20 Best Touch Screen Stereos (2022 Updated)

Boss has never let me down. Great sound and great connectivity. Android auto works flawlessly. I haven’t tried the iPhone connection on my other phone yet. The sound is amazing at 85×4 watts. The touchscreen is bright and colorful.

The camera is also great. Wonderful built in EQ.

I have always been looking for a bigger screen for my truck. Came across this unit and the installation was quite smooth. Took me an hour to put in my 2016 Ford. The touch screen itself is really responsive to every commend.

Usually you need to pay >$500 for such quality. But this BOSS unit works like a charm with really budget friendly price.

The unit was installed in a 2006 Ford Econoline even after been told by numerous professional installers that it could not be done. Well, its done. The touch screen works great. The backup camera works great.

The unit was on sale at the time. Good price for a great product.

This is the first time that I purchased a piece of audio equipment that was made by BOSS. The big screen is definitely very nice and it looks very nice in the vehicle. There is a slight delay when switching between different menus, but it is faster than most.

The audio sounds great and the apple car play is fantastic. This radio worked flawlessly for the first three weeks. I am now having an issue with the unit going completely haywire at random times while driving.

Last night I started having the issue of the reverse camera switching on and off without actually being in reverse, a high pitched squealing noise also started coming from the speakers. I’m afraid that this unit is going to be defective and I will be contacting BOSS audio.

And yes, this unit is installed correctly. I worked in the car audio installation department at Bestbuy for six years.

Just got it a few days ago and im absolutely impressed with the quality of the stereo as well as how well the screen resolutions is. For the price of the headunit and all the amazing features you get, like av inputs, front and rear camera compatibility, apple car play, adroid auto, and subwoofer hookups.

Best thing ive purchased, also if your system isnt you to connect to apple car play or android auto because the parking break isnt active, take the parking break wire and connect it to the grounding wire if you dont want to spend the time to run the wire properly or possible dont know the wiring harness of your car well enough and dont want to risk tapping into the wrong wire.

None the less best stereo for the price and function.

Installed in 2003 Ford Excursion. Very pleased thus far (1 month of Bluetooth use so far). Sound is good, my phone calls nor music ever cut out – connects easily and quickly to my phone every time I hop in.

The touchscreen is bright and works well. If I would have known how affordable a new audio / video system was before hand then I would have purchased this when I got my ole Excursion. Also purchased a finish trim and power connection from American International – so $98 total for the system.

Then a $75 install because I am too lazy to do it myself. For $173 total – I couldn’t be happier. Thanks for the solid unit! FYI on comparisons, my local shop that installed it had units I could have bought too.

I am sure they are a little nicer. but they started at $500 (!) and up. I paid $85 for this unit. what a steal.

The reason why I bought this was for the cd/DVD player because the vehicle I installed it in had a double din and someone did a hack job of installing it. I thought for a little over 100 bucks this would have terrible screen qautity I was wrong the screen is great the touch screen is difficult to operate with your finger but they give stylus that fixes that problem id say if you want a DVD player buy it if your building a show car this is not the one for you.

I thought this was a decent purchase several years ago. Now, no response from the touchscreen. I will purchase another Planet Audio radio ever again

Installed in my 2006 GMC Sierra and it fit with some effort to force inside dash wiring harnesses around to make room. But it will go. Also if u have Bose speakers u DO have a Bose amp in ur console.

Instructions mislead here. So be sure and wire accordingly. That wire is identified on ur new harness. Just dont miss that small over sight. I finally tried it and it worked. Great sound with bose. More bass than u even want.

I replaced the stock stereo system in my 2010 Mercury Mariner (which is the same as a Ford Escape and Mazda Tribute), taking the old stereo out is okay but make sure you get the correct wiring harness adapter to use with this.

It runs beautifully, navigation is good and keeps track of the cars movement easily. Sound quality very good I’m using a micro sd card for that but it also takes CD, DVD and USB. The back up camera input works perfectly as long as you wire it up correctly.

Bluetooth for the phone and also for music input again works great with no problem. You can also change the wallpaper on the unit to a photo of your own just put pictures on a usb stick, plug it in, go to pictures and then crop to make it set them to that feature.

remote is very daunting and not user friendly, to be honest I don’t use it. Once you have it set up and paired to your phones the bluetooth will kick in even if the stereo is turned off, tried that out today, very pleased.

Basically everything I need it to do, it does. Steering wheel controls also work with this unit without and extra adapter, I managed to get the volume keys, skip or search for radio keys and the change media all to work which is the main ones really.

I think Best Buy did a good job of installing it, but one thing they didn’t do, was give me the box and owners manual after installation. I had to go back to the store to get it the next day, and they dug it out of the trash.

They should always ask if the purchaser wants it, I had to consult the manual to do some of the set up. I generally like the Planet Audio Radio GPS, it sounds good and I like the GPS. But one thing I do not like about it, is that even though the GPS display does dim when headlights are turned on, the brightness of the display isn’t adjusted by my interior light brightness control and the display of the GPS is too bright at night,.

This fit well in my 05 Colorado. Easy to install. Way better than I thought it would be. Music sounds great. With usb your music is limitless. I hooked up rear camera in my truck. Stereo works well with camera.

Love the remote! Helps control unit while driving.

Not being petty, just being honest. Pros- when off, looks amazing Decent picture in not so bright areas Rear view camera hook up Easy to use interface Bluetooth actually works with all phones but it’s tricky Can upload all contacts from phone to stereo Cons- Avoid trying to watch the screen when it’s bright out, the glare is terrible.

Absolutely no picture DVD sound is extremely low. Overall sound is terrible out this system. It distorts at a low volume and I have Kenwood speakers The system puts out more bass than it can handle clear Speakers lines stop working in different settings after 3 months.

Tricky to get music playing from phone. Sometimes automatic / other times you have to start it from phone. Microphone hook up is terrible. People can not hear you clearly. They say it’s too much static in the microphone Overall, I’ll say avoid unless you can get this for $50 bucks.

If so, buy then resell!.

Install was pretty straight forward with proper wiring harness/interface for the vehicle. GUI is familiar feeling, and easy to use. Screen sensitivity is a little lacking, sometimes takes one or two taps for it to respond, and it can be tricky trying to set the eq.

but hey. for the price. I can’t really complain! Bluetooth works well. my only real vice is the lack of shuffle option when streaming from bluetooth, and it doesn’t display the song title on screen. nor does it display Radio station text from FM stations.

Rear view camera is not the greatest picture quality, but it does the trick. All in all. I would say this is an excellent value priced unit for someone looking to replace a factory double DIN unit, but isn’t too concerned about not having the “best of the best”.

Great little stereo for the money. You can even use the touchscreen with gloves on. A little bit older, but its still nice, especially for the price.

Great radio ,the dvd is a killer nice picture

Overall a great stereo that has modern features such as Android Auto/Car Play. The features included hit every checkbox. Bluetooth calling good, phone hookup good, performance decent. Depending on your vehicle volume is doable but screen buttons not dial.

Resolution is decent but not impressive. If you have steering wheel buttons for stereo it is supposed to work. We didn’t have those in car so can’t say how they work. It is advisable to install usb and aux port on dash so you can plug into back of this stereo, otherwise installer will run usb out of a seam in dash.

Android mirroring does work BUT streaming apps are only visible on phone. Probably a safety restraint, though could be limited to when parked. I dont have a rooted phone so can’t get it to work. The stereo does not have the ability to install apps like netflix that I have seen, so no way to use phone as wifi hotspot for stereo that would solve Android Mirroring limitations.

Still a great stereo that works well hands free and it a major upgrade to the stock AM/FM radio. I would recommend unit.

This stereo is horrible! Perhaps I got a lemon. On car play or Bluetooth mode, the music constantly stops and I have to reach over and push play on the screen over and over. It doesn’t work with my iPhone, it constantly switches between the car speakers, phone, or phone speaker phone randomly making it nearly impossible to make a call.

If my phone rings while driving, my ringtone comes over the speakers at an extremely high volume. All these distractions will get me killed if I don’t get it out of my car! Best Buy took almost $600 from me with free installation for all the added wiring stuff it required.

But because I didn’t go back to them with the problems for over 90 days, they won’t exchange the unit. JVC put me on hold for an hour then tells me to send them the unit for repair. Best Buy doesn’t want to remove and reinstall the unit for free.

Its the new normal I guess! On the upside, my clock has been accurate, not going off time as other reviewers indicated. And it does sound great when it actually works.

The shallow mount is perfect for 2014-2018 Chevy Silverado. With this setup there’s no need to cut anything inside the dash like you normally would to fit a double din. There’s a few minor issues I’ve had with mine.

After only a few months the clock starts displaying random times and won’t keep the corrected time. The touch screen isn’t as sensitive anymore. Usually takes 2 taps for any input (volume, skip song etc).

It does mirror Android well but only shows a black screen with Netflix playing. I had to wire in a switch for my backup camera to come on. Besides those minor issues it’s been great! For the money it’s definitely worth it.

I have been looking for a nice Carplay for a while now and finally chose this one. Glad I did. This unit perfect! It fit like a glove in my car and was very easy to setup to my iPhone 12. Personally, I enjoy that it doesn’t have a bunch of buttons that are hard to figure out while driving.

It also gives the unit a sleeker look compared to my last one which had a huge volume knob. I also like that there is no cd player bc it makes more room for a larger screen. All in all I love my new stereo.

Even better I got it at a solid price!.

My wife wanted a new car, but the best we could do is upgrade the interior. apple carplay was one of her main requirements, because she’s tired of her old stereo system. It’s not a cheap unit but still cheaper than most other ones out there and has everything she needs.

I am surprised at how good it looks and works. She is pretty excited about it.

I bought this head unit because it was a lot of features you were getting for an awesome price. Sound quality and EQ are the best part about this head unit. It connects very fast via Bluetooth and the video quality on the h/u are great quality.

The things that aren’t the best are the phone call quality and connection. When a phone call comes in or is sent out it will connect the call 90% of the time, 10% of the time it will not connect and I will have to re-dial or answer on my phone itself.

After the call ends if I am listening to music through Bluetooth the music takes 2-4min to re-connect and even then I sometimes have to press play on my phone before it starts to play again. Another con is the volume dial is very small and depending on how the dash kit sits it is a pain to get to, I had to purchase a remote on amazon to make it easier.

Also. if you add a backup camera to this unit be prepared to have a 1-2 second pause (blank screen) while it notifies you to “look at your surroundings before backing up”, this only happens if your h/u had just started with the vehicle.

This message and pause do not come up if your h/u has been on for more than 5min. It is a nice h/u but it is frustrating when you need to make a call and it wont connect and your music wont re-connect after you have completed a call.

Some are okay with these issues but it sucks when you are driving and can’t really mess with anything. Hope things work out better for you!.

I have two of these models, one in a 2000 Silverado (New Style-Modification is needed) and one in a 2004 Tahoe. The radio’s output alone @ 22 RMS per channel (4-channels), provides for excellent sound quality.

However, I currently have these bad boy paired with a Kenwood Mono Amp and a Kenwood 4 Channel Amp, which works seamlessly using the Co-Axial outputs on the back of the radio (the red and white cables).

In regards to user interface, this radio is excellent for personalization (Custom Screen Savers, Colors, Sequences), as well as fine tuning sound quality. The EQ is the key to a perfect sound, and this Kenwood Radio makes it easy and efficient dialing in that perfect sound.

It’s also worth noting that this radio has a lot of good sound effect options (Everything from Independent Channel Timing, Realizers, Stage EQ, Vehicle Presets, Gain Sensitivity, Loudness, Bass Boost, Drive EQ, Listening Position Adjustment, High & Low Pass Filter, Speaker Size Selection, Speaker X’Over and a few others useful features.

) In addition, this radio comes ready for a back-up camera (it does not include the camera however), as well as steering wheel control inputs (You will need a vehicle specific adapter). The DVD player E-Brake wire can be simply grounded to any metal on the vehicle, effectively bypassing the useless feature, allowing you and your passengers to enjoy a DVD on the road.

Its does not play Blue-Ray 🙁 You can also buy a wire adapter allowing you to connect and project your phone screen to the radio. (Look up Screen Share on Kenwood Radio, or something like that, Its basically screen share, however touching the radio touchscreen will not control your phone, yet in doing this you can watch YouTube, Netflix, literally anything that your phone or device can play.

) In Conclusion, I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a Clean, Effective, and Proven Touchscreen Radio. If you find yourself having a hard time setting up, there are very informative How Too’s on YouTube for this and many other Radios.

I installed this in my 2003 Xterra about a week a ago and so far am very pleased with it. I am absolutely loving the volume knob. This unit is replacing an ancient Pioneer AVH-P800BH. So far the sound quality even without the EQ and time alignment engaged is much improved.

I am still running the same external 4 channel amplifier. (miss the removable screen from Pioneer though) Kenwood unit is easy to use, and setup. It pairs automatically and reliably to my iPhone 12 after first initial setup.

Bluetooth audio quality is actually acceptable. Cd playback and lossless files played with a richer sound, although I have only used a small 1gb flash drive, so I cannot comment on access times on larger drives.

Seems to image way better than Pioneer even without T/A. Screen is a little dim, but does allow some adjustment in the sub menus. I have found it livable, but I mostly select a playlist and just relax and drive.

If you fiddle with your radio a lot or even use it to look at movies while parked, I could see it being a major pain. Still giving a 5 star, because the sound is just that sweet! Installed in a 07 mustang and it looks great. It was a replacement for another unit just like it.

I’m not happy with this. I’m not getting any output to the speakers

The documentation for this product is misleading. It says it is a universal install to fit different makes and models but what you really need is to buy other things. In my case I needed a wiring harness to make the connections easier and a Mounting kit because this model would not mount properly out of the box.

As a manufacturer you wish the BOSS website would provide you with some of these answers, but they don’t.

I am electronic engineer and know the sound systems very well. This system offers way more than the price you pay for it and is very straightforward to install and use. The design and look of the system is fine and stylish.

It has a built in speaker so does not need an external mic to be wired so this is another plus. It supports all kinds of media including USB and Micro-SD cards as well which is great. They are all accessed thru the front panel and very easily.

Radio is fun to tune and good quality of sound too. In sum it satisfy your appetite for all kinds of entertainment that most of the fancy systems offer. It easily beats most of them, no questions asked.

Supports the rear view camera too if you have the video wiring already done or plan to add during installation. I have to add that its Bluetooth technology is extremely seamless and easy to use. It knows your cellphone in a second and not only for making and answering the phone calls but also for streaming all your musics and Youtube songs too.

Again the Bluetooth of this unit is excellent!!! However with all these features if you count on its GPS system it is less then perfect while you are driving. It seems to be losing its satellite connection time to time and as such it re-routs time to time.

This happens for some ofthe other GPSs too but more frequently on this set. In any event if you can rely on your cellphone GPS for your navigation then for the price that you pay for this system it’s a no brainer to grab it.

I have installed this unit on two Scions and I can tell how pleased are my family with these. They always use their cellphone for GPS so they don’t even care if the GPS is not 100% reliable. Long story short if you have other priorities for your money buy this system and save the extra for your other needs.

I do have a high end Pioneer system as well and while its GPS is more reliable the rest of the entertainment features are at best as good as this one.

I installed this unit in my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500. I have to say that after approx 3 months of use I have had zero issues with it. I also installed a back up camera, works great. Navigation is spot on with very clear voice direction.

It would be nice if we had choices with what type of voice we want, sadly we do not. Display is easy and direct with minimal touch activation. Unit itself has a metal frame that feels sturdy and durable.

CD/DVD player works great and his radio will pull in my favorite radio station approx 80 miles away, my last radio did not do this. I would buy this radio again without second thought.

Not great ! Sound is horrible Features for sound not great Screen has no tilt options I had a Dual that I purchased from oReillys I shouldnt of replace it for this one oh well now Im stuck Wish kenwood and Sony would make a single flip out.

Everything as advertised. Great sound. Lots of options. Easy to use. I use it on my deck. I enclosed in in a marine rated enclosure. Use it mostly with iPhone.

Excellent Seller very fast shipping and exactly what I paid for. Going to purchase another radio with Sirius xm ready from this Seller. I bought another radio on Ebay the same time I purchased this radio and got scammed.

This head unit is absolutely amazing! The EQ on this is insane! It is a game-changer. Had to modify the dash on my 2000 F150 but was so worth it.

fairly easy install (but my car has a lot of dash space behind it). The sound quality is very good. Only drawback is no tuning know so changing channels takes a while.

I have installed many stereos over the years, but this unit has one of the weakest tuners I have ever seen. Perhaps most people buy this unit for the DVD player, blue tooth, usb, etc, but in the end a radio should have a decent tuner.

I installed this unit in a 2005 Toyota Corolla. I intended to replace the factory radio because it’s CD player was having issues. My Toyota has a tuner amp which I wired correctly. In addition, I ran a heavy duty wire from car chassis to the case of the radio, all to no avail.

My connections are all soldered and shrunk wrapped. The factory tuner easily locked in on stations 30 miles away with no cut out or static. The Blaupunkt tuner failed to lock in on even local stations and ones it did receive faded in and out of stereo.

I bought this radio, with very few reviews available and so was blindsided by it’s performance. To summarize, do not buy this radio if you want to receive radio stations off the air.

Real user friendly with “app” type selections like a smart phone. Comes with a remote that works for all functions. The DVD player is vivid and plays quickly along with great audio surround sound. Bluetooth hookup was easy and comes with a mic.

The mic clip is cheap but most usually stuff it in the pillar anyway & wire is a little short. Several rear inputs for sub, video in/out, and f/r rca for amps. Can supply rca support for 3 amplifiers.

Along with rear camera option/support. S/D card and auxiliary inputs in the front along with USB. Radio picks up stations in 50 mile radius and locals were crisp & clear. I would highly recommend this unit for a double din replacement in a base model newer car.

In the $100 range it ranks with those 2-3 times as much. I’m very happy with the function and ease of use. Remote is a bonus & will save wear n tear on the screen. Great deal for the money!!.

This is the second unit, I bought the first unit from another seller on another website. The unit starts up good and sounds great but after a little while at a little over half volume the unit shuts down and restarts.

If you turn the volume down to a third it stays on, but if you have off road tires you can not hear the radio at that volume. The unit I just recieved today and installed does the exact same thing, I did research and could not find anyone who has had this problem.

Will try dealing with Blaupunkt directly the first retailer told me I will have to send it back to them to repair if they can figure out what is wrong with it.

The product is good so far, But my review will focus more on the service and initial ordering of the products for the two cars that I had radios installed in. 2016 Honda HRV install for radio: When we went to order the parts, we were asked lots of questions, about the what radio and camera we wanted and they told us all the extra parts that we would need based on the model/make of the car.

We don’t know anything about radio installs, so we agreed to paying extra for the parts we needed. However, the day of the install, we got a call about all the additional parts that we would need, including a different radio ($300) that would allow the rear camera and side mirror camera to work with the unit.

We also paid extra for a new controller ($$) that would allow the steering wheel controls to work with the radio. Oh and by the way, we don’t have those items, so we will have to reschedule your appointment.

VERY FRUSTRATING! Best Buy should know what parts are needed based off of the car they are installing in. Customers SHOULD NOT have to get a call and pay extra for items that Best Buy did not think about when pricing the install.

So far on this car, the radio seems to work fine. 2012 Honda Civic radio and back-up camera install: This car install was pretty much the same. With increased cost on parts that they did not originally quote us on.

The other disappointing thing about this install, is that the tech installed the usb connector in the glove box instead of where the original usb connector is in the middle console. UGH!! In addition, the rear camera has a feature that has lines that show up that aid in parking the vehicle.

However, the feature was turned off, because they said that it’s too hard to get the camera lined up to get it to work. Why would you sell/install a product that you can’t install correctly??? Lastly, we noticed that a microphone was installed on the steering wheel console for the phone??? Why was that not placed near the rear view mirror where it cannot be broken or where it would be less intrusive? BTW the mic for the HRV was placed in the right location.

In short, very disappointed in the install.

I had a tape deck. I had a smart phone without an earphone jack. I have no tapes. (“Abba’s greatest hits”- which was under the back seat for 17+ years didn’t count) I had no access from my phone to tape deck.

I could see highways on my phone, but not on the tape deck. My wife’s car stereo does everything I wanted my car to do. Bluetooth envy is a hard thing in the 21st century. I chose this model because it could do what I wanted, but not come with a car payment.

Back in the day, Kenwood, JVC, Alpine, etc. , were at the top of the pile. Supply chain issues (I was told) meant the installer had to try 3 different units before finding one that would fire up. Anyway, it makes the dash of my Pontiac Montana look like there is something not quite right, but.

Trying to compete with the new tech in new cars is hard, and this is a good attempt.

I wish I had left the stock radio in. This unit has been a big disappointment so far. Right off the bat the steering wheel controls would only work intermittently, then not at all. This, after spending $100 for the gadget that would ensure the steering controls would work.

Brought it back and the tech “reset” something then all was fine. sort of. Android Auto is unusable as it freezes the head unit either after connecting for a minute or maybe after 30 minutes. The only way to fix it is to park, turn off the car then turn it back on.

A total pain and there is no fix in site from Google. Different usb cables have been tried, caches emptied and updates performed. AA is unusable in its present condition most days (some days it works great).

I pretty much wasted hundreds of dollars for something that only works sometimes. Not BB’s or Kenwood’s fault, I think this is totally on Google putting out a garbage app. The internet is full of this same problem from lots of other users.

I should have just left well enough alone. As for the unit itself, it’s complicated to use, some icons overlap each other and the touchscreen buttons on the left side are small and impossible to read.

Positives: has great sound, all the bells and whistles to get the exact sound you want with the car you have Negatives: has many technical issues. Out of the box, you’ll notice the clock is a real problem.

Setting it up was a pain, and after that it runs about a minute fast every 5 days. You’ll constantly be resetting it until you do a firmware update. The settings and Android auto are also not easy to navigate.

It will take weeks to fully master the radio. After owning it for about 9 months, the top lines of the receiver stopped responding on the screen. After a factory reset, if the screen doesn’t turn to normal, the unit becomes unusable as you’ll need to tap the finish button at the top to continue using it.

Customer service is not hard to get ahold of, but their solution is only that, and you’ll need to ship your unit to a service center.

After much searching for an affordable reputable brand stereo, I settled on this one. I had a few important traits I was looking for. It needed the ability to play CDs, be Bluetooth enabled, and to be able to connect to my phone to display GPS on the screen.

Android Auto was the promised solution for this. But from the get-go it was flaky. While it will do Bluetooth to my phone for playing music and audio apps you have to plug into the USB port for GPS. After connecting to Android Auto after a couple of minutes it would crash and you’d have to start all over again.

By this time you’re now driving down the road and have to try to get it going again while moving which was presenting an even worse scenario than just using my phone only for GPS from the beginning. I don’t know why Android Auto keeps crashing? Another minor frustration is it takes about 10-15 seconds to boot up which seems like a long time when you want to set music or book app up before you start driving.

Hate the radio, have appointment to have it uninstalled and will return then. Too many buttons and bells for me and my husband, couldn’t figure out how to use it. Wanted it for the navigation, and it wouldn’t let me program and/or use it when my husband was driving.

Error message about operating it while driving. That was frustrating. Other issue was error message about “no device” when we would hook my phone up with the connection cord that was installed with the radio.

Would work sometimes with my husbands phone, and sometimes not. Wouldn’t work with my phone. This was all a frustrating frustration! Most electronics are self explanatory, and user friendly, this radio isn’t.

Also frustrating that it is impossible to reach anyone at the Best Buy store by phone. They never answer, you are on hold for as long as you want to wait it out. They never answer though, never.

I like this thing. It’s built solid and it sounds. The only thing I can complain about is them not having a micro sd slot or another usb port. I like running a microsd or a usb with all my music on it.

The file system is easy to navigate, blue tooth works great as well. It rembers me and connects automatically when I start the car. I tried a atoto unit and the screen on this unit is way better and you can actually dim it alot which is the main reason I bought this.

Liking this thing so far. Duel if you read these add another use snd a micro usb port!.

At first this seemed like a great deal, but a little experience proved that not to be the case. First off, the first unit would not allow the bottom of the touch screen to respond. I had to return the unit for replacement.

Also, the unit will only access about 1300 of the 2100 songs on my usb drive which is, given the capacity of modern thumb drives, exceedingly limiting. I would note that this limitation is not mentioned in Best Buy’s listing of the product.

It’s only in the fine print of the fuil-sized owner’s manual.

Not sure who this radio is for. It lacks a lot of features when it comes to adjusting sound and the output for the subwoofer is weak. Having to have your phone hooked up to it to use Alexa is also bothersome.

Why didn’t they just add Apple carplay or Android audio if you need to have your phone hooked up anyway? Not a good radio at all. Would recommend getting a higher priced Pioneer or a different brand.

What a joke, 4 months SiriusXM. What they dont say up front is you have to buy a portable receiver for SiriusXM then you have a bill for a stereo that is not satellite ready. Then a bill for the portable unit.

To mirror your phone is a waste of time also. Overall the Pioneer DMH-241EX aint worth the box it came in.

I’m older so I’ve had many radio over the years. This is by far the most frustrating one yet. It’s almost to complicated. The basic functionality is easy to use and it looks good. The major flaw is in the sound settings.

They have so many settings it makes for an extremely long setup. I’ve tried so many options and can’t seem to get good quality. I can’t find the bass that I had just a month ago and I hate it. If you like to play at compositions maybe this is for you.

If you want something easy that sounds good, save yourself from this!.

We really like the JVC CD player. It works as expected with no surprises. The display is clear and easy to use. My wife likes the attached backup camera too, but confesses she is still getting used to not having to look back when going backward.

To put the cherry on top, the Best Buy installers did a quick and fantastic job! We went to Best Buy thinking we’d just get a CD player. They suggested we could get a backup camera for just a bit more.

We did and could not be happier.

Junk. cannot connect to bluetooth whatsoever. Tried different devices. nothing. Touch the screen (change radio station, change song, etc. ) pretty much massive delay. Definitely not immediate response.

The screen is so dim. this was a huge mistake. Unfortunately cannot return due to being over the 30 day return policy.

Good unit with lots of high-end features. Only complaint is not having multi-level dimmer. Its extremely too bright for my taste even when dimmer is set to night time. Makes driving at night uncomfortably for my eyes with the glare.

Otherwise I like it. Would prefer the Kenwood DMX957XR but couldnt find it anywhere. Overall Im not disappointed with this head unit but I will replace it when Kenwood is available.

This is an easy recall. why hasn’t it been done? 1year and a few months in the internal sd card goes to hell, you can’t get another one unless you contact Russia. just google ” my internal sd card crashed” you’ll see how they fold after 1 year.

The AVH W 4500nex takes a dive and for the money 900 is no way anyone should be forking out money for a new deck. I’ll never go back to pioneers unless they make this one right. So, you know I’ll be with Sony or alpine in dash this time next week because pioneer won’t admit to some guilt.

President George Bush said fool me once shame on you. fool me twice shame on me. It means you can’t fool me twice, smh, you won’t get another thousand dollars out of me pioneer, just took my stimulus money and did me like a 2 Dolla garden tool but without the towel an no Vaseline!!!.

The head unit itself is very feature rich and really transforms a car to take advantage of modern software developments. Be advised though that depending on your car, the install can potentially be very difficult and/or expensive if you hire someone to do it for you.

For each feature, you need to make sure you have the corresponding hardware installed so that the functionality is available for the headunit to take advantage of. Also SWC retention may be problematic depending on your car.

Some functionality may be lost and you will have to use the buttons/touchscreen on the unit itself. However, this particular unit is very laggy and is not normal. I installed another unit and there were no issues.

The screen is blacking out and very laggy between inputs. I am a software engineer by profession and it looks to me like the hardware may be faulty, which is probably why it was resold without any of the package contents.

Someone else installed at and realized that it was defective so boxed it up and tried to re-sell it. Since it is already installed in my car, I cant return it sadly.
