy coating.

Will not purchase again due to the glaze.

These perfect portions are great for topping salads and also adding to plain oatmeal. They are just sweet and crunchy enough to sprinkle over top and mix in once my instant oatmeal is ready. Nice to keep for colder weather when I don’t eat salad.

I’ve been purchasing this mix for quite a while from Sam’s Club. I like to eat it, along with roasted pumpkin seeds, with my banana for breakfast. Also great in salads with blue cheese or a balsamic dressing.

Just hope the fact that it’s not available right now doesn’t mean Sam’s is going to discontinue carrying it.

I love this stuff. It’s tasty on top of everything from sweet to savory. Everytime I need to bring a couple of dishes to a party this always makes an appearance. Last week was my niece’s baby shower, I made a coleslaw using bagged, shredded, tri colored cabbage, jarred coleslaw dressing with this mixed in and everyone flipped over it.

(Honestly I was a little disappointed as I also made pulled pork plus 3 other dishes) and this is what got all the accolades. It’s also awesome mixed with broiled Brussel sprouts, or as a sweet potato or yogurt topping.

The product is a little pricey for what you get, but it tastes pretty good. That being said, the nutritional information is incorrect – the number of grams of fats, proteins and carbohydrates do not correlate with the total number of calories.

I contacted customer service about it and Hani was not helpful in trying to get this resolved.

We use this in our oatmeal. Makes a great breakfast, nice and sweet but not too sweet. Also, husband likes on BJ’s Greek yogurt. Always tastes fresh never rancid except for an occasional walnut. The sunflower and pumpkin seeds and sesame sticks are perfect.

Love the cranberries also. We buy all the time.

I just bought these on a whim and im so glad I took the chance because these are tasty! The pecans are good quality and don’t taste stale or rancid and the cranberries are actually soft and plump but not dried hard like other cranberry.

Im going to buy more and stock up these are worth keeping around!.

This item barely has any pecans in it. It’s mostly cranberries and what pecans you get are literally crumbs. I hate I brought 2 bags.

I ordered this via pickup for our family Thanksgiving dinner. made a salad with this item and it was a smaller bag than I anticipated. Thankfully it was enough to get the job done. Great taste and would buy again!.

Being a vegetarian, I’m always on the lookout for natural products to enhance my meals. I have never found a similar product nor this quantity size anywhere else. I use this salad topper on salads, mixed with veggies and on baked potatoes.

My only complaint is: Sometimes it is not in stock at my local BJ’s; so, I now purchase a minimum of two bags.

I haven’t found this product anywhere else, and since my local BJs no longer carries it, I order these in bulk multiple times a year. I love the variety of seeds with fruit and walnut plus the extra crunch of the wheat sticks.

All I need for a delicious salad is lettuce, dressing, and a handful of this. Yum!.
