20 Best Touch Sensitive Keyboard (2022 Updated)

I love this keyboard. I was afraid I wouldn’t like the sound since I play on a piano. However for space accommodation moving ability and convenience this keyboard is perfect for leisure play. I would definitely recommend this company.

As it states in the title my keyboard was here in a matter of 2 to 3 days of purchase. It was the surprise I needed that day.

It was a good piano at first, but then one day it just stopped working after two weeks , It just wouldn’t make sound and all the buttons stopped working. Honestly, A toy piano would last longer than this.

Worst piano I have ever bought.

Daughter loves it. It was a birthday gift. Very nice keyboard and the stand and chair were so easy to setup. This was great. Thanks.

Lightweight. Battery powered. 61 keys. Zero pro-level features. If you can actually play the thing, it will provide a several dozen very nice, very recordable sounds. It’s not a Korg or Roland Workstation, but that being said, for what it costs it delivers with both hands.

(And if you have one of those, you don’t need this. ) You won’t ever have to wonder if this thing was worth the pittance you paid for it. I personally love the form factor and the ease of use. Pick it up, play it anywhere.

The sounds? Well, I’ve recorded with them. And they sound just fine. I don’t need: the how to play material, the dance beat generator (although it’s cool, some will love this), or most of the preset rhythms.

(I am looking at using them in a creative way as a challenge to be met later. ) I really wish this had a sequencer and a bit more control over the sounds. If Casio made a Casiotone Pro with the same sounds, but dumped the beginner features and gave us some control over the parameters and a sequencer, I’d be first in line to buy it.

The Casiotone brand brings some expectations to the table, and this unit does not dissapoint. The organ sounds and the Mellotron-ish presets alone make this a keeper for the price. If you approach it within its considerable limitations, it will serve you well.

I’m giving five stars because of the price to value ratio, which is just ridiculously high.

This is perfect for my son and myself, as we are both beginners. I do feel like the keys don’t play very loudly sometimes, but that could be something to do with the settings. I thought the keys were weighted, but they don’t appear to be.

We’ve had fun with the 300+ voices and styles available.

I absolutely love my new digital piano! Thank you so much for such a great product. I have wanted to learn how to play the piano my whole life and now at 45 years old, I am finally able to. So easy to use.

We got this and spent a lot of time putting it together to find out that the last 20 some keys didn’t make any sound at all! After googling, it seemed like many people had the same problem. It was a pain to take it all apart and shove it back in the box and send it back (super heavy).

It was back ordered but we got a new one and all the keys worked (we plugged it in and tested it before setting it all up again. All the keys work but one sticks up higher than all the others. not going through the return process again for that! It’s cheap but has a pretty good sound for what we paid!.

I bought this for myself as a songwriting tool, it worked so well I got another one for the kids. All of us like the different presets and generic music that you can jam with on it. I like the feel of the keys just the right amount of resistance.

I would get another one if I ever drop this out of the car or something by mistake.

I bought this little Yamaha for a friend who needs an easy-to-use portable keyboard, and his little son will be able to get good use from it in the not-too-far-off future when his little hands get big enough for full-sized keys.

Excellent sound!. and almost TOO many features. Cool extra sound-banks too (dog’s barks, car starting, great drum sets). Highly recommend it. It is VERY light but seems sturdy. Comes with a power supply and music stand.

If you buy one, consider a gig bag for it.

I love these sounds. very impressive for the price. I also love the way the sustain function gives the sounds a longer sustain but does not cause wind instruments to ring out forever. This makes the sounds a whole lot more useful in recording.

And ya I would record with this stuff and even run it through my Helix effects processor. The guitar feedback and harmonic patches are really cool. nice organ style key action.

I bought this piano as a present for my daughter. I chose this one because she told me that she wanted an electric piano that had the feel of a real piano. We are both learning on it. Although it does not have as many bells and whistles as some of the others in this price range; it is sturdy, you can tell is of quality construction, and it sounds and feels like a real piano.

I’m glad to purchase this piano because I need a starter piano to play and learn the piano. I’m not loooking for a fancy or a thousands of FX instruments. I need to learn before I decide to upgrade to another keyboard and the price is reasonable.

I highly recommend for begginers or people who are conscious on the budget.

As a die hard Yamaha fan, for many years, I never thought that I would purchase a Casio keyboard. For the price and size, the Casiotone CTS 500 is a great portable tool. Did I mention that it only weighs 10 pounds? The keybed and sounds (piano, EP, and organ) are better than many keyboards costing hundreds of dollars more.

Perhaps the most surprising thing, is the amount of control you have over shaping the sound itself. The digital effects are solid and having built in speakers is a huge plus for playing in the backyard or anywhere.

I think most people will be drawn to the CTS1000V for the vocal synthesis function. That’s fun (although I’ve had issues setting up the Lyric Creator app that’s needed to input your own lyrics) but I think this keyboard is also a great source of general workaday sounds too.

Great pianos, electric pianos and organs, plus some very useable synth leads, pads and basses and a lot of interesting orchestral and ethnic instruments. The keyboard isn’t weighted but feels pretty solid and good to play and the speaker system has a lot of volume and punch, without getting distorted.

If you want a keyboard to have around the house for sketching ideas, or an auto accompaniment keyboard for the family to play around with, this is ideal.

I bought this for a birthday gift for my wife. Punch line: she loves it and impressed me greatly by playing Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto straight away even though it’s about twenty years since she last played on a piano.

Now the bad news. I (with hindsight, foolishly) ordered to keyboard to be delivered rather than going to the store in person – I only live half an hour’s walk away. StarTrack’s delivery service was appalling.

I ordered it on April 28th, Express delivery, so it would arrive for her birthday on 12th May. Apparently a delivery was attempted on the 2nd May but no card was put through our mail box and I wasn’t notified by SMS or anything so, I had no idea.

A few days later, when I enquired what was going on, Mannys told me another delivery request would be made and it was now urgent. The week of her birthday came, and still no delivery. I got into a panic and decided, look, can I just come and pick this up from the depot? To cut a long and tedious story short, more miscommunications meant that the pressie did not arrive on time and five days later I had to drive 35 minutes to StarTrack’s vast depot by Perth airport to pick it up – which I did only thanks to one friendly guy who went out of his way to help.

The bad news doesn’t quite end there. In the video promoting the keyboard on Mannys web site I am sure it states that a variable height stand is included. But, of course, it wasn’t. Lesson to learn: Always pick up from the store, or make sure the delivery service will drop off at the post office if you’re not there to collect.

I had CDP-130(two and a half year ago for 1 year) then I traded it for PX-360. Since then I have tried a few other keyboards as a second instrument (Yamaha MX61, MOXF8 and Roland FA 08). At the present time I have PX-360 and Roland FA-08.

Let’s say so, I use them 50/50. Sound – quality of grand piano PX-360 is better then Yamaha (YDPs, DGXs) or Roland (with Super Natural engine). Quality of other sounds (Strings, Guitar, etc. ) – PX has very solid standard.

FA for instance has much larger library of sounds but I can give PX slight advantage in this category due to higher quality of sound of grand piano (which is the most important sound for me). MIDI controller – PX provides very basic access to MIDI parameters.

For instance FA by far more open and advanced system. FA is used as MIDI controller for software and for PX as well. FA allows me also to control some hidden within PX MIDI parameters. Action/feel of keys – FA gives more(easier) control of dynamics than PX.

On FA a keyboard provides a low level of a mechanical noise. PX keyboard mechanically is a noisy instrument. Price PX costs ~twice lower than FA. However they sit side by side in my home studio. Summary – I play on FA due to higher keyboard quality and very powerful a MIDI controller ability.

PX is used as a sound bank every time I need the grand piano sound (which is way over 90% of all time). three stars – Gained for Grand Piano sound. two stars lost – due to ignorance of a need to be a true home instrument with much quieter mechanics.

This is really a great digital piano from Casio. With a great innovation of the touch screen, control of the sound is only a touch away. Casio has put a lot of work into make this sound like a genuine real grand piano.

With Casio’s Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action II this keyboard is able to feel almost identical to a real piano. With its realistic Ivory texture you won’t be able to tell its not the real thing. They have put very much effort into modeling the sound of this instrument to sound like a real piano.

With damper resonance to recreate the sound of the strings resonating against the damper pedal, and string resonance that accurately models the harmonics between strings to acoustically sound like a real piano.

If you are looking for the great sound of a grand piano and the mobility of a keyboard the Casio Privia PX-360 will surely not disappoint. This is a real hands on product review from Nabil at Sam Ash in Lyndhurst, OH.

The reason I got this keyboard is because the damper pedal does not hold the notes out forever but instead lets them ring out and than fade away on there own. This totally changes the way Strings and Choirs work.

It makes the sounds much more useful. It is like this for all the first 260 sounds than for the next 300 XGlite sounds the damper pedal holds the notes out forever. There are also allot of fun percussion sounds from around the world.

I think this keyboard is a real step up for the price. I love these new innovations. for less than 300 this thing is an incredible instrument. Thanks for the incredible keyboard. The articulation button is a great Idea but the vibrato that is used on most everything sounds to intense to be usable most of the time.

It would be better if it did something different on every sound and you could control it with a foot pedal but that is probably a great Idea for a more expensive keyboard. It would be great if you could have two damper pedals one for a fading damper and the another for holding the sound out continually.

I would love to be able to use this fading damper in mixing sounds on the MODX. That would be so musical.

I am a adult looking to get into and be serious with my study & playing. I needed value as this purchase would have to last quite a while. I researched reviews & YouTube for the best options. I soon realized that the Yamaha PSR Series would be my best option.

I decided to go with the 76 key version vs the 61 key option. To get the added 15 keys for around $70 made the most sense for me as this will be a long term instrument for me. I also purchased a sustain pedal, stand, and key stickers.

I look forward to working with the learning suite and playing my favorite songs through the interface. I purchased SimplyPiano and the keyboard integrates seamlessly via the type”b” (printer cable). The keyboard has more voices & sounds than I will ever get to but they sure add value to the purchase.

It sounds beautiful in demo, my playing is another story but that is what the PRS-EW310 is designed for; The learning musician to get great value.

Despite years of performing with synthesizers, I decided it was long past time to focus on piano lessons. I spent nearly a month researching digital pianos from $500 to $1500. I watched many videos here and on YouTube, and did my best to compare the key actions of the usual suspects in this category.

To me, the Casio PX-S1000 and PX-S3000 were the clear winners. I decided that the extra features of the 3000 were worth the little extra. The keys feel wonderful, and the combination of tone quality and speakers on the 3000, especially with the special sound mode engaged, is exquisite.

Acoustic and electric piano tones sound like a keyboard of twice the price, and the extra non-piano tones alone were worth the extra price. The synthesizer sounds are just fantastic. DSP effects are top quality, and easily accessible through the brilliant but unobtrusive PX interface.

The rhythms of the accompaniment feature are very convincing, though the accompaniment melodies are not as strong as the rest of the features. I also wish the 3000 had been available in white or red like the 1000.

In all, I just couldn’t find a better bang for the buck than the PX-S3000, and it left enough funds to get the stand, SP-34 pedal, and an inexpensive subwoofer that really lets the 3000 fill the room.

Also recommended: an expression pedal and an additional footswitch, because the 3000 can really take advantage of them. Finally, take into consideration the extra value of the free Chordana Piano app that, with the 3000, makes the $850 Privia feel like a $2000 keyboard.

I purchased this instrument for two reasons: I wanted a full 88 keyboard graded hammer action. The sounds onboard and the reverb effect onboard the piano are really cool touches. You get a few pianos, strings, harpsichord, etc.

Keyboard speaker is good for practice or playing for family. It has audio outs for traditional speakers. secondly, My main purpose was to plug this into FL Studioo and play Addictive Keys stage grand, the uvi digital keysuite, the korg m1 vst.

If you need great keys with realistic action, this is a good entry point. I had it set up with my VST instruments, and the expression from this Alexis prestige through my DAW was realistic. The sustain pedal might take some elbow grease.

in had to manually assign it to midi channel 64 with XLN addictive keys and the uvi keysuite. But once you do that the sustain works great. All in all, the digital piano would be worth it if you want to practice traditional piano.

however, being able to use these wonderful keys through a DAW makes this an essential purchase for me.

This is an amazing product. After traveling around to different music stores and sampling the different models in this price point, I settled on the Recital Grand. The sound quality is fantastic. The play and feel quality is pro.

When using the layer mode, and using the feature that turns the volume down for the layered mode,the sound quality through the 10 built in speakers is angelic. Enjoy your instrument. Enjoy playing again.

Got this for my daughters and they play it everyday! All of the sounds are AMAZINGLY good quality! Went with Yamaha because of the quality but couldn’t believe how high the quality is at this price!! In two short months, the girls went from zero to playing Moon Light Sanada!! You can clearly attribute that to the sound quality! They rarely touched the other keyboard we had and this one they fight over who get to play it each day! Best purchase I ever made! Bar None!.

I love the sound of this keyboard compared to my old Casio. I bought this for my daughter and just tested it before giving it to her as a gift. Firstly, it is touch responsive which to me is a must. The instrument sounds especially the piano are outstanding.

I like the rhythms too. This meets all my expectations to what I want for a beginner’s keyboard and more. I got the bundle with the stand, headphones and adapter. Overall the price is very reasonable and it beats all the other places I’ve looked at.

It makes me want to upgrade from my old keyboard, too. When that happens I will strongly consider getting it from this company again.

I knew when I purchased this keyboard that it wasn’t going to be amazing, however, I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoy playing it. The sound is definitely not high quality, but for a practice piano, its not too bad.

I love how portable this is and that it can hold a charge so if you need to play when there isn’t a power outlet, you are all set if you have it charged. Keys are decent responsiveness. I wouldn’t use this as a performing keyboard by any means, but if you are looking for a lower budget practice keyboard, I do recommend this one! I love how small it is when folded up and can easily be stored.

I use it to practice at work on my lunch break and keep it stored under my desk in my office. Overall, I’m very happy with it. I didn’t give it 5 stars just because the sound quality could really be improved, but for the price and purposes I need it for, I can live with it.

Best investment I ever made. Better than the router extender combo I was using. Fast. Efficient. Dont drop or watch a wheel spin when watching videos, streaming on TV. It is fast pulling in the internet.

It is awesome. I wish I had heard of such a system before I wasted my money on a router and extender. I am not a tech person. We were having internet problems an someone mentioned a whole house mesh system.

I’m a relative beginner (playing about a year properly now). I already have a decent 88 weighted keys keyboard for my general practice. But I love messing around with different sounds and making fun little songs.

This is a great keyboard for that, heaps of sounds and rhythms (e. g. drum beats) to play with. You can record you’re own music to 5 slots. There is also a split function so you can play 1 instrument on the left and one on the right (e.

g. playing bass guitar on the left hand and keys on the right) – heaps of fun! Basically it’s great value for all of this – and great for fun messing around. For me as a begginer its a perfect entry level mess about before I one day choose a more costly workstation.

The only cons being that it’s semi-velocity keys and you can’t over dub on your recorded tracks (at least I’m yet to figure it out!). But realistically it gives you heaps for the cheap price. Would recommend!.

Trying to update my older keyboard I found several keyboards that fit my budget, size, and style. However, when I found out about the some of the features of the CASIO CT-X700 I realized that it would be my best choice! Yes, it has lots of tones, and rhythms as do others.

But the main reason for buying it is that it has touch response (touch sensitive) keys, like a real piano. I would say that this is the main reason for taking a close look at this keyboard. It also has lots of stuff which is going to take me while to figure out and use (midi, split keyboard).

Essentially, it is now our family piano. With 61 full-size keys, it’s great for my children. Works with included power supply and even with batteries. Recommended!.

I hadn’t played the keyboard in almost 20 years and wanted to start playing again. This is a great Casio model for home enjoyment. So much better than the old Casio keyboard I had in the late 80s! Very easy to figure all the bells and whistles out and the piano/organ sounds are fantastic.

There are background rhythms for every imaginable genre of music that are fun to experiment with. The stand was very easy to put together and it has been very stable. I’m still very rusty but I am thoroughly enjoying re-training myself on this instrument.

I bought this for my 11 year old grandson who was learning to play guitar and decided that he wanted to learn to play the keyboards as well. I got this thinking that I was getting something that was technically sound with a variety of voice choices and this was accomplished with the Casio CT-X3000.

One thing I didn’t know was how little use the manual was that comes with the unit. It is hard to navigate and hard to understand but that was for me. It made no difference in my case because my grandson figured out how to use the keys in about 5 days of just going through it.

He called me and said he loved it and was already working on his nwn songs. So the manual turned out to just be a reference to him and not an instruction set. Kids today have even long time musicians like me beat on the technology stuff.

He has had it about a month now and loves it. I am happy he loves it and will set him up for lessons when he returns to school in the fall. As for AMS, they were great and delivered the unit within 5 days of my order with the accessories I bought.

I will continue to recommend AMS for anyone who asks about where to get musical supplies and equipment. I have bought 5 guitars and an amp from them as well so they have won my loyalty.

I love my new keyboard! I’ve owned an electric organ for many years, but this keyboard has so many more features and great sound. You can’t beat it in this price range. I am showing a picture of my new keyboard with a stand and bench I bought separately.

I also bought a sustain pedal although it does come with a sustain feature you can use. I just feel more comfortable being used to using a pedal. It has inputs for another pedal, headphones, speakers, and so many rhythms and tones you can choose from! Brass is one of my favorites, with a few different saxophone choices.

Did a lot of research on advanced beginner keyboards. Chose the Casio 3000 because of recording capabilities and ability to customize and save tones. Acoustic piano tones are acceptable, electric piano and organ tones very good.

Excellent service as usual from GC New Orleans store. Arrived in 4 days, well padded and looked clean. Hooked it up and immediately heard one of the speakers crackling from 1 key. After 3 days of light use most of the middle keys were crackling.

Packed it up this morning and returned to store. Did not have a replacement in stock, they recommended I try Yamaha PSRE-463 and offered a modest discount for the hassle, so I’m giving it a swing to see if it flys.

Probably would not recommend the Casio 3000 because of out-of the-box problem and maybe poor manufacturing. Thanks again to the crew at GC New Orleans!.

This is a great beginner keyboard I would say for anyone, the action is nice and light. It isn’t weighted of course, but for under £300 you would be hard pushed to find a set of keys that were. I love how this unit is a no frills setup, there aren’t any distracting “arranger” keyboard features, it’s all purely about high-quality voices and the keys themselves.

The speakers are also pretty good too which surprised me because I thought they might be tinny. You also have the option of putting the keyboard in to a set of speakers using a 1/4″ jack, so that’s always nice if you didn’t want to use the onboard speaker system.

The USB MIDI port also lets you use this keyboard as a MIDI controller with your DAW which is nice and definitely a must have in these times. The metronome can be set to different beat divisions and the volume can be adjusted as well.

There’s a lot of different functions explained in the manual, so this is well worth reading over a few times. Things are explained a little confusingly, so you will want to maybe read the page you’re on a couple of times to understand the changes you can make to a function.

The keys feel really nice under your fingers and the voices are great. That was my only main two prerequisites before making my purchase and I’m happy on both fronts! If you don’t need crazy features and lots of different voices or band backing rhythms etc, then I would 100% suggest this keyboard as it has everything you would need to get playing and it’s also super cheap :).

I am just learning piano which is now in my later years. This piano meets all my needs for a beginner. It sounds good, it’s light and portable and seems to be well constructed. No frills and not a lot of bells and whistles to distract me from what it am using it for, to learn how to play.

Sound quality is good and it has a headphone jack for quiet playing. I would recommend this piano to anyone that is just starting out or probably even a more experienced player. Great job Yamaha!.

Overall: Purchased this keyboard to add “better quality” acoustic sounds to my live performance rig. While many of the sounds are slightly better than my PX-560, overall the gain was not worth the purchase.

If your a pianist, you will not be happy with this action. It appears to be “spring loaded” and feels cheap. Expressive play is therefore limited. Perhaps, this will not be the case with others, but I am totally unhappy with the action!Polyphony is a measly 64 notes! Since, I bought it for just occasional switch over to acoustic instruments (think instrumentals) that did not seem a big factor.

However, I feel if you are possible looking at this unit as a solo instrument- you better think again!The speakers are very good, but unless you live where they can be used, you will probably be using phones to practice OR connecting to your mixer and the PA system when playing out.

The speakers project upwards,or towards you if the unit is stacked. Sooo, using the speakers when doing a live performance (except in small venues) is out of the question. The “menu based” access to the sounds, is quite a step down from my PX-560 touchscreen- A BIG STEP DOWN! Quick changes during a live gig is not going to happen! I would not even consider taking this instrument out on a live performance.

I’m a solo act, and this instrument does not allow for smooth quick access to the sounds or mods to the effects etc. For “at home”, usage it’s fine for probably most people. But if you gig, it will present a lot of problems, it’s not live performance friendly.

There are many other “little” things I could cover, ie the volume control requires it to be set at 2:00 to match the PX-560, which is quite loud at 11:00. With no string resonance the piano’s sound “tinny” to me.

An additional octave in the bass would make it more “playable” to a pianist. Your technique has to change while playing this instrument, and I find that a negative. Summing up, if you’re a gigging musician, and a solo act, this is not the instrument for you.

If your looking to try out an arranger keyboard, perhaps this will fit the bill.

I bought this after listening to sound samples and watching reviews on youtube. The sound quality is surely unmatched in this price range. The grand piano sounds, the synths, keyboards, and especially the Rhodes and organ sounds, and all the others, are excellent.

This keyboard is a good choice if you: Are learning the keyboard, and want a good quality sound at a budget price point Are an experienced musician looking to get a cheap practice or portable keyboard If you are very tight on space and want something that looks excellent, performs excellent, and is able to do MIDI interfacing on DAWs and notation apps.

The only con I have is that some of the features on this keyboard are a little tedious to access or enable, namely programming the metronome and setting intonation and reverb effects. However, I have to say I don’t really care.

The fact that you can set this thing to play in Just temperament and choose the tonic far surpasses anything anywhere near this price point. If you’re looking for an arranger keyboard or something that can accompany you, this is not your keyboard.

The Yamaha PSRs have more features, but they feel much more like toys to me. This is more of a legitimate musical instrument. Oh, and the design is outstanding. This keyboard is gorgeous to look at, truly a masterpiece.

I used cts1 for less than 4 weeks ,I return it because the middle c key make a strange noise ,! I play they keyboard less than few hours What a poor build quality The sounds quality are good ,the numbers of tone very limiting (61 tones ) The interface is very easy if you play only solo nothing more ,the functions like transponse ,change Octive ,layer tons need to press multiple keys ,in my opinion it’s useless because it take too much time to change simple function I am very disappointed with Casio cts1.

It is just an incredible board. I will gig with this board. I will record with this board. I couldn’t be happier with the product.

The piano is very beautiful, and I chose the white. I give it 5 stars for all features except its a bit short and the white bench is a slightly different color than the piano. Wouldnt recommend for taller people with long legs but it was easy to put together, and the box wasnt too huge either.

Weighted keys are wonderful.

I chose it in Walnut, and the piano is beautiful, the piano sounds really good and has a lot of different sounds options all very realistic. The piano sample are really great. The pedal are like a real acoustic piano and the weighted keyboard is very nice to use.

I would have like speaker a tiny bit more powerful but that’s enough to fill a good room and you can still add a speaker. You can also plug headphone and have great sound. overall it’s a great piano for the price.

Don’t hesitate.

Nice key action and beautiful piano sounds with a decent amount of configuration possible and lots of additional features. Enough to keep beginners and intermediates very satisfied. Sure, it’s not perfect but for the price it’s highly competitive.
