20 Best Towels For Dogs (2022 Updated)

Not impressed with this towel. My dog has medium hair, so maybe the long loops aren’t as helpful as they would be for shaggier dogs, but it doesn’t dry any better than a regular towel for him. Also, air dry for something dense with all these loops? It smells gross after letting it air dry after a bath, no different than your used bath towel bunched up on the floor.

And having to air dry it after washing it is ridiculous, takes forever since it’s designed to hold water. Same reason is why I couldn’t effectively use this after him coming in from the rain (I tried and it just made it smell like old gym shoes by morning).

Even leaving it outside to dry wasn’t great, since it’s also double layered due to the mitt pockets. I will be machine drying this and if it gets ruined, no harm done since I don’t really care for it anyways.

I’m giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because it does seem durable and it does absorb water.

I was skeptical about this product at first but when my black lab decided to play in the rain, plus the mud the next day it was incredible. She loved the feel of the individual nubs on her skin and she waited until I was finished cleaning her up before she left to play with her brother.

My lab doesn’t like to wait, she’s a puppy and is all over the place. LOLOLOL This shammy absorbed all the water and mud from her hair and it cleaned up easily. I love it and will highly recommend anyone with pets to order this, today!.

This is a great microfiber towel to have for your dogs. It has a cute embroidered paw print on one side of it. This is big enough to dry my 100lb boxer and my 2 chihuahua’s. My chi’s like to stay wrapped up inside this towel until they have warmed up.

They are completely dry when they decide to move around. It’s also a thick microfiber towel. Its not thin like most microfiber towels are. If you want seperate towels for your pets, I highly recommend these.

For clarity, this towel was originally marked at $20, I paid $8. Maybe this is a “get what you pay for”situation. I bought one for my Frenchie and while technically it was absorbent, it wasn’t nearly enough for my 30lb baby.

It was soaked almost immediately. With dog hair being so porous, I’m confused why this has so many star reviews. Even if your dog was only 5lbs, I can’t see you only using one to get them dry. I had use 2 more towels and a blow dryer to get my pup dry.

These are THIN and not very absorbent. They do a halfway decent job wiping a light drizzle off my pitbull mix’s short, thin coat of fur. However, if it’s been raining, or there’s any actual dirt or mud to wipe off, my 7 year old Soggy Doggy brand towel words far better than this NEW Bone Dry one.

Save your money. This is the first and last time I’ll buy Bone Dry brand, or anything without reviews on Chewy, for that matter.

Well I wasn’t sure if it would be better than a regular towel. Boy am I glad I decided to order them. Works soooo much better. And our 2 white Boxers love them. We have to bath them regularly. they work great to dry Grunt and Deuce when they come in from the rain also.

This is a great towel. It absorbs well after a bath and it’s great for clean up when coming in from outside. Easy to clean and dry. I would suggest making it a little longer so that when you are rubbing down your dog it fully circles the body of your dog.

My dog is a little plump so the towel doesn’t encircle her completely. Just a thought.

Simply a FABULOUS product value used for a golden retriever with lots & lots of doggy fur and hair. Worked so well we also got the same brand doggy rug/mat for continued comfort. Dog owners will truly appreciate the product worth.

These are fantastic towels to dry our dogs when coming in from the rain. They are very absorbent and make drying a quick job. Our dogs like to race through the house and jump and roll on the sofa after their walk.

The towels are a huge help in protecting the sofa from getting wet.

I’ve got a medium dog with long fur. I used to need 2 bath towels and a long blow dry session to fully dry her and remove fur. I’m amazed at how much time these saved me. After one of these she was mostly dry and blow drying after was a breeze since it helped remove some fur too!.

These are nice. The towels get wet really fast, but also dry much faster than regual cotton towels. We used one for our small, 12 lb dog right out of his bath. He had really long hair at the time (bathing before using clippers).

The 1st towel absorbed a lot of the water and got wet really fast, but the 2nd towel helped dry him off. and I used the 3rd towel just to wrap him in to get him to the dryer. I like these towels – lightweight, easy to store.

This is probably the best harness I came across. I liked it so much that I have four for my two GSD dogs which undergo continuous training. I was impressed with the quality altogether. The lining is from a soft fabric which is kind for the dogs during their intense training periods.

The under chest part embraces the dog very well without restricting the movements of their front legs. Important advice is to check the table and measure the dogs dimensions in order to get the correct size.

The towel is great for drying off and cleaning my dog. Much better than a ordinary towel. It also dries very quickly after use.

It’s indispensable in wet and snowy conditions for my lab and my terrier! The “towel” absorbs so much more water than a terry cloth towel can. The result is a cleaner car and home. It washes beautifully and dry very fast.

Bought this on a whim while walking the store aisles. Our dogs frequently find the nearest puddle or stream on our walk and we always carried a beach towel in the car – clean their feet and try to dry them off.

This is much smaller and blots even more water than the beach towel- I’d call it a good worthwhile purchase. Maybe get two – one for the car and one for the house when dogs come in with wet fur from rolling in the snow.

Having a shaggy golden retriever and a yellow lab that enjoy playing in mud and swimming creates a constant need for a good towel and this one meets and exceeds the needs. Great addition to the dog bag for when I take the boys out.

I sell this product but I also own 2 Large Dogs and use these towels myself. The dog towels are essentially a sponge and they really absorb water. I used to have to search all over for a towel to use on my dogs and once I had a human sized towel it would barely soak up the water.

My Weimaraner has always been easy to care for with her short coat. However, my chocolate lab (featured in my item’s picture) has a very thick coat. It used to take 2 regular towels to barely dry her.

Now I can either use 2 of these towels to completely dry her or 1 and rang it out and apply again. Only con is that they aren’t even larger haha.

Bought this a couple of weeks ago and finally got to use it for the first time yesterday. I’m naturally fairly skeptical but I’ll try just about anything once and this was a good find! Did a light trail ride with my guy and he only had some sweat where the saddle was, nothing crazy.

I didn’t want to give him a whole rinse just for such a small area and strip his hair so I figured why not try my little blue towel. I did a rub down on the area like usual and within a few min the area was dry.

No joke! I didn’t have a fan on him and this was an 80 degree day so that was pretty impressive! It will be interesting to see how it works when he is a woolly mammoth this winter. And it isn’t super expensive! Overall, good thing to have in your grooming box.

Honestly, I bought a couple of these towels because I needed to spend a couple more bucks to use a coupon but I am SO glad that I did! I bought one for my tack to be able to wipe dirt and dust off quickly, and a second to be able to quickly wipe off my horse when I don’t have time for a full groom.

They are thicker than I expected for the price and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. They are so handy to have around and I use these towels on a daily basis, I definitely recommend having at least one on hand at all times!.

This is a great product and very reasonably priced. I purchased ten of them to have in my tack trunk, grooming totes, with my boots, with my saddle – just a fabulous all around cloth. I use them for everything.

They wash up well, are soft on my horse and whatever else I use them for – this is definitely a MUST HAVE ITEM!.

These towels are so absorbent! I place one on the floor to soak up water from wet dog feet while I wipe the pups down after being outside in the rain. They absorb the water quickly and my Brittanys are dry in no time.

So far I love this towel for my golden retriever. It absorbs a lot of water and helps wipe away dirty/muddy paws without having to hose her feet off every time. But when I do hose her feet off, this towel is great at absorbing excess water.

Because of the hand mitt falling apart on me after one use, I am concerned about how long this towel will last without falling apart at the edges, but so far so good.

I LOVE this drying garment! I have a puppy who loves to swim in Lake Michigan when we go hiking along the beach. This is perfect for the car ride home so he doesn’t track wet sand into my car! He also loves to hop directly into my bed and under the covers as soon as he has escaped from his bath after the hike.

This towel helps both of us as he dries much faster and doesn’t leave huge puddles all over my floor, and I don’t have to change the sheets either! I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has a furry companion who loves to swim or is against bath time the way mine is.

I have a golden retriever that has a super thick coat takes hours for him to dry ! I have a rain “ suit “ to wear put in rain that protects his underside ( not sure if I can mention brands but it’s a Nordic company- anyway that’s for you guys that want underside protection ) My dog has just begun “ dock diving “ it’s a 40 min car ride there and back so I wanted to get him as dry as possible! This is perfect for that ! I like that it covers him super well ( long on sides , I like the travel mesh bag ! I did expect a better Terry cloth similar to the dog drying mats ( see pic) that are super plush – for 90$ I would expect it yo be lined w a much better drying Terry ! It’s a thin , ( prolly because they made it lightweight for backpackers ?) Most people I think use this at home not ok the trail so it should be well lined w a thirsty towel made to dry dogs ! I do love the outer shell it will keep the water inside the dog “ coat” (bc it fits like a coat ) I did go by measurements and mine fit easily in the med category but problem is his tail needed an extra inch or too in length ! He’s a slim dog so why not offer a med “Long “ as well ! I’m trying the large but afraid it’s gonna be too loose in the girth area ( he’s 26” in waist ) But a med will fit if I have to make it work ! As you can see he wears this into his crate which is exactly what I wanted ! To drive home from pool with his towel wrapped around him! This is a great dog product !.

We have 2 dogs, a Westie and a 65 lb mix and even though they wear their raincoats out in the rain. whats the fun of rain if you dont play in it a little while you’re out there. so we have long big feet and head and short little white feet, head and belly on the other and this towel does a super job of drying off all of it.

My little guy loves it when you put a hand in each side of it and rub back and forth on his belly. really gets that tail going lol. Thank you for making such a great towel!!.

Cute towel and well made. The large is a good size for a medium dog. My dogs are approx 35 pounds. The towel is very absorbent, but find the hood to be cumbersome. My dogs also do not like the hood. The towel drys quickly and of course my dogs look adorable with their unicorn towel.

I have 2 cocker spaniels who seek out water wherever we go. This has proved to be really good at drying the dogs and removing the mud from their feet. If I could change anything I would make it slightly longer as I tend to put the towel over their heads/ shoulders while I dry their feet, and this isn’t quite long enough.

Would I recommend this? Most definitely. The ‘oven glove’ approach to dog drying certainly works for when you gave a wriggly dog.

Saw this on The Customer is always right. And is perfect. Beautifually made – there are copies of it, which look very inferior, with triangular raggedy “gloves” We have two small dogs and this is perfect for both of their needs, particualrly underneath with all the muddy bits! The gloves on these are very roomy and hold the dog well.

I would recommend for larger dogs too.

Does soak up the water from the dog well, but smaller than I expected. Suitable for a up to a medium sized dog maximum. Not really big enough to dry our 6 month puppy Rotti

These towel work supper well! Much better then expected. I have a big, long fur, Mane Coone cat that has a skin condition and needs a special bath once a week. Most towels will not absorb the water well and leaves supper soggy, pooring water towels stacked up when I try to dry him, and don’t get him dry enough.

Two of these towles did the trick and I was able to carry them to the wash without a drop of water falling on the floor! Fantastic Towels!.

Very high quality product indeed. I bought these towels before picking my little Nikki up from the breeder. When I got them I almost wanted to use them for myself. Well I resisted the temptation and saved it for Nikki.

After the first shower (Nikki accidentally jumped into the bath tub), I could really see the use of these wonderful towels. They are soft and can easily absorb water. I do recommend this to pet owners.

I believe I read A negative comment a while back,stating they did not like this towel because the towel gets soaked with water. But, it’s suppose to be really wet because it is absorbing the water from the dog.

I just love it, because my little guy does not like the blow dryer, so he spends a good amount of time being wet, because regular towels were not able to absorb all the water. This towel cuts down the time, more than half, that he has to be wet.

So it is really doing the job! I would like to add. the shampoo that I rated poorly, because it didn’t have even a trace of lavender and I didn’t see any benefit. But it does smell good and makes his coat soft.

First off, you get two for the price–which is a great deal. I’ve used these to dry off my pup after a bath and to dry off her paws after soggy walks and they work great. They are absorbent, of nice quality, and are holding up in the washing machine so far.

The size is just right for my medium-sized pup. They dry quickly. I have zero complaints. A very good product.

I am still in awe at how quickly and easily this towel dried my pup! The towel was drenched and he was fluffy, clean and bone dry. I hung up the towel and it too dried itself quickly. After many, MANY towels and drying devices, I am happily pleased with this towel.

Comparable to other mictofibre towels at a lower price. I probably should have measured them too. Hand pockets are useful. They’re pretty small when using on a Golden Retriever. We ordered 4 and usually get through 3 after each walk.

I wouldn’t order more. Instead I would get cheaper ones elsewhere – luckily I used a voucher which meant I got 50% off otherwise my review would be less complimentary.

My son has 2 border collies that literally howl and jump up and down when they hear the words “pool” & “swimming”. It’s their favorite activity! Second to that, it’s getting “buffed” after they get out of the water, and beach towels don’t really cut it when it comes to getting them dry.

These towels are perfect for them because they’re super absorbent, easy to handle with the hand pouch and not so big that they’re stepping all over them in the process. I also bought 2 for my son’s girlfriend’s pups and she loves them for bath time.

I hadn’t used this dog towel until today when I decided to wash my wire haired dachshund, the towel dried him well, I think it will probably dry even better after being washed. Beware though the colour runs badly I have a green dog towel that is now brown.

My cocker spaniel puppy adores being out in all sorts of weather so when it comes to drying her its a task After one use I was pleased with it. It absorbs so much water and fluffs up their coat lovely.

It has a handy piece of elastic in the middle which means its easier to hang up to dry. Would definitely recommend this product.

I just wrap my COCKAPOO in towel. The towel soaks the excess water from her coat, no need to rub her coat as this makes her fur tatty. This is the second i have bought. One to leave at my sisters, she has two POODLE POINTERS and she uses the same towel to dry them.
