20 Best Totes For Moving (2022 Updated)

These bins are my favorite and I, in general, am a bin fanatic. I have a 24Gal one as well. The small bin is mighty and solid – you could sit on this and stand on it if needed when rigging etc. I like that there’s a lip and basically you can fill this thing up to the lip and everything will fit.

The shape since it bowls isn’t ideal for square packing but it leaves a lot of nooks for packing soft items and tucking them into the sides and around to fit odd shaped things. In the 8gal, I fit all my kitchen items (stove, pots, dishes, fuel, utensils) and house items like trash bags, soaps, wipes, collapsible basin, towels etc.

I think we also put an ax and a shovel as well in it. In the 24Gal one we put our camp stuff – like the tent, bags, pads, tarp, tarp poles, chair. The action packers are perfect for car camping and as far as we’ve experienced, waterproof – as long as you make sure the lid is on right and snapped shut.

We still tuck them under the picnic table at night but when left out during the day and exposed no moisture was found inside the bin. I imagine if you wanted to make a readiness bin for emergencies for supplies this would work well too size wise.

The action packers are wonderful for car camping, waterproof – when shut and snapped closed.

I picked one of these up yesterday to hold my camp kitchen related gear for camping. I almost didn’t get it when I saw the price, but now I’m glad I did. It’s a perfect size to hold my backpacking stove, cookware, cups, dishes, fuel etc.

My only complaint is that I will need two padlocks to lock this size whereas the larger ones have jusrt one latch. I’m also going to use a lightweight cable just to secure it to a tree or picnic table so it doesn’t walk away with all my pricey stuff.

I wish there was a better way of securing a cable and lock, but I’ll figure it out. It would be nice if Rubbermaid had more information, ideas and suggestions on their website on methods to lock and secure these.

Still get’s a full 5 stars from me for being a well made and (looks to be) weather resistant storage box.

All plastic, but sturdy. Like you could sit on it sturdy. Locks solidly and can be reinforced with a padlock. It’s about the size of a small cooler so perfect for random gear. I use it to store camper setup supplies and it lives under my teardrop after I’ve set up camp.

Perfect for that use.

These are incredible and I already want more. We live in the country so I’m already very hesitant to put any items into storage, the garage or building, because there is a fear of bugs or mice getting inside.

They have ruined all kinds of clothing, summer stuff, even ate through a very large and expensive family pool float that we bought years ago. They seem to always find a way. These totes are crafted so well and seal up completely so I don’t see us having any issues.

It took no time at all for me to pack them full and I like that I can strap or zip tie the closed. I would even use a lock if I felt it was something more vital, or wanted to hide the future Christmas gifts well from the kids.

The size is large and accommodating, easily fitting the family’s seasonal wardrobe in one and excess indoor items in another. I’m really trying to get more organized and pare down the clutter this year since we are all home so much and these give great peace of mind while being effective toward our goal of saving certain things, not tossing them or waiting for them to be ruined by weather or pests and having to toss later.

I will definitely be looking into converting some of my existing storage to this type of tote next.

Though these are more spendy than your average tote, I consider these to be a good investment for items you want to keep completely protected. I have had a variety items that I need to keep stored securely.

Childhood mementos I want to keep safe from moisture. Clothing and blankets I want to keep free from infestation. Food for humans and pets that I want to keep pests away from. One tip I would give is to be sure to add some moisture-absorbing desiccant packets if you are storing these in an area that doesn’t have a regulated temperature; because these are airtight, any moisture trapped inside can condensate if the temperature varies too much.

I wanted totes to store flour, potato flakes, pasta, boxed dinners and other dry, pantry items in. I required very sturdy totes and wanted them to be secure and stackable. These totes filled every requirement I was searching for.

They are a VERY heavy-duty quality and will stand up to years of use. I can fill them with pantry items and stack them without worrying that they will be crushed under the weight of the totes stacked on top of them.

Getting four in the set makes it very nice and just the right number of them to keep my foods separated. These are the highest-quality totes I have found anywhere and I will be buying another set of them for future use.

Very convenient for storing clothing items, water proof just don’t over stuff these bags they are endurable but over stuffing them will cause possible rip or zipper being rip or torn off do not place sharp objects in bags or bulk items this may cause a rip in bag so any complaints from another buyer you probably did something wrong or was ruff with storage bag and over stuff them personally speaking they are a movers perfect item instead of bulky boxes that will take up more space and for even mors room I suggest investing in space saving bags for clothing items this will suck out all unnecessary air they reduce the bulk ness and make room for more items to be stored in the storage bags.

Also keeps out odors and mildew if storing for longer periods of time. Exceptional strong endurance. I highly recommend these storage bags.

This is the only thing that contains my cat’s bathroom messes. He’s a vertical pee-er so every traditional litter box leaks at the lid seam, and every other storage bin is too short. Even 17” tall bins aren’t enough to contain the flood, it just shoots out onto the wall or floor.

I don’t understand how he does it. I’ve spent hours scouring the internet since these got discontinued, but there is not a single other bin that has the 20” height. I have settled for buying a bulk pack and storing them empty until replacements are needed (which is only once per year) rather than switching to a box that I know will leave me with a giant cat pee mess.

Expensive as a storage bin, but super cheap compared to actual litter boxes!.

This tote is perfect. Durable material, the blue is so pretty, and I love the easy-to-grab handles. I actually used it to make a homemade kitty litter box, by layering it with the “Clear/Blue Storage Tote 23 5/8 in x 18 5/8 in x 13 5/8 in H, 1 PK” and drilling holes in the bottom of this bin to create a sifting box.

Everything in the product write-ups are true. I am transferring all of my totes to this brand. I appreciate that I can put my fingers through the hole and grab on with my whole hand, rather than trying to carry a heavy tote on just my fingertips.

I appreciate having clear totes or opaque, but clear is my preference. The plastic is sturdy enough to take some knocks without cracking. I appreciate the locking lid, but it is flexible enough that I open just one latch and lift the lid a little to slide one more thing inside.

The lids allow dependable stacking when I have many totes in my van, but they are easy to slide from one stack to another as I am sorting. They are large enough inside to hold other totes or plastic pencil boxes, making it very easy to sort items within the tote.

The dry-erase panel is icing on the cake to have right there on hand. You can use it where it placed or peel and stick it elsewhere on the tote as suits your needs.

My son is preparing to move to college. At first he thought being less than an hour from home, he wouldn’t pack much. As the summer has gone on, he has realized not that he needs/wants personal items but also will need more than the minimum wardrobe and household items.

I convinced him he will also need some storage bins for containing his belongings in a suite of four. “Dad, can you get me some bins?” OfficeMax had a few sizes but the 27gallon black tote with yellow lid is perfect.

Initially bought these to move Funko Pops that were going to be stored in Pods between selling a house in one state & moving to another. After seeing how convenient these were, we went and bought a bunch more to use in lieu of packing boxes.

Here’s why you should consider these totes (PROS): great price at Sam’s compared to other retailers, lasts much longer than cardboard (protects contents from moisture & doesn’t attract silverfish), so easy to stack (both full & empty), much quicker to load into a tote than a cardboard box and you can just put the lid on rather than having to deal with the time-suck of taping up the bottoms & tops of boxes (saves time & money), thick plastic offers greater protection over cardboard boxes.

CONS: Sometimes hard to find large quantities in stock due to their popularity. (Thankfully we lived in an area where we could drive a half-hour north to another Sam’s Club and find them in stock when the one closer to us was out.

) & the smell of the new plastic really throws out the stink for a bit as you pull the next empty one from the stack. Other than those small things, I am saddened we ever wasted money on those U-Haul boxes and those Rubbermaid totes which fit less due to the bottom not being as wide as the top and that are more expensive and not as durable as these Tough Boxes are.

Oh, and you can put a lock and/or zip ties on these, too, which is super nice.

This is the sturdiest storage bin that I’ve ever bought. It’s thick and very well made. I like how the cover snaps on the lower part with a definite click — you know that it’s on and won’t come off.

Also, two of the smaller GreenMade 12-gal. bins will fit perfectly side by side on top of this GreenMade 27-gal. one. However, the bigger bin will not stack on top of the two smaller ones. Be aware that other brands like HDX look similar in size and color, but they are not interchangeable and will not fit together, specifically in stacking.

Extremely strong chemical odor from this product. I left it out to air out from outside breeze for a few days, NOTHING, then I tried to wash off the scent using hot water and expensive soap with a rag and then aired it out with outside air for a few days, NOTHING, then I washed it again using expensive laundry detergent that had a strong fragrance when a lot was used, then I aired it out with outside breeze for a few days, NOTHING AGAIN.

It eliminated the laundry smell to ensure it’s toxic chemical smell remains strong. It’s a truly horrid fume this container gives off, it’s like breathing in acid. Till this day, IT STILL has that strong chemical scent on it.

Then it’s weak, with nothing inside it, if you hold one end without holding the other end, it cracks around the handle area. Many times if I pick up an empty container, I will pick it up with one hand, so everytime I did that with this container, guess what? CRACK! I had bought 3 containers by the way.

So I highly recommend if you require 50 Gallon storage size, only buy this product if your brain is already damaged because it will give you head pains. Or if you are only keeping it outside, storing outside tools, then it’s fine as long as you hold it on both sides when picking up the container whether it’s empty or not.

DO NOT keep this product indoors because the smell will not go away and it will transfer the chemical odor to whatever you place in it. The Yellow lid and handles seems to be the strongest smell compared to just the bin which is black, shockingly.

Usually the dark painted products have the stronger fumes.

I own a business, my fiance owns his own auto business. Between the both of us we have a lot of supplies, products, materials, parts, etc. These totes have been so beneficial and worth investing in. They are the only totes I have been able to find that don’t break!!!! You can stack them and they won’t fall over or fall through the lid.

Whether it’s heavy or light I can use the handle and wheels to easily move them, even if they are stacked a couple high! Over the last 3 years I’ve purchased well over 35 of them, basically anytime I see them.

Only recently has the price doubled if not tripled so I’ve stopped buying them, at least until the prices are back to the reasonable $20-$25 range. I think the only recommendation I would have to make the product better would be to make the wheels about twice the size.

Well from reading previous reviews I was skeptical about these two. They came packed in one large box. First the both had the all the wheels, in place. They are larger than I had expected, even better they are sturdy.

cover fits well that snaps down with two end clasps. They fit real nice on top of each other, the bottom is molded to fit the top. Easy to move with one large handle on one end to pull on ground and two smaller handles on both ends to pick up.

Have bought them to store my jewelry displays, linens for display tables, tarps for the tent, small boxes for my jewelry, tapestries, they have about 30 to 40 pounds on stuff in each. Very happy with these.

Let’s face it, there are hundreds of brands of clear totes out there. So what’s special about this one? The price! I needed to buy a few of these, so I checked the price online. Canadian Tire was by far the least expensive.

It wasn’t a sale, just their regular price.

Loved the wheels and handle. It was my favorite bin for moving in and out of college. It is a little expensive compared to most other bins but the handle makes it all worth it. I was able to wheel around the halls and corners all by myself.

I went back to get 2 more.

The day we got this and went to use it the latch snapped in half. It was a cheap piece of thin plastic. The bin was then unusable because the lid wouldn’t stay on. Very disappointed as the wheels would have been convenient.

This bin was perfect for storing and moving books. Deeper bins or too big, and the books would slide around or be too heavy to lift. These bins are deep enough to fit a decent stack of heavy objects, sturdy enough to hold the weight, and they stack well.

I have in the past purchased more expensive totes which were by Hefty , smaller and flimsier. Then I found these. I needed totes to organize a storage unit so I tried a couple of these and love them.

I believe I have 40 of them now and will be buying more soon. During this pandemic we are going through, I have one that has paper goods in it: TP, Kleenex, PT, one that has drinks in it which is heavy and another one that has non parishables in it which is heavy.

They are holding up very well. I use them for a lot of other things also. I recommend these to anyone. I would not but any other totes. As far as smell, I’ve never had a problem with smells.

Purchased two of these. They had black bottoms and black lids. When we got them home, we noticed a bad odor. Added charcoal and closed lid for one week. The smell was still there. It was a combination of a foul petroleum and swamp odor.

Set out side for one week with lids off, but smell did not go away. Returned for store credit. Would not recommend, unless you are storing something equally smelly, like fertilizer or manure. Good quality and seems strong, but for the bad smell, it seems to be a good product.

I’ve been buying many of these for a few years. Recently they got rid of the black lids and started using a cheaper yellow lids. If you simply pick up the yellow lids you can immediately tell that they’re flimsier than the black ones.

I guess they had to cut costs somehow in order to keep the decent price point. But it will make me think about getting boxes elsewhere from now on.

These are great boxes and they pile up beautifully. It would be wonderful, however, if they could be available in all sorts of plain solid colors all year around such as: – Solid orange for Halloween decorations – Solid red for Christmas – Solid green for Summer games – Solid blue for plastic plates, glasses etc.

went to 4 different stores last November to obtain Orange Totes to store all the Halloween stuff – They confirmed they had them, but when arriving there they only had Grey ones. Perhaps a clear color code should be specified? Very much hoping that nice Orange ones will come out again in September! THANK YOU.

I have several of them. I use my to pack up our clothes during the season changes. They are easy to just stack neatly in a corner. I also have one for my dogs dry food. We have 2 dogs and they can eat so I buy 2 big bags a month and transfer the food to the storage bin to keep it fresh and so it doesn’t draw bugs.

They are very durable. I have had 3 of mine for 9 years now and they still look new. They have a couple different sizes to chose from and colors. So if your like me and buy different color ones for each household member it works really well.

I don’t like writing in them so yeah I buy different colors for each of us. For example blue for my oldest son, green for my youngest son, pink or purple for my daughter, grey for me and black for the dogs.

The totes are perfect for helping move. You can fit a good bit of items in them without it being too heavy. All came in good condition and with right amount of lids (which I was nervous about after reading reviews).

I’ve already packed some things in them and transported with them. They held up. I will say the ONLY con I can think of is that if you fill the bin too full it’s difficult to keep closed. The clasps that keep the lid on are not extremely heavy duty, but do the job for an appropriately packed tote.

Oh and the PINK IS VIBRANT! I LOVE THE PINK!.

I USED TO love these Roughneck storage totes in various sizes because they really were waterproof/bug proof because of the tight, snap-fit lids and their design. These totes were hard-to-find for a few years but then became available again.

I bought some last year and thought the plastic was thinner than previous years but ok. I bought 4 more earlier this week online for pickup and realized today that 3 of the 4 lids don’t snap close at all because lid handles seem shorter than they should be? Weird.

I’m debating whether to return these totes because the whole point is to have bins with good lids to prevent liquids and bugs from getting to the contents. I still have original Rubbermaid Roughneck totes from 12 years ago (light blue, navy blue, green, purple) that still retain their shape and lid tightness even after being stacked four high all these years.

There’s no way I can stack the new totes (unless contents are even and high enough) much less use these outside or in garage. Sad.

Rubbermaid has cut corners again. I’ve had some of these totes for over 20 years. They’re out go to camping tote, sturdy stackable and waterproof. I’ve kept a larger one outside [rain or shine] to store a small amp for music on the deck.

Over the years a sun exposed box cracked as did a lid. No complaints. Last week we bought two more. My wife noticed the lids felt a little flimsy and they didn’t snap closed like all our other totes.

I weighed two lids. The old one was 19. 5 oz. , the new ones 15. 7oz. Did Rubbermaid get aquired by venture capital, cutting corners for $? I’ve had a cushion box [since discontinued] that has kept out rain and rodents for 15 years.

A larger storage container I bought last year with two doors and a lift lid comes apart at the joints and needs bronze wool stuffed into the joints to discourage mice. Very disappointing.

This product met every one of my needs to an excellent level. I was at Walmart and found myself in front of the totes with a specific need, no, not storage. I had just found a hurt possum on the side of the road, and I needed something to transport the possum in.

Before you get upset, no I did not take the possum home to cook into vittles, I took the possum to a legit animal rescue. Back to the tote, as I walked the isle I noticed that most of the totes had pretty weak locking handles.

That is no good for my needs, the last thing I need is a loose hurt possum in my car, I mean right? That is when I came across your beautiful Sage Green tote. My eyes lit up the room as I realized that I had found the perfect Possum wrangling tote.

With delight and glee, I purchased this tote along with gloves, a blanket, and a broom (I wanted a shovel, but Walmart doesn’t seem to sell shovels? Who knew?). I was impressed at how well this tote fit into my car, it was almost like it was designed for my back seat.

This just keeps getting better. I drove back to where the injured possum was waiting my return, he didn’t look great. I gloved up, and tote in one hand (perfect size and shape to be wielded against an injured forest creature) and my trusty broom in my other, i slowly approached the injured subject of today’s tail (get it, because it has a tail).

My first attempt was a failure, but then I think that the Possum recognized the fine craftsmanship and quality of the Sterilite 30 Gal EZ Carry Plastic tote in black with sage green cover. A gentle nudge with the broom and the possum slid into the tote, quickly I righted the tote and grabbed the lid.

Let me tell you, that lid snapped into place with ease and a snap of security. The possum was mine for the ride, but he seemed to just be happy to be in such a fine quality tote. Driving as quick as I could, the Sterilite tote hugged and gripped my back seat, giving the possum a comfortable and snug ride.

When I arrived at the wildlife rehab center, the team working was impressed. Not with my ability to catch the possum, no they were impressed by the amazing quality tote that I picked to transfer the possum to them.

They were so impressed, they actually asked to keep it. My only con is that the Sterilite 30 gal tote with the sage green lid was not originally designed (although you could have fooled me) for animal transport, so I did have to use my knife to cut some air holes in the fabulous sage green lid.

Take it from me, if you are looking for a tote to use as a temporary animal rescue habitat, then look no farther than this tote. Rolls Royce, Grey Poupon, The Sterilite 30 Gal EZ carry plastic tote in black with sage green lid, marks of luxury.

I appreciated receiving this Tuff1 Tote via delivery. It’s nice when larger items are delivered! This bin is plenty big, with room enough for a lot of items. We’re using it in the garage for my dad’s old holiday lights, which I haven’t yet had the heart to get rid of yet.

The bin could be used for many items: toys, sports equipment, gardening items and laundry detergents/house cleaners. There is a ton of space, and the container is very strong as well with a sturdy lid! I would buy another one, but I would likely choose blue the next time.

Gray isn’t my favorite color, but since the container was given to me, the color wasn’t my choice! I might add some decorative stickers to mine this week so that it has a bit more personality!! “I received this product as part of a My-Take research study.

I made several purchases of these totes from 2016 to 2020, and all of them are decaying as if they had been left out in the sun for extended time. They’ve been kept in storage in my house, which of course is climate controlled.

These are the only totes that I’ve seen fail like this. I have totes from 1994 that have been in the hot attic that have lasted well, so I don’t know what the problem is. I do a lot of resell, so I have hundreds of totes of varying types.

The best new type is the clear modular stacker, as far as longevity goes, so I’ll stick with them.

This box is a super nice shape for some odd spaces. I was looking for tool storage. Right now, I have my tools and hardware stored in labeled cardboard boxes on a couple of 3 foot wide plastic shelves in the garage.

I don’t like cardboard, because I feel it doesn’t do well over time. This box looked promising, because it’s a perfect height to fit on the shelves of those big plastic shelves that can hold so much weight and are much cheaper than commercial steel shelves.

Two of these fit per shelf, they reach the height to use it well, and I can put a laundry detergent bottle in the small gap left between them. They also are clear and are sturdy enough to hold tools like a power drill, jig saw, and that kind of thing.

Those things are kind of bulky and this box is a nice shape for about any hand tool I have. The shape of this box is nice. It’s very squared up at the edges, rather than rounded, so I don’t loose too much space from having the edges rounded in.

The box is sturdy enough, but I wouldn’t characterize it as super sturdy. I wouldn’t expect to hold something heavy in it. For example, my boxes of deck screws in different lengths are probably too heavy to stack top to bottom in this.

(Those are also more appropriate for a shallower bin to let me get to what I need quickly. ) I see other reviewers putting books in here, but I think this is just a scootch flimsy for books. Books are heavy.

I also wouldn’t think this is good for kids toy storage like for toddlers, because they will climb on it and jump on it. And, I wouldn’t stack these more than 3 high and expect them to do OK. I wouldn’t buy these for a cross country move.

Nevertheless, assuming I put these on a shelf filled with about anything other than books or large quantities of solid metal hardware, I think they will do fine and basically be a permanent storage solution.

One other thing that is awesome and is very unusual for a plastic storage bin is that these do not allow water in if I pour water on them from on top. I tested by putting the bin out in the yard with the lid on, then pouring cups of water on the top of it.

No water got inside. The lid comes down over the box part of this in such a way that water would have to dip down and run uphill to get inside. Since water can’t run uphill, it doesn’t get in. As long as the bin is level and nothing is hanging out of it or pushing on the lid to bulge the lid out, this should be a good protection against water dripping from above.

Obviously, it’s not watertight if it’s submerged, but most water situations are going to be drips from above. For me, the water piping in the house is in the ceiling and the biggest natural disaster threat is a hurricane taking the roof off, so I love that these could be left out, get rained on, and stay bone dry inside.

That’s a huge consideration for some locations where I know the piping in the ceiling right there, but also I have to use it for storage – like piping running over a small closet. Because of it really truly keeping water out, that’s a totally worthwhile tradeoff for it not being super sturdy.

Also, the very boxy profile and tall size makes these great for sticking under a bathroom vanity or kitchen sink to the sides of the piping. Obviously measure your space first, but the boxy tall shape was great for me, and since it’s tall, my bathroom scale can fit inside.

The Hefty 32 Qt. Clear Storage Bin with Blue HI-RISE Lid was purchased to contain our small 15 lb dog’s belongings during camping trips. It was the perfect size for storing a small bag of dog food, treats, toys, his vest and leash, and his coat.

The storage bin locks tight with the lid going over the locking tabs on each handle which made this a perfect storage bin for placing in the bed of the truck. The locking handle tabs then lock under the handles creating a tight seal that won’t pop off.

When we encountered rain, the items inside the bin stayed dry as rain did not seep inside the bin due to the way the lid is placed on the bin. We liked that the bin was clear on the outside so we could easily find a treat, vest and leash when we were traveling and needed to stop at rest stops for walking breaks.

I love these containers! I have about 10 in the large 72qt size and a few in a smaller size. I like that they are designed to stack together, regardless of different sizes. The only time I’ve had an issue with the handles coming off/getting loose was when I overstuffed them.

I use them mostly for out of season clothing storage and holiday decorations. Having them see-thru is a huge win for both of these purposes. As older, other brand containers in my home break, I will be replacing them with this brand.

We just moved into a new home with 39 years worth of stuff from our old house. These bins are the perfect size for packing stuff that you plan to store, especially because they are sturdy, lightweight, and you can see what’s in them.

My husband is building shelving units and the size of these bins will allow for ten (10) of them to fit on a shelf made from one (1) 4’x8′ sheet of plywood! Awesome!.

I like to use these to store kitchen gear and clothing for seasonal use. I like this size because one person can manage the tote. Bigger totes are awkward to move by one person. These keep the kitchen gear and clothing clean until the next round of holidays.

The plastic feels cheap and the latches misalign if not exactly right on the lid. Very thin plastic so probably not good for repeated use/movement. I’m using them to store sheets and curtains which they seem perfect for, however for heavy decor, frames, and books I still need to store I’m very hesitant to use these.

I bought two of the Greenmade Professional Storage Tote with Handles/Snap Lids last month. They have so much storage space and easy to get into and out of. The layout of the inside makes it so easy to full them to the brim, you might say.

They are so roomy and the price was great for what I received. The nice handles makes them very easy to move from place to place. I think they will last a very long time. I plan to buy 2 more this month.

These are great for packing things to be moved to another home or office. I was happy that I discovered them. I’ve already told one of my friends that is packing to move out of the state.

My husband and I recently started decluttering and reorganizing our spare room. We had a stack of storage cardboard boxes and most were not in the greatest shape. After some extended research, we settled on these.

We have a bit of heavy and fragile valuables so we were nervous on whether these would hold up properly, per their awesome reviews, and to our surprise they worked out perfectly! Now everything looks so much more organized, cleaner and our items are x10 more protected.

We actually have more space now. These bins are very sturdy, spacious (we bought the 27 gallon), and click in/stack easily. Even though theyre sturdy, we stacked everything from heaviest (at the bottom) with the lighter bins ontop.

These were worth the investment and I’m sure theyll last longer than the cardboard boxes or those other flimsy sterlite thin plastic bins we had to toss out. I give this product a perfect 5 star.

Very strong – probably the strongest out there. Stackable several high. I have seen them crack many times but only after significant abuse. Far, far stronger and much less cracking than your average clear plastic tub that most people use.

Pretty watertight and can take 50lbs of weight inside no problem. I don’t think you can beat these for the money. And the great thing is that they are made in Canada. Beware though, I have bought probably 30 of these 102L tubs.

2 of them have been made in USA and there are very slight differences that you wouldn’t notice unless you have them side by side with the ones made in Canada. The US ones have slightly smaller lids and are a slightly different shape.

They also don’t stack nicely with the Canadian ones. This is a real pain. The Canadian lids are slightly bigger so will go on the US ones but are slightly loose. You can’t beat this tub but check that you aren’t getting US made ones as 95% of what Home Depot’s stock has been in Canadian made ones, so you’ll have compatibility issues in the future if you need more at a later date.

I use these containers for storage. THey are excellent, heavy duty, able to stack without busting the lids. They do not have the inside strip like other containers which this makes much more room for the storage items.

I would definitely buy them again and will. I have several of them now and they are all filled to capacity. I love them and the quality for my storage.

These boxes are awesome for the price but! We purchased a bunch of these for a move and for storage after the move. They are well made and super handy to have around. We have bought some on multiple occasions but for whatever reason the last bunch we bought had terrible off gassing.

They are still off gassing when you put the lid on them the smell will make you take a step back. Think Cigars and mop water. It’s mush less now but still strong enough that I wouldnt want to put anything in it for long term that might absorb the smell.

since we have picked up some without this issue they get a 4 star if they all had this issue a 3 star max.

I’m using these to store a bunch of 3D printing filament. The largest size container fits A LOT of filament spools, and is the same size as the most common non-waterproof bins you’ll find at home depot.

I’m also enclosing a high volume desiccant in each one (Eva-Dry Large) in each one to get rid of any moisture that enters when I open the boxes briefly. I’m ordering another today because they’ve served me well so far over 4 months.

They are heavy duty, enough so that I don’t worry about breaking them with daily use, and the gasket seal seems adequate to keep moisture out. I like that they have wide clasps x6 that basically wrap all the way around the lid.

This is the best solution I’ve found in this size and form factor for what I need.

I’ve. had a lot and so happy to find these ones. I am a vendor and use containers often and a lot. They are super sturdy and stack amazingly well, two smaller ones fit on top of the big one. I bought a a few to try them out but I’m coming for more! On top of everything they DO protect from water, once.

the rain started and I vended outside, and whatever was inside the containers, stayed intact. The plastic is really of great quality and doesn’t stink unlike so many others. I thought I was going to have to buy commercial grade bins which are about $60 a piece and not see-through (which is critical for me as I prefer to see not look for a label).

I don’t know what the reviews about these breaking easily are about. I’ve been using these of various sizes for a few months and they have shown no signs of wear at all. You do need to check their condition at the store, like all storage totes, because they do break from mishandling in shipping and by the employees who stock the shelves.

My only complaint is that the sizes are not ideal for documents (8. 5 X 11). They are either too big or too small.

I think I have a bin obsession. I first started buying them on sale to prepare for a move (beats cardboard boxes!) and just kept collecting. I’ve got this purple colour, teal, dark blue and others. When not in use, they stack nicely.

They are perfect for all my storage needs – Christmas decor, cottage stuff, donations, seasonal clothing, shoes, etc. These can be great for a colour coding system – which I haven’t implemented myself but love the idea.

I recommend these to help keep your extra “stuff” or “junk” organized. Super convenient. Try colour coding, too!.

I have used Sterilite bins for years, but I have been very unhappy with the last two sets I have bought. I am a teacher, and I have to box up all of my classroom library for summer cleaning and waxing.

Therefore, I need sturdy storage. The last few totes I have bought have ended up with cracked lids due to just the normal packing and stacking process. The lids also bow and do not stay strong and firmly protect the contents of the bins more times than not.

The bins seem to do okay, but the lids are failing regularly. I wish one could buy replacement lids of a better quality. I would even be willing to pay a bit more to have good lids. Right now, I am questioning whether to continue buying your bins for the household cleanout I have planned during our summer break.

I highly recommended these totes, they are very durable “super thick plastic, NOT the cheap flimsy kind” and the lids are even more durable. I have these totes stacked 5 high in my basement for storing decorations and my husband has 2 of them in garage that he can just grab and put in his truck when he goes camping because they hold ALOT.

I also like that the totes have the handles that slide up onto lid securing it in place and giving it a nice seal. And I have to add that I love the colors because yes, I am a steelers fan!!! These totes are well worth the money, I currently have over a dozen of these and will be buying more for storage!!! They hold alot and they stack nice, not wobbly at all, it saves alot of space in basement and garage! Thank you Sterilite for these totes, my favorite for storage!!!.

These are some of the most durable storage containers I have ever used. I love the latching lids and the way that the handles allow for a sure grip. The fact that they are stackable makes them even more helpful, as we can arrange them any way that works based on the space they are being stored in.

They also are perfect for vacation or travel, as they can hold items safely when a suitcase is not ideal. For example, dry goods or camping gear could easily be kept in these much more neatly than just loosely putting them in the back.

The usage possibilities are really endless with these, and I think they are definitely some thing every household should have! Highly recommend!.
