20 Best Torx Screwdriver Set (2022 Updated)

I needed a small Phillips head screwdriver to remove the back from an Apple Macbook so I could perform a memory upgrade for a friend. I considered cheaper tool sets, but they all had at least one bad review, so I decided to go first class, since it doesn’t make sense to use cheap tools with an expensive computer.

I am so glad I did. And now I have quality tools to work on any computer/cell phone on the market. I love my Klein tool kit and the case with the spring-loaded lock is especially nice. My father always used to say that going first class was usually cheaper in the long run and I have learned from experience that he was right.

I’m a Commercial HVAC Controls technician. I picked this kit up to toss in my laptop bag to replace the 32500 11-n-1 and the 32581 4-n-1 that I normally carry. While they weight about the same, the ability to have a much wider range of bits comes in really handy, especially for thermostats that have the 1/16″ set screws! It’s great to be able to go from a large Philips to a small flat-blade screwdriver without having to physically change tools; just swap in a new bit! The small space below the driver handle storage also lets me keep extra set screws & etc handy.

The spring-loaded slide lock latch keeps the container from opening in my bag! Also being an ET (Electronics Tech) I can easily disassemble items in the field to see why they failed or repair them! My only complaint the the screwdriver barrel itself, which feels like aluminum and not steel like other multi-bit drivers.

though I haven’t rounded it out yet.

This little thing is great for just about everything. I don’t recommend putting a lot of side pressure as the handle isn’t the strongest and it will break. However once I replaced it I had no issues.

Great for any small place you need and it can extend for those deep hard to reach spots.

Had to replace a previous Wera screwdriver after I stupidly used it to stop a piston rotating. Doh! As the quality of Wera is excellent, I decided to get this set. Well made set, good grip, sensible length, and each has identification on the top, however if they are in your toolbox, laid down, you won’t really see that? I noted that the flat bladed screwdrivers are more suited to electrical type screws as the blades are narrow & aren’t really wide enough for wood type screws, or wider headed screws.

Can’t comment on the laser tip, as my previous Wera didn’t have this, and the blade showed no wear after lots of use. Would need to be used for some time before I could comment on this set’s longevity!.

I bought these a month ago to replace an old insulated screwdriver set. These are the best insulated screwdrivers I’ve owned. The handle shape on the drivers are very easy on the hands and the laser etched tips give extra grip when tightening/loosening terminals.

Although I don’t use the #1 Robertson driver, I’m very happy with this product.

Having used lot of screwdrivers, these are leaps and bounds above anything else. They may seem expensive but will last a lot longer than the likes of Stanley etc. The only downside is they are not magnetic out of the box but thats not a deal breaker, the laser etched tips really do work, providing extra bite on stubborn screws.

Having used a stanley set before that round off at the slightest bit of resistance, the wera ones are tough and comfy to use. The hardest part will be stopping people nabbing them out of my toolbox!.

The quality of this set match’s any that I have purchased in the past at a reasonable price without the sacrifice of quality. Handles are very user friendly for spinning in hand or for tough situation’s where you have to apply a lot of pressure and torque.

The top of the handle has a hard plastic knob if you have to give it a tap or two that does not compromise the look or feel of handle. The handle has the perfect amount of softer material for excellent gripping power but enough hard material to let it glide threw your hand while spinning.

The way the handle is designed with the combination of soft and hard material helps keep your screw drivers in place in your tool pouch in a upright position so you wont be digging in the bottom of your pouch.

The tips are well designed and have performed as I would expect with any craftsman tools working flawlessly. I do commercial and residential remodeling and use these daily. After receiving these and using them awhile I purchased a set for my truck and boat.

I’ve had the opportunity to use this screwdriver set around my house and I can honestly say the handle design and materials are great! The new handle design really gives you better grip especially when you have a seized screw to break free.

Only downside I’ve encountered is wiping dirt/oil off the handles. The rubber material makes it slightly difficult to easily clean for storage. Overall good quality and very happy with overall design.

I have had these screwdrivers for about a week, I am a technical student who uses these every day, and I must say that I love them. The screwdrivers are very rugged, I have put them through some torture and they held up with my other professional use screwdrivers.

The handles are very comfortable and will handle a wack from a hammer or a wrench when in a pinch. The only improvement that I would suggest is that I use a tool bag getting on and off boats, so I used a a sharpie to mark the type and size of the screwdriver on the butt of the handle, all in all they are great.

Why not a whole set in one? It’s depend what do you do and how much you use the tool. When you buy a quality tool like wiha during years you understand. Because you have a safe and less work. Tools is 70 % of the work that you do every day! You can go shipper but at the end you are spending more money because you have to buy more, more and more.

Final answer you never have nothing and you’ll be looking for something that you never know if you’ll going to find. Tools need to be durable, confortable, trusted and useful. I found my way in Wiha! I’m electrician for 33 years already and I use wiha for more than 10 years.

My beemer MC friends and my machinist friends both recommended I get WIHA when I asked them what good tool brands were there for Torx. So on strength of that I ordered this set for light duty disassembly, looks good and seems to work well.

It will make working on my car and MC a bit easier.

I assumed that this being a “set” it would come with some sort of tray or canvas roll up bag. It came with nothing. A bit disappointed. Good quality tool but it would be nice to have something to keep them all together in the “set”.

When I disassemble one of my knives to maintain it, the thought of stripping one the relatively soft screw heads puts a pit in my stomach. The best way to avoid ruining one’s day by doing so, is to use the right tools for the job.

I approach these projects with my Wiha torx drivers in one hand and a heat gun in the other. Red loctite is a killer. I have never twisted the tips on a Wiha drive yet and I am hoping that I never break my own record.

Tip: Whatever size torx head you think is on a screw, always test the fit of the next larger size first, before proceeding. Learn from the mistakes of others. :-).

I’ve only owned this set for about two weeks. However, in that short time I’ve been able to get screws loose in my knives that I wasn’t able to using my Husky set and another off-brand T6 torx bit that broke.

The handles are a rubbery soft grip and the tips are chrome so they’re much stronger than other torx sets. I’ve only used the T8 & T6 but they really get a “bite” on the screw and make working on my knives much easier.

The only drawback is that if I have a knife with the same size on both sides of the pivot screw, I need to use my Husky or another bit to hold one side in place. But still, these are a good value. A little on the pricey side, but do yourself a favor and buy these FIRST.

I consider Wiha to be the Festool of hand tools, excellent quality and ergonomics. I have a number of your hand tools and appreciate the feel and control while performing a task. Simply well done.

Great little set to have in your arsenal of tools to have on hand! Quick and easy to find what you’re looking for! Tough as nails, you never have to worry about the tips! I use mine for working on my EDC tools without ever worrying about stripping any screws!.

If your looking for a professional grade set of Torx drivers then look no further! I spent way too much money, time and effort trying to pinch pennies and buy cheaper sets. All I got was stripped screw heads, stripped driver heads and a stripped bank account! Don’t second guess the quality of this set.

They are hardened tipped and ergonomically precise so you can have piece of mind that whatever your working on will be completed properly and without frustration.

I bought a small set of Klein brand screwdrivers from the local Home depot that I work for. I have owned them a couple years now and wow, what a great set of drivers they have been! My first experience with Klein tools however began many, many years ago when my father retired from one of the big three auto makers.

He was in final assembly and had his own tool box. As the tradition goes in final, when you retire you got to keep your toolbox. As part of that box were slew of very nice insulated Klein screwdrivers! I have been using these same screwdrivers for many years on everything from automotive applications to Gun Smithing! These boys really shine however when working on electronic applications.

Out of all of these Klein screwdrivers, only one of them has ever failed on me, and it’s failure was 100% my fault. Even than it wasn’t a loss as I re ground the tip and made a gunsmithing tool out of it! The bottom line here is that I own many old Klein tools, and even a few newer ones as well! They all work just as they were intended to! I also dont see any difference in quality between the old stuff and the new stuff.

Many manufacturers cheapen things up over time however as far as I can see this is not the case with Klein. Thank you for making great tools!.

These are comfortable to hold, strong, and have excellent tips for gripping the screw. I got tired of inferiors screwdrivers (esp phillips head) that just get chewed up at the tip. I went and looked more online for brands that professionals rated as best and this brand kept coming up in mentions as well liked.

Now I see why. Ive purchased these now in many sizes and have been throwing out my older, poorly made or machined screwdrivers. Really happy with these.

I bought this, along with a T25 screwdriver, for tightening the last little bit of screws after running them down with my impact driver. The #2 bit of this tool, with the length, accesses kreg pocket holes.

I always worry that using a drill or impact driver will over drive the screws in and prevent a good joint. This alleviates that worry. I wouldn’t necessarily run the screw in completely by hand, but I’d use this for the last 1/4 turn worth to snug it down.

Same goes for the T25 I bought (different brand) for construction screws. Klein makes good tools at a cost. I’d recommend spending the money on good tools rather than paying twice for a crap tool and then a good tool.

I’m an IBEW electrician, I work mostly industrial sites, the only thing I’d love more about my wiha set is I’d took the time to read about the different grips they offer, my standard set is not intact anymore, I’ve lost a few over time and as I replace, I replace with Wiha.

The ones from my original set are my #2 Phillips and my 5. 5mm (receptacle screws) and the 2mm tweaker. I also bought a thermostat screwdriver with the softgrip handle as even though Wiha is famous for their other styles of tweakers, I love the small softgrip handles.

I’ve tried a lot of brands and I still use some specialty drivers I can’t find a good Wiha replacement for, but I always check and make sure.

Wiha has a well-earned reputation. These all feel great in hand and are very comfortable to use. they seem to be well-made, and I would recommend them to anyone.

These screwdrivers are the bomb! Fit and finish are great. They feel great in the hand, and the proprietary steel finish is amazing. This set had everything I wanted, except for a #3 Phillips and stubbies.

Spent a few bucks to buy those separately, and I am now set for life. Would definitely buy again!.

This is a nice set for anyone with a pocket knife collection. You have most of the tiny Torx drivers you will need for the screws. There is a nice coating applied to the tips for enhanced durability.

They are a quality set for the price. Shipping was fast and I had them within a week. Overall, I am very pleased with this Wiha Torx set.

Great quality as always from Wiha. Great little set had everything I needed for the job and then some. Very good retention. Needed to remove some tiny machine screws in my Gerber knife. Performed the job flawlessly, without a slip or hitch.

High quality drivers are essential for the tiny screw sizes. Poor quality drivers will ruin the screw heads. These are the good drivers, but they are expensive. The package can be resealed and used as a case, but it’s fairly large.

A case or a pouch would have been nice.

Okay, this kit is not Snap-On but I think if you know how to use a screwdriver properly, these should last a good long time, and there is a warranty too. Heard people whine that these break. Guess what so do Snap-On.

Tips are good for the price. The shank is not a through shank so no banging with a hammer. You shouldn’t be banging on them anyway. Not what they are designed for. They do make screwdrivers specific for that , but not by this manufacturer.

If that’s what you need get Wiha tools heavy duty screwdrivers. These Gearwrench are quality medium duty screwdrivers and have most Philip and slot sizes in the set, plus a couple of Torx. Handles are nice and comfy for my monster hands.

The storage case is kind flimsy, but if your just going to use it in a tool drawer it should be fine. Save your money on organizers, unless you have a shallow drawer or you just have to have the screwdrivers a certain way.

Bottom line, good decent complete set of screwdrivers at a reasonable price, should last for years if used properly and taken care of. Gearwrench Lifetime warranty. Cons, don’t know if these are American made (though heard rumors that they now are which would pull it from the con), storage tray very cheap and flimsy.

I would recommend these to anyone starting out, or wants a complete set that matches and are ergonomic that doesn’t break the bank. Are there better screwdrivers out there, you betcha, but it’s going to cost you.

Wiha is one of them. Sorry Snap-On lovers, I think these are a strong competition at a much more reasonable price point. Definitely would buy again.

The screwdriver set is as complete as you can get. It has everything you need including torx drivers and precision stuff. the grip is amazing and comfortable. The tips are magnetic and hold your screws with no problems, the blow molded case is nice and sturdy for long term toolbox storage.

Don’t waste your money on inferior tools stick with gearwrench.

Bought 2 sets of the GEARWRENCH 20 Pc. Phillips/Slotted/Torx Dual Material Screwdriver Set. One for home and one for work. Home gets a little use but work is a professional environment. I build automation controls.

I have been using these for about a month and can honestly say that I truly got my moneys worth. All are quality tools that i’m sure will last for years, I also have a full set of the metric ratcheting wrenches I have owned for years that are absolutely fantastic.

Gearwrench is a go to tool for me.

This is a really nice quality set. This set has great handle grips and a nice assortment of sizes both flat head and philips head. Really nice. I am buying another set for my son.

Good little set of screwdrivers from Wera. Well made, comfortable in the hand, they dont roll off the table and are first class for quality. Most people dont need the daft plastic holder thing but that aside although costly I can’t recommend them enough.

There’s cheap screwdrivers, decent screwdrivers and there’s these. The handle grip is very well designed which is just as well as they grip a screw like they’re glued to it. I don’t like using slotted screws normally but with these it’s like screwing a philips or posi-drive.

There’s a YouTube vid where a guy puts the philip driver into a tightened screw on the side of a 600lb wheeled tool box and pulls it along a few feet. He does the same with a regular philips driver and it just pulls away.

By a country mile the best set of screwdrivers I’ve ever owned.

So far, these have served me well. Seems to be hardened steel shafts that grip the Torx screws very well. Long shafts that easily reach recessed screws (which is exactly what I needed). The head of the handle is wide and rotates.

This makes for stability and quick screw extraction and insertion. Bit size is clearly visible on top of the handles. Love the included storage case.

Stripped the end of driver on first use. Poor quality set. I have plenty of Milwaukee hand and power tools and have always been pleased with their quality and performance. Picked this over a cheaper option cause I figured Milwaukee would be of better quality.

The end of the drivers are too soft.

This is a poor torx driver set. The first time that I used the T-6, it rounded out the splines. Terrible torx set. The handles are pretty nice, though. Stick with Wiha, Wera, PB Swiss, etc. These are made from soft steel.

Good value for the price! Organized in the tray to keep in order in the toolbox. Pretty much everything included.

Great well made set of screw drivers. needed a good set to get me into those hard to reach places that changeable tipped drivers just don’t reach. Having some other iFixit sets I chose to stick with them.

Overall seem well made, I cannot comment on durability yet as I haven had them long enough. Being VERY picky there was some excess material on the handle that absolutely does not effect performance or comfort, just would not expect it there on a premium priced product.

Strong magnetic tips but the rubber comes of a bit and they feel a bit cheap. The case is very nice thou and the Inlay can be taken out.

This is a gift so don’t know what the screwdrivers themselves are like. They were delivered incredibly quickly and safely packaged.
