20 Best Toy Hauler Tires (2022 Updated)

I needed to replace the 3 tires on my 17 ft I/O boat trailer. The old tires and the spare were old, splitting and dry rotted. I saw these tires on sale at Walmart. com and they were also the best priced tires that I found online.

There was free shipping and mounting, so I went for it. These tires appear to be very well made. Manufacture date was recent, side walls seem designed and strong enough to hold the weight of my boat and trailer, and the treads are deep.

Tires are slightly more narrow than my old tires, but I have no issues with that. Shipping was fast and it took maybe an hour for the local Walmart to install them on my rims. I have since pulled the trailer a few miles to the local dock and back with no issues.

I keep the boat within a 75 mile radius or less of home and I think these tires will hold up just fine for my needs. These in my opinion, are a good inexpensive trailer tire and would not hesitate to buy again.

Price was very good so I took a chance. These tires have deep tread, are excellent quality and had no blems. Much Better than Expected! The pair had matching date codes only a couple months old. Mounted up to rims very easily.

I’m very satisfied! Worth double the money!.

Walmart description states the selected tire is 8-ply. Tire is actually is actually 6-ply (4 plies on tread, 2 plies on sidewall). Contacted Travelstar’s parent company prior to purchase and they told me this tire is manufactured in Thailand.

wrong again. they are made in China. On my way to my local Walmart to return. Another week lost of my project thanks to Walmart’s lack of attention to detail.

I am preparing to purchase my third set of these tires as I think they perform quite well for the price. I have a set on my 2001 Tacoma that I use for hauling light loads and pulling a small camper and they have performed well for this purpose.

The second set I have on my 2017 Camry XSE. These are low profile and they handle well with a quiet and smooth ride. Since I’m so satisfied with these two sets I’m ordering a third set for my Impala.

I have many thousands of miles on these tires and think they are great. If you want a good performing, quiet tire at a reasonable price then I recommend these. Most of the negative reviews are nonsensical and some complaining about delivery times which have nothing to do with the tire performance.

The only reason I gave this 1 star is because there wasn’t a way to give a ZERO. I have had nothing but problems since I purchased them. All 4. I have already had to replace the front left tire and now the front right tire is going bad.

There was a 1 year warranty on it and I called just slightly under one year and they never sold me the tires with an odometer reading to show that I never drive because I work from home since 2014 and then Covid hit so I haven’t been out since March 10.

I had to find a friend to take it to Discount Tire because the bays are or were closed at Walmart and they ended up selling me another tire. I highly suggest you don’t even think about buying these tires.

Now I have to find someone to take my car back to Discount Tire (as I am a Senior w/underlying conditions and don’t go out) to fix my 2nd FAULTY TIRE. If you never listen to another thing in your life Please listen to this DO NOT BUY THESE TIRES.

The tires themselves? How would I know? I just had them installed. I’ve had Solarus tires before and was very satisfied. Installation? Now, that’s a different animal. One of my pressure sensors was bent and the technician or Auto Manager wanted to blame it on a previous installation.

This was the first tire replacement on a new vehicle. It is now intermittently coming on since installation. But (and this is a big BUT), I believe it is from tire expansion during heat up on long trips, due to too much pressure in one of the tires.

I will verify this very shortly. The only other conclusion would be the damaged sensor. The fact Walmart is willing to change it if the sensor is, in fact, damaged, is the only reason for the 3 star rating.

I got a flat tire on our trailer while going down the road. Pulled over, unhooked the trailer, went home to get tools, then to Harbor Freight for a new tire. As it turned out, they were out of stock of the correct tire for my trailer (4.

80-12), but they did have 2 of these 4. 80-8 in stock. These tiers were the same width and lug pattern, so I decided to give them a try. When I got back to the trailer I was greatly relieved to find that the lug holes lined up exactly and it slipped right on.

I changed both tires to these 8″ ones because I didn’t think it would be good to have 2 different sizes on one axel, and I was able to make it the 7 miles home. No questions asked when I returned them after receiving the right size tires for my trailer from Amazon.

I have a homemade 4’x8’, dump trailer. Got these a couple weeks ago, already had a couple full trailer loads of firewood. Drove in total about 35 miles per load, and a 2 mile rocky trail to the camp site.

They did a great job, tires didn’t get too hot, and survived about 3 trips and the drive home. Very surprised at the quality and durability for the money. Very much recommend these for light trailers.

There is a slight, more visual thing that annoyed me however, the finish on the paint of the wheels is poor quality, a couple runs and the paint came off after torquing the lug studs, just my pinch of advice to advance the quality.

Anyhow, you can’t beat the price!.

I purchased these tires to replace the original tires on my light duty foldable trailer. They did a great job right away. We’ll see about durability. Trailer is kept outside in the sun most of the time so I will probably find a way to cover the tires to prevent checking.

Use the trailer for hauling my motorcycle. These light dity replacement tires did the job.

Tires are exactly what I wanted. They were delivered EXTREMELY fast and all came undamaged. I will be installing this weekend, but I’m not concerned with reviewing the tires. I’ve already run the Goodyears and they are top notch.

I recently purchased a used trailer and the first thing I noticed was the tires on the right side were worn unevenly on the inside of the tire, badly, like bald on the inside and normal tread on the outside of the tire.

The trailer had the same brand tire all around. The worn set on the right were date stamped 2021 and the set on the left, which appear to be fairly new and wearing normally, so far, are date stamped 2022.

Being I recently purchased the trailer, I don’t know how many miles were on the left or right set of tires. I bought the set (3 runners and 2 spare) of Transeagle tire to replace the worn set on the right side.

I’m running these tires a 50′ trip axel race trailer that weighs in at 18,000 lbs fully loaded. After getting the new Transeagles on the trailer, I took it over to our local trailer repair shop and asked them to check the alignment of the axels.

I was informed that with torsion suspension axles, there is no alignment to be done, they are bolted in place with no adjustment available. If the trailer had been run overloaded, I would expect to see the same wear on each side.

My trailer expert said he has seen this before and it usually turns out to be a “bad set of tires”. Really? Well, OK then. Now that I have a new set of identical size and load rating (G) set of Transeagles on one side of my trailer and what appears to be a new set of competitive tires on the left side I will be able to compare ride and wear performance.

On that note, I did have the opportunity to pull the trailer 12K lbs load 500 miles from Flagstaff to Tucson and back on a turn and burn and I did seem to think the Transeagles run a little cooler through the desert on a non-scientific hand touch test (all wheel bearings recently inspected, tested and re -greased).

Oh, and did I mention the Transeagles were $50 cheaper per tire than the closest competitive option? Did I also mention I had the tires within 4 days and with FREE shipping? I’m putting A LOT of trust into these tires with a $400K total investment riding on top of them.

We should be putting around 20K miles per year on these tires so I should know how they perform compared to the competitive options on the other side within the next 12 months. I know what you’re thinking, with that kind of investment and travel, why not just go with a name brand tire, when you’re running in the Ultra4 off-road race circuit, every penny counts.

I have these on another trailer that hauls stone and scrap steel. They hold up very well, ride well, and are stable going down the road. I have had bad luck with lower cost tires failing, always at a bad time.

Low cost tires will cost you more when they fail and you lose control or when they destroy your fenders.

235 85 R16 G All Steel Radial Trailer Tire M speed rated QUICK delivery. Excellent Price. This is the third time I have purchased this brand and size of tire. Have some on my 5th wheel RV for a couple of years, no problems.

Just installed 4 on my 14k lb. goose neck. They run very cool, track real nice, balance out good. Jury is still out on how long they will last. Never found a good heavy duty trailer tire no matter the price or where it was made.

These are reasonably priced and appear to be quality so far. Have 10,000 highway miles on the RV set. and about 1500 on the most recent set. Will buy more for my other trailers if they continue to provide good service.

So far, so good! This is a replacement tire for a toy hauler. It it tougher than the standard tire that came on the trailer and feels quite beefy, but really only time will tell, right?

Too early to evaluate since they’re not on the road yet. However, this whole process of ordering and receiving these tires has been according to script. These tires are going onto a vintage Airstream camper that I am refurbishing.

The tires arrived at the Walmart store in Florence AL. I picked them up but was in the process of cleaning, sanding and repainting the wheels. Days later Walmart did indeed mount all 4 tires for free.

Just they said they would. A special shout out to Randy in the service department; courteous, efficient and professional!.

Best value on 205/75/15 trailer tire. Have purchased 3 of these for my trailer and havent had a single issue. They are nice and quiet too.

I put these on my boat trailer. Boat and it’s contents weigh about 1800#. Recently took a 450 mile round trip vacation. All is well with a smooth ride and even wear. I did balance them before installation.

Works great so far! Fast delivery right to store, brought old tire and rim. Walmart changed them out real quick while I shopped. Been on two 32 miles round trip and works perfect. I may have bought wrong load range, should’ve been D, so watching for any problems.

Appears to be a good tire at a reasonable price. Just put the tire on in preparation for a 600 mile trip so can’t really speak much about it yet, will see how it performs in a few days! Only reason for 4 stars is it doesn’t appear to have quite as wide of tread pattern as the same size tire on the other side but it’s also a different brand so guess that can be expected.

But I can say communication and shipping times were excellent!.

The tires on my boat trailer failed completely after less than 2,000 miles. I purchased the Transeagle tires after reading reviews. I have had them a month and have not trailered my boat. They look good but at this point I can’t rate their quality.

Good value tire, I used these on a crown Vic police interceptor and kept PSI at 38 in summer and 35 in the winter. I didn’t rotate them as frequently as I should have but still got close to 60k miles from them.

I replace tires pretty early also, so they most likely had another 10k-15k left in lifespan. I still have 2 in the trunk for spares now. They are slightly stiff riding tires, but I prefer that over a sloppy squishy ride.

For the price I paid I can’t complain. They have gone up quite a bit since I purchased them, everything has. The rain performance is top of the line for an all season tire, I never had a hydroplane in these tires, not even one time, and I drive the interstate in downpours frequently.

I bought these tires for my 2006 Toyota RAV4 3. 5 V6 4WD. The day I had them installed, it was raining hard. I decided to take a drive on the highway, after installation, and going 70mph – not a hitch.

Tires had excellent grip. Being a division of Hercules Tires, which is also made by Cooper Tires, hey, I said, why not? Excellent price, very good treadwear, and quieter than my previous set of tires, I couldn’t go wrong.

I was right. Then on the 3rd week of December, it snowed hard on a Wednesday, but hey, these tires stuck pretty well. I’m just very impressed, all things considered. These tires live up to the name. Highly recommended.

Normally, I purchase tires with way higher tread life numbers, but I think these will be just fine for the two cars in my fleet that do not travel very far. I made the mistake of purchasing touring tires for my Lancer and Mustang, and then their annual mileage dropped to below 3000 miles each.

The tires were cracking before I could even wear them out. So I was looking for a good value, and found both Tire Buyer and these Ironman GR906(s). They are quiet, and smooth riding, heck even my wife noticed this and she it NOT a car person.

Since they’re working out for her 2009 Lancer, I think I’m going to get them for my 2007 Mustang, which is now just my hobby car. I’ll likely still get a better touring or GT tire for my 2016 Civic, which is daily driven much further.

These GR906(s) are great in the rain, and while I haven’t really pushed them in the windy-twisties, they seem to have a decent grip for my wife’s purposes, and likely my geriatric Mustang’s purposes too! Good tire for the (very little) money! A note on my ratings below: The jury is still out on winter traction, so I gave all these scores a 3.

We haven’t really had any real winter weather yet since I bought them, but their other positive reviews in this regard is why I chose them.

Good tires seems that every time I purchase a tire this site its late or not good and they had to refund or upsell to more expensive brand they did match up price though and give millitary personel a discount.

I bought 4 of these tires at one time around three years ago and had them installed on my equipment trailer. they made a couple of trips to Florida and back. Parked the trailer for a couple of years then made another trip to Florida.

that’s when they one after another began deforming and separating. I promise you I ran full pressure. three of them we’re coming apart and the fourth one was wearing unusually fast and on one Edge. I contacted Carlisle and O’Shucks, they only wanted them for two years regardless a remaining tread depth.

please do not put these on anything that you want to keep the fenders. the picture show Almost 9/32 of rubber remaining.

I chose this tire to replace a bias ply spare on my boat trailer. This will make all 3 tires match (all radial ply tires). It’s new, just a few miles, so I can’t add much until I have more miles on it.

I bought these 5. 30X12 rim/tire combo from tractor supply as an upgrade to the 4. 80X8 that I was running on my little 4×8 trailer I use to haul garbage to the dump. These tires are still brand new as far as tread is concerned.

They hold more weight than the 4. 80s, about 500 extra lbs, and are smooth on the road. When the trailer sits for awhile, they don’t get that flat spot. Overall a good buy.

Excellent, holds air, fits our TSC trailer. Beefier than the original tires, which is good for what we use the trailer for. Purchased one in store as a spare and a second online when we realized we wanted those to be the primary tires.

This tire, never overloaded, or taken over 55, lasted all of about 600 miles before the tread was completely warn off. Got me out of a jam, but left with a horribly powder coated wheel (maybe just painted?) That is in the running for the world’s largest paper weight!.

I replaced my “no name” travel trailer tires due to serious concerns about their quality. I wanted to go with tires made by a reputable company at the very least. My choices ended up being Maxxis, Carlisle, Goodyear and now recently these Hankooks.

While still being made in China the quality is there. Another big plus for me is the ‘N’ speed rating. Overall I can’t say too much as I’ve driven about 1000km on them in dry summer weather. So far they are doing rather well.

They handle well and absorb Provincial Park road bumps well. The Vantras appear to ride a little softer than my old tires at the same pressure. The ratings the site hear gives are more for vehicle tires not trailers so, for example, I have no idea how they would handle in the snow.

As for canadawheels. They shipped quickly and I received the tires in good order. Would do business with them again.

So far so good! Tires arrived ahead of schedule. Had the tires mounted and balanced and they are now on my Airstream trailer. I bought these to replace a set of Goodyear Endurance trailer tires (OEM tires) that came on my 2020 Airstream 30RBT Globetrotter.
