20 Best Towels For Hair (2022 Updated)

I’ve bought two (one for a gift) of these towels so not sure why there’s so many bad reviews. People just love to complain and be negative. Other than the cost, I love this luxurious feeling towel, and how light weight it is.

I would love a bath wrap in the fabric if not so expensive. It’s the perfect thickness to wrap around your wet head while putting on makeup. If you secure it the way demonstrated, it stays in place until taken down.

It absorbs water which is good for my curly hair as I don’t use a blow dryer. It’s not bulky as some reviews say. I would love to have several more, but can’t afford the cost. This is the only negative for me.

I’m sure this is the real reason people are so negative. There would be positive reviews if half the cost. :).

I don’t know why I ordered this towel and headband. On the plus side it is soft. I really can’t say much else positive about it. The towel is bulky and hard to get positioned on my head so it stays there without falling in my face or falling off completely.

Maybe I can develop a better technique to put it on as time goes by. I do have a couple microfiber towels that take the moisture out of my hair just as well as this thing and they were not nearly as expensive.

The headband is weird as it wants to pop off after I put it on. All the excess packaging is ridiculous. Why would anyone want to put a VOLO sticker on anything? The heavy cardboard tube is totally over the top for packaging.

Unfortunately this towel is not large enough if you have long hair. I have hair that is a little over half way down my back so when I put the towel over my head half of my hair hangs out of the towel.

The only thing I can do is try and fold my hair in half and then try and twist the towel without my hair falling out. The positive side is the towel is extremely soft and it does dry my hair much faster if I can manage to keep it in the towel.

I keep it in my bathroom to dry my hands with. I just thought people with very long hair should be aware. My bad for not thinking about the length of my hair and the measurements of the towel.

This is by far, the best turban towel I’ve ever used. I love that I can wash my hair & wrap it with this AMAZING towel & evn though it absorbs the excess water from my hair; it allows me to keep it on my head while I’m doing other things.

I can put on my makeup, get dressed & when I’m ready to dry my hair with the L’ange bristle brush dryer & my hair is about half way dry so that I can add my L’ange hair products and comb through then it only takes just a few minutes to get my hair completely dry! I also love all of my AMAZING hair styling products, especially when they’re on sale! L’ange’s styling tools & hair care supplies have given me MANY COMPLIMENTS ON MY HAIR.

My hair is very long, so these products cut down on the time it takes me to dry & style my hair. Love all of your products I have used and every time any of them go on sale, I start shopping again to always be stocked up.

I got this at a discount after buying my iron. It surprised me how absorbent it is. And much smaller than a towel so easier to deal with than my giant bath towels. I have short hair so I definatly dont need a huge towel, and I dont know anyone that actually does! So I really appreciate the size.

It’s also very pretty pink! I’m so glad I got this. I would give the full price knowing what I know now! I probably would have never got it if they hadnt put at a discount for me, so I’m so glad that they did! If you are considering and on the fence about buying this hair drying wrap, Do it! You will bot be disappointed! Pretty, lightweight, not bulky, more absorbent than any towel I’ve ever used.

My hair is not as frizzy using this either, not sure the explanation of why this is, but I’m definitely thrilled about it!.

For years I always just wrapped my hair in a big bath towel after I washed my hair. It was so heavy and made things difficult when I would try and do things while my hair was wrapped. I received the hair wrap as a gift with a purchase of a hair wand (which I LOVE).

The pink hair wrap is so soft and so light. You can easily put makeup on and get dressed or even just lay in bed and be completely comfortable. The button on the back makes it so easy to tie your wrap in place.

I have super long hair but the hair wrap takes it all just fine. I honestly plan on getting these wraps for my mom and sisters as they still wrap their hair in large towels. I want them to have the experience I have had with the l’ange hair wrap.

I absolutely love this microfiber towel. I have the Micro Dot print which is so fun and classy! The quality of this towel is so good, comparing to other hair towels I’ve tried that barely hold all of my hair, this towel is big enough to hold all my hair.

Also, it is thick material but very light weight. Very gentle on my hair which is so important to me because ultimately, I want to protect my hair as best as I can. Since using this microfiber towel I’ve seen less frizz and it dries my hair so quickly.

Aesthetically, it is a simple product but the quality of the material, the detail and color of the button that helps secure the towel in place and the logo is very classy and makes you feel like you are legit using a luxury brand! Can’t recommend this enough.

I will be ordering the 4 pack as it is something that I will continue to use and start implementing in my daughters’ wash days as well!.

I have looked at this brand of hair towel for a long time. I finally purchased the leopard pattern one. I was using another popular brand but honestly this tops that one! You are getting a much better product with a better price point than the other brand that I was using.

My hair is very long and medium density. I believe it would accommodate any hair type. I have curly and wavy hair! I tend to struggle with dry ends and just more fragile hair after it’s washed. Since my hair has been growing longer I have been trying to take better care. I bought the last one in stock and am so happy I did.

Not only do I love the softness, but it keeps my hair out of my face and helps it dry without damage. Pattern is too cute. I also love that it’s machine washable so it should last me a long time. I just feel lucky that there was one left.

I have always wanted a Turbie Twist because everyone loves it. It also helps with frizz and overall the state of my hair. Win-win for me and the less than $10 price tag. Thank you so much Target. I wasn’t sure if it was sold in store because I didn’t want to order online.

NOT long enough for actual “long” hair, not sure what other reviewers are thinking. This is definitely for your average length, medium length, shoulder-length hair. That being said, it still works okay for me, and looks super cute.

The technique required to keep it on feels just as finicky as a normal towel, just different.

i was having trouble finding a microfiber cloth big enough to wrap around my hair after the shower. this is PERFECT. i had a turbie towel when they first came out and oh my goodness have they improved.

the tail is super long to accommodate long, thick hair. the loop is easy to use and it stays on. dries my thick curly hair well! i love it. it’s so easy and it makes getting ready easy because i know my hair is taken care of it and the towel won’t fall off my head.

Absolutely brilliant. I’d saw this brand trending and wanted to try it out and honestly just using the wrap made a huge difference to my hair, it was so sleek and straight when normally my hair is frizzy af and very wavy, made my hair so so shiny too.

So easy to use and super absorbent. Really locks in the scent of your hair too and could smell my conditioner for days afterward. The fabric is so soft and gorgeous in the blush pink. Will 100% be a staple to my hair washing.

I don’t like to buy anything and really really don’t like shopping. BUT I suffer from migraines and really needed something for my very thick hair and heavy hair besides a heavy towel. I buy Kitsch face masks so I thought I would give the wrap a try.

It’s one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. It cuts my drying time down and I wear it in the shower when I don’t wash my hair. It helps with breakage and I can wear it for hours even to bed without a migraine occurrence.

Pros: Very large, light, looks hotel quality. Holds together in wash. If you have super thick hair this may be great for you. I have tons long hair to my bra strap but it’s fine and straight so i don’t have the drying issues others may have.

That said, Cons include: even washed on cold with other whites the towel had yellow staining first wash, possibly from its own tag? Ugh. Lil yellow spots around the tag:( Texture is terrible- it holds up, but it’s that synthetic water wicking, camping towel like texture that scratches any dry skin on your hands.

Ick just feels weird and i avoid this texture at all costs. Cost: $45! It’s a big towel, but dang. I will stick with my Aquis Copper turban towels which are smaller, lighter, thus gentler on my scalp and neck, do the job, stay on my head, hold their shape with the button/elastic closure, $10 cheaper, do not self-stain, and have a lovely cotton- feel texture.

This is going back which i don’t like to do as a beautiful white hotel looking towel is a towel right? Not for $45!.

This towel is amazing. It’s so gentle and doesn’t pull on your hair like a regular bath towel. It dries hair so fast and leaves it so smooth with no frizz! It’s seriously amazing, not to mention super high quality.

My only worry is the elastic stretching out over time because I use this everyday! But I don’t care, my hair has never been so happy. Also I’ve noticed WAY less hair shedding since using this towel combined with all other CA products including the brush.

Trust me you won’t regret it!.

I love this towel! I have very thick hair that always takes forever to dry, but this dries my hair so much more quickly and effectively than any other towels I have tried. Seriously, the first time I tried it I was shocked at how much it had dried my hair in just a few minutes.

It is thin and lightweight, so it dries quickly between uses and does not feel heavy on my head at all. The elastic strap keeps everything in place very well. I got these for my mom and sisters as gifts, and they are now obsessed as well.

I never thought I could get this excited about a towel, but it is truly a dream!.

I still had a couple of Aquis towels in use that were 15 years old! But, my new ones are even better. They wrap into a turban without the weight of a bath towel pulling on my hair. The towels pull moisture from the hair evenly making it ready to style.

Aquis towels dry quickly and launder extremely well. They are so soft and just the perfect size longer hair!.

From the “base” of my head my hair is 25 inches long and somewhat thick. Standard towels do NOTHING to remove the water. So as I work at my desk my back and butt get WET from the run off. YES, at times this can be embarrassing.

I use a barrette to pull back my bangs and 12+ hours later I can take it down and still have wet hair. =/ NOT with Aquis Hair Towels. Yiiiiipppppeeeeeee! I put my hair up while I get dressed. I then shake my hair out (to separate) and wrap back up while I clean up the shower area and get my hair products to comb it out.

ZERO “run off” at this point AND my hair is 100% dry from “natural” drying no more than 3 hours later. The ONLY down falls to this product. they’re a bit expensive and there is less than a 1/2 inch available for tucking/locking in place.

BUT NO WORRIES. The manufacturer has a bigger one that I soooooo plan to get. AND, I’ve already told my daughter she can have the ones I currently have because they will fit her hair perfectly. I saw they also have body towels and plan to get them as well.

only wish they had the bath sheet size.

This is the best Hair Towel I’ve ever used. I love how much room it has to easily hold all of my long hair which is past the middle of my back. My back is fused after 3 surgeries and my neck is next for a surgery due to 4 seriously bulging discs after an injury.

You know that having to wrap a towel around all that wet hair is so heavy and painful and this feels so lite on my head. It’s even quick and easy for me to fasten with the big elastic and large button on back of the wrap.

It soaks up a good bit of water out of my hair and when I’m done I just hang it on a hook I put on the wall to dry. It washes up great in the washer with the regular wash. I dry it on low heat and it comes out looking like it did when I bought it which is pretty awesome! I highly recommend this Hair Wrap.

Having waist length hair, these types of towels are pretty useless for me. I saw the review that said this one was generous size-wise and I took a chance. SO glad I did! It’s awesome! Super soft and absorbent and I am able to actually get all my hair in and still button it up! My hair is a medium thickness but I think it would work well with thicker hair too.

It’s a generous size. This is really, really nice. It is so nice to be able to actually ‘turban’ my hair without a regular towel which constantly comes off trying to balance on my head! If you have long hair you’ll love it!.

I have frizzy-prone curly hair that needs to dry in a particular way in order to have it look a certain way. By this, I mean I need to style it with particular products and dry it wrapped up so that when I remove the towel, I will more or less remain unchanged for the remainder of the day.

I was hoping this handy towel would facilitate this process but it surely did not. It claims to tame frizz but it is made with the same terry cloth towels are made with. Curly hair requires a more tightly woven fabric that will not tug or pull on the hair, disrupting the pattern and causing frizz.

Needless to say, I am severely disappointed with this little towel.

These are great for keying your hair tucked away when washing your face but I actually found another great use for them. I suffer from extremely dry eyes to the point of having to use prescription eye drops twice a day.

I also have to use a CPAP at night. I have found it difficult to find a good sleeping mask that keeps the air from the CPAP from sneaking in and blowing across my eyes while I sleep. If I found a mask to keep the air out it was typically too tight and very uncomfortable to wear.

I now actually put one of the turbies on at night and then pull it down until it just hits the middle of the bridge of my nose. Since my CPAP mask sits just below my nose and covers my mouth, this has worked great to block any air from blowing across my eyes but remains very comfortable to wear.

The material is thick enough it also blocks out the light. Thank you for my new sleep mask.

I never thought this would replace the headband I’d used forever when cleaning my face & diy facials. After using PTR Irish Moor Clay facial I knew I needed something to better hold my hair back, enter this set of 5.

It worked great for me. I was gifting PTR set of 3 facial masks for Christmas & decided to toss 1 in the stocking for the 4 girls on my list. I have to say when they saw the turbies they drew quite the confused looks apparently no one had ever seen them before, it was a bit of embarrassment & a lot of laughter & oh now I get it when the girl’s figured out how to use them, followed by howls from the guys guessing tube tops are back in style! Everything worked out just fine.

We all use our turbies as intended & share a laugh at the confusing looks we will shared How they will stand up overtime, only time will tell, but so far it’s all good. I do wish there were dark colors for those deep dark clay mask most of us use every now & then, it would be a cleaner looking turbie band instead of looking the way my face cloth looked even after laundering, yuck I knew it was laundered but no one else would, just a suggestion.

I bought two sets of these great turbies for myself and for Christmas gifts, but returned the black/gray/white set because I found the darker colors too depressing to use as gifts. However, the beautiful pastel colors in the second set were a true hit with my daughter and two young granddaughters.

They’re perfect for keeping hair up when the family is hanging-out in the hot tub, when the girls are playing in the bathtub, taking quick showers, keeping their hair out of the way when they wash their faces, as well as when my oldest granddaughter puts-in/takes-out her contact lenses.

I use my own white turbie daily and keep one in my travel bag. I appreciate that they’re 100% cotton, with enough stretch to fit any size head. (My youngest granddaughter has no problem keeping her long fine hair in her pink turbie.

) The fabric gift bags were perfect for Christmas, but would work well for any gifting and/or storage situation.

I have always thrown my hair in a bath towel and wrapped it up in this gargantuan, heavy mess! Not cute! I was excited to try this hair towel for the quick drying claims and because my frizz is other-worldly.

This towel is soft and gentle, is machine washable (I put it on warm with a gentle detergent and no fabric softener and then allow it to air dry), dries relatively quickly, and dries my hair faster than a regular towel does.

Echoing others’ concerns, this towel would be fantastic if it were just a little larger. I have a small head, so I can wrap it around my head, but it doesn’t like to stay wrapped if I move my head too quickly.

I wouldn’t mind if it were maybe 38″ long instead of 36″ to allow for a bit of extra staying power. Also, I have long hair (about 3 feet of it), and it doesn’t all fit in this towel when wrapped, it hangs out the end.

I think I’d need it to be at least 28″ instead of 18″ wide for it to fit, haha. But I knew that before buying, so I’m not annoyed about it. At this price point, this towel is perfect.

I use this towel every morning specifically for my hair. after showering, I wrap my hair up in the towel like a turban and slide the tail end under at the nape of the neck. The towel stays put and my hair is out of the way while I brush my teeth, put my make-up on, etc.

When I’m ready to blow-dry, I just unwrap the towel and I have perfectly damp hair, not too dry, not too wet. I travel with the towel as well, as it dries quick enough to pack in my suitcase. I wash the towel in warm water once a week and just let it air dry – I recommend NOT putting it in the dryer or using fabric softener, as this reduces the amount of water that the towel’s fibers can absorb.

My mom also uses this towel for her hair and loves it just as much as I do.

I bought this towel because I had been ready that regular terry cloth towels snag your hair. Since I have long, wavy/curly hair, that is also bleached blonde, I am always cautious with my hair. I decided to give this a go and I am SO GLAD I did.

I will never use a terry cloth towel again. My hair dries quicker with this towel and it dries less frizzy. I just wish it were a bit bigger.

I’ve used a regular bath towel to wrap up my hair every day for over 30 years with no issues, but the idea of drying my hair faster and with less damage was appealing. My hair is thick and was medium-long when I purchased this item.

I never noticed a difference in drying time, but I did notice that the towel is pretty tight and pulls on the front of my hair when buttoned. After a few weeks of use I noticed that the front of my hair was looking bigger/frizzier than it was before, especially where my hair is parted in front.

I figured that maybe it was because I was leaving the towel on for too long and letting my hair dry too much in a pulled back position. I tried to make sure my hair wasn’t pulled back as much when I did the wrap, but the problem didn’t go away.

I decided that this was because it was summer and there was just no controlling my frizz. It took another few months before I realized that my hair was actually very damaged and has broken off in the area when I typically feel the towel pull when I twist it up.

So now I have a weird little broken bit that will take over a year to grow back and my hair is frizzier than before. This towel caused obvious damage to my hair and I will not be using it anymore!.

I got one of these years ago in a subscription box (for the life of me I can’t remember which one because I was subscribed to all of them at one point or another). I remember, at the time, thinking how boring it was to get it.

Boy was I wrong! This is FAR superior to a regular bath towel for a number of reasons- it’s not heavy at all so it doesn’t pull on my hair like regular bath towels do because of the weight. It’s super absorbent (if you’re thinking it doesn’t absorb very well, make sure you’re not washing it with fabric softener- items that are meant to absorb need to be washed with the most basic wash and absolutely no added softeners or even fragrances or it will diminish their ability to absorb).

I typically wash mine in a plain unscented wash and dry without any sort of dryer sheet and it always comes out perfectly. This towel has cut my drying time by at least half I’d say. I don’t have thick hair, but I do have a lot of fine hair that holds water really well (hair dressers have told me), and this pulls most of that excess water out so that when I dry it, it’s damp and not soaking wet.

After owning it for years, I have finally realized I can buy another one here at Ulta so I’m buying another one so that I can switch them out without having to make sure I get it washed before the next time I wash my hair.

This towel is worth it’s price easily! I got my first one “free” because of a subscription box but I’m buying another one right now because it’s that good and I never want to be without it!.

I always wanted one of these but also kind of thought it was just another gimmick to spend money on. I finally got one and this is actually life changing. I notice a huge difference in my hair and it really soaks out water fast.

You don’t have to wear it long. I have very long curly blonde/bleached hair and wrapping it in a towel was so heavy and pulled on my roots. This is so much better. I travel with it I could never put my hair in a towel again.

They are also a great gift. My mom has fine thin fine straight angel hair and since going through chemo she has kept her hair but it’s even more delicate than normal. I got her this to help protect from breakage and she is just as obsessed.

It has definitely helped keep the integrity of both our very opposite hair.

great value 2 pack of luxury hair turbans- sooooooo soft. I washed mine before 1st use, as I didn’t like the feel at first (I shudder if I touch cotton wool), they are lovely once washed, soft & no indentation lines from wearing.

I love these, they are super soft and gentle on my hair and even after washing them several times they are still as soft as when they were new. Also I have long, thick hair and I manage to tuck all of my hair in these easily without it falling out of the towel.

Bought as xmas gift. They feel really soft and squishy. I m sure they will dry hair okay. I have bought from studio many times and not been dissapointed so far.

Just bought my V Clip extension. I have dark hair and this really changed my whole look. I decided to get the medium brown with blond highlights. I had my hairdresser to put in a few highlights on my crown and sides to match.

I look so much younger. So many compliments. It’s honestly inspired me to loose 15 lbs. Try something new it will make you feel like I’m a new woman.

This Is the BEST microfiber towel I have ever used. The fabric is super soft & absorbent. I also love the size of the towel, it’s big enough to put all my hair +my extension piece in (if I am washing it).

It also does a great job staying in place. I would recommend this product for sure!.

I mean this isn’t too different then many other hair turbans or other hair wraps by other names. The thing I liked most was that you can attach the wrapped portion to a button on the back portion of the wrap.

Problem I had which is why not five stars, the elastic loop you attach to the button to hold the wrap in place, is on the inside of the wrap where your hair is. If you have long hair as I do, it becomes a struggle getting it out with no hair in it to attach it.

So a bit inconvient to say the least. My hair is already in a bunch because it is so long that having to find that loop and not pull your hair when attaching to the button becomes an issue. Other than that it works just like all the other hair wraps to aid in drying.

I honestly have no idea why I wait so long to purchase one of these. This makes everything I do after a shower like putting lotion on, doing my skin care, and everything else so easy. I don’t worry about my towel falling out because this secures with a button in the back.

I even get dressed and just relax with my hair in this. I have multiple colors of these and honestly had I know how amazing these were I would’ve purchased ages ago.

I often wrap my long curly hair in my large towels after showering which way my head down and hurt my neck. I decided to buy this wrap and am very happy with the buy. Though it’s smaller than a hand towel, it is big enough for long curly hair and stays secury as it comes with a button on one end and an elastic tab on the other.

The towel is very abosrbant and it’s so light that neck pain is no longer an issue.

i received a defective product, it sheds HORRIBLY EVERYWHERE. i washed it before use and put it on my hair when i got out of the shower. there was white fuzz and lint ALL OVER MY HAIR. i went right back into the shower to REWASH my hair and used a different towel exiting.

i emailed support and they were extremely condescending asking “Did you wash it first? like most towels, it needs to be washed first. ” who DOESN’T wash towels/clothes after they order it??? obviously i did.

additionally the product took A MONTH to ship to me and i emailed multiple times asking where my order was. Support says “it’s easy to miss the preorder button”. first of all when I ordered it, there was never a pre-order button.

it BECAME OUT OF STOCK AFTER I ORDERED IT. additionally now, it says ships 9/22 when my product shipped 9/28. i’m genuinely SHOCKED at not only the product quality, but the customer service. A very simple reply could’ve been “sorry about that let us ship you a new one to replace your defective product” or “while we can’t send you a replacement, here’s a refund or credit amount”.

THE ITEM LITERALLY DOES NOT WORK and their website promises a guarantee. People rave about this brand so I decided to try it out and wow, is this how they really treat their customers? Maybe just us BIPOC folks.

This towel is great! It is super soft and absorbent and truly does dry my hair faster. I stopped blowing my hair dry a couple years ago, but letting it air dry during our cold, damp PNW winters could take up to two hours.

I wrap my hair in this towel when I get out of the shower and leave it on while applying lotion and makeup. My hair dries in half the time it took before. The towel is big enough to comfortably hold my long (past shoulders) hair, without being bulky.

Stays in place. Great product!.

I almost want to cry I love this towel so much. I’m not being dramatic at all, I seriously just love this towel. It’s plush and soft, dries my hair fast, feels so nice sitting on my head, and is something I look forward to using every time I wash my hair.

I had a turbee twist towel ages ago that was total trash compared to this. If you’re thinking to yourself “Do I really need to buy a towel just for my hair… I can just put it up with my regular towel and not waste money” then stop thinking and buy it!!! I was not going to when I got on to buy the scalp detox, serum, and hair mask, but I was getting really tired of that heavy towel being on my head and how difficult it was to keep it up there without falling.
