20 Best Torrent For Books (2022 Updated)

Got 3 18TB mybooks for a crazy low price each from the wd store (dunno how I got that price, maybe the store was screwed up that day but I jumped). They are simple to plug in, fast, and you can disable sleep mode.

The only thing about the 18TB versions are they are LOUD. They do click/make a noise every 5 seconds (one is a click when the drive does it’s 5 second access because something in the case is lose and you can tell it’s the top plastic piece making the click).

All of the mybooks are designed to make a noise every 5 seconds to “lubricate” stuff according to the faq here. The extra warranty making them have a 4 year warranty was even better. OH and these are 7200RPM drives in the case, probably white label red’s.

I also have 4 14’s and one of those is 7200 (the rest are 5400) so i would guess it’s a crap shoot what they decide to slap in there but my 18’s are 7200 and fast over usb 3. 1. If I see the low offer show up again I’m going to get one more and max out my drive letters.

I find these more reliable than the brand that starts with see and ends with gate (the warranty on those is a year and they stuff in enterprise class drives where if you bought them bare you get a 3 year warranty and they wont honor the drive S/N, just the chassis SN).

I don’t know how WD handles shucked drives (none of mine are shucked) but I read that they dont complain and replace them. I’ll stick with WD, never had much trouble with them. Again, they’re fast, long warranty and the only complaint is they’re noisy but what can you do.

You can’t go wrong with the brand, quality or price.

This device, ( of which i purchased two) an 18TB My Book, will be used here as back up to my 48TB G Raid 4 bay Shuttle. I do not use the cloud for storage and would prefer to house my own back up. My digital life began with an ever increasing number of By Book’s in the 1990’s, and then migrated everything to G Drive storage.

What I have done now, in this purchase is consolidate 12 G drives into, 1 48 TB G 4bay shuttle and 2- 18 TB My Book drives to bring of my storage needs up to date, with space available for adding data for a few years to come.

This bag fits the roll of a sturdy, lightweight, minimalist day bag. I use it more for bushcraft than camping so I can’t comment on how functional it would be as an overnighter, but suspect it would be tight for a sleeping pad, bag, shelter, clothes, cook wear, etc.

But it’s worked great for day trips. I’m 5’11, 200 and the pack fits good. An adjustable yoke would be nice for fine tuning the fit…so keep that in mind if you’re on the shorter side. Also, if you’re in to lots of technical features and compartments this is not your bag.

It definitely is more on the utilitarian side. Overall though I’d recommend.

Bought this bag specifically to meet smaller requirements of carry on luggage on European flights. First of all, so many people had the same idea and I think that speaks to the practicality and durability of this product.

Perfect size, great capacity, I took it everywhere on my trip and it never felt too heavy or inconvenient. It’s cute and held up great! I used four little make up bags (like you might get in the dollar section at Target or something) for organizing and that worked perfectly with a little room to spare.

Very well made durable backpack. You will never need to worry about it ripping. It’s not very big as backpacks go but holds 4-1” binders a couple composition books and a laptop. It’s very stylish but gets dirty super easy.

You can’t clean it and if you try it will rub off the color of the fabric and make it look worse. If it rubs against anything it leaves permanent marks on the fabric. This is our 3d and I buy them because the kids insist.

However the Patagonia and north face still looked brand new after a year of use. These look like heck after 6 months. They would be great for college but if kids set these on the floor or bus it will be visually disgusting quickly.

Anna Todd is by far the best writer/author I have ever seen in my life. This book series has changed my life, literally. I started reading them last year and read all of the books in like 10 days. Which if you’ve read them you know that they are pretty long and it would probably take forever if you weren’t as obsessed as I am.

I purchased the first one with my dad lol. He didn’t know what they were about but I decided to pick the one without the movie cover so he didn’t get suspicious. I finished it so quick and didn’t put it down that whole day.

I then over the 10 days had my dad bring me back to Barnes and Noble to buy every one. These books are so amazing and full with passion and love and lust but also so realistic in a way that no other author could portray them the way Anna Todd does.

I love this series with my whole heart and can’t wait for the second After move.

Again, Matt Haig has crafted another tale of philosophical brilliance. While The Midnight Library wasn’t what I expected, it was still interwoven with sci-fi, fantasy elements and a fascinating premise.

There were quite a few life lessons throughout the book about letting go of regrets and truly seeing and appreciating the life you are given. The character growth and world building were well done and the ending was satisfactory.

Overall, I understand the message behind the library and the multiverse scenarios, but I didn’t totally connect with the story. It is possible that I had different expectations prior to reading The Midnight Library.

Even so, the author did create a compelling work of fiction that no doubt many will enjoy. While this book may not have been my cup of tea, Matt Haig is an excellent writer and this one is definitely worth reading.

I’ve read all of Mr. Gladwell’s books and if you’re only going to read one, IMO, this is his most important, and at the risk of hyperbole, I’ll call it brilliant. He argues, and supports with substantial evidence, the idea that sheer luck plays an enormous role in how our lives turn out.

He stops short of taking the extreme deterministic position agreed upon by, oh, Einstein, Freud, and BF Skinner, to name a few of the 20th centuries most influential thinkers, but many readers will have their minds opened to consider that possibility more seriously.

The book is also the story of failure. I guess if that had been incorporated into the title it would have been less appealing. And although examples of failure due to bad luck are no doubt far more common than The Beatles or Steve Jobs, thus who experience failure, also because of (bad) luck, don’t stick out to be studies and included.

If there’s a weakness it’s that examples that con’t support his thesis are ignored. On the other hand. if his thesis is correct, and I think it is, there are no contradictory example. Outliers is, IMO, a truly great book.

I can’t thin of a book I’d recommend more highly.

A book that challenges the stereo type thinking of who is an exceptional person or group of people. The author has demonstrated that outliers are products of history and community, of opportunity and legacy.

Their success is not exceptional or mysterious. It is grounded in a web of advantages and inheritances, some deserved, some not, some earned, some just plain lucky, but all critical to making them who they are.

The book has so many examples of circumstances but the wonderful example of the Jewish emigre family to New York, the Borgenichts’ showed how Louis and Regina may have been tired and poor and overwhelmed.

For Louis being his own boss and making his own decisions, engaging his mind and imagination resulted in a relationship between effort and reward. The three things – autonomy, complexity and connection between effort and reward are, most people agree, the three qualities that work has to have if it has to be satisfying.

Meaningfulness is very important in one’s job or task for us to excel in it. Hard work is a prison sentence only if it does not have meaning. Once it does, it becomes the kind of thing that makes you grab your wife around the waist and dance a jig.

For me, a crucial lesson to those who want to tackle the upper reaches of a profession is if you work hard enough and assert yourself, and use your mind and imagination, you can shape the world to your desire.

Working hard is what successful people do. Even for subjects like mathematics, it’s not ability as attitude. Success is a function of persistence and doggedness and the willingness to work. As the Chinese say “No one who can rise before dawn three hundred city days a year fails to make his family rich”.

In summary, outliers are those who have been given opportunities and who have had the strength and presence of mind to seize them. As the author summarises, “The outlier, in the end, is not an outlier at all.

This book enlightens us about the myth of land of opportunities and hard work. These myths survive because a lot of people heard of self made millionaires. Theyre usually the ones that perpetuate the illusion of hard work, good ideas produce $ucce$$.

Without proper opportunities, like being in the right place at the right time and knowing someone who can propel you in the right direction, just by ones own merit doesnt take you very far.

Really great book if that’s what you’re into. It’s a fairly short/ easy to read but it doesn’t need to be longer. It’s a good guide if you’re travelling/ thinking of travelling soon and I found it helpful.

So check it out if you want to get your money to last longer and enjoy your long trip.

I really wanted this book… To me it was more about philosophy than it was actually being a traveler…there is some great stuff in the book…

My gaming group currently consists of my roommate, my fiancee and our 10 year old. My roommate is along for the ride and will play whatever I throw at him but my fiancee and 10 year old were clearly getting bored with chasing bandits in The Lost Mine of Phandelver adventure.

LMoP had the downfall of not drawing you in with teases to the greater storyline. It starts with a goblin ambush and a frontier town plagued with bandits. Though I loved the idea of a sort of Old West type town in D&D, my girls were not so enthralled.

So I bought this. My fiancee loves horror and the kid loves vampires. I chose the first adventure hook offered in the book, having them enter a tavern in Phandalin, the town of LMoP, as a light mist drifts into the night air.

Whilst in the tavern, I ran the adventure hook and when they exited later, the mist was now a thick fog, the town of Phandalin was gone and as soon as the tavern door was closed behind them it disappeared as well.

They three were now alone on a road in the middle of the forest with a single dilapidated sign pointing West labeled Barovia. From this moment, they were hooked. Anything beyond that would be spoilers so I will just say I have scared them multiple times and we are only just in the town of Barovia, at the beginning of the book, and they are LOVING it! This adventure is so apart from any other I have read or run and has a lot of amazing moments.

The writing is superb and it ACTUALLY approaches the entire adventure as if the DM were running D&D for the first time, which I like. A plethora of useful tips, hints and information is provided here the level of which is rarely found in other published adventures.

I am thoroughly impressed and cant wait to see how my group’s story unfolds.

Best Adventure for 5E and Tabletop. Very RP heavy, there is combat(DEADLY COMBAT), in the extreme. Compared to the other adventures this one has a lot of talking and declensions you have to make compared to combat.

This is a big sandbox, so your characters could be going into a level 99 area at level 7 if you know what I mean (TPK). Its an amazing world, a demiplane, to play in and become a hero. You could also try Princess Mode or Diplomacy mode, and actually try to help the antogonist, sad story, very interesting twist.

The amount of supplemental material the online community has made for this is AMAZING. Lots of extra bits you can add to this adventure.

Great story, artwork, updated so much from the previous 2 originals which I admire as well being a Ravenloft devotee. Very nice hard cover, lot of new details, maps, characters and role playing options.

Even thou I myself stay with my crew in 2nd edition rules for most of the time, this advanture can be well played in other worlds and with various other rules which makes it an excellent piece of work for everyone.

The 500-page novel, Overstory by Richard Powers is founded with ideas, the wisdom of trees, eco-terrorism, connection of trees and human. The book is in four sections, roots, trunk, crown and seeds. The Overstory is the Understory Biome of nine characters, the layers of their life, foliage of their camouflage with like-minded individuals, and a canopy of these characters careers, for example, video game pioneer, intellectual property lawyer, a professor, an actress, and average citizen, and of the tree scientist living a hermit life in the woods, she takes the story of trees to the highest level with awe and wonder, as if inspired by current times of ecoterrorism and environmental rapes.

Many of the tree details are facts although it is a fiction novel, reminded me of Rachel Carson and Jane Goodall Science through observation at that times, 1950s. A thoughtful concise write-up of trees deep observation, data collection, and analysis.

Roots section, begin with a remarkable, ancient technique of story-telling, the origin of characters, their love for the majestic trees, the Chestnut, Mulberry, Ash and Oak, Red wood and many more, all sturdy and strong, rooted deep and strong with families in the book, later all nine characters evolve and merge as one like a trunk of a tree, together they try to build eco-resistance against the multi-millionaire loggers, impart wisdom of trees.

Later the characters re-invent themselves, mingle and branch like the crown of a tree, sometimes shining green and giving the best at other time perished. The story is embedded with entertainment, art, literature, love for books, video games, music and drama.

The Seed, is parallel to human old age, mostly self-questions of the actions and consequences, of earlier stages of life. Seeds need fire, acids, heat, exposure, sometimes transportation to back to full life again.

It’s a fiction book about trees. sounds THRILLING, right? Well, guess what, this book has won, like, every award there is (including the Pulitzer), so I had to get into it. If everyone is recommending a book on trees, one has to give a book on trees a go.

I did and I’m very glad I did. It was an absolutely fascinating book about trees! I learnt so much about trees, forests, nature, botany, botanicals, stuff I didn’t know I even had an interest in. And then the lovely characters whose lives revolve around these tree, they were charming too.

The characters create the stories that carry the reader through the book. The writing is cool too. I had no idea anyone could jazz up stories about trees so remarkably. But the author did and I think most readers will be pleasantly surprised.

I approached The Overstory with high expectations, given it had won the Pulitzer Prize and had rave reviews. On that basis I was a bit disappointed. The author starts with a series of short stories of each of the seven key characters in the work, and gradually intertwines their lives over the remaining 450 pages.

It almost works, but a couple of the characters never quite intertwine with the others, and it isn’t clear why they are there at all. The uniting theme is that of trees and their characters and longevity, which compares favorably with that of humans.

It’s compelling and engaging, but sometimes Powers is trying just a bit too hard. Perhaps it had a greater impact on American audiences than Australian, as I suspect our attitudes towards old growth forests are now more positive (after the battles of the 1980s and 1990s).

There is some beautiful writing in this work, but it left me just a little unsatisfied.

I absolutely loved this book. It’s my first Stephen King novel and I can’t wait to explore more of what he’s written. His dialogue and narration are fantastic. This is not only a great time-travel story — it has a great romance story which I didn’t even know I wanted until he got me so invested in these character’s relationship.

Beautifully done and I’ve never had a more visceral reaction to an ending before.

I am a huge Stephen King fan and this book is one of my all time favorite books! King really knows how to tell a story and keep you engaged! He is seriously a master storyteller! I don’t know how his brilliant mind comes up with all that it does! This was a big book but I could hardly put it down!.

what??? I put it off and put it off because let’s face it, that’s pretty daunting! Here’s the thing. it reads like it’s 300 pages! I was shocked at how quickly I read it. Stephen King is an amazing writer.

I don’t know how he does it but he does! Every time I have read one of his books I have not been able to put it down! (like, carry it though the house and read on the way from one room to another!!) This was no exception! You feel like you’re there, you know the characters, the flow is so smooth, it’s just a joy!No, it’s not a horror story! Get that out of your head! It has some time travel and some romance and some history, and the kitchen sink.

I think I would call it “mystical, historical fiction” hahahaAnyway, this is what I wrote right after I read it. “Wow!!!! What a great book!! It was not at all what I would have expected, certainly not an early Stephen King book.

He has gone much more sci-fi/fantasy/mystical than horror over the years. This was an amazing time travel story, a look at history and a little bit of romance all rolled into one! Read it! You will love it!”.

Bought this as a certified excellent condition device. Cosmetically it is in perfect condition. The only thing that the device had issues with was BSODs due to a display driver. Once the correct one was installed the BSODs stopped.

The computer is made out of premium materials and looks amazing. I constantly get complements on it. It’s fast and quiet. Battery life is amazing at 9+ hrs of use for me before I plug in. The only thing I seem to read a lot about is the keyboard as a negative.

There is not much travel on the keys which people seem to find as a negative. I have not had any issues and find it quiet and comfortable. If you are looking for a small easy to carry laptop with great battery life I definitely recommend this.

Pros: Very premium design, very fast, fantastic screen. Cons: Battery life could be better, keyboard can sometimes miss certain keystrokes.

This is the perfect tool for my doctoral research. The combination of e-ink tablet and e-reader with excellent OCR and PDF re-flowing software couldn’t be better. PDFs of academic papers are much more readable with the available re-flow tools and the ability to add hand-written notes in the margin is perfect.

Another nice feature is the two alternative back-lighting solutions providing either a warm or cool feel to reading in the dark. Plus all of the flexibility that a full Android OS brings makes obtaining content to read on the tablet a breeze.

I highly recommend this device for any avid reader or researcher.

This Stephen King novel was my favorite of all his books. It has complex characters, great banter, lots of twists and of course it’s loaded with mystery and suspense. It has it all! That’s probably why HBO made it into a series, which I throughly enjoyed as well.

However, if you plan to watch the HBO series – do yourself a favor and read the book first (the book is better, in my opinion). Great read, definitely recommend.

The last Stephen King book I read that made me actually jump (while I was on my own) was The Shining. This is a very good story and I really enjoyed it. I have copies of all his books in paperback and I re-read them (after a good deal of time has passed because they are pretty unforgettable) As I sometimes tend to forget little details.

I really hope they can make a film of this one too. I shall look forward to that.

So so good. I found this at target (stuck with that awful sticker on the cover) and bought it based on the back blurb alone. I’m a Stephen king fan already and knew I wouldn’t be disappointed. It was a scary lengthy read that gave me IT vibes.

It kept me up at night with its creepiness. Would definitely suggest others to read if you enjoy a supernatural thriller.

Cutting right to the chase: the adjustable color temperature screen is the greatest advance in Kindles since self-illuminating screens were introduced on the first Paperwhite… period, full-stop. And, at least for this reader, there’s no going back after trying it out.

It’s that good, and that much of a game changer. With both warmth and brightness (they have separate controls) turned up to about the midway point, reading on a Kindle transitioned for the first time from merely reading words, to the experience of reading words on a paper page in a book.

This might sound like “Who cares?” nonsense to most people, but if you’re in that small minority of the public buying a high-end Kindle, you understand what I mean, and it’s that kind of difference that you’re paying for.

The new lighting also transforms the experience of reading in a completely dark room. On existing Kindles, I could never find quite the right light level. If it was as bright as I wanted it to be, that felt too harsh on my eyes.

But bringing brightness down to a level that felt comfortable seemed too dim. Now, by simply increasing the lighting warmth on the new Oasis, you can have brighter light with no harshness in a dark room, making reading much easier on the eyes.

Finally, I’m happy to say that Amazon seems to have (finally!) nailed the quality control issues that have plagued new Kindle lighting systems in the past: No splotches. No dark spots. No shadows. No weird color casts.

Just smooth, even, beautiful lighting across the screen. So, is this the perfect Kindle for me? No. The perfect Kindle would be this new 7” screen in a Voyager form factor. The ergonomics of the Oasis are still not great for me, although my satisfaction with the new screen appears to make the annoyances matter less.

The 2019 Oasis is not only a keeper for me, but I’m actually trading in both my Voyager and original Oasis.

Love it. Many have complained about battery life but I actually don’t mind it. I do most of my browsing on my phone or computer and the device is specifically for reading. So far it’s lasted me about a week with heavy usage (like reading more than 10 chapters on high brightness and warmth).

I love the page turn buttons and the ability to disable the touchscreen so I can hold it better without touching to turn on accident. Was going to go for the paper white but glad I chose the Oasis. Hopefully Amazon upgrades it and I can trade in.

I love physical books but hate storing them because I never have space nor do I ever rarely re-read some books. This device is a game changer and makes more excited to read more books.

Best selling points are thin & very lightweight body, good size, and great value for the specs (11th gen Core i7, 16GB memory). Purchased mine on sale at $699 and was thrilled. But two VERY disappointing things from the Samsung brand: 1.

Below average display with bad viewing angles 2. No backlit keyboard Backlit keyboard: This feature is standard on almost all laptops nowadays, including my old budget laptop from 2014. Really absurd that it’s not included here in my opinion.

Display: The biggest negative by far. Samsung is one of the best display makers in the world but the one they used on this laptop is awful. – Viewing angles are very, very, VERY poor – looking at the display from any angle other than immediately standing in front of it, you immediately lose clear visibility and the screen looks washed out.

– If you want to watch anything with a friend or two by your side, the image will look dim or unclear. – Colors / Brightness / Contrast also look terrible out-of-box. Makes it seem very dark. If you want to fix this, I strongly recommend using Windows 11’s ‘calibrate display’ feature and the Intel Graphics app in the start menu to adjust settings – Being positive, the non-glossy texture is fine and brightness is great (only when looking straight at it) Overall very good value & well-built lightweight body, but the bad display and backlit keyboard were almost terrible enough for me to return it.

Ultimately I fixed the bad color/brightness and my wife needed something lightweight & easy to carry.

I’ve had a pretty great experience with the device. Build quality excellent due to the metal construction (a bit heavy, but it is to be expected). Sound was good as the dolby atmos helps with audio quality despite laptop speakers being small and downward firing.

The processor is snappy and handled multitasking like a champ. The Iris Xe Max graphics it’s paired with is able to pull some decent weight in FPSs like Valorant/Apex and MOBAs. Port selection I/O was good, but I do wish that it was a full size SD card reader instead of a micro one and an ethernet port.

Screen was OK, not that great viewing angles and has a hazy image; but I can live with that as a compromise since the other aspects of the device is good to great. But it is matte and a touch screen, so it is still a big plus in my book.

This being a Samsung product, it has the myriad of features and apps that allow it to function smoothly side by side other Samsung products. The ecosystem has developed quite nicely as much of hiccups and lag when transitioning between devices is gone.

One the biggest selling point of this device is that the charger is similar to that of the USB-C tablets/phones (it comes with a 45W fast charger). It is a great addition IMHO as this allows you to bring 1 less charging brick with you, and it is not that large to boot.

While battery life is decent, at least it can fast charge. Now to the not so great to “bad” stuff of the device. Webcam is only decent, microphone the same way. Keyboard has no backlight and it’s somewhat cramp even my small hands; additionally the key travel is short but that is a preference thing.

The fans are constantly on even when idle, though at least the fans aren’t too loud and don’t have a high pitched noise. Track pad, is bad and feels cheap. Honestly, I would have given it a 3 stars. if I had payed the original price, but at the price I got it (which is around $200 less than retail price) it was an excellent laptop with compromises in the right areas.

Sadly, I had to return it as I encountered a few issues with it. The USB ports were tight (it was so tight that it bent my logitech mouse receiver, luckily it didn’t damage the laptop). And the keyboard was acting up; when I used any of the bottom left keys it always triggered the windows key as well.

It’s a decent computer with the i7 and 512gb hard drive. It’s also very very light weight and ultra thin with a touch screen but that’s about where it stops being a good laptop. The things that are lacking, once all combined, are making me regret the purchase.

So the graphics card, is the only this that I blame myself for since I didn’t look at the specs for it graphics, it’s a basic card and nothing crazy fancy. Then my next problem is the ports, oh boy. Two usb 3.

0s & 1 usb-c for data transfers. I have an external hard drive that never gets unplugged so I have. To choose between my keyboard and mouse to put in the port ends up with me needing to get a docking station.

And there’s no Ethernet port, at all. So I can’t even connect to the internet directly to use this laptop with the most efficient internet. There is a no backlit keyboard, which sucks cause I like to work on my computer with dim lights and I have to turn my light up sometimes if I can’t see the keys.

The battery is terrible, don’t even try to use it unplugged unless it’s necessary and my charger, within less then a week, has copper coming out and bare wire is all exposed at the connector. When it arrive the plug it was already slightly bent and didn’t seat properly.

The fan is very loud and it still doesnt help to keep the computer from overheating.

As you are probably already aware, Berserk is an incredibly praised and influential series and this is the entry point to that series. I picked this up, not knowing much about the story or characters shortly after the author, Kentaro Miura had unfortunately passed.

To be completely blunt, this first volume is incredibly dark and gruesome, I’m not someone who is usually turned off by too much violence or atrocities in media but I found this difficult to read at points.

Additionally, I found it extremely difficult to root for or support the main character Guts, as he seemed to be completely irredeemable. But the illustrations depicted in this volume and throughout the series are nothing short of amazing, they’re so highly detailed that I struggled to believe that a human was actually capable of making such vivid images with nothing but white and black textures.

After finishing this volume, I honestly didn’t know whether or not I should continue the series, due mostly to my previously aforementioned disgust in the main character, but I continued with the series and was captured completely in the 2nd and 3rd deluxe volumes.

Currently, I am up to the beginning of the 8th volume and the series is still blowing me away with incredibly dark characters and somehow even greater illustrations. I’ve read a lot of manga & novels, and I’ve never read a story like Berserk.

I highly recommend you give it a chance, even if you’ve never read a manga before. It’s a series that will stick with you. Every day, I finish work eagerly anticipating reading even more!.

There’s nothing negative I could possibly say about berserk itself and the story. Absolute master class in dark fantasy, from the beautiful, lively artwork, to the intricately woven story of incredibly fleshed out characters, and the thin line between love and hate.

The only thing that negates a 5 star rating is something that comes down to the physical copy that I personally received. The ribbon in the spine of my book that is supposed to bend and create an eye for helping to spread the pages properly when reading, is unfortunate stuck to the outer spine of my copy.

This makes it so when I’m reading the whole spine of my book bends instead of just the inside ribbon. This has caused morphing of the book, where the whole spine should have a curved look and feel, mine has been flattened at the top and curves half way down the spine, and when reading the book for only a few seconds it causes one side to bend and stick out a lot more than the other.

Overall this is still a great book to pick up for the story, and the look of the spine when sitting on your shelf. The problems with my copy only come down to the one I own, and is fairly rare to have this happen.

I’m not a huge manga reader or anime watcher, my tastes are pretty niche in that I prefer shorter action\horror series rather than super long-running series such as One Piece. This is only my third manga after Fist of the North Star and Hellsing, but I’m so glad I’ve begun this epic journey, if you’re a fan of dark fantasy or looking for a gateway into other manga, Berserk is an amazing, violent, heartbreaking and deeply interesting series right from the get-go.

If you can handle the dark content (and believe me it gets VERY dark, especially in later volumes), i 100% recommend this to anyone! The character writing and world-building is amazingly done with the way that story events unfold, it gets you completely immersed.

These huge leather-bound volumes are fantastic and high quality, can’t imagine a better way to experience reading this series (I HIGHLY recommend listening to the soundtracks from the various anime adaptions while reading as they suit perfectly, especially the tracks by Susumu Hirasawa).

I’m such a super-fan of Berserk already only a couple of months after getting into it and my only regret is that it took the sad passing of its author/artist to get me to begin reading it. R. I. P. Kentaro Miura.

I have this Kobo from 2015 that is still going strong. I got this for my wife and she is avid book reader. I will provide some key it’s that I liked in this new Clara HD 1. The first thing I liked about this reader is Overdrive integration and also the reason why I blight his e-reader.

Borrowing books is super easy from public library into this. Works perfect with Toronto public library 2. Changing the light blue light level. This is extremely important for me because I would fall asleep when reading and setting the backlight yellow just helps with that.

3. Interface is snappier compared to my old kobo. Easy to navigate between interfaces 4. Connects to wifi so no need to connect it to load books. 5. Batter life is same as my old one, at least I get few weeks of reading out of it.

6. Comes with only charging cable so you would need to use your phone charger to charge this it’s USB A to Micro USB connector.

I love the reading experience with this product. It’s a nice size, and lightweight. The font, spacing, brightness can be adjusted and are great in any light. However, although I’m comfortable using a wide variety of computer programs and apps, I HATE the KOBO file transfer process.

I have downloaded and read about 10 books from the library via ADE so far, and every time, it is a struggle. Several times, the book has appeared in my reader under my books, but won’t open, saying that the device isn’t authorized, despite de-authorizing and re-authorizing.

At times this happens and then the next morning, it suddenly appears in working order. The web browser is from the stone-age. The price is good, but I would rather have paid more money and have it easier to use.

I would not recommend buying this.

This is a great little e-reader. Awesome display, great for reading or browsing the web before bed without disrupting sleep cycles with blue light (provided you keep the lights low).
