I’ve had this PC for 3 weeks at the time of this review. It replaces an HP Compaq that I purchased as a refurb about 10 years ago. That computer still works, but it can no longer keep up with the demands placed upon it by advances in software that is commonly used; it would need upgrades in memory and probably other areas to accept the Windows 11 upgrade; and I have wanted something with touchscreen capabilities for several years now.

The touchscreen feature is everything I hoped it would be. It’s like using my tablet but with more visual real estate and more power and capability. I’ve learned how to “right-click” by positioning 2 fingers vertically on the screen.

I enjoy having the ability to tap the screen to control it in addition to using the mouse. And the slight warmth of the screen doesn’t make quick, occasional touches and gestures in the least uncomfortable.

Setup was very easy. I turned on the PC, and the “nice lady” talked me through everything. As with any computer set-up, it is strongly recommended to do this in a distraction-free environment when one is alert so things don’t get entered incorrectly or steps missed.

I have already upgraded to Windows 11, too. This PC connected wirelessly to my Wi-fi, eliminating the need for a wired connection to my cable modem. I was pleasantly, elatedly surprised to have it also connect wirelessly via the network to my HP printer; that printer was USB connected to my Compaq.

Another cord gone! The onboard speaker eliminates yet another cord, but I’m reserving the option to connect my old speakers to it through the headphone jack. Some may like a richer sound than this PC natively supplies.

I’m not complaining; without speakers, my Compaq was inaudible. And with the wireless connectivity, I believe I have options about wireless listening and alternate places where I can put this PC. I did get an issue a few days ago of an unresponsive screen after an incomplete startup.

When pressing Control-Alt-Delete or Escape, restarting from a hard boot, and restarting after unplugging/re-plugging all failed, I held the Shift after pressing the power button to bring the PC up in Safe mode.

This fixed the problem, and I was able to restart normally after that. The resolution seems to have changed slightly, resulting in noticeably larger images, but since I’m visually impaired anyway, I’m not bothered about that.

I can probably fix it in Settings if I need to. I find the current speed and processing capability of this PC refreshingly fast, especially after the Compaq, which had lost the ability to stream videos in full-screen without freezing, and had to have the quality adjusted down to below 500p to play without skipping in regular mode.

The fact that it only had 4GB memory doubtless impacted this. And, compared the the increasingly incessant clicking and clacking of the Compaq, which would become a full-throated roar if I shut the door to the desk compartment where it spent its latter years, the low purr of this PC is barely noticeable.

And while a cordless mouse and keyboard might be nice, I’m sufficiently satisfied with the corded keyboard that I’m not in any great hurry to replace it yet. As for the mouse, I’m subbing in a vintage (about 20 years, I think) Microsoft trackball that currently costs more than it did when I bought it new, and which I have now used with 4 PC’s, including this one.

If I do finally decide to get a different keyboard, I think I’d like one with a trackpad/trackball situation. This PC accepted my venerable trackball without a fuss. I haven’t used the camera yet, but I like that it has one.

When my curiosity ie ready, I will learn how to use it. I wish transferring data to this PC had been easier. It wasn’t much data that I wanted to transfer, but it would have been nice to have access to the Microsoft Office software that was installed on my Compaq.

I did ultimately find a reliable alternative app to use, and I did discover that HP sells something one can buy, called PCMover, to help with the data migration process. I ended up not buying it, but it’s nice to know it’s out there.

The rest of what I wanted is saved onto an external hard drive, and I’ve gotten at those files with not much fuss. Unless I’m misremembering, every PC I’ve owned past the first one has been an HP, and I think the current HP printer is my 2nd.

So I’m obviously brand-loyal here. But if you’re new to the brand, welcome, and I think you’ll like this PC if you buy it.

Pros: Great value if you want very fast CPU performance and not much graphics performance. Best feature: nearly half the speed of the very fast Ryzen 9 5950X at only a quarter of the system price for multithreaded CPU-intensive work! You’re getting a $325 CPU chip plus a fast 256GB NVME SSD and 16GB RAM in a $600 sale-price computer.

Can’t beat the price/performance! Easy to add a SATA SSD or 3. 5” hard drive. Built-in graphics are completely adequate for a home or small business machine. Very fast system for browsing and office work or software development.

I’ve made it run even faster for Iron Fish CPU-based crypto mining by putting on a much better Noctua NH-U9S air cooler with 2 fans and leaving the side panel off for better airflow. This allows auto-overclocking with Ryzen Master to all 8 cores running at 4.

4 GHz continuously, and the CPU temp is only 65C. Some applications that would benefit from more memory bandwidth need a 2nd 16GB RAM DIMM added (to use the 2nd CPU memory channel). Compatible with standard DDR4-3200 CL22 DIMMs such as Crucial.

Surprisingly power-efficient when not running CPU-intensive workloads (<50W from wall socket). Efficient even if you do push the CPU hard: under 90W. If it fits your needs, you’ll love the speed and the low price and the compactness.

Quiet, too. Cons: not much extra power available from the power supply, and no auxiliary power connectors except for SATA ones. WiFi is weak and slow (1×1). If you need fast networking, use the gigabit LAN port.

Sneaky of HP to hobble the RAM bandwidth with only a single DIMM, but for $72 you can add another 16GB DIMM and get full speed. No tweaks in the BIOS for clocking changes or RAM speed adjustment or undervolting.

However, you can tune core voltage and speed manually with Ryzen Master (will void your warranty). Limited gaming potential due to small power supply and no auxiliary 6- or 8-pin power connector for a GPU card.

You could put in an older 75W PCIe-powered Nvidia GPU like an RTX 1060 or RTX 1650 and do light gaming. The PCIe x16 slot is only PCIe 3. 0, but it’s adequate for the add-in graphics cards above. I ended up buying a 2nd system because they fit my needs well and are very cost-effective.

I bought this machine to replace my daughter’s workstation. She runs Debian GNU/Linux stable (Bullseye) and that presented a couple exciting hurdles – the graphics hardware is newer than Debian’s kernel supports, for one.

We installed her nVidia Geforce GT 1030 graphics card, and that was no longer an issue. Next, the chipset itself is also a bit too new, and threw an error in some ACPI code, but setting “noapic” on the kernel command line made the system happy.

All that done, the system is blazingly fast – especially the NVME drive. It’s really nice. I know other reviews noted issues with wifi, but we plugged ours into gigabit ethernet and we haven’t tested the wifi.

The gigabit ethernet seems responsive and reliable so far. We got this system for a combination of power efficiency and a good gaming (Steam games, World of Warcraft, GCompris) experience, and it delivers both for a great price.

The set-up involved a bit more work than I expected mostly because the hardware is so new, but now that it’s running, it’s a great little GNU/Linux workstation.

Ran some initial tests with Heaven benchmark and with all the boxes checked, ultra mode, and 2x anti-aliasing, I was still seeing between 90-115 fps. I’ve only had it less than 24 hours, but the machine looks promising.

I had hoped to be further along with it, though. I’ve lost hours trying to get the case and fan lights working. I’ve gone through Skytech’s troubleshooting page, I’ve looked at countless posts and YouTube videos, but to no avail.

This has been all the more difficult since I’m just making some semi-educated guesses about the fan hardware involved. Before purchasing, I toyed with the idea of building my own PC again. But I decided against that because my free time is limited and I really wanted to hit the ground running with a prebuilt.

And while it’s true the lights are just cosmetic, they’re also cool and very prominent in all the product photos. And spending this much time troubleshooting has been a bit frustrating.

Had some boot troubles initially, but all was sorted out. Skytech’s support is quick, personable and very reasonable. Truly great support. I think at its current price point and the market being the way it is, you couldn’t actually build this machine for cheaper yourself, so it is a bargain.

For those wondering my machine came with a Biostar B450MH V6. 3, a no frills barebones board, but a very stable & reliable board. The GPU mine came with is an MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ventus XS 6GB, really happy with this, it is a dual fan unit and comes with a backplate.

The RAM, 2x 8GB ADATA XPG Sticks. These report in the bios as 2666 sticks not 3000, but the model name reports as DDR4-3000. Manually overclocked, these sticks do run 3000 MHz stable. Hard-drive, a WD BLUE 500GB SSD, solid reliable drive.

The Case, obviously a Thermaltake S200 Snow, a beautiful case with a ton of RGB modes to select from and a Thermaltake Smart Series 500w PSU. All in all this is a great build, Skytech hasn’t just thrown in cheap parts like many prebuilds, they clearly took the time to select parts that have proven reliability and also keep build costs reasonable.

It’s been extremely good to me. Despite all my complaints, I’ve nicknamed it, and I think I’ll be sticking with it for quite some time. It’s a stable computer and a great friend to add to your desk. The computer’s power supply likely would not support overclocking with everything running simultaneously.

The computer starts up insanely fast and everything seems to feel like it’s gliding along on clouds. I’d beware of treating the glass too roughly or jostling things too much- as computer equipment is sensitive.

Also, if you plan to install a second laptop-type drive as I did, please do yourself a favor and purchase a SATA cable along with it. It’ll save you time and investment of energy with digging into the wire bank in the back.

It’d also be prudent to purchase a larger power supply if you plan to upgrade in the near future, but if you don’t plan on doing any installs, forget about all that. It works as shipped. Just take care of it and it’ll take care of you.

Have had the PC for less than 2 weeks. It randomly turned off in the middle of editing a photo and would not turn back on. I was watching the temps on it and it was not overheating or having any issues running, no warning signs, it just shut down.

Tried different outlets, different power strips, the wall outlet, no luck. Did a little research and it sounds like the PSU died. Absolutely pathetic that it can’t handle more than 8 days of use. I chose this PC because about 2 weeks ago when looking at it, it was the best reviewed one in my price range.

So I have a theory that A. IBP started using cheaper and less reliable PSUs within the last month or so of manufacturing (as there are wayyyy more 1 star reviews than there were when I first looked at this PC, and they all mention the same issue I’m having) or B.

Everyone who wrote a positive review was paid to lie. A $1300 GAMING computer should be able to run a simple app like photoshop without dying. If it can’t, maybe IBP needs to switch to making/selling a product that’s closer to their skill level.

Like those digital watches that come in cereal boxes.

I want to preface this review, saying that I hold none of this against Best Buy in particular. But it was a very bad customer experience overall with this purchase. Okay, so, I was super excited to have this computer.

Purchased it at the store after some deliberation with myself. Took it home, started the unboxing process, and started to make room at my desk and the surrounding area to hook up the new PC. Did all the preparatory work, removing the foam inserts from inside the computer case, etc.

Connected my monitor, plugged everything in, and then powered on the PC. Went through the initialization of windows, connected to wifi, and then I was greeted with the Windows 11 login. Okay, we’re off to a good start.

I first started updating Software by running Windows Update. I like to keep everything current. Everything is running fine at this point. Hmm, then I realize that Windows isn’t activated. I try activating it.

It prompts me saying that the key for this system is wrong. Okay, fine. I look up how to find my windows key in cmd. Go through that process, and then get Windows activated. That was no big deal really, just annoying, but it is understandable.

What’s not understandable is what comes ten minutes later when the power supply in my brand new PC takes its own life! That’s right. My brand new PC’s power supply whilst in the middle of setting it up decides to push up some daises and go dark.

Great! I spend about thirty minutes troubleshooting the PC. Maybe I accidently did something? Okay, well, I’ll call tech support I suppose while I’m also troubleshooting the issue on my own. I Dial them up and go through the telephone maze, hitting numbers to get me connected to where I need to be connected to.

Okay, cool. The automated voice says I should be on hold for only ten minutes. Hey, that’s not too bad. So, I’m on hold, and I take off the panels of the PC and inspect it over. I’m making sure all the power connectors are seated fully, and I check that the RAM is seated good as well.

Looking it over and I cannot find a single thing wrong with it. I try another power on, and the PC does get a quick little bit of juice and then stops immediately after. Clearly, this is a power supply issue I think to myself, but I hold out a little hope.

Now, having already been on hold for thirty minutes, the automated voice tells me I should be on hold for about ten minutes. Then ten minutes later it tells me I should be on hold for about 90 minutes.

Okay, fine. I just want to get this PC going so I can go on with my life. A customer shouldn’t have to deal with stuff like this. An hour and a half go by, and I finally get someone on the line. I told him the issue with the computer, and he tells me, “Well either take it back or buy a new power supply”.

Okay. Normally I would have no problem taking back a PC, but you can’t buy anything you want these days because of the pandemic, hoarders, scalpers, delivery shortages, silicon shortages, etc. The dude on the line offered nothing, and I knew I wasn’t going to get anywhere with it.

No offer of fixing it, nothing. The dude could tell I was angry, but we quickly ended the call. I didn’t cuss at him, berate him, or anything, but it was a really crappy experience (I could tell he was worried I was going to explode on him but I didn’t).

The dude wasn’t sympathetic or understanding at all, he just wanted to get me off the phone. That’s the only way I can describe how the call went. It was an hour and half wait for a thirty second conversation with no concern or possible resolutions really offered to me other than those aforementioned.

So, now I have to repackage this PC back into its box and take it back to Best Buy. Which I do. But I opted to buy a new power supply instead of returning it. I wanted THIS SPECIFIC PC, and there are absolutely no other options available to me at the store because they have like a total of two other desktop computers in stock, and this was the ONLY one of this specific model.

So, I bought a Corsair (850m I believe the model is, I don’t have it nearby to look at). This was another purchase that cost me an additional $130 dollars. Yay! Took the PC and power supply back home, and then set about removing the old non-modular power supply from the case and installing the new power supply.

The whole uninstallation and installation took approximately about an hour because it is indeed a rats nest of cables to work around, but I got it installed fairly prompt. Did a test power-on on the kitchen table, and it did indeed power-on.

Cool. I have a PC now. It works just fine now that I put in my own BRAND NEW power supply. Thanks IBUYPOWER. You will not be a consideration for anything in my future. I may be using one of your computers currently, but your terrible customer service will steer me wide and clear of you in the future.

Honestly, if we weren’t in the current situation with the silicon shortage and all around shortages, and scalpers, I would’ve been building my own PC instead of buying this pre-built. But, most of us know that isn’t really an option that is on the table these days, and I needed a new computer.

I guess if anyone else has problems, I would tell them to deal with customer service on the phone, but MAKE THEM DO SOMETHING about the problem. Unlike how I did. I just knew I wasn’t going to get anywhere with the guy on the phone.

To those that don’t have much of an option these days with buying a new PC, these are viable option, however, as my review will relate, you are indeed rolling the dice. Unfortunately, due to everything I’ve experienced I have to rate this product as a 1 star.

The overall value of the system could be good, had I not experienced this. But, it begs the question of how long will other people’s power supplies in their same models of this PC last? Yikes!.

So ive had this unit for a few months now. I got it to start trying my hand at PCVR. Let me be clear- this PC is no slouch and has plenty of ports for peripherals- but trying to have stable game play in a flight simulator (DCS) HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE.

I finally figured out how to diagnose and fix the issues i was having. That said it has cost me nearly 1000 more dollars to get the CPU cooler and Power Supply i needed to be able to support my venture.

I havent tried any other games because i primarily use consoles to game but needed something stronger for flying. For the money im sure its a stable platform for the average gamer- but not for VR. cooling that comes from the factory is garbage.

If youre looking for something that will handle XMPs, Overclocks, and VR, save another 500-1000$ and get a bigger rig with better components and cooling. It will be worth it in the long run. Again- highly biased review based on what my goal was and is for this unit, but im disappointed in the unit and the sales person who advised me this would be more than sufficient to run such a game.

After reading several customer reviews about challenging installation experiences, I was a bit concerned I’d be seeing the same issues. My personal experience turned out to be fairly easy, and I found the towers were all around straightforward to pair with the landing pads #15 on my Outback.

I would say Yakima’s instructions could be a challenge at times, my advice to others is that it’s important not to rush through the steps. I just took my time, measured everything repeatedly before mounting, and boom.

Still remains to be seen how they maintain tightness over time.

I was hesitant to buy this system as it was more expensive than some comparable models, however after looking at manufacturer’s official website I became more confident in their abilities. I’m so glad I did too, as this system from CLX is remarkable.

It was ready to go right out of the box and came with operating system and Nvidia Control Panel pre-installed. Speaking of the box, this thing came packaged so well that it could have dropped on my porch from a helicopter and would have likely survived intact.

Just be sure to open up the case and remove the padding that they use to support the video card before you try to start it up. It also came with multiple printed pages verifying that a tech at their company checked and tested every component in the system, as well as photos of what that component was.

The cable management is phenomenal, the LEDs are gorgeous, and the system itself is lightning fast. I’m playing Cyberpunk with Ultra Ray Tracing settings in 1080p and it’s smooth as butter. It runs my Valve Index VR like a champ at 144hz.

Quality all around. My only complaint, which is nothing CLX did wrong, is that the specifications on Newegg did not tell me what style/ manufacturer of motherboard or GPU was installed (just stated it was an RTX 3060ti).

Anyone who has built a computer knows that the manufacturer makes a HUGE difference, so I was rolling the dice a little in this regard. Looking at CLX’s website again gave me comfort as they seem to mainly use MSI products in their Intel/Nvidia builds.

This particular one ended up coming with an MSI Z490A-Pro and MSI Ventus GPU, both of which I am happy with especially at this price point. For a pre-built mid level gaming system, you can’t go wrong with this one.

You won’t be playing with Ultra Ray Tracing in 4k at 120hz or anything, but you’ll easily part two times or more for that kind of capability. This system will obliterate 1080p and 1440 though, which is exactly what I was wanting.

If you want total control over the components, go to the CLX website where you can pick literally everything. If you don’t want that level of complexity and just want a gaming computer that works amazingly well out of the box with no hassle or tech knowledge required, buy this one.

This is a beautiful case that is well thought out with many nice features. For the most part it is well built. I bought it because I wanted to use the feature to change the glass panel from the right side of the case to the left side, and this case is well designed to do that.

It was not difficult to disassemble the case and transfer the motherboard tray to the opposite side. Reassembling it was another story. The only complaint I have is that the top of the case is poorly designed and very difficult to put back in place.

I worked for over a half hour just to put the top back on. I had to redo it, because the front panel buttons ended up withdrawn from the surface of the top. That took another fifteen minutes. I’ve seen others complain of the difficult fit of the top of the case.

My advice to anyone reversing the case is to look very carefully at how it fits when you are taking it apart, especially how the front of the top articulates with the main part of the case. It is difficult to get off and to get back on, and careful observation in removal will save you time and frustration.

The case is so nice otherwise that I’m giving it four stars despite the trouble with the top. This is a German case, so given the reputation of German engineering you’d think they could design a better fit for the top.

I previously owned a Corsair 500R and needed an upgrade. It had 3 120mm fans and was decent in the sound department. I can’t really tell a difference with this case. The 500R had a part metal, part acrylic side panel (I replaced the fan with it), and the HDD bays, which were not hidden by a psu shroud (because the case is too old for that) used plastic trays.

I think Be Quiet needs to try those plastic trays, because I had never heard my HDDs before and I hear them all the darn time now, even though they’re sitting on anti-vibration material. I don’t think the fans are any quieter either.

Although I *can* tell the difference between a 120mm Corsair fan and the 140mm silent wings 3 fan in the rear. I also want to point out that even though the case has a perfectly awesome mounting bracket for a top-mounted AIO, not only is the venting there not sufficient, but it’s been proven [Bitwit] that front-mounted AIO’s are better at cooling that top-mounted ones.

A Corsair H115i fits snugly in the front without having to remove that plastic shroud piece. You would even have room for a push-pull config there, although the fans partially block the HDD bracket removal pieces.

It’s perfect for cooling an overclocked Ryzen 5 3600 without needing a push-pull config, so the air being brought in from a pull config works perfectly fine through those side vents. You have to remember that the price of this case is not only due to quality materials/build and sound dampening materials, but is it built to be invert-able.

That is quite a bit of extra engineering to complete and you’re paying for the extra tooling involved in making that possible. Not very many cases can be built to do both, and that’s pretty amazing imo.

My primary use for this computer is listening to music on Spotify. Having worked in the Hi Fi music industry for the past 40 years I was able to accumulate a well matched mid fi audio system. I replaced a 6 year-old HP computer that sounded good, so I expected the TP01-2165z to sound better but it far exceeded my expectations.

I find myself hearing instruments I never heard before on recordings I’ve been listening to for the past 30 years. Truly amazing. I also use this to download CD’s onto USB sticks for my car stereo, an improvement in sound quality I find difficult to describe.

Other than music the computer works great for banking, shopping, and downloading documents. The only problem I’ve had is transferring documents from my old HP to my current one. I bought another HP computer because I like the sound quality, ease of use and I thought it would be easier to download documents and music from the old HP to the new one.

the software I used tells me that everything was downloaded properly, however when I try to access the documents it tells me I am not authorized to access them. When I click the icon to get access it brings up forms and menus that far exceed my knowledge of software or computer lingo.

The instructions were a bit confusing since it required you to follow them as if you and a team were putting it together and tilting it up. In my case, I attached a groundblind to the tops and had to lift it up with heavy machinery/forklift.

great construction, heavy duty. the one cable tie-down through the middle works. however, for a groundblind on top, I had to buy/add a couple extra cable tie downs with turnbuckles for adjustment, because of strong winds.

so far this season it’s very sturdy and solid.

The 4 star rating is all bout the hardware, not the platform itself. All the bolts, nuts, and washers were in one bag rather than separated a labeled. If the directions calls for specific size bolts at different stages of assembly, why are the bolts labeled and in separate bags? The directions call for 2-4 people to put this platform up and if safety is your number one concerns, follow the recommendations.

I assembled the platform on my deck with a tarp under it because there are no extra bolts/nuts/washers. if you drop one and can’t find it, you will have to find a replacement. Why can’t they put a few extra of each in the bag? The platform directions are simple and can be assembled by yourself, but a second person would make assembly faster.

Separating and labeling the different bolt lengths will speed things up and prevent you from having to go back and take pieces apart to get the correct size bolts in the proper places. I recommend attaching the guide wire to the bottom of the platform before you stand it up.

I attached all the legs and braces while the platform was on its side. I am 6′ tall and it was a stretch to reach some of the joints, so a ladder would be helpful. Once I had the platform assembled, I used my UTV winch to pull the platform up while pushing and supporting it from the backside.

Two or more people would been helpful here but it can be down withe a winch, just go slow. The platform is sturdy as well as the steps and rails on the way up. Leg adjustments are easy for leveling and can be done with just one person and a winch but two or more people helping you would make it a lot easier.

Bring a shovel so you are not constantly trying to level the legs. the braces and leg adjustments go in the same holes, so it can be quite frustrating if by yourself to get the bolts back in. Overall, great sturdy platform.

We left our platforms up after the season and just removed the landmark blind from its frame. No wasps, spiders or rats to deal with when setting them back up next season!.

I was on the fence on whether I should buy this case because of cost and no optical drive bays. While browsing the corsair forum someone had 5 bays mounted in this case and had tons of space left. This case shallows whatever you throw into it.

This case has excellent cooling fan support and radiator support. The 1000d has ample storage drive capability, and accommodation for a mini Itx board with a power switch on the rear to turn the second board on.

The 1000D accommodation of 2 power supplies make it the ultimate ultra tower or PC case period. CORSAIR COMMANDER PRO is installed and you can’t find that for less than 75-79. 00 dollars. Subtract the cost of the commander pro, ND this puts the cost of this case in the mid 400.

00 range. I challenge anyone to find a better case for the money. If you have the space just go for it. It will probably be the last case that you buy for years. This 1000D is built sturdy and if you handle it properly it will stand the test of time.

The biggest con for me is that it’s a challenge to move once it’s built, but I digress, it’s worth it just buy it.

With this case it’s pretty easy and straight-forward to install or take out components, as well as the case’s own modules and panels. I just started building a new custom computer with this case, with only one SSD, so I could just take out the blocky HDD trays with little hastle, so the front of the case has uninterrupted airflow.

The fans that come with the case feel nice and quiet too when I turned the computer on. There is one quirk I noticed with my case I ordered: the front panel’s top left latch will undo itself after a while from when I press it in, disturbing the flush look of the case’s front if I don’t continuously press it in.

I bought this because the Vampiric 010M was out of stock. I got the impression that this was a replacement item with a facelift, and would effectively be the same case. I was very wrong. First of all, the length of this case is shorter, so you will have to measure your graphics card to ensure it will fit.

Second, your space for hard drives is severely diminished because of the former point. Third, the build quality of this is of a much lesser standard than what I believe to be befitting of MSI cases. The framework is much softer, two out of the nine motherboard standoffs ended up ripping the threads from the case simply trying to screw the motherboard on.

This is particularly frustrating because you can’t simply unscrew your screw – it simply spins because the standoff isn’t gripping anything. So you end up with pliers on the other side to undo – at this point, you’ve effectively lost your standoff point as a place to secure your board.

Poor quality. This case has more in common with cases half its price. All in all, I am so utterly thankful that this case isn’t for me – this is a computer that I a building for someone else. If it was for me, it would be returned to the vender citing it to be defective due to the ripped threads on the standoff anchoring point.

For the same price, you can get a Fractal Design Focus G case – an utterly superb case which I severely regret not buying right now. Sorry MSI – I love your cases, but this one falls waaaaaay short of expection.

You have simply cut too many corners.

This is a stylish case and good value overall. The back of the pci cards is all a bit thin metal and so indeed is the case, the cut outs are not in a very good position compared to motherboard for cable management but there are plenty of cut outs.

The hard drive enclosure is also too close to the front so fitting three front fans is difficult. Be careful screwing anything in to the case- graphics cars and motherboard standoffs will bust. Now that mine is built though is does look good for 1/2 the price of other cases I was looking at.

first of all, this is a great budget case for the price, the design is nice sleek, clean and stylish. Grate air flow giving you low temperatures during hardcore gaming sessions. Overall a grate case to use.

Would strongly recommend to new buyers!.

A very compact computer that is a bit underwhelming as a CAD workstation – you can only put in a mediocre GPU with a 35W T-class CPU before the PSU start struggling – so you won’t be looking at a rendering beast or modelling an international airport in LOD500.

But that is entirely missing the point – this is not a Workstation. This is a 1 litre chassis that has – AMT management, – official Ubuntu support (if that helps procurement signing it off), – 2x SODIMM slots up to 2x32GB, – 2x PCI-E4 x4 NVMe bays, and – an internal PCI-E3 x8 Half height expansion bay allowing non-proprietary cards.

This combination of factors make the P350 Tiny fairly unique in the SERVER market. The flexibility the PCI-E slot makes this a very versatile edge solution – with a single 40GbE QSFP+ NIC like a MCX353A-QCBT you can have a low footprint on prem storage/SQL etc solution; with a small Quadro you can have a competent CUDA compute node; with a PCI-E capture card you can have a video capture station you can stick behind a VESA monitor.

The possibilities are endless. The only thing to consider is whether 11th Gen P350 warrants the higher price over its older siblings 10th Gen P340 and 8/9th Gen P330, which still offers everything listed above at a bargain price.

However if you are reading thisreview when Alder Lake P360 is already out – do have a think about those as the Efficiency cores might drastically improve the utility of a small node like this.

The system overall is a work of art, it’s amazing. The problem was the fact that I got a custom brand new system which took 2 months to come in, then when it came, 2/4 ram slots did not read anything.

I called premium support (signed up for 5 years) which they did a diagnosis and came to realize that the motherboard might be DOA. So, they send a NEW RAM to diagnosis. Tech came in the next day to diagnose, figured it was a dead motherboard, so the tech called lenovo to send in the motherboard.

I did get the motherboard on the next day in which lenovo sent out a tech after 1 day of the part arriving. problem was, the motherboard that the factory sent is again DOA. so they had to send out another motherboard, took another 2 days to get the tech.

fortunately the tech from peopletogo was amazing and accomodating, he installed the new motherboard and the PC was finally up and running! After being so excited, I started installing all the programs and all and yet again found that the microsoft office I have bought is a subscription and not a permanent license.

(when I bought my old lenovo t470p, the option for microsoft office on the first page of building your system was always permanent, now it’s not) So, be wary of what software you purchase!!! read them first because lenovo wont tell you it’s a subscription.

overall experience is terrible but like I said, the PC is a work of art. I am just overall sad.

While I would like this to be a more glowing review it cannot be yet. The P350 Tiny I received was packaged well and setup was easy. It is small and sleek looking if you want it on your desk, it can also be invisible mounted underneath it.

Unfortunately, that has been the only parts to go smoothly. We placed our first P350 Tiny Workstation order on 2/23 for overnight delivery. That order was delayed and then cancelled for “security concerns” on 2/27 and that top model was no longer available then.

Our 2nd attempt P350 Tiny Workstation ordered on 2/27 and arrived on 3/2. As of this writing on 3/13 it still will not boot to windows. Support has been slow to resolve the problem. The BIOS system checks all pass.

When turned on we receive an error stating Windows failed to install click ok to restart your computer and reinstall Windows. We received the same error fresh out of the box, using the recovery partition, and using the USB recovery media downloaded from the web site.

This has been very frustrating to date.

Context: initially ordered 90RS001GUS (Legion Tower 5i w GTX 1660) which was RMA’d, this review is for 90RB001TUS This computer is well priced for what you get. This was the second order of a Legion 5 tower, slightly different specs, not much difference in price: CPU from i7-11700 to ryzen 7 5700 G storage from 512 GB PCIe SSD to 1 TB GPU from GTX 1660 to RTX 3060 (12 GB) For $60 more.

The difference in CPU is negligible (benchmarks seem to be a toss up), the storage is a little better, and the GPU is a lot better. What isn’t mentioned in the listed specs is the improvement in CPU cooling.

The first Intel tower had a small cooler pushing air to the side (in the direction of the glass panel). The AMD tower has a larger cooler pushing air in the same direction as the case fans from front to back.

Based on temperature readings under load, the AMD tower is doing a much better job of cooling. Overall, an excellent computer and with the Black Friday sales, and excellent price. One star was removed for one glaring deficiency present in both the Intel and AMD tower: a lack of power cable for the 3.

5″ hard drive bays. Both towers have a hard drive bay with 2 slots for 3. 5″ HDD. Both towers have a SATA cable from the motherboard with free ends clearly for SATA data. Both towers were missing anything from the power supply to power additional HDDs.

If you look in the manual for both towers, adding HDDs should be as easy as putting a HDD in the bracket and then sliding it in. No mention of connecting any cables. This strongly implies the presence of a back plane in the bays with the SATA data and SATA power connectors.

Unfortunately, neither tower had connectors. The backs of the bays were just solid metal. The power supply of both only had one free connector: on the Intel it was a PCIE 6+2, the AMD a PCIE 8. The difference was that the Intel had the PCIE 8 connected to the GPU, while the AMD had the PCIE 6+2 connected to the GPU.

This that both Legion 5 Towers had 2 x 3. 5″ HDD bays, SATA data connectors to the motherboard, but no way to power either anything in the bays. I was a little reluctant to return the first Intel tower because it was such a good price, but decided it wasn’t worth the price if I needed to replace the power supply in order to add 3.

5″ HDDs. I am very glad that I did since the AMD tower is so much better. For only $60 more, the SSD drive is 500 GB more (current price for 1 TB NVME SSD is < $100) , the GPU is much better (value $100-$200 more), and the CPU cooler is much more robust.

Improving just the CPU cooler would have cost me most of the $60. I’ve installed a second SSD in the free M2 slot on the motherboard, with the understanding that when I choose to add a HDD that I will need to replace the power supply.

If not for this, it would have been easily a 5 star purchase.

While the system itself is great, there is one major design flaw that is, to me, a huge drawback. If your computer is located in your bedroom, be aware that even if you choose to turn off all lighting, the Legion logo automatically turns on and glows BRIGHT BLUE in sleep mode.

I contacted Lenovo support, and they confirmed it was, in fact “by design”. There is no way to toggle this option off in any way, shape, or form via either Lenovo Vantage nor bios. The purpose of said “feature” is to indicate that the system is still powered on in sleep mode, but the lit GPU (an option that also cannot be turned off, btw) serves the exact same purpose, and is inherently less intrusive to boot.

The only way to disable this baked-in setting will be to open up the case and physically disconnect the logo from the motherboard (which I am planning to do once I have the time). Because some people may not be bothered by this (or do not sleep in the same room as their computer), paired with the fact that the system itself is very solid, I did not detract too much from my overall score.

However, I would rate the system 3. 5 stars if I could, for the sheer hassle I’m going to have to go through just for my computer to be able to sleep in the same room I do. So, to summarize, Lenovo believes you may be too dumb to shake your mouse or tap your keyboard before immediately hitting the power button to check if the computer is powered on, and has helpfully added an BRIGHT BLUE BEACON to indicate that that is, in fact, the case.

Nevermind if you have to sleep in the same room as the computer, you need to be blasted with blue light all night while you’re trying to sleep. And you can not turn this option off; the only way to stop the glowing logo it is to disconnect it from the motherboard.

I will start by being honest, this is my first AMD build and shamefully I’m STILL not 100% positive about what that means exactly. I will say that in the past (recent & not so), i’ve owned tower + desktop, all in ones and laptops.

In comparison to any and all, this computer far exceeds not just my expectations but as well, my needs. As a designer, editor, creator and beyond – the speed at which this machine can process, render and execute is unmatched by those forementioned.

For reference, I use many (nearly all) programs by Adobe for photography, videography, illustration, graphic design, developing etc. I also use AutoCad and Corel software(s) and CNC machine software(s).

Not sure if that serves as “informative” for anyone reading this review but I myself have suffered for years- the aggravations and frustrations of app crashes, slow/lagging interface and beyond. However, since I’ve begun using this machine, I’ve yet to experience any of those problems that were kind of always considered “facts-of-life” pitfalls with computers (for me anyway).

some other things to mention that might be of consumer concern -the fans are super quiet -it stays cool (probably due in part to the mesh sides) -the one glass side adds to the sleekness and offers a nice view of the lighting phases -it has a fairly small footprint which allowed me to actually keep the tower up off the floor and rather on the desk next to my monitor and keyboard -it’s simple to get inside the machine but not so simple that one of my 3 toddlers can do so over-all it’s been for me, an absolute dream using this machine and YES, I have already recommended this computer to several people & will undoubtedly continue to do so.

Just to share some background? I also own a pair of the last generation 8040’s, i own focal aria 926, and focal utopia car audio kits. I absolutely love soundI purchased this set after attempting to grab some of the open box 9040’s but one being defective.

I returned the 9040’s to best buy and exchanged them for new 9060’s. I am happy to have made the upgrade. I live in a 600sq ft studio apartment in Downtown LA and the bass in these are definitely a music lovers dream esp when not wanting to pair a separate subwoofer.

When comparing them to the 8040’s i can tell you they have better definition across the entire frequency spectrum. They feature the exact same sound signature BUT with new and improved levels of clarity.

The subsonic filter on the subwoofers has been lowered for sure. And this was the same even with the 9040 from what i did get to hear of that speaker. The only thing i dont really love is that the cloth speaker covers cant be removed as easily as the 8000 series.

In the 8040’s it’s relatively easy to remove the passive radiators and add weights to lower their tuning. But other than that i love this speaker. Its not a focal aria but it is an amazing home theater and music speaker for those without space for a separate subwoofer.

The soundstage is wide thanks to the bipolar design but the imaging is what stops this from being a focal aria. But for half the $ its worth it.

I have had my BP9060’s for about two weeks, and took my time breaking them in. I’m totally please with the overall performance of the towers. I’m a smooth jazz, R&B, Disco, and 70’s Rock guy! 🙂 The 9060’s plays all the music genre to absolute satisfaction.

When I added the 9040 Center Speaker, boy did the total system shine! I’m coming from playing Bose 701’s Series II speakers, so I guess I wasn’t use to hearing the music like it was supposed to be. 🙂 I understand I haven’t really given a technical evaluation of the front speakers/center and I won’t.

I just know that my entire listen experience has been 5x’s better since obtaining these speakers. Movies are a real thrill to watch now, I am going thru my Blu-ray collection re-watching movies because it’s an entirely different experience now! My biggest dilemma now is do I keep the 9060’s and the CS9040 upstairs in my family room or do buy another set and replace my existing speakers in my Man-Cave? (Don’t ask what I have running in my Man-Cave) 🙂 If you are on the fence about purchasing the BP9060, in my humble opinion don’t be, I’m just a regular guy who loves music and watching movies, and I’m mad I didn’t pull the pin earlier for these speakers, they are FANTASTIC.

I’m having so much fun, why did I wait so long!???? (OK I repeating myself) :-).

Do not buy definitive technology active speakers. I had to learn the hard way. They use low end parts in their amplifiers for their subwoofers in their active speakers like the BP9060. One of my subs stopped working at 10 months use.

Luckily their customer service helped me trouble shoot the problem and they are sending me a new subwoofer amp for free. However, after it broke yesterday, I found many articles on reddit and other sites about this being a common problem with Def Tech active speakers.

I also have a pair of Paradigm Monitors for 15 years and they are still sounding good. I had a velodyne minivee that lasted 12 years. I expect to get at least 10 years from a subwoofer amp not 10 months.

I recommend to NOT purchase tower speakers with an active subwoofer.

I love this All-In-One Thinkcentre as I do graphic design and was definitely getting tired of trying to do home-based work on a laptop screen. This is a great system. However, I would have given this review 5-stars but for one experience that made getting the system set up a great difficulty.

When I was ordering it I did NOT realize I had to specify wanting a wi-fi adapter installed on it. I just assumed the capability came with it as the specifications do not make it obviously clear to the buyer.

So, it could not pick-up my wi-fi signal to connect to the internet, which caused me a nightmare of trying to determine why. I tried different wireless routers to pick up a signal and resorted to hooking it up directly to my living room router via an ethernet cable.

Definitely not what I wanted to do since my home office is another room of my house and I was not going to have cables and extentions running down the floor of my hallway to get the internet. After finally determining that there was no wi-fi capability in the system AT ALL I bought a wireless adapter add-on that plugs into a USB port on the back of the monitor.

That worked perfectly and I was able to set up my home office. So my one complaint is that Lenovo should make it VERY clear that a buyer needs to specify the wi-fi capability installed or they will need an add-on piece of hardware.

To the average person who may not be so “tech-savvy” they may easily overlook this detail when ordering. I’m enjoying the system now and love it.

We generally install the m75q’s in business because of their extremely tiny form factor. However in several instances this m75s seems to be a better fit. We have several clients that still need and use DVD drives and having the ability to add additional peripherals internally is important for others.

Having the additional memory slots is also a huge Plus for some of our power users who use 64 or 128 gigs of RAM. Overall we have been very satisfied with these units, and the AMD processor and graphics combo works perfectly for our Adobe using clients as well.

It seems to work fine with InDesign as well as illustrator. I would recommend these for any business deployments where you need a lot of power in a small form factor.

As a healthcare provider, it’s important that staff record information as easily & quickly as possible, before anything is forgotten. These computers are wall-mounted near where the tasks are being done, allowing nursing staff to document all procedures easily.

Lenovo makes one of the best touch-screen computers on the market! Not all touch-screen computers boot successfully without a keyboard plugged in – this one does! Many touch-screen computers generate an error during boot indicating no keyboard is detected, need to press F1 to continue.

This is totally unacceptable in our environment. Lenovo solves this problem for us! Have used Lenovo as kiosks for at least 10 years.

I don’t not recommend this computer was the worse I have ever purchase, I return it. it has nothing like wifi, hdmi. and when i check the memory are so expensive about $379. 00 each. you would need to buy everything separate.

this computer doesn’t come with nothing that is so important in a computer. it was made for you to spend a lot of money by buying the pieces separately.

I bought the Dell 3240 computer because my current computer was not handling the 4K IP cameras on my security system that I have been adding. I plan on adding more 4K cameras in the future. I am happy to report that the Dell 3240 workstation is handling my 4k security cameras with ease.

My CPU rate is around 7% on average with the Dell. On my previous computer it would get up to the 90 to 100% range. This is also my general use computer. Needless to say I am very happy with this purchase.

Five stars for out-of-the-box performance and ease of adding hard disk(s). One star lost because you really, really need to be careful adding third-party memory. Better to pay the overhead for Dell memory sticks.

Otherwise, the thing is a real barn burner.

I did a lot of research for a good tower and this one works very well; sturdy and well-built, doesn’t tip and feels secure. I am 6’1″/170 lbs. The problem is the instructions as of 12/24/21 are incorrect and you won’t figure that out until the very end and will have to switch the two main upright pieces to make the pull-up bar fit properly.

In the instructions the diagram is very clear, but the two main uprights are reversed. This can be deduced logically because when you have your back to the backrest, the main upright piece cant out slightly to the left and right.

This means that the holes for the pull-up bar must be deeper on the inside and shallower on the outside in order to attach the bar correctly. Therefore if you assemble according to the instructions, the pull-up bar will not fit correctly and you will have to switch the main upright pieces.

This is a pain; you’re thinking that you’re getting to the end of the assembly and then surprise, you got another forty minutes to switch the uprights. I put this together alone, but the parts are heavy and awkward, so maybe some help would be good.

I cannot say whether all the instructions are incorrect or main uprights are mislabeled, but mine were and others have also pointed this out. Some have damaged the pull-up bar trying to make it fit. Flip the uprights and it fits perfectly.

Using to replace a Lenovo T530 that was a desktop with a docking station. Very small footprint. So far so good. Fast and stable. Not a lot of bloatware, but I still immediately reinstalled a clean version of Windows.

Unit has lots of ports, but wish there was a USB-C on the rear to connect to a permanent docking station. Ports are close together so you’ll still likely need a mount or a docking station to keep the footprint small without tons of cables coming out of it.

Also, because ports are so close together, can’t use angle adapters really. It did NOT come with the vertical stand — wish it would’ve. Unit is very quiet. Fan doesn’t run until you do something with encryption.

Stays very cool as well, but I’m not running CPU intensive apps — just want normal business apps to be stable and fast. I think the price was fair given the power, number of cores, separate video card with multiple monitor drivers.

All in all, a good unit. Recommended — so far.

First major issue: At no point during the entire purchase process, including almost an hour of back and forth with a customer rep, did anything even suggest that in order to connect that tower with the screen I had it with in my cart I needed to purchase an additional cable.

I did get a small discount after receiving my order and telling them their website had failed to mention that small detail and I couldn’t use my purchase until l got that cable, but that discount actually was the amount they have a pop up promise you every 5min “if you contact a rep during your purchase” and that they had not given me during said purchase.

Second, huge issue: Nobody on this site is able to answer any question on upgrading the memory of that thing. The chat on the sales page sent me to the tech page where they have no available support for “that kind of product” (i.

e. workstations), and after more digging I ended up finding a tech chat where they told me they had no idea and I had to talk to sales. After looking it up for a couple of days I am closer to figuring out the ram modules I need to buy, but be aware that you are 100% on your own to upgrade a machine that is sold as “easily expandable”.

Finally, a smaller detail: I made sure to not include any of the additional software they were trying to shove down my throat, yet it came with some of it that I had to spend a day manually removing cleanly.

Besides these hitches, it is a solid choice. Not “high performance” by any means in early 2022, but very solid.

When I say good for casual gamers, I don’t mean that this PC doesn’t have the chops to play the latest AAA titles at 60FPS. It definitely can! The 5700G processor is quite capable and powerful with a bonus of integrated Vega graphics.

The GPU, an RTX3060, is still in the current gen and thanks to CES is now no longer the entry level card in NVIDIA’s lineup. That’s now the 3050. Lenovo installed 16GB RAM correctly in Dual Channel configuration and it is upgradeable to 128GB thanks to the 4 channels on the motherboard (more on that later……) 512GB SSD and 1TB HDD means you won’t run out of storage immediately.

The case is mesh, with two 120MM fans pulling in air, a 120MM CPU Cooler, and a 120MM exhaust. This all amounts to a quiet, cool temp gaming experience. So why does this only meet the casual gamer criteria? Well, simply put, the upgrade potential is still somewhat limited in the most basic area: RAM speed and over locking potential.

The motherboard claims to support RAM of 3200, but the BIOS and lack of XMP/AMP support means no RAM, stock or upgrade will reach those speeds. An enthusiasts off the shelf board would enable this, but by upgrading that you void your warranty, since the Lenovo vantage software (which manages your BIOS, RGB, CPU power management, etc.

is not present on any off the shelf ATX board. The case uses standard ATX mounts, so of course you could physically fit the new motherboard in, but it’s not a Lenovo Legion PC at that point really. So if you are willing to accept that the motherboard will always be a bottleneck for your CPU and RAM due to lack of overclocking support, what can you upgrade? 1.

RAM (with aforementioned limited returns) 2. CPU cooler (if you prefer all in one liquid cooling) 3. More case fans 4. Additional storage drives 5. The power supply (though the FSP unit onboard is 80+ Gold rated and will last a while) 6.

The GPU (if you can find one at a good price), which is a Lenovo card produced to NVIDIA’s spec. To many users, who just want a personal computer that just works for them for a couple years to play the latest games at 1080p and also have the chops to meet all the basic web browsing, video streaming, productivity tasks, go for it.

It’s a great machine that’s up to the task. If, like me, you’re forced into pre-built PCs by this market but want something that’ll give you limitless potential to get into the DIY PC game, this isn’t it.

But it could be a good PC to try it out in the areas I described. Just don’t expect it to do what Lenovo doesn’t intend it to do.

Here’s my thoughts after owning this beast for 24 hours: Ordered the Legion Tower 7i on Saturday the 21st, it shipped out of Pennsylvania and was here in the Bay Area, CA by Friday the 26th, super quick shipping! Unfortunately when it arrived the packaging did have a good bit of damage to it but that’s UPS’s fault not Lenovo.

I was worried about the tower but it seems to be alright other than a scratch to the top of it which i already cleaned up! Upon startup you have a super clean computer running Windows 11 and absolutely no junk that needs removing.

The Legion Tower 7i starts up really quickly and makes virtually no noise. The AIO liquid cooling system as well as the ventilation for this pre-built is masterfully done and the chassis itself is amazing as well and one of the main reasons I went with the Legion.

Gaming wise the Legion Tower is up there as one of the pound-for-pound best pre-builts when it comes to value for specs. The GeForce RTX 3070 will have you running any game you want flawlessly and the Lenovo Vantage allows you to overclock if necessary to get that little extra.

I plan to upgrade the RAM within the next few weeks and once I do I probably wont be upgrading anything else on this PC for a few years, that alone should speak to how solid this pre-built is. If I had to have a complaint my only one would be that I reached out to Lenovo customer support asking if my order was going to come with a mouse+keyboard upon delivery and after giving them my order # i was told that it would not so I paid extra money for overnight shipping so that a mouse+keyboard would arrive the same day my Legion Tower did, and then of course upon unboxing I found that it did come with a mouse+keyboard.

Mistakes happen though so its no big deal! Overall I couldn’t recommend this pre-built enough, Lenovo did a great job with the Legion Tower 7i. I’ll be updating my review after 6 months but im pretty confident i’ll still be loving it by then.

So pleased to finally manage to snag one of these Legion towers. I had an older Dell tower running on an HDD that got to the point of needing up to ten minutes to load the desktop, with Windows’ Task Manager frequently showing 100% CPU and/or disk use for a large portion of that time.

It was frustrating and the computer lagged a lot when using apps like Discord or sites like Twitch. Roughly five weeks into using my Legion, I can say that’s not the case here. Windows loads in under 15 seconds and, if the computer’s updating, it still boots up in less than a minute.

The tower itself has stayed relatively cool and quiet while running, especially compared to my ThinkPad laptop. Sites that previously chugged for me (YouTube, Twitch, etc. ) work great with the Legion.

I can consistently maintain 1080p 60 FPS quality when viewing livestreams. It’s a delightful change of pace. Gaming wise, Legion has definitely delivered so far. I have a DPS connection through the RTX 3070 to a Lenovo monitor, which has been crisp and responsive.

Thanks to the included Xbox Game Pass subscription, I’ve been able to try out a number of games I never would’ve looked at otherwise. My favorite so far is Psychonauts 2, which has run with unlimited FPS without any signs of lag or screen tearing while only needing a few seconds to load new areas.

Likewise, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, which failed to run above 20 FPS on my old Dell, is buttery smooth. A second, older monitor is connected via HDMI, but so far the Legion has shown no signs of struggling to balance the two displays.

There’s a clear difference in brightness, but that comes down to the different connections. Maybe I’ll look into a second DPI monitor in the future. The one gripe I have is that there does not appear to be a slot for SD or microSD cards.

So I can’t pull photos off my camera or Switch’s microSD without some sort of USB adapter. I would encourage Lenovo to try and bring an SD slot back for future iterations of the Legion tower. Overall, however, I’m satisfied with the purchase.
