20 Best Toy Story Toys (2022 Updated)

I bought this Disney Pixar Toy Story Benson and Woody figure 2 pack online after my 4 year old son seen it in the store. He fell in love with it and wanted it, but being $30 I decided to make it a Christmas present.

I went online and they had it there. I bought a couple other things to get free shipping and it came pretty quick. He is going to LOVE it and be super happy when he opens it. So far from what I could feel it seems well made.

Benson is a nice size, bigger then Woody. You could make Benson’s mouth move fairly easy. My son tried it in the store and had no problem with it. This is the only thing my son says he wants when asked what he’s going to ask santa for.

I can’t wait for him to open it Christmas day.

I wasn’t sure about this one but it was actually very good forthe price and it is perfect for our collection! I just wish they had one with gabby gabby! But other than that perfect my son loved it!

The price is a steal for getting these two as a set. My son asked for these for so long and “Santa†brought them and his eyes lit up when he saw them! Most Toy Story toys are pretty decent!

We have been play with this toy for a few weeks now and both my son and daughter love it, the size is perfect for imaginary play and it’s similar size to other toys they have. The sound is just like the character in the film and it has so many popular phrases that we have all been coping.

The accessories are cool and fit the item great. The overall feel of the material is soft but feels durable which is a must when it’s getting flung around the living room. We have loved playing with this and think it will be a popular choice as it’s such a great character.

Great quality product, very authentic feel as to what you’d expect when watching the films. Only disappointment is the voice inside. It doesn’t sound like the real Tom Hanks. Also there is an odd sound before each voice recording which sounds like radio interference.

Guessing this is mean to sound like an old tv being tuned? Think it would be better without. All in all, I would prefer to buy the original version of the doll for my children.

I wasn’t sure if my son would play with him since he hasn’t seen the movie, just knew of the characters. When it arrived he was so excited. He slept with him and carried him everywhere. He is rough with things so I was worried about the pull string but it’s held up.

Woody himself looks to be made well. He says a lot of sayings many that I recognize from the movie. I am going to be looking into buying other characters.

It’s great that he is poseable and can stand up in his own. At first, the joints were a little tight but necessary to be snug to hold position as well as it does. This is the first Woody doll my kids have had.

They have Jessie and were so excited she has her friend now. His hat fits very well, as my daughter says in her video. Overall very pleased with this version of Woody. Oh, also I’m impressed with how great he looks and so similar to the actual movie.

His face is very movie realistic.

Woodie is an Icon from toy story ever since the first movie came out he is been a friend and this new one is not the exeption the detail is exellent made of hard plastic with articulations now you can play him in a lot of different positions something with the cloth one you couldn’t do Im really happy with this new version mattel is making things a lot better now I’m really exited to add this to my collection of toy story and can’t wait for the Jessie and Buz to come out too to get the trio complete I hope my review helps people to decide when it comes out to get it.

It was perfect! Also it came a week earlier! Thank you so much! it has a durable material. The only thing is her voice doesn’t sound the same as he movie, and her staff was a little too tall, and it was hard for her to hold.

Felt expensive. The whole doll is hard plastic. Voice is soft but hard to hear. Dolls feet are small and her body wide so she doesn’t stand very well. Her stick doesn’t help with balance. Really a meh purchase but I wanted a full set and the cheaper no peeps were even less appealing than this one.

Her overall size is good when compared to the other $20-$30 toys from the movie.

Expensive for what it does. Very limited with the dialogue. I doubt any kid it going to enjoy it after a short time (most kids get bored quickly anyways!). But I’m sure they could have added more sentences.

Possibly added sheep to it or another toy to make it worthwhile.

This Woody toy will delight any Toy Story lover. The workmanship and details are good quality and my children have enjoyed playing with it. The joints are a bit stiff, but I don’t know if that is an advantage or disadvantage.

The figure holds its poses better, but it a little harder for small children to pose. My children like that his hat is removable.

I received this product free as part of the play, rate, review program. My kids love the toy story series and this Woody action figure is amazing. Its a full size action figure not one of the smaller versions.

Its well constructed to withstand a lot of play. It definitely helped inspire creative play with my children.

My son is a huge toy story fan and naturally loves Woody, so of course he was excited to see one come in the mail. Very durable to withstand a four year old. He did tell me a few times that he wished it came with more accessories, which I think would be cool if there was a lasso of some sort or a loose boot that had a snake in it.

Toy came with good attention to detail compared to the movie version.

So we brought woody home on January 17 2016 and today is February 10 and it’s been about a week already since he hasn’t worked. 🙁 I tried to change the batteries and nothing. So that’s a big 👎🏽for me.

He very durable since he is cloth and plastic and not many breakable parts. But I would of thought they would of made that voice box to last longer than it last me. My son loves him and plays with him but not as much as he did when he actually worked.

I tried to exchange it but since I did t have the box or receipt I was unable to ☹️.

this doll has manufacture problems the sound box stops working after week and a half. DISNEY WONT BACK THERE PRODUCT. Purchased this for my Toy Story 4 obsessed 6 yr old. He loves it. Well made. Variety of things to say via pull string, even sings a song. Very happy with the purchase.

I recently gave the Disney Pixar Toy Story Mr. Potato Head Spud Lightyear toy to my 2 year old nephew and he loves it! Any child who loves Toy Story will love this toy! The quality is great. The Spud Lightyear is just like a traditional potato head toy but with awesome Buzz Lightyear features.

The pieces are easy to remove and place in different spots. I would recommend this toy!.

The sweetest and funniest toy ever! My grandson just turned 2 and loves anything Toy Story. He has some other characters but dress up Potato Head Buzz he literally laughed out loud when he saw it. I love that is is very well put together, no sharp edges and colorful plus easy to clean.

Definitely recommend to all Toy Story and Mr Potato Head lovers everywhere.

I have twin sons that love Toy Story. When I gave them Spud Lightyear they thought it was the funniest (and coolest) thing ever. The arms were a little stiff to get in at first, but loosened up quickly to the point where they stayed firmly in, but could be taken in and out easily.

I’ve even played with Spud Lightyear a bit because the kid in me will always love Toy Story and Mr. Potato Heads.

He was just as I hoped. Looked like woody but the voice does not sound like woody. There are a lot of sayings. My grandson loves it. We haven’t had any issues with the pull string. The hat falls off easily so we just leave it off.

Have had no problems with paint coming off. I am very happy with my purchase of this doll.

Got this for my son because he has Buzz and didn’t have Woody yet. I was trying to find a Woody with “Andy” on the bottom of his boot. This one has nothing on the bottom. Small detail that’s not there but who cares.

He LOVES his Woody!.

This toy is so amazing. It has so many cool features. There’s 2 modes – Space Ranger or Toy, making it very realistic. With the wings out, he makes flying sounds (my Buzz 25 years ago didn’t do that!).

My daughter loves Buzz and this is now her new best friend. Highly recommend.

Box was taped with scotch tape all over and box was beat up and buttons worked half the time and toy was dirty! Obviously was returned and then just sent out in another box! Very disappointed. I was looking for my baby’s birthday present and now he won’t get it in time.

Very frustrating to spend so much for what i received.

We owned the original Buzz, was a much sturdier toy aimed at young kids. Even though it talked etc, did not have some of the bells n whistles this one has. Yes, if given to a younger child, I could see it breaking.

I bought it to complete my trio. we have the original Woody, and I found an original Jessie at a Flee market this summer, and bought it! Sure wish I could find our original Buzz to go along with them.

Buzz Lightyear to the rescue! He says a bunch of stuff and his arms and legs bend at the joints. No wings or helmet but my son hasn’t complained. My kids break things FAST and this guy is doing fine so it’s pretty decently built compared to a lot of what’s out there now days.

received this item quicker than expected, however it was not as advertised. the toy does not talk. there’s not even a place to hold batteries! I really hope i can find a valid replacement before Christmas!.

Fun toy overall but Disappointed wings don’t work. No space helmet or laser. Could have been made a litttttle better. Good as a little figure but my son did buy the larger version and prefers it over this one.

This Jessie figure is the new favorite! My 6 year old has been a fan of Toy Story for a few years now and has acquired a few Toy Story play-line figures throughout recent years. This figure is by far the best as far as quality at this price point! The details of her hair braids, and the articulation in the joints makes this a clear winner! Jessie’s neck can move side to side, her wrists and thighs can swivel, plus her elbows and knees can bend in multiple positions! We also love the ability for Jessie to stand on her own and hold her hat! It is also a big plus that the hat fits snugly on her head! We have had issues with hats not staying on with other versions in the past.

This is definitely a figure worth keeping for collectors and for those who want to tap into their imagination and play!.

My Toy Story loving kids absolutely love this Jesse doll. She is bigger than I thought she would be, slightly larger than a Barbie doll. She is well made and should stand up to my young kids playing a but rougher with her.

Her Hat is removable and made from a softer plastic than the rest of the doll, but it still seems like it will stand up to rough play. I love that her arms and legs move and have joints at the knee and elbow as well as the shoulder and hip.

the joints were a bit stiff at first, but seem to be loosening up and becoming a bit easier to move with time, while staying where you place them. Overall a super fun toy, and we will be looking into hopefully getting Woody and Buzz as well.

My 3 year old granddaughter loves playing with the potatoe heads . Can switch the pieces easy. Has a ball.

Lots of family fun, my son and I were playing with the whole box and we were both laughing and giggling and he was so happy with the whole thing. Thank you!

Well happy my grandson have been going on about these for a good while

The Woody toy and Prospector Pete seem well made. They have articulated joints which is nice. My kids also love playing with them and they hold their attention for quite a while. However, Woody’s hat doesn’t stay on at all.

It’s quite annoying. My kids keep bringing him to me and wanting his hat put on but it just doesn’t stay on. Also, “Andy” isn’t written on the bottom of Woody’s foot. That is the first thing my 8 year old looked for so he was disappointed until I let him write his own name on Woody’s foot! Overall, fun toys with a couple minor design flaws.

These Woody and Stinky Pete characters are fun and colorful and a great size for toddlers who are fans of the Toy Story Movies. I think they may be a little more fun if they were able to say different phrases, but those sounds are sometimes the same things that end up annoying us as parents later.

With that in mind, these silent action figures were enjoyed by my youngest daughter who liked that she could remove their accessories when she wanted to. As expected, Woody was her favorite in the duo! I received this product for free through the Mattel Play, Rate & Review Program in exchange for my honest opinion.

My son’s face lit up when he saw this toy! He loves Toy Story and has watched each movie multiple times. He was so excited to play with Woody and the Prospector. The toy is made well and really kept my son’s attention.

It is great for one kid or two as it comes with two characters to play with. My son liked how Woody’s hat and the Prospector’s axe are detachable. I definitely recommend this toy especially for fans of Toy Story!.

We love buzz but he has one big flaw. The flaw really only affects me as the mom. So let’s start with pros. Pros: • he’s made from a durable but not heavy material. My toddlers have dropped him claiming he’s “flying” more times than I can count and I don’t even see a mark on him • the material on his face is not shiny, it’s almost textured (see pic) makes him easy to grip and also seems like the texture would help the paint on his face stay long term.

We have Jessie and woody dolls that have paint coming off and they have super slick shiny surfaces. So it’s a plus it feels made to last to scratches and drops but also that it’s wipeable still without being super slick? • many different sounds and sayings not just one over and over Cons: • that being said … this thing talks when the button between his wings is pushed and if the button on his chest is pushed.

It legitimately never stops talking. Ever. It falls? Talking. Kid throws it, button pushed when hits the floor, talking, kid pushes two button options 582985 times, talking talking talking. Never. Not.

Talking. • here’s the biggest con to follow up with the previous one: unless I’m blind – there is no off switch. Unless you unscrew the plate off and remove a battery there is no way to make this thing shush up other than taking it away from your kid who inevitably loves it (rude) or removing battery (lame) so you go from 0 to 10 within about 20 minutes of your child grabbing this thing.

Sad because it goes with our collection but I’m about to have a breakdown this thing has me at my wits end. This buzz is a perfect mimic of the buzz in the movies and your kid is sure to love it! And it is sure to drive you insane.

Overall Buzz Lightyear is very similar to previous issued figures with new phrases and the action karate chop right arm. It was cool that new phrases were activated with the action chop, but they were a little out of sync with the action.

Pushing in the back button starts the action and Buzz talking, but sometimes the words and the action did not go together. It would have been more realistic if the arm movement, speech and the words used were in sync and appropriate for Buzz’s action chop.

Some were and some weren’t. Regardless of the above children will have great fun with this toy as with previous Buzz lightyear figures. I would recommend this toy to both children and collectors as the actions and speech are entertaining and the toy well made.

In the USA Toy Story is still very popular with Buzz Lightyear a favorite character. I expect this toy to last well given the quality construction although I could see children tempted to use the chopping arm to try and break pencils etc leading to some damage or failure of the arm.

The Toy Story franchise began when I was a child, and it has continued to provide hours of entertainment for children ever since, including for my own. What little Toy Story fan wouldn’t want their very own Buzz Lightyear toy? This one is pretty perfect.

I like the size. bigger than the average action figure, but small enough to carry around by hand or in a backpack. If you press a button on the front of the toy, it says several iconic phrases, and I appreciate the variety of sayings.

Pressing a button on its back causes the toy to perform the “action-chop” mentioned in its description. While there are several options out there for Buzz Lightyear toys, this one is a winner. It has just enough features to keep it interesting without doing so much that it loses its ability to engage a child in play.

The size is big enough to impress and be easily held and manipulated by a child, but not so big that it takes up an excessive amount of space or is difficult to transport. Definitely take a look at this one if you’re planning to wow your little Toy Story fan with their very own Buzz Lightyear!.

I just wanna say that I have never even watched the movie. I got Disney+ and they have lil short 4-5 min pixar stories. They have a lil series called Forky asks a Question, and I just fell inlove with the little guy honestly.

Not to mention his A. D. D personality reminds me of myself LOL. I bought this for myself and I’m 30 years old. ITS ADORABLE! And quite cute,I love it.

This is a Disney movie about a child’s ability to use their imagination and make magic happen and keep their spirit alive. there are plenty of other ridiculous toy items and games out that are more worth complaining about people! We love forky! He was the best part of the movie & I was just as excited for this toy as my kiddo. I am disappointed in the one line that some other parents have mentioned (“What are you? Oh, you’re trash, just like me”).

I don’t remember this line being in the movie, and I do feel it’s not super appropriate to teach kids to call themselves or others trash. That’s the only reason for the 4 stars. Otherwise, we love it!.

As a grandma to one of the biggest Toy Story fans ever, I knew immediately that my granddaughter was going to absolutely fall in love with this Buzz Lightyear action figure! I was right! Granddaughter is four and Buzz is the perfect size for her.

Although she has only had Buzz for a few days, they are already inseparable. Buzz goes everywhere with her. He has been to the grocery store, to the doctor’s office, and has been a backseat passenger on multiple errands around town.

At home, Buzz is very simple to pose so he is able to join in lots of playtime fun. He has been a guest at a couple of Barbie tea parties, had his own birthday party, watched all of the Toy Story movies with her, had some fun with some friendly dinosaurs, and he has had a couple of epic matches with brother’s wrestling action figures.

Doesn’t have flashing lights or sound effects. Just a simple toy that lets the child use their imagination to bring it to life! Granddaughter finds it perfect, and so do I. Love it! Would recommend to other Buzz Lightyear fans!.

The figure is fully posable, sturdy, and detailed. All of the bending and rotating joints make it easy for my son to recreate his favorite poses from the movies. It’s lightweight which makes it easy to hold and manipulate, compared to the larger version.

Some other reviews mention this figure doesn’t have sound like the larger version. Not making noise in the car on long trips is a bonus for me! Plus, no batteries to worry about. It is very well made especially for the price.

It’s the perfect affordable option as a Birthday gift for a younger child or an addition to a holiday gift. It’s satisfying to see my child playing with characters that I grew up with and making lasting memories!.

My kids were excited to get the new Buzz Lightyear, as we had recently “lost” our old one. This one arrived and immediately my kids were like. “ohh he’s a little different, his head and hands are more squishy” Which is a nice feature so his hands more easily hold items the kids decide to place in them.

He is of course a little smaller than Jessie and Woody, from the same line, but I think is pretty close to scale from the original movie characters. He is sometimes difficult to get to stand on his own, but I think that’s the major issue with most Buzz toys, as he is so top heavy.

You have to get him balanced just right. His joints all move nicely and the softer material head and hands are a nice new feature. Overall I think it’s a nice basic Buzz.
