20 Best Tortillas For Diabetics (2022 Updated)

The Carb Balance tortillas are a wonderful product and I have used them for several years. When I first started using them, they were 10 inches in diameter. The last few purchases (orders made online), the tortillas were 8 inches in diameter at approximately the same price as the 10″ ones; two sizes were not available for choices.

I may have missed it, but I have seen nothing to alert consumers to the size difference. Why are the 10″ Carb Balance tortillas no longer available for consumer purchase? Why is there no pricing adjustment relative to the size? I found no diameter data on the packaging.

Because of the reduction in size with no pricing adjustment and the lack of consumer information re the reduced size and pricing, I am lowering the Value Rating. Also FYI, one of the large grocers still has the nutrition label for the 10″ size on its web site through Ibotta even though the product description states the size as 8″.

I’ve been keto for the past 3 years and I have tried every low carb/keto friendly tortilla out there. These La Banderita® Carb Counters are hands down the very best and closest to a regular flour tortilla you will find! Other brands have a nasty after taste or the texture of dried cardboard.

La Banderita torts are super soft and pliable and can be used for so many keto friendly creations. PLEASE BRING THEM INTO THE CLUBS or at least have them available for shipping. They are super hard to find in my area.

I couldn’t do keto without them! Buy in bulk and throw them in the freezer. They defrost perfectly and it doesn’t alter their taste or texture after cooking, either.

I always have 2-3 packs of this at my house at one time. They are soft and pliable even before you toast them up. I like to fill mine in the morning with some eggs, cheese, and hot sauce. (I am big into making sure I hit my macros for the day since I am lifting weights) I find these hold together A LOT better than and other low carb tortillas I find.

They also have great fiber in them (yes that is important to keep things moving lol) My family enjoys these as well, were as I had to always get the regular flour ones for them and low carb for me. I would recommend these to anyone who needs something quick to do wraps and are looking to keep their carbs lower.

I live a ketogenic lifestyle and I’ve tried so many low carb tortillas only to be disappointed. These are, by far, the best tortillas I have had!! You’ll notice right away the super soft and tender texture.

Unlike other low carb tortillas, these are not dry, hard to fold or have a cardboard taste. I wish I had found these sooner. Sadly, my local store does not carry these. I discovered them while on vacation and they stayed fresh while we were in the car and using for lunches.

At home, they bake up beautifully in my enchilada, burrito and even casserole recipes. Wished our local store would discontinue some of the unedible brands they now carry and replace with these. It is a night and day difference in taste, texture and quality.

When I had to go on a low fodmap diet, I had to avoid eating tortillas. These tortillas were the only ones that didn’t make my stomach upset. They taste so good and I didn’t even miss eating regular tortillas.

I like to buy the Costco pack as it is a bit cheaper than the regular packs in the store. I wish they were more affordable as these are a much better option than traditional tortillas.

I was just diagnosed with pre diabetes and freaked out. After learning how to read food labels, I set off to the grocery store with a different focus when I found these. The label fit the bill so I decided to give them a try.

Now, there is always a package in my freezer because I can’t always find them when I need them. They taste great too!!.

The street taco size are PERFECT, and I love the Carb Balance Flour wraps – they don’t taste low carb. Unfortunately, the carb balance flour don’t appear to come in the street taco size, and the carb balance whole wheat taste like cardboard.

Why can’t we get the Carb Balance Flour in either the Street Taco or Fajita sizes?!?!?!.

Recently started a low-carb lifestyle to improve my health. Taco Tuesday is always fun with my family; we are always experimenting with different meats and veggies as the base for our tacos. I was doing taco bowls the past couple of weeks, which are fine.

but these little tortillas have great flavor (no weird aftertaste or texture) and totally brought back the familiar taste and fun of eating with my hands to Taco Tuesday.

About 5 months ago, my husband was diagnosed with diabetes. Since then we tried several low carb options. We are happy to have noticed the La Banderita Carb Counter Whole Wheat Wrap Tortillas. These are tasty, very soft and hold strong whatever is stuffed in the wrap.

The price in Target is cheaper than buying elsewhere.

These are by far the best tasting low carb wraps ever! They have an amazing taste, and you wouldn’t even know they are low carb & low calorie. They hold together very well for being low carb. My only wish is that my local Target(s) would carry them.

Have to buy at other grocery stores or order online!! We can’t go without these for our wraps! They are delicious!! Please carry in-store!.

I like these tortillas for meal prep. They hold up fairly well. They have a good deal of fiber, which I find a great attribute. They’re also fairly low carb. The only thing I’d change about these is I’d make them just a little larger.

Sometimes the small tortillas are hold to roll.

I love these tortillas for all the reasons they print on their package and also for the points made by other reviewers. What I didn’t see are comments about sodium levels in these tortillas, Maria and Ricardo’s contain only 130 mgs of sodium as compared to other low carb tortillas which have up to 270mgs of salt added to their product.

This is important to those who have to watch how much salt they consume in addition to the sodium contained in what you put on the tortillas. I’m glad I found this product. would be nice to have a larger version as well!.

Sucralose, a chemical sweetener, is included in the ingredient list of this product. And this chemical sweetener makes many people like myself sick with a fast heartbeat, shortness of breath, headaches, and stomach upset.

Why they added a chemical sweetener to flour tortillas is beyond me. Real flour tortillas have NO sugar in them. So they must be using a bitter ingredient and are trying to mask the bitterness with a chemical sweetener.

No thanks! You can find other low-carb flour tortillas at Sam’s Club WITHOUT chemical sweeteners. Returned and will not purchase this product again.

The tortillas are soft and chawy and taste very close to regular flour tortillas! My hubby and daughter didn’t know they were eating low carb/low calories tortillas! It has 0g net carb and only 20 calories each.

These wraps are soft – even when left in the fridge. They are flavorful and don’t break when flexed like other wraps and sells sometimes do. Plus they are low carb and high fiber. As a type 2 diabetic I am always looking for low carb options and these are 100% the BEST low carb wrap brand you will find.

I use these wraps as taco shells and even have made chips with them in the oven for a low carb nacho tray. So versatile and taste great!.

These tortillas are extremely dry, strange flavor, and will not be a repeat purchase. Based on other reviews we expected a better quality. I made chicken wraps for our lunches and while we ate them, they simply aren’t good.

I tried heating them in the microwave, not good. Heated in a skillet over low heat, no better. Others might like them but it’s a huge no from our family.

These are low carb and very easy to work with. I use these in place of a bun or bread since I am following a dirty keto diet. I use these for tacos, hamburger wraps, hotdog wraps, salad wraps, and generally anything that you want to eat where you generally use bread or buns.

They have a very soft texture and work well with anything. I sometimes just heat a couple up for 30 seconds in the microwave and eat for a low carb snack.

First, these are zero NET carbs. I’ve been buying mama lupe’s low carb tortillas for many years so I thought I’d give these a try. So glad I did. Even though they have a few more total carbs and cost a bit more, I will be buying these from now on.

They taste much more like a regular wheat tortilla than the low carb version does. I’m sold!.

I just purchased these today and went to have one and the tortilla’s were so stucked together I had a hard time getting them apart. I tried microwaving but no change then put in the refriderator for a few hours.

Still hard to get apart but I was able to salvage some. The product taste great they just need to fix this issue.

I purchased the whole wheat ones which has less calories and no preservatives or artificial additives. Finally, the price is good for the quality.

These are delicious and healthy and they stay fresh in my refrigerator for quite a while. I use them to make soft tacos and burritos out of leftovers and occasionally quesadillas. They’re lighter than bread and don’t feel as heavy.

And they’re a good value.
